lord god for the healing power of jesus i believe that healing power is flowing to people today let if you need healing just raise your hands this morning i just just raise your hands as well i don't care wherever you are just raise your hands this morning and say i believe that jesus paid for my healing physical emotional and spiritual and i receive it today in jesus name i receive jesus as my healer thank you lord let healing flow that healing flow andy in the name of jesus you say to that allergy to that peanut allergy and anything i'll say in the name of jesus i am healed i rebuked that it has to go for me in jesus name amen hallelujah lord i pray god you know what bill painter needs healing of you know what his wife needs healing of what susan lord we pray right now let healing power flow into their bodies lord god in the name of jesus let healing power flow into their bodies lord god god especially into that foot into susan's foot and ankle and healing power flow in the name of jesus christ of nazareth because jesus you came lord and you both preached salvation and repentance you preached the gospel you healed the sick the physically sick and you cast out demons and healing you paid for when you took the stripes the beating on your back and lord we forgive us for neglecting that and not believing that and not pressing into that but in the name of jesus we have healing through jesus christ and we need healing to be able to physically do the work of the ministry and minister to people and so lord we just pray for healing power to flow in this church lord today and beyond because lord there's some people that need to be strengthened in their bodies so that they can do what you've called them to do spiritually for the kingdom so lord we pray that healing power would flow in the name of jesus this morning hallelujah father you're the healer we believe for healing bats to be healed lord we're people in this church including myself or we've had issues with with backs getting injured and tweaked and and rocked out of place well i just pray for healing to flow lord in the name of jesus hallelujah we praise you lord as you're the same yesterday today and forever that's what hebrews 13 8 says that jesus christ is the same yesterday today and forever he has not changed his ministry in the church has not changed
amen he has not changed he still preaches repentance he still preaches healing divine healing in the bodies of people and he still preaches deliverance to people who are demon-possessed and oppressed jesus christ has not changed amen thank you god i thank you we have a god that does not change i don't care if men in academia and big schools and big churches say he doesn't do it anymore the bible says the word of god says that he does and we've got to make up our mind do i believe it do i receive it do i stand upon it before i get it see faith believes it before you see the manifestation of it but you've got to truly believe it in your heart do not doubt and as jesus said over and over the people who got healed your faith has made you whole what you believe in your heart and confess with your mouth that is faith amen come on now it's not a bad thing to be pentecostal and charismatic because really all it means to be pentecostal is to believe all the bible yes right now there's pentecost people claim to be pentecostals and charismatics you don't believe the bible anymore who cut out parts they're just like everybody else for the most part the backslidden church but truly the only change the only difference between being pentecostal and not being pentecostals that you believe god hasn't changed that the gifts of the holy spirit are still for today the divine healing and miracles of god through the name of jesus is still for today that demons are real and you have to bind them and cast them out in jesus name and that's the only difference really is that pentecostals believe guess what jesus said to the disciples to be baptized in the holy spirit and when you're baptized in the holy spirit and that will that happen they spoke in other tongues and prophesy and he said this would be going on even in the last days because he said your sons and your daughters would have dreams and visions and prophesy so the gifts he said in the last days would be happening so where are these fools get their ideas from i don't know right jesus has not changed the bible has not changed the word of god has not changed amen the lord wants us to believe it all not just parts of it just remember this every time you decide to believe this part but not believe this part of the bible you're in trouble you're already deceived you're already headed down the wrong road and it's going to be a road of shipwreck and destruction and ruin you believe it all it's all or nothing to deal with jesus right that's right yes lukewarmness doesn't cut it that gets spit out of his mouth right y'all have a seat this morning we'll share some things with you
uh you can go ahead if you want to um i don't even know if i'm going that direction or not but we'll see i got to find out what i did with my bible this morning oh there it is hallelujah we're going to have communion this morning also before before church is over but i want to share um just some things that god is confirming you know both good and bad amen um i want to share um yesterday i got an email and just for you that that no listen um just because you may have a prophetic gift on your life or a prophetic uh anointing or prophetic call it doesn't mean that god won't use other prophets and other people with other gifts to speak to you and just before i share this because i think this is important um god's just kind of just i don't know my directions changed about three times since last night so bear with me i'm just going to kind of go with we we may have a a buffet this morning of different things all right but here's here's the thing that um there's a brother um and i and i hope he won't mind me saying his name i don't guess but his name is mark redman and just to give you a little background on him years ago when i wrote race abuse book in back in 98 99 he worked for charisma magazine and that's how we met because um i my book was advertised in charisma and he was the one that that was my contact at charisma so my book got um advertising charisma magazine which of course you know charisma magazine goes all over the world and and it was just cool but what happened more than that was that me and mark you know we just kind of hit it off as as brothers in the lord and and mark has a um a prophetic anointing on his life he hears from god he has visions and and things from the lord and you know we spent time a lot of time talking on the phone you know i lived in montgomery and he lived down in orlando at the time orlando florida and so you know this is back in 99 and 2000 you know i went down there he he uh charisma had a big conference i remember with carlos anacondio and claudio fritz on the leaders of the argentine revival and and he got me in that conference got me in the pastors uh luncheon with those guys and you know i wanted to be around people
uh back then and still do but i mean really back then there was such a hunger for the glory of god and for the presence of god for revival and so you know i'd go anywhere if if it was real if god was moving and there were men of god who were wiser than me and and you know been doing it you know you you you humble yourself and try to learn from people um that are older and been in the lord longer and that are seeing god really move right so you know mark he set that up i got to meet those guys and got prayed for uh you know and i believe in the transference of the anointing of god just like he did with uh elijah and elisha i believe that's still for today that the anointing and glory of god transfers from from people to people and that god uses people in your life to help set a fire under you and help you know uh help you when you're when you dry or when you're thirsty or when you're struggling or whatever and so anyway uh you know i went down there and did that and then he and i would talk on the phone and then another time we went to uh i think it was in 2000 or 2000 early 2001 some still not in that time period but uh to the christian booksellers convention up in nashville and i met him up there and we stayed up there for a few days and tommy kinney who was a revivalist and had preached at the brownsville revival and had a revival in baltimore where god literally uh came down a lightning bolt came down in the church and split the pulpit in half and there was a revival in that church imagine it might be a revival and so i got to meet that man as well and spend some time with him but all through mark and and so mark and i kept up with each other until about 2001 and then you know uh my life changed and went in different directions and so did his and so we just lost contact with each other and this is before facebook and before everybody kind of stayed connected what's funny is he's not even to my knowledge even on facebook that i know so so we never reconnected until this past summer and you have to understand i hadn't talked to this brother since 2001 so this past summer of 2013 uh you know that's about 12 years right so we hadn't talked in 12 years he i guess he finds me on the internet he he felt god speak to him about me and looked me up on the internet found my email and which is easy to do if you google my name you'll find me you know i'm not hidden so the nsa they don't even need to spy on me because they can find anything they want to know right so so anyway he he emails me a word now he didn't know that the house that we were living in uh had sold he didn't know or that was up for sale that we were
gonna have to move um he didn't know any of the details i mean he didn't even know you know what i'd been through i mean we didn't know nothing zebra is it nada right nothing so anyway he shares this word he said the lord hit him made him pull over the glory of god hit him so strong he was driving in his car and had to pull over and he said the lord showed him a vision of of me and and a wave coming our direction he said it was a wave of glory he said a lot of people would see it as a wave of destruction or a wave of trouble or trial but he said within that wave he saw provision coming and he named several things he said i saw he said this is what's funny he said in the wave of water i saw tables and chairs and then he said i saw land and then he even said i see god you know you seeing this everybody around you seeing this as a storm but you're seeing it as god working in god's provision he even said when i then i called him and he said i even feel like this is all kind of going to transpire around september and you know this is in june right june july and so um he even said he even spoke about seeing us sitting around a a lawyer's um conference table okay now i'm sitting here thinking hmm he gave us that word he was was it that day or the next day it was that day or the next day i mean it might have been even that night that we got word that the house had sold that we limited it was that day within a few hours of him sharing that word with me we got word that the house sold and of course at that point we don't know where we're going or how we're doing it right so just to say that this brother um his gift his prophetic gift from from jesus is real right and um and of course uh we started the process god started the whole thing open the door and you guys know the rest of the story of the land that opened up that i'm supposed to inherit but not yet but it opened up early through a miracle and all the things that have happened and even to the point of my wife i didn't know at the time being concerned because when we moved we weren't going to have tables and chairs because the tables and chairs we had at that house didn't belong to us and immediately god provided tables and chairs and nobody had said a word about that but through two different people so we ended up with two tables and two chairs that we didn't have and so god was showing us i'm taking care of you i'm providing for you um i'm gonna work this situation out and
yeah we ended up around a lawyer's table having to deal with something it's funny because we didn't meet in his office where we could have met in his office in front of his desk but instead he walked us into his conference room and we sat around the conference just like he saw i mean it's quite wild and then you guys know we were trying to move in the house as soon as we could but there were so many problems that it didn't work out until we didn't get to move in until september exactly what he said so here's what i'm saying and you know do i and i'm not trying to lift up mark mark's not a perfect guy and he's had his own struggles and you know he goes through attacks matter of fact he told me he emailed me yesterday he said he's been in the hospital for the last week he's been under a lot of warfare and attacks so lift up my my friend my brother mark redmon because he i think he went home yesterday from the hospital though but he and i are going to talk in a few days but i wanted to share this because he got my attention you know somebody gives you a word with those many specific details and they come to pass just like that um you need to listen right and even though i'm have the calling of a prophet on my life and operating the prophetic ministry i am not too prideful to hear god speak through other people and that's a lesson we need to learn no matter how much you know how mature you are how strong or how long you've been saved what your gifts are any of those things god can speak to you even sometimes he can speak prophetically through a little child okay if you're listening if you're humble enough to hear it he can speak through somebody that's not in your denomination you know he speaks through somebody that you don't even agree with on everything theologically but god can speak well if we remember correctly god spoke through a donkey and i don't recall the donkey ever saying that the donkey was a prophet right right it's pretty bad if god's got to speak through a donkey though that means you're not listening right he's going through some pretty drastic means right to get you but anyway i wanted to share this with our church because he mark sent me another word yesterday and what's interesting is something that i've been praying about for years now several years and um that's been bugging me about our church and not just our church but it's kind of the church in general but but particularly our church because in my early days um when i came back to the lord um and began fasting for weeks and and just long periods of time spending days in prayer and you know i started uh of course i was just devouring my bible reading and studying my bible sometimes just all day every day for days just getting it down in me but i began to read the stuff that jesus did and then jesus said you know in john 14 12 the works that i do you shall do also so see i didn't have somebody i didn't have a
seminary professor ruined trying to ruin my belief in the scriptures i was reading all this and i saw what jesus did and what did jesus do jesus went and preached repentance you know he told the woman you know everybody focuses on the woman uh that was then caught in the act of adultery and thrown at the feet of jesus in john chapter eight and everybody focuses on that where he said you know where are your accusers you know i forgive you that whole everybody likes the forgiveness part but they forget that he said to her go and sin no more right we forget that when jesus healed the man who had been paralyzed for 38 years and he saw him again later he said go and sin no more lest the worst thing come upon you oh boy we forget that jesus said the first words that came out of his mouth ministry-wise preaching wise was repent turn from your sin and believe the gospel the message that i have that was the first thing he said repent and believe the gospel right so if jesus did it you know i looked and i saw jesus do it i saw john the baptist do it and i saw peter do it and i saw paul do it and i saw i thought well that's what i'm supposed to do right and i see where jesus went around it said healing the sick and all and and those who were oppressed of the devil how god anointed you know i'm going to give you the scriptures this morning i'm just going to let them fly you can write them down yourself but acts 10 38 when it said how god anointed jesus of nazareth with the holy ghost in power who went about doing good healing all that were oppressed of the devil for god that was with him it didn't amazing that god equated sickness with being oppressed of the devil oh boy come on now they don't preach this at first baptist or first methodist but it's bible how god anointed jesus christ of nazareth with the holy ghost and power who went about doing good healing all that were oppressed of the devil for god was with him and then i read the scripture again this i want this to sink now john 14 12 he that believeth on me jesus said did he say some of them that believe on me no he said he that believeth on me the works that i do shall he do also and greater even greater works than these because i go to my father what was jesus saying i'm only going to be here for three and a half years doing this when i go the church is supposed to keep doing what i'm doing and that's why people will come along and do the works i did maybe for four years maybe for ten years maybe for 30 years right but i'm sitting there going wow you know when i was when i was young believer i just read the bible and believed it novel idea right and so i'd pray for anybody i believe when i laid my hands on
somebody and prayed for them that they want to be healed right then and that's why i saw the death here in jesus name i saw the crippled walk in jesus name i've seen dead babies raised back to life again dead babies in mama's wounds three of them dead doctors say remove the baby no don't do it come to prayer meeting pray for that woman speak to the baby arise live in the name of jesus why did i believe we could even do that because jesus raised the dead he said the works that i do you shall do also why do people think this is strange i know i'm talking about christians i understand the world thinking it's strange because no man no no man that doesn't have that had doesn't have the spirit of god can't receive the things of the spirit of god i understand that but christians born again christians people that love the lord read their bibles go to church and read this stuff and they don't get it so you know maybe i'm going down a little rabbit trail here but i remember you know when i was young i saw those things i believe those things i can't tell you how many times people with cancer were healed eating up with cancer stage four dying boom come for prayer believe god in the name of jesus go back to the doctor cancer gone not a trace not a cancer cell not a tumor in the body when it was full of tumors now think about it what about some of these people remember one time there was a boy there was a boy this was in valley when i was hanging out with david copeland going to david copeland's youth group and we were having prayer meetings and we were having bible studies and man we you know it was crazy we were just i look back on that and and look for that now in the church where i don't even see that and we were the youth group having all night prayer meetings and getting up early in the morning and going to prayer and and fasting and going to the hospital and praying for people and believing for miracles and we were youth and i remember this boy was about 14 years old fell out of the back of a pickup truck and valley fell out of the back of the as it was going down the road fractured his skull was in a coma and was paralyzed they said on the right side of his body and they didn't know whether he's going to wake up or not and i remember his mom knew one of the moms of one of the girls in the youth group and i remember the girl's name was julie and she came to us and said this boy you know she told us what happened this mom wants us to come pray for so you know what i did i told it was four of us it was me my brother alan my real brother julie the girl that knew the family and mitch the satanist who was trying to pose like he was a christian but we let him hang out with
us so he'd see the power of jesus right okay i think i make this stuff up but i promise you i don't all right i know some of y'all look at me but i prom so we go to the hospitals what is it i think it's saint francis in columbus is that it yeah and we go to saint francis and i remember but before we went i told him i said you guys go home i said read the scriptures about healing and that jesus saying the works he did we shall do also i said go go read that if you've got to read it again and again and again and again i said get unbelief out of you and let's go to the hospital i did the same thing and now let me just go on and tell you that the devil wasn't happy about that because as we're in my car there's four people we're driving in my car i'm probably 20 years old 21 years old we're driving in my car boy the demonic oppression the warfare just to get to the hospital it was so oppressive of the enemy that i just wanted to turn my car around and run okay the enemy hates this right so we go up in the hospital now this is before i was a pastor this is before i was a youth pastor before i was anything in the church so guess what this boy's in in icu intensive care i can't go in there i'm not a family member and i'm not his pastor right so we're in the waiting room there there's family although there's probably 20 or 30 family members in there i'm like i wouldn't say i didn't come there to you know have a social visit so i mean you understand the warfare and the oppression was so much i just want to get out of there but you know we chit-chatted for a minute for just you know the stuff we have to do as people you know to make other people feel comfortable right but i finally just said all right y'all we i said we came here to pray for your son you asked us to pray so i called the mother over and i said you asked us to come and pray right and she said yes and so she said well let me call the boy's father over here so she called the boy's father and i said look we came here to pray and that's what i said i said we didn't come here to pray and if prayer this is not if it's god's will it's not god's will for this boy to die or to be paralyzed or to be brain damaged it's not god's will he's 14 it's not god's will simple as that i said so we're here to pray and ask jesus to do a miracle and believe it so we took hands i said let's take hands and i and i led i know i probably scared the baptist and methodist to death but i prayed the loudest boldest pentecostal faith prayer i could play pray i mean loud louder than i preach loud they could probably hear me down the hallway i didn't care because i knew the devil was trying to make me
intimidated try to make me fearful try to make be quiet everybody wants it christians be quiet don't say anything no right so i prayed for the boy i said jesus your word says in first peter 2 24 by your stripes we were healed and i just started quoting scriptures like that and i said and so i got to the end of it i said jesus i can't go in there so lord jesus i ask you to walk into that i see you room lay your hands on that boy and heal him in jesus mighty name in your mighty name i pray and i and when we when we said amen i turned to the father of the boy and i shook this i reached out my hand and i shook his hand and i said your boy is healed and i turn around and julie and alan and mitch the satanist we left okay that was at 3 30 on a saturday afternoon eastern time all right the next morning we went to church didn't hear anything we went to church in the choir i'm in the youth choir we're all up there singing songs and a lady stands up and says that the mother of this boy called and wanted to thank the youth that came and prayed for her son at 3 30 yesterday because at 6 30 he woke up from his coma he was his paralysis was gone his brain wasn't swollen or bleeding and he asked for some fried chicken he was hungry and he went home and that church went crazy jumping up and down okay and so i've been asking god lord where are the where are your miracles here we have a church in auburn and no opalaca area of alabama and i'm like yeah we've seen a few sick folk healed little things here and there and that's important but where are your great miracles lord where are the notable signs where are the signs and wonders and i've been asking the lord i'm like is it me is it i just don't have the faith that i had when i was young man is it because i don't fast enough or pray like i did or fast like i did back then i mean i really asked god what in the world is going on around here and i don't know maybe this is because the opelika auburn area is where i grew up and this was my nazareth and when jesus went to nazareth said he could do no mighty work there because of their unbelief save he healed a few sick folks
and he said he marveled at their unbelief but i still believe god sent us here to be a full-on pentecostal church right unashamed ah you know i am not ashamed i know that there are people who who listen to us listen to the messages listen to our services read my books pay attention to what we post different ones of us on facebook um and i know i love our baptist brothers and sisters i love the methodists i've got presbyterian friends i got you know people from all different websites but i am unashamed to say i'm pentecostal i speak in tongues i interpret tongues i prophesy i believe in healing that jesus heals i believe in miracles i believe in casting demons out that they're real and casting them out i believe that god can speak to us still today and show us things to come i'm not ashamed of that the bible is on my side to that if you don't believe that that's your problem if you don't like me because of that that's even more your props right but being pentecostal is just not you know we're not pentecostal because we clap or sing contemporary music and praise and worship that doesn't make you pentecostals they got contemporary services out here and they think they're pentecostal no if you're pentecostal you speak in tongues you believe jesus heals you pray for the sick you see miracles happen you cast out demons you prophesy you hear god speak to you and you're unashamed of it amen i remember back in you know back in the the turn of the century after the azusa street revival you know pentecostals used to get beaten and whipped with hoses and all kind of stuff just because they people hated us who cares i've watched churches i've watched pentecostal churches decide that they wanted to be respectable and they wanted their you know people to like them so we're not going to have tongues in the service and we're not going to have interpretation and we're not going to have prophecy we're not gonna have anybody shaking under the power of the spirit or falling out under the floor and the power of the spirit and you know even though daniel shook even though paul was knocked to the ground even though these things are biblical we're not going to have any of that because we you know but folks i'm unashamed firing grace church is a pentecostal church amen pastor dean is a pentecostal pastor i'm not ashamed of the holy spirit mary i think i remember something about jesus saying if you're ashamed of me and my words i'll be ashamed of you on the day of judgment oh boy so i figure if jesus healed i'm not gonna say hmm stay away from that healing if jesus talked about the baptism of the holy spirit
i'm not gonna say oh that's not for today you know what i'm saying or if jesus said the works i do you will do also i'm not going to say oh no that ended in the first century foolishness right so i've been asking god though what is the deal what is the deal yeah if we had seen some some dramatic deliverances have we saw some happen with marlene marlene was delivered from some demons of roman catholicism and idolatry and santeria and stuff going back in her family delivered set free yes as a christian she had to have demons cast out of her and when they were cast out she coughed up blood threw up blood threw up stuff she didn't eat for dinner i mean we had full-on wild manifestation but problems in her body issues going on on the left side of her body healed of it gone migraines gone amen children healed josiah her her one of her little ones here was healed of what was it it was uh he was out allergic to pork and had stomach issues and was healed yeah we we have seen jesus heal and deliver some folks but folks i guess i'm here to tell you it's time to take it to a new level amen it's time and and you have to want it you know when he when he talked about in in first corinthians 12 and first corinthians 14 he said covet the gifts desire the gifts we're supposed to covet them i earnestly desire the gifts of the holy spirit let me just tell you the gifts of the holy spirit nine of them first corinthians 12 there's nine of them and he said diverse kinds of tongues interpretation of tongues prophecy word of knowledge word of wisdom gifts of healing and working of miracles the gift of faith and the gift of discerning of spirits and the bible says covet those things earnestly desire those things what did paul tell timothy neglect not the gift that is in you that was given you by the laying on of hands of the presbyter of the elders meaning the elders had the holy ghost they had the gifts of the holy spirit they laid hands on you and you received something don't quench it stir it up and let it flow i'm gonna ask you this morning do you hunger for the gifts of the spirit to flow through your life now granted there are some kooky charismatics out there i call them charismaniacs who they want to float around on clouds see a vision every day you know laugh when they should be crying but they live in sin compromise
lukewarmness they're bound up by demons they got counterfeit manifestations and counterfeit uh spiritual experiences all over them because they don't stick to the word of god and and and you you can find them out real easy when you start preaching some hard stuff like get out of your fornication get out of your social drinking get out of your pornography get out of your adultery and they get uncomfortable with that i'm like you you don't have the holy spirit because the first thing about the holy spirit is that he's holy oh come on now don't shout me down because i'm preaching good if you've got the holy spirit the first thing he's wanting to do in your life before the gifts of the spirit is to make you holy all right all right but see here's the thing though anybody that has a desire to walk in holiness and obedience to god should also have the desire to operate and walk in the gifts of the holy spirit in the supernatural amen i love what god said to jeremiah when he was talking about the false prophets jeremiah 23 when he was talking about the false prophets and god said you know they they dream these dreams they they speak visions of their own spirit they're prophesying things falsely they're making up stuff but then he said but he that has a dream and what he's meaning here is he that has a true dream for me let him speak it he that has my word let him speak it what is the weak to the chaff is not my word like a hammer that breaks the rock in pieces they can have all the fake words they want to have somebody carrying the real thing is like a hammer smashing the rocks amen see somebody they act like because there's counterfeits out there that we shouldn't have operate in the real well that's stupid there's counterfeit money out there did you quit using your money oh come on now see what i'm saying i mean that's about foolish well say you came across a hundred dollar bill that was counterfeit you didn't know it they're out there in the in the money world and let's say you passed one by accident the secret service came paid you a little visit and after some investigation they discovered well you just picked it up at such and such a store and it just got transferred you wasn't something intentional you weren't printing your own money anywhere right but you got hassled a little bit and you said well because there's counterfeit hundred dollar bills i'm through with money no you wouldn't do that you would just maybe look a little closer next time you picked up 100 bills the counterfeits ought to drive us closer to the reel
right the old saying don't throw the baby out with the bathwater right well there's counterfeits there's false prophets there's phony miracles there's well so what guess what you can't counterfeit something that doesn't exist you know what i'm saying you can't have a counterfeit dollar bill if there's not a real dollar bill amen so i'm sitting here and i'm like lord i'm praying and you know what i'll be honest what i felt the lord tell me a while back was that it's just the season we're in or maybe it's a season onion i don't know but it's just a season there wasn't time for that right and then yesterday when mark sends me this other word and it has to do with miracles coming and when he sent me this other word i'm going to read it in a second because it's really not just for me it's for you it's for our church when he sent me this word and i was praying i took some time to pray and i was asking god about this i felt like the lord tell me this so before i get to it this is what i want you to know i believe the reason that the lord has not made healing and notable miracles a big part of our church just yet is because at the time we came here that was right after the lakeland uh revival there's a lot of pentecostals and charismatics that it seems like all they care about is a miracle or healing or a manifestation and god wanted our church not to be mistaken or not to be lumped in with all that foolishness okay and he wanted us to be focused on the message of the gospel of repentance of getting our lives obedient getting our lives holy getting right with god walking in truth of scripture getting rid of deceptions and false teachings like once saved always saved and understanding the scriptures and getting ourselves cleaned out deliverance and and then the end time message and god wanted our church to be known for the message not the miracles he wanted fire and grace church to be known for those people we may hate them we may not like them we may disagree with them but they preach it hard they preach it straight i mean there's even a pentecostal group a charismatic group i should say that i have had issues with around here because they're kind of flighty and weird and float around out there but what's funny is the leader and i we get along with
each other we like each other okay but he told somebody that i was like a holiness preacher i thought well wait a minute i thought we're supposed to be holy i know that that vocabulary but you know i look back i know from my day going back to the you know the 80s and and going to church with my grandmother and my great grandmother and my great aunts i know what old time holiness preaching was about that was about how long your skirt was and not wearing makeup and not wearing jewelry and you know that was old old legalism but good old-fashioned it's not legalism to to stay out of sex until you get married it's not legalism to not cheat on your wife or your husband it's not legalism to try to use your effort and walk with jesus and to obey him and repent and try to turn away from sin and live the most holy and obedient life that you can right this is and i sit here and i go holiness preacher have i ever told you women you can't wear makeup have i told you that your hair has to be up in a bun have i told you have i ever said anything about anybody any woman wearing pants that's all holiness preaching y'all okay i remember okay no there is what we call in the church world should be called practical holiness right it's just hilarious to me i'm a holiness preacher what are you an unholiness preacher what other option is there you know what i'm saying but anyway i believe the lord just he just laid it on my ar and we're not going to change to me to me the brownsville revival stayed true and saw many people saved because they never got the focus off of the message of repentance and the true gospel of jesus christ did people go to the brownsville revival and get healed there the testimonies are just thousands upon thousands brain tumors cancer people would go there be in praise and work i remember them not even praying for healing or ever ever really even focusing on healing the message was always clear from the evangelist repent turn from your sin live for jesus live right for jesus come down here confess your sins and give your life to jesus and i i was at the altars and the altars would be flooded with people and they kept the message focused on they kept the revival focused on the message and
on the outreach did they have gifts of the holy spirit flowing there were there powerful manifestations of the spirit did people start shaking it would people start crying and weeping their eyes out and intercession would people fall in the floor and shake yes when the power of the when the glory of god comes down when the true power of god comes down if it doesn't affect your physical body something's wrong with you because this old preacher at times there's been times when i've been hit by the power of god so strong that i have had to hold on to the pulpit to keep standing so i could preach i've had people walk around me when i used to go preach at tutwiler prison which is the only women's prison in the state of alabama and i used to go there every sunday night the power of god would fall i remember the assistant chaplains the anointing and glory of god was so strong during that revival season that they would tell me i can't even get close to you or i'll be on the ground i get near you and i start getting drunk in the spirit can't hardly walk these things are real i've had intercession come over me so strong groanings that cannot be uttered weeping and moaning and groating until i've fallen out of pews and in in respectable places and and been in the floor crying like a baby in a church service i also had the holy spirit hit me one time powerful hit me and i fell on the floor and laughed for 45 minutes still i couldn't hardly stand it anymore are there people who fake that oh yeah i've seen that boy we went through a whole season of that fake stuff in the church but is it real is the joy of the lord a real thing amen but is the terror of the lord a real thing the groaning and intercession of the lord a real thing when daniel it says and you know you go to the book of daniel when the when the lord appeared to him and gave him the great vision of the end times it says that he shook that he shook he trembled violently you know i love the story of in john 18 when the when when they came to get jesus when all the remember the soldiers and er that whole big group roman soldiers and everybody and judas and they came to get jesus we don't know how many of them it was but they jesus stood up said who are you looking for and they said jesus of nazareth and he said i am and when he said i am you know the king james adds in italics he but he just said i am it said that the power of god hit them they went backward and fell to the ground don't tell me being slain in the spirit of being knocked to the ground by the
power of god is not a biblical manifestation it is is there counterfeit do people fake it of course they do you get a demon-filled person and a demon filled phony preacher and people will fall out but does that mean it's not real no god can do it right listen i've heard satan speak in tongues but it's of demonic origin but that doesn't mean that my tongues are demonic and and preacher and christian out there that says it is you better be careful because you're you're bordering blaspheming the holy ghost no it's not good right but i'm going to share this because i believe we're moving into a new city remember a few weeks ago i told you i felt like we were turning the corner that we've turned a corner and you know we sang that song a minute ago let your glory fall in this room that's an old one going back to you know that was brownsville volume 2. i mean it was the second cd they put out in 1996 just a year into the revival but that was one of the vineyard songs but let your glory fall in this room let it go forth from here to the nations i believe that's a word for us if that we can see the glory of god come into our church our small church here and it could touch the nations of the world in a powerful way here's a good thing dry wood burns the best so it's okay to go through a season of being dry because when god lights the fire you'll burn real good right and anybody will come all the church has to do all a group of people has to get on fire for god and people will come they'll come watch you burn right but here's what he shared with me and i share this because i respect this brother and of course his accuracy has been tried and tested recently and i know he loves the lord and he said this he said hi dean have not talked to you in a while in prayer this morning he said i saw your toe in the glory cloud sticking it in testing the waters he said i saw your toe in the glory cloud just a very small sample of what the glory will be for you reminded of the wave of the glory cloud coming it is coming and i pray that you are overwhelmed with
his glory today and that god will continue to pour out his spirit to you and your wife for miracles i saw you following the lord's direction and raising your hands like moses with his staff and the miracles would happen the provisions would come and would fall from heaven manifestation now amen see i believe this because i mean this is something you have to understand something i've been praying and asking god about when's the season going to change i want to see revival i want to see your glory i want to see the miracles again the big ones and here's the thing i don't want to see just me doing it i want to see you guys doing it amen i'm going to stop but before we take communion this morning we are going to take communion i want us to do that song again let your glory fall in this room let it go forth from here to the nations and i want you to understand the great welsh revival that happened in 1904 it started with 26 people 26 people got a word from god that he was going to move and they were praying and asking god to move in power to save the people around them and evan roberts the young man he was only about 25 24 26 years old somewhere in that time but i have to look again but he was he was in his mid-20s and as he was praying and he had been to some revival meetings and there was one revival meeting he went to and the holy spirit moved on him and and god really touched him and bent him over and and his prayer began to be lord bendus and what he was talking about bend us over break us humble us deal with our pride deal with our doubt deal with us and and and change us so we can have your presence your glory in our midst right so then another time right after that he was back in his little apartment he was a single young man and he was praying and the lord showed him a hundred thousand people getting saved he saw the glory open up over wales and a hundred thousand people and he went and asked his his young you know i think his brother and some other i mean there was a little group of young people that was around him he said can you can you believe for a hundred thousand people so the meeting started in the in his little home church he asked the pastor if he could have a little meeting and his pastor said yeah but his pastor
didn't really expect much to happen right and the first few services he was shot because guess what they were kind of dry kind of nothing but he kept meeting because he knew he had a word from god god's going to move and from those 20-something people when the spirit of god came down that church was full for the next year people standing outside the doors and the windows the services went 24 hours a day they went the services would go whether he evan roberts the leader of it even showed up the power of god fell so strong in wales they averaged 10 000 people converted a week and i'm not talking like modern evangelism like billy graham come up here and pray this prayer and 90 of those people that prayed those prayers in billy graham crusades never were saved or you can't find them at all not saying that people didn't get saved through billy graham to him just saying modern evangelism has been weak but when the power of god comes down and the message is right people get saved and we're talking about people who had never known the lord hardened coal miners who who did nothing but cuss like sailors every day of the week matter of fact they said the donkeys that they used in the mules or whatever that they used in the coal mines didn't understand them after the revival because all the men quit cussing and the donkeys only understood the cuss words so they had a problem do you know that crime went to nothing in wales every every beard joiner what they call gin joint shut down the judges wore white gloves because of no cases to try it so affected that region so many people were saved and changed crime went to almost zero god can come down in an area and change everything amen nothing's impossible so let's sing this song and then we'll take communion and i hope you're not in a hurry if you gotta go i understand but i just decided i wasn't getting in a hurry this morning amen all right because you know pentecostals don't leave at 12 now all right let's do that song
