well everyone i hope you have your bibles this morning i want you to take your bibles and turn to matthew chapter 26 first of all um you know uh the lord knows ahead of time about in the last i don't know starting about three weeks ago i knew the lord was going to have me get on a series again on spiritual warfare um because i i think that i think even though i've taught on some of those things uh to this group as a church um i just think there's some more things we need to delve into and some things we need to understand and i may go to some things today that maybe uh might seem a little strange for spiritual warfare but they're principles that you need to understand um you know and before we get to matthew 26 and we start getting into this you know i don't understand why you know there are many churches many denominations many bible schools even seminaries they don't teach on spiritual warfare they don't teach on you know teach the believer how they are to deal with demon spirits and oppression and witchcraft and attacks and things that that come against us and you know they'll talk about well you just pray just read the word you know just go to church or worship very general things but not specific things and then as you know i've taught some of you and many of you've read good books on spiritual warfare as well about you know the weapons of our warfare like binding and loosing and casting down our imaginations and thoughts that are against the knowledge of god and and putting on the armor and and all those things that we may cover some of that but um there there's aspects of this that uh we need to get a hold of and i because because i don't want to ever give the impression that if you are a godly believer and and you're doing everything you ought to do that you get the idea that you know i'm not going to go through anything or i shouldn't go in through anything or if i go through something that you know if i go through a time of heaviness or a time of depression or oppression or if i go through you know a time of sickness or a time of trial that because you go to a church like ours that believes in casting out demons and resisting the devil and dealing with that part or we believing that jesus still heals sometimes people can get under condemnation that if they go through something well i just don't have enough faith or i don't have enough knowledge or you know or i don't and truly i'll say this i don't want to ever give the impression that that pastor dean doesn't go through some things warfare is intense how many of you know jesus the bible teaches that jesus lived a sinless perfect life amen all right he was god in the flesh he was fully god fully man
paul said it was a mystery was hard to grasp behold of that god became man and yet he was tempted the bible says in all points like we are yet without sin right that's what the book of hebrews chapter 4 says he was tempted in all points but now let me say this this is what's the mystery what's so so interesting he was god in the flesh and yet he was man and if the temptations were real then it means there had to be the possibility for him to sin right so he had to resist those temptations and he had to walk holy and he did it for us because he knew none of us would do it perfectly so jesus had to walk that path as a man resist all temptation live holy and become that pure sacrifice on the cross for us or we would have no hope and thank god he did amen but what is beautiful about jesus being god and man at the same time is that he went through things that we would go through he went through seasons of temptation he went through seasons of spiritual warfare he went through seasons of of breakthrough and peace and miracles but he also went through seasons of attack um even to the point of it bringing about his death and that's something that we don't you know we don't like to talk about the bad side but there were times that jesus in his flesh felt the heavy heavy oppression of the enemy and it was hard for him to deal with and and that's what i think i i get a little frustrated with some charismatics and pentecostals out here in this world who you know they they want to parade around that the devil is defeated and like like he's gone away like jesus has locked him up forever and and if you're a believer you live victorious you never have a problem with the devil and he has no power but you know the bible never said that the devil after the cross that the devil has no power do you know that in fact jesus said i give you power over the power of the enemy so the enemy has power and if the enemy afflicted jesus or attacked jesus in certain ways tempted him oppressed him attacked him i want to say this to you i don't care how perfect and holy and godly and disciplined a believer you are if you walk with god for any amount of time if you're doing anything for god if you're doing anything in prayer anything serious for god you will go through seasons of intense attacks dad and i is my dad here this morning dad and i were talking about you know 2011 was a very rough year for them it was a rough year for us for some of you it's been a very rough year paul talked about you know the really the last seven years for paul and his family has been very very rough
2011 has been has been really been a tough year for a lot of us a lot of people are having financial problems job problems um health problems uh mental and and depression issues and fear issues and there's a whole lot of things going on that you know the bible told us too in the last days men's hearts would be failing them for fear that there would be an issue with fear and oppression okay so this morning i just want to go as we as we started and this is going to be a series on spiritual warfare and i think it's going to be unlike maybe anything you've heard um because we're going to go into david and and to abraham and to a lot of things a lot of people don't think that they lived spiritual warfare in the old testament but they did but we're going to look at that but i want you to see some of the things jesus went through what he said and realized you're going to go through seasons of this and we'll talk about it but matthew 26 this ought to be familiar to everyone here um oh let's see where we're going to start reading here we're going to go down to verse 36 where jesus entered the garden of gethsemane um i'm going to start in the garden of gethsemane but i'm going to back up before in a minute go back to john before they right before they got to the garden of gethsemane and show you what jesus said well let's read this verse 36 it says then cometh jesus with them unto the place called gethsemane and he saith unto his disciples sit you here while i go and pray yonder and he took with him peter and the two sons of zebedee that would be james and john and began to be sorrowful and very heavy now you ought to underline that you mean jesus became sorrowful and very heavy there it is right there you see it just underline that and remember that for a second all right and he says he took the sons uh peter and the two sons of zebedee zebedee and then began to be sorrowful and very heavy now this was in the spirit this was in his spirit and his emotions this was a spiritual heaviness an emotional it caused an emotional sorrow to come on him and listen to what he said here in verse 38. verse 38 he said this unto them my soul is exceeding sorrowful even unto death tarry ye hear and watch with me or pray with me and he said he went a little farther and fell on his face and prayed saying oh my father if it be possible let this cup pass for me nevertheless not as i will but as thou wilt and he cometh unto the disciples and findeth them asleep and he saith unto peter what could you not watch with me one hour watch and pray that you enter not into temptation the spirit indeed is willing
and the flesh is weak now many people you know they just attribute this sometimes to the the the weight of the world that was beginning to come on jesus as he was beginning to take on him the sins of mankind but i want to back up for a second because i don't i don't really now believe that to be so because the bible said he became sin for us on the tree he had to be hung on the tree to become the curse and to become sin for us and there was a moment he became sin and it says that the father actually turned his face away and jesus said the words why have you forsaken me right so there was a moment there that jesus literally the holy spotless lamb of god became sin for us he didn't sin but he became it he took it all upon himself for you and me for every person okay but this was something different here what he was beginning to experience here was the warfare of the devil to stop him from doing what god wanted him to do this is why he prayed the prayer father not my will but yours be done and he struggled with this prayer and because he knew what was coming he knew what he had to do was going to be the most difficult thing that he would ever do and this is so i don't believe this is where sin began to come on him and the reason why let's go back go back to um go to john chapter 14. this is right before this is right before he went to the garden of gethsemane this was at the last supper and this was his last words really before the garden of gethsemane and all that happened because you know what happened right after the garden of gethsemane who showed up judah showed up with the soldiers and jesus was arrested and he was taken and and from then on it was it was pretty much done him teaching and talking to his disciples until after his resurrection so we're going to see that it's warfare that that came about let's go to john 14 and we'll start reading um well we'll go to verse 23 just to give it some context verse 23 jesus answered and said unto him or judah well let's back up to 22 that'll give you some better kind says judah saith unto him not iscariot lord how is it that you will manifest yourself unto us and not into the world and jesus answered and said unto him if a man loved me he will keep my words and my father will love him and we will come unto him and make our abode with him well that's good right there isn't it that's just we could just preach on that in church every day across america and maybe folks understand something
if a man loves me he will keep my words and my father will love him and we will come unto him and make our abode with him he that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings and my word which you hear is not mine but the father which sent me these things have i spoken unto you being yet present with you but the comforter which is the holy ghost whom the father will send in my name he will teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever i have said unto you peace i leave with you my peace i give unto you not as the world gives give i unto you let not your heart be troubled neither let it be afraid you have heard how i said unto you that i go away and come again unto you if you loved me you would rejoice because i said i go unto the father for my father is greater than i and now i have told you before it come to pass that when it has come to pass you might believe now look at these next verses he says these words to his disciples right before he goes to gethsemane hereafter i will not talk much with you for the prince of this world cometh and hath nothing in me but that the world may know that i love the father as the father has given me commandment even so do i arise let us go hence so jesus plainly said right before he went to gethsemane the prince of this world is coming that's satan ephesians 2 calls him the prince and the power of the air that's a term for satan he said the prince of this world comes and he has nothing in me meaning he doesn't have a place to attack me and this is for anyone you may be as dedicated and living for god as you possibly can and it does not mean that the prince of this world is not going to come and attack you amen not what you want to hear but it's a fact of life spiritual warfare of the devil of demons is a fact of life we don't like it and we don't like to have to confront it and deal with it sometimes i know even even even with what i know about spiritual warfare nancy will tell you this sometimes i am so oppressed i am so attacked and i am so weary i don't even want to say the words out of my mouth to bind and resist the devil in jesus name because it's the the oppression sometimes gets so great and the attack gets so great it's just you know you would rather crawl in a hole somewhere than deal with it anybody ever felt that way besides me i felt that way many many times um you know jesus i i can't even hardly fathom though i know that he doesn't let any of us maybe
feel what he felt completely but for him to say the prince of this world is coming to attack me and then later as he moves into the garden in gethsemane he says my soul is exceedingly sorrowful even unto death you know what that means you ever been so oppressed and depressed and discouraged or disappointed or just beat down so overwhelmed in your spirit and your emotions that you were just like it would feel better just to be dead and i believe that's what jesus said it just lord wipe take me out of here anybody ever said that i know a few of you have you don't have to raise your hand tell on yourself but that's the kind of warfare we face y'all you don't go through the christian life or even if you're not a christian you're not going to walk in this world and not have the prince of this world and his demonic forces attacking you oppressing you trying to to make you sorrowful unto death trying to make you discouraged and disappointed with life and people trying to separate you from people i mean you think about this think about what you know jesus was crying out y'all pray with me what do they do fall asleep fall asleep and you know in another place it says that they were sorrowful they were feeling the warfare amen now when it comes to this of course jesus i believe jesus prayed in the garden of gethsemane until he prayed through he just kept praying until he prayed through and it says he did it three different times he went and prayed the same prayer three times now it doesn't tell us how long this lasted it doesn't tell us how much he everything that he said but we just have a picture of jesus wrestling with this demonic attack right before he went to the cross and we know that all of this surrounding the cross even though it was god's will for him to go to the cross that that satan it was satan who was inciting the the crowds and the mob and it was satan who was doing everything to push judas to betray him it said satan entered him and made jude judas went to betray him and and it said you know all the mob turned against jesus i mean one week they're praising him as he comes in to jerusalem hosanna the son of david hosanna in the highest they're worshiping him he's healing the sick and the lame in the temple one week later the crowd is crying crucify him that shows you the demonic power and influence that came over really the whole the whole city of jerusalem and
over the religious leaders and over even people who at one point had been praising him people turn on you too all right we're going to get under that talk about about words but i want you to see that the crowd and you you can go back matter of fact let's go over to corinthians i'll show you this verse first corinthians first corinthians chapter 2 i believe it is [Music] well it might be good if i went to first corinthians 2 and not second corinthians 2. i really didn't plan on going to this verse here but second corinthians are you there first corinthians chapter 2 and this is just so good i'm going to start reading at verse 1 paul said here and i brother when i came to you came not with excellency of speech or of wisdom declaring unto you the testimony of god for i determine not to know anything among you save jesus christ and him crucified and i was with you in weakness and in fear it and much trembling and my speech in my preaching was not with the enticing words of man's wisdom but in a demonstration of the spirit and power that your face should not stand in the wisdom of men but in the power of god he says how be it we speak wisdom among them that are perfect yet not the wisdom of this world nor of the princes of this world that come to naught he's talking about demonic wisdom the princes of this world he's talking about demonic princes and he lets you know but we speak the wisdom of god in a mystery even the hidden wisdom which god ordained before the world unto our glory look at verse 8 which none of the princes of this world knew for had they known it they would not have crucified the lord of glory it was a satanic plot to crucify jesus and yet god used the satanic forces knowing in advance long before he ever created man that man in the demonic forces he would let them bring about his will in the crucifixion of jesus amen say this god says everything was created by him and for him doesn't he he even uses the devil to bring about his will and god sometimes will use the devil he'll let the devil do things in our lives he'll let the devil bring an attack of oppression he'll let the devil sometimes and and if you think i'm i'm making this up what is the story of job i mean the story of job is really one of the earliest discussions we have of spiritual warfare job was living for god job was a righteous man job did not sin with his lips he was as righteous as a man could
be i mean not sinless of course there's no sinless man but jesus but as righteous as a man could be and and the bible says that god obviously answered his prayer because the devil said you know you put a hedge about him i can't touch anything he has and job was diligent in prayer and he and job was diligent to do the offerings and the sacrifices the things that he knew to do and he would do that and apply the blood of the sacrifices over his household and the devil said i can't touch him i can't touch him you put a hedge about everything he has all of his property his children over his home you you you're protecting everything but the devil goes through that arguing saying let me let me take from him let me take some stuff let me do some stuff to him and he will curse you to your face god god said go ahead but we don't like that do we and it was intense i mean we get the hint from the book of job that job knew his children his adult children were not living for god he said les you know he was he would do those sacrifices and he'd say lest they've cursed god in their hearts i think job's adult children weren't living for god i know some godly parents that's got kids that don't live for god right we all seen that in this world right but god says okay let him attack his health his children he lost everything he had job was so job became so sorrowful and so oppressed that he said he he wished he had never been born he wanted to die that is reality of the kind of warfare we face sometimes amen i heard a preacher a well-known preacher this week i mean he's probably i won't name his name right now but he's one of the most he's probably one of the most famous or get becoming one of the most famous within the charismatic church world right now but it's almost like as if the devil doesn't exist we're so victorious in jesus and we're so overcomers and we're so powerful and we have so much authority and power as believers that the devil can't do anything and that we're we're so powerful and blessed we're gonna we're going to bring about the kingdom of god on earth we're going to take over the world for jesus and we're going to take over the government we're going to take over the arts and we're going to take over music and we're going to make we're we're as the church going to create the kingdom of god and jesus can just come back and say y'all did a good job he even said the words i refuse to accept any eschatology which is a term fancy seminary term for end time study
of end time events or end time prophecy he even said i refuse to accept any theology that says the devil has any power or that takes away he said takes away the future of my children or blah blah and i'm sitting here going and i listen to his podcast where he just completely decimated uh daniel chapter 7 and just destroyed it just took it all out of context and created his own doctrines and i just sat there going wow you know the issue is do we have power as believers now you all know i believe this i'm not trying to talk up the devil this morning in jesus christ the born-again believer has been given authority and power to deal with the devil amen but does that mean we always know what to do and how to handle the attacks that come perfectly we're still learning we're still growing we're you know we grow in different levels of of understanding and we and the devil doesn't always bring the same attacks does he i mean if he did the same thing every time it'd be easy right sometimes it you know it's just it's all kind of different things i mean i could go through the list but all kinds of different attacks sometimes god lets some of them stay for a little while sometimes we bind the devil and we resist the devil and he flees from us sometimes we pray and it is gone immediately but sometimes it doesn't sometimes we have to keep wrestling sometimes there's a season of fighting you know most most seminary or most theologians believe that job's trial was anywhere from nine months to a year that he was in that intensity of it and you know a lot of people forget that you know when god finally came in and restored job and restored his his family or you know restored his possessions and his health and and finally came in and did the miracles we forget though he didn't get those children back did he and you know job you know sometimes god lets the devil wound us and and we're not you know we get through it and we overcome it but we're not always the same afterwards i know this with my ankle i still walking with a limp you know god didn't do this but he didn't stop it either right and god used it for good though and god used it for good in job's life this i know and i'm going to say this this morning there will be in your life times and seasons where the prince of
this world and his in his powers his demonic powers will come with great force and ferocity i mean and try you sorrowful unto death try to stamp you out mentally emotionally physically financially every way possible and see i believe this war that we're seeing in the spirit realm is going to intensify in the days ahead i think we have scripture for that as well matter of fact let's go to revelation 12 for a second y'all don't mind this do you this morning i'm gonna get into the technical aspects of things in the weeks ahead of spiritual warfare you know it's kind of like you know you boot camp for a soldier you learn how to use your weapon clean your weapon learn how to use your grenades learn how to use your you know all your equipment and that's good and then the battlefield a live battle situation is a little different right doesn't always go as planned on the battlefield right but you at least need to know how everything works right before you you know the more you know how to use your weapons and the better you know how to fight the better you will be on the battlefield you know the better your training the better you'll be so we're gonna we're backing up we're gonna train hard on this okay because i believe god's gonna use you guys to train others amen that's the purpose of it you know i had a prophecy over me je may prophesied over me in 1989 he said you will train others he you said you will train people basically in spiritual warfare and they will train many others so it's something that god always has me come back to and and you know what i know enough about people to know you didn't get it the first time around some of you are learning things you're growing in things you're doing things you didn't do before but it's time to reinforce those things so where did i tell you to turn revelation 12. i just said a minute ago that this is gonna i believe this warfare in the heavens in the spirit realm the bible says that it's going to intensify because actually everything that's going on if if you think what's going on now in the heavens and in the spirit world is bad the lord tells us it's going to get worse right before the end let's read this revelation 12 um oh let's see goodness let's start reading at um let's just read verse one we'll start reading it verse one and it says and there appeared a great wonder in heaven a woman clothed with the sun and the moon under her feet and upon her head a crown of twelve stars
now this is a vision of course of israel and jesus being born it says she being with child cried travailing in birth and pain to be delivered and there appeared another wonder in heaven behold a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns and seven crowns upon his heads and his tail drew the third part of the stars of heaven and did cast them to the earth and the dragon stood before the woman which is ready to be delivered for to devour her child as soon as it was born this is this is kind of a vision or picture of really the god's plan of the ages here the woman israel with the crown of 12 stars the child that she brought forth which it says here and she brought forth a man child in verse 5 brought forth a man child who was to rule all nations with a rod of iron and her child was caught up unto god into his throne we know that was jesus child was born through israel that would rule the nations he was called up to god he will return that's what the book of revelation is about him returning and then it says here verse six and the woman fled into the wilderness where she has a place prepared of god that they should feed her there a thousand two hundred and three score days which is three and a half years but look at verse seven in this time period where it talks about there's three and a half years so about the midpoint of the last seven years it talks about a spiritual war going on not just the not just the things going on the earth but a spiritual war and it says there was war in heaven michael and his angels fought against the dragon and the dragon fought and his angels and prevailed not neither was their place found anymore in heaven and the great dragon was cast out that old serpent called the devil and satan which deceives the whole world he was cast out into the earth and his angels were cast out with him now i heard a loud voice saying in heaven now has come salvation and strength and the kingdom of our god and the power of his christ for the accuser of our brother and his cast down which accused them before our god day and night so at some point here's where there's this war going on in heaven and right at this midpoint of the last seven years it says the devil is finally cast out of the heavens well why is he talking about that because we see it with job we see it in luke 22 with peter the devil has access to go before the throne of god to to petition to attack the saints of god he accuses us of things maybe some true some not but he accuses us and tries to get permission to attack us that's the that's the area of warfare in which we live sometimes he is denied permission to attack us sometimes he is allowed permission to attack us or give him permission and he attacks but that's what goes on in the spirit realm in the heavens that's why the the bible calls him the prince and power the air that's why it's called principalities and powers and wicked spirits in high places god permits him to approach his throne
and petition but god says at this point at the end he's getting thrown out of heaven sounds good but it's not because he's going somewhere else and he's going to really focus right and this is what it says let's keep going they talked about how we're going to overcome satan we're going to get in this and they overcame him by the blood of the lamb thank god amen if we confess our sins he is faithful and just forgive us of our sins and cleanse us from all righteousness but i like the verses right before that in 1st john it says this it says if we walk in the light as he is in the light we have fellowship one with another and the blood of jesus christ his son cleanses us from all sin if we walk in the light if we walk in the light if we confess our sins he will cleanse us so we overcome satan by the blood of the lamb by the word of our testimony the things that come out of our mouths and it says and they love not their lives unto death meaning we don't love our lives in this world more than than following jesus now look at verse 12 though therefore rejoice ye heavens and ye that dwell in them why because the devil's out but woe to the inhabitants of the earth and of the sea for the devil is come down unto you having great wrath because he knows that he has but a short time now i'm going to stop right there because there's so much more we need to talk about but i just want you to see the concept there's this war going on in heaven the devil is going before the throne of god accusing you of things he is trying to get permission to attack sometimes he gets permission sometimes he doesn't that still doesn't stop his attacks he will still try to attack god intervenes many times for us that we don't see but god wants us to take up the authority and weapons that we have binding and loosing putting on the armor resisting the devil he wants us to do the things we know we should do but god wants us to know that hey there's coming today and i believe soon the devil is going to be cast down to the earth you know what's interesting about this particular passage it tells us when this happens it happens at the midpoint of the last seven years do you know what else happens at the midpoint of the last seven years the antichrist goes crazy he goes from this moderate peaceful man of peace that's just deceiving people into following him into this maniac that wants to take over jerusalem and kill all the jews and kill all the christians and make everybody take a mark and make everybody worship him oh you think what happens i think the devil comes down he's when he's cast out of heaven and enters the antichrist then that's my opinion but he said whoa you think you think it was bad before he's going to make it as much of a hell on earth as he can see i believe this warfare that we're going through now
is to prepare us to stand in the days ahead but also a lot of people who are now prisoners of war of the devil need us amen they need us to learn how to set them free through prayer and fasting and attacking so here's the key no matter where no matter how bad the attack gets listen to me close no matter how bad the attack gets no matter how long it lasts i've gone through some that lasted years if you hang on to the lord if you stay close to him if you keep pressing like jesus did in prayer in gethsemane if you keep pressing into him and standing even when it looks like you're standing is not getting you anywhere if you keep standing and holding on to jesus and his word if you keep resisting the devil if you keep pleading the blood if you keep confessing your sins and repenting if you keep on fighting you will win the war because the whole design of the attack is to get you to fall away to get you angry at god disappointed with god like like david preached last last day to get you upset with god or to get you upset with people in the church or your pastor or to get you offended somehow or the the whole thing is to get you away from god and the things that will make you a strong christian the devil wants to take people down that is his goal he wants to steal kill and destroy he wants to get people away from a relationship with jesus christ he wants to get people away from what will get them not only to overcome in this life but get them to heaven that's what he is trying to do how many of you know what i'm talking about don't the attacks that come try to get you number one they'll try to get you to not pray try to get you to not worship try to get you to not go to church try to get you to be offended with somebody try to get you to to be upset or angry at somebody or even at god every attack has this purpose to turn you against god and every single one does that's that's what the thing was with job what did the devil say let me touch him and he'll curse you to your face he'll turn against you
you know we watched the movie last night courageous that was a great movie anybody seen that yet if you hadn't you need to see it especially men you need to see that one it's really good but one of the things i thought was you know there were many different stories and working together within that movie but you know one of them the main character his his nine-year-old daughter was killed in a car accident i know i'm blowing it for some of you but i got to share this but the thing about it and i was like wow i've never heard anybody say that this preacher his pastor said this does that mean i can't imagine going through that kind of pain job did you know i know trey's not here this morning but he's been through that i can't even imagine that kind of pain but that pastor looked at him and he said this he said you can either be grateful for the time you had with her or you can be angry at the time you're going to miss see every attack its purpose is to turn you against god just remember that every temptation every lie every oppression every everything is to get you to turn against god and the bible tells us that in the end in the last days many will be offended turn with me go to go to matthew 24. [Music] and there's so many verses about this but in a last day context are you with me matthew 24 what will be the signs of your coming the end of the world and jesus starts giving him those things and look at verse 10 and then shall many be offended and shall betray one another and shall hate one another and many false prophets shall rise and deceive many and because iniquity shall abound the love of many shall wax cold but he that shall endure unto the end the same shall be saved what is the context there what is the attack he's talking about offense and deception will take away many and the love the word in the greek there is agape love which is the only the only way you have can have agape love is that the holy spirit puts it in your heart so it's only a christian can obtain that and it says the love the agape love of many will grow cold because iniquity or sin is abounding people are offended with god and you know what it doesn't
just say offended with people see i honestly believe there are many people walking around many christians walking around that they went through something they lost something they they got hurt they got offended they got you know something happened maybe they lost a loved one maybe you know god didn't heal someone or or you know when they wanted or whatever all these things and they got offended not you know maybe they they're blabbing their mouth at their pastor but really deep down the offense and the anger is with god god did not fix this for me this is what the devil's after see if it can't get you through temptation to sin then it's going to be something to get you offended with god or somebody and sometimes these attacks will be intense maybe it's to get you so listen some of the attacks and i know this is where i started but jesus said exceedingly sorrowful unto death how many people are go through one of those times of sorrow and just depression and oppression and instead of hanging on to the lord they'll turn to alcohol to make himself feel better or go get a doctor to give them an antidepressant or go you know buy a drug somewhere or you know get get it in the sack with somebody something to try to make them make themselves feel better but god wants us to turn to him instead i'm going to get on some other things next week we're going to stop here i think let me sum it up like this you can be doing everything right for god like job like jesus and it does not mean you're going to be immune to attacks bethany you've even gone through some late i think he's got some crazy girl harassing her at school threatening her and everything else that didn't do anything to this girl it's unexplainable it's demonic is what it is and yeah she might be what she said you know demons speak and work through people then demons use people like the the devil's going to use the antichrist he's going to use people to do things but you you you can go through times
that you're so oppressed and so sorrowful and so discouraged that you don't want to even you don't want to go to church you don't want to pray you don't do anything i'm just telling you fight through it don't give in to it it doesn't mean that god has forsaken you or you're some scum or you've blown it or you you've upset god some way and he's left you that's that's not what it means did jesus leave leave the father and yet he still faced what terrible attack god said job did he say job had forsaken him no but job faced a terrible attack so did jesus overcome he even overcame what death amen did job overcome all right we can too amen let's pray thank you lord thank you lord father i thank you that there is power in the name of jesus that there is power in the blood of jesus i thank you that you've given us power and authority to resist the devil and his demon spirits you have given us power and authority to overcome by the blood of the lamb and the word of our testimony but lord you you didn't say we would never have an attack a problem a a an intense time of warfare you never said that we would be lord free of those things in this world we can go through them we can overcome them we can stand and make it through every attack of the devil because of the blood of jesus because of the name of jesus because of the holy spirit god you've put in us we just pray god that you will give us a wisdom to deal with every attack so that we don't become offended at you or other people and then and then turn away father we don't want to be become part of the falling away part of those who are deceived part of those who don't endure to the end and and not be saved god we want to be your people who you said you're looking for the overcomers those who overcome the devil overcome the temptations overcome the attacks overcome the sorrow overcome oh god all of the pain and the troubles of this world i pray for everyone in here lord that you will just give us strength spiritual emotional and physical strength lord to resist the devil to overcome to withstand and even at times when when it doesn't leave immediately having done all to stand we stand there for and we put on the armor and where our faith is strong in jesus and we refuse to fall away and to become one of the statistics of those who walked away or bless your people
