CHAPTER VISUAL

Revelation 10 — A mighty angel declares the nearness of God’s finished mystery, and John receives the little scroll that is sweet and bitter.

About this illustration

The angel’s immense scale, fiery pillars, rainbow, and sunlike face follow the vision’s poetic proportions. The sealed words of the seven thunders are not represented or supplied.

Scripture basis: Revelation 10:1–11
  1. 1And I saw another mighty angel come down from heaven, clothed with a cloud: and a rainbow was upon his head, and his face was as it were the sun, and his feet as pillars of fire:
  2. 2And he had in his hand a little book open: and he set his right foot upon the sea, and his left foot on the earth,
  3. 3And cried with a loud voice, as when a lion roareth: and when he had cried, seven thunders uttered their voices.
  4. 4And when the seven thunders had uttered their voices, I was about to write: and I heard a voice from heaven saying unto me, Seal up those things which the seven thunders uttered, and write them not.
  5. 5And the angel which I saw stand upon the sea and upon the earth lifted up his hand to heaven,
  6. 6And sware by him that liveth for ever and ever, who created heaven, and the things that therein are, and the earth, and the things that therein are, and the sea, and the things which are therein, that there should be time no longer:
  7. 7But in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he shall begin to sound, the mystery of God should be finished, as he hath declared to his servants the prophets.
  8. 8And the voice which I heard from heaven spake unto me again, and said, Go and take the little book which is open in the hand of the angel which standeth upon the sea and upon the earth.
  9. 9And I went unto the angel, and said unto him, Give me the little book. And he said unto me, Take it, and eat it up; and it shall make thy belly bitter, but it shall be in thy mouth sweet as honey.
  10. 10And I took the little book out of the angel’s hand, and ate it up; and it was in my mouth sweet as honey: and as soon as I had eaten it, my belly was bitter.
  11. 11And he said unto me, Thou must prophesy again before many peoples, and nations, and tongues, and kings.

The Second Coming of Jesus Christ

In The Second Coming of Jesus Christ, Pastor Dean Odle warns against teachings that claim Christ already returned, the millennial reign has already occurred, and believers now live in Satan's 'little season.' He begins with the apostolic command to abide in the doctrine of Christ and to reject deceivers, then reads Matthew 24 as a chronological description of a future, unmistakable, worldwide return. Odle emphasizes that the sun and moon will be darkened, the stars will fall, heaven will be rolled back, the mountains and islands will be removed, every tribe will see Christ, and the elect will be gathered after the tribulation.

The Book of Enoch

In “The Book of Enoch,” Pastor Dean Odle begins a series examining whether 1 Enoch should be received as genuine prophecy. He does not argue that it must be added to the biblical canon. Instead, he proposes that its claims should be judged by the written Word and the witness of the Holy Spirit, appealing especially to Genesis 5:21-24, Hebrews 11:5-6, and Jude 14-15. Jude’s attribution of a judgment prophecy to “Enoch the seventh from Adam” is the sermon’s central biblical basis.

Skyfall 2024: Purified Seven Times by Sal Corona

In “Skyfall 2024 - Purified Seven Times by Sal Corona,” Sal Corona presents a Scripture-centered message about the authority of Scripture, faith, Bible prophecy. Drawing especially from Psalm 126, Psalm 138:2, Mark 16, Matthew 18:11, the teaching emphasizes that Scripture is presented as the standard for doctrine, discernment, and daily obedience. Corona connects that foundation with the conviction that biblical faith trusts God’s character and acts upon His promises.
