lord we thank you lord we sent your presence here today lord everybody just lift up your voices and and pray for just a minute and ask the lord to send his glory here this morning to send his presence and his power to speak to us to let the word build faith in us lord let your word stir us lord to step out into new areas of faith to step out on the water with jesus to do some things that are supernatural lord to minister life and healing and deliverance and salvation to people around us lord we we know god that you want the ministry of jesus to continue through your people lord we thank you for that lord i'm just praying over this whole congregation everyone here god young and old it doesn't matter all in between those listening today lord we just ask you lord god to move us god into a fresh anointing into a fresh infilling of the holy ghost into a fresh level of faith no matter what uh crazy stuff we've seen out there in the in the christian church world when it comes to healing and deliverance and the supernatural god you're still a supernatural god you're still oh god the same god who created the heavens and the earth you're still the same jesus who cast out demons and healed the sick and raised the dead and and caused the to walk and lord we thank you lord that you still do that today and lord god that you're going to touch and heal people god even in this room lord god we're going to believe for healing to flow and we're going to believe for your power to flow no matter how many false prophets are working out there no matter how many false demonic miracles are happening jesus christ is the same yesterday today and forever and so lord we praise you and we invite you here and we thank you lord for your mercy and we thank you for your love and we thank you for your power that you will give to those who believe we pray that this morning in jesus name and amen hallelujah i tell you what i'm kind of fired up this morning it took a little while the devil does not like preachers to preach on what i'm going to preach on this morning or talk about it because guess what faith comes by hearing and hearing by the word of god amen and i believe this about every true christian every true born-again christian that's walking with god should walk in the supernatural you hear me every true born-again christian should be filled with the holy ghost and speak in other tongues every born-again christian should lay their hands on the sick and see them recover in the mighty name of jesus every born-again christian should cast demons out of people that
are having trouble with demons amen every born-again believer has the power and i'm going to show you this morning in the word every born-again believer has the power of god if we would just believe the word of god and act on it we have the power and authority through jesus to do the works that he did to raise the dead to see the crippled walk the blind see the death here to see cancer disappear and every other disease disappear because jesus christ has not changed and his ministry continues through his church that will believe now notice i added that we'll believe there's a great portion of the church world that does not believe this and the devil is always at war with our faith he's always trying to get even those of us that believe to to doubt or to get weak or to get so involved in the flesh or sin that we can't operate in the supernatural but that is not what god wants god wants us to move forward and set the captives free i don't care how many people that you've prayed for and maybe they didn't get healed or how many people you tried to minister to and they didn't get free that's not the issue god's word is still true no matter if we do it perfectly right every time or not amen yeah that's either we're going to believe god's word is true well i prayed for somebody and they didn't get healed well does that mean god's word is not true or what maybe there's something wrong with you maybe there was something in the situation that we didn't know about maybe just wasn't enough information but the bottom line is god's word is true i'm going to read something i found one of my old books that's been missing for over 20 years [Music] i found it out at my aunt's house stuck in a an old hutch i've been wondering where this book went off to this is a revival uh why revival terry's by leonard ravenhill was written in 1959 it's a classic on revival he's one of the great revivalists this guy was mentors to some of the greatest preachers that ever lived david wilkerson steve hill the evangelist of the brownsville revival dr michael brown this man was a mentor to those people he was close friends with a.w tozer matter of fact a.w tozer wrote the forward to this book um but he's got some great chapter titles in this book i want to give you a few chapter titles before i read the little excerpt i'm going to read with all thy chapter one with all thy getting get unction prayer grasp eternity where are the elijahs of god revival in a boneyard revival tarries because the chapter that i'm about to read a portion from unbelieving believers wanted prophets for a day of doom
fire begets fire the prodigal church in a prodigal world as the church goes so goes the world and of course the last one known in hell and there are many others it's a great book if you have never read it you would do well to read it but in chapter 8 the title unbelieving believers i'm just going to read the first paragraph because it's so powerful and this man was a man of prayer preached in many revivals he was british but he came to live here in america for many years he died i think it was in 1994. this is what he says one of these days some simple soul will pick up the book of god read it and believe it then the rest of us will be embarrassed we have adopted the convenient theory that the bible is a book to be explained whereas first and foremost it is a book to be believed and after that to be obeyed can somebody say amen i'm going to read that again he said one of these days some simple soul will pick up the book of god read it and believe it then the rest of us will be embarrassed we have adopted the convenient theory that the bible is a book to be explained whereas first and foremost it is a book to be believed and after that to be obeyed you hear me believe do we truly believe the bible see for the most part i'm just going to tell you most churches and most christians say they believe the bible but they do not believe the bible and most preachers today in some of these big churches who went to bible college should be ashamed of themselves because they want to talk about exegesis and hermeneutics and homiletics and all their fancy words and yet they don't apply them to the truth when it comes to the truth of the gifts of the holy spirit and the healing power of god and that jesus christ has not changed they don't apply it therefore they are intellectual hypocrites okay because my bible says and we're going to turn there to start out but hebrews chapter 13. turn there with me and pardon me i get a little fired up so those of you aren't used to that i'm sorry but i get a little fired up but if you're not passionate about about the bible then it's time to get passionate amen hebrews chapter 13. we're gonna look at verse seven and eight and nine let's just read those everybody with me i want you to see it for yourselves
i don't want you to think pastor dean's just making this stuff up all right everybody ought to know this verse but it seems like the theologians and most churches decided they don't believe this all right let's look at it go lay a foundation verse 7 remember them which has have the rule over you who have spoken unto you the word of god whose faith follow i still see people turning hebrews toward the back near james don't get there again it's important to look at the scriptures we've gotten spoiled with ipads and ipods and iphones and screens where people put the scriptures up for you but this church we need to look at them amen all right hebrews 13 verse 7 he says remember them which have the rule over you or your elders in the church who have spoken unto you the word of god whose faith follow whose faith follow that would be peter james john paul right he said whose faith follow considering the end of their conversation and what is the end of their conversation jesus christ verse 8 jesus christ the same yesterday today and forever boy if you don't have that verse memorized and you don't have that verse underlined in your bible you said jesus christ is the same yesterday today and forever now listen folks we're going to look at this in in in depth today but i want to say this when jesus came and began his ministry after he was baptized and filled with the holy spirit he went out into the wilderness he was tempted of the devil 40 days fasting it says he returned to galilee in the power of the spirit and he began to do three things he began to teach the word of god with the anointing and power of the holy ghost that brought conviction he began to heal the sick every manner of sickness and disease and he began to cast out demons that is what jesus christ did and he said that the cross was about destroying the works of the devil right that's what it says in the book of first john right that jesus came to destroy the works of the devil now i'm going to show you some scriptures but i want these things to seek in he says what jesus christ the same yesterday today and forever and then the next verse he says
be not carried about with divers and strange doctrines any doctrine that comes along and and contradicts what we just read that jesus christ is the same yesterday today and forever is a strange doctrine see we've got baptist churches and methodist churches and presbyterian churches in lutheran churches and now even some so-called pentecostals basically saying that jesus doesn't heal anymore they're casting out demons we don't do that anymore that tongues have ceased that we don't prophesy anymore that people don't hear from god anymore wait a minute hebrews is telling us if you hear something that like jesus has changed that's a diverse and strange doctrine because let me ask a question these same people will tell you that jesus is risen from the dead that he's seated at the right hand of the father and that we are the body of christ on earth that he lives and dwells within his church now if he lives and dwells within his church then did he change listen if he lives and dwells within me and within you then we should be doing the works that jesus did now granted we have things to learn we are not jesus and we are not perfect and we don't have it all fully understood yet but we need to get like peter and we need to get out there and walk on the water a little bit amen you don't ever you won't ever see anybody healed if you don't step out of the boat and lay your hands on them believing they will be healed and can i just say something there's a big big big difference in believing that god can do something and then believing that god will do it when you pray you hear me oh people say all the time oh god can do anything but they never see any manifestation of god's power because really they believe god can but deep down in their heart but i'm not sure if he will for me or not i'm not sure if he will in this situation that's doubt folks we have to believe it when we pray now listen folks and then i alluded to this a minute ago folks want to criticize out there the church world wants to criticize people who believe that jesus hasn't changed and that jesus wants to heal the sick and cast out demons and administer power through his people they think that's somehow weird right i don't understand that now i'm going to show you the scriptures to prove it here in a sec but i don't even understand that but let me just say this remember the story of peter and this is in matthew 14 and in mark i'm not going to turn there but the story of
peter walking on the water i mean it's probably one of the most well-known stories in the bible right they're in the boat all 12 disciples they're in the boat and they're out there in the third watch of the night and jesus comes walking on the water in the midst of the storm and they think it's a spirit they get afraid and then peter just up and says lord i mean this is a crazy idea he says in the middle of a storm lord if that's you then invite me out let me do this too see this is why i like peter let me do it like little kids like faith does with me daddy let me do it i want to do it cause he wants to help me put out the chairs every sunday morning let me do it guess what god likes that she wants to go grab the the stuff when it prints off the little sheet she wants to go and get i said look at that little helper and see here's one let me just say this let me let me just get this across to you yes i could put the chairs out by myself and yes we could go get the the sheets off but you know what i let her help because i want to instill in her a good work ethic and a good you know sense of giving and that's so it's a good trait did not god say we are joint we are co-laborers with christ he doesn't have to let us heal the sick and cast out demons and raise the dead and but he wants us to want to and if we'll step out there he set things up if we'll step out there and believe it and act upon it with him he'll do it sometimes now will he do it every time that's his choice but guess what i'm supposed to step out there on the water now remember peter stepped out there on the water and he as long as he had his eyes on jesus he was doing fine but then he got his eyes off jesus and started looking around him at the circumstances at the storm around him and he started to sink and of course he just he began to sink in the storm and he probably would have drowned and so he said cried out lord save me and it says jesus reached down and picked him up and of course they went back to the boat together now now let me say this the people out there in this world and even in this christian world that want to criticize people like us who believe in healing they want to criticize us when someone doesn't get healed or they want to criticize us when something doesn't work out but let me tell you this i heard an old preacher say this years ago i'd rather be a wet water walker than a dry boat rider amen i'd rather get out of the boat into the miraculous realm and make a mess sometimes and make a mistake sometimes and then never step out and never do anything and never see anything miraculous amen you'll never raise somebody from the dead in the name of jesus unless you step out and pray for somebody that's dead whoa
you'll never see a deaf person healed of their deafness unless you lay hands on them and believe it and i'm not talking about stuff i've just read i remember when i was 20 years old it was probably in december or december of 1988 or january of 1989 right somewhere right in there that a deaf lady came to church after i had led her son to the lord teenager to the lord so the parents came to church one sunday and i was preaching and they both got saved the whole family ended up getting saved i baptized the boy in his bathtub at their house and they got saved and the woman was deaf and about two weeks later on a wednesday night in church she came up for prayer and i laid hands on her and i remember there was somebody standing next to me and said do you are you getting anything from the lord and i said i know she's going to be healed and i laid my hands on her said the name of jesus ears be open hearing come back i totally believed it and i'd been fasting after that i just had a three-week fast and i came off of that three-week fast and i just in my i knew it i didn't i didn't it wasn't that i believed god could do it i believe god was going to do it right then when i prayed i believed it before i saw it i mean i can tell you i said it will happen she will be healed in jesus name and you know what happened right then nothing nothing but faith and that's always the first thing because she went home and i told her believe it believe god she read lips when she couldn't hear at all been deaf her whole life she went home her and her husband sat down on their couch he put his arm around her and he had his watch on his arm and the first thing she heard was that watch ticket and all of her hearing came back 100 percent you want to talk about one happy lady one happy family it was a treadway family i don't mind even saying their names everybody knows about that so i'm not talking about something that i haven't seen that i haven't experienced okay i've seen through my ministry at times god moving great power and what i've seen people that were terminal cancer patients bone cancer terminal nothing we can do bones so brittle they're starting to break with any pressure come and get prayer this was a this was a baptist pastor's wife in montgomery years ago came and got prayer anointed with or taught her about healing anointed her with oil said you're healed in the name of jesus she went back to the special cancer research
place they were having to do experimental stuff on her and they went back to the place in arkansas no cancer in her body not one trace of it is it is it me is it pastor dean no i'm telling you any christian any believer can step out into this water if they want to amen sometimes it takes a little fasting and a little prayer to get your faith where you'll step out and believe the word of god but this is what god wants us to do he wants us to believe and sometimes you've got to believe so much that you make the other person who's struggling with doubt make them believe so that you that they can receive it listen i'm not the one people get criticized people talk about well you say the person didn't get healed because they didn't have enough faith sometimes that is the case how many times in the new testament that jesus said according to your faith be it unto you when he saw their faith right believing it listen to me faith is believing something before you see the physical results of it amen god we've got to get that let me give you the proof of that before we go further into this because i know we'll have some people listening and that needs some of their need some answers for some things but go to mark mark chapter 11. you know while you're turning to mark 11. i mean again this is why you got to know the word of god you got to believe the word of god people come over the years have come to to me and to prayer groups that we were involved in and churches we were involved in and said please will you pray for us i take that very seriously i take it very seriously and just while you're turning to that i mean this is one that was just this is a testimony that happened when i pastored the church in in montgomery way back in the mid 90s we had prayer at that time every monday night later we moved it to wednesday nights but we had prayer every monday night and i mean we really prayed and i remember a lady came in and she said my friend is in the hospital and she's got some type of disease i don't know what the disease was i mean you nurses may know what the disease was but she was bleeding out of every orifice of her body out of her eyes out of her ear she
was bleeding out she had some type of strange disorder and i mean she was she was in uh in a coma she was in intensive care and she was dying they told her family that she had three or four days to live at the most so this friend of hers came to church now you got to remember i've never laid eyes on this woman i never saw her i didn't i never didn't know her but this friend of hers came in very sad and very upset and said well will you please pray and i said we're going to pray but if we pray we're going to believe and then we're going to believe that she will receive a miracle tonight so we all began to pray and we were praying with all of our heart and i began to pray this scripture and i know it was the holy spirit gave me this scripture and i began to pray this scripture over her from psalm 118 he said you will not die but live and declare the works of the lord i'm going to speak that word over her you will not die but live and declare the works of the lord so guess what happened i prayed that spoke that word over i said in the name of jesus she's healed i believe it i hope every one of you agree with me i believe she's healed a few days later her friend came back to me and said this is what happened she was in a coma in icu she said she this is the lady's testimony after she came out of the coma healed she said that she felt death creeping up her feet that she was aware she couldn't speak or she couldn't move but she was aware of what was going on and she said she felt death creeping up her feet and she said then she looked around the room and she said all of a sudden she saw four angels at each corner of the room and she saw these four angels standing there they're getting ready to battle death my friend and said someone leaned over her and she said i don't know if it was an angel of the lord but i know it was the lord because you know what i asked the lord i said lord you go in there and lay hands on her and heal her please and she said a voice leaned over now i've had no communication with her she said this voice said to her you will live and not die and declare the works of the lord and this baptist lady was totally and instantly healed at that moment and got up out of that bed and went home in a few days and began to testify all over the area of god's miraculous power in that incident listen this is the supernatural jesus supernatural ministry continues to this day and it's supposed to continue through us but we have to believe that he will do it when we pray not that he can do it amen we got to move from hope to faith hoping is just saying well i hope god will do it sometime in the future that is not faith faith says in the name of jesus i believe it's done when i pray
oh god help us listen if you don't believe let's read this in mark so you'll believe me i don't care how much people hate the faith movement and some of them have gotten off base but that doesn't disagree faith and the teaching about biblical faith and exercising faith versus exercising doubt and unbelief right just because they're they've gotten off and trying to use their faith for for mansions and and bmws and mercedes they're going to answer to god for that amen that shouldn't make us run away from the truth of scripture amen all right amen are old me all right look at verse 22 mark 11 24 jesus answering said unto them have faith in god now think about that for a second let's just stop and think remember it's good to stop and think he already talking to people who were his disciples who had already left everything to follow him who believed he was the christ the son of the living god who had already been anointed and went out and preached the gospel of repentance and already gone out and anointed people with oil healed the sick and cast out demons so it wasn't that you didn't have faith he was saying you need to understand that even if you are in the faith you got to have faith for other things and your faith for the supernatural can get weak and dull and dry and that's what he was saying to people who already had faith in god he said have faith in god it almost sounds like a contradiction doesn't unless we know what did jesus just do he just cursed the fig tree right he spoken to the fig tree right because he went to find fruit on the fig tree and he said that he didn't find any fruit and made him mad so he cursed the fig tree said nothing growing you henceforth forever and the next day they come back and the fig trees dried up and withered and what was jesus showing them the power of the spoken word if you believe it and you speak it the power of the spoken word of god and that's why he told them have faith have faith in god have faith in what have faith that you can operate in the supernatural by what you speak in jesus name and believe and i'm not talking about for the lottery amen but you can know you're in the will of god when you're talking about for someone's salvation for someone's healing for someone's deliverance you don't have to worry about being off if that's what you're having faith in and that's what you're speaking toward amen let's read he said have faith in god mark 11 22 for verily or truly i say unto you that whosoever shall say unto this
mountain be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass he shall have whatsoever he saith what's the mountain represent anything that's in your way sickness can be in your way of doing the will of god amen or are providing for your family sickness is not of god do you hear me i'll show you that in a second but it's not of god it's an enemy just like he said death is an enemy it's to be resisted it's to be fought so he says let's read it again listen kenneth hagin didn't write this verse kenneth copeland didn't write this verse jesse duplantis and anybody else that's been in the faith or prosperity you have to understand it's in the bible it's in the red there is truth there no matter how much you might be against the prosperity and faith movement they do have some truth you just got to eat the hay and spit out the sticks right that's it's real simple all right let's let's look at it again for verily i say unto you this is jesus that whosoever whosoever shall say unto this mountain be thou removed and be thou cast into the sea and shall not doubt in his heart but shall believe that those things which he saith shall come to pass he believes that the things that he says will come to pass believes it totally believes it not hoping it will happen believing he says he will have whatsoever he says now look at verse 24 is the key therefore i say unto you what things soever you desire when you pray believe that you receive them and you shall have them look he tells you when you have to believe it before you get it is this in the bible okay this is why we don't see the supernatural this is something i told you know marlene i don't guess you'll mind me telling because i marlene you know went through a powerful deliverance some demonic strongholds left her and god healed her body of some problems that she had but afterwards i told her the bible says when you cast a spirit out it says they always get seven more and try to come back and get back in so you're going to be attacked again from the outside it's different when they have a stronghold inside but you're going to be attacked again and i told her i said you're going to have to stand and you're going to have to bind those devils and resist them and make them go well she had a little struggle with that in the beginning because she had a little battle with fear that she is conquering
but she had a little battle with fear when it would come back when the demons would come back and try to make her doubt and believe that she wasn't free and she was going to have to keep this problem and so she would call us and that's okay because that's what pastors are here for we're here to encourage you to try to help you through those times but here's what happened though you know what i told her i said marlene there's no difference between me and you we have authority in jesus name you have the authority i have the authority we have the power to bind the demons to resist them and the bible says if we resist the devil he must flee from us right i said the only difference between me and you is that i know i believe when i say it they have to do it and they're going no matter no matter if i see it immediately or not they have to leave she was saying all the demons you need to go i remember that i'm like need to go no in jesus name you devils go from me and in your heart you go they have to go now i can't tell you how many times i've cast demons out of people and the demons were sitting there growling and spitting and foaming through their mouth and even talking through them it's made totally foreign to most churches and preachers but this is new testament christianity right and i remember commanding his spirit the lord telling me what spirit it was and commanded binding that spirit in jesus name breaking his power telling it to leave the person and i remember after i told it three or four times the lord was like just believe it and i remember oh yeah i don't have to keep repeating myself go i turn around walk off matter of fact i went and looked back at their sheet and said what's the next one and then the demon left why because i moved out of repeating myself doubting myself he said no the word of god says you have to go because i bound and used the name of jesus and i am a believer it has to go it doesn't have an option there is no option for it to stay it's got to go and i believe that with all my heart amen so are we learning something now let's look let's look at a couple of verses i want to show you something go to john 14. because you know there are people out there that say well you know after the apostles passed away healings and miracles stopped that is the most foolish unbiblical unscriptural teaching that's that's just about ever been put on the body of christ whoever thought that one up is probably in hell right now because you know what a lot of believers because they didn't learn the truth from their pastors and their leaders died before they were supposed to see the stuff i'm talking about is life and death when it comes to healing
sometimes when it comes to sickness and disease when it comes to demonic contamination possession whatever you want to call it oppression if you don't get free from it it can cost you your life i know i can tell you stories the people didn't listen and they're dead now okay but this is jesus speaking to his disciples john 14 and let's look at verse 11 and 12. this is for all the quasi-theologians out there okay these words are in red right jesus speaking he said believe me that i am in the father and the father in me or else believe me for the very work sake remember jesus said when he was healing the sick and doing miracles he called that his works right so he's talking about that but then he adds this little scripture that everyone should know jesus said in verse 12 here verily verily or truly truly i say unto you he that believeth on me the works that i do shall he do also and greater works in these shall he do because i go into my father he that believeth on me what's amazing about that ver that word believe it there it is a present tense greek verb which means an ongoing continuous action that is taking place in the present so what are you saying there is he that believeth did he put any conditions on that verse no no conditions whatsoever he that believeth on me the works that i do shall he do also to me this is one of the most unfathomable things that jesus said that jesus said if you believe in him and the word believe doesn't just mean mental ascent it means to trust in to rely on to cling to jesus to have intimacy with him and to be continuous in that walk with him so he's saying those who walk with me who have faith in me who rely on me who trust in me who believe my word above what they see you got to believe god's word no matter what you see i love what some of the old ministers the old healing evangelists like smith wigglesworth you say he said i'm not moved by what i see i'm moved by what i believe the word of god is true no matter what you see and no matter what you believe and no matter what is going on around you the word of god is truth and it is supreme above all reality [Applause] amen i don't care if i'm dying of cancer the word of god says by his stripes we
were healed and therefore in jesus christ i can have healing in my body i don't have to die of cancer as a young man amen death is an enemy early death is an enemy and god said my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge the devil comes to steal kill and destroy that's his business don't let him the works that i do shall he do also in greater works and these listen this this christian right here this pastor this minister even though i've seen some of those things i'm still hungry and want more amen and i believe it listen most of the things most of the miracles that i have seen jesus do in my 25 nearly 26 years now doing this has been because of this verse i said lord you said those who believe on you the works you did they shall do also therefore i believe i can cast out demons heal the sick raise the dead see the crippled walk the blind see the deaf here i believe it and as a christian i will testify not to boast of myself because i have made more mistakes and fallen and screwed up as much as anybody else as a christian i'm not trying to say i'm sinless or holier than anybody i'm just telling you because at times in my life i've fasted and prayed and stepped out in faith i have seen the crippled walk and the dead raised and the death here now i haven't seen the blind see i didn't see a woman that was losing sight in one of her eyes it come back but not someone totally blind but jesus i know is real and his word is true and if we'll believe it we can see these things amen and see what keeps us from this a lot of times we're worried about what other people will think what if it doesn't happen stop thinking that way you need to start thinking what if it does not what if it doesn't what if it does and you really need to go beyond that you know it will it will it will it will not because i'm holy or perfect not because i'm mr righteous but because jesus said that if i would believe him and step out there and lay my hands on the sick and and cast out demons that it would happen and i believe it and i'm going to do it and i don't care what people think and i don't care if i
stumble i don't care if i fall down i don't care if i make some mistakes trying to trying to walk on the water i'll crawl i'll cry out to jesus and he'll save me amen quit worried about making a mistake some of you won't step out and pray for somebody because you're worried about it not happening or you're worried about how you'll look quit worrying about how you will look that's the devil what if they don't what if i walk in to a dead person and i say arise and they don't get up guess what god's word's still true even if you don't see the reality of that moment amen and yes i've seen the dead raised i won't even talk about that this morning god is able amen are y'all we turn to mark 16. you all right there amen i love messing with jehovah witnesses when they come to the door i always pull this out right here and i'm just going to say this if some of your bibles has well all by all translations will have this in there but your bad corrupted modern translations will have these little footnotes not in some of manuscripts or something like that let me tell you something mark 16 15-20 and actually i think they say 9-20 but mark 16 9-20 is in the original manuscripts going all the way back to the first century and to the manuscript that the king james bible was taken from and most all the reformation bibles and so on down the line so this is the devil who got in with those corrupted manuscripts and those corrupted heretical translators westcott and hort and tried to remove certain things from the bible or make you doubt them it's supposed to be there it's been there from the beginning and it does not contradict anything that's in other verses remember that's why i read john 14 verse 12 first jesus said he that believeth on me the works that i do shall he do also right so this i'm about to read is no contradiction of that principle let's read it mark 16 we'll read it verse 14. and afterward jesus or he appeared but it's jesus appeared to the eleven as they said it meet and he abraded them or rebuked them with their un unbelief and hardness of heart because they believed not them which had seen him after he was risen and he said unto them go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every
creature he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved but he that believeth not shall be damned and these signs shall follow them that believe in my name shall they cast out devils they shall speak with new tongues they shall take up serpents and this is not real snakes this is taking up demonic spirits binding them and stopping their work says if they drink any deadly thing it shall not hurt them and they shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover again john 14 did he put any restriction he said he that believeth on me the works that i do he shall do also jesus said here he that believeth and is baptized shall be saved either believeth not shall be down these signs shall follow them that believe in my name they will cast out demons speak with new tongues heal the sick take authority over demonic powers i mess with jehovah witnesses and i ask them after i have a little conversation with them for a little while about the deity of jesus and the godhead and the trinity and mess with their minds a little bit with their theology even their i even used their own messed up new world translation and show them in their own screwed up bible translation how it even it proves them wrong and then i get them to turn to this passage and it's in their bible it's in their new world translation believe it or not i love messing with them i said read that right there i actually get them to read it out loud read that and they read it and i said does that happen in your church they say no i said well it doesn't mind so why would i go to yours people get healed in my church people get delivered from demons people get baptized in the holy spirit speak in tongues and operate the gifts of the spirit why would i want to go to your church but guess what that goes for a whole lot of other churches out there too paul made this statement in in second timothy chapter three verse five he said in the last days perilous times would come right in the beginning of the chapter and then he said this he said they would have a form of godliness but deny the power thereof from such turn away y'all need to hear this you can turn it if you want to i just i've preached it so much i've quoted it so much he said they will have a form of godliness that means an outward form of christianity but deny that word deny means to refuse or neglect or reject
or renounce he said they will have a form of godliness it'll look like christianity but they will reject the dunamis power of the holy ghost and it says if they do that now listen this is radical but this is bible he says if they do that turn away from them god i don't understand people that go to dead churches you know our church is not perfect but i can tell you there's one thing we're trying to press on into something else besides being dead amen we got a long way to go we haven't apprehended everything we can apprehend of god but but i want to tell you i'd rather be in a church trying to get there than one that has no desire whatsoever to move in the power of god and the gifts of the holy spirit in the supernatural ministry of jesus listen people are dying they're suffering because they're of sickness and disease and demons there are people out there there are christians who are dried up and thirsty because they don't know they can be filled with the holy ghost and have a living river of water flowing up out of them and pray in tongues and sing in tongues and and have that wonderful gift of the holy spirit because the church world has robbed them the church world has robbed him and so now they're getting into contemplative prayer and eastern religions and tampering with yoga and meditation demonic meditation because they're trying to find some kind of peace and yet god said in isaiah 28 that it's with stammering lips and another tongue that he would give peace and he would speak to his people and give them rest although they want to have anything to do with tongues and yet the bible talks about it very clearly oh sorry i'm fired up like i said i would rather be a wet water walker than a dry boat rider amen i think about pastors out there who don't believe in casting out demons and they spend hours upon hours counseling demons in people you don't counsel demons you cast them out in jesus name and that's why many pastors they see people never ever ever get free from certain problems and issues in their lives because they have demons in them and yes christians can have demons in them it's another sermon and it's on itunes if you want to get it the power of god we need the power of god that's all i can say the the real question is how bad do we want the power of god in our lives if you want the power of god in your life then you have to do a few things
first of all you got to quit believing the doctrines of men and believe the bible i don't care how many churches and i don't care how many doctorates or degrees of theology they have beside their name the bible believe the bible number two if there's known willful sin in your life ongoing sin you're going to have to deal with that first you're going to get the sin out of your life repent ask god to forgive you and get out of it all right because there's that verse the verse i quoted about resisting the devil in james 4 7-8 there the verse i quoted and says resist the devil and he'll flee from you everybody quotes that part of it but the first part of it says this submit yourselves therefore to god then resist the devil he'll flee from are you submitted to god sexually pure not rebelling obeying god about church different stuff you hear what i'm saying a lot of people say well i want to i want the power of god but i don't want to be you know i don't want to be submitted to a church well you're going to find some stuff out there you're going to end up being easily deceived because you don't have any elders in your life right number three you got to have a prayer life when they brought the boy to jesus he was deaf and dumb and the demons were casting them on the ground and the disciples couldn't heal them the disciples were shocked because they'd already been healing people in jesus name they'd already been casting demons out but they couldn't do it with this guy and what did jesus tell him your unbelief wait a minute lord we believe in this no you your unbelief is down deep in you because prayer you don't have enough prayer and fasting it hasn't rooted unbelief out so he was telling them you hadn't prayed fast enough in your week right now see your faith in jesus is different than faith for the supernatural to walk out there in the supernatural remember peter believed in jesus while he was sitting in the boat it was a different faith that got him up and stepped out he chose to believe in the supernatural he chose to believe what jesus did i can do and i want to do it amen so there's a lot of christians that'll never have any of this because they don't want it and god won't make them people all the time say well do i have to speak in tongues and i'm like i remember what a preacher said years ago no you don't have to you get to say is it different oh do i have to look like a faith healer and lay hands on people no you don't have to you get to do you want to be a co-laborer with jesus and see the miraculous or do you want to sit on your butt in the boat and do nothing
listen god's ordained that we walk in faith and walk in the power to help somebody else amen help ourselves first of course but then we can so we can help somebody else right i don't understand christians they don't want to help somebody else you know sickness stinks all right well i guess i ought to quit
