About this sermon

In “Under Attack,” Pastor Dean Odle presents a Scripture-centered message about the authority of Scripture, faith, biblical creation. Drawing especially from Romans 1, Revelation 13, Isaiah 40:22, the teaching emphasizes that Scripture is presented as the standard for doctrine, discernment, and daily obedience. Odle connects that foundation with the conviction that biblical faith trusts God’s character and acts upon His promises.

[Music] I give myself I give myself away so you can use me. I give myself away. Give myself away so you can use me. Let's sing that second verse again. Take my heart, take my life as a living sacrifice. All my dreams, all my plans, Lord, I place them in your hands. And I give myself away. I give myself away so you can use me. I give myself away. I give myself away so you can use me. And you might ask, what do I have? What do I have to give away? You know what the Lord Jesus, he said, you are of more worth than many sparrows. Many sparrows, many precious sparrows. Praise God. Amen. And amen. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. Yeah. Go ahead and praise the Lord in this place. Thank y'all. Thank you. A lot of stuff going on this morning, but uh we're going to make it. Let's pray real quick while y'all are standing. Lord, we ask you to bless Lord your people today. We ask you, Lord, to touch those that are here today, those that are watching and listening, those who will watch and listen. Lord, reveal to our hearts that your word is true from Genesis to Revelation. Lord, you didn't waste a single word. There's doctrine in every word. And Lord, we thank you for leading us into all truth. I ask you to give each and every person ears to hear and hearts to understand. We bind Satan. We bind every demon spirit, deceiving spirit, seducing spirit, spirit of error. We bind you, rebuke you and command you to go from us right now in the name of Jesus. We bind the spirit of the world. That spirit, we bind it, rebuke it, and command it to go from this service. In Jesus' name we pray. Amen. And amen. You may be seated

this morning. We're going to welcome everybody. I hope you ate a good breakfast. You all need you need to buckle in on this one. We're going back to the old days here. We're going to be here for a minute. All right. If children get unruly, you can take them down the stairs right there to and you can still hear the service downstairs. Um I understand that. I've raised a bunch of children, so I know they get unruly sometimes. Ah, look at there. Good to see you. Got Xavier here with us. That's been a while. Good to see you, young man. All right. Well, y'all ready? Um, you can go ahead. You got to start the first slide, don't you? Uh, I think we got about 150 or so this morning. Um, and I entitled this today under attack. I'll you'll understand why I named it that. But for some reason, uh, the devil has just decided that it's time to reattack biblical cosmology, aka flat earth, or as we like to be called, biblical earthers. Um it's kind of crazy what's been going on and I've kind of ignored some of it over the last couple of years. You know, I mean I've responded here and there but not in a full message. So, and actually it's been probably it was Skyfall 20 23 that I did an entire message just on biblical cosmology or true creation. Um, so it's time uh but I've labeled this one under attack because we're going to deal with a specific some specific attacks that have happened here lately. And for those of you that uh are new to this, this is going to be very helpful to you. For those of you who uh may not have ever heard of this, it's going to be helpful to you. At least you will know where we stand on the issue. To many of you, some of these things are going to be old hat, but you need to learn them better anyway. So, shall we proceed? I got a lot of videos in this today. Um Uh, of course the attack started uh when I decided to run for political office again here in Alabama. This is one of our local very left-wing liberal uh news outlets called uh Alabama Political Reporter. They're about as left-wing as it gets. Um they allow a rhino on there every now and then, but that's about it with them. But notice when I announced here they go. Aspiring Lieutenant Governor pinned 479 page flat earth screed. That's not a nice comment by the

way. Um it said it interestingly for a candidate for Lieutenant Governor Dan Odel's two 2019 book is filled with conspiratorial tales of a flat earth. Well, this is how they like to label anybody who doesn't uh agree with them. Isn't it amazing that we just No one can think for themselves. If you don't think along with the herd, then you're a conspiracy theorist, no matter how much proof you have. But remember that this is a Democrat, left-wing, liberal, basically anti-God crowd here, right? But what you're going to see is I get the same thing from so-called Christians as well. Um, here's the other part. says, "While Odel's conspiratorial views are quite public, yes, they are, uh, they were the subject of an op-ed for Yellow Hammer News back in 2021. The specifics have not been reported on. So, APR acquired a copy of his 2019 self-published book, Light Clay Under the Seal, which Odel has promoted on social media and recently as October 2023. uh a highlights reel of Odel's Facebook post scripture and assorted outofc context quotes like Clay under the seal thoroughly unlike any politicians book you may have read before. Oh yeah. Yeah. Out of Well, I love how these these guys think they know how to take the Bible in context when they don't even know God or the Bible, right? Um but then more recently there was USA Today gave me a call and of course um I asked him I said is this going to be a hit piece or are you going to actually print some of the things that I say that prove what I'm talking about there actual evidence that the earth is a flat stationary uh plane that we live on? And of course he said, "Oh yeah, I'm yeah, right. Okay." Well, out of a 30 minute interview, he included maybe three quotes, but not even full ones. And the only real full one he did is when I quoted article 6, paragraph 3, of the United States Constitution, which I guess that's good because they don't like the Constitution either. They really hate the Bible and the Constitution, these left-wing organizations. Um, of course I did this for fun, you know. We have We'll back it up here. You got to turn the volume up, man. This is for Jordan right here. All right. What does he say? You are without doubt the worst pirate I've ever heard of. But you have heard of me.

  4. 0:09:06

Yes, they have heard of me. In fact, what was interesting about the interview with Terry Collins from USA Today was the fact that he said, "Your name's been coming up." And I'm like, "You live in San Francisco. You work for a liberal lift left-wing media outlet called USA Today. Your orders come down from high up the food chain of the Illuminati controlled world." What? What? What's my Where's my name coming up? That's why I played this. They think I'm They think I'm the worst ever, but they have heard of me, right? Well, it's not just them, but it's also the Christians or alleged Christians. I don't even know who this person is. Um, this is a a woman by the name of Melissa Dhy. I think that's how you say it or daughtery. I don't know how you say that name. Anyway, she is supposedly allegedly a Christian apologist and she does she started out doing funny little Tik Tok videos, I think, or shorts and then she uh she's working on her fourth degree. So, she I guess she thinks she's in intellectual now. and her and another Christian professor at some university decided to do a deep dive for a month uh into the flat earth and Christian flatear-thers and I thought, "Wow, a whole month. Was it a complete 30 days?" Hm. Um, and you can tell that basically this one right here does the one month study and then tries to explain biblical cosmology flat earth to this one right here. And I thought and and then in the process, guess what they use? I need a copy of my book real quick. I'm going to have to read something out of it. Uh, S, would you do that for me? But they actually use my book for most of it, for most of the video. Of course, cherrypicked quotes and things and taking things clearly out of context as I'm going to show you, but this woman has uh 360 plus,000 subscribers on YouTube. and uh just I don't know when I was working on this last night, it had 45,000 views, this video. Okay, so um I thought and after listening to it the night before, I thought, you know, I do need to respond to this one because I'm sick and tired of it. And I started hearing from people all over the country and different parts of the world and they're like, did you see this? I'm like, "Yeah, I listen to the whole thing." And uh so I figured you should have to listen to some of it today.
