beating alabama last night i'm talking about the i feel the presence of the lord here amen and the anointing of god and the lord i'm telling you there's a lot of things going on i just i don't know why but i just feel like i ought to share this because to me this is amazing remember how i shared probably about a year ago that the lord spoke to me and told me that our church here fire and grace church we're small church i think we usually have stayed between 20 and 30 people um but i i and you know it's been uh january 11th will be uh our five year anniversary of that the beginning of this church but the lord told me it was probably a year ago a little over a year and i've shared this many times he told me in prayer one day he said that our church was like the five loaves and the two fish and that he would take our little our little offering here of a church and he'd multiply it and feed thousands now what we we we read the story you know where jesus fed the five thousand in the bible and we forget the part that it says jesus said that he fed 5 000 basically not just total but 5 000 men not really counting the women and the children there's actually no telling we don't know how many people were there right um so we we're talking about there could have been ten thousand people there there could have been fifteen thousand people there we don't know twenty thousand uh it's not unrealistic for a crowd together like that in the open air you go to africa and crowds can gather i think reinhardt bunkey had a crowd of somewhere around 1.5 2 million people it just out in the middle of nowhere so god god can gather the people but i just wanted to share this little thing with you that i wanted to encourage you about you know your prayers and your faithfulness to to this little church and to this pastor has made an impact all over the world i just was writing some things down and doing a little looking into like the podcast the facebook pages the website youtube over the last just three months we have touched the lives and ministered to somewhere around 20 000 people just what i could look at just what i could see that means that's no telling like if somebody watched a youtube video but they watched it with a group of people and i do know there's a little church up in in maryland that has watched uh the videos that we've put out uh they've got their whole little church group together so you have no really idea but what i could count through youtube podcast facebook and our websites
20 plus thousand people i get emails from them i get phone calls from them i get uh facebook messages from them and i just want to say it's your your prayers are not in vain your faithfulness to enable us you know you guys you're giving your prayers you know kevin's hard work to make sure we can broadcast and record and and have podcasts and all that cost money and i just want to say thank you that god is using what he told me our little five loaves and two fish matter of fact what's interesting you know just the article that i wrote about the willow tree angels and the essential oils and the accursed objects thing you guys wouldn't believe that hundreds of people have read that i think it's i think it's probably over a thousand people looked at it on facebook i can't tell you how many people looked at it uh online but i'm talking about hundreds of people in australia for some reason uh the australians just love us and i i have to say i love australians as well i'd love to go to australia if i could go anywhere i'd love to go to australia for sure but anyway i got invited to preach there once but i wasn't able to go and then life changed and i couldn't go so but god is moving you guys and there is an anointing um there's an anointing for these last days and i i mean a grace an anointing a gift you know the word anointing and when the holy spirit comes to you is the term you know when jesus told the disciples in luke 24 he said you you know you're going to be endued with power from on high see this that this is what christians ought to be sold out for i mean just hungry for just seeking god for lord and do me with power from on high the power is not to sit in your house and sulk amen power is to speak power to be a witness power to cast out demons heal the sick be a light preach the gospel it's power from on how to do something power to overcome the enemy amen i thank god what jesus said when he was going to leave he said i did not leave you comfortless i'm not going to leave you alone i'm going to send the holy spirit and he's going to teach you and guide you and comfort you that's that's good news amen i just think we need to be reminded we are not alone sometimes we feel alone sometimes we feel discouraged sometimes we feel down and depressed but for the christian for the born-again christian for the christian that loves jesus loves god's word wants righteousness wants holiness wants to do the will of god god has promised that he
will not leave you comfortless he will not leave you powerless he will not leave you alone and that's why you need to remind yourself again and again and again i have power in jesus name i have the holy spirit in me i have god with me and for me and that's why i it boggles my mind the christians who want to stop at a certain place when there's so much more that we can have amen listen i've operated in all the gifts of the spirit at one time or another i've seen mighty miracles and i've been able to prophesy and see things come to pass but i am still hungry to do it more to be to have more of his spirit more of his power more of his presence and i'm just going to share something with you i feel like the lord told me to tell you it felt like it he told me this morning when i was praying and and i felt like he told me while we were in worship that the next two weeks you need to spend you need to really set these next two weeks aside and pray more than you normally pray fast more than you normally fast and meditate and read the word more than you do now i'm talking about more than normal okay let me just say this if you want a fresh anointing a fresh endowment of power from the holy spirit those fresh times of anointing come also from times of sp taking special time to be with god amen we're all busy we all have lives and we have jobs and we have children and we have issues and we're tired a lot of the time i understand that i understand now more my parents were talking about i didn't understand when i was a kid and i'm tired why are you tired because i could just go go go because i was a kid no i'm 45 now i'm tired i understand being tired right but i just feel like the lord told me that you really and not not just for your own benefit but that the next two weeks is going to be what the next two weeks you need to spend time getting closer to god because you're gonna need it okay and i'm telling you but the anointing and the peace of god is what he wants to give you a greater anointing greater peace greater confidence a just a greater sense of his presence and grace with you to do some awesome things for him amen now i feel like the lord told me to go this direction as well this morning you know sometimes i you know seek god and he gives me a series of things to do
and sometimes i just seek god week to week don't really know what he's going to do and it ends up kind of being a series and i didn't even plan it that way right but last week we talked about you know not being fearful of the things that are going to come upon us and the persecutions that we're going to face and the lord i was reading the bible last night and i read across something and we'll we might look there in just a second but i read across something and the lord just spoke to me as i stayed up for a while praying and reading and then i got up this morning but it was just very clear like you know what look at the persecution that jesus went through i know we've touched on some of them lately but you know a lot of us got to hang out with family during thanksgiving and some didn't i think some of you that didn't were probably more blessed than some of us that did at times it could be that way right now i'm not saying us we had a good visit hallelujah right but i'm just saying sometimes there's after some visits you wish you hadn't visited right and i understand that way every family has issues every family has problems but we as christians and especially as spirit-filled christians and christians trying to be more of what jesus wants us to be we face persecution from family members from friends from from religious people from church people and of course again we've talked about this but i think you need to see a little more if you're going to step out in these areas look at what jesus faced all right i don't think that we realize what kind of mess he went through before he ever even went to the cross the cross was just the final persecution of jesus the most severe but before he ever got there he got it from family friends and church folks i mean mean stuff stuff that we would sit back and cr some some of us would just cry over right so we're going to look at a few of those i want you to go let's just take our bibles first of all let's just look back where we left off last week i want you to go to matthew chapter 10. i even went old school this morning last night this morning and actually wrote it down on paper she wrote notes on paper when jesus said this let's look then this is why we should look at this
because jesus said something he said hey if the if they put the master through this what are they going to do to the to the disciple all right well let's look at it you're there matthew chapter 10 let's go down to verse 16. we read this last week behold i send you forth the sheep in the midst of wolves be therefore wise as serpents and harmless as doves but beware of men for they will deliver you up to the councils they will scourge you in their synagogues you shall be brought before governors and kings for my sake for a testimony against them and the gentiles but when they deliver you up take no thought how or what you shall speak for it will be given you in that same hour which you shall speak for is not you that speak but the spirit of your father that speaketh in you and even that right there speaks of when you go through persecution that god will be there with you he will there he will be there the holy spirit will be there speaking through you and with you even in that moment isn't that beautiful he said brothers shall deliver up brother to death and the father the child and the children shall rise up against their parents and cause them to be put to death well that sounds like islam to me more than anything else you should be hated of all men for my name's sake but he that endureth to the end shall be saved but when they persecute you in this city flee ye to another for verily i said you shall not have gone over the cities of israel till the son of man become and verse 24 and 25 is what i really want to focus in on the disciple is not above his master nor the servant above his lord it is enough for the disciple that he be as his master and this is a powerful statement jesus remember jesus said in john 14 12 the works that i do ye shall do also and greater works than these because i go to my father so jesus was saying how marvelous is it amazing that the disciple of jesus can be like jesus can do the works of jesus can heal the sick and cast out demons and lead sinners to repentance it's a marvelous thing to me that jesus would let us do the wonderful things he did raise the dead heal the sick cast out demons i feel sorry for the church out there or what that calls itself the church that rejects these things i don't even understand that right but this is what he said it's more he said he said the disciple is not above his master nor the servant above his lord it is enough for the disciple that he be as his master like his master and the servant as his lord if they call the master the house beelzebub how much more shall they call him of his household so he's saying if they called me the chief of demons what are they going to call you amen now think about that y'all think about it i want you to go with me to mark we're speaking along those lines i want you to go to mark we're just going to go to chapter 3.
now let's just start off jesus i love i love the gospel of mark it's kind of short and concise all right gets to the gets to the you know the fun stuff real quick now i love all the gospels but i i can't say i love one more than the other i like their different characteristics but jesus comes out of the wilderness after his temptation after 40 days of fasting and prayer he comes out in the power of the holy spirit casting out demons and healing the sick right now let's let's just read this um verse seven of mark chapter three three verse seven but jesus withdrew himself with his disciples to the sea and a great multitude from galilee followed him from judea and from jerusalem and from udumay and from jordan and they about tiring sidon a great multitude when they had heard what great things he did came unto him and he spoke to his disciples that a small ship should wait on him and cause the multitude unless they should throng him for he had healed many in so much that they pressed upon him for to touch him as many as had plagues and unclean spirits when they saw him fell down before him and cried saying thou art the son of god and he straightly or immediately charged them that they should not make him known and he goeth up into a mountain and called unto him unto whom he would and they came unto him and he ordained 12 that they should be with him and that he might send them forth to preach and to have power to heal sicknesses and to cast out demons then he names the twelve apostles and go down to verse 20 and the multitude cometh together so that they could not so much as eat bread now look at verse 21 and when his disciple or when his friends rather heard it they went out to lay hold on him for they said he is beside himself and the scribes which came down from jerusalem said he has bills above and by the prince of devils casteth he out devils and he called them unto them and said in paris how can satan cast out satan and you know the rest of this story they said he had an unclean spirit now here you need to look at this and this is this is a fact you gotta remember that the scribes and the pharisees and the sadducees were the religious leaders of jehovah god of yahweh the god and father of our lord jesus christ they were not a cult y'all they were not a false religion they were the religion the religious leaders of the god of israel do you hear what i'm saying so in modern in modern times what we would say is your pharisees your sadducees these were the these were your baptist churches and methodist churches and assembly of god church this was the organized church world right that represented the god of the bible that
taught the law of moses that taught the prophets that taught the psalms are we correct right and jesus comes into this world this this religious world what's amazing is we find out from the apostle paul that the pharisees believed in angels the angels were real they believed that you could have visions and things they didn't they didn't operate in them in those gifts but they believed in them sound familiar the sadducees on the other hand were the more liberal anti-bible religious leaders who didn't believe in angels or spirits or visions i don't know what the in the world they were thinking but actually caiaphas the high priest at the time of jesus was a sadducee so meaning that the liberal side of the religious community of israel had gotten hold in control of power well that sounds like our day boy if anything right now rules the the religious christian uh seminary system the biggest churches the biggest denominations are ruled by really liberal theologians who don't really believe all the bible talk about hermeneutics the laws of interpretation but don't follow them oh don't shout me down when i'm preaching good now right and they love theological discussions but not putting things into practice right so we have a picture of jesus coming into this very theological world of the true god but that's basically all academic very little power going on very little anointing very no one getting free from demons mind you and certainly no pharisee going around healing the sick no an angel had to come down and trouble a pool for anybody to get healed right come on now are y'all staying with me so jesus comes into this world and starts doing something that's unheard of a man steps up and says i'm anointed by the holy spirit and starts driving demons out of people who are demon possessed and tormented this had you have to understand this had never really happened now david they they believe that the anointing or spirit of god could drive out evil spirits because remember back in way back in the time of david and saul when saul was troubled by an evil spirit they called for david to come play they needed a minstrel who was anointed who would come and sing the songs of praise
and worship to the god of abraham isaac and jacob and david would come and play and it says when david would play that that the evil spirit would leave saul depart from give him some relief so they understood that there were evil spirits that they had to be resisted right but no one had come and it had been you have to realize centuries and no one was setting people free from demonic strongholds and power in their lives and here comes jesus here comes jesus and all of a sudden he's got the anointing of the holy spirit and all of a sudden demons start talking through people see listen to me y'all if you're going to walk in the holy ghost if you're going to walk in the power of god if you're going to walk in the truth of the bible if you're going to walk in this you and you're going to believe the bible and you're going to try to minister to people then the demons are going to wake up notice you that's why jesus when he'd walk on the scene doubt the son of god are you here to torment us before the time the demons start freaking out because somebody's walking around with some power with some authority and it knows what they're doing but see here's the thing that's why listen to me that's why most of this church world out here the pharisees and the sadducees and our religious system they don't want to touch this with a 10 foot pole 100 foot pole because here's what happens when the demons start recognizing who you are and who you walk with and you start addressing this issue here comes the persecution jesus comes and starts casting demons out of people and healing the sick this is what got him in trouble to begin with right this is the first persecution of jesus over what casting out demons and healing the sick and what did they do immediately the religious crowd see because here let me explain them when the religious crowd comes and says he's got beals above the prince of the devils why immediately did they attack someone who's helping people get free from demons you want to know why because it exposed them it exposed their weakness their impotence their powerlessness ouch you want to know why the religious world fights a church that wants to be on fire that wants to flow in the gifts of the holy spirit wants to cast demons out of people you want to know why because it exposes them
for what they are dead impotent powerless oh theologically academic but empty jesus came along he didn't go to their schools he didn't kiss their butts and yet he's walking around with the power amen scares the religious world to death scares them to death because their whole little ivory castle house of cards gets exposed for what it is but think about this look at this verse when jesus is doing this the first attack came from his friends look at verse 21 and when his friends heard of it heard of what well let me tell you what jesus had just done all jesus had been doing at this point was casting demons out of people healing the sick and then he he decided to start a little church of 12 people and his friends do you hear what i'm saying his friend said he is beside himself now that's king james nicety right there but in the greek it means his friend said he is out of his mind he is insane he is mentally unstable that's what that word look it up in the greek if you don't believe me now this is what they were saying jesus friends not the pharisees so that means people that maybe had done business with jesus in nazareth when he was a carpenter or was around when he grew up or or people that he had grown to be an acquaintance you know he didn't start his ministry until he was 30 years old right so jesus had some friends like we do we have friends we some closer than others some were more acquainted with than others but we have friends right and you can have friends and you can keep friends until you start talking about demons and what demons do me know y'all you guys know y'all have upset some of your baptist friends some of your methodist friends some of your catholic friends when you start going down this road of demons are real and here's how they work here's how they get into your house get into your life here's how we bind them here's how we get rid of them here's how we make our home a home of peace here's how we find out an object whether it's cursed or not you start talking about demonology and all of a sudden people who say listen to me people who say they are
religious they are christians they believe the bible start calling you crazy mentally unstable your own friends how many has experienced this from your own friends right so in in a matter of two verses in a matter of two verses the very next verse verse 21 says his friend said he is out of his mind he is mentally unstable and listen they weren't j this is not a haha funny they weren't joking look at look at let's read it again it says here verse 21 in and when his friends heard of it they went out to lay hold on him that means they went out to grab a hold of him put a straight jacket on him and lock him up in this in the psych ward do you hear that his friends and the very next verse says that the religious leaders the pastors in the community the scribes came down from jerusalem said he has bills above and by the prince of the devils he cast out devils so in two verses we got people calling jesus the messiah the son of the living god the fullness of the godhead bodily the manifestation the very image of god the messiah that they said they were praying for and believing that would come they're looking at him and saying you are insane you are out of your mind we need to lock you up in a mental ward and the religious community says he he's not only has demons in him he's got the chief demon in it nice start to the ministry a right but listen to me had jesus sat back gone to the school of gemail put on the pharisee robes kept their traditions not talked about demons or healing the sick and kept their traditions on the sabbath no persecution no problems peace we can all just get along right no you start going down the road of the true ministry of the church of jesus christ and of jesus christ your friends will say you're crazy
and the religious community your church community will say that you are listening to demons and you are full of demons even though you're the one trying to cast the demons out of people in the name of jesus by the way right oh my goodness y'all see that now go to mark chapter five let's look at another one this one this is what i read last night i read the account in matthew because i was reading matthew last night but mark chapter 5 kind of follows it a little easier to follow but mark chapter 5 we know the story this this blows me away jesus goes and we're just going to read it verse 16. are you in mark 5 all right verse 17 well we're not going to go to verse 17 i'm sorry we're going to back up uh let's go to verse one we'll read the seventeen he says and they came over unto the other side of the sea in the country of the guided rings and when he was come out of the ship immediately there met him out of the tombs a man with an unclean spirit who had his dwelling among the tombs and no man could bind him no not with chains because that he had often been bound with fetters and chains and the chains had been plucked asunder by him and the fetters broke it in pieces neither could any man tame him so we got a demon-possessed man living in the tombs cutting himself crying out everybody in the region knew about this man they no one had power to do anything to help him right so it says verse 5 and always night and day he was in the mountains and in the tombs crying and cutting himself with stones but when he saw jesus a far off i love this he ran and worshiped him and cried with a loud voice is that what have i to do with thee jesus thou son of the most high god i endure thee by god that thou torment me not oh wow why did he say that for he had said unto him come out of the man thou unclean spirit so jesus had started the process as he was approaching come out of him the demons cried out you're tormenting me son of god demons get boy they don't like encountering the power of jesus amen it torments them it vexes them that's why demons hate you because they get around you and it vexes and torments them it actually inflicts some kind of pain upon them you know that i don't put a smile on your face because i have the holy ghost see that's why some people don't like you even though you don't even know them you may not even have anything to do with them you can work with them they just don't like you you've never said anything bad about them you've never had a
confrontation with them you've never done anything and people just don't i don't i don't like him i don't know why i don't like her i see it's just a little demons talking i know why people i got people that hate my guts and they don't even know me [Music] and that's why it doesn't bother me that that because i know it's just the demons inside of them the people people the demons inside them do everything they can to keep them away from me see if you want to know why our church is still small i'm going to tell you why the devil knows anybody gets around this church long may get the demons cast that up they may get set free from something they may get healed of something they might learn something that might set them free they might learn some truth right keep them away it's the demons oh you're tormenting us right that's why you can't stay in this church and keep your demons not for long the demons are going to get driven out or the demons will drive you out of this church because we're not here to paticate with demons right come on now let me hear it hey see sometimes we sit back and the devil tries to go see well we'll stop that let's keep reading for verse 8 for he said come out of the man thou unclean spirit so the spirit didn't come out immediately and he asked him what is thy name and he answered and said my name is legion for we are many and he besought him much that he would not send him away out of the country now there was nigh unto the mountains a great herd of swine feeding and all the devils besought him saying send us into the swine that we may enter into them and forth with jesus gave them leave and the unclean spirits went out and entered into the swine and the herd ran violently down the steep into the to the sea and there were about two thousand and they were choked in the sea and they that fed the spine fled and told it in the city in the country and they went out to see what was done and they come to jesus and see him that was possessed with the devil and had the legion of demons in him sitting and clothed and in his right mind and they were afraid and they that saw it told them how it befell to him that was possessed with the devil and also concerning the spine now look at verse 17 and they began to pray or to try to persuade jesus begged him to depart from their coast i think we read over this stuff y'all here the region knows there is a man who is mentally either he's mentally insane they know he's demon possessed he's cutting himself with stones he's he's displaying supernatural strength nobody can even walk around near him he's a menace to society right
jesus comes in there with the anointing of the holy ghost and the power of god and cast the demons out of him the man is is they the whole city the whole region comes and sees the man sitting there clothed in his right mind set free peaceful healed and delivered loving jesus and they look at jesus you got to go now what do you think was talking through those people did jesus do anything bad was the good fruit sitting right in front of their eyes but you got to go we know you set this man free we know you healed this man we know this man is completely changed but we don't want you here can you imagine jesus walking away from there oh what in the world is wrong with these people human beings are some screwed up folks screwed up in the head then you see the man he helped the man and now you want the man that had the power of god to help the man get out it's amazing to me listen you guys i've seen this over the years so many times help people the same people i help turn against me or somebody i help somebody in their family and they know i help them but yet hate my guts i was like oh marlene i know hey you got set free but i don't like your pastor i know you got healed and set free of demons but i don't like you pastor what is that right so jesus was called crazy by his friends the prince of demons by the religious community that he had the prince of demons beyond which is really another name for satan oh yes i've been called satan i've been called the spawn of satan i've been called um a false prophet oh my favorite they called me one time pure evil yeah and these were people smoking dope and watching porn but i'm pure evil
it did interesting though so they called jesus so that's why i'm not surprised if they call jesus beelzebub the prince of demons goes with the territory y'all right but see here here hear me you know you if you go a little further in the book especially in the gospel of john the pressure the pharisees the religious community began to put the pressure on people and said if you believe that jesus is the messiah and you believe he's the son of god and then we're going to put you out of the synagogue see there's no there's no getting along you shut up and told the religious line that we want you to toe or don't come around here listen i and i've seen this this is not just bible i've seen this for 26 years don't bring that demon stuff in here right now think about this the whole place the whole city asked jesus to leave i say this a man a woman of god hadn't really hadn't really stood up for anything until they've been thrown out of a church or rejected by folks i'm that's just the way it is all right let's move on let me show you something else i love this let's go to mark chapter six notice we're just following through the bible aren't we kind of in order mark 3 mark 5 mark 6 kind of just working our way through right so here jesus comes to his own hometown right mark six everybody knows this story and he went out from this after he the the gadarene people said get out he goes to his own country his own home nazareth and his disciples follow him it says that when the sabbath day was come he began to teach in the synagogue and many hearing him astonished saying we're astonished rather from whence had this man these things what wisdom is this is given unto him that even such mighty works are wrought by his hands it's not this the carpenter the son of mary the brother of james and joseph and judah and simon are not his sisters here with us and they were offended at him but jesus said unto them a prophet is not without honor but in his own country and among his own kin and in his own house and he could there do no mighty work say that he laid his hand upon a few sick folk and healed them and look at what it says here about jesus he marveled at their unbelief here's the next persecution that comes your way first of all his friend said he was crazy the religious community his baptist methodist catholic pentecostal friends said you know we need to lock him up he's mentally unstable because he's casting demons out of people he's talking something's wrong with him you know he used to just come and sit in synagogue and read once in a while all of a sudden now after 30 years
he's casting demons out of folk he's causing a ruckus then he he he he delivers and heals a man who was tormented and vexed and the whole city says get out so then jesus it's amazing because right following that jesus said well you know let's go to my hometown maybe they'll love me there i think he knew he goes to his hometown now here's the here's here's the thing when he talks about your hometown your home folk your kin when you start speaking things of the wisdom of god the revelation god has given you truth in the scripture right truth that they hadn't heard that they were that their churches aren't teaching them first thing they go is oh well where did he go to seminary where did he go to bible school did he go to one of our bible schools i don't think so matter of fact in john 7 verse 15 it says they said where how does this man speaking of jesus they said how does this man know letters know the scriptures and he's never learned meaning what they were saying was how does he know the scriptures like he knows the scriptures yet he's never gone to our schools oh tell you the truth i wouldn't give you a dime for 90 or 99 of the so-called bible schools and seminaries in this country there's a few out there that's all decent but i wouldn't give you a dime for the majority of them because you know what it is it's club but don't go through their school and then start talking about this stuff because they gonna throw you out yank your credentials oh assembly of god preacher beware don't preach now post-trib rapture because your credentials will get yanked they used to be i don't know if they still do it so the first thing they'll say is where'd you learn this stuff from see they begin to attack you your roots see i know a lot of you like well that just sounds like pastor dean talking where'd you learn that from they disregard that it's bible that's pastor dean talking now how about his scripture talking how about pastor dean taught me the scripture and how and to apply it to do it not just talk about it or ignore it really that's what happens mostly let's just ignore that right but that's another persecution is where did you get that oh well i i look them up on the internet they don't have a degree from our school
so who are you listening to you're in some kind of cult you hear what i'm saying that's what they asked the first of all is this where did this man get this wisdom and understanding from what school did he go to how does he know these things holy ghost university my friend hey listen to me this is what happens when you get around spirit-filled spirit-led studying people when you get in your prayer closet when you start fasting and reading your bible and studying your bible god gives you the spirit of wisdom and revelation in the knowledge of him amen you can learn things and blow them away i love what david said and i believe it's i believe it was in psalm 119 somewhere when he said i know more than all my teachers because my i'm constantly meditating your word i mean i know i shouldn't probably say this but it was on facebook so it was in public but you know i just that that what was it friday morning i spent the first hour of my waking morning having a debate with dr michael brown a theologian that i highly respect and love but he's wrong about something and he got angry with me right's right and wrong's wrong when you're willing to cover up wrong because somebody's your friend it's not my fault that i called you on and i couldn't believe that the man attacked my character but just because i proved him wrong about something he doesn't even know me that well right i love him still i think he's a brilliant theologian he's spirit-filled he loves god he takes a strong stand on a lot of things but there's some things that he's rushing under the rug because he's got friends that he doesn't want upset he's got groups of people you don't want to upset well i'm sorry and i told him so i said your friendship with this individual and this group blinds you to what they're doing wrong and you won't stand up against it but you'll stand up against this other guy and they're both connected so i'm sorry right's right wrong's wrong now granted you know peter and paul had a little debate too didn't mean they didn't love each other and it didn't mean that both of them weren't saved but the bottom line is you got to stand up for right all the time you know what i'm saying now that man i'll be honest with you that man knows far more than i know he's far more studied far more brilliant than i'll ever be but right's right and wrong is wrong don't ignore irrefutable facts and then tell me i'm wrong
no just because you ignore them doesn't mean they don't exist right you stand up for what's right where did this man get this wisdom maybe he got it from the holy ghost and not your school okay i love how later when the pharisees were wondering about where did paul and peter get this power and they said they took knowledge that they took note that they had been with jesus yeah that's all they had been with jesus they weren't in male school right i love it paul went through gamel school but to get to learn right he went and spent three years in the deserts of arabia with just jesus and he learned the truth amen come on now here we go next thing they said is well is isn't this the carpenter son that now you have to understand when they said this this this is his hometown what were the rumors about jesus in his hometown that mary got pregnant before her and joseph were married don't you know this is an illegitimate child and he's up here preaching to us the next thing they do is they go to your past or what they think they know about your past part of your family don't you know what family he comes from that screwed up bunch of drug addicts right guess what though if you've come through the blood of jesus christ and you've been born again and you've been delivered and set free it doesn't matter where you came from doesn't matter if you were born wrong that's why you get born again amen homosexual tells you i was born that way so that's why you need to be born again you don't even have to argue the point guess what you were born wrong i was born wrong we were all born wrong adam and eve's mess or pass the law right that's why we must be born again regenerated made new washed in the blood of lamb so it doesn't matter who my family is it doesn't matter if all my family were serial killers and murderers and drug addicts and prostitutes and lawyers it doesn't matter or worse politicians right you know i found out one of my ancestors was the governor of arkansas big whoop all right
you know he probably mistreated african americans back in the 1800s so i you know but guess what all that it's been washed in the blood you know washed in the blood of the lamb it doesn't matter who my family is doesn't matter what school i went to or didn't go to same for you right but these are the persecutions jesus went through right oh boy i mean there's a whole list of them you guys where to get these things from how do you learn these things john go to john 7 12. i love this one you start preaching the word of god you start standing up for the truth you start giving people things about deliverance about accursed objects about healing about freedom about you know walking in victory about ministering to the sick and casting out demons and speaking in tongues and flowing in the gift of prophecy and the word of god you start speaking about those things and standing up and john 7 i love this john said what they say about him about jesus they said oh he's deceiving people jesus they said this about the messiah jesus christ they said he is a deceiver he is deceiving the people oh my lord can we read it you all right look at verse 15 this is what we just read well verse 14. now about the midst of the feast jesus went up into the temple and taught and the jews marveled saying how knoweth this man letters having never learned jesus answered said my doctrine is not mine but his that sent me let's go on down and he said in verse 20 they said the people answered and said thou art thou hast the devil i mean they're still arguing with him right you have a devil but look at verse 12. and there was there was a murmuring among the people concerning him for some said he is a good man and others said neighbor he deceives the people jesus christ the way the truth and the life the prince of life you know i love the christmas verse my favorite verse about jesus right there's a son given the government will be upon his shoulders and he will be called wonderful counselor the mighty god the everlasting father and the prince of peace and they said about him
he was deceiving people hey anybody been accused of that i have join the club come on now if you're not in that club yet it's time to get in it i'm just gonna give you a few more because i'm gonna cut this short few more you can write these down if you're taking notes john 8 48 they say they called him a samaritan which means he was part of a pagan religion basically they were calling him part of a pagan religion a half breed and they said you have a devil that was nice you're a pagan worshiping half breed devil that's nice that's what the pharisees one of the things pharisees another one they said uh john that was john 8 48 that i just said john 9 16 they said this man is not of god that's pretty plain he's not of god all right john 9 24 we know this man is a sinner so they called him a sinner i mean he didn't live right he didn't live for god he didn't live a holy life they knew nothing about him and yet they called him a sinner you know why they called him a sinner he didn't keep their traditions think about this jesus is the one the messiah god in the flesh who never sinned and the religious community said he's a sinner think about that one for a minute that's immediately where they go just like hey i'm not i'm not going to be ashamed of dr brown flat out said publicly when i'm telling him no this man teaches this this is what's in his books it's what's in his on his website it's what his the the leaders around him teach this is what they teach and he says no they don't and he said brother you need to go examine your heart and deal with this attitude see this is what they do when you confront with the truth you give the truth oh you're in sin you're in pride you're this you're that why because if you can't discredit the message you discredit the messenger and i said how dare you sir attack my character just because i'm giving you the truth and i'm sitting here go that's why you know here's the thing this is probably dr michael brown's probably one of the theologians spirit-filled pentecostal theologians in the world that i most highly respect i have respect for few theologians and yet he and i button heads
and all i was doing was giving him facts provable facts right and he tells me i'm in sin for giving him facts i'm sorry is what i told him i said you know what i said you ignoring the facts does not make you more righteous or more notable than i am right i'm sorry i didn't really mean to go there but hey that's why i said on my facebook page i said if i haven't offended you yet be patient it will happen the truth offends i'm amazed at how many even christian people still hide behind some lies we all have little secrets and we have little beliefs and we have little biases and we have little things that we overlook or we want people to overlook and when they get confronted or they get exposed better look out you either got to accept it and deal with it or attack the messenger listen to this john 10 20. he has a devil and is mad now this is a different word in the greek than the word when it said he is beside himself what it meant the word beside himself meant out of his mind and insane this one means he was a raving maniac and dangerous we've had people say to the to uh people outside people say to people in our church oh i'm worried about you and your family going to that church where pastor dean preaches he's dangerous i'm sitting there going dear lord he has a devil and he's a raving dangerous maniac that's what that means look it up and then they said why do you listen to him why do you listen to that preacher am i just getting down to brass text this is this is hey i don't know if this is anybody else out there listening if this is you or your church or you're as a pastor this is you but hey this is fire and grace reality right here fire and grace church reality and i'm not even bitter over it i love it we can have a riot or a revival i'll take either i don't care so would the apostle paul you know the truth will stir up something it'll get a riot or about one
of the two right all right last one john 11 48-52 and this is where the persecution is coming on christians the national persecution is coming but this is where the high priest after jesus had raised lazarus from the dead a great miracle confirming his authority his power his messiahship his influence he raises lazarus from the dead and that was you know the third person we have he raised from the dead and this is what the high priest the religious community said and this is why i'm going to tell you the lukewarm church in america is going to turn on the true christians when the when the crap hits the fan they're going to sell out and they're going to turn because what did they say if we leave him alone speaking of jesus we leave him alone he will cause the romans to come and our nation to be destroyed and that's going to be obama's mantra and the new coming new one world government and if if we leave the christians alone and let them preach their truth then it's all going to be destroyed we won't have our new world order we won't have peace because they'll start a religious war they'll stir up the muslims and we'll have another nuclear war whatever but the church world out there is going to side with the antichrist and the u.n and the coming world government many of them not all but many that's why jesus said in john 16 2 he said the time will come when those who kill you will think they're doing god a service and it's interesting god meant the true god not allah false god see we think that applies to muslims though it has applied to roman catholics down through the centuries because they thought they were they were killing millions and millions of true christians and people that didn't agree with them and they actually thought they were doing jehovah god a favor but it will happen again that's why jesus said in in matthew 24 that one of the things of the last days is that many will betray one another betray you can't betray someone that you haven't had a relationship with
and been in confidence with that you've trusted there's no betrayal from someone you've never trusted or known right somebody say we got the bible this morning amen now jesus went through these persecutions and there's many more i mean they complained about him eating republicans and sinners they didn't like him healing on the sabbath they didn't like him letting the disciples pluck the corn on this i mean we could just go down the list religious folks are always nitpicking on something well you know he's been divorced that's one pastor in the town told try to convince people to not come to this church because you know pastor dean he went through a divorce yeah i did i got nothing to hide i put it on my website what you trying to prove fun isn't it we could just go down the list but listen i say all this and i preached this this morning i know the lord wanted me to preach this this morning to get your eyes focused on this is what jesus went through as he tried to walk out a ministry of preaching repentance turning from sin a ministry that confronted religious hypocrisy that confronted religious uh biases religious lies religious pride a dead religion that didn't deal with the demonic that didn't deal with the power to heal you see what i'm saying jesus trying to confront and give the truth about all these things is what brought on these different persecutions that he faced do not think it's strange when you get the same treatment from religious folks christian folks family friends political leaders religious leaders listen if they did it to the prince of peace the sinless god man in the flesh the creator of the universe who came here and did nothing wrong what do you think they will do to you they called him bielsa but they said he was crazy they said he was a liar and a deceiver
and then they killed him you know just he didn't just define humanity the most holy thing i love i love what gabriel said when he came to mary he said that holy thing that wasn't a derogatory statement speaking of jesus when jesus would be supernaturally conceived in the womb of mary that wasn't a calling jesus holy thing that means the angel didn't even have words to express who was coming the one the angels in heaven the seraphim cover their eyes and their feet and just say holy holy holy that's the one who came and humanity killed him they lied about him they picked a murderer to be freed a known convicted murderer to be freed and crucified the messiah god almighty in the flesh kind of gets down to reality isn't it mankind is antichrist by nature evil by nature and if you have christ in you the hope of glory what do you think they're gonna do like you no but praise god here's the wonderful thing jesus said this if i be lifted up i will draw me right so the good news is when we take that stand when we preach the truth yes we'll be hated yes we'll be lied about yes we'll be cursed we'll be maligned we'll have all these things happen we'll be rejected by some but there are few that are going to listen that are going to come to repentance that are going to come to know jesus because of you because of you because of you and some of them are going to get healed they're going to miracles are going to happen some of them are going to get the demons cast out and be set free and be in their right mind for the first time in their whole life that the part that just that's the awesome part we get to do the works of jesus and we get to me the best thing ever is we get to take people to heaven with us
[Music] we get to help somebody get there now remember i shared this when my mom passed away october 2nd 2010 when my mom passed away on a saturday the next day i was visiting the church in lagrange because we weren't having church then we were in that break period and i saw my mom in heaven i was in church in worship i saw a vision of my mom standing beside jesus in heaven and the lord said to me i i mean it was one of the most powerful experiences i ever had with the lord his presence was so strong i'm weeping the tears running down my face and see i led my mom to the lord my brother and i witnessed to her and broke through to her in the night my brother got up the next morning and went to church i stayed home and actually kept pressing her until she gave her life to the lord and was born again and saved and i even asked her before she passed away i said mom when did you get saved because i thought maybe she'd prayed when she was young or something and she just rededicated her life when i prayed with her she goes when you prayed with me that day and then i see this vision of my mom in heaven in a white robe i saw it as plain as the day beside jesus in a white robe and the lord turned and he said to me as plain as anything he said thank you for helping one of my children make it home it's something it's just amazing that he lets us participate that someone's eternal life can depend on what we do or don't do what we tell them or don't tell them amen let's pray father i just pray today lord you'll drop back in our spirits and drop back in our heart the great power that you've given us in the gospel and in having jesus live in us and the message the truth that we have that are in your word that we're to give to set captives free that our lives our example and what we teach and what we pray and what we minister to people can determine whether they get set free and and whether they spend eternity in heaven or hell lord help us to understand that we have great influence and it's worth all the persecution that we face
it's worth all the rejection it's worth all the negative words it's worth all the struggle to see someone in heaven because we wouldn't we wouldn't hold back father i pray in jesus name that everyone listening to this this morning everyone that'll hear this by podcast or get down on their knees spend a time a week or two rededicating themselves to prayer fasting the word of god and reaching out and not being ashamed of the truth or anything that's in the body i pray this in jesus name amen and amen it's no small thing that we have the power and the truth and different people need different things some are going to need the demons cast out of them some are neither going to need to be healed some of them are going to need repentance preached hard to them some are just going to need to be loved on some need to be put to fear of god and so they're going to need different things that's why you got to be ready first peter 3 15 be ready always to give an answer to every man of the reason of the hope that is in you amen you got to have an answer for the backslider for the atheist for the skeptic for the agnostic for the demon oppressed and bound for the sick and dying you've got to have an answer and there's an answer in in the gospel amen jesus healed the sick jesus cast out demons jesus raised the dead jesus preach repent turn from your sins jesus went to the sinners and to the publicans jesus broke the traditions the religious traditions of people of religious people jesus made people mad at him jesus talked about demons and demonology jesus dealt with it all he wasn't ashamed and that's what he's called us to be not ashamed of the gospel that not being ashamed of any part of the gospel of jesus christ the gospel is not just jesus died for you rose again has a wonderful plan for your life it's everything that's in the bible amen that's the gospel in the bible the message of god isn't this the message of god let me just say this genesis to the maps folks that's the gospel of jesus christ you don't know what someone might need they might need a part that you don't need or you didn't need but they're going to need it amen speak it don't be ashamed i love that romans 1 16 for i am not ashamed of the gospel of christ for it is the power of
god that's why i'm not ashamed to be pentecostal i'm not ashamed to speak in tongues or interpret tongues or prophesy or or or to pray for the sick or to cast a demon out of somebody or to talk about demons or to buying demons in the mighty name not ashamed of the gospel of jesus christ amen that's where the power is not being ashamed being bold don't think for one second too you can't figure it out sometimes what somebody needs like i said i some people think you shouldn't speak in tongues in church you'll run people off and but i said no the bible says we should speak in tongues in church if the holy spirit leads us and guess what i've had people say that the power of god hit them when i spoke in tongues in church doesn't make sense guess what it doesn't have to make sense if it's bible just do it amen i'm sorry i'm preaching sermon number two i gotta quit whoo feeling good this morning i don't know about y'all i feel the presence of god i think he's given us something today amen the persecutions of jesus that's what we're going to call this one the persecutions of jesus or just the persecution of jesus that's what we're calling hallelujah did y'all learn something today anybody need prayer today before we go about anything okay well everybody's good i guess the thanksgiving turkey did y'all well
