The King of the North
About this sermon
In “The King of the North,” Pastor Dean Odle worship exalts Jesus as King, Creator, Savior, healer, and the one upon whose shoulders government will rest. Odle rejects the claim that churches must avoid politics, noting that biblical prophets advised, anointed, corrected, and rebuked rulers and that God placed Joseph in pagan government. The message develops its case chronologically from the biblical texts, examples, and applications heard in the sermon.

Worship exalts Jesus as King, Creator, Savior, healer, and the one upon whose shoulders government will rest. Odle rejects the claim that churches must avoid politics, noting that biblical prophets advised, anointed, corrected, and rebuked rulers and that God placed Joseph in pagan government.
Odle revisits prayer in 2016 during which he says the Holy Spirit told him that God’s hand was upon Donald Trump and that believers needed to pray and vote. He stresses that this did not arise from political enthusiasm and begins Daniel 11 as the biblical framework for his present interpretation.
The claimed word included that a Trump presidency would be “better” during coming tribulation, though Odle distinguishes that phrase from a specific date for the Great Tribulation. He warns that some crises may ease while unavoidable prophetic events continue, then connects Daniel’s abomination of desolation with a future temple or prayer structure and renewed Jewish sacrifice.
Daniel 11, Matthew 24, and Second Thessalonians 2 are joined to describe an Antichrist who exalts himself, enters the holy place, and demands worship. Odle argues that the king of the north opposes that global ruler with a whirlwind attack, horsemen, and many ships, language he associates with American military power.
Odle presents his personal belief that Trump may be Daniel’s king of the north because he sees Trump opposing globalist plans and commanding the world’s largest navy. He follows Daniel’s campaign through Israel and surrounding territory to the Antichrist’s final destruction by the returning Jesus, while acknowledging the identification remains his interpretation.
The sermon traces United Nations spirituality through Lucis Trust, Alice Bailey, and Helena Blavatsky, alleging that Luciferian teaching supplies the institution’s hidden impulse beneath its language of peace and unity. Odle contrasts this global order with national sovereignty and discusses sound money as practical resistance to a controlled financial system.
Revelation 12’s woman, dragon, male child, wilderness refuge, and 1,260 days are set within Odle’s seven-year end-time framework. He interprets the great eagle’s wings as American protection of Israel through military aid, aircraft, nuclear assistance, and the United States veto on the Security Council.
Contemporary disputes over speech, sexuality, censorship, immigration, and political violence are treated as signs of a deeper struggle over biblical authority. Daniel’s public prayer despite a hostile decree becomes the model for obeying God while lawfully resisting efforts to suppress Christian worship and witness.
Odle rejects New Age and political promises of a “white hat” utopia, debt reset, or universal prosperity administered through global institutions. Isaiah’s peace is reserved for the bodily return and millennial reign of Jesus, so believers are told to study prophecy, reject counterfeit Christs, and prepare to endure.
Odle restates his belief that Trump is the king of the north but says future events will test that interpretation and identify the king of the south. Prayer asks that believers avoid apostasy, draw near to Jesus, receive the Spirit, remain willing to suffer, and turn many people to the righteousness found only in Christ.

Where would I stand? How could I look at the shelter of your hand? Where could I go?

Sing it out to him. Yes, Lord, we reach for you. I reach for you, reach for you, oh my Jesus. Fortress and refuge, our healer and deliverer. The only one that can wash our sins away. The only one who can give eternal life. Oh, you, Lord. Yeah, yeah. We watch our presence, Jesus.

Be Lord of our lives, Lord. Hallelujah. We worship you, Almighty God. We worship you, Lord Jesus, King of kings and Lord of lords. God of all gods. The only one who came, died, rose again. God in the flesh, manifested fully in the flesh. Lived a sinless life. Did signs and wonders and miracles raise the dead? Open the eyes of the blind, the crippled walk. You cleanse the leopards, Lord. You healed every manner of sickness and disease. You cast out demons. We thank you, Jesus. We know you are the way, the truth and the life. We know that you are a wonderful counselor, the mighty God, the Everlasting Father and the Prince of Peace. We know the government is, all the government is coming, Lord. We'll be upon your shoulders. We exalt you, Lord. Praise your holy name. We worship you. Thank you, Lord. Praise the Lord. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Well, I feel the presence of the Lord here today. Amen. Hallelujah. You may be seated. And I think there's another reason for that, too. Because I think the message that I'm about to give you, hopefully, will go all the way to our new president-elect. Amen. You know, people say, you shouldn't talk about politics in church. Well, I find it funny that God would send prophet after prophet after prophet to talk to kings and anoint kings and advise them and rebuke them and correct them and everything else. Whether the kings wanted to hear it or not, they were always sent to speak to them. And some of God's people, he raised up to be in political or government civil positions of authority. And sometimes he does that even in the midst of evil. I mean, I think about what a miracle it was for God to raise up Joseph in Egypt. I mean, that was just, it couldn't be nothing else other than God, you know. But we got a lot of people out there, you know, the truth of community

and the things that that's impossible, that nobody actually righteous or good could be used out there. And I have caught probably more hell over what I'm going to tell you this morning, what I'm going to remind you of and what we're going to get into. Now, I'm going to share something with you that I actually did this PowerPoint or this research several years ago. And yesterday, when I was praying about this morning, and even when I wasn't, it just kept coming back to me. Now it's the time. So I'm going to share this with you. But just go ahead and turn your Bibles to Daniel chapter 11 and be ready to read a little bit there. We're going to do this first before we get into the PowerPoint slides. But, you know, I'm going to tell everybody and just remind everybody, you know, when I was 19 years old, the first thing God told me about what he called me to do is he said, and I mean, how do I put it? He made Jeremiah 1 come alive off the pages. Like it was, I knew it was for me. And I felt when he anointed me, it felt like a warm barrel of oil being poured over my whole body and the presence of God was there. And he told me that I would be a prophet to the nations. What's interesting, we're seeing that happen. Now, even on a greater scale than over the years, just how God is using this ministry to reach all over the world. And it's all in God's hands. We don't even advertise a lot. We just do what the Lord says to do and he just takes it where he wants to take it. But this thing, and I'm going to be talking about President Trump today and what God has for him and what he is not going to stop. This is something I think a lot of people out there, we've got a lot of what I call little Pollyannas out there that think that we're about to go into some golden age. And Trump even said that. And I think his heart is in the right place of wanting to restore the United States and wanting to take us into a time of peace and prosperity as any president should want that. And he proved last time when he was president for four years that he knows how to correct and fix the economy. He's a businessman. He knows how to do it. And he knows how to deal with world leaders. We already found out that the Houthis want peace now and Putin's ready to sit down and talk. It was just like, a lot of people may not remember this, but we had hostages in Iran for over a year.
