evening everyone want to welcome you to Prophecy Quake tonight this is your host pastor Kevin Wilkinson this is October the 17th 2017 boy do we have a show for you tonight we're going to get into the Torah the Trinity and the power of the Holy Spirit I said in the description of the show tonight we're gonna have a special guest to discuss this who breaks root Torah movement maybe for the last time but we'll see you have to wait on that see what God wants to do we'll just we'll discuss what Jesus meant when he said that he came to fulfill the law and the prophets we'll also revisit the biblical view of the trying new nature of God versus the many false theories floating around and we will look at what it really means to walk as he walked to listen so y'all just hang tight listen up listen close and we got a good show for you tonight so right now I want to go ahead and bring on our special guest we did tonight y'all will enjoy this we want to welcome pastor Dean Odle back with us tonight he's so crazy man it's good to be back we welcome everyone listening by blog talk radio watching by Facebook or YouTube tonight it's good to be back I appreciate pastor Kevin standing in for me and taking taking over while I took a little time not really a break but I just had to focus on some other things and get some get some work done so it's very good to be back with you tonight as pastor Kevin shared there a minute ago we're gonna touch on again the issue of the Torah observance the law keepers out there that want to keep the law of Moses and yet want to try to live under both the old cover the new covenant we're gonna talk about that a little bit more tonight and and I say tonight hopefully for the time being at least that this is going to be a final installment this is not my desire to keep beating this as I will call it the dead horse here because for those of you out there maybe this is be the first program or the first video or message that you've seen addressing this if it is please go back down through the videos in YouTube or the audio messages on blog talk radio and you know you can go all the way back to April when I really started addressing this issue as I saw more and more craziness out there in on Facebook and through the internet and and as I begin to get more and more questions about why do we meet on Sunday and you know the constant questions what about Christmas do you celebrate Christmas and Easter and all these questions and so you know and of course my wife was told that she she was worship of a false God because she said Jesus instead of Yeshua that really started things for me of getting back into this and studying and and and really I have been shocked I have to say I've been shocked where the
messianic movement to the whether you want to call it Hebrew roots he break roots or the Torah observe it move however you want to put it I saw things I was involved in going to Shabbat services in Birmingham you know nearly every Friday night one of my best friends studied under Joseph good and chosen people's ministries with dr. Ben Alpert and all this stuff so I've been around it I've seen it I've seen the good and I've seen the bad and I've seen the ugly and lately I'm gonna tell you I've seen more ugly than I've seen good but I do know that the Holy Spirit is on and what I want to say if this again if this is your first time you saw the title and you know you know I want to hear what he has to say tonight's not gonna be a night I'm gonna go back and rehash everything that we've covered over the different shows and and sermons that I've done in church you can go back and look go all the way back to April there's one about the he break roots Flat Earth and and the division that I saw coming because of this the extremes within the Torah movement and the Hebrew roots movement and so anyway that was a beginning and then I did one two-hour show on blog talk is only audio because before we really started video and everything but it was back in April or May and that was about a two-hour it was a two-hour show I went through the entire book of Galatians in great detail and other passages as well and it's talked about all of this and then did another video did another two hours on it and so anyway and then recently I did two messages one called the New Testament church and the Sabbath question and then of course the schoolmaster the bond woman and the dead husband was you know again there's just those two sermons were about four hours of teaching in the scriptures through the context of New Testament and and so anyway tonight is not a night to rehash all that I am going to touch on some things again but I really do want to touch on the issue of the Trinity the triune nature of God the deity of Jesus Christ maybe a little different than what you've heard but but I want to I want it to be clear because I'm seeing all kind of craziness out there about you know the the Godhead who Jesus is and it's amazing within the Torah and then this is what disturbed me one of the things that disturbed me in the beginning of looking at the Torah observant movement is that how many of them were not only diminishing things in the New Testament didn't diminishing the writings of Paul even calling the New Testament commentary one of their leaders called it the so-called New Testament I mean we're talking about
some just terrible stuff that I was hearing but well even worse is the denial of Jesus as the fullness of the Godhead bodily Jesus as God in the flesh and we we even though I've touched on that even in the recent months I did a message the triune nature of God I did another one entitled God with us so again these are subjects that I have been covering because they are the foundations of Christianity just like the issue of creation and God being our Creator and the Bible being the inspired word of of God the God breathed scriptures that we have here I'm always going to contend for the faith which was once delivered to the Saints I'm going to contend for the foundations of Christianity and that's why I posted I have I've got an entire you know Facebook page dedicated to bash me on a regular basis but I posted you know just yesterday I think it was that I'm not out to be a social media superstar I'm not out to be a flat earth superstar I'm out to and I'm set as Paul said in Philippians I am set for the defense of the gospel and I know that I tick a lot of people off and and I make a lot of people upset or uncomfortable especially if they adhere to some of these you know fringe movements and strange doctrines and you know they've left they've left traditional doctrinal biblical Christianity for these different movements and fads and things that have come and gone but there's there's certain foundations within Christianity that we don't need to move away from and so so I want to talk about some of those things but we'll get into that and also want to talk about the power of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Spirit and and that the Church of Jesus Christ should have signs wonders miracles the power of Jesus flowing I know that there's been some mockery of that there's always oh they love to quote you know Matthew 7 and say oh have we not cast out demons in thy name and in my name done with you but you're lawless and I mean I hear that all the time but I'm gonna tell you what you can call me lawless but I'll call you powerless because it's time we you know you want to talk about walking is Jesus walk Jesus cast out demons heal the sick cleanse the lepers raise the dead the crippled walk to death here the blind would see I think that is far more important than trying to keep every jot and tittle of the Old Testament law but we'll get into that too tonight but I want to start tonight in the book of Titus and in the Apostle Paul giving Holy Ghost inspired instruction to a young pastor who really would give an authority to be over a host of churches and so he tells Titus here and we're gonna read from chapter 3 verse 1 through verse 11 here and I want to read this and and again he really again reiterates justification by faith
through God's grace and he says something about the constant strivings over the law and that's why tonight look I'm not I'm not gonna continue to strive and go back and forth with these people because I've had a fun time the last few days just banning and blocking you know the Torah radicals from my from my Facebook page and and because I'm only going to give you know truth and correction and sound biblical instruction and context of the covenant where to walk in the new covenant not the old covenant and give context I don't have to revert to name-calling telling people they're clueless telling people they're ignorant telling people that you know as I have been man you want to talk about Kevin I have been just some I've been burned in effigy my brother I have been skewered I have been excommunicated spiritually I've quit following a lot of them too I've been blocking stuff and I'm just not gonna sit there and watch and and let my blood pressure be affected by this mess anymore either brother well and that's and that's what let's let's read this in Titus because that's what Titus says finally Paul's it gives instruction to him so let's read this and I want to back up and read from chapter of in I mean from verse one before we get into the end of it because so you just have context so here's Paul's instructions through the Holy Spirit through him rather to Titus he says put them in mind to be subject to principalities and powers and to obey magistrates and to be ready to every good work so you talking about being submissive to the authorities of course as much as we possibly can be and then he says to speak evil of no man to be no brawlers but be gentle showing all meatness unto all men for we ourselves also were sometimes foolish disobedient deceived serving divers lust and pleasures living in malice and envy and hateful and hating one another but after that the kindness and love of God our Savior toward man appeared not by works of righteousness which we have done but according to his mercy he saved us by the washing of regeneration and renewing of the Holy Ghost which he shed on us abundantly through Jesus Christ our Savior that being justified by his grace we should be made heirs according to the hope of eternal life this is a faithful saying and these things I will that thou affirm constantly and that they have they which have believed in God might be careful to maintain good works these things are good and profitable and demand but avoid foolish questions and genealogies and contentions and striving about the law for they are unprofitable and vain a man that is a heretic after the first and second
admonition reject knowing that he that is such is subverted and sinneth being condemned of himself so here Paul plainly instructs again the Holy Spirit through him plainly instructs this young pastor look you remind people that they are saved by God's mercy by God's grace not by works of righteousness which they have done and then he goes on to say you know you put them and remember and you avoid foolish questions genealogies contentions and striving about the law and he's talking about the law of Moses here he's talking about those it's we can sit here all day long matter of fact these folks would argue until Jesus comes back they would argue to their blue in the face you know but I'm just gonna say this I didn't come up with the phrases that we are no longer under the school master which is the law I didn't come up with a phrase that the bond woman is the allegory of the covenant from Sinai and you cast out the bond woman and we are heirs of the free I didn't come up with that I didn't come up with that we are delivered from the law that we are dead to the law I didn't come up with what the Apostles decreed in Acts 15 I didn't come up with all that so you know you guys want to keep arguing about it I'm only gonna tell you once or twice and after that I'm done I'm moving on from because I'm not gonna keep arguing about this and striving with you and fighting with you if you want to live under try to live under the law of Moses and try to keep all that you go right ahead but I'm gonna live under the new covenant and I thank God for it I thank God for what Paul said in Galatians the Liberty that we have he spoke of the Liberty we have in Christ Jesus and and the whole book of Galatians he's dealing with people push trying to push New Testament believers and to put the requirements of the Mosaic law on them and that's the context of the entire book and he says you know they've come in here to spy out our Liberty that we have in Christ Jesus and to put us back into bondage to be circumcised to keep fees to do all these things and Paul you know he twice in chapter 2 he talks about our Liberty that we have in Christ they come to spy out our Liberty to bring us back into bondage and then you know he says in chapter 5 to stand fast in the Liberty wherewith Christ has made us free and then he says again you know to to use not our Liberty as an occasion to the flesh and then he spelled out in in Galatians 5 here are the works of the flesh you don't do these things don't practice these things don't live in these things habitually so there is the law of Christ that that that phrase is used in Galatians 6 the law of Christ he uses it Romans the law of faith and you know we are under a new covenant and the new covenant has its requirements the old covenant had its requirements and the new covenant spells out what is required of us and so if you're not going to accept that and you
want to just keep fighting and arguing there's nothing more I can do if you won't accept what's in Romans Colossians 2 you want to try to explain them away or twist them around you actually revert them if you're not going to take the council decision of the Apostles in Acts chapter 15 if you're not going to listen to the book of Galatians the book of Hebrews I don't know if you're not going to listen to what the New Testament says about this issue then you're not gonna listen to me and we're not you know we're just gonna we're just gonna keep going round and round here but you know it's like what you alluded to earlier you said they equate the writings of Paul and the Apostles and that sort of stuff to commentary right like Matthew Henry and all these commentaries that we have you know they equate that with a commentary and it's easy to dismiss them right right and then you know here's the thing they talk about they always want to go back and they want to talk about Psalm 119 of course there's some ministry out there it named itself after that and and and they want to talk about you know the law is perfect and the law is what it gives you know and nobody's nobody's arguing that the law in what it was designed to do was perfect in what it was designed to do I mean that's why Paul says in Galatians that the law was our schoolmaster to bring us to Christ and to bring us to faith but once faith is come we're no longer under the schoolmaster and so it couldn't be looks folks if you're in that I'm telling you it couldn't be more clear I'm not saying that the law was not perfect in what God designed it to do he designed it to bring the knowledge of sin he designed it to bring us conviction of sin he he brought it forth as a standard of his perfect righteousness and then he said this was to bring us to Christ this was our schoolmaster this was our teacher our trainer our mentor to bring us to Jesus Christ so that we would know we were sinners and we had need of a savior and that we had need of redemption and then of course he talks about that the blood of bulls and goats could never do away with sin so it was a temporary solution until God himself would take on human flesh live a sinless life born of a virgin and then die a sacrificial death on the cross thus changing the law of the animal sacrifices thus changing the law of the Levitical priesthood and creating a new covenant a new covenant with new law new requirements and if you can't if you can't understand that there's not a whole lot more I can tell you I mean it's just really you choose how you want to live and then I thank God listen I'm I've had a lot of the negativity coming at me from you know the extremes out there but I've also
had a lot of people email comment text just letting me know how thankful they are that they were confused about some of these things and that me taking the time and letting the Holy Spirit lead me to really address this subject thoroughly since April that that they've been greatly helped they are more at peace and they are learning how to live new covenant Christianity and not as you know and again they keep keeping the thing that if we don't keep the law of Moses we're lawless no no you can't you can't pull that one on the guy who wrote the book grace abuse to Baptist and Methodist and Calvinist and reformed theology people until you can't which I wrote a whole book saying you can't live and indulge the lust of the flesh and think you're going to heaven when you die so to call me or anybody else that doesn't keep your Torah movement and your law of Moses lawless is just a lie it's just it's just out of context maybe you believe it but you're still wrong I don't care if you're sincere in your belief you're wrong nobody here not me not pastor Kevin not fire and grace church not anybody that I know that understands the new covenant says you can live any way you want to live and you think you're going to heaven you can just habitually practice the lust of the flesh and the works of the flesh that Paul listed in Galatians 5 or Ephesians 5 or that John listed in Revelation 21 6 through 8 nobody can you know we don't believe anybody can live as a habitual adulterer or fornicator or drug you know drunken in drunkenness or idolatry or witchcraft or hatred we don't believe that I mean we know what is required of us under the new covenant so to say that if you know I know that I'm not a sinless man or a perfect man but I know I'm not habitually living in the sins unto death listed in the New Testament so I am not lawless because I don't keep the Sabbath on Saturday or because I don't keep the feast or because I don't do what you think I should do and what's funny you know what's really funny I had one woman come on my page yesterday and and claim that she keeps all of the new of the Old Testament law of Moses I thought to myself I wonder if she if she separates herself when she's on her cycle and doesn't touch anybody or any man or anybody and and I you know I mean I just I just started this I just told her flat out no you don't you don't keep every law of Moses you don't and you know you don't so either you're lying you're living a lie whatever you want to call it but she doesn't and it's just funny some of the extremes and and and tonight you know one of the things as we as we get into this before we get into the Trinity and the power of the Holy Spirit because to me these things are are even more important they're paramount I just want to deal with with one passage and let's go back to Matthew chapter 5 and this
is the one we keep hearing over and over and over again and you know I guess I just I'm blown away by people because they just can't seem to look at words define them accurately and and understand what they mean in context with the rest of the of the New Testament but this is the one that gets used all the time I mean I've heard it several times today I've had what I call maniac meme posters on my page and I've had to ban you know constant memes from their favorite Torah ministries out there but this is the one let's go to Matthew 5 right here where Jesus speaking the Sermon on the Mount he's given the the blessings and you're the light of the world and so on and so forth and then he comes down to verse 17 and he says think not that I am come to destroy the law or the prophets I came not to destroy but to fulfill for verily I say unto you till heaven and earth pass one jot or one tittle shall know why is pass from the law tell all be fulfilled now before we get to verse 19 let's just deal with this part first Jesus everybody that their their main thing they talk about and they say it over and over again he says Jesus said I come not to destroy the law but to fulfill now their their focus is always on the part where Jesus said I did not come to destroy so they immediately jump to that means that Jesus wants us to keep all the Old Testament law of Moses that we're still required to do all that stuff circumcision and all the feast and the Sabbath and you know all the ceremonies and thing that Jesus expects us to do all that because he said he didn't come to destroy the law what I can't seem to understand is why they don't really do a deep in-depth study on what he said he came to do and that is he didn't come to destroy he came to fulfill now you look up the word fulfill in in the in the Greek language and it means that he comes to satisfy to execute to finish to fill up I mean it is the illustration and that's what I have here I didn't get to it Sunday morning but Jesus came to fulfill the law so this is this is the law here and Jesus comes and he fulfills it he filled it up by what he did his sacrifice on the cross living a sinless life Jesus filled it up I mean look at the word that's what it says now he filled it to its full he didn't destroy it he brought it to pass I mean and the reason I made this water here and I'm gonna try not to spill this but one of the reasons that I made this blood red is because it's all about his blood once his blood was shed that paid for you know for instance okay in the law we have
the commandments of the animal sacrifices whether it be a lamb for this a goat for that turtle dubs for this and so blood had to be shed for the remission sins in the Old Covenant and so we have the law now Jesus didn't destroy the law of the blood sacrifices no he fulfilled it and this is what's so wild is most of these people will admit that part they'll admit that Jesus became the ultimate perfect sacrifice and there is no more need for animal sacrifices and so it just really blows my mind they will admit that that part of the law of animal sacrifices to cover sin was fulfilled when Jesus died on the cross and shed his blood for sin and so they'll admit that but then they'll go but but but we still we still got to keep the rest of it we got said we still got to do the rest of it and they just they're missing the entire boat because Jesus when he said he came to fulfill the law and then when he said not until heaven and earth pass not one jot or tittle will be fulfilled listen I know this I've read you know one of the smart aleck leaders of this movement likes to make it likes to make statements like oh this this idiot preacher is clueless he probably hadn't read Exodus or Deuteronomy or this you know what that is that is so junior high okay because here's the deal I've read it dude I've been in this stuff for 30 years oh yeah but if I say that now I'm bragging yeah I'm bragging but you know at least I'm not 20-something years old and think I know it all or you know anyway we'll get to that in a second too but the point of it of it all is is this you know will it will admit that that part is fulfilled meaning you listen what does it mean if in the Old Covenant right if in the Old Testament law we were commanded to sacrifice and I'm gonna get back to Exodus here in a second but we were commanded and these are forever commandments then we know that when Jesus died on the cross the animal sacrifices that aspect of the law was to cease no more right all right so then how does the forever law continue how is it that not one jot or tittle of the law will fail well because Jesus did it and because his blood is the blood of God and because his blood is sinless and because his blood is unique and it is eternal which is why the blood of Jesus can continually wash our sins away if we come to him and confess our sins and ask for his forgiveness according to 1st John 1 his blood can continually wash away sin because it is eternal and it is powerful right so the blood of Jesus because he died and being God in the flesh and never seeing corruption his everything about him spirit soul and body everything about him is eternal he
is the eternal high priest he is the eternal sacrifice he is the eternal Passover lamp therefore all I have to do according to Romans according to Galatians according to these books all I have to do is come into Jesus through faith and faith is believing what he did for me on the cross his resurrection from the dead and being willing to start a relationship with him through faith and and repentance I'm going to turn away from my old life from my sins and indulgences of the flesh and I'm going to be in Christ Jesus by faith so this is me I'm going to go in Jesus now watch me spill this and yes I did I'm in Jesus so folks when Jesus fulfilled the law here he fulfilled the law by shedding his blood he fulfilled the law of animal sacrifices and also the law of Passover I mean he's the the Passover lamb was always the point to Jesus at coming that's why the that's why John the Baptist said you know behold the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world so Jesus becomes not only my sacrifice he becomes my Passover he becomes everything I need and so boom I'm did you get that were we on there with the glass I'm the shot glass I'm inside I'm in him I'm in Jesus Christ and so I'm dead I'm dead I'm crucified with Christ nevertheless I live but how do I live I live by the faith of the Son of God so if I am in Christ by faith and by his grace and I am in Christ then everything he is is fulfilled to me that's why you get these scriptures folks and this is how what not one job to the table everybody talks about these forever laws right the the Passovers to be done forever and and you know the the I mean some of them are even going back to killing the lamb on Passover to actually killing the lamb so they can shed the blood of a lamb on Passover and trying to keep it like they did in the Old Covenant to me that's blasphemy of what Jesus did because Jesus fulfilled that he completed that aspect he didn't destroy it he completed it he perfected it he executed it he satisfied it he filled it to its full if there's no more you can add to it he did it and so according to what he has done he is my animals he is my blood sacrifice I don't need the animal sacrifice he is now my priest after the order of Melchizedek therefore the Levitical priesthood is done finished done away with disannulled as it says in Hebrews gone he is according to 1st John 5 he Christ is our Passover so if I'm in him he is the Lord of the Sabbath he said come into me and I will give you
rest I don't have to keep a certain day to rest Jesus is my rest he is my Sabbath he is the Lord of the Sabbath he is everything he fulfills if I am in him and he is in me it the law that he fulfilled the law of Moses he fulfilled it's fulfilled to me you want you want me to show you yeah and hopefully this will make sense to somebody out there but you then you if you understand that then you can go to Romans chapter 8 beautiful passage Romans 8 verse 1 beautiful there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus who walked not after the flesh but after the spirit what are the works of the flesh Galatians 5 spells is spelled out so he says you don't walk after those things you don't you don't habitually practice the works of the flesh so that's the new covenant law the new covenant requirements you can't be you know a licentious you know apostate so he says there is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus who walked not after the flesh but after the spirit now listen to the verse 2 for the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death for what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh God sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh and foreseen condemned sin in the flesh what that the righteousness of the law the righteousness of the law with all the requirements of the Old Testament law the the Mosaic law that the righteousness of the law might be again here's the word fulfilled in us who walked not after the flesh but after the spirit so he's clear here that the law is fulfilled in us if we are in Christ Jesus he fulfilled it if I'm in him the righteousness of the law is fulfilled now that makes helps you make sense when you go to Galatians go to Galatians chapter 2 and this is why it's just beautiful you can just you can be at peace folks it's not about striving it's not about striving to keep the law it's not about striving it's not I got these you know 613 laws and then they want to argue well that's summer for women and summer for men so it's not that you know I don't you know what I don't care I'm free I have Liberty in Christ Jesus and he says here look at look at Galatians chapter 2 this is just I mean this is just good
stuff Galatians 2 will go down oh you know and some of this I've read already but let's let's read it again verse 15 we'll start there so he says we who are Jews by nature and not sinners of the Gentiles knowing that a man is not justified made righteous made right with God in right standing with God he says knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by the faith of Jesus Christ so folks before I go any further you have to understand he makes a difference here's the works of the law and he's talking about the law of Moses and he says and faith he they are contrasted he says a man is not justified by the works of the law no he's justified by faith they are exclusive of one another if you if you don't understand that I'm just saying you just see the spirit of error seducing spirits and doctrines of devils has a hold of you because the truth is simple here there is righteousness if you're trying to obtain righteousness by keeping the law no no he says there is what no man is justified by the works of the law of Moses he says but by faith of Jesus Christ even we have believed in Jesus that we might be justified by the faith of Christ what wait a minute by the faith of Christ or the faith in Christ see he switches it on you and he says first of all he says you know we're in Christ and then he says oh but if we're in him I don't have to even live by my own faith I can live by his what I can't do he can do through me and that's what he says here he says knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by the faith of Jesus Christ even we have believed in Jesus Christ that we might be justified by the faith of Christ and not by the works of the law for the works of the law shall no flesh be justified and then he says for for if while I seek to be justified by Christ and we ourselves are found sinners is therefore Christ the minister of sin God forbid for if I build again the things which I destroyed I make myself a transgressor he's saying there no I don't get to go live and indulge my flesh no we're not going back we when you come into Jesus Christ you're a new creature old things pass away all things become new you don't keep being adultery don't keep being a drunkard you don't keep being a whore monger as I said what comes to mind there is that video on that where they define what repentance is where you they talk about burning down the house oh yeah yeah that comes to mind there you which you destroyed you burned it down you walked away from it you can't go back to it right the work the word picture in the paleo Hebrew right yeah
burning down a house so much that you can't go back and live in it anymore that's what I just that's what come to mind when you're reading that scripture right there when it says things which I destroyed right right exactly we destroy you again no one that's a true new covenant New Testament born-again Christian that is walking in truth believes that you can just live a rebellious sinful you know life in the flesh according to the flesh you can't do it and that's what Paul's talking about you know I came out I'm not going to go back I'm not going to go and indulge the lust of the flesh and then he goes this now listen verse 19 he says for I through the law am dead to the law that I might live unto God I am crucified with Christ nevertheless I live yet not I but Christ liveth in me and the life which I now live in the flesh I live by the faith of the Son of God who loved me and gave himself for me I do not frustrate the grace of God for if righteousness come by the law then Christ is dead in vain so he's saying here clearly I live now everything I am I am crucified with Christ I am in him he is in me the life that I now live is through him so if Jesus fulfilled the law folks he fulfilled the requirements of the law of Moses I don't have to go back and try to fulfill it if this this jar that represented the law here is is full I can't there's nothing I can go back and add any more to it I just have to remain in the one who fulfilled it and if I live in him if I live in him through faith and I live in with him in that real genuine born-again relationship then I am the the righteousness of the law is fulfilled in me not by going back and trying to keep every jot and tittle it's because he kept it it's because he fulfilled it he finished it he is everything and see that's the again this is what's so beautiful about this is the focus is not on what I can do the focus is on what he did and what he continues to do as long as I believe as long as I listen to his voice as long as I live with him in this new covenant in this New Testament in this new I mean I had an argument with the Torah observer right here standing right here up here beside the podium a couple of Sundays ago and they kept trying to go the old covenants better I said no the Bible
says the new covenant the better covenant better promises and I am at one point they just kept rattling about how good it was to go back and keep the law and I'm like okay I'm not saying the law wasn't good it was good in what it was purpose to do I said hint but God gave us a new covenant with but then he called it a new covenant a better covenant with better promises and so it's better why is it better hey I'm glad I don't have to go you know raise a lamb and keep it in the house with me as a pet and then kill it on you know Passover I'm glad I don't have to do this stuff now if I was living under the old covenant and that's what God required of me before there were there was no new there was just one covenant I mean there's even some of them suggesting there's only one covenant and I'm like okay you're really you know you're really kind of whacked if that's what you think but again I just wanted to focus in on that Jesus fulfilled the law and so because he fulfilled the law of the of the blood sacrifices the animal sacrifices he fulfilled that we don't do that anymore and he he is our Passover the Bible says he's ever then therefore it means he's our feast Jesus fulfilled the feast he's all of them he is the Lord of the Sabbath and that's why you see the apostles in Acts 15 who are walking in Holy Ghost Holy Spirit revelation knowledge that's why you see them say we're not putting that on the Gentiles the Gentiles do not the question do the Gentiles have to keep have to be circumcised and keep the law of Moses and they said no that's not what we put on them that is not what they're commanded to do we gave no such commandment and we're not putting that yoke on them that bondage that burden that we're not going to trouble their souls that's what they said so that's the decree and if you don't put your Christianity in context then you're going to end up deceived you're going to end up in bondage you're going to end up in a system of of legalism where things are being put on you and required of you that are not required of you and and what I'm finding and I'm just gonna tell you what I'm finding more than anything else is it's almost like well you know it's a it's an extreme level of pride and meanness but I want to remind folks as we as we get into this because we're gonna cover it thoroughly tonight but let's stop and think about the religious leaders of Israel in the time Jesus came these were men like Paul or Saul of Tarsus Gomel Nicodemus some of them their eyes were opened but for the most part you know Annas and Caiaphas and the rest of the Pharisees and you have to think of it the
scribes the lawyers they knew the scriptures back they knew the Old Testament backwards and forwards and sideways they knew the law they knew the prophets they knew it and yet when Jesus came on the scene and he didn't do everything exactly like they thought he shit they couldn't even handle it when he was casting out demons what they say oh you're doing that by Beelzebub he heals a man on the Sabbath stretch forth your hand they went out to see how they could destroy him I'm just saying that this spirit this Pharisee spirit that's more focused on trying to keep the letter of the Mosaic law and is missing the relationship and the power of the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the Holy Spirit and what we're supposed to be doing setting people free that's why I'm not gonna spend much more time arguing about this fussing about this or even teaching about this because you know what I'm gonna do I want to see more miracles I want to I want to get closer to Jesus I want to get my faith strong I want to fast and pray I want to seek God until God is moving in revival again until when I want to see the miracles happening more frequently and more powerful mirrors like they did when I was younger I mean we're still seeing people healed and still seeing Jesus do amazing things but it's it was nothing like it was in the 80s and 90s I mean there was a move of God happening and again it wasn't in the Hebraic roots movement it wasn't in the Torah movement it was in these dreadful terrible Sunday churches that the crippled were walking the blind were seeing the deaf hearing revival happening millions of people getting saved watching people weep and repent and be born again I truthfully I don't even know why I'm maybe it's just God wanted me wanted me to come into this and to at least get this issue clear from a true New Testament perspective for people out there so they could hear it and and I don't have to keep dealing with it they can hear they can watch the videos and listen to the audios and so on down the line I may write something on it too so it's in print but still you know I want to move on I want to move on and go deeper in the things of God and see revival I don't want to just you know I don't want to sit around and get you know have a people a bunch of people you know that are awakened to what calendar to use so they know what window I am NOT I don't even know why anybody's interested in
that I would be asking the question why are we not raising the dead Jesus said the signs he did should should follow those that believe he said the works I do you should do also John 14 12 are you doing that are you doing it well I'm jumping ahead of myself I tell you what can we do this we're gonna take a quick break so I can get me a little drink of water and remove my illustration before I spill any more red dye my wife please forgive me it really only got on the towel babe but anyway you're listening to prophecy quake I'm your host pastor Dean Odell back with you after a little break along with my co-host pastor Kevin Wilkerson it's good to be back we're gonna jump it jump into the the Trinity and talk more about the power of the Holy Spirit in a second but please stay with us it's it's gonna get even better we'll be right back well let's get back to our study tonight of course if you just joined us we have been talking about the Torah movement do we are we required to keep the law of Moses what did Jesus mean when he said I fulfilled the law and so we talked about that if you missed it you'll have to catch the archive later on but we're gonna continue on talking about the Trinity and the power of the Holy Spirit now this is this is some important stuff because when we talk about the very nature and character of God who he is it's important that we understand this now granted there's some sometimes some things difficult to understand about the triune nature of God and but there's some things that the Bible is it's so clear that we just we have to we have to create we I don't say create but we have to understand those things in context with one another so we don't get out there crazy now and now here's some things that you've got it when we talk about this and the reason I'm bringing this up is because I've seen some crazy discussion of people who claim to be Christians especially in the Hebrew roots Torah observance movement man they have a lot of crazy ideas about who Jesus is a lot of them deny that Jesus is fully God in the flesh some of them will say no he's God in the flesh but he's only part of God one of the things I heard recently was that he's the literal right hand of God that and therefore he's part of God but he's not basically all of God that is completely false because as we're going to show you we're gonna go to Colossians chapter 2 and in fact go ahead and go there we'll go to Colossians 2 the Apostle Paul again by the revelation by the
inspiration of the Holy Spirit said that Jesus Christ of Nazareth the one who died on the cross and rose from the dead that he is the fullness of the Godhead bodily fullness now that means complete that doesn't mean he's just the right hand or that he's just part I heard somebody say that oh Jesus is not really God he's just a manifestation he's a representative he's he just represents God and I'm sitting here going you know let's let's just get this straight there there there's something we we got to get straight and and again I've said it over and over again but but first I guess I don't want to jump ahead because again I'm not doing this with notes tonight I'm just doing this from my memory of the scriptures in this matter but let's look at it this is Colossians we'll back up and read a few verses before but the whole thing he's talking about and he's talking about Jesus here and oh we'll just start at verse 6 he says as you have received as you have therefore received Christ Jesus the Lord so walk in him so you received him by faith you walk with him by faith and then he says rooted and built up in him and established in the faith as you have been taught abounding therein with thanksgiving beware lest any man spoil you through philosophy and vain deceit after the traditions of men after the rudiments of the world and not after Christ for in him speaking of Christ Jesus the Messiah for in him dwelleth all the fullness of the godhead bodily folks I don't know how more you can say that doesn't say he's just the right hand I mean listen there's some descriptors of Jesus that are just the you know it the Bible says he's the Lamb of God but does that mean he's a literal lamb no it's it's figurative language to explain what he did for us and how the Old Testament shadow of a lamb being slain and the Passover and the blood on the doorpost and causing the death angel to pass over and all that and to cover see it okay he's called the Lamb of God it's figurative language is descriptive language to say he's the right hand of God is again figurative descriptive language of of what he carries out the right hand the mighty hand of God carries out the work of God it's a it's a descriptor but again it's not absolutely literal so if you say that Jesus is the literal right hand of God and therefore he's only the hand think about this folks my hand could get cut off and my body would survive you get I'm saying my hand is important but it is not important it is not fully me
right so this scripture right here destroys that and again that's one of the leaders of the Torah movement they're one of their brilliant ideas about the Trinity and again they don't even believe the Holy Spirit they simply believe the Holy Spirit is the breath of the Father we'll deal with that in a second too but here here let this sink in this is what the Apostles taught New Covenant Christianity about who Jesus is the in the very nature of God it says in him in Christ dwelleth all Kevin does that say all it does say all and I think it means all let's put that verse back on the screen right here all for in him in Jesus Christ dwelleth all the fullness of the Godhead bodily I don't know how you get away with saying he's just the right hand he's just part of God and that's that was the idea he's just part of God he's not fully God that's blasphemy that's error that's false doctrine and I don't care who's teaching it I don't care how popular they are I don't care how famous they are I don't care about their superstar status it's false Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead bodily that's why he talks about Jesus is when you see Jesus he is the fullness of God he is when you see him you've seen you seeing God now let me let me I mean I mean I could just tell you the truth I could just camp on this scripture folks if you're confused again about who Jesus is and in this right here this is a confession of who Jesus is in the flesh I mean you're getting into the realm of if you don't confess Jesus Christ the true Jesus Christ as the Bible reveals him as God manifested in the flesh if you don't believe it you are you have departed from the foundation one of the very foundations of Christianity you've departed from the doctrine one of the sound doctrine just period you you you are out there in your own lala land but Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead bodily now let's let's remember that we may come back to that in just a second and look at it I mean you can look up the words it means complete not not part fullness of the Godhead in bodily form all right so let's let's look at how that works let's go back to one of the to the to Isaiah 9 6 & 7 and and you know as I go back here to the Old Testament it can I just make it be known that I
don't hate the Old Testament I've been accused of being a Torah hater that I hate the Old Testament that I hate the law of the Prophet no I don't hate it I just know how to put it in its proper place and proper context throw up the throw throw up the video real quick is people turn to Isaiah 9 6 this this person here there's a person the Jesus Moses versus Jesus I can't believe this this this girl I guess she came sent me a friend request and I accepted it on the flight earth issue and but I've noticed she's been very she's a very radical Torah pusher and law you know Mosaic law pusher but I've kind of ignored some of her stuff and you know just I let people stay on if they don't pester me to death or you know get rude or sarcastic or just attack mode all the time but anything she didn't put this on mine I just happened to see it in the in the newsfeed and and basically I hope everybody can see it I mean it's Jesus walking on the water and then Moses is back there part in the sea and making Jesus fall down and and I thought about that in and underneath it it says Moses versus Jesus and she had all these laughing emojis you know with the tears and and some of her and her Torah friends were just laughing it up and I'm sitting here going this is truly this reveals the heart and the attitude of so many people that truly exalt mosaic the mosaic law Moses over Jesus now they won't admit this this is why this was amazing that they posted this because this is really blasphemous let me tell you what Moses would be doing Moses would be bowing at Jesus feet and worshiping him that's what Moses would be doing if Moses was with Jesus he would be bowing at his feet and worshiping Jesus not parting the water and making Jesus fall this is such a blasphemous thing but it lets you know where their heart is it lets you know that they are exalting Moses over Jesus they're exalting the old covenant law over the new covenant and this is really where this begins to go it's impossible to see you can't live under two contracts can't live live under two covenants you have to choose one of the other and this right here just it says everything I mean I tell you it's disturbing but I want you to know I don't hate the law I don't hate the prophets we learn a lot we go back and we read them it's the shadow it points us to particularly you know the the ceremonies and the rituals of the law they everything was to point us to Jesus I look like dr. Michael L Brown who is by the way a Jewish born-again Christian and he says you know that in
and he was talking about the the Torah movement the Hebrew roots movement he said he said what I see in that movement is so many people get so focused on the shadow you know the the old covenant types and shadows and the old covenant laws and ceremonies and rituals he said that they began to lose sight of the real and the shadow was to lead us to the real substance but after you know I tell people all the time if I'm using a shadow to find that Jesus's shadow in that Old Testament that old covenant if I use that shadow and it leads me to Jesus once I have him do I need the shadow anymore do I want to embrace him or the shadow and and it again I've said some of these things before but it's just fine but Isaiah 9 going back to the Trinity so those of you out there as we're looking at this if you say I hate the Torah I'm a Torah hater I hate the Old Testament or I hate the law whatever that's not true I just believe in putting it in its proper place it's proper context and according to the New Testament the New Testament is now the one in force and it's better covenant with better promises and so I say that and if you get offended at that and you have a problem but Isaiah 9 verse 6 now remember we just read Colossians 2 9 Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead bodily here the prophecy of him the Old Testament prophet Isaiah declares the same thing let's read it he says in verse 6 for unto us a child is born unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulder and his name shall be called wonderful counselor the mighty God the everlasting father and the Prince of Peace of the increase of his government and peace there shall be no end and upon the throne of David and upon his kingdom to order it and to establish it with judgment and with justice from henceforth even forever the zeal of the Lord of hosts will perform this alright now let's look at this again now literally some of these Torah observers some of these Hebrew roots people try to say that the term the mighty God is you know very oh very very widespread it could mean anything in Hebrew so that they try to diminish that aspect of this when the Bible calls this son who would be born the mighty God but it's kind of hard to get away from the fact that this child who was born to be the Savior of all mankind the Messiah to rule all nations forever that it's kind of hard when it also calls him the everlasting father kind of hard the eternal father I mean
folks are you seeing this back up to verse 6 there and let's look at it up on the screen for unto us a child is born unto us a son is given and the government shall be upon his shoulder and he's and his name shall be called wonderful counselor the mighty God the everlasting father and the Prince of Peace who is the father well well the Torah people Yahweh is the father well wait a minute then Yahweh is Jesus and Jesus is Yahweh if you don't understand that if you don't accept that you are not in true Christianity you are not in true biblical Christianity you're a heretic you're in false religion because see all these religions whether it be Islam whether it be Jehovah Witnesses Mormonism they all attack who Jesus is they all attack and they try to diminish him as being less than the fullness of the Godhead bodily but the Bible is clear he's the fullness New Testament Colossians 2 9 he's the fullness of the Godhead bodily and here it says the son this child who would be born who would also be called the son his name is also the mighty God and the everlasting father I talked about this before but of course Isaiah 7 14 talks about a virgin conceiving and Emmanuel God with us being God with us now let's understand how this works okay because you have to reconcile two aspects of the character and nature of God here oh Israel the Lord I got is one right and the issue of father son and Holy Spirit how do we reconcile this are there three persons is there one okay now it's it's it's it's really important we're gonna go to let's get let's go to several more passages here before we explain the differences here let's go to first of all go to Genesis 1 verse 26 somebody ought to say this is good stuff we're gonna learn who God is the character nature of God and then again this is foundational I mean if you know somebody's confused and messed up about this please get them to listen and go through these scriptures Genesis 126 all right now you know the very nature of
the word Elohim is plural so the first name we have or the first word that used to translated God is Elohim which gives you a in the Hebrew a plural but it doesn't mean many gods I've heard people say talk about this this is pagan gods it's crazy some of the stuff that's out there but what God is revealing he's he's in the beginning revealing he is one God but he has three parts I want to make that clear three parts all right this is where I may differ with traditional Trinitarian doctrine I think the part the problem is is the traditional Trinitarian doctrine has said three persons instead of three parts one one God with three parts and this is very important I'm going to show you why I had somebody mentioned to me well that's modelism and you're good that's off now I'm gonna show you why it's not in modalism because modalism basically says God only manifested himself in three ways he's just whether it's the father it's a manifestation or the son it's a manifestation and what they say is basically he's one manifestation at a time that you know under the Old Testament he manifested himself as the father when Jesus came to down he manifested himself as the son and after that when the church was born he manifested himself as the Holy Spirit and that basically he just manifest himself in these different forms but that's the only part it's only you know it's only one form at a time that's what modalism is and we'll put that up in a second you know again no order we're just going through it tonight all right but Genesis 126 let's look at this this is what God said God said let us make man in our image right after our likeness let us I'm sorry I'm getting a little ahead of myself and God said let us make man in our image after our likeness and let them have dominion over the fish of the sea and over the fowl of the air and over the cattle and over the earth and over every creeping thing that creepeth upon the earth verse 27 so God created man in his own image in the image of God created he him male and female created he them and God bless them so God created man and he said let us make man in our own image now again a lot of people trying to take that and oh there were there were gods plural they made no let's let's look at how this works so God made man in his own image all right in his likeness so let's go to first Thessalonians chapter 23 I mean chapter 5 verse 23 first that's on yeah there's only five chapters first Thessalonians 5 23 because we got a reconcile all this all right everybody let me get there first Thessalonians 5 23
all right now let's look at man here what constitutes a man all right 5 23 here's what Paul said by the Holy Spirit speaking through him and the very God of peace sanctify you wholly or completely and I pray God your whole spirit and soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ so he says to the human beings consist of a spirit a soul and a body now a lot of you again you've heard me teach this and I want to make it very very clear here that there are three different words here in the Greek so the word and I'm just looking at it here on my screen of course I know this by heart but I've got the blue letter Bible pulled up I've got first Thessalonians 5 23 so it gives us the multiple lexicons Greek lexicons but we have three distinct words different words for spirit soul and body a lot of people believe the spirit and soul the same thing couldn't be further from the truth they are very different very unique let's look at the the word spirit is Numa the word soul is sukkah you know it gets kind of crazy with the pronunciation but sukkah or sukkah kind of where we get our word psyche from but it's pronounced different in Greek and then the word for body written here is soma so you have three different words Numa sukkah and soma so three very different words now let's break it down all right so there's one Dean Odell there's one Kevin Wilkinson just one there's not three persons you don't look at me and see three persons I am made Kevin is made we are made in the image and likeness of God so you there's not three persons please understand that but we are one person that has three very distinct parts that exist at the same time that's why this is not modalism that I'm talking about this is biblical Christianity and so here let me explain this the spirit of man I'm just talking about mankind human beings right now the spirit we have a spirit of soul in the body now the spirit contains and you know the Bible says that God formed Adam from the dust of the ground and he breathed into Adam and Adam became a living soul so the spirit is the part of God the the life force of God like people can be for instance let's just explain it this way you can have someone who's had severe brain trauma now they could be completely dead in their brain but their body still alive and they're they still have the life force of their spirit living within them but their brain which would
be their soul and I explained that in a minute too is dead all right but yet the life force is still there and the body is still and that's why Proverbs 18 talks about that the spirit of man sustains his infirmity meaning the spirit is what sustains the flesh your human spirit sustains the flesh that's why the little girl that was dead that Jesus raised from the dead the little girl in the moment she he came in there and she I can't remember how long but she'd been dead for a little while the moment Jesus raised her up and brought her spirit back into her body and she came back to life he said Jesus tells them give her something to eat why her flesh had been weakened by the spirit being out of her body and that is an important truth and we'll get there's just so much to this but let's just look at so you have the spirit you have the soul and your body so let's define it the spirit is that life force of God that he breathed into Adam but Adam became a living soul well the the soul part is the consciousness the individual unique consciousness that makes us all different and and very unique the spirit is the area that we have our conscience the inward ability to just know right and wrong it is the part of us where intuition lives and dwells where we perceive things it's the area where we see in the spirit realm we have spiritual eyes spiritual ears we can pray in the spirit I mean so the spirit man is very very real very tangible and very alive and and has and that's what when we see in the spirit when we see a vision or we have a dream that's from God we are seeing into the spirit realm with our human spirit with our spiritual eyes that's in our human spirit when God speaks to us and we hear that still small voice that's not audible but we hear him inside of us Christically we're hearing in the spirit when we pray in tongues and the gift of tongues it says that our spirit is praying through us the Holy Spirit with our human spirit and it talks about you know the Bible talks about when we're saved the Holy Spirit bears witness with our spirit that we are children of God so where the Holy Spirit works with us and speaks to us and reveals things to us is in the spirit and then the spirit transmits it to the soul the soul is the consciousness the mind the will the emotions it is again it's it's who we are it's it's our uniqueness it's you know it's kind of like our spiritual DNA it's it makes us different from one another even though we all kind of look the same and we were the same form we have you know same physiology basically it's that for men and women a little different but still what you get that is we're all pretty much we're very similar but what makes me different from Kevin is not just our looks but that
our soul we have a different consciousness we're different individual and so and then you know this is this is part of what's driving science crazy right I was trying to understand the conscious where did the consciousness comes from and again they can't create that they're trying to create it through artificial intelligence and all this other stuff but it's uniquely from God so you have the spirit again where we worship in spirit and truth where we see the dreams and visions where we have intuition where our conscience is so you have the spirit Numa then you have the soul the mind the will the emotions the consciousness and then you have the physical body in which dwell so you have three very distinct parts as a human being now we'll put this up here the the people in the occult world in whether it be witchcraft Satanism Kabbalah you know even the Muslim Sufis the Buddhists the Hindus the Wiccans they all hadn't understand that there is that that human beings are these three parts and through meditation through disobeying the Word of God and getting into vain repetition using visualization using different techniques that that bring people into disobedience to God remember Jesus said in Matthew 6 don't use vain repetitions in prayer as the heathen do well these people learn how in witchcraft to open doors to demons to come in them to help them form these links between the soul and spirit and most people in the new age in the occult in witchcraft or in Buddhism or Hinduism or Sufism or the Kabbalah they've learned to use these all of them very similar techniques of visualization or chanting or repetitive type prayers but they've learned how to make this connection and literally what they call astral project or astral travel now some of them call it soul travel because they don't know the difference but I mean there's even workbooks the astral projection workbook to teach you how to have out-of-body experiences these people are having real experiences they they have tapped into demonic power and occult power and their spirit will come out of their body and they said they'll see it attached by this silver cord and they will travel to other places in the spirit while their body stays in their house or in their bedroom at night or while they're meditating or whatever they're doing and they will travel Shirley McLean talked about this in her book out on a limb and at the movie out on the limb I mean this is this is really one of the pinnacles of of the occult realm in witchcraft and or new age or enlightenment or you know whatever you want to call it the this is what they call when they reach this pinnacle of meditation and this ability to have out-of-body experiences they they call
this reaching your God consciousness and stuff but what I'm getting at is they understand and they practice the spirit leaving the body there that this part of the three parts of the human being can actually separate and we see this in the Bible we see God doing this with Ezekiel we see God doing this with Paul he talked about being absent in the flesh but present in the spirit beholding what they were doing God took Ezekiel says he took his spirit out of him and took him you know from he's his bodies in Babylonian captivity and then but he takes him to Jerusalem in the spirit his spirit to Jerusalem and shows him what's going on in the temple so and anybody that's come out of the occult deeply involved in the occult knows what I'm saying is true well the Bible talks about to be absent with the bodies to be present with the Lord you know there's so many phrases and and this is how I explain it to you know when a Christian if you're born again and you die then your body goes in the grave and your spirit and soul come out of your body separate and go to be with the Lord until the resurrection your body is sleeping in the dust the earth I don't believe in soul sleep your body is asleep and at the resurrection when Jesus returns he awakens the body is changed in the moment the twinkling of an eye the dead in Christ rise first and what happens is you are given a new resurrected glorified body that will once again reunite with the other two parts of you your spirit and soul you will be whole you are going to be redeemed spirit soul and body you're gonna be made whole again and given a body like Jesus has that will live eternal remember when Jesus rose from the dead they could come and feel him he said it's his body it was his body that had the nail prints and the wound in his side but his body was physical he ate food with him but it was supernatural he could walk through walls with it it was different a little different glorified resurrected you know eternal so what I'm getting at is the three parts even of a human being can separate out at times and then be reunited well it's the same way with the Godhead God is one he is one person okay but he has three parts and I'm gonna show it to you like a spirit a soul and a body because okay I mean just call me crazy but if the Bible tells me I'm made in his image and I'm made in his likeness then then we have to be alike at least in the sense of the basics of how we're made three in one all right this is the way I see it which is is beautiful okay you have the father again what Jesus always talked about doing the
will of the father well the Christian could or should always say that you know what the will the will or the the decision you know we're not going to let the flesh do what it wants to do but we're gonna bring that under control through knowledge and through faith and we're gonna bring that into control and we're not gonna let the flesh do what it wants to do so therefore the flesh or the physical part should be in submission to the soul and to the spirit but I look at it this way you have the soul which I will say is the the father part he determines he's the consciousness the intellect the will right the emotions you have the Holy Spirit well that's evident that is the Spirit of God he has a spirit and a soul but the physical manifestation when God took on a physical body I believe the word was the expression or the outward manifestation Jesus but when Jesus became God became flesh literally the Father the Holy Spirit they are one that's why in John 14 when Philip says you know okay Jesus you say you're going away we don't even understand that we don't know where you're going but show us the father and it will suffice us it will satisfy us and Jesus turns and says have I now been with you so long a time Philip and you have not known me and then he says to him if you've seen me you've seen the father now that is impossible if you say Jesus is just and if he's just a representative of God or he's just the literal right hand no if he if he was just a literal right hand you'd say Philip if you've seen me you've seen the right hand of the father it's not what he said if you've seen me you've seen the father Isaiah 9 6 says his name will be called wonderful counselor the mighty God the Everlasting Father the Prince of Peace if you've seen me you've seen the father Jesus is the fullness of the God hit bodily when we look at Jesus we are seeing the fullness of God in physical form we are seeing the father the Holy Spirit in human form fleshly form so to say that Jesus is anything else is a lie deception of the devil the devil knows this the devil knows who he is the devil knows Yahweh is Jesus and Jesus is Yahweh
the devil knows God is one but has three distinct parts he's not three gods different gods he has three distinct very distinct parts that can separate out from the one and do the different things that God wants done the fullness can everybody say amen to that I mean I guess I get really fired up when I hear anyone begin to diminish Jesus because that's really the spirit of Antichrist the spirit of Antichrist always want to take Jesus is here and always wants to take him down here if you do that if you say Jesus is anything but the fullness of the God had bodily that he's anything but the mighty God the Everlasting Father the Prince of Peace if you say no he's only part of God or he's a manifestation of God or a representative of God or he's just the Son of God he's not really God the Father that they're completely separate beings you are deceived you are deceived and you are diminishing the very character nature of God you are basically preaching another Jesus and another in there's only one there's only one true Jesus he is God in the flesh he is the wonderful counselor the mighty God the Everlasting Father the Prince of Peace the fullness of the Godhead bodily as he and he in that and this is the only way it makes sense when Jesus would say if you've seen me you've seen the Father that Father Holy Spirit and the manifestation in the flesh fully God standing there fully God not a part not a representative not an emanation not just a manifestation Jesus Christ of Nazareth is fully Yahweh in the flesh and that's why the name of Jesus is lifted up above every name think about that Torah folks you love using YHVH you love using the name Yahweh you love using these names the name of Jesus Christ the name of Jesus if you want to say Yeshua fine I don't care but that name is above every name it is above Yahweh it is above El Shaddai it is above Elohim it is above every name why why when God says that name is above every name when the scriptures say that Philippians to that the name of Jesus is above every name every name means every name why is
that because the father is just apart the son is just apart the Holy Spirit is apart but all the fullness when they are fully united manifesting what do you see you're looking you're looking at Jesus I know I and again I don't care you crazy people that want to believe all this nonsense you want to be deceived go right ahead I serve one God not three gods yet he has three distinct parts and he told me I was made in his image there's one Dean not three Dean's there's one Dean well who was Jesus praying to people always start leaning to their own their owners who was he talking to I tell them all the time you talk to yourself people talk to themselves all the time sometimes you're giving yourself a pep talk sometimes you're beating yourself up with condemnation sometimes you're thinking out loud you're talking about you're trying to figure things out and guess what the flesh communicates with you doesn't it the flesh will tell you I want to get drunk and then the you know that's the flesh wants to do things that it's not supposed to do and they'll tell you I want I want 12 beers right now and you go no you can't have it there's a war there's a conversation going on all the time and so that's why you the verse makes sense when you think of it that way let us make man in our image this conversation God was having with himself simple it's not complicated but again what do you have to do to establish doctrine you have to put the scriptures together and I want to tell you something let's my phone's going off the by you know we'll deal with that in a minute I hope I hope this clear you think it I mean I hope I've made this clear put up the modalism because let's deal with that because at times you know I've had some people say oh you're getting you're getting close to modalism or modalism I don't even know how exactly you pronounce it okay this one here this is from you know a website but it was a good a good definition and I want to read it so that people understand where I'm coming from here modalism is probably this is what they say the most common theological error concerning the nature of God it is a denial of the Trinity modalism states
that God is a single person who throughout biblical history has revealed himself in three modes or forms thus God is a single person who first manifested himself in the mode of the father in the Old Testament times at the incarnation the mode was the Sun and after that Jesus ascension the mode is the Holy Spirit these modes are consecutive and never simultaneous now see this is the key the key to what is modalism is it says that these manifestations are always one at a time that that God doesn't exist doesn't have three distinct parts that exist at the same time so you can see where there's a little different I have a little different view than than traditional Trinitarian that says three persons I think that is incorrect and I think it's wrong to say that because you give the impression to Jews and Muslims and all this that Christians are polytheists that we have three we have three persons that we look to as as gods but that's not the way it is at all we believe in one God with three distinct parts that exist together at the same time and can separate out and be distinctive but not but that would that would be again that would be like my spirit doing something my soul doing something my body doing something it's it's not manifestations it's three distinct parts together is one let's keep reading he said let me see where I left off here says these modes are consecutive and never simultaneous this is in in modalism or modalism however they say it in other words this view states that the father son and Holy Spirit never all exists at the same time only one after another modalism denies the distinctiveness of the three persons in the Trinity even though it retains the divinity of Christ so again I think you know how you said pastor Dean you may be splitting hairs a little bit but I think it's important to understand biblically the Lord is one one Lord one faith one baptism Ephesians says in Ephesians 4 one Lord one faith one baptism yet when he says one baptism there's multiple baptisms talked about the baptism and water the baptism and fire the baptism of the Holy Spirit and these are different so what is he saying there's one baptism three manifestations of that baptism it's interesting one Lord three distinctive parts of one Lord but he's one he's one and when you see Jesus you see the father you see the Holy Spirit fully in in him and that's why that's why Jesus made statements like that he you know in John the gospel of John that he had the Holy Spirit without measure
why because he's fully God fully God there was no no measuring out there was no just anointing he was not just part of God fully the father fully the son fully the Holy Spirit all at one time manifesting physically in this world born of a virgin lived a sinless life God manifested in the flesh now we won't put up the other one it says pretty much the same thing I was going to even go to another definition of about it but I hope everybody understands that I'm putting a little distinctive here tonight between persons the the phrase persons and the phrase parts I think that that's where I stand modalism I don't believe it's just God manifest one way at one time I think that is error I think that aspect of modalism that there's not three distinct parts in existence at the same time that that's not true but anyway Jesus is God in the flesh now let's let's let's jump over to this I want us to go to Matthew chapter 11 real quick we got about 10 minutes and man time I I guess I've forgotten it's flying man it's flying by tonight Matthew 11 because I want to I want to say this about this look folks the the power of God the power of the Holy Spirit in our lives so vitally important Mark 16 we're going to go to that in a second I'm tired of people using Matthew 7 as an excuse to be powerless you know there's going to be people yes who cast out demons and healed the sick and did many mighty miracles who are going to backslide fall away from God and live according to the lust of the flesh and they're going to hear the words depart from me you you lawless ones because you you went and lived according to what Galatians 5 said you shouldn't live in as a new testament Christian but at one point they had lived for Jesus and cast out demons and healed the sick yeah that's going to happen but you folks had always when somebody starts talking about you know what the church should should be full of power if you're going to do the works of Jesus you should be doing the works that he did of power and you you pull out Matthew 7 that's kind of your scapegoat to try to get out of are we powerless you know I love doing this to Jehovah witnesses because you know they've got their screwed up new world translation and they'll come to the door and I'll chat with them a little bit because they don't believe Jesus is God in the flesh and they don't believe in hell and and of course they don't they don't have the power of God the power of the Holy Spirit in the church because they're in the spirit of error they're they're deceived and of course they're trying to keep the Sabbath too they think that's important of meeting on Saturday and I mean it's just wild but they'll come to the door and I'll always talk to them
now I won't invite them in and I won't bid them godspeed because they're in false doctrine but I will talk to them and try to get them to leave their deception and their false religion and so I'll talk to them about the scriptures and I'll use their Bible and prove Jesus is God and hell but what I love to do and because they always have an experienced one and an inexperienced one you know they're trying to train one always and I love getting them to turn in their new world translation because they don't take out all the good stuff and I get them to turn to mark 16 15 through 20 why don't you put that one up if you would mark 16 15 through 20 and I'll say read this to me and I'll get them to open in their Bible and say read this to me right here and and every church should do this and this is what Jesus said and he said to them go you into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved but he that believeth not shall be damned now I wasn't believe here he that believeth shall be saved not he that keeps the law of Moses but he that believeth shall be saved he that believes not shall be damned eternal damnation going to hell and these signs shall follow them that believe in my name shall they cast out they shall cast out devils they shall speak with new tongues that's supernatural tongues they shall take up serpents those are demon spirits take authority take dominion and if they drink any deadly thing it should not hurt them it doesn't mean you tempt god go out and try to do it but if someone tries to poison you and that's going to come in handy in these days of gmo food and polluted water you better be praying over stuff but then he says they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover let's keep reading it says so then after the lord spoken had spoken unto them he was received up into heaven and sat on the right hand of god and the lord um and they went forth and preached everywhere the lord working with them confirming the word with signs following now this is new testament christianity this is the great commission i know that there are uh footnotes and some people's bibles and some say that that's that wasn't in the oldest manuscript yes it was just stop with that nonsense um this is clearly this this teaching in in uh mark 16 is clearly confirmed by what jesus said john 14 6 verily verily i send you the works i do you shall do also and even greater works in these jesus sent us to heal the sick cast out demons to work miracles saw down the line to do the works he did now matthew chapter 11 i had you you turn there because you know i have people all the time well this issue of holy ghost power is not important and i'm quickly running out of time but let me let me deal with this look at matthew 11 verse 1 it says and it came to pass
when jesus had made an end of commanding his 12 disciples he departed thence to teach and preach in their cities now when john this is john the baptist had heard in prison the works of christ he sent two of his disciples and he said in him art thou he that should come or do we look for another so the question john the baptist was having a moment of doubt he was having a moment of is this the guy is this really is jesus christ is of nazir is he really the messiah and so he sends people says are you the the one or should we look for another what does jesus say here he said did you see me keeping the sabbath did you see me doing this did you see me doing that no this is what he says and jesus answered and said unto them go and show john again those things which you do here and see the blind receive their sight and the lame walk and the lepers are cleansed the deaf here and the dead are raised and the poor have the gospel preached unto them and blessed is he whosoever should not be offended in me so immediately when j when john the baptist asked are you the one are you the messiah or do we look for another what does jesus appeal to he says do you see go tell him the blind receive their sight physically blind people receive their sight the lame walk the lepers are cleansed the deaf here the dead are raised and then we have you know second timothy chapter three that basically says we should walk away from powerless christianity if we go to a place and nothing ever happens no one ever gets healed no demons are ever cast out nothing nothing supernatural paul told timothy from such turn away let's look at it second timothy three this is what we're close with he says in the last days perilous times will come he gives you that whole thing i'm not going to go lovers of their own proud blasphemers he goes through all that and he gets to verse five and he says having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof from such turn away now the word form means you have an outward appearance that you are righteous and godly and holy you have an outward form but you deny that means to reject disavow to not put as important the power the word power in the greek is dunamis which means the supernatural miraculous power of the holy spirit so folks i would ask you something does your church have any power in it does your church your fellowship is your rabbi casting demons out getting anybody healed delivered from demons miracles the crippled walking the blind seeing the
deaf hearing don't don't diminish that if you diminish that you get a problem because no man jesus said no man couldn't do a miracle in his name that can likely speak evil on him so what i'm saying is is as a true minister that's preaching the gospel should never be against casting out demons and healing the sick cleansing the leopard raising the dead and i'm going to tell you those miracles and the gifts of the holy spirit and the power of the holy spirit work by faith not by the works of the law elation 3 so tonight i want to tell you i hope hopefully you'll understand that it's more important you know jesus put forth the the man with the withered hand on the sabbath day they were looking at him are you going to heal on the sabbath day they just couldn't wait and jesus said is it lawful to do good or to do evil in the sabbath day they wouldn't answer they were more concerned about keeping the sabbath or jesus keeping the sabbath as they thought he should instead of this man who needed a miracle who needed healing and it made jesus angry go read and mark the gospel of mark folks i'm gonna tell you you should be more concerned do you have the power of god working through your life the power of the holy spirit do you speak in tongues do you lay hands on the sick do you cast out demons have you been filled with the holy ghost are you operating the gifts of the spirit if not i don't want to hear it i don't want to hear you're arguing over the law show me some power show me some priorities you talk about we ought to walk as he walked walk in power of the holy ghost we're out of time folks maybe we'll talk more about this later you've been listening to the prophecy quake i'm your host pastor dino along with kevin wilkinson we love y'all hope you've been blessed good to be back see you sunday morning 11 a.m god bless
