You made provision to give [music] us authority and power over all the power of the enemy. I tell you what, I've sensed a little bit of a spiritual battle today, but there's always reasons for things. Um, you can turn me up just a hair if you want to. That air conditioner sounds loud in my ears from some reason this morning. No, we probably need it on um I want everybody just real quick before we get into some of the slides, PowerPoint slides, before I even start that, I want to um I want to read something. I think I quoted it last week, but I want to read it. But you know, this is a passage of scripture that we tend to read around Christmas time. But in Isaiah chapter 9, verse 6, we'll just put that up here on the screen if y'all will. Is that working? Okay, good deal. Now, [sighs] this is uh one of the mysteries of Christianity that's hard for a lot of people to wrap their brain around about who Jesus is. And you know, I talked about this last week some when I did the message preaching the gospel that we have to know what Jesus we're talking about because Paul warned in 2
Corinthians 11 that there would be those who would come who preach another Jesus. they would have another spirit. They would preach a different gospel. Um, and so we're going to further define this today as we look into uh this today. But I just again want to emphasize and I'm going to continue to emphasize this uh because we have people that watch. In fact uh we had Beijing watching. You know the internet's pretty tightly controlled in China but uh so that means some government officials in Beijing were watching the other day. Um but we have Russia, uh China, I mean countries all over the world watch and a lot of them have been taught wrong things about who Jesus is. They have their own ideas and a lot of pe a lot of people even in America uh have their own ideas who Jesus is. Like I said last week, the the Mormons think that he was just a man or uh you know that he was uh Lucifer's brother. So, kind of, you know, some of them believe he's uh Michael the Archangel, which makes no sense because Michael's Michael, but um I mean, there's all kinds of ideas who Jesus is. Like I shared last week, Islam, they call him Issa, but Islam does not believe he is the son of God or God in the flesh. They don't believe he died on the cross. So, the Jesus of Islam is a completely different Jesus than what the Bible teaches. And not just not just the New Testament, but the Old Testament because this prophecy was written by Isaiah and we know it was written in 750 BC. It wasn't written after the fact. It wasn't written after Jesus was born. [gasps] It was written 750 years approximately before Jesus. And it tells us something about him that we have to believe if we're true Christians. And he says this, "Unto us, for unto us a child is born. Unto us a son is given." So we're going to see what he's born and he is a son. And then it says, "The government shall be upon his shoulders." Meaning he's also what? The foundation of all authority. Somebody say foundation. That's gonna be important this morning. He's the foundation of everything. All power and authority. And then it tells you his name shall be called wonderful counselor the mighty God. Somebody say the mighty God. The L. So the son is also called God. Then the one that really blows people's mind. He will be called the mighty God, the everlasting father and the prince of peace. Now, this is hard sometimes for us to wrap around our brains around that the Father and the Son and the Holy Spirit are one.
One entity, one God with three very distinct parts, but one one and the same. And I've shared it this way just maybe to help somebody out there that hadn't heard this before, but remember First Thessalonians, you can put this verse up. 1 Thessalonians 5:23, Paul praying for the Thessalonians, he said, "I pray that your whole spirit, soul, and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ." Everybody got that? So, Genesis 1:26 says, "We were created in the image of God. Therefore, if me as a human being created in the image of God, if I have a spirit, a soul, and a body, three distinct parts, yet there's just one of me. If there's more deings running around, they've cloned me. And that's that's immoral, illegal, and right. But there's one me, but I have three distinct parts. God is the same and this is what we need to understand. He is a triune being father, son and holy spirit. But when Jesus said to Philillip, Philip asked the question, show us the father and it will satisfy us. And Jesus said these words, if you've seen me, you've seen the father. Now can you imagine? Now the Bible says that Jesus is the image or the physical representation of God. He is the image of God. Colossians says Colossians chapter 2 says Paul stated very plainly Jesus is the fullness of the Godhead bodily. Amen. This is a fundamental foundational doctrine of the Bible, of Christianity, of who Jesus is. And we've got to, even if our brain can't fully wrap around all that, this is what the Bible teaches. The Son is also the mighty God. Amen. And that's why he's the only one that could come and atone or pay the price, the sacrifice, become the atoning sacrifice for our sins. No other human being, no other person, no other entity, no other spirit could do that. Only God becoming a man could do that for us. Now this again foundational to Christianity, right? And let's uh let's look at this verse before we I give you the title and show you that. But go to Isaiah.
Well, I guess you're already in Isaiah, but go to chapter um 28. Isaiah 28. And we're going to go down to, let's see here. Again, this is a prophecy of Jesus that Jesus actually quoted about himself, but we're going to go down to verse uh 16. Are you there? So, here's a prophecy again in Isaiah. And we know again, how do we know that Isaiah was written 750 years before Jesus appeared on the scene? We know that because the copper scroll of Isaiah was found in the Dead Sea Scrolls in 1947 and um we found out of course we know that th those Dead Sea Scrolls date back to about 300 BC. Um of course we have the Septuagent version that was translated the Old Testament translated from Hebrew to Greek in around 250 to 248 BC. So, we've had the book of Isaiah. It's been known in history. Um, it's we've got archaeological proof. All of it was written beforehand. And that's why Isaiah is so powerful because it tells us the son is also God. It tells us in Isaiah 7:14, he would be born of the virgin, right? Tells us a lot of stuff. Tells us his ministry would began in Galilee. I mean, think about that. 750 years before Jesus. Now, why am I bringing this up? Because again there were no scriptures there were no ancient scriptures foretelling the rise of Muhammad or Buddha or Krishna. You understand the Bible is absolutely when it comes to religious books is absolutely unique in this regard and very specific prophecies. Even the book of Daniel narrows down the exact time period the Messiah would appear and says that he would be cut off or killed but not for himself. Isaiah 53, all right, says that he would what? Become the atonement for our souls. That he would be buried in a rich man's tomb. That by his stripes we would be healed. Meaning he would be beaten on on his back. Psalm 22, his hands and feet would be pierced. I mean, these are very specific things. Micah 5:2, he would be born in Bethlehem, the one that would be ruler whose origin, what it says, it doesn't say origin, right? If it says origin in your Bible, it's wrong. It says who goes back from to what? Everlasting. That he's eternal. Right now, I bring all this up because here's a prophecy in Isaiah as well that says
about Jesus, verse 16, "Therefore, thus sayeth the Lord God, behold, I lay in Zion for a foundation stone, a tried stone, a precious cornerstone, a sure foundation. He that believeth shall not make haste or be confounded or confused." So Jesus was also called even back in the Old Testament before he came and said, "I am the rock on which I'm going to build the church." He was called what? The cornerstone, the chief cornerstone, the precious cornerstone, the stone of stumbling, the rock of offense. Right now go to Psalm 18. Got to lay you the foundation before we get into it. Psalm 118. Oh, I said 118. I said 118. I'm sorry. 118. Psalm 118. And it says this again about Jesus. It says in verse 22, 118 verse 22, the stone which the builders refused or rejected is become the headstone of the corner. This is the Lord's doing and it is marvelous in our eyes. Then I want you to turn to Matthew chapter 21. say, "We shouldn't have to study the Bible in church, Pastor Dean. Well, then study it at home." Some of you don't do that. So, you got to study it in church with me. Right now, let's go down to this parable here. We're going to go to verse 33. He says, "Hear another parable. There was a certain house builder which planted a vineyard and hedged it round about and digged a wine press in it and built a tower and led it out to husbandmen and went into a far country. And when the time of the fruit drew near, he sent his servants to the husbandmen that he might receive the fruits of it. And the husbandman took his servants and beat one and killed another and stoned another. And again he sent other servants more than the first, and they did unto them likewise. But last of all he sent unto them his son, saying, They will reverence my son. But when the husbandman saw the son, they said among themselves, "This is the heir. Come, let us kill him, and let us seize on his inheritance." And they caught him, and cast him out of the vineyard, and slew him. And when the Lord therefore of the vineyard cometh, what will he do unto
those husbandmen? And they say unto him, he will miserably destroy those wicked men, and will let out his vineyard unto other husbandmen, which shall render him the fruit in their seasons. And Jesus saith him, did you never read in the scriptures, the stone which the builders rejected, the same has become the head of the corner? This is the Lord's doing, and it is marvelous in our eyes. He says, "Therefore, I say unto you," and he's speaking to the Pharisees here. He says, "I say unto you, the kingdom of God shall be taken from you and given to a nation bringing forth the fruits thereof. And whosoever shall fall on this stone shall be broken, but on whomsoever it shall fall, it will grind him to powder." And when the chief priests and the Pharisees heard his parables, they perceived that he spake of them. It's amazing they figured that out, isn't it? But when they sought to lay hands on him, uh they feared the multitude because they took him for a prophet. Um now what I've entitled today this is simply this is the rejected one and we're going to get to that what that picture is right there. Um, this is the the statue. Nebuchadnezzar had a dream and then he made a statue of this that he saw in his dream, which he wasn't really supposed to do. But he ordered everybody to worship it. But the in the dream, a stone that was not touched or cut out by man's hands comes down, a great stone like a mountain comes down from heaven and hits the feet of this thing and destroys it. Now I'm going to tell you what this this represents a little bit. You know the king the head there is uh he says Nebuchadnezzar you were the head thereof. That was Babylon. Now these are nations that have persecuted Israel and of course ends up persecuting the church as well. But you had Babylon then they were taken over by the shoulders and the chest area. That's the the head was gold. That was Babylon. Silver was Media Persia which two arms media and Persia they took over Babylon and the 120 provinces. Then the bronze chest area girdle area was Greece. They came in and conquered after uh the kingdom of Alexander the Great. Of course it broke up and then became the legs of iron represented the Roman Empire. And that's one of the reasons that the legs they the Roman Empire lasted longer and the Roman Empire was divided into east and west. The final kingdom that will be a problem are the feet. And the feet are different. They're iron mixed with clay and they have the 10 toes. The 10 toes represent the 10 kings that shall arise to rule the world with the antichrist. The iron mixed with clay shows that the Roman Empire will try to mix with I believe
the Arab nations because the clay represents each each metal represented a people or nation group. I believe that this represents the clay represents the Arab nations because it says that they were mixed or mingled together, the iron and [clears throat] the clay. And the word in Hebrew for mixed and mingled is Arab. So they were Arabed together. But it says that they won't adhere one to another. And as we're seeing in Europe right now that uh they Europe's allowed the mass migration of Muslims into Western Europe uh it's not working out too well. The Roman Empire, the Western civilization and Muslim civilizations not they don't go together. They don't work together. But it's interesting, the Bible foretold that this would be mingled together at the end. Okay? And then this stone comes out of heaven. [cough] Now Jesus says that he's the rock. Let's go to Matthew 16 real quick. I guess I'm just going to read most of my scriptures first before I share with you what I feel like I'm supposed to give you here. But this is the famous Matthew 16:13, the famous sermon that Jesus gave in discussion with his disciples. And he said, "When Jesus came to the coast of Cesaria Philippi, he asked his disciples, saying, who do men or whom do men say that I, the son of man, am?" And they said, "Some say that thou art John the Baptist, some Elijah, others Jeremiah, one of the prophets." He saith in him, "But whom say ye that I am?" And Simon Peter answered and said, "Thou art the Christ," which it's interesting, Christ, Messiah, anointed one. But that refers to, I believe, the deity side of Jesus. And then he says, "The son of the living God also God and the Son." And Jesus answered and said to him, "Blessed art thou, Simon Barjonah, for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee, that thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church, and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. and I will give unto thee the keys of the kingdom of heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Uh and then he charged his disciples that they should tell no man. That he was Jesus the Christ. Now of course at that time now Jesus is this stone. And let's go to one more passage. 1 Peter chapter 2. I'm going to read this. The Bible gives us these um these metaphors for a reason that we're to look into and we're to understand.
What did I just say? First Peter. Just go down to 1 Peter 2:7 and 8. Just put that up there. Now he's talking about Jesus and he says unto you therefore which believe he is precious. Now the word precious in the in the Greek is té. It means there is no price. It's priceless. It's beyond right to you who believe Jesus is precious, unique, priceless. It says, "And but unto them which are disobedient, the stone which the builders disallowed or rejected, the same as made the head of the corner." Verse eight, a stone of stumbling and a rock of offense, even to them which stumble at the word, being disobedient, where to appointed. Now Jesus talked about too when they the parable, well not the parable but the sermon on the mount where he talked about the man that obeys the word of God builds his house on the rock on a solid foundation. The man who is disobedient to the Lord to the word of God builds his house on sand. And when the storms come to both, the storm comes to both. The one built on the rock stands. The one built on the sand is going to be washed away with the storm. Now, I say all that because the Lord laid on my heart again to just remind you the world is fine with you talking about Jesus. Even though the name of Jesus irritates demons and irritates people full of demons, okay? But they will stomach you talking about Jesus a little bit. That's why nobody gets upset and you say Jesus loves you, they go, "Yeah, wonderful." Right? But when you start defining who he is, who he really is, what he has done on the cross for you and for me, his resurrection from the dead, and his demands that all men everywhere must repent and believe the gospel. That's when you become an offense. That's when they want to lay hands on you and not in a nice way, right? And I was looking at this and you got to understand that if if somebody now because Europe is so taken over by Islam, by Muslims, that if somebody goes out into the street full of Muslims and preaches that Jesus Christ is God in the flesh, died on the cross for your sins, rose from the dead on the third day, is the only
way to be forgiven of sin to be saved, they will kill that person because to them that is absolute blasphemy because they have lifted up Muhammad above Jesus. Now the Bible told us Jesus said this. He said before we get to the very end, he said in Matthew 24 when they ask him what will be the sign of your coming, the end of the age, he said there'll be going to be wars and rumors of wars, earthquakes in diverse places, great earthquakes, actually mega quakes. He talks about and then he says what? Take heed no man deceive you. Many false prophets will rise and deceive many. Right? And then they're going to take you and you're going to be hated of all nations for my name's sake. You're going to be hated of all nations and they're going to take some of you and they're going to kill you and they're going to put you in prison. They're going to beat you and all this stuff. What we're seeing right now politically speaking in the world is we're seeing the red horse, which is communism, socialism, and the green horse, which is Islam out of the four horsemen. We're seeing them unite together. Think about it. And I mean, there's many articles I could quote. There's many things going on. There's books being written about the Red Green Alliance. And I've showed you in the four horsemen is clearly the colors and the clues are very significant. We know the red horse of war is the movement of communism and socialism. We know the green horse who it says in the end would have authority or power over one quarter of the earth. That's exactly the number of Muslims in the world right now. One quarter of the earth. We know it says death is the rider on the green horse. Death and hell follows after him. What you know out of those four horsemen, you've got the white one, the black one, right? The red one, and the green one. What comes right after the green one? The fifth seal is martyrdom. Those that are going to be slain. And it's interesting that the the mass martyrdom of Christians that's going to happen in the last days is by beheading. Hm. What religion that hates Christians, wants to kill Christians, also beheads people? Muslims. Exactly. And what you don't understand right now is that these four horsemen of the apocalypse which are spirits ideologies behind them working that even though in areas where they absolutely oppose each other I mean
think about a left-wing blue greenhaired socialist in America who's homosexual um transgender and all this other stuff if they move to say, I don't know, Saudi Arabia, what do you think would happen to that person? Oh, yeah. They're thrown off a building. They're not going to be tolerated. Why? Because in Islam, homosexuality is a is a sin for which they will kill you, right? But right now you see in America that these socialist liberal people are joining with Islamist. Because see, they disarmed Europe. They disarmed Australia. They want to disarm America. So, we cannot resist. Now, let me just say this. As a Christian, I want peace with all men. I'm not going out to kill, hunt down Muslims, and kill anybody or try to force anybody to convert to Christianity. That's not what we do.
