About this sermon

In “Passports,” Pastor Dean Odle sets aside a planned teaching for a ministry-centered service focused on encountering Jesus Christ, repentance, prayer, healing, and the gifts of the Holy Spirit. After extended worship, he recounts his childhood encounter with Christ and the conversion of an Australian atheist at the Garden Tomb, arguing that biblical truth and the manifest presence of God belong together. Using Thomas’s doubt and Elisha’s prayer for his servant in 2 Kings 6, Odle urges young people and other hearers to take a deliberate step toward Christ so their spiritual eyes may be opened.

01
Through 03:40

Odle explains that the planned message has been postponed because he believes the Lord redirected the gathering into a ministry service. He prays for repentance, refreshing, healing, and the Spirit’s work among visitors and the congregation.

02
Through 40:10

The congregation spends an extended period in worship, confessing that God reigns and asking the Holy Spirit to make their lives His dwelling place. The songs and prayers establish the service’s central desire: not merely information about God, but communion with Him.

03
Through 54:20

Odle testifies that he encountered Jesus as a child and could never be argued out of Christ’s reality, death, resurrection, heaven, and hell. He urges ministers to make room for God’s presence and calls hearers to surrender their sins and personal plans to Jesus.

04
Through 1:05:10

Odle tells how an Australian atheist named David Hook experienced peace at the Garden Tomb and then prayed to receive Christ. He connects the story with Elisha’s servant: believers may need God to open their spiritual eyes to what is already true.

05
Through 1:21:10

Young people are invited forward for prayer. Odle warns that rebellion and stubbornness carry consequences, recounts his own descent into sin after resisting conviction, and urges the next generation to choose Christ while God is drawing them.

06
Through 1:40:00

The ministry team prays over families and individuals for healing, unity, courage, dreams, visions, prophecy, and faithful service. Personal prophetic statements are preserved as statements made in the service, not presented here as independently verified predictions.

07
Through 1:50:10

Odle applies Isaiah 43 and James 4 to people facing dry seasons, past wounds, distraction, fear, or oppression. His counsel is to seek Jesus actively, submit to God, resist the devil, reject destructive thoughts, and move beyond an old identity into obedience.

08
Through 1:56:40

The team prays for physical healing and for a couple’s pastoral and teaching call. Odle emphasizes agreement in prayer, Christ’s continuing power to heal, faithful obedience in small steps, and the need for fresh anointing.

09
Through 2:00:00

A second minister explains the title image: apostolic ministry, he says, helps set the church in order and gives believers a “passport” or release into their ministries. He argues that end-time revival will spread through a remnant and many small fires rather than dependence on large institutions.

10
Through 2:23:23

The service closes with prayer for healing, grief, restoration, and direction. Odle urges believers to study teaching on spiritual gifts, ask God for them, recognize the Spirit’s sometimes subtle prompting, step out in faith, and guard what they received from doubt and spiritual opposition.

process. I told him the way to cheat you and make fake calluses is put super glue on the end of your fingers uh for a service and it really works. That'll stay on there for a while. Little old guitar player trick. Yeah. But anyway, let's pray. Let's stand first. I will stand. Um we're I'm I'm not doing part three this week. I'm going to change that to next week, God willing. But as I was praying last night and this morning, the Lord just completely changed what he wanted me to do today. So, we're going to do something completely different now. Uh after praise and worship, I'm going to speak to you just for a brief minute on what we're about to do and then we're going to do it. Um and because again, we don't have much room in this church. So, we'll do the best we can. But I believe the Lord wants to touch some people in here today in a special way. uh especially some of you that are visiting and visiting from afar. I just believe the Lord's not done what he started doing yesterday. And so this is going to be more of a ministry service than anything else. Also, um Jordan, if y'all would please get the uh the building plans ready to put up on the screen because I want to show everybody where we are on that. Give kind of an update. Um, is there anything else I'm missing? Love. All right, let's pray. Father in heaven, we thank you again for all that you have done, for all that you have done in our lives, what you have done this weekend. And Lord, what you're about to do. Lord, I know that you are you are so ready to reveal yourself, to touch people, to speak to people, to convict us, to change, to repent, to follow you, uh to show us that you love us and you have a much better plan than we have for ourselves. Lord, I ask you to just come into this place today, Lord, as we choose to take this time to worship you, to worship you in spirit and in truth. Lord, we ask you to manifest yourself, your presence, your power, your gifts, your healing power. Lord, we ask you to manifest yourself in here today in a powerful way. I ask you to touch, Lord, from the youngest to the oldest and all in between. Lord, we ask for you to pour out your spirit in this place because we need you. We need times of refreshing that comes from your presence. We need uh Lord sometimes just a little encouragement and strengthening in this journey as we walk by faith and not by sight. And Lord, we ask for you to move today in that way in Jesus name. Amen. Amen.

And and uh he said, "Uh, grab you a piece of toilet paper because you're going to be crying today." And then I get up here and Pastor Dean said, "The Lord is not done yet." And when he said that, the the the Holy Spirit just kind of started coming on me today. So that that's a that's a witness. The Lord wants to do something here today. So let's just worship him like he deserves. Let's worship the Lord today like he deserves. Amen. Yep. Guitar on guitar. There we go. There we go. Blessed be your name. The wind that is plentiful. The streams of abundance flow. Blessed be your name. Blessed be your name. Blessed be your name. Every sing will say blessed be the name of the Lord. Blessed be your name.
