  1. that's our prayer today lord we pray god that you would just fill us with your holy spirit lord we need to be filled lord as ephesians 5 says we need to continually be filled lord we need you today and we pray for that feeling and we pray for your anointing we pray god that you would just prepare us lord for everything you have us to do father in jesus name we pray amen amen you may be seated hallelujah hallelujah are you okay are you getting picking up something all right hallelujah amen good to worship the lord amen anybody else yeah it's amazing the atmosphere that can be in a in a building you know or a house and that right anna that's that's how we met anna hallelujah this morning we're going to continue on at something you know when i learn things it's hard for me to keep them to myself so i have to share because i just want y'all to know y'all y'all know this don't you that i believe every christian has to continue learning don't ever think you got it all amen start thinking you got it all you're in trouble because you're going to get in pride and then the bible says in obadiah the little book of obadiah one chapter obadiah three it just says it's the pride of thine heart deceive thee and he was talking to to the but it applies pride always deceives it always blinds you so humility when it comes to to the bible humility and teachableness now that's not saying be swayed with every wind of doctrine that comes around there are certain fundamental beliefs of christianity that you have to believe and that will never change but things like i preach on preaching on end times uh prophecy or you know preaching on many different things even dealing with sin dealing with the demonic realm dealing with all you know this thing we got to grow and learn we don't know everything there is to know about the spirit world and how it operates and nor do we know everything that we need to know or that's in this book about end times prophecy and i'll be the first to tell you that i don't know everything that's going to happen and i don't have it all i'm just trying to get a better in better grasp i keep studying i keep listening to different preachers and teachers and theologians and i'll listen to just about anybody especially on this subject of end times prophecy because i believe you can learn things from all kinds of people

  2. i met with a baptist pastor that came to our conference he came to our end times conference i think he just came to the saturday meetings but he wanted to meet with me this this week and and you know what i liked about him was he was like you know i want to learn i i you know and he's he's got this mentality i you know what if i'm wrong and he's open to listen to other people and i listen to him and he gave me some books and i gave him some stuff and we're looking i was reading through the book he gave me last night so um but even before i had that meeting and we left friends we discussed once saved always saved and of course disagreed on that we discussed the pre-trib rapture and we disagreed on that and we discussed a number of things but it was in a peaceful you know i want to hear what you have to say and you know it was it was that's the way the body of christ should be we shouldn't be so locked in on things that we can't listen to one another uh you know so so anyway but even before i had this meeting with the pat that pastor this has nothing to do with with him while i'm about to teach on what i'm about to teach on but um i just felt like that since i've learned a little bit more since about a year ago when i preached on this and since some of you were not here then then i might need to cover this again and clarify it a little bit more because i think god's revealed some things to me even this morning that i did not know about the subject so what we're going to cover this morning is the the issue of the rapture or the resurrection and this is you know this is a a foundational doctrine in the church we need to understand that the resurrection of the dead is a foundational doctrine of christianity if jesus and paul made it clear he said if jesus didn't rise from the dead then we are still in our sins that's how important the resurrection is and understanding that if we don't believe that jesus not only died for our sins but rose from the dead if we don't believe that then we're not born again christians we're not true christians we have left the fundamentals of the faith but the reason one of the reasons that jesus rose from the dead was to show us that one day everyone is going to be resurrected some to everlasting life in heaven and some to eternal punishment in hell so everyone's going to be resurrected everyone's going to get their body back everyone who's died been cremated everyone's going to get it back and i want to show you where this is one of the foundational doctrines of jesus the resurrection of the dead so i want you to go with me first to the book of hebrews hebrews chapter six hebrews chapter six i'm calling the message this morning the pre-tribulation rapture myth

  3. you know myths are fun to believe are fun to tell the story but that doesn't mean they're true right they're exciting they have their points but a myth is one thing and the truth is another where did i tell you to turn hebrews chapter 6. all right let's read this starting in verse one these he talks about these these are foundational if you wanna know the foundational doctrines of christianity here they are okay apart from the you know and again this doesn't address the part that we believe number one that the bible is the inspired word of god from genesis to revelation number two that jesus christ is god and the son of god and the only way to heaven all right so those are the givens right but then he talks about things that that we are to be established in as believers let's look at this [Music] well matter of fact let's back up into verse five and this is what he has to tell these hebrew christians he says this to these jewish christians verse 12 he's or verse 11. he says in verse 5 of whom we have many things to say and hard to be uttered seeing your dull of hearing for when the times come are for when the time you ought to be teachers you have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of god and become such as have need of milk and not of strong meat for everyone that uses milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness for he is obey but strong meat belongs to them that are of full age even to those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil so i'm not going to stay on that but then he goes on and see remember when this was originally written there weren't chapter breaks so he goes straight he's therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of christ and what he's saying is we need to get the basics down and move on right but most of christianity doesn't do that but he says leaving the principles of the doctrine of christ let us go on to perfection or to maturity not laying again the foundation and here he starts in the the foundational doctrines he says repentance from dead works say this with me repentance is foundational teaching foundational doctrine to christianity if there's no repentance there's no forgiveness all right and i've taught on that before but this is one of them right here then the next one he says and of faith toward god right how many of you know just changing your ways doesn't save you alone you have to repent and what believe trust rely on cling to that whole definition of having faith in god right so faith in god and our lord jesus christ that's how

  4. we say that's where you start right there right then he says this and i love this of the doctrine of baptism plural meaning it's not just water baptism there's another baptism the baptism of the holy spirit with the gift of speaking in other tongues there's the baptism of fire there's the baptism in water actually three baptism actually you could actually say there's a fourth one because paul talked about being baptized into the body of christ but he might mean that once you're baptized in water and baptized in the spirit and baptized in the fire you're baptized into the body so i think that probably includes that i kind of like it because you know the bible says there's one lord one faith and one baptism right but in the one lord three parts amen so i think the one baptism is also three parts this scripture here is plural baptisms so we should have the foundation you need to be baptized in water if you're a believer and you've been born again and you've never been baptized you need to be baptized in water that's to obey the lord and i believe that something spiritual takes place there as well it's not just a it's not just an ordinance of the church okay and then of course you know i believe you need to be baptized or filled with the holy spirit and and with the evidence of speaking in other tongues because we are pentecostal around here amen so these are things you should grow in then he goes on he said in the doctrine of baptisms and of laying on of hands the doctrine of laying on them hands is very important laying on hands for prayer to heal the sick laying on of hands actually to administer the baptism of the holy spirit laying on of hands to impart gifts there's many reasons for the doctrine of laying on of hands and it's taught throughout the bible i'm not going to get into all that but it is one of the foundational doctrines and then he says and of the resurrection of the dead and of eternal judgment so the resurrection of the dead needs to be taught in the church what is going to happen at the resurrection now you can write this down in your notes if you're writing notes this morning okay there are two resurrections and only two okay now if someone dies now and somebody like me or you or one of us has enough faith and we decide or feel led by god that we're to go pray for them and raise them from the dead that can happen and that does happen in the body of christ it's happened in many ministries that can happen but that doesn't mean that it's the two resurrections i'm talking about okay there could be many people raised from the dead david hogan's ministry down in mexico they've had hundreds of people raised from the debt smith wigglesworth the one of the great pentecostal ministers of healing had at least 20 something people raised from the dead documented in his ministry so the resurrection of the dead can happen as a miracle but the two

  5. resurrections i'm talking about there's only two the resurrection of christians and the resurrection of the wicked are those who have never been christians are not right with god there's only two okay and i'm going to show you that in the bible in a second i'll confirm that all right but just like when when uh jesus raised someone from the dead the little girl the young man at name and all that those are not those are individual things when jesus when jesus died actually the day he died he said many got up out of the graves that day but that wasn't the resurrection because you know what those people that got up out of the graves died again right because they had to live physically and they had to die again lazarus died again okay the first resurrection is to eternal life the second resurrection is to eternal damnation okay please get this in your head there are some preachers out there that teach it there are three four five six resurrections that's not what the bible says the bible says there is the first resurrection on which the second death has no power and then there's the first resurrection but why do we need to know about this because really what christianity is about is about eternal life it's about eternal life with god i mean if we don't believe in the resurrection of the dead if that's not our hope paul said we're of all men most miserable if in this life only we have hope you see we're all men most miserable the the you know that's what makes and that's why i love the fact that we have the bible and we know god and we know jesus and that jesus the the lord savior that not only did he die but he rose from the dead because i have hope i know that one day like him i will get up fully and be with him forever and that's the good news that's the hope of christianity do you know that like within islam let me just give you a little comparison within islam do you know that no muslim within the with the in the islamic faith no muslim has assurance of eternal life did you know that except of course those who die in jihad but some muslims even believe and most muslims believe that even muhammad himself it's not sure until judgment day until he stands before god whether he will go in or not so they even some believe it's not even guaranteed that muhammad is going into heaven okay so i look at that faith and it was like almost how can you live that misery but then of course they create these lies they create these things he

  6. that if you die in jihad you go there automatically so they've created a bunch of kamikazes um to push their agenda but still you think about it the resurrection did now now you know the buddhists the hindus and new agers they got another view the resurrection that it's just a constant circle of reincarnation and then if you die you come back as a beetle maybe a dog maybe a cow and that you work out your good and bad karma the good and bad things you've done through these multiple reincarnations which is why they won't eat cows in india okay but the bible is completely opposite of all this the bible is unique in the sense we're creating the image of god that we sinned and fell from that relationship with god that jesus christ god in the flesh came and died on that cross and rose from the dead as a man to show that if we would follow him and submit to him that we would one day be raised and live with him forever this is a foundational doctrine of christianity do you know that there are even people now who call themselves christians who don't believe this they don't believe in a rapture they don't believe in a resurrection they don't believe in the body actually coming back and a new body come they just don't believe the bible's what way it is but the resurrection of the dead is a doctrine of the bible or and and just say this the word rapture is not in the bible okay but it's just a term i don't even know who started it but it's just a term to describe the catching away or that resurrection and when jesus takes his saints that he resurrected to heaven bodily now everybody ought to know this and let me just go ahead there's some i read in this book that this pastor gave me and he said up front and he didn't believe some of this but this guy talks about he believes in soul sleep okay meaning that when someone dies they don't automatically go to heaven or hell but that's just not what the bible teaches the bible teaches that when a person dies paul said this he said to be absent from the body is to be present with the lord okay and what they get confused about is man is a spirit a soul and a body first thessalonians 5 23 god said i pray to god your whole spirit soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our lord jesus christ right man is one man each one of us are one human being but we have three parts spirit soul and body if you are born again and you are right with god when you die your body will go into the grave but your spirit and soul will automatically be with god in heaven the resurrection of the saints or the rapture the day of the rapture when the dead and christ rise and then

  7. we which are alive and remain are caught up at the the rapture or the first resurrection is when the saints bodies come up out of the grave or out of the sea or out of the dust or wherever they were they come up out and the body is changed into an in an incorruptible body an immortal body and it's reunited with the soul i mean some of us need to understand god made a spirit soul and body he has redeemed through the blood of jesus every part spirit soul and body and one day we will see the full completion of redemption the full completion the body will be resurrected now that there will be a resurrection also a thousand years later of the wicked now the wicked get their bodies back too they're called a vessel of wrath fitted for destruction they get a body that's going to be able to be in hell forever and constantly be burned away and regenerated and burned away and regenerated and worms eat and then re-eat and then re-eat eternal a worm that never dies and a flame that's never quenched i don't want any part of that amen so it's important that we be ready for the first resurrection now let me show you what i'm talking about let's go to revelation revelation chapter 20. is it okay to preach foundational doctrines of christianity okay just checking i know y'all are okay with it i'm just saying that i'm just being a smart aleck everybody there yet revelation 20. see this is the good news no matter what happens to you on this earth whether you live the second coming or you die no matter what happens there's hope and that's the good news see i can't imagine living this life thinking this is it i i can't you want i know there's no wonder why many people blow their heads off if you think this is it then after a while you get tired of it right all right revelation 20. let's look at verse oh we'll start at verse 1. and i saw an angel come down and of course this is at the end is when right after jesus returns at armageddon in the

  8. second coming of jesus and i saw an angel come down from heaven having the key of the bottomless pit and a great chain in his hand and he laid hold on the dragon that old serpent which is the devil and satan and bound him a thousand years and cast him into the bottomless pit and shut him up and set a seal upon him that he should deceive the nations no more till the thousand years should be fulfilled and after that he must be loosed a little season and i saw thrones and they that sat upon them and judgment was given unto them and i saw the souls of them that were beheaded for the witness of jesus for the word of god which they had not worshipped or which had not worshipped the beast neither his image neither had received his mark upon their foreheads or in their hands they lived and reigned with christ a thousand years but the rest of the dead lived not again until the thousand years were finished this is the first resurrection blessed and holy is he that have part in the first resurrection on such the second death has no power but they shall be priest of god and of christ and shall reign with him a thousand years so say this with me blessed and holy is he or she who takes place in the first resurrection say that with me the first resurrection is the rapture okay he says here the rest of the dead lived not again until a thousand years later so if if this is the first resurrection at the end again i love this at the end of the tribulation period the seven years you know what i'm saying we're going to touch on this a minute this is the first resurrection right he says here another hint on which the second death has no power now let's look at what he talks about what is the second death let's read verse 11 chapter 20 verse 11 through 15. and i saw a great white throne and him that sat on it this is a thousand years later okay he said i saw a great white throne in him that sat on it from whose face the the earth and heaven fled away and there was found no place for them and i saw the dead small and great stand before god and the books were opened and another book was open which is the book of life and the dead were judged out of those things which are written in the books according to their works and the sea gave up the dead which were in it and death and hell delivered up the dead which were in them and they were judged every man according to their works and death and hell were cast into the lake of fire this is the second death and whosoever was not found written in the book of life was cast into the lake of fire so here you see in revelation 20 the

  9. exact thing i'm teaching those last two foundational doctrines in hebrews 6 when he says the resurrection of the dead and eternal judgment you see it right there so two resurrections one at the end of the seven years and one at the end of the thousand-year millennial reign please everybody just nod do you see that is that in your bible okay now did you notice that in that first resurrection there he included people who had what not received the mark who had not worshipped the image of the beast who had been killed for their testimony during that time period [Music] so what are we talking about here no resurrection before the beast appears no resurrection before the mark is instituted no resurrection before the seven year tribulation this is one of the scriptures that i had overlooked in all these years and i was listening to irvin baxter one day and of course i already believe that the rapture was not at the beginning of the tribulation but i was listening to him one day and he pointed this out and i was like oh my god if this is not crystal clear i don't know what is because he said if this is the first resurrection at the end of the tribulation right at the second coming of jesus christ if this is the first resurrection what had i been preaching what resurrection that i've been preaching that happened seven years before if it wasn't first this would have to say second and then the one of the dead would have to be third no there's only two only two and i'm going to show you how this works itself out through the rest of the scriptures all right everybody there if you're a little confused just just stick your hand up is this confusing or everybody see that clearly okay i want you to see that that's just an introduction and you know the reason here's one of the reasons too we need to know this how many people how many of you at some point has a people have asked you well what happens after we die what happens if we die before jesus comes or what happens what what you know you need to know you need to be able to explain to people this is part of the gospel this is part of christianity the resurrection of the dead eternal judgment what happens to people okay

  10. now let's look at this let's let's back up for a minute we see this tell us that the first resurrection will happen after the antichrist issues the mark of the beast and people are killed for that so we know that that's in the last half of the seven years that's in the last at least at minimum in the last half and if the antichrist doesn't issue the mark until the midpoint so it means it's some time into that way into that possibly right now i believe now that it's got to be at the very end right before the armageddon i believe the rapture takes place and then armageddon i'll show you but let's go to matthew 24 because this is where my journey started on this in 1989 i believed in a pre-trib rapture in 1989 because that's all i heard taught and again i do believe in the rapture you know first thessalonians chapter 4 and first corinthians some people don't believe some christians don't believe in a rapture anymore they think it's a myth no the rapture issue is not a myth the catching away the resurrection of the christians is not a myth when it happens the pre-trib right i believe is a myth but it's not a myth it's a true christian doctrine matthew chapter 24 now you see what i just showed you in revelation if this this is true that the rapture of the first resurrection takes place after the antichrist issues the mark of the beast and a great persecution and and pushes this thing toward the end then we should be able to find it in other scriptures shouldn't we it should fit there should be a pattern there should be confirmation corroboration whatever words you want to use there right so let's go through matthew 24 some of you already know this let's start reading verse 1 and jesus went out and departed from the temple and the disciples came unto a show to show him the buildings of the temple and jesus said and they see you not all these things verily i say unto you there shall not be left here one stone upon another that shall not be thrown down and as he said upon the mount of olives the disciples came unto him privately saying tell us when shall these things be what shall be the sign of thy coming and of the end of the world and jesus answered and said unto them take heed that no man deceive you for many shall come in my name you will hear of wars and rumors of wars nation will rise against nation but look what he said in verse 8 all these are the beginning of sorrows so jesus is letting us know that this little dissertation he's given them on the mount of olives and for you know fancy people out there with ministry degrees it's called the olivet discourse okay but it's you know he was at the mount of olives many times so whatever but anyway so he's telling them it's a chronological order notice he uses the word in verse nine after he says these are the beginning of psalms he says then

  11. shall you be afflicted and they shall deliver you up to kill you then what's the word then mean i looked it up one time it means after this after this so if i'm saying i'm giving you an order of things right so everybody look at me and say this matthew 24 is a chronological summary of the end from jesus amen all right let's read on so we we read on he talks about verse 11 many false prophets rising and deceiving many verse 13 but he that shall endure unto the end this is interest to the end this all you ought to underline these verses shall be saved this gospel the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations you know some people think that this right here is why jesus isn't coming back soon because this we're not even close to this happening but guess what in revelation chapter 14 where we have fallen short and preaching the gospel the bible says there's going to be an angel fly across the world and preach the gospel all right so it will be preached to all the world even though the church has failed to do it all right that's just a little free side note but look at verse 15. we're going through a chronological order right verse 15 jesus says this and when you therefore shall see the abomination of desolation spoken of by daniel the prophet stand in the holy place when you see the abomination of desolation we know that's from daniel 9 daniel 11 that's the antichrist that's when he steps into the temple declares himself to be god and begins to institute the mark of the beast and begins to institute the great persecution of christians and jews that lets us know boom there's the midpoint of the tribulation in verse 15 about halfway through this chapter okay have we read about a rapture yet nope [Music] now remember the rapture or the first resurrection is a is one of the most significant events of history it's one of the most significant events i mean this is jesus getting his bride do you think he's going to overlook it no if it was at the beginning i believe jesus would have said hey i'm going to get my bride and then all this stuff's going to happen nowhere does the bible say that [Music] you have to wrench it out and twist it and take things out of their context and ignore the stuff i'm telling you to make that happen okay let's go on

  12. so we see the abomination of desolation he says let them that are in judea flee into the mountains right so it's going to be bad there now i'm going to jump down look at verse 22. he said except those days should be shortened well verse 21 we need to read that one for then what does then mean after this after the antichrist steps into the temple declares himself to be god issues after this will be great tribulation such as never has such as was never since there were the beginning of the world to this time no ever shall be bad bad stuff kicks in then all right [Music] and except those days should be shortened there should no flesh be saved but for the elect's sake those days shall be shortened then if any man shall say to you oh here is christ or there believe it not why do you think there he says if any man says here is christ because the antichrist is going to say i am god i am the messiah i am the savior you have to worship me you have to show allegiance to me so there he tells us after this after the abomination of desolation do not believe anybody that says lo christ is here or there right are y'all with me all right i'm just breaking this down slow remember this is not just yeah go ahead um i've always wondered about this game for in 21 and 22 unless the days were shortened no flesh would be saved but for the elect sake the reason he says that is because at the end and we you can read this in revelation 16 at the very end right before jesus jesus i believe that that jesus takes the church out at armageddon he destroys the armies of the world but a very overlooked verse is there when jesus finishes that battle and sets his feet down on the mount of olives it says there is going to be an earthquake such as the world has never known and all the cities of the nations are going to fall at that time and every mountain and every hill will be moved out of its place and every island will be moved at that point is the final most horrible judgment basically he said if i didn't take my people out of here and if i didn't stop this see if jesus didn't come back at the battle of armageddon mankind would destroy itself there would be no one left so he's basically saying i'm coming back and i'm going to stop this and i'm going to take my people and then i'm going to bring the rest of this world to its knees i'm going to stop this madness what this is you know some people wonder

  13. why why is god letting this happen god's letting this happen because this is what the majority of people in the world want they want their own way man wants his own world government he wants to create his own utopia his own peace his own and do it all without god it's the tower of babel all over again and god's gonna say okay go ahead see how it works out for you and basically he's saying here if i don't step in and stop this nonsense no one will be left that's how y'all end up and you're doing the things your own way you kill everybody i mean and that's where we would be headed and and people are going to think that here pretty soon anyway when we have our first nuclear war since world war ii let's go on matthew 24 so we going down he's saying all this verse 24 there shall arise false christ and false prophets they'll show great signs and wonders that if it were possible they shall deceive even the very left he said behold i have told you before right and he warns him he says but as lightning verse 27 as lightning comes out of these and shines even in the west so shall the coming of the son of man be so he's saying don't let anybody deceive you that christ no it's going to be known worldwide it's going to be evident when it's jesus all right now have we seen any rapture yet right y'all know this now let's look at verse 29. here's what changed my mind when god had me read this five times one day i got to this verse immediately after the tribulation of those days not just any tribulation time the tribulation of those days immediately after everybody say this with me immediately after immediately after not before so immediately after the tribulation of those days look what it says the sun will be darkened the moon shall not give its light the stars shall fall from heaven the powers of heaven shall be shaken and then after this now we just saw after the tribulation then he said after this then shall appear the sign of the son of man in heaven then shall all the tribes of the earth mourn and they shall see the son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory look at this everyone sees see this is the this is the biggest shock to most of the christian world there is no surprise rapture [Music] everyone sees him coming this is why it's at the end folks

  14. everyone sees him coming the tribes of the earth mourn they shall see the son of man coming in the in the clouds of heaven with power great glory look at verse 31 and he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds from one end of heaven to the other there is your rapture the angel descending the sound of a trumpet gathering his elect from the four winds it says it is plain as day in your bible immediately after the tribulation of those days right now let's do this is it in another place huh yeah it is there but we're going to go to another one i want to show you where the bible confirms this again go to ii thessalonians first second thessalonians now y'all heard that some of this y'all have heard some of it is going to be new to you though here in a second we'll try to get through this second thessalonians chapter two y'all there yet all right second thessalonians 2. here's a verse a passage that should have should alert everyone that this was never going to be a surprise rapture a surprise catching away a surprise resurrection we were going to be caught off guard you know it makes for good preaching jesus could come at any moment so you better get saved right now that's not why you should get saved you should get saved because you're a sinner and you need your sins forgiven amen if you're not convicted of your sin and you understand you need to repent of your sin then you're not really saved if you're just like i don't want to miss the train and i believe that's why a lot of people are false converts it's like well i want to go if it comes tonight i want to go that's not why you get saved that's why a lot of people fall away the issue is about sin to be saved you know if we if we if we all left the church today and got hit by a bus we'd all be pre-trip right okay so the issue is have we dealt with our sin have we repented have we been born again that's that's most important but god put all this in here for those who would be living in this time right so we would know so we would prepare so we wouldn't be deceived by faults christ and false miracles and signs that

  15. are coming okay second thessalonians this one should have sealed it for everybody here verse 1 now we beseech you brethren y'all underline this now y'all heard me i mentioned this at the conference now we beseech you brethren by the coming of our lord jesus christ do you see that coming of our lord jesus christ and our gathering together unto him can can i say this before i go on who inspired paul to write this if we believe that this is holy scripture and we do therefore the holy spirit was moving through paul and leading paul exactly what to write do you find it interesting that he put the coming of the lord first and then our gathering together to him [Music] he didn't say our gathering together to him and then later a coming he said the coming of the lord and our gathering because when he comes is when we're gathered okay and he's making that point very clear so he's connecting the two the coming of the lord and our gathering together to him and then he says this and this is what's interesting he says he said that you be not seen shaken in mind or troubled neither by spirit nor by word nor by letters from us as that day is at hand look at this how many preachers paul's saying don't think that day's near how many preachers would have should have been preaching that all the way through the 1800s all the way through the early 1900s it's not near yet there's some things that have to happen first but you still need to repent and get right with god because you could die tomorrow that's the issue but if they'd have been telling people there wouldn't be so much confusion if they'd just followed paul and he says don't let anybody shake you up about the day of christ is near i'm going to tell you when you'll know it's near and he says that day let no man deceive you about what that the day of christ is near don't let him deceive you that is near when it's not near let no man deceive you by any means for that day shall not come except there come a falling away first and the man of sin the son of perdition be revealed there it's not happening the coming of the lord our gathering together to him the rapture is not going to happen until the man of sin

  16. is here the antichrist is revealed and then he tells us how we'll know for sure you know could i be wrong about the guy who thinks the antichrist yes i could be wrong but one thinks for sure one day soon we will know for sure who it is because it says right here what he will do look at verse 7 well verse 8 he says and then shall that wicked be revealed so he's saying there's coming a day when he will true there will be no doubt this is the guy he said then that wicked shall be revealed whom the lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming even him whose coming is after the working of satan and let's back up he says look at verse the son of perdition look at verse four who opposes and exalt himself above all that is called god with his worship so that he as god sits in the temple of god showing himself that he is god so we know paul made it very clear i i sometimes i just i want to shake people he said it won't happen until this happens which is exactly and again do you see this here ii thessalonians saying the same thing matthew 24 said didn't it the antichrist when you see the abomination of desolation when he begins the persecution then we see the rapture after that here it says it again he will reveal himself when he sits in the temple declares himself to be god when he starts doing satanic signs and wonders saying worship me we all know that's 42 months to connect it won't happen until after this so we know those things now i'm going to give you a couple that i hadn't talked about i've given you two actually i've given you three first and second resurrection matthew 24 2 thessalonians 2 let's look at the last trumpet issue all right everybody turn with me to first corinthians chapter 15. first corinthians 15. this whole chapter is about the doctrine of the resurrection of the dead i'm not going to read the whole chapter i'm going to boogie on through this but y'all need to listen close to this all right this is another place where paul taught the rapture he taught it in first thessalonians four first thessalonians 4 13 through 18. y'all can just write that down that's when he said for the lord himself will descend from heaven with a shout with the voice of the archangel with the trump of god and the dead in christ shall rise first then we which are alive and remain will be caught up to meet him

  17. in the air and we will always be with the lord all right that's the first place he taught it okay y'all stay with me all right he taught it here again in first corinthians now thessalonians was written before corinthians so paul gives a little more revelation here all right go down to verse 50. now this i say brethren that flesh and blood cannot inherit the kingdom of god neither does corruption inherit incorruption behold i show you a mystery we should not all sleep or die but we shall be changed in the moment in the twinkling of an eye at the last trump some of your virgins may even say last trumpet it's the same thing we shall not all sleep we shall all be changed in the twinkling of an eye at the last trump for the trumpet shall sound and the dead shall be raised incorruptable and we shall be changed for this corruptable must put on incorruption and this mortal must put on immortality everybody there underline the words last trumpet this has always puzzled me okay now those of you who have heard me teach about the seven trumpets there's only in reference to the second coming of jesus in reference to the end times end time prophecy end time stuff this is the only series of trumpets mentioned is in revelation 8 9-10 the seven trumpets okay so paul's saying here it's the last trumpet when we will be changed and raptured out of here the resurrected and changed and we which are alive will be changed if he says last trumpet that means there were some trumpets before the last one but that this is the final one right guess what i looked up the word last in the greek dictionary just to check it out all right and here's what it says the word last is eschatos which is where we get the word eschatology from or the study of end time things or end time events right eschatos and here's the definition farthest final of place or time ends of last uttermost no more no more trump is to be blown

  18. that has anything to do with god or jesus coming at the last trumpet we shall be changed and this dead corruptible body will put on incorruption so see every position out there pre-trib mid-trib pre-wrath even every view of when the rapture takes place within the seven year period or the judgments of god all of them except for post-trib or what i like to call it is last trumpet all of them put the rapture happening and then the seven trumpets blowing later now last means last not first of seven or first of eight you get what i'm saying last means last there's no more means the end at the end now those of you that know about the seventh trumpet if you go read it what does it say the mystery of god is finished let's let's look at that real quick the last trumpet i want to get through this but we i need you to see that revelation chapter 10. [Music] verse seven everybody with me remember i've taught y'all the seals are the long story ending and armageddon in the second coming the trumpets are the shorter story but still ending at armageddon and the vials are the very short story in the last three and a half years but still all in they all end at the same place all right here's what's beautiful about it look at this it couldn't be more clear it says here verse 7 but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel when he shall begin to sound his trumpet this is the seventh trumpet the mystery of god is finished here's what paul called do you know that paul what we just read in first corinthians what did he say behold i show you a mystery we shall not all sleep but we shall all be changed in the moment in the twinkling of another at the last trumpet the mystery is finished here at the it's finished he says but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel when he shall begin to sound the mystery of god should be finished as he has declared to his servants the

  19. prophets it's done you see the mystery of god's finish means everything he declared to the prophets is over with finished what's that mean nick the mystery of god is finished there's nothing more to be fulfilled you see what i'm saying it's the end the seventh trumpeter at the end and the seventh trumpet is the last trumpet and the seventh trumpet is when we are changed or resurrected in that first resurrection did you get it are y'all seeing it are you seeing it clearer now now i'm gonna give you one more no two more i'm sorry go with me to matthew chapter 13. only one more you have to turn to matthew chapter 13. i love this i just looked this word up this morning it just blew my mind matthew chapter 13. all right this is a parable of jesus but what's what's beautiful about this is that we don't get to interpret it because jesus told it then he interpreted so we don't have to have any interpretation on it okay it's not of any private interpretation this is not pastor dean's interpretation we're going to look at what jesus said the parable he gave and his interpretation of it it's pretty how many of you think it's pretty good if we get his interpretation all right i like it when we get his interpretation right just removes all questions so matthew chapter 13 all right verse 24. we're going to start there and another parable put he forth unto them saying the kingdom of heaven is likened unto a man that sowed good seed in his field and while men slept his enemy came and sowed tares among the wheat and went his way but when the blade was sprung up and brought forth fruit then appeared the tares also so the servants of the householder came and said to him sir did you not sow good seed in your field from whence then has it tares he said unto them an enemy has done this the servant said in him we'll tell them that we go and gather them up and he said nay lest while we gather up the tares you root up some of the wheat also with them let them both grow together now listen closely let them both grow together until harvest and in the time of the harvest i will say to the reapers gather ye together the first the tares and see listen to the terminology here gather first the tares just underline that all gather first the tares

  20. and bind them in bundles and to burn them but gather the wheat into my barn all right so he tells this parable then he talks a little bit and then he they ask him go to verse 36 then jesus sent the multitude away and went into the house and his disciples came in and saying declare unto us the parable of the tares of the field so jesus tells this think about this he tells this to a mass group of people gives them no explanation so they go in the house later and the disciples say you got to explain this to us so we can get that right they had an inside track all right look what he says pay close attention he answered and said and then verse 37 he answered and said them he that soweth the good seed is the son of man the field is the world the good seed are the children of the kingdom but the tares are the children of the wicked one the enemy that sowed them is the devil the harvest is the end of the world please look at that the harvest when what when the angels come in and gather the tares to be burned and then gather the wheat into the barn the end of the world the harvest is the end of the world right he says the reapers are the angels look what he says verse 40. as therefore the tares are gathered and burned in the fire so shall it be at the end of this world then the son of man will send forth his angels and they shall gather out of his kingdom all things that offend and then which do iniquity and they shall be cast into a furnace of fire and there shall be wailing and gnashing of teeth then after this shall the righteous shine forth in the as the sun in the kingdom of their father who has ears to hear let him hear folks jesus plainly said that the earth the children of the devil and the wheat will grow together until the harvest but at the harvest first the tares the children of the wicked will be gathered together what does god say gather the nations to jerusalem to battle i'm gathering them there so i can destroy them this is not the great white throne judgment he's talking about for the wicked gathering them together first is the great tribulation it's world war three it's armageddon it's the final gathering together of the wicked to destroy them all that took the mark of the beast he gathers them together he says then gather my wheat and notice he says deal with the tares first not get the christians out first

  21. deal with the tares first but here's the clincher the harvest this event of separating the tares in the wheat and taking the wheat into the the children into his barn into his kingdom this happens at the end of the world i looked up the word end this morning just this morning you want the definition in the greek it's the word son or soon i guess it's soon soon talia or something like that sunderland something like that s u n t e l e i a here's what it means entire completion it's a different word from last that we were it's a different the last trumpet was eschatos it still meant last but this is a different word sun taliyah whatever however you say it entire completion not the harvest seven years before the completion if we were harvested out of here if we were raptured out of here seven years before is that the end the entire completion of the world system and the is that the end no and then the final one i'm just going to give you this one this one's for free here i've already shared this before know the story well here's the story there's only one other time in the bible that god brought a series of plagues on a world system to judge it egypt was the most sophisticated nation of the time they were the most prosperous nation the most powerful nation and the children of israel had moved into egypt under joseph and then they were they were turned upon many years later and made to be slaves and god said i'm going to judge that nation that's mistreating my people but when god sent moses to bring them out what happened when he first told pharaoh let my people go he made it worse pharaoh made it worse he hardened his heart and he made it worse on the children he began to persecute them even worse did god take them out so moses goes back to god and he says god he's not letting him go the lord

  22. said i'm going to start bringing some pain to him so then we have the lice the frogs the judgments the plagues begin to strike but guess what when the plague of darkness came where the children of israel lived in goshen they had light my point is did god's people leave egypt before the wrath of god and all the plagues report out in egypt or afterwards exactly did god know how to protect and provide for his people in the midst of his judgment amen why would he do things any differently i can't tell you how many times god in the bible brags about what he did in egypt and he can brag by the way because he's a he's the almighty all right i can't tell you he says i brought you out of each how many times you hear that phrase as you i brought you out of egypt i showed my signs and wonders i showed the world my judgment i brought you out of egypt this is how you treat me i mean it's over and over and over again right what god did in egypt is nothing compared to what he's about to do to this whole world and then to bring his jewish remnant that come to know jesus as their messiah and to bring his people out and again why would he take us out the people that he has taught and prepared to be a light to everyone else during that season it doesn't make sense train an army and then take them away at the time they're needed most it's foolishness but god said he hadn't appointed us to wrath they quote that little verse out of first thessalonians he hadn't appointed us throughout who said god's gonna pour his wrath on you if he's poured it on your neighbor it doesn't mean it's on you now remember the children of israel felt the effects of the frogs and the lies but the lives weren't in their homes but they you know they had to deal with it in their society but they weren't affected by it god is able to protect and to provide but we forget one thing their first problem was with pharaoh god didn't stop that [Music] not immediately right and our first problem during the tribulation is not god's wrath it's the satan's wrath through the antichrist persecution and god never promised to take us out of all persecution and trouble that is an american mindset that is not bible

  23. [Music] persecution he will allow sometimes but his wrath if you're walking with him and you're right with him his wrath is not going to fall on you [Music] that's that scripture psalm 91 a thousand can fall at my side ten thousand in my right hand it will not come nigh me it can be happening all around you and the in the children of israel it was happening all around them and you know what i think god wanted them to see it all and i think god wants us to see it all it's like i want you to see my judgments my miracles my great power how i'm going to deal with the wicked and deal with this world i want you to see it and i want you to stand and be the best example of light and truth and love and and and preaching the gospel that you can possibly be see i'm not it's not a defeatist mentality i'm gonna let my light shine amen when it's the darkest you are gonna let your light shine when it's the darkest god needs us some people say well you know he'll take us out he'll use that hundred forty four thousand four hundred forty four thousand somehow he's gotta get them in a time when they can't travel or do anything else or to take the mark he's somehow gotta get them to evangelize the whole that's just theories it's just theories but i've shown you matthew 24 the trumpet and the gathering of elect happens after the tribulation of those days second thessalonians don't think it will happen until the man of sin is revealed revelation 20 the first resurrection included those resisting the mark of the beast amen matthew 13 the harvest as at the end the entire completion the seventh trumpet the mystery of god's finished [Music] last trump means last trump not first of eight not first of seven right and see for a preacher to preach that to you that there's some there's some other trumpet god's gonna blow that's the last trumpet and then blow seven more see what he's gotta do he's got to do a little dance doesn't he's got to create stuff fabricate things out of thin air to make that happen

  24. let's just take the word for what it says amen see somebody the other day and it was a pastor in town on facebook said oh it doesn't really matter you know jesus told his disciples you know in acts chapter one it's not given to you know the times and the seasons and i just couldn't bear it i had to say it i said something we need to understand when jesus said that they were concerning themselves with aren't you setting up the kingdom now because they wanted to be delivered from this roman oppression they wanted the glory of israel back and in their minds jesus was going to do it then and he was like no no that's not for you to know right now why for them the the restoration of the kingdom his second coming the glory of israel jesus knew that's 2 000 years away it's not for you guys to know and if he didn't want anybody to know then he should have left all this stuff out of the bible but what is all this stuff put in there for for us all of it was put there for this generation for us why shouldn't it be there would be a generation that would finally be the last generation that would see these things and god wanted us to know everything we would see and every type of deception that would come and to not be fooled by any of it god wanted us to be prepared because he knew one day there would be a last generation for them that wasn't the issue then the issue was to build the church establish the gospel establish the bible the new testament is that's what he wanted them to do our job is to prepare for the second coming of jesus amen and to get everybody we can ready for that day and judgment day because it's fastly fastly approaching amen all right let's pray thank you lord father in heaven we thank you that there's going to be a day of resurrection when our bodies will be reunited our bodies will be reunited with our soul and our spirit or we will go spirit soul and body into heaven i thank you god that you promised that when you came that your people would be changed that lord your word says that when we see you we will be like you so lord we will get that body that's incorruptible indestructible eternal that will be able to travel between heaven and earth i'll be able to to eat and then walk through walls we'll lord it'll be glorious to have a body like you have a

  25. resurrected body lord i pray in jesus name that you will help us give light and truth about the resurrection about the second coming about being ready about what it means to be saved and to really be saved and ready for that day and to show people lord who think they're not going to see anything bad in this world because they think they're getting out of here before anything bad happens lord i know that that whole belief system is about to be shattered and they're going to go you know i know some people that said we weren't getting out of here maybe we ought to go talk to them while i pray in jesus name give us grace and wisdom and love for everyone around us as in jesus name we pray amen
