  1. and then later moses says very clearly he had been in your presence he had been in your glory he has seen your mighty power and yet he cries again and again he cries to you on the mountain show me your glory lord there are times and seasons god that you visit your people in special ways god we just pray god that we will have one of those again lord we want you to visit us in a special way with your glory and your presence a true revival a true move of the holy spirit god in our midst and and around us god as we begin to reach out lord it's not it's not by might nor by power but it's by your spirit lord and father we just pray in the name of jesus that we would not grieve your spirit or quench your spirit lord in any way we want you holy spirit we want you to come in fullness we want you to come and manifest the glory of the father the glory of jesus and begin to change us more and more into the image of jesus and and mature us and free us from the junk that that tries to hold us back in this world and in our own flesh in our own hearts god sin and worldliness and laziness and unforgiveness and lust and anger and bitterness and things that try to just latch hold of us and hold us back from your glory lord i'm praying that there will be a serious time of visitation in auburn in opalica in this region at this university here lord of visitation of the holy ghost where your glory comes and convicts of sin of righteousness and judgment to come where truth is exalted where signs and wonders give witness to the resurrection of jesus christ and the truth that's being preached where people come to mock and scoff lord and then fall down under the power of the holy ghost like like saul and get saved lord i pray that we'll see those days in the days ahead in jesus name amen you know i could almost play that song again right there about show us your glory lord show us your glory come and feel this place [Music] you know i think about leonard ravenhill and that was the cry of his heart he used to always pray that prayer from isaiah 64. lord rend the heavens and come down

  2. that the mountains may melt at your presence that your enemies may run at your presence i think i'm just going to go with this this morning because i feel something strong this that we need to be praying for god for god's glory to fill us to fill this place to fill [Music] to fill our our city to touch people nobody can be saved listen the bible is clear that no one can come to jesus unless the father draws them and that drawing of course is not always comfortable because the bible says the holy spirit comes to convict the world of sin of righteousness of judgment to come it's uncomfortable i mean god when jesus appeared to to saul of tarsus on the road to damascus he said how is it that you kick against the pricks and what he was saying there's how is it that you are resisting the drawing of the holy spirit on your conscience on your heart i mean god was touching him and god was convicting him and god was drawing him you know i think probably the final straw was when when saul stood there and watched stephen stone to death and it says the glory of god he said his his face lit up and that he he he cried out he saw the son of man he saw jesus standing at the right hand of the father and and then he says words like father forgive them they don't know what they're doing can you imagine what that did to saul's heart when he heard those words from a man that he was having put to death i mean saul was standing there holding the man's clothes as they stoned him and killed him and the man is saying lord don't lay this sin to their charge and that's that's the kind of stuff that saul was resisting but let me tell you the early church they remembered the prayer of jesus pray for your enemies bless those that curse you they knew that prayer it was fresh on them right and saul was one of the worst persecutors of the church he admitted that later as paul he admitted i persecuted the church of god and wasted it he said in galatians wasted it i mean he he just was zealous about putting men and women in prison in christian men and women in prison he hated this new this new thing god was doing he just hated it because it was going against all the the traditions of the old covenant and the law and it was just it was it was it upset the apple cart right but what did it take for saul of tarsus to get saved not just god pricking his heart that was the beginning god was drawing him and he was resisting how many of you we have a free will any man or woman can resist the holy ghost they can quench the holy ghost even in stephen's sermon stephen's sermon that that saul was sitting there listening to he said he said to them and this was is what made them so angry he pointed at the pharisees and the religious leaders

  3. and he said you do always resist the holy ghost as your fathers did so to you and it just said they it just cut them to the heart and that's when they they decided to kill him but what did it take god was convicting him god was drawing him god was was hearing the prayers of saints that were praying for him but it took a manifestation here what i'm saying it took a manifestation of the glory of god the power of god an encounter with god's power to knock saul down on the ground blind him and get his attention and i know i've shared this before he wasn't on his way to church y'all i mean yeah to drag some people to prison but he wasn't going there to worship he wasn't going there is curious he wasn't a seeker and god wasn't seeker friendly either was he blinded the man knocked him on the ground how is it that you persecute me i think if paul at that point if saul would have resisted god and said i don't want you i believe you struck him dead right then and there it's my opinion but i believe it why because the glory had manifested you think about this this thing about glory of the glory of god see all i'm saying about about we need glory is i'm just saying i'm saying that we need god to manifest himself we need god to show up and do some things and granted he is doing some things but oh how much more we need and i said we need god to really manifest the fullness of his glory one more time time is running out we don't have much more time one more time one more time one more revival one more real glorious move of god before this thing wraps up and and it's over with but there's something about the glory of god that that you have to pull on it you have to want that more than anything else and a group of people to get that have to really really really desire that i'll show you just let me show you this right here i go to psalm psalm 63 this is one of my favorite passages about the glory of god psalm 63 [Music] and this is a psalm of david and in my bible here it says a psalm of david when he was in the wilderness of judah meaning when he was running for his life in the wilderness from saul king saul and look what he says here this was david's longing his desire literally the heading over my psalm 63 here says yearning for god and he says oh god you are my god early will

  4. i seek thee my soul thirsts for thee my flesh longs for thee in a dry and thirsty land where no water is to see your power and your glory so as i have seen you in the sanctuary because your loving kindness is better than life my lips will praise you i want you to see that right there though he said early will i seek you and that doesn't just mean early in the morning in the hebrew probably in some of your translations it says earnestly or diligently lord i want you and what is he saying lord i i long for you i thirst for you in a dry and thirsty land where no water is this is a man that was running for his life in the wilderness who understood thirst remember how he missed and later on in his life how when he was king and he he said oh that i had some water from the well that is in bethlehem and his mighty men broke through the philistines and got him a a glass of water i mean this is a man and one thing i've been to israel you spent a little time there you understand thirst the climate is so dry and it is so it's a weird dustiness in the air and you just get so thirsty but listen to me y'all every now and then i believe god like like trying to get a a you know a one-year-old or a you know a baby to walk is what do you do you hold them up you help them get started but you gotta back awake you gotta let them you got to let them try and so many times with god you know he'll he'll pick us up he'll be right there we'll feel his presence we'll feel his glory in our life but then there are seasons that he hides himself he backs away and he backs away so that we will what hunger and thirst for him it's a testing time are we going to fill that void that we feel with things of the world or the lust of the flesh or sins or just you know being lazy or are we going to hunger and thirst after him and what did what did david say here he said i hunger i'm a man that's my soul is thirsty for you god he said my soul is thirsty for you my flesh longs for you in a dry and thirsty land where no one is and what what to see your power and your glory to see your power and your glory how many of you want to see the power and the glory of god see i want to see i have seen it and he says this he says so as i have seen in the sanctuary meaning i have seen god's power and glory before but i'm not satisfied with what i had before i'm not satisfied with the past i want more of god now i want to see the glory of god now i want to see the power of god now i want to see god i want my soul to be satisfied with the glory of god with with with with

  5. more than than even what i had in the past and it's that hunger what did god say jesus say in matthew 5 and the beatitudes what blessed are they that do hunger and thirst for righteousness what they will be filled well wait a minute if you hunger and thirst that means you know if you're hungry it means you haven't had food in a while if you're thirsty it means you haven't had something to drink in a while right that means that means there's a season where god backs up maybe it's a season where god starts backing up so he can prune some things you know the bible says if you bear fruit in john 15 he said if you bear fruit he said he comes to that tree that bears fruit and that's a good tree a good tree is bearing fruit he said he comes to that tree and he says he prunes it so that later it can bear more fruit right the pruning part's not the fun part i much rather have the bearing fruit part but when god prunes you or he lets you go through what he backs away hard time dry time what's that to find out if you will press in if you will seek him if you will go after him if you will say god i've got to have your presence more than i more than anything in this life that's what he said your loving kindness right here is better than life having your loving kindness intimacy times with you is more important me is more valuable than my very life i mean literally men and women of god in this book i mean would say if you know and david said it basically if i don't have your presence just kill me because it didn't you know i can't imagine now trying to live in this world without god man i think paul said it about people said they are all men most miserable man if you have no hope of of intimacy with god or eternal life wow how miserable no wonder people are killing themselves left and right no wonder people are trying to take every kind of of depression pill there is in the world why because they don't have the presence and glory of god in their life and there's many christians who don't have it because they don't want it you know i like what linda ravenhill said about revival he goes why is it we don't have revival he said because we're satisfied to live without it the glory of god is something real it's something it's something tangible it's something more than just an anointing or a little breeze and y'all know i've preached on that i've preached on that more than once here about the difference between the glory of god and even the presence of god the difference between

  6. the glory of god and the anointing all of god let me say all of it's good right any degree of god's anointing god's presence god's glory any degree of it is wonderful and good but we need something beyond that amen see when jesus came jesus came to a dead dry religious system didn't he that was full of sin full of compromise full of idolatry full of pretense and everything else and he came on the scene fasting being fasting in prayer and jesus comes on the scene and it says the holy spirit came on him the anointing was on him he stood up and quotes isaiah 61 and luke 4. he quotes isaiah 61 in the synagogue of nazareth and says you know the spirit of the lord is upon me because he's anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor and to set the captives free and so on he says the spirit of god's on me and has anointed me and what what did he say this day this scripture is fulfilled in your ears what a bold statement but he said they're going something's different and they said they were amazed at the words that came out of his mouth the gracious word what were they amazed at every every every sabbath someone got up and read the scriptures but something was different this time jesus got up with the anointing he got up with the glory of god on him and i can have it and you can have it and boy do we need it to pray it down and bring it down on people because we live in a time people need they need the anointing and presence and glory of god there's some people not going to be saved unless the glory of god hits them and i mean hits them hard and that's going to come through people who are fasting and praying it's going to come through people who are obeying the holy spirit now let me let me just say this turned with me to galatians because i was going to get on this a little bit but in galatians chapter 3. he talks about those working miracles are y'all with me this morning galatians 3. and of course he's talking about you know he was having an issue with you know there were people uh i'll give you a little background before i read this there were people in the church that were christians they were jews and they would they had accepted jesus as their savior and been born again and and most of them filled with the holy spirit we know but then they got hooked up into you know aspects of the law saying that you know unless you were circumcised you couldn't be saved unless you kept the feast you couldn't be saved and they started trying to add all these ritualistic aspects of the law

  7. back into christianity and of course the church had to you know the early church had a council about it acts 15 spells that out and they said we you know the dietary laws and all this stuff and all these other religious things we don't have to put on people anymore and they gave them just a few things about fornication and not drinking blood and and you know and idolatry and they gave him just a few things because you know this is something that's a problem in the church world especially right now more than i've ever seen in my life and that is they don't know the difference between the liberty that we have in the new covenant from certain things in the old covenant versus throwing the entire old covenant out and not knowing how to use it properly or taking the new covenant liberty and turning it into a license to do whatever they want you know so there's just really a lot of misunderstanding but he talks about right here in chapter 3 verse 1 he says o foolish galatians who hath bewitched you that you should not obey the truth before whose eyes jesus christ has been evidently set forth and crucified among you this only what i learned of you receive ye the spirit by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith are you so foolish having begun in the spirit are you now made perfect by the flesh and he says have you suffered so many things in vain if it be yet in vain but look at verse five he says he therefore that ministers to you the spirit and worketh miracles among you does he do it by the works of the law or by the hearing of faith and so what's he saying there he's saying you know what it the glory of god doesn't come from practicing the rituals of the law he says the glory of god comes by faith the hearing of faith now what is faith faith is simply what hearing god and obeying that's the simplest way to explain it faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of god that's what romans says right romans 10 17 everybody ought to know that faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of god so what's he saying right here he's saying guess what it takes people that are gonna minister the spirit and minister miracles he said they're not gonna do it because they're legalistic people they're gonna do it because they get close to god and they hear his voice and they obey him that's the difference between the law and faith now let me say this about the law you know this is where people get get real confused the law is there some people say well all of the law was done away with right but no it wasn't in this aspect there's three parts to the old covenant law you ought to write these down because you're going to have to explain this to somebody sooner or later there's three parts to the old covenant law real simple okay

  8. and i know y'all are wondering where am i going with this well you'll see in a second three parts to the old covenant law first was the moral law okay the moral law basically the ten commandments but morality sexual morality idolatry issues on down the line okay moral law is the first one the second one was the civil law okay and the civil law had to do with meeting out judgments when people had disagreements or there was some crime committed or some theft or you know an accident that happened and so so israel was given within the law of moses they were given also a civil law okay and then they were given a ceremonial law that's the third part the ceremonial law had to do with the sacrifices had to do with rituals of cleansing um all kinds of different rituals i mean in essence too i i would be breaking uh a law right now by having my head shaved and having a beard that's that's trimmed you know that that's one of the old covenant laws right not under that anymore i had a guy when i was preaching on the campus come up to me and obviously i don't know if he was jewish or not he looked it but he was middle eastern but he tried to come up and say how can you be preaching the bible when you know your head shaved and so he's trying to put that law on me and i had to explain to him the ceremonial law and certain aspects of the law i'm not held to anymore under the new covenant new covenant made that plain matter of fact we know at one point paul shaved his head okay so whenever the new covenant says something that's the way it is all right now here's what's interesting a lot of people that try to throw out the old covenant altogether they try to throw it out the way they and they say well we're not under law at all even moral law but no if it carried over in the new covenant then it's part of god's commandments okay if it didn't then we should leave it alone now the things that we leave alone even from the old covenant like the like for instance i don't have to keep the feast anymore right i don't have to keep the feast of israel i'm free from any sabbath holy day i don't have to observe a new moon i don't have to do anything like that that the jews were required to do but those things we can learn we learn principles of god from so maybe not the practice doesn't always go over to the new covenant life but principles we learn that's why paul said the things that that happened to them the things that they did were examples to us now here's something that we need to really get a grasp on go to second go to second uh corinthians chapter

  9. three second corinthians three are you there yet i'll let you get there because this has to do with with the glory of god say this with me the old covenant had glory on it but the new covenant has greater glory if they had glory back then boy we should have really have it now right it's just the principle let's read this in second corinthians 3 here and i'm going to skip down a little bit here all right look at verse six he's he's talking about being ministers of the of the new covenant verse six he said who also speaking of god has made us able ministers of the new testament not of the letter but of the spirit for the letter kills but the spirit gives life but if the ministration of death speaking of the law the old covenant law he said but if the ministration of death written and engraved in stones was glorious and it was so that the children of israel could not steadfastly behold the face of moses for the glory of his countenance which glory was to be done away how shall not the ministration of the spirit be rather glorious you hear what he's saying he's saying if the old covenant had such glory on it that moses face glowed and it was the ministration of death because the law basically brought forth death he says what he said that the glory now in the new covenant under the ministration of the spirit shouldn't that be more glorious see here's the problem with us we take advantage of god's grace and loving kindness and forgiveness and settle in some kind of lukewarm halfway dedicated halfway diligent life and don't realize that there's glory god wants to give us that's even beyond stuff he gave to moses are you hearing me now you i can say honestly that in the new covenant there have been times i have seen god's glory i'm talking about i have seen an open vision of jesus and the glory of heaven heaven was opened to me i saw jesus standing at the right hand of the glory of the father it was such an intense manifestation of god's glory and i've shared this i could hardly i could hardly take any more there's been times that i have i have

  10. been i remember i was speaking at a men's meeting at the first baptist church in dublin georgia back in 1996 and i remember that the i i was standing at this little at the podium and i remember seeing heaven open for a second and jesus standing there with a picture of his glory and pouring it out and i remember the glory of god was so strong that i could hardly stand i had to hold on to the pulpit to stand up glory the human body when true pure powerful glory comes in it's hard to keep standing i remember when i used to go to the prison at tutwiler prison and i went there once a month the last sunday of every month and it was powerful we'd have 120 women come in there plus fill that little chapel up i'd preach my heart out we'd have a little praise and worship i'd preach my heart out give an altar call start praying for people and i remember the assistant chaplain used to walk with me as i prayed for people and i remember she used to say i can't hardly stand up when you start praying for people because the glory of god was so strong god wants to pour out his glory more and more and more and i look back and i have even said lately i said lord you know i i know we've seen little you know some for some reason we've seen it in doing this church here little drops of glory here and there but not this strong manifestation and i know that that during that season part of the reason the glory of god was flowing so was not just because i was holier or because i was praying and fasting more or anything like that it had to do with being connected to the brownsville revival it was a season of revival and that then that glory would you know go to the revival and that glory would get on you and then that glory would flow out of you to other people it was a special visitation that had come through prayer now years before the revival had i seen god's glory and power come on me and threw me in different yes and that came mainly through prayer and fasting i'm not saying prayer fasting is not important if if matter of fact if your spiritual life is dried up at all or if you feel like god's step back or if it's getting difficult to deal with temptation it's time to go on an extended fast and spend some time in prayer and cut the tv off and and cut off you know put the newspaper down or whatever and it's time to spend some extra time seeking after god until the glory comes back until you break through whatever it is sometimes it's a fight something the devil listen the devil tries to keep us from this glory all right this is his whole goal the glory of god scares the devil to death it torments and vexes him remember this jesus didn't just walk in the anointing it says remember when he went and did his first miracle at cain of galilee and i'm not going to turn there because i want to stay here in second corinthians because we're going back to it but his first miracle john chapter two he goes to cain of galilee and what does it say it says there he manifested his glory to his disciples that miracle was a miracle

  11. of god's glory manifesting okay the turning the water to wine at the wedding that was a that just blew their minds and i remember when he when he gave that word of knowledge to nathaniel and nathanael said you are the messiah he goes wow you believe this you're going to see greater things than this you're going to see heaven open and the angels of god ascending and descending he told the thing of this is nothing son this is nothing this is just a gift of the spirit i'm gonna show you you're gonna see heaven open you're gonna see angels you're gonna see god moving and doing things you're gonna see stuff beyond i remember when when he goes in luke 7 when jesus goes to the city of nain and it said he touches the coffin of the young man that was in the coffin and the guy gets up out of the coffin it says the glory of god was there and and the people knew that god had visited them see glory is a visit from god anointing is something that he can just throw down but the glory is a visit from the lord we need another one amen it's called the visitation it's called a real revival it's called a move of god it's called the heavens open and god's stepping down and doing something supernatural but that does that takes a people who hunger for him and thirst for him and want him he's not coming to a folks indifferent about it he's not coming to a folks up one day down the necks up and down up and down up and down and can't decide what they want he's looking for folks that want him to come and he says when the heart turns i'm going to read this he said when your heart truly turns to him fully then he'll rip that veil off and the glory can be revealed let's let's read it second corinthians three we stopped at verse eight let's go on he says verse nine for if the ministration of condemnation speaking of the law be glory he said much more does the ministration of righteousness exceed in glory for even that which was made glorious had no glory in this respect by reason of the glory that excels for if that which is done away was glorious much more than that which remains his glory so he's talking about the two covenants he said if that which was done away with was full of god's glory how much more now should we experience all right let's keep reading seeing then that we have such hope this is the hope that god will manifest himself to us now in the here and now not just when we die or when jesus comes but now he says seeing that we have such hope we use great plainness of speech and not as moses which put a veil over his face that the children of israel could not steadfastly look to the end of that which was abolished but their minds

  12. were blinded for until this day remains the same veil untaken away in the reading of the old testament which veil is done away in christ but even unto this day when moses is read the veil is on their heart nevertheless when it or the heart shall turn to the lord the veil shall be taken away now the lord is that spirit and where the spirit of the lord is there is liberty but we all with open face beholding as in a glass the glory of the lord are changed into the same image from glory to glory as by the spirit of the lord so what's he saying that even in them reading the old testament he said a spirit of blindness had come on the jews and really you know what's so funny about that what's so wild is they'd ask for it moses comes down off the mountain he's been with god the glory's on him instead of embracing that and saying we want that they said oh we can't put it he put a veil on it when they asked for a veil for moses to put a veil on his face god put a veil on their heart and it blocked them from understanding the old covenant and what the old covenant said about the new covenant and what the old covenant said about christ coming that's why the pharisees he's standing in front of them can't see can't understand a veil on their heart a veil on their eyes ask for the glory see i think if they to ask for the glory as a matter of fact i think when god came down on that mountain in the old testament when he came down on that mountain and and and god spoke if they'd if i think if they'd just change their attitude what did they say they ran away you go talk to god we we're scared of him and god was wanting the whole people he's want even think about this in the old covenant moses said would to god that all his people were prophets what was he saying would to god that all god's people were would get up close to him and hear what he had to say get up close to him and and let me tell you you get up close enough you know i probably shouldn't say this but i know this you know you know that you know if you're hugging on your wife and and kissing on your wife or whatever you know you hug if she's got perfume on i walk away i end up smelling like her yeah i remember i remember sometimes i take my shirt off and i smell her perfume you get up close to god you end up what some of that's rubbing off on you yeah that's what we got to do y'all it's got to be it's got to be this thing we got to cry out for it right you got to cry out that wasn't too too much for y'all what

  13. we're all grown ups in here okay i thought so no teenagers the snicker and laugh all right i want the glory to rub off on me i don't want to tell god no put a veil on it put a veil i can't handle it right and he said that's what we need what do you say but we all with open face beholding as a glass the glory of the lord are changed see the more we experience god's glory the more we are the more we are changed into his image now i'm not talking about sitting around visualizing something like some nuts do now try to visualize heaven and visualize god's no not talking about that sometimes god manifests his glory where you can see it but it won't be because you're sitting there meditating and trying to conjure it up right he'll manifest it but i'll tell you this much he can take if your heart turns to him fully and is hungry and thirsty for him like david said i want to see your glory i want to see your power i want your glory lord show me your glory i want to be close to you i want to see i want to experience let me tell you what what he says when the heart turns to the lord the veil anything in between you and him can be removed it can be taken away and when a group of people and i'll say when a church a group of people finally get god as their goal that's when revival to come when they get hungry and thirsty enough to fast and pray and let god change their heart and their attitudes he'll manifest amen you think about this go go with me i love this right here go with me to matthew matthew 17. well none of this was planned this morning y'all so bear with me here a second matthew 17. you there start at verse 1. here's where jesus manifests his glory now remember he was walking around god manifested in the flesh but if you looked at him or you saw him as a man right you could watch walk up and touch him he could touch his hand you could touch his beard he was fully a man and yet full of god right jesus didn't walk around all the

  14. time glowing okay but look at this this verse this is what's awesome here this is about the transfiguration listen and after six days jesus taketh with him or taketh peter james and john now the first thing ought to get your attention here is he had 12 disciples why only three we'll talk about that second he said after six days jesus taketh in peter james and john his brother and bringing them up into a high mountain apart and was transfigured before them and his face did shine as the sun and his reignment was white as the light jesus began to manifest his glory to these three disciples and behold there appeared unto them moses and elijah talking with them then answered peter and said unto jesus lord it is good for us to be here if you will let us make your three tabernacles one for you one for moses one for elijah and while he yet spake behold a bright cloud overshadowed them and behold a voice out of the cloud which said this is my beloved son in whom i am well pleased hear ye him and when the disciples heard they fell on their face and were sore afraid see the glory brings the fear of god and jesus came and touched them and said arise be not afraid and when they had lifted up their eyes they saw no man save jesus only and then of course jesus tells it tells them i love this and they lifted up their eyes they only saw jesus as they came down from the mountain jesus charges him tell the vision to no man until the son of man be risen again from the dead and his disciples ask him say why why then save the scribes that elijah must first come and of course jesus talks about elijah did come because john the baptist came in the spirit of elijah so they get revelation here's what i want to get at why did jesus just pick peter james and john i mean he had hand prayed over all night he'd stayed up all night praying jesus the bible tells us always heard what the father said he picked the ones the father told him to pick they were all good men he even even nathanael was one there he looked at him and said there is no deceit no guile found in you nathaniel that means nathaniel was a was a godly righteous man yet not nathanael's not on the mountain but peter james and john why let me tell you why i believed that they were more passionately in love with god than the other nine even though peter screwed up peter was zealously affected and just zealously in love with god i mean that's that's what really motivated peter more than anything when he cut the guy's ear off or when

  15. when jesus told him you know i'm going to be crucified and he was like this is not going to be and when they came up to get jesus you know peter pulls out a sword cuts he was aiming at his head cut his ear off right it's good he was a fisherman and not a swordsman right but what peter loved jesus passionately john we know john we we got the hint from john about john was always trying to lay his head on on jesus you know john wanted to be up next to him every every chance he got james and john even though there was a bit of pride in them they wanted where did they want to be they wanted to be sitting next to jesus in his kingdom and even though you know a little pride can slip in sometimes of wanting to be close to god but those three showed more willingness to lay down their lives willingness to forsake everything see john and and james and john were brothers and their father was very wealthy he had a very wealthy business and they left all that they left everything to follow him and i just i just really believe there was just a level of hunger and thirst for the for god and and that's why you see them there you see them going what we know you're the one we and we've just seen this glory we already knew it we already believed it but now we see this going we see moses and elijah's standing with you we here's what's so beautiful they didn't understand you know the scribes were saying well elijah has to come first so jesus they basically what the scribes were saying was elijah has to show up first so this can't be the christ that's what they were saying and god does this all the time he does things sometimes in a way we don't expect so it'll make the one stumble that are look trying to scrutinize everything and so the scribes stumble over this elijah thing but but the disciples they know he's the one we may not have it all figured out but in our hearts they burn the hearts we felt his presence we know he is the christ the messiah and we want him more than we want our family more than we want our business more than we want money more than we want anything and listen that come and follow me thing what did peter say lord what did we get one day he said he said lord what do we get we left everything peter had a wife had children we left everything to follow you and the lord said you're going to get plenty and that was before this right here see this right here came later

  16. and then you think about later on how peter had the vision of the gentiles and how peter i mean and we think sometimes we think and see y'all need to hear this right here real good we think sometimes well that was the apostles that's why they got to see those things and experience those things no what i just read in corinthians to you jesus was still operating in what before the cross where what covenant was he operating in right but look at the glory on that and i'm not saying i hope i make this clear i'm not saying you got to have visions and you got to have this to be a be a real christian sometimes the glory can come on you just while you're reading the bible sometimes let me say this if your heart's hungry and thirsty sometimes god's filling you with glory and you don't even know it you don't even know until you start talking to somebody or you get around a demon-possessed person you don't really realize the glories on you let me show you let me show you this verse and i want him thinking of him i wasn't even thinking about yeah we'll tell you about that later turn turn to first peter 3. i want you to see this about glory sometimes you don't even know the glory's on you and sometimes you do y'all with me i'm not going too long emma first peter chapter 3. well no i'm sorry it's chapter four look what he says here in verse 12. we'll start at verse 12. he says beloved thinking not strange concerning the fiery trial which is to try you as some strange thing happened unto you but rejoice in as much as you are partakers of christ's suffering that we in his glory shall be revealed you may be glad also with exceeding joy now look at verse 14 if you are reproached for the name of christ happy are you for the spirit of glory and of god resteth on you and on their part he is evil spoken of but on your part he is glorified if you're reproached for the name of christ people talk against you come against you here's a good sign if people come against you and they don't even know why they're coming against you

  17. they got no have you ever had you ever had somebody just attack you and you're like what i do i didn't do anything i didn't do anything and say anything and also i'm getting attacked ridiculed put down guess what that glory stirring up a demon if you are reproached for the name of jesus all right the spirit of glory of god rests on you so sometimes you'll see it sometimes you can sometimes you can see it and feel it sometimes you can't see it but you can feel it sometimes you don't feel it or see it but the glory of god is there if you're hungry and thirsty for righteousness for him what is it what's the promise you will be filled those who will forsake all and take up the cross they get glory from god his glory his presence his power that's why there's no shortcuts man no shortcuts i could stay on this subject a while i'm gonna quit here some good stuff man we look at john on the isle of patmos old man by now 96 a.d old man rome's tried to kill him boiled him in oil they couldn't kill him so they said we'll just put you on an island out here keep you away from everybody what happens what did he say i was in the spirit on the lord's day and i heard a voice the sound of many waters and the glory of god filled that that dungeon he was in the glory of god filled that and god showed him he had this vision of jesus and and jesus told him everything going on in the churches of asia that he was kind of over and pastored and and jesus tells him everything that's going on then jesus tells him everything's going to happen in the end that's good stuff man oh man last verse just to prove something to you acts chapter two i feel a little something stirring on this hungry i probably shouldn't say last verse sorry here's the promise of god y'all for us and i want to say we can tap into this or we can we cannot tap into it you can tap into this for yourself and for your family or you can miss it

  18. but here's the promise of god about the last days we're living in it's not all bad there are some good there's some good things that god talks about look at what he says here verse 17 and it shall come to pass in the last days saith god i will pour out my spirit upon all flesh and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy and your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams and all my servants and all my handmaidens i will pour out in those days of my spirit and they will prophesy and i will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath blood and fire and pillars of smoke so before he starts talking about the judgment and the bad things he said i'm gonna pour out my spirit my glory my power my anointing i'm gonna pour out my spirit on all flesh but he's then he clarifies it yeah i'm gonna touch everybody you know why he says all flesh because he's drawing everybody god's really drawing everybody some are coming some are resisting but god's drawing everybody he said if i be lifted up this is john 12 he said if i be lifted up i will draw all men unto me so jesus was lifted up on that cross and from henceforth the holy spirit went for to draw all men that's another reason calvinism is wrong but we won't get on that trail but the bottom line is he's drawing all men some are resisting some are coming but the bottom line here he says on my servants on my handmaidens on those who forsake all take up the cross follow me hunger and thirst for righteousness he says i'm going to pour out my spirit on them and they're going to see visions and dreams and prophesy and they're going to move in power in the last days that is the promise of god it's also in the book of daniel 11. what do you say the people who know their god will be strong and do exploits so see that's what i'm determining in the last days i don't care if the middle east is burning up in nuclear weapons i don't care if china attacks us i don't care if our economy collapses i don't care what happens around me i'm going to have the glory of god and the power of god and the word of god in me and flowing out to somebody even if everything's burning up around me i'm going to do something for god and that's the odd attitude that i hope we grab a hold of i want the glory of god i want it more than anything else and i have to admit that i battle just like everybody else battles with staying fervent and on fire and passionate about it because sometimes you like in this waiting process you get weary can somebody say amen it happens doesn't it that's why we need to exhort one another and encourage one another that's what church is about that's why god changed my message this morning i think he just wanted to encourage us he's got good things for us to do no matter how bad it gets in this world and now even i'm not talking about

  19. something we're waiting for several months for now you get hungry now you get filled now you get thirsty now you get filled now you go after god now you get what you what you desire from him you cut off some things you you take something you know stuff out there in this world you know what it does it drills little holes in you so the glory and the anointing leaks out you know i'm gonna be honest recently not too long ago i you know just watching trying to watch fox news sometimes in the evening and the commercials full of naked women in bikinis and and all this weird stuff going on in these commercials and i'm like and i mean sometimes i i get it quick enough to change just to change it or whatever but sometimes i don't i realized after after a few days i noticed it was poking holes in me i realized the lord even told me he said that stuff that stuff's draining draining you so guess what i pretty much hadn't watched anything or you know cut it back watched a little bit of news and watched a little bit of the game and what you know but still have to have to change the channel several times a hardee's commercial i was like what i mean i turned away and nancy was like yeah it's terrible don't look i'm like what i said what is that an advertisement for she said hearties like what for a hamburger yeah the god of hamburgers commercial yeah that's it good grief i mean that just the god parts off you know some of those zeus like demonic god up there i'm like whoa okay hearties you can't come up with another idea for a commercial right but that stuff what it drains you you know oh i'm gonna quit i need to quit the glory of god let me give you what i'm gonna give you this this is what leonard ravenhill used to pray turn to psalm 80 i think it's at psalm 80 or psalm 81 but let's just turn that direction we'll find it this ought to be a prayer the next week it's a prayer you can pray this is what the old revivalist used to pray everybody there yeah it's 80. look at what he says here i love this verse one give a give ear o shepherd of

  20. israel thou that lead us joseph like a flop you that dwell between the cherubims shine forth before ephraim and benjamin and manasseh stir up your strength and come and save us i hope you caught what we just read you who dwell between the church what dwelled between the cherubims on the mercy seat the glory of god what's the psalmist praying here you who dwell between the cherubims shine forth let it come forth and come save us we need your glory to come tell me israel didn't understand something i think leonard ravenhill used to say it this way you who dwell between the cherubims come down here and save us some people aren't going to be saved unless they encounter the glory and they need to encounter the glory through us god always works through people he finds somebody to work through right believe you me it looks like he just appeared to saul of tarsus on that road to damascus but i guarantee you there were some saints praying for that man maybe the church that stephen went to that just got people his family maybe his friends they just buried him and they were praying for for saul of tarsus the blood of martyrs that's kind of a final straw you start killing christians you you're either going to get saved or get dead one of the two amen let's pray father in heaven we love you and we pray we pray together right now for your glory to come for your mighty awesome glory your strong presence your manifestation of who you are in heaven lord that you'll rent the heavens and come down here and visit us lord individually we need a season of visitation in our personal lives in our homes we need you to visit and manifest your glory god in auburn and opalica we're crying out for you to come and manifest your glory on this campus we're believing you god for a day that many people are are brought to their knees brought down to their face and the fear of god in both the fear of god and the love of god and the revelation of you god just just just falls upon them like you did saul of tarsus father i'm praying for that kind of move for that kind of glory to come down and to change us and to begin to save those that are lost around us

  21. father i pray that prayer god i ask you to stir my brothers and sisters here today and those who hear this message stir them to pray for the glory of god to bring conviction of sin and to bring the fear of the lord and to bring the trembling and to bring both the all and the wonder back to us so that we long for god and thirst for god and hunger for god until that is satisfied with glory from heaven until that is satisfied with glory and power that's getting people saved left and right and all around us lord we want more than the trickle we pray for the flood we pray for the windows of heaven to be open and the blessing of your glory to be poured out we want your glory more than money more than fame more than popularity more than a big church more than a big church building we want the glory to manifest and we want our families that are lost to be saved cousins children aunts and uncles people we work with we want the glory to hit them and knock them down even at work in jesus name we pray
