for we are standing we are standing in his presence Ono yes Lord we worship you this morning we thank you Lord your word declares where two or three are together together in your name that you are in the midst Lord we sent you here today your presence in a special way Lord we ask you to bless and move in this service Lord as you will as you see fit Lord I Thank you for your protection your uh guidance and direction in our lives Lord we thank you for all that you are doing Lord I Thank you I ask you to touch everyone here today those who are watching and listening we pray the Holy Spirit touch them in the mighty name of Jesus and everybody said amen well I want to welcome everyone you may be seated this morning wow we were missing half of you last week now we got everybody here today that's good because y'all got a special treat coming um I want to say this before we get started this morning because uh you know we get the haters out there when I do this uh but let me just inform you that when the Bible is speaking in 1 Corinthians 14 about women are to keep silent in the church and he suffer not a w woman to speak that has nothing to do with women teaching and preaching that has to do with wives and husbands uh the word if you look up the words in the original Greek it's wives and husbands and it would not make any sense for the Lord to say that in the last days your sons and your daughters will prophesy and 1 Corinthians 14 says the gift of Prophecy is for the church right the edification of the church correct so uh we know there was Phoebe and andronica and Junia and there were many women that God used and you know some of these guys that want to say that women should not speak to men I find it interesting that the Lord picked women to be the first to witness the empty tomb and to go back and preach that to the disciples to the apostles h of course they didn't listen like most men don't but it was true um my wife long before I met her I believe from a child that the Lord put his hand on her to be a minister of the Gospel of Jesus and she has proven that to be true and the messages that she brings only when she feels like it is truly the Lord speaking to her which is is a prophetic word to you okay so um if
you want to start that whole argument with me online today you will be banned all right because I'm just not tolerating it um it's just about nonsense whenever there's an apparent contradiction in the Bible you must figure out why it appears that way because it's usually something we don't understand and if you dig a little bit and study Show Yourself approved then you will figure it out and uh I've already figured it out so I don't need anybody that takes one passage out of its context and doesn't use all the verses because uh God does use women to minister to the church today so uh I'm going to invite my wife yes Pastor Nancy OD she is that but she is fully under my authority and she is a submissive wife and I just want to say that um there is no argument here about this amen amen yeah I got water so there I love my husband not just because of that um well and what he said is true I this is not something that I you know I'm not a big one to get up in front of everybody I'm usually the one behind the the scenes and I am so good with that I mean it doesn't bother me at all he doesn't even ever need to mention my name from here but um when the Lord says to to share something I'm G to share it how do I get this thing up um and this is what he's been putting on my heart the title of this is ungrateful Hearts um this has been going for a while but this past I guess it was this past Wednesday during prayer it really kind of Hit Me Harder and I started really looking into it and really praying about it in my own life every time I get up here I tell you this and I will tell you this from here on out everything that I bring to you is something that I'm applying or need to apply or have applied to my own life um and and this is this is one that we all have issues with if you say that you never have an issue with this and you also have an issue with lying probably um so ungrateful Hearts how many of you believe that we're living in the end times I do it looks like everybody all right well so what does the word say oh I didn't even do that look at that okay um what does what does the word say in second Timothy 3 1-5 about the end times if you want to turn there you can you can look at my slide um you can look at your phone as long as you're not texting or
Facebooking says this know also that in the last days perilous times shall come for men shall be lovers of their own selves Covetous boasters proud blasphemers disobedient to parents unthankful which is also ungrateful Unholy without natural affection truce Breakers false accusers incontinent Fierce despisers of those that are good traitors heady high-minded lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God having a form of godliness but denying the power thereof from such turn away you know there's a lot of really nasty things in this list I we can look at this and and go one by one and we know all of this is just ramped up in these These Days um you know just the the lovers of pleasure more than lovers of God I mean that's Christians that's us that's you know what are we doing when we're not worshiping God is it is it Facebook is it your TV is it your games your your um Sports is it friendships is it socializing what is it that you love that Pleasures you more than God but that's not even the one work disobedient to parents don't even get me on that one I mean that one is really the rebellion in our society is just unhinged just crazy but this this is what we're going to focus on the one that says unthankful ungrateful um one of the things that I think and I just mentioned it with the pleasures one of the things that I think that really um fuels this in our society I came across this article um and the title of of this article that this guy wrote was Envy addiction how using social media to make others jealous makes everyone miserable a't that the truth is't that the truth but it's not just you know it's coveting it's it's looking at other people's lives and thinking wow look at that I want that I'm you know I don't have enough my house isn't fancy enough do you see what they did with that Farmhouse theme I need a sliding barn door you know I mean it's just always wanting and wanting and wanting and I've used this before it's a Pinterest world you know you're always looking how can I improve my home how can I and oh my goodness now I don't know if it's because I order on Amazon but on Facebook the things that pop up from Amazon it's like oh wait I didn't even know I needed that but I'm pretty sure I do so let's click the link and oh add to cart all right it's there in three days
it well now it's three four five whatever they please um but but that's that's the thing we've become discontent we've become ungrateful we look at other people's lives or or we just spend all of our time on Facebook or Instagram or whatever else and we don't focus on what we have right in front of us you know what's the last time that you told your spouse I am so grateful for you I am so grateful for our marriage I am so grateful for our children you know a lot of us tend to let the stress get to us and we end up complaining complaining complaining I had to I really had to check my heart on this one because when God tells you something you don't need to be complaining about doing it you know it's just like a a teenager or a kid when you say you know go do the dishes okay that's what we look like to God um and then we get on oops wrong way I know it's gross but this is literally what we're doing you know um I I jokingly put put that that song next to it This Little Light of Mine I'm going to let it shine uh because is that what we're doing whenever we're presenting ourselves to the public um whenever we're getting on Facebook and thinking people have to bow down to what we like um no we're just puking on them we're puking our opinions everywhere we're puking our emotions everywhere um it's just a constant flood of us and that's what this all boils down to the discontent the ungratefulness it's it's selfishness it's us looking at us and thinking of us me me me me me um when we really are supposed to be eternally focused and we're supposed to be god- centered God focused we're supposed to be thinking of how we can shine our light but instead so we we've now been trained in a generation that our opinions should matter to everybody and we have no self-control we share them with everybody we you know don't realize what we have like here we have a we have a good church we really do and if anybody gets online and listens to our services we have a good pastor Pastor Dean preaches the word but can I tell you oh I keep going going the wrong way can I tell you how many comments like this we get people just can't control themselves this this person came on this
past week and said I can't tell if this is heretical fearmongering or not Lord give me discernment amen can I tell you God's not on Facebook reading your post if you want to pray to him pray to him you don't do it for everybody to see just to make your point you know and and this is something where we really really need to control ourselves and get back to the the respect and the um respecting Authority respecting places respecting the church respecting pastors um we don't I said here it's we're entitled that's what it is that's why we're ungrateful because we feel like we're entitled to everything it you're I'm entitled to shove my opinion down your throat I'm entitled to get on your Facebook page and vent you know let my emotions just spew all over you um no no we're not we're spoiled brats uh a lot of us I'm sorry not y'all in here but now y'all Matthew 12:33 through 37 says either make the tree good and his fruit good or else make the tree corrupt and his fruit corrupt for the tree is known by by his fruit we are supposed to be known by our fruit um oh Generation of Vipers how can ye being evil speak good things for out of the abundance of the heart the mouth speaketh so if you're speaking things like this or things about oh well you know that person and I need to I need to have that and then that's what's in your heart is discontent is ungratefulness is jealousy is eny um is covetousness a good man out of the good Treasure of the heart bringeth forth good things and an evil man out of the evil treasure bringeth forth evil things but I say unto you that Every Idle word that men shall speak Every Idle word that men shall speak they shall give account thereof in the day of judgment let should we pause that's one of those amen or oh me things uh for by thy words Thou shalt be justified and by thy words Thou shalt be condemned yeah somebody [Music] want yeah that I mean that's serious that's serious we need to get our hearts right we need to get our Focus right we need to get off of ourselves and this is the time we're living in the end times we've been warned about ungratefulness we have been warned warned as the body of Believers you know it shouldn't take us like a thief in the night we have a list of things we need to be watching for in our own lives not
pointing at other people but in our own lives and we need to be checking ourselves constantly for those things because as we get further along it's it's going to impact where you go quite honestly if you end up with an just ungrateful attitude you're going to go into the gutter I mean it's your life is going to go in the direction of your heart and I'm not sure about this guy but this is a very true quote a complaining tongue reveals an ungrateful heart and this is where God really oh got me bad is complaining complaining about things my husband doesn't do he does so many wonderful things y'all and I'm complaining about the things he doesn't do how he doesn't measure up um complaining about running for lieutenant governor doing it with a huff like a teenager that's where he really got me and I apologize for anybody in here that I you know when it was brought up that I was like roll in my eyes I mean really like a teenager no offense to the teenagers in here there's just certain things that happen rolling my eyes huffing going oh Lord yeah I don't want it but you know what God told me to do it God told him to do it you know we're a team and I'm here to support him and I'm not supposed to be supporting him with huffy and eyes and you know an attitude because that makes his job harder what he has to do what God has called him to do so what has God called you to do it may be move to another state some of you you know did you do it with a happy heart are you in you know holding your tongue and not complaining about the things that he's called you to do um it's very important it's very very important to do it with the right heart because God sees your heart it's not just your body relocating or it's not just your body going to run for lieutenant governor it's of you uh let's see I bet I'll do it the wrong way nope I did it the right way Colossians 32324 says and whatsoever ye do do it heartily as to the Lord and not unto men knowing that of the Lord you shall receive the reward of The Inheritance and ye serve uh for ye serve the Lord Christ and I've told women this because I think a lot of times stay-at-home moms they really you know suffer from the what ifs oh what if I was out in the world what if I didn't what if I didn't have to just wipe these snotty noses I
need to what if what if I you know could do this and that discontent and ungratefulness for where God has placed you shaping the lives the minds of mush as my husband says to become who God wants them to be what an important job that is and you do it not not even for the child not even for the husband not even for the home but you do it for the Lord and um we need to do everything doesn't matter if you're going to work if you have your own business you do it with Integrity you do it the best that you can because you are working for the Lord in everything you do when you go out to eat you tip as unto the Lord I mean I just pastor G said say that again I I've read some oh man you want to talk about some ungratefulness and some spew and puke get on your local Facebook group I mean one of the things recently I saw was they a door Dash person complaining but they were delivering in the snow and ice and I'm sorry but it was an absolute disaster here in Opa like in Auburn um and yes it was just a tiny bit of snow but it was a lot of ice they're delivering in the snow and got a $2 tip oh I hope that wasn't a Christian but you know what very well could be yeah when you do things do it as unto the Lord because he is watching and you're going to be accountable for it um Philippians 22 through 15 oop sorry wherefore my beloved as ye have always obeyed not as in my presence only but now much more in my absence work out your own salvation with fear and trembling for it is God which worketh in you both to Will and to do his good pleasure God is trying to work in you do all things without murmurings and disputings that ye may be blameless and harmless so you see see what he's connecting here do all things without murmurings and disputings that ye may be blameless and harmless the sons of God without rebuke in the midst of a crooked and perverse Nation key here among whom ye shine as lights in the world do we do we shine as lights in this crooked and perverse Nation I mean it's very very dark and we know that um Isaiah 60 says arise Shine for thy light has come and the glory of the Lord is risen upon thee for Behold The
Darkness shall cover the Earth and gross Darkness the people but the Lord shall arise upon thee and His glory shall be seen upon thee and the Gentiles shall come to thy light and Kings to thy brightness the brightness of thy Rising so we're supposed to attract other people to us as Christians as lights wherever we go whatever we're doing online in person it is supposed to be an attraction like a a moth to a light that's the way it's supposed to be um and we're supposed to I tell you you if you don't have the right attitude this part here the glory of the Lord shall be seen upon thee it won't be it won't be and this is an end times thing so you can stifle God in your life you can Embrace him and draw closer to him and Shine Your Light it's your choice and I'll tell you this it's a choice it's it it all starts here it's what's in your head it's your attitudes of me it's your attitudes of ungratefulness it's your attitudes of well why do they have that how come my life is not like that I promise this was somebody just talked to me about uh this being an issue and I'm I'm thinking wow lord it's not just me that's cool um it it's our thoughts and I this is like plaster this on your mirror at home this is what you're supposed to be thinking whatsoever things are true don't make stuff up in your head women stop whatsoever things are honest just pure lovely of good report if there be any virtue if there be any praise think on these things he says he's telling you what to think on are you being obedient I mean that's what it boils down to are you being obedient are you letting the devil run through your head or you letting your emotions get a just carry you off into crazyville um if we do this it will reflect when you think on it it will ref reflect in your life I can tell you what you're thinking on a lot of times it's what's coming out of your mouth or it's what's on your face it's what's in your attitude it's how you deal with
people and I'm I'm going to play a little video here and I think this is just this really touched me and I hope that it touches you it's I don't know it's not very long um make sure that the volume has turned up but you can tell what this woman is thinking on you can tell that she has a grateful heart and it's just mindblowing because this is this is in North Carolina where all of the flooding and Devastation Has September and they're still not on their feet not even close to it don't even have roads and bridges they're they're just still devastated because nobody with big money has come in and help them meaning the government um so we had uh only purchased in May and it's a big church we're a small congregation and I had people say what are you going to do with this big building and I said only God knows and we had our dedication in the storm came the next week and the outpouring of people my son brought the first load of supplies and from there I stayed there for about 3 months I slept on the floor for about 3 weeks because the need was so great the people were so devastated and U I said I want to be here for them and they were coming in just day and night so there's really no need for me to go home but we had people from Kentucky Tennessee Texas Indiana Oklahoma people from all over we have not received any help like from the government anything but I said Lord if you want us to do that people so they came from all all over the states Fe Fe did Wast of time and the locals and the people that that knew us and before the week was over our church was so packed with supplies we couldn't even we couldn't even walk Even in our Sanctuary was up to the platform of things and in our halls and in our rooms and we're just now beginning to get a little straightened out but somebody said how long are you going to be here I said I'm going to be here through the winter and even on if possible because when you meet people that's been through the struggle I had a little lady come up and uh I said can we do anything special for you and she said I don't want to be selfish but so could I have a cup of coffee coffee and I handed her that coffee and she stood there and tears just poured she said you don't realize how how important that the little things it's not the big things in life that we have
but it's the little things and and knowing that God is our source I don't look to man I don't have to have a lot of things I I had trees about 20 trees down in my yard but that didn't really matter doesn't matter because the needs of the people is what is what I want to be there for God is good he's very good and my daughter now she her house is really in bad shape and I'll let her tell you about that but thank you president this is our president we appreciate you so much amazing isn't it did it give you chills when she said God is good yes he is he is in the midst of Devastation and just another person talked about oh my goodness I think it was his mom he was helping through to get out and he said there's things you don't want to see there's going to be things you don't want to see there were dead bodies everywhere I mean that's what these people get and she says God is good in the midst of that whe that makes me teary so how do we cut out ungratefulness in our life that's the key I mean we all have it at times but how do we choose how do we change things how do we change ourselves so that it doesn't rear its ugly head so much well one thing that we can do is spend time with the Lord let the Holy Spirit fill us more and more and more get the fruit of the spirit you know love instead of the you know the feelings that rise up in us joy peace see that's what ungrateful PE people don't have they don't have peace they're always grasping at things to make them to try to break drink peace but we know who the Prince of Peace is well we just have to go to him that's it we just have to go to the Lord and get filled with the Holy Spirit um we had a song this morning and the these are the words I just love these words it says as long as I have breath in these lungs I'll tell of all the things that you've done if you never did another thing still I will sing is that true you know is it true or is our singing and praise based on what he does for us how well our life looks how much stuff we
have um you know your mercy Rises up with the dawn You Are My Strength and you are my song If you never did another thing still I will sing I'll sing of your greatness I'll sing of your majesty I'll sing of Salvation isn't that enough Jesus was beaten and died for us isn't that enough I'll sing of your greatness I'll sing of your majesty I'll sing of Salvation your love has rescued me I'm singing my heart out Jesus has Set Me Free Oh What A Savior oh what a victory are we singing our heart out I mean are we doing it as unto the Lord are we just doing it as a oh check first 30 minutes of church check we sung our songs we're good um once again it boils down to being entitled which means believing oneself to be inherently deserving of privileges or special treatment is that how you are with God are we entitled or do we owe him everything another way to get over the ungratefulness is do the opposite in everything give thanks for this is the will of God in Christ Jesus concerning you first Thessalon 1 Thessalonians 5:18 in everything everything everything it doesn't matter what it is this woman God is good in the midst of North Carolina being partially wiped out God is good give thanks she said I don't I don't need a lot you know she's she's grateful for the little bit that she has she's grateful for the people who showed up you know she's grateful for every life that came out of that even though there was a lot of death um in everything give thanks Make a Joyful Noise unto the Lord all ye land serve the Lord with gladness come before his presence with singing know ye that the Lord he is God it is he that hath made us and not we ourselves we are his people and the Sheep of his pastor that's what we need to realize we're his if you are a born again believer you are living for Jesus Christ we're his we're his sheep that's what we are we're sheep we do what he
says we go where he wants us to go we get in what barn he wants us to be in we eat what he we eat what he wants us to eat we hang out with the sheep that he wants us to hang out with and we do it with a good attitude have you ever seen a sheep with a bad attitude not good I've seen some of themm yeah farmer needs to nip that in the bud the rest of this goes enter into his gates with Thanksgiving and into his courts with praise be thankful unto him and bless his name for the Lord is good his Mercy is Everlasting his truth endureth to all generations we are to enter into his Gates what what does that mean come to him with Thanksgiving I tell you when you do that you will see a change in your life and it will affect other people and it's not always easy it's not you know you may be tired you may be you know irritated you may be whatever your spouse May irritate you choose to give thanks if you start doing that somebody online May irritate you pray for them and give thanks you know politicians irritate me but you know what the Lord has convicted me about my mouth because am I speaking life or death am I speaking curses on them am I am I contributing to their evilness not all politicians are evil just so you know we met some Born Again wonderful people but is your mouth contributing to a person's condition give thanks and pray for them and sometimes you have to slaughter or slay your flesh and do it Psalm 116:17 says I will offer to thee these sacrifice of Thanksgiving and will call upon the name of the lord it's not always fun fun it's not always fun it it's it's not what your flesh gravitates to because your flesh is going to gravitate to um complaining about your situation complaining about the people so it's time to step out of the boat and get get some practice and what do I mean I I love this picture because I don't know if they were praising God or not but you know we need to be like little children and let loose and really um be able to feel comfortable praising him thanking him um we had a prayer time here and um I knew y'all were going to come over here
Johnny and Julie that's why I didn't tell you I was preaching just teasing uh Johnny and Julie were here one night for prayer and um I was sitting near them and I'll tell you Johnny started just thanking God and it wasn't anything you know massive or whatever just thanking him for this and that and and I started it it caused me to want to start thanking God right and I felt the Lord's present Mo presence move in it it it brings him in you know it's like wait they're talking about me oh do you hear all that love you know it's like when your kid wants to come and you're the best daddy you're so sweet I love you you know all that sweetness doesn't it just make you just want to get in closer and just snuggle and be like oh you're right I am the [Laughter] best I say get practice get some practice because this is what we're going to be doing in heaven if you make it to heaven and we all have to endure to the end but if you make it to heaven this is what we'll be doing Revelation 7 9-12 after this I beheld in low a great multitude which no man could number of all Nations and kindreds and people and tongues stood Before the Throne and before the lamb clothed with white robes and Palms in their hands and cried with a loud voice saying salvation to our god which sth upon the throne and unto the lamb and all the Angels stood round about the throne and about the elders and the four beast and fell down uh Before the Throne on their faces and worshiped God saying amen blessing and glory and wisdom and Thanksgiving and honor and power and might be unto our God forever and ever amen how many times do you say this in a week you need to start practicing it pull it up on your phone and pray it and just lift your voice to him stop being so quiet you know everything that we do as as Believers it takes really our mouth you know a confession for salvation a prayer confession for healing you have to speak and and pray and and bring Deliverance to people cast demons out um confess your faults one to another so we're always supposed to be there's supposed to be stuff coming out of our mouth but I think we've kind of been tamed down and I don't know if it's the denominations that people have come from or um what it is but even our
prayer services it's just kind of like everybody just sits there in our worship I mean praise God we worship but there's more there's more that we can do um so with that said everybody stand up it's not over yet I just want you to stand up you don't have to she's holding a baby everybody see the the screen we're gonna practice I want everybody saying this out loud with your heart we're going to thank him glorify him lift his name on high Magnify Him lift him up so you ready all right holy holy holy Lord God Almighty which was and is and is to come next Thou Art Worthy oh Lord to receive glory and honor and power for thou Hast created all things and for thy pleasure they are and were created oops we got more because you know what hey this is going on a lot in heaven right all right let's go Worthy is the Lamb that was slain to receive power and riches and wisdom strength and honor and glory and blessing all right next blessing and honor and glory and power be unto him that sth upon the throne and unto the lamb for amen praise God shout praise him now do it with your own mouth praise you Lord thank you Jesus thank you Lord thank you Lord thank you Lord Praise Your Holy Name Praise You Lord amen that is what we're going to be doing for eternity eternity you can be seated now now you have a little practice here you take it with you and from now on come in practiced up right all right now some may say well I'm really shy I'm a really quiet person I'm hey I don't dance I don't scream most of the time I you know I'm really not a loud person myself but some would say I would Praise Him and worship him like that when I'm in his presence in heaven but Matthew 18:20 says for where two or three are gathered together in my name there am I which means I exist in the midst of
them let's treat it like that let's treat it like we're coming in to the holy of holies we're we're coming in to be before his presence show up on time which I was late today sorry about that see I got work to do I I I'm serious but really show up on time hey at least I made it because these pants are really long and I almost flew down our concrete steps so praise God that I made it um I don't believe I can fly I don't believe I can touch the sky and I don't think about it every night and day um some of you will know what that is some of you will not shows your age but you know that's we also pastor w-e at Skyfall brought a wonderful message about the fear of the Lord and we need to come in here like that too are we wanting his presence in here you know are we really wanting it start at home thanking him praising him being grateful coming here with the right heart and when we join together it's gonna you know he's here but just like when when Johnny did all that thinking and I felt something different move in that's what we're looking for we want more right we want more of his presence and he's here and he wants to he wants to be with us he wants to um in inhabit our Praises um Psalm 22:3 but Thou Art holy oh thou that inhabiteth the Praises of Israel when we as James 48 says draw nigh to God and He will draw a nigh to you right of course there's this other part cleanse your hands you Sinners get the get the attitudes out get the all these little things that we consider little out cleanse your hands you Sinners and purify your hearts you double-minded but when you I have here when you pay attention to God he pays attention to you now he's always watching us he's always around he's you know we know that but this is something different this is um you know it it it just brings in a different presence a heaviness that's a good thing a weightiness um because he he's leaning into you he's coming to be closer to you because you're honoring him you're magnifying him you're bringing um praise and honor and glory to him and when we do this we will change we will be I saw uh this week a
video Prager you I like some of their stuff of course at the end they threw in a big Globe but whatever um but it was about UNG fness and it was saying it was basically saying you know it's the difference between happy people and unhappy people good people and people who are not good it really is it changes everything about your life um so I just encourage you this is that's really that's the message that the lord gave gave me is you know that old check yourself before you wreck yourself thing and and I'm having to do a lot of checking and it's a choice like I said you have to choose to do it it's just like anything else in life you can choose to go the easy way or you can choose to change your thoughts and go God's way and that's what he said and he warned us about it so this is your warning it's a reminder if you had forgotten about that part in that scripture he warned us about it so in the end times be watching for it and and here's the thing you're going to come across a lot of ungrateful unhappy people but you can be the light you can change things so I'll invite my husband up can somebody say amen amen amen hey St stay here for a second um said don't don't run off just yet um I just want to say that uh this is something I think that all of us really really need to do because things as things get more difficult in the world we're going to display either being a brat before God or we're going to figure out how to be thankful for what we have I remember now this is something simple but I've been doing this for a long time because I spent when I spent a month in Israel one of the things that I discovered is as we were traveling around the country and going to all these youth hostels not all of them had hot water you know you didn't get a hot shower and then it started getting colder when I was there so then the weather would be freezing cold and then you would have a cold shower so when I got back to the United States and I got in that hot shower I was like oh Lord this is so wonderful thank you for a hot shower and I still thank him for that because I found out what it's like to not have it for a while right now that's something simple but it really is you should be thankful for your home or where you live your car if you have a car I've been without a car at times you know if you
have food I mean we need to be really thanking God for what we have and how he's blessed us and stay more focused on those things than what we don't have because again when we see somebody else that they have something we don't have and we start longing for it that is the sin of Envy or covetousness so that's why it's so important too to be thankful for what you have and I want to tell you this if if you're going through a difficult time financially or living alone or whatever things that we go through just remember that it's the tough times that really make you grow it's the tough times that make you appreciate the good times you know so all of it that you go through if you're following the Lord all of it as as I love what one thing that Pastor John Kilpatrick used to teach all the time he said everything that comes to you as a True Believer as a disciple of Jesus is Father filtered meaning he either allowed it or stepped back and said I'm they they need this or or he actually sent it your way um remember it was the Holy Spirit that drove Jesus Into the Wilderness to be what tempted think about that God didn't tempt him but he put him in the situation where he was going to be hungry and tired and alone and then be tempted by the devil so sometimes God will put you in the situation and say let's see what they do not just see what we'll do of course he knows but to make us a stronger better and more grateful person for when he blesses us with things because I remember Dr Larry Lee he was my pastor for a long time he said this one time the Lord spoke to him and said I'm about to give you the most dangerous thing I can give to a Christian and he said what in the world is that he said success he said Everything You Touch Is going to work everything you do is going to turn to gold everything in the ministry is going to go well for you and at the Pinnacle of that blessing and success was a big fall and so you know that's why I believe that God took David through all of those years of difficult times so that when he became king he wouldn't end up like Saul remember it was just handed to Saul without difficulty but the Lord said no if we're going to have a good King we're going to have to put him through hell for you know about 12 years before he becomes king so he will appreciate it he'll be
thankful and of course he's the one that wrote A lot of these Psalms here about being thankful in the battle in the struggle in the difficulty so I wanted to just pray for my wife though she has got a lot on her she does a lot um and I just want to bless her and so let's pray and I'm pray for all of us here but Father in Heaven I thank you so much for my wife and I thank you Lord for the anointing and calling upon her that she hears from you and has discernment and is a hard worker Lord she does so many things and I ask you Lord to just bless her strengthen her fill her Lord Lord Heal her body and give her Lord the the rest and the strength that she needs to be uh the pastor's wife to be a a pastor in this ministry to be a mom and to just do all the things that she does Lord I pray that you fill her strengthen her bless her uh I thank you for a Godly wife that wants to grow and change and be more like you and be closer to you Lord Lord and and Lord that she is so loyal to me Lord I Thank you that my heart can safely trust in her always and I thank you that that we are a team and Lord I pray for everyone here and those watching and listening that the same thing will happen Lord that husbands and wives will become team and work together flow together and be what you've called them to be in these last days and Lord help us all be very thankful for all the many blessings that we have we have a a home we have heat or air conditioning or whatever blessing we may have Lord we thank you for this country we thank you for the freedom we do have we thank you that uh Lord we just have so many things that other places in the world they don't have they don't even have access to so we are thankful and we ask you Lord to order our steps in your will and your plan and even if it's difficult Lord we will give you thanks and we will give you praise and it's in Jesus name we pray amen amen all right well let's uh stand why don't we do a song before we go y'all want to do another one before we leave you know what I want to do um what's the one you what was the one you put up here yeah let's do that one I will sing I will sing can y'all do that five more minutes maybe all right let's Worship the Lord a few [Music]
