CHAPTER VISUAL

Psalms 2 — The nations rage in vain against the LORD and His Anointed, whose rule extends from Zion to the ends of the earth.

About this illustration

The enthroned king is shown as an ancient royal figure without attempting a bodily portrait of God; broken pottery visualizes the psalm’s warning.

Scripture basis: Psalms 2:1–12
  1. 1Why do the heathen rage, and the people imagine a vain thing?
  2. 2The kings of the earth set themselves, and the rulers take counsel together, against the LORD, and against his anointed, saying,
  3. 3Let us break their bands asunder, and cast away their cords from us.
  4. 4He that sitteth in the heavens shall laugh: the Lord shall have them in derision.
  5. 5Then shall he speak unto them in his wrath, and vex them in his sore displeasure.
  6. 6Yet have I set my king upon my holy hill of Zion.
  7. 7I will declare the decree: the LORD hath said unto me, Thou art my Son; this day have I begotten thee.
  8. 8Ask of me, and I shall give thee the heathen for thine inheritance, and the uttermost parts of the earth for thy possession.
  9. 9Thou shalt break them with a rod of iron; thou shalt dash them in pieces like a potter’s vessel.
  10. 10Be wise now therefore, O ye kings: be instructed, ye judges of the earth.
  11. 11Serve the LORD with fear, and rejoice with trembling.
  12. 12Kiss the Son, lest he be angry, and ye perish from the way, when his wrath is kindled but a little. Blessed are all they that put their trust in him.

The Book of Enoch (Part 4)

In The Book of Enoch (Part 4), Pastor Dean Odle presents Enoch’s visions as an ancient prophetic witness to Jesus Christ—the Elect One, Righteous One, Son of Man, and Anointed One. He compares passages from 1 Enoch 39–62 with Genesis, Hebrews, Isaiah, the Gospels, Paul’s letters, and Revelation. Odle argues that Enoch anticipates Christ’s preexistence, wisdom, saving name, resurrection of the righteous, heavenly dwellings, the defeat of Satan, the judgment of rulers, and the final separation of the righteous from the wicked.

The Covenant with Many

In “The Covenant with Many,” Pastor Dean Odle presents a Scripture-centered message about the beast system, Bible prophecy, the authority of Scripture. Drawing especially from Daniel 9, Matthew 24, Revelation 3, Daniel 12, the teaching emphasizes that Revelation’s beast imagery is connected with coercion, worship, and end-time deception. Odle connects that foundation with the conviction that prophecy should produce discernment, readiness, and faithfulness rather than speculation alone.
