Yes, Lord. We ask you to light the fire. Waken our souls and our spirits, Lord, to you, to your ways, to your word. Oh, do we need understanding and revelation in your word. We don't want to just have knowledge, Lord. We want to have understanding. And truly, Lord, as it is defined, knowledge is an understanding gained by experience. Too many people think they know you, but they they don't know you as they ought to know you. And when you tell people that, they get offended. But some people have deceived themselves. We just pray that their eyes be opened, their hearts be open, that they would know you, they would come to know you, not just know about you, not just go to church or be religious, but they would come to know you, Lord Jesus, in a real powerful way, Lord. that they would be born again, that they would have an ongoing relationship with you, two-way conversation, being led by the Holy Spirit. That's what it's all about. Discerning what the Holy Spirit is saying and doing, not what we think. Lord, we pray for your grace and help in this time. And it's in Jesus name we pray. Amen. Amen. We're going to continue the world you live in. This part four. I've just entitled this the brainwashed. Um, it's really amazing how we have a bunch of Christians now that probably the at their at best they are babes in their relationship and their knowledge and their understanding of sound doctrine of the Bible, how to study the Bible, how to interpret the Bible, how to be led by the Holy Spirit. I'm talking about on every level when it comes to salvation. Most of them can't explain that. Certainly, they're wrong about creation. 99% of them. They're wrong. I'd say well over half that claim to be the church now are completely wrong about the baptism of the Holy Spirit, the gifts of the Holy Spirit that they deny and reject. Um, then you got the Calvinism crowd that believes, you know, some are predestined to go to heaven and some are predestined to go to hell. All kind of nonsense like that. Then you got uh different degrees of Calvinism, but most all of them believe you're once saved, always saved, no matter how you live.
Now, here's what the problem is. There is so much error, deception, lack of knowledge, lack of understanding uh within Christianity. But the problem is is that they arrogantly believe they know. That's the problem. Even the ones, remember Paul rebuked the Corinthians who thought they were something. And he said, "You are babes. You think you're hot stuff, but you are just babes because you have no understanding. You have no discernment." Oh yeah, some of the gifts manifest among you. Yes, you have some knowledge, but you're still babes. And can you imagine how offended they were with him? I mean, and here's what's even more wild, that the Corinthian church had the arrogancy, the pride to think that they could come against the Apostle Paul, who was the very founder of their church. They wouldn't even exist without him being there for 18 months and laying the foundation and leading people to the Lord and taking all the heat and doing the miracles and casting out the demons and establishing biblical Christianity among them and establishing that church and they have the audacity to come against him. This is this is where we live really the Corinthian church. Why why do I say the Corinthian church? Because being a port city, they were a very wealthy city. And some say around that time period before the end of the first century, the the church of Corinth was over 40,000 members. And Paul has to rebuke them. And they were allowing sin to go on and they were just they were a mess. And Paul had to try to straighten them out. But I, you know, here's the thing. I can't straighten any of these people out. They don't going to listen to me anyway. But they won't listen to anybody. And that's the thing about, you know what I believe? I'm just going to tell y'all why God sent me into this certain last time and this time, the political race. I'm a messenger. I'm a prophet to them. Whether they like it or not, I'm like the last warning they're going to get. and they just can't stand it. Even the so-called Christians. And what did the Lord say? I'm going to send you apostles. I'm going to send you prophets. I'm going to send you wise men. And you're going to go, "No, thank you." And this is what is going on. We live in the world of the brainwashed.
And they don't even understand that the Bible tells them that the end time Jesus warned what four times in Matthew 24. Take heed, no man deceive you. Many shall come and my name deceive many. Many false prophets shall rise and deceive many. False Christ, false prophets arise, do great signs and wonders in so much that they shall what? Deceive even the very elect. Paul told Timothy, second Timothy chapter 3, deceivers, those deceived and being deceived are going to what? Wax worse and worse. And we're about to step into the final delusion, the final big deception of the aliens, the whole alien deception. And we're about to move into that. It's getting closer and closer by the day. And here's the thing. If these Christians will not hear the word of God, what it has to say about it, if they will not hear the messengers that God is sending them, guess what's going to happen to them? They will be sucked in by the final delusion. Now, I want to go to Hosea chapter 4. We're going to start there this morning. And I believe what I'm about to read applies to the church in America and most of the world, but especially America today. I know here he was talking to Israel, but all scripture is given by inspiration of God and is profitable for doctrine. So I believe this applies to us. So let's read it. Verse one, hear the word of the Lord, ye children of Israel, for the Lord hath a controversy with the inhabitants of the land. Why? Because there is no truth, nor mercy, nor knowledge of God in the land. Now, think about who he was talking to. He's talking to the people of God. He was talking to Israel. He was talking to the religious crowd. He was talking to the people believe they had the scriptures that they had the prophets and and he tells them there's no knowledge of God in this land. They might have I'm sure some of the priests just about lost their minds. They were just so offended. But God what God sends prophets to say what needs to be said. And then he tells them the problem. Why is there no truth, no mercy, no knowledge of God in the land? He says, "By swearing and lying and killing and stealing and committing
adultery, they break out and blood touches blood. Therefore shall the land mourn and everyone that dwelleth therein shall languish with the beast of the field and with the fowls of heaven. Yay, the fishes of the sea shall also be taken away." And he says, "Yet no man," he says, "Yet let no man strive nor reprove one another, for thy people are as they that strive with the priest. Therefore, thou shalt fall in the day, and the prophet also shall fall within me." And they got their own prophets and teachers that tell them what they want to hear. And he says, I will destroy thy mother. And then he says this, verse six, and this is a verse we hear often. My people, God said, my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. Because thou hast rejected knowledge, I will also reject thee, and thou shalt be no priest to me. Seeing thou hast forgotten the law of thy God, I will also forget thy children. The reason is not that they are not told, they're not warned, they're not corrected. God will always send someone to tell you. If you won't listen to him and you won't listen to his word, then he's got to send somebody to tell you. And can I just go ahead and say I've been that person in life quite a lot over the last 38, 39 years. God has sent me to governors, to judges, to mayors, to other pastors, to other prophets, big and small. Sometimes I was the last person that God ever sent to somebody before they passed away and had to give an account. Um, and it's a responsibility, but I believe it's not just mine. I believe all of us are supposed to be led by the Holy Spirit to be his mouthpiece and his voice in any situation he tells you to go. You know, just this morning, my wife had some dude on her page attacking her and me for daring to get involved in the political arena like it's somehow it's a sin. I wonder what he would have said to Joseph or Nehemiah or Daniel. Don't you know the system's corrupt? Don't you know it's pagan? Yes, we know. God put them in there for a reason. To confront the whole system, to expose the whole system, to do some good for some people. But my wife answered the dude and said, "Who do you think?" Basically, who do you think you are? Do you think you know what everybody else is being led by the Holy Spirit to do?
I just love how people think they are they know what I'm supposed to do or what you're supposed to do. We are all called by God to do different things and we all led by God to do different things at different times and we don't always even understand the reason why. You know, one time many years ago when I was much younger, I was in my 20s, even before I started the first church I ever started, and the Lord I remember the Lord told me, "I want you to go join this group." It was a guy that came into town to start a church in Montgomery at the time. A friend of mine, a close friend of mine had been asked to be the worship leader and they asked me to come be the youth pastor. Okay? And I had been fasting a lot. I've been praying a lot and the Holy Spirit said, "I want you to go join them." Okay. So, we started having some meetings, some staff meetings to prepare to launch this new church in Montgomery. And what was going to be awesome about it was the staff that we had put together was black and white. I mean, we were already doing some things that had not been done before, especially in Montgomery, Alabama, right? So what blew my mind one of the staff meetings and we had the first service and I think the first service we probably had near a hundred people there. Okay, good beginning for a new church. Well, when that beginning happened, the guy that had come to be the senior pastor to start the church, we were in a staff meeting and he said, 'I don't know about you boys, but I'm going to drive a Rolls Rolls-Royce and I'm going to live in Wind Lakes. And I'm sitting there going, huh, we got a problem. And for those of you who don't know, Wind Lakes is a hoop-de-doo, you know, bougie neighborhood in Montgomery, right? That's where everybody wants to live, the big houses and all that stuff, the golf course, the country club. Um, and I remember thinking the Holy Spirit immediately, yeah, I you can't be part of this. And I I stood up and said, "I don't think that's supposed to be the goal of ministry or of a pastor of a church or anything of that matter." Now, this guy's in his 40s and I'm in my 20s. You know, I'm I'm just a little peeon in the meeting. And he said, "Well, I'm just telling you I'm going to drive a Rolls and and live in Wind Lakes." And I said, "Well, enjoy yourself because I'm not going to do it with you." And I walked out of there. I left. Now, that wasn't a hard decision for me, right? But I did have an issue with like, Lord, why on earth did you send me there knowing they
weren't going to receive a thing I had to say when it came time to deal with the real issues, right? And he told me, he said, "Just because they didn't receive you and they didn't receive the correction does not mean I didn't send you." You hear me? See, the state of Alabama is going to pick who their next lieutenant governor is and governor is and all that stuff. But if they don't have a choice between a lying, deceiving, self-serving politician and a true Christian, then that they can't ever when they stand before judgment that they go, "Well, God, you never sent us anybody." Oh, yeah, he did. Y'all just didn't like him because he dared to believe all of my word. He believed the parts that you're ashamed of. And that's what Jesus said. Jesus said, "If you're ashamed of me and of my words." See, that's where a lot of people are going to miss it. Oh, I love Jesus, but I don't know about that Bible. I don't know about everything in it. See, I was simply pointing out to our little devil secretary of state, Wes Allen. I was pointing out to him that Christians believe the Bible. Okay, they go together. Those two things. It's like a McDonald's cheeseburger and fries. You got to have both, right? Except not now. Back in the day when it was real meat, right? But true Christians that are born again by the Holy Spirit, before that happened, there was a revelation inside of you that the word of God, the Bible, the Holy Scriptures from Genesis to Revelation, these 66 books, it was by revelation. You knew it in your heart. You didn't know much of it. You might have not known all the apologetics and all the archaeology and history and prophecy. can fulfill prophet. You didn't know all that. But but the revelation at the time you were born again was the word of God is true from cover to cover. There is no such thing as a Christian that goes, "Yeah, but or I believe this but not that." You understand? Once you start doing that, I said you be you you've not you're not any longer a believer of the scriptures. You're an editor. You don't get to edit. Well, there's parts in there I don't like. There's parts in there that NASA told me aren't true.
You got to pick here. Here's a statistic. We were at the ALCAP lunchon in Montgomery that went to the prayer meeting. That's a Christian group in Montgomery that they do a lot of good stuff. They they pray for the for our leaders up there. They're involved trying to to push, you know, good solid legislation and things of that nature. And we're at the lunch and and uh what was his name? David Barton, I think it is a wall builder guy. It's real. Anyway, he's real well known. I've I've listened to him. I've heard his stuff over the years, but he's a Christian involved with Barner Research Group. And anyway, they did their their most recent study of young Christians who grow up in a Christian home but go end up going to secular university that between 81 and 84% of kids, Christian kids that go into the secular universities lose their faith. 81 to 84% Now, the number one reason, the number one thing that they're taught that causes them to lose their faith is the creation story. Because they go to the universities, the liberal secular universities, and they're taught the big bang, and they're taught the billions and billions of years, and they're taught the heliocentric universe. And they are taught clearly that the Bible does not teach that. The professors would tell them your Bible doesn't teach that. And because and and even in that meeting, Barton said Genesis is the foundation of our faith. And I thought to myself, you don't even know what you're saying because you don't believe the truth. I thought to myself, here's the whole illustration of everything I've been trying to say. But I thought 81 to 84% we lose. And that's because we didn't teach them. The church did not teach them because we were ashamed of it or we were ignorant. And what does the Bible say? If we are ignorant, then we are destroyed. And ignorance will not be an excuse because it's all here. Most people when they start reading the Bible for themselves read Genesis first. And there's no description of God creating a spinning flying water ball. Doesn't exist in the Bible. It's not there. I don't care how you twist it. Even the you can't even get that out of some of the twisted, manipulated translations.
We didn't teach our kids. Well, well, wait a minute now. See, and this is what really irks me. Some of these same Christians will say, "Oh, well, I believe in Jesus." "Oh, so you believe in the virgin birth. You believe that he's God in the flesh? You believe he died on the cross and rose from the dead? How many of those things would science agree with today? They would say those things are impossible. Those things don't happen. Those things are myths. But you say as a Christian, you believe those things. But when we tell you what creation really looks like in the Bible, oh no, no, no, no. We must believe the world on that. And Wes Allen had the audacity to say, you know, we've checked. And I I didn't get to say, "Oh, have you? unless he's claiming to be an astronaut now, which I don't put past the politician. And I thought, "No, you haven't checked anything. You believe what you've been told by the government." Right? And this is the problem again. I have a problem. It's it's like with these Christians. It's okay to believe certain supernatural things. It's okay to believe certain things in the Bible that contradict the scientific worldview, the secular worldview. It's okay to, but not all of them. We got to try to get along and try to make fit their system into ours so everybody will love us. H never never ever ever. But I digress. My people, he said, are destroyed for a lack of knowledge. But the problem is not just because they lack it. It's because they reject it when it comes to them. Did y'all hear that? Go to Proverbs 19 verse two. Actually, let's read one and two. I love this. Better is the poor that walketh in his integrity than he that is perverse in his lips and is a fool. Also, that the soul be without knowledge is not good. And he that hasteth with his feet sinnth. But what does it say there? The soul without knowledge is not good. Somebody better. Y'all are quiet as Lutheran in here. Let me give you knowledge. I I mentioned this when I prayed and I had this the Webster dictionary that I bought in 1987 to help me with my Bible study.
I've never forgotten this definition of the word knowledge. It's understanding gained by experience. Not just the intake of information, but it is an experience that helps you understand and be able to assimilate that information. See, a lot of people could define biblically from the Bible what it means to be born again, but have never have experienced that. Right? So, it's one thing to speak from to have knowledge from experience versus just knowledge from information. See, the difference between me and a lot of Christians out there is is that my walk with God, I've had experiences with him as I have studied this book for almost 40 years. I've had times where he came down and gave me revelation, understanding, wisdom, and things that I've gone through that he would take the scriptures and apply those to those things I've gone through. Therefore, my life with him is not just information. It is knowledge gained by experience. And that's what I'm afraid too many of these so-called Christians in these churches. They have knowledge without experience. And if you have knowledge without experience, you have information but no wisdom. You have information but no understanding. See, there's one thing. A baby could hear what I'm saying but not understand it. But when they get mature enough, they could hear the same exact words and understand what I'm saying. So, you get what I'm getting at. Hearing it doesn't mean you understand. Intake of information doesn't mean you you get it. And that was I mean I don't know the when did that movie come out? Back in the 90s. Goodwill Hunting. Of course I wouldn't advise anybody to watch it. The language in it is unbelievable. But the scene I remember the most in that movie is when Will in the movie played by Matt Damon is sitting there talking to Robin Williams who's a counselor, psychiatrist, professor. And Will is a genius. I mean, his IQ is probably 180, 200, whatever it is in the movie. He is an absolute genius. And so, he looks at a painting uh in Robin Williams office and just kind of
tears it apart and interprets his life, but he has no idea what he's talking about. That is Robin Williams wife had died of cancer whom he loved dearly. like I mean it it destroyed him and he was also a Vietnam vet who had been through all that and PTSD. Anyway, when they sit down on the bench after they have their big division, their big argument and he said, Robert Williams says to him, one one thing dawned on me. He said, "We could talk about war and you could probably list all the wars and d you could give me all the information on the history of wars of mankind." He said, "But you've never been in one. You've never watched your best friend take their their last breath while you held them in your arms." He said, "You might tell me everything about Michelangelo." He said, "But you've never stood in the cyine chapel and looked up at that beautiful painting or smelled what it smelled like in there." You see, the thing about Matt Damon's character there was he had a lot of knowledge, but he didn't have wisdom. He didn't have experience. He didn't have understanding. and it made him extremely arrogant. But that little conversation took him back down to reality. It's like, "Son, you know a lot of stuff, but you hadn't lived it yet." And this is where Christians are. So many Christians, they know a lot of stuff, but because they never sold out all the way to Jesus and learned to be led by the Holy Spirit and took the risk and stepped out of the boat, they've never walked on the water. and they have remained babes. And that's why po the apostle Paul in Hebrews chapter 5 told him, he said, "The time has come. You ought to be teachers. But now you need someone teach you again the basic foundational principles." Why? Because you've never stepped out of the boat enough to gain the experience, the understanding, the wisdom, the discernment to really walk in this thing. You've got to learn to walk by the the spirit, be led by the spirit. Hear what the Holy Spirit is saying to do. See, this is why I love y'all, but I don't care what y'all think about me. I don't I will not compromise what I know the Lord tells me to to do. And if the Lord tells me to do it, I'm going to do it.
Well, Pastor Dean, you know, there ain't no way you're getting elected. I don't care whether I get elected or not. The Lord didn't tell me you're going to get elected. He said, "Just do what I say." And you know what's amazing is in that little debate the other night and in the debates we had in the in the gubanatorial race, if I hadn't have been involved, they would have let these lying, deceiving, selfserving devil politicians get away with stuff. Did you notice? Did anybody else question anybody on anything or call anybody out on anything? I mean, it's almost like, hey, let's give them a free pass. Keep letting them get through. No, let me tell you that you we saw the scriptures fulfilled the other night in that debate because when it was over, Wes Allen ran out the door like somebody was chasing him. And you saw the scripture, the righteous are bold as a lion, and the wicked flee when no man pursues them. And you say, "Pastor Dean, you shouldn't call him wicked or a devil." Oh, no. He's wicked. He's a devil. He's a pretender. And I don't mind. Oh, you're just too much, pastor. Yeah, I know. I know. Jesus looked at the Pharisees and said, "You blind guides. You whitewash tombs full of dead men's bones. You extort women, widows. You take their money. You love to be seen in public in your fancy clothes. You love the chief seats. I mean, all we you you could take Matthew 23 and everything Jesus said to the Pharisees and go, "This defines what a politician is." Politician. And I and I've said this, there's only two there's only two things. You say Democrats, Republican, independents, libertarian. No. There's none of that. There's Christian patriots and then there's pretending self-serving politicians. That's it. That's the only the only two issues that we got right there. And our country is being destroyed because of people who are lying, self-serving, corrupt pretenders who fake people out every election.
And because the human weakness, we want a king. We want a king. We want a king. But we don't care about letting God choose. We want to we we we got an idea. This is what we want. And then we we these guys, they will they will make sure that they they got the full description pedigree of everything you think you want, right? But it's all to just get there so they can make themselves rich, have power. I'm telling you, it is a it is get getting into this last time and this time I never I knew it was bad. Everybody politics is horrible. Yeah, I know. But you don't really know until you get involved in it and you start watching these people and meeting all these people and being in the meetings with all these people and your daughter hearing them. See, they they don't realize faith is standing around sometimes and she hears what they say and do. She's my little spy. She has been since she was what? How old are you? 10, 11, 12. She's been telling me stuff. She told me stuff the other night. I heard this one. I was like, "Yeah, it's like they ignore kids and talk. Didn't realize it was my kid, I guess." But you find out stuff. You find out what's really going on. And man is our is our country messed up. And in and and really ultimately God is going to lay the blame for how our country has turned out at the threshold of the church in America because the politicians basically became what the pastors became self-serving money hungry wanting everybody to like them, not telling the truth. This became the model of building a big church in America. And as that became the model, so goes the nation. Because it's the pull pits that used to thunder in America the truth and hold the politicians accountable. But now the politicians are in the pull pit and that is why the the most corrupt become our leaders.
We have allowed it. We've allowed it because we are weak. Let me give you some more. Y'all want some more scripture real quick? Isaiah 56. talking about what I was just talking about the pastors Isaiah 56:10-12 his watchmen are blind they are all ignorant means without knowledge they are all dumb dogs and what he means is silent they cannot bark they e even a a a dog warns you of danger but he said these are dumb dogs. They can't speak. They can't They are no good to you. All they do is eat. They don't do their job to warn you of danger. And then he says, "Sleeping, lying down, loving to slumber." And then he says about these pastors and ministers, "Yay, they are greedy dogs which can never have enough. I need a $60 million new plane." He said, "They're greedy. They could never have enough. They are shepherds that cannot understand. They all look to their own way. Oh gosh. Everyone for his gain from his quarter or his territory. They're just looking for gain. They're looking for money. And it says, "Come ye, say they, I will fetch wine, and we will fill ourselves with strong drink, and tomorrow shall be as this day, and much more abundant." You ask what y'all don't know. A lot of these places, a lot of these pastors are drinking it up, man. They're not sipping saints anymore. Guzzling saints. This is America. This describes America's church, 99% of it, to a T. He tells him this. I love this here. Go back to go to Jeremiah 5. Jeremiah was sent to a a backsliden people and they didn't like Jeremiah either. The priests didn't like him. The prophets didn't like him. The kings didn't like him. They didn't like Jeremiah at all. And Jeremiah 5:3 says, 'Oh Lord, are not thine eyes upon the truth. Thou hast stricken them, but they have not grieved. Thou hast consumed them, but they have refused to receive correction.
They have made their faces harder than a rock. They have refused to return. Therefore said I, Surely these are poor. They are foolish, for they know not the way of the Lord, nor the judgment of their God. Hear now this, oh foolish people, and without understanding, which have eyes and see not, and have ears and hear not. Boy, he's describing America. And then this is another thing. So many within America have rejected the scriptures, end time message warning. When it falls upon them, it's going to catch them like a thief in the night. You hear me? You wait to see panic, fear, confusion, disillusion. Just wait till it drops on them because they have not loved the word of God. They have not loved the warning, the correction, the instruction. They have listened to blind guides. They have listened to pillow prophets that are just sewing little pillows to put their little elbows on to make everybody comfortable. That's from Ezekiel 13, by the way. He says this in Proverbs 31 through32. He said, "They would none of my counsel." Well, basically he said they would not, that means they would not receive my counsel. They despised all my reproof. Therefore shall they eat of the fruit of their own way and be filled with their own devices. For the turning away of the simple shall slay them, and the prosperity of fools shall destroy them. Prosperity without knowledge will destroy you. Prosperity without knowledge is what's happening. Let's back up to Jeremiah 4:22. This what God said through the prophet, for my people is foolish. They have not known me. They are sadish children. They have none understanding. They are wise to do evil, though, but to do good they have no knowledge. They're wise in their evil schemes and mischief. But to do what God wants, to know what even to even know what God wants. He says they are foolish, stupid. You know, the King James doesn't use the word stupid, but it uses several words that mean that, right? brutish, sodish.
But look, for most people, it's not again, it's not that the information that they need to know is not available. What we what we discover is that when you study to show yourself approved, when you do the research, when you dig into the word of God, when you look into history and archaeology and prophecy, when you look into current events, news, real news, what's really going on in the world, when you dig into it and compare it to the scriptures and what the scriptures foretold, you can know, you can know what's going on. You can know what the truth is. And then if you have the Holy Spirit in you, he has promised. Jesus promised if you have the Holy Spirit in you, he will lead you and guide you into all truth. But you have to let him because you can resist the Holy Spirit, you can quench the Holy Spirit, you can grieve the Holy Spirit. That's what the Bible says. Calvinism teaches you can't even resist the Holy Spirit. That's not biblical. You can quench, grieve, and resist. That's that's the three terms the Bible uses about. You have to allow the Holy Spirit to lead you because you have a free will. You can say no and resist. He can stir up the gifts within you. You can say uh-uh quench it. You can he can convict you about, you know, you're about to sin and he's he starts convicting you and you go ahead and do it. You grieve him. There's actually people think that you can't if once you're a Christian, you can't sin. What? But this is what I'm saying again. It all comes back to do you know the Bible. And here's the thing. I don't know why we get all our panties in wad when someone might actually know the scriptures better than us. See, there's a lot of people that got a lot of spiritual pride. I know it. Well, maybe somebody comes along might know it better than you do, right? And it takes humility to be able to receive it and recognize when somebody does know more than you know about something. I want you to go go I think we were in 19, but go back to Proverbs 19. I want to go down to this verse here. this these few little this is just so good right here. He says here counsel uh yeah Proverbs 19 20 and 21. He says hear counsel and receive instruction that thou mayest be wise in thy latter end. There are many devices in a man's heart. Nevertheless, the council of the Lord that shall stand.
See all these little mocking little foolish Christians out here they mocking. I'm going to tell you when they stand before God and he's going to look at them and say, "You didn't believe." Genesis chapter 1, Job chapter 38, Job chapter 26, what Jesus said about the stars falling to the earth, about the heavens being rolled back as a scroll, about the earth being still at rest. You didn't believe that. You were ashamed of that. You tried to incorporate the world's cosmology into all this and therefore you lost 84% of your kids when you sent them off to the secular universities. Blood's upon your hands. Blood's upon your hands. It's that simple. The council of the Lord shall stand. What is his counsel? This book and nothing else. I gave my life to Jesus and did nothing that I planned to do myself. I surrendered it because I believe every word of this is the inspired, infallible, inherent words of the living God that he wanted man to have. And man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of God. That's what Jesus said. how you live. The moment you depart from the council of the Lord is where death and destruction and problems enter in. Either all of God's word is true or none of it is true. This is what I've been trying to get across to these people. Say, "Well, Pastor Dean, do you believe you have to believe flat earth to go to heaven?" No. I I was saved and ready to go before that. However, if you're a teacher, preacher, minister, leader, and what you have taught has been false and it has caused others to stumble, then you are in big trouble, and you better repent of it and ask God's forgiveness and get yourself on the right track. I think about that that I could not get out of my mind since Wednesday. 84% we lose. And it's because we have not stood upon the council of God alone. We have tried to put man's theories,
ideas, doctrines, cosmology within. We've tried to mix it with God's word. We've tried to explain away God's word. And we've hurt people in the process. Hurt them, caused them to stumble. This is why it's so important to read Proverbs, y'all. It's so important to read Proverbs and to understand how important it is to get the wisdom, the counsel, the knowledge, the understanding of God. I mean, put put up Proverbs um what is it? Three. 5-6. 5 through 7. Yeah. Starting in verse five. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not unto thy own understanding. In all thy ways. Somebody say all. All thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy path. Be not wise in thine own eyes. Fear the Lord, and depart from evil. That's it. The knowledge of God, the experience, and see Let me just say this to even even to my daughter and to others, Aiden, to Ben, to the younger ones. None of us, your parents, me as your pastor or maybe one of your pastors or whatever. None of us want you to believe anything just because we say so. Nobody. We want you to examine the scriptures, the evidence, the prophecies, the history, the archaeology. We want you to read the Bible for yourself. And we want you, our prayer for you. We can't do it for you, but our prayer for you is that you come to know Jesus in a real way, in a in a experiential way. that it's not just academic, that it's not just because mom and dad said so.
It's not just because grandma said so that you are convicted of your own sins and you have the revelation that you need Jesus as your savior and lord and redeemer and that you call upon him and that you develop your own relationship with him. Because see, it's not what you do in front of mom and dad. It's what you do in private. Who you are in private is who you are. We want you to to find the Lord yourself. And that's something you have to do. You have to seek him. You have to go, okay? You know, I mean, yeah, your parents, it's our job to try to live the best we can in front of you and instruct you and share with you truth, but ultimately, you have to know the Lord for yourself. You have to seek him for yourself. You have to learn and develop a relationship with him yourself. And we hope you do that, but I can't make you do it. People like to point at pastors sometimes because pastor's kids go the other direction. And let me tell you, let let's just say there's a lot of pastors that they've they've lived a good example in front of their kids and they still go the other way, the other direction. A lot of that's because they have seen how their parents as pastors were treated by church folk, right? and they don't like it and they've and they it was painful for them so they run away. Um but ultimately it doesn't matter whether you're a pastor's kid or you're not. You got to find Jesus for yourself. You got to seek him. You got to you got to ask and keep asking and knock and keep knocking and seek and keep seeking until you have a revelation until he reveals himself to you. Until you have an encounter, till you meet him. And if you meet him like I met him, nobody can talk you out of it. There's no argument. There's no theory. There's no uh NASA image. Uh there's no there's nothing that can talk you out of it because you know it's true. You know that you know that you know down deep beyond just knowledge or information. In fact, I can tell you this right now. If all Christianity was was believing a creed and ha and having head knowledge of something, I would not be doing this today. You understand? If I hadn't have had the power of Jesus, the presence of Jesus, the the voice of the Lord, if I hadn't learned to hear
his voice, I wouldn't have been able to continue to do this. nor would I have wanted to. You understand? I would do what the flesh and my own will wanted to do. But because he's real, I'm willing to die for that relationship to not deny him or reject him or embarrass him or make him ashamed. I've asked the Lord, too. If I'm going to embarrass you, if I'm going to bring shame to your name, if I'm going to fall, I'd rather you take me out beforehand so I can be with you. I don't want to miss being with you. I love you. I have known the presence and the peace and the joy of walking in a relationship with Jesus. I I don't, you know, I don't want to miss out. That's why Paul said, you know what? I my my hope is I make this thing I've been preaching, right? That I don't end up being a castaway. But that's what it's about. That's all it's about. And if you surrender to him, you get to know Jesus like that. Guess what? Nobody had to tell me at 19, read the Bible. I couldn't get enough. Nobody had to tell me to study the Bible. I read the part said, "Study." Oh, okay. Let me dig a little deeper. Let me start studying. Nobody had to tell me go to church. Nobody had to tell me find time to pray. Nobody had to tell me find, you know, some elders and some people to help you. Nobody had to tell me that because I read it. I said, "Oh, that's how this works." Oh, you need to be baptized in the Holy Ghost and speak in other tongues and pray in tongues and sing in tonesues. Okay. I thank God I didn't have anybody to talk me out of it. I would just read it and go, "Hey, I didn't have anybody behind me going," you got to do this, you got to do that, you got to do this, you got to do that. My parents were not even saved walking with Jesus at that time. But because I knew Jesus and spent time with him, he revealed himself to me. That's why at 19 years old, I could say, "Lord, I'm going with you. I'm walking away from the modeling contract. I'm walking away from Hollywood, the movies, all the stuff I was going to be in and be rich and famous, and all that, the drugs, the fornication, the pornography, the lust. I'm walking away from all that because you have a plan for my life."
And I knew it was far better than how I'd been living. That's the only way. It was real. So don't get me wrong. If you if you hadn't had that, I don't I you know, we try to monitor everybody's behavior and make everybody behave like a Christian. Well, let me just go on and tell you, a goat's going to act like a goat. It's got to be changed into a new creature, transformed into a sheep. You understand? And we want goats to act like sheep. It's not going to happen. They have to be converted. They have to be born again. They have to surrender. And this is what we must tell the world too, the Christian world. I mean, if if 30 years ago in the Barner research group said over half the people in church that attended church regularly weekly, over half of them admitted when it was defined what it meant to be born again, the supernatural experience of surrendering your life to Jesus and that confirmation from the Holy Spirit. Half the people, 50% admitted they attended church every week, they were not born again. And I guarantee you most of them, most of the politicians that attend church every week are not born again either because they don't mind lying, stealing, slandering. They don't care. And if that you could do that and it doesn't bother you, something's wrong. You're not a Christian. So you can get your panties in the wat if you want to.
