So, I'm I'm the closer and I just want to just tell you this was not what I intended to share at all until yesterday. So, the Lord changed things, changed it up. And I could be just like everybody else. You stole my verses. You stole But it belongs to all of us. And I think the Lord is just wanting to just reiterate and drive it home. Drive it home. Drive it home. Drive it home. Kind of strange title, I know. Making it to supper. Uh, this is what the Lord wants me to close out with. What we're looking at is a different take on the on marriage, and that's the marriage supper. Revelation 196-9. And I heard as it were the voice of a great multitude, and as the voice of many waters, as the voice of mighty thundering, saying, Hallelujah, for the Lord God omnipotent reignth. Let us be glad and rejoice and give honor to him for the marriage of the Lamb is come and his wife hath made herself ready. And to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen, clean and white. For the fine linen is the righteousness of saints. And he saith unto me, Right, blessed are they which are called unto the marriage supper of the Lamb. and he saith unto me, these are the true sayings of God. Revelation 19:6-9. So the fine linens are the righteousness of the saints. And that's what we're called to to do is cleanse ourselves like Pastor Dean was talking about of all filthiness, you know, spiritually, physically, the works of the flesh, all of those things. Everything that's in God's word, we are to hear, read, do, practice, share. Um, that's how we become righteous. We just have to keep working at at cleaning ourselves up so that we make it to this supper, right? Who makes it to the supper? Who makes it there? Luke 14 16- 24. Then he said, and he is Jesus, unto him, a certain man made a great supper and bathed many, and sent his servant at supper time to say to them that were bidden, come. Do you notice he didn't say, "Please come if you're, you know, I'd love for you to come." It was a command. Come for all things are now ready. And they all with one consent began to make excuse. And that word there is to refuse or reject. All right? When you make excuses. The first said unto him, I have bought a piece of ground and I must n go and see it. I pray thee have an
excuse. And another said, I have bought five yoga vats and I go to prove them. I pray thee have excused. And another said, I have married a wife and therefore I cannot come. a lot of excuses. So that servant came and showed his lord these things. Then the master of the house being angry said to his servant, "Go out quickly in the streets and lanes and city and bring hither the poor, the named the hall the blind." And the servant said, "Lord, it is done as thou has commanded." And yet there is room. And the Lord said unto the servant, "Go out into the highways and hedges, and compel them to come in that my house may be filled. For I say unto you, that none of those men which were bi shall taste my supper." So who makes it? Was there anything wrong with buying oxen? Was there anything wrong with buying land? I mean, many of us in here, is it a sin to buy land? It wasn't a sin. And it's not a sin to to get married, right? What was the sin? What is sin? He didn't obey the command. Right? They didn't obey the command. So what is sin? If you go to 1 John 3:4, it says, "Whosoever committh sin transgresseth also the law. for sin is the transgression of the law. So it's it's not doing what God has said. If you're not doing what God has said, you're in sin. I mean, it's it's just so simple, you know, not not brain surgery here. Uh if you go to transgression of the law, that's lawlessness or iniquity. that Greek word anomia and theor's Greek dictionary says the condition of being without law because of ignorance of it or because of violating it. So not obeying the law because of ignorance or violating it just flat out not doing it. I'm not going to do it, you know, like I don't want to. Um I tell you this, after you've left here today, it's not going to be ignorance. because we've all heard what the Lord expects out of each one of us, husband, wife, or soon to be some someday to be husband or wife. Um, we've all heard it. So, it's not going to be out of ignorance that you don't do it. Vine's dictionary says that 1 John 3:4, which we just read, gives the real meaning of the word sin. And it goes on to say, "The definition of sin sets forth its essential character as the rejection of law or will of God and the
substitution of the will of self." That's what it boils down to. And it's been said before today, you know, during the day, it's you can't be selfish. If you're going to be married, you it can't be about you. Can't be about self. So the sin is the characteristic of it is rejection of God's law, his commands, his will for your life, for your marriage. He his will for your marriage is in his word. He gives us the instructions. He tells us what to do. When we're in sin, it's because we're substituting our own self-will. What we want, what we feel, what we think, right? For us conspiracy theorists in here, does that remind you the substitution of the will of self? Does that bring anything up to mind? Familiar? Do what the will shall be. The hold of the law, Alistister. He was working for the devil. Are you working for the devil in your marriage? Are you are you leaning towards God's side or the devil's side? Are you doing your own will or God's will? It's your choice. You have free will, but are you going to make it to the supper? We hear this in the end times that word that same word anomia for the lawlessness and the um iniquity it produces what in the end times and because iniquity shall abound the love and that's agape. So that's the God, the Christian, the one that we're supposed to have because we have God. God is love, the agape love of many shall wax cold. But he that shall endure until the end, unto the end, the same shall be saved. Matthew 24:12 and 13. So you're going to have to endure. You're going to have to do God's word because if not, you're in iniquity. I mean, it's just that simple. So what does God's word say to do? Galatians 5:24 says, "And they that are Christ have crucified the flesh with with the affections and lust." Now affections, if you look that up, it it one of the definitions it says emotions or influence that leads to sin. So you are supposed to crucify your own flesh, your own desires, your own affections, your own emotions, the things that are going to lead you to iniquity, anomia, right? Away from what God's word is saying into your own will. You were to crucify that. You were supposed to do away with it. It doesn't exist anymore. If you're living for Jesus, if it re rears its ugly head, you crucify it again. It's like that whack-a-ole game. If it pops up, whack it, right? You just
get rid of it. You stop it. Um John 14:15 said, "If you love me, keep my commandments." That's really simple. I mean, it is basic, not hard to do. If you love me, keep my commandments. How do you keep his commandments? You have to know them, right? If we sum this up, these two verses, get over yourself and obey, right? And that's what I say as we go forth from today in your marriage. Get over yourself and obey God's word. If you haven't spent time studying what God's word said, these scriptures that have been presented over and over and over that the Lord has wanted you to hear over and over and over because it takes repetition to get it in our minds and hearts. If you haven't studied them and you're in a marriage, that's messed up. It's what you do for a living. Like that's what you do for a living. You're married. Yeah. You need to know your your trades, what you're you know what you're in. And you need to know what God is telling you to do. So I felt like the Lord didn't want me to stay on, you know, a whole lot of things like just go through the scripture. What does it say? This says, "For this cause shall a man leave father, mother, and shall cleave to his wife, and they too shall be one flesh." If you are one flesh, what are you doing attacking yourself? Come on. That's right. Are you building yourself up, you and your spouse together as one flesh, or you're ripping your flesh apart? Right? Are you trying to live a separate life, totally separate from your one flesh? That doesn't work. Picture that one. I mean, ripping your flesh apart to go out to the club or out to do whatever or to just to do your own thing. Says, um, wherefore there are, uh, no more to no more twain or two, but one flesh. What therefore God hath joined together, let not man put us under. Matthew 19:5-6. So we're we're just going to run through some scriptures. And this is what you were responsible for after you leave here today. You were responsible before that, but in that scripture where it says, "What therefore God hath joined together, let no man put us under," a sunder means to place room between. Don't let anything place room between you and your spouse. Nothing. Not a church group, not parents, not children. This is a big one. Children. You and your spouse are the first relationship in the family besides God. Right? Your children do not put
room between you and your spouse. Do not allow that. They get sat down here and you work on your relationship. You love them. You take care of them. You nurture them. But they are not number one. They're not number one. And I don't know why I just said that, but I did. Um, very important. Put it in order. Put your put your family in order. That Dr. Spock cater to children thing. It gets on our nerves because that is not biblical at all. And if you're raising your kids that way, you are not obeying the word. Ephesians 5 22 through 24. And like I said, we've been through these today. Um, this is your final notice here. This is this is what we're doing from here on out. Make sure that you are studying this and implementing it. Marriage like Christ in the church. wives submit. That means obey. Women hate that word. I actually we actually lost a church member because well a family a couple because I preached on this one years ago. Um and whenever I questioned I said but it's in the word. And she said I just can't do it. And I was like what are you saying that bye? But really, what what do you say to that? I mean, I don't even comprehend that. It's just it's totally foreign to me. It's in the word. I can't do it. Oh my goodness. So, wives, submit, obey, yield to your yourselves, unto your own husbands, as unto the Lord. See, that's where you can that's where you can really um if you get that as unto the Lord. We do everything as unto the Lord. When you're raising your children, do it as unto the Lord. When you're loving your spouse, do it as unto the Lord. When you're submitting and obeying, it's as unto the Lord. Um, if you take yourself in your pride and even your husband out of it and do everything unto the Lord, uh, it it will help. So, for the husband is the head of the wife, even as Christ is the head of the church, and he is the savior of the body. Therefore, as the church is subject unto Christ, so let the wives be to their own husbands in everything. Everything. Everything. As my husband will say, you look that up. I know what everything means. Everything. Go on. Husbands, love your wives even as Christ also loved the church and gave himself for it, that he might sanctify and cleanse it with the washing of water by the word, that he might present it to himself a glorious church, not having
spot or wrinkle or any such thing that but that it should be holy and without blemish. So ought men to love their wives as their own bodies. How many of y'all go to the gym? Come on. What is up with these shy guys? Because I know this. My husband does. Does. Okay. Yeah. There we go. Okay. If you you spend that time going to the gym, right, to get your body in shape, you better be spending equal time putting in the work to love your wife and get your marriage in shape, right? And that goes for any kind of hobby or anything. But let's see. He that loveth his wife loveth himself. For no man ever yet hateth his own flesh, but nourisheth and cherisheth cherisheth it even as the Lord the church. For we are members of his body and his flesh and of his bones. For this cause shall a man leave his father and mother and shall be joined unto his wife and the two shall be one flesh. So, we've already talked about that one flesh. Don't fight against yourself. You look silly when you do. Have you ever seen, you know, people, the brothers that are like punching yourself in the face? That's what you look like whenever you're fighting your spouse. God's like, "Don't they get it? They're tearing their house down." Ephesians 5:32 through33. Continue on. This is a great mystery, but I speak concerning Christ and the church. Nevertheless, let every one of you in particular so love his wife even as himself, and the wife see that she reverence her husband. How many people you hear preaching that one? Reverence your husband. If you look that up, deference, which means humble submission and respect. It means you have to lower yourself and realize, you know what, God said to do this, it's it's in my best interest. That's what we don't give. It's not to put you down or you know it's because God knows what works. He created us. He knows how it should flow and we don't unless we get in his word and study it. So humble submission and respect. This is a big one for a lot of women. They they've lost respect for their husbands and you can hear it when they're out in public or when they're here and there or they're at church or whatever and they make just these little comments or they make these faces like you're so embarrassing for me. That's that's not respect. That's not honor. Um and then also reverential obedience is what that also means. Then we're going to go to 1 Peter 3 1-6. All of these you
guys should sit down and read at least once a week for for a while till you get it in you till you get it in you to where the Holy Spirit when you veer off the Holy Spirit be like remember that verse remember obey honor. So 1 Peter 3 1-6. Likewise, ye wives, be in subjection to your own husbands, that if any obey not the word, they also may without the word, without the word, without the word, without the word. Uh by the conversation, which is the behavior or manner of life of the wives, uh be one. I get this one. I get this one in emails and stuff pretty frequently about, you know, but my husband's not living for the Lord and he's not doing what's right and digging and I'm sitting there going, have you read the Bible? Have you read First Peter? It says shall pray for them like like they said, pray for them while they behold your chaste and uh conversation coupled with fear. that fear whose adorning, let it not be the outward adorning of the plating of the hair and of wearing of gold and putting on of apparel, which we do need to put on apparel, but that's not what he's talking about. Um, and it's okay to wear jewelry, but it's not that's not the focus. But let it be the hidden man of the heart in that which is not corruptable, even the ornament of a meek and quiet spirit, which is in the sight of God of great price. And you know, some women find this offensive that, oh, meek and quiet. Well, that's just not me. That's just not the way I am. I'm done. That's not But you know, we can work on it. We can work on it because it says here in the sight of God of great price. Great price. He values that. He He loves it when we can be meek, right? And have a quiet spirit, peaceful, peaceful spirit. Just think about in the storm, right? Was Jesus, if you're not doing that, you're not. You're not doing this. You're not doing that. Do this. Do that. No. Who's at peace? And we can do, too. Even if things aren't going the way we want them in our home or whatever. What's in you? Do you have the fruit of the spirit, that peace that you can help release into your home? You know, you don't have to be always trying to correct it with your mouth. You know, go to God with it and let him work on it. For after this manner in the old time that holy women also who trusted in God, and I underlined that because that's a key when you trust in God, right? even if you don't trust in your husband because that's what this woman I said whenever she would never leave the
church. I said, "Don't you trust your husband?" Cuz I thought he was a nice guy, right? I mean, he seemed to love the Lord. He was in the word. And don't you trust your husband? No. Once again, speechless. I, you know, where do you go? I'm like, well, that's a problem. But you can trust God, right? You could trust God. Even if your spouse, you know, like Pastor D and Pastor Troy have their testimony, even if your spouse has done things that have made you not trust them, you can trust God. Follow his word. Get his word in you. Obey his word. Stay out of the iniquity, the anomia. Trust him to lead and guide. He will put you where you need to be. He'll do what needs to be done in your home. And you will be in his firmament of protection. family firmament, right? While he's working on your husband. So trust in God. Adorn themselves being in subjection unto their own husbands, even as Sarah obey Abraham, calling him Lord, whose daughters ye are as long as you do well and are not afraid with any amazement. You know, there are things you are not supposed to be abused. You're not supposed to be, you know, you're not supposed to be abused. You know, I do know situations where there was abuse and yes, I you don't live in that. So, we go on first Peter 3:7 says, "Likewise, ye husbands, dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife, and that honor there value esteem, especially of the highest degree, thing prized, precious." Right? When you heard Gary giving his testimony, parts of his testimony, you you see how precious his wife was to him. You know, you can have that now. Let the Lord change your heart because that's how you're supposed to see your wife, right? Um, likewise your husbands dwell with them according to knowledge, giving honor unto the wife, as unto the weaker vessel, and as being heirs together of the grace of life, that your prayers may be not hindered. This is a biggie. If you're a Christian man, you do not want your prayers hindered, right? Um, this is why you need to know the word. Something's off in your home, go back and check this. Are you obeying this? Are you doing this? Or are your prayers being hindered? The title of I I put the titles that were on my Bible, rules for Christian households. Wives, submit yourselves unto your own husbands as it is fit in the Lord. This is repetitive, but
there's a reason. Wives, submit yourselves. Husbands, love your wives and be not bitter against them. Which means there will be opportunities for you to be bitter against your wife. Don't do it. Right? Forgive, forgive, forgive, love, love, love. Children, children in the back. Obey your parents in all things, for this is well pleasing unto the Lord. Obey. We we each have a role in the Christian marriage. I mean Christian family. Um servants obey in all things your masters according to the flesh. Not with eye service as men pleasers but in singleness of heart fearing God. And whatsoever you do it heartily as to the Lord. There we are again. Do it heartily as to the Lord and not unto men, knowing that of the Lord you shall receive the reward of the inheritance. For ye serve the Lord Christ. Get that in your mind. Your marriage is a way of serving the Lord. When you do it right, you're obeying and serving the Lord. And you're also an example to the people around you. And oh, do we need those examples, right? Oh, even in the church even. But he that doeth wrong shall receive for the wrong which he hath done, and there is no respect in persons. Colossians 3:18-2. And I'm going to throw this one in here for parents, even though this is not a parenting seminar. Proverbs 22:15, foolishness is bound in the heart of a child, but the rod of correction shall drive it far from him. This is biblical parenting, right? This is this is biblical parenting. If you think that this is too harsh, then you're not obeying God's word, and that's sin. So, how serious does the Lord u take proper family order? He takes it so seriously that you can't be in leadership if you don't do it right. Right. So 1 Timothy 3:4-5 says, "One that ruleth his uh if you're going to be a bishop, you have to be one that ruleth well his own house, having his children in subjection with all gravity. For if a man know not how to rule his own house, how shall he take care of the church of God?" And then to be a deacon, 1 Timothy 3:11-12 says, "Even so must their wives be grave, not slanderers, sober, uh, faithful in all things. Let the deacons be the husbands of one wife, ruling their children and their own houses well. I mean, he takes it very, very
seriously and you should, too. It's a command. These are commands. These are not if if you're in a marriage and you have not been loving your wife as Christ loves the church, then you're in sin. I mean, that's what it boils down to. You are in sin. You're you're just flat out in sin. And a lot of the sin is this. I've used this slide. I because it just really brings home. For rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft, and stubbornness is in as iniquity and idolatry. Because thou hast rejected the word of the Lord, he hath also rejected thee from being king. 1st Samuel 15:23. Rebellion is as the sin of witchcraft. Our homes are full of witchcraft. And I'm not just talking about Disney, you know. Um, Christian homes are full of witchcraft. I can't tell you how many um good Christian families with wives and husbands who go to church every Sunday pretend that they have the proper family order, but you you discern immediately that that wife is pulling all the strings. He's a puppet. You know, he shows up for his church service, but she's ruling the roost, right? Um, rebellion, stubbornness is that as iniquity. Iniquity, that's what kept the people out of the dinner, the supper, right? Stubbornness. It's not a good quality. No matter what they tell you on TV, stubbornness is not a good quality. Um, and idolatry. Can I tell you the biggest idol we have is ourselves. And especially in marriage, well, it's, you know, you do this for me. Da da da da. me me. Um, so we cannot we cannot have this. You won't make it to the marriage supper. You might not make it. I can't say you won't. But you better repent today, right? Because we're not promised tomorrow. You better repent today and get your house in order. We're coming to the end times. There's not going to be time for all of a sudden, oh, let's hurry quick. Let's get in unity. What did the Bible say to do? Wait, what? You know, now you better start working it now so that when you know who hits the fan, you're going to be a team side by side, holding hands, ready to go, moving left, moving right together, able to discern the voice of the Lord together, right? Will you make it to the suffering? Will you make it? And and we're talking a whole room full of Christians, people who love Jesus, but we're not guaranteed. Matthew 7:21-23, not everyone that saith unto
me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but he that doeth the will of my father which is in heaven. What is his will? I just read you a bunch of it, right? He left it for us. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils, and in thy name done many wonderful works, and them will I profess unto them, I never knew you. Depart from me, ye that work iniquity, and no man, right? Marriage seminars can be cutesy and fun, but it really just boils down to you're a Christian. You say you love God. Are you obeying him? Are you doing his commands? Are you loving your spouse like you're supposed to? Are you obeying your spouse like you're supposed to? Um, it's a serious thing. It's not cutesy. I mean, it really can. It can be a heaven or hell thing. It's an eternity thing. Your marriage is a serious matter for God if you choose God's will for your marriage. And like I said, we just read what his will for your marriage is. We read it. You know it. You're responsible for it now. But if you do choose his way instead of your way, then like we've said before, and I promise you, we didn't even know, none of us knew, you know, what we were presenting. But behold, how good and how pleasant it is for brethren to dwell together in unity. It is like the precious ointment upon the head that ran down upon the beard, even Aaron's beard, that went down to the skirts of his garment, as the dew of Herman, and as the dew that descended upon the mount mountains of Zion. For there the Lord commanded the blessing, even life forever more. He commands a blessing, right? The Lord commands a blessing. Psalm 133 1-3. When you are in unity, when you're in unity with your spouse, there's an anointing, there's a blessing, right? There's you hear more of the Lord's voice, right? Because you're not hearing the demons in your own voice. Um, you're able to go to church. And picture this. What if all of these marriages get in unity and then you go to a church service where you're already in unity with your spouse and everybody else is there in unity. What kind of anointing can drop on that? Right. Yeah. the anointing. That's what brings it right there. Coming together. Matthew 18:19 says, "Again, I
say unto you that if two of you shall agree on earth as touching anything that they shall ask, it shall be done for them of my father which is in heaven." You You know, you want your prayers answered. You want blessing in your life. It's not it's not a name that and claim it thing, but the word is true, right? Come into agreement with your spouse instead of going the opposite direction. And I read a book years ago. I don't even remember the name of it, but the only thing I remember from it is this line. And it just stuck with me because I I think of it often. You know, we all have choices. Life is a choosing. You're going to choose to love your spouse. You're going to choose not to love your spouse. You're going to choose what you do in life. You're going to choose to obey the word or not obey the word. You have that choice. Life is a choosing. Every little choice that you make. If you go forth from today and you decide, you know what? I'm going to change things. and you choose tomorrow to get up and pray with your spouse or you choose tomorrow to figure out, you know, what what blesses them, what's their love language. And you choose to do all of these little things, all of these little choices, they paint the big picture of where what direction your marriage is going. But the Lord wants to give us this choice today as we go forth. Deuteronomy 30 15-20 this is the choice he says see I have set before thee this day life and good and death and evil in that I command thee this day to love the Lord thy God to walk in his ways and to keep his commandments and his statutes and his judgments that thou may live and multiply and the Lord thy God shall bless thee in the land whether thou goest to possess message. But if thine heart turn away, so that thou wilt not hear, but shall be drawn away and worship other gods and serve them. And in your marriage, that can be all kinds of things, yourself, your job, your activities, your children, your parents. So if you turn away and are drawn away to other things, I denounce unto you this day that you shall surely perish, and that ye shall not prolong your days upon the land, whether thou passest over Jordan, to go to possess it. I call heaven and earth to record this day against you, that I have set before you life and death, blessing and cursing. Therefore, choose life, that thou both thou and thy seed may live. What you do in your marriage will affect generations to come. If you have children, it will affect them. It will
affect your grandchildren. So that both thou and thy seed may live. That thou mayest love the Lord thy God, and that thou mayest obey his voice, and that thou mayest cleave unto him, for he is thy life. He is thy life. and the length of thy days that thou mayest dwell in the land which the Lord swear unto thy fathers to Abraham, Isaac, to Jacob and to give them. So that's basically what Pastor Dean said. Are you going to be a doer or you just going to be a hearer? But be ye doers of the word and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. That's when you're really in danger. Is when you're deceiving your own self, right? Be a doer. Life is a choosing. You're going to either choose to battle each other or you're going to be battle ready. You're going to equip yourself with the word. You're going to put on the armor of God. You're going to walk side by side. You're going to be fighting side by side with the anointing which will make all the difference in your life. It really will. And so that's that's what the Lord put on my heart to share with you is be doers. Don't just come to this seminar to fellowship, to get away from the kids, you know, all of these. These are nice things, but you got equipped and you need to do it. All right. It did no good if you come here and you go back home and do the same job and and end up not at the marriage supper of the lamb because God has charged y'all with making your marriage work. Now, I do have some homework for you. Go to the dnodle.org board videos by topic. There are two messages that are very important. Some of them will go through some of the scripture, but some will also talk about how the enemy is working in your marriage and how you can further become battle ready to fight the enemy and to endure to the end. So, family, God's family plot.org. org videos by topic, Pastor Nancy Odel, God's Family Plan, and Battle Ready. All right, listen to those. It's not because I did them. I really don't even like speaking, but it's because the Lord had me do them and they're important. It's cuz you got to get your words in. No, you
don't. And then I'll invite my husband. That's the end. [Applause]
