Thank you for the blood. That's the greatest miracle that we'll ever experience is the blood of Jesus. Across the great divine, we left behind heaven's throne to build it here inside. And there, at the cross, hid the dead I owe. Broke my chains, freed my soul, for the first time I had hope. Jesus, for the blood applies, it has washed me white. You have shaped the darkness to your glory. And thank you Jesus, took my place, you laid inside my tomb of sin. You were buried for three days, you walked right out again. And now death has no sting, and life has. I have been transformed by the blood of the Lamb. Jesus, for the blood has washed me white. You have saved on me from the darkness into glorious life. There's nothing. Yes Lord, thank you Jesus. There is nothing stronger than the wonder we are as it has walked.
You have saved your glory. Let's give glory to you. Thank you Lord, it's the blood, the precious blood of Jesus. That washes away our sin, that makes us whole like we Jesus. Thank you Lord, thank you Jesus. You alone are worthy Lord, you alone are worthy Lord. We praise you for the blood, we praise you Lord, for the blood of Jesus. Thank you Lord, we're here to worship him this morning. We're not here to just get something from him this morning. Amen. We're here to love on him, to worship him because he alone is worthy. Lord, you alone are worthy of our praise. Thank you Jesus. You know the Lord said his thoughts are not our thoughts. His ways are not our ways. When we worship the Lord, sometimes he'll take us in a totally different direction than we expect because he's God. And what he wants will be done. And Father, in the name of Jesus, I just bind every hindering spirit here today. I bind in Jesus' name the Lamb, every spirit of Satan in Jesus' name I bind here today in Jesus' name.
I thank you Lord Jesus for a good day. A good day in you Lord, we love you. I ask you to heal the sick here today Lord Jesus. The sick and afflicted, the Lord the ones who are bound. We just pray for today Lord Jesus that you would let your Holy Ghost come in. Holy Spirit move on. In the way you would move Lord, in the way you would Lord. Holy Spirit, Lord I love your way Lord. It's precious to them. Thank you Jesus that you reign Lord.
As we worship you this morning Lord, we give you the glory and the praise that you do your name.
You are worthy of our love and our worship. You are the King of Kings. The Lord of Lords, you're our creator. You're the mighty God, the Everlasting Father, the Prince of Peace. God manifested in the flesh, lived a sinless life and died on that cross for us. Lord we thank you that you shed your blood, sinless holy blood that was shed to wash our sins away. Lord only you can cleanse our hearts from sin, from demons, from the darkness Lord. We thank you for your precious blood and the power of your resurrection. Lord because you live we know we shall live also. Praise your name. Hallelujah. Somebody praise the Lord. Amen. Yes, amen. Thank you. Thank you. Praise God. You may be seated this morning just to inform everybody at the end of this service, at the end of I guess when I get through preaching, we are going to do communion. Now let me state that communion we believe again is symbolic. We don't believe the juice or the wine if you want to call it that turns into the literal blood of Jesus or the bread turns into the literal body of Jesus. But it is an ordinance of the church that you're not supposed to take if you're not truly born again, if Jesus is not truly Lord of your life and you're not supposed to do it. If even you're a Christian but you're not in the right place and I'll read those scriptures in a minute. So as we go through this service, if you need to deal with some sin or matters in your heart, then deal with them and get the Lord's forgiveness and repent before we get to communion. So there's your fair warning. All right. I hope everybody has their Bibles this morning. Maybe starting a series. I think that's what the Lord's laying on my heart. But we're going to be talking about the heart of man or the heart of mankind this morning. And you need to understand it because I don't know how many songs are out there. I don't care if it's rock country what all the pop whatever rap over and over and over again. They tell you don't they just follow your heart new new new. If the world is pushing a message over and over and over again,
I can assure you it's wrong because the devil and his demon spirits are behind it and it's for a reason. I'm going to show you. So just go ahead and take your Bibles out and you can go ahead and start the PowerPoint or do I need to. Is it ready to roll? There we go. The heart of mankind or the heart of man or the when I say man, I mean men and women. We all though different genders. We have the same makeup of spirit soul and body and I'm going to show you that. But you do need to understand what your heart is because Jeremiah 1710. I want you to go there. Just turn your bottles. I know it's up here, but I want you to mark it in your Bibles. You should memorize these two verses here. Jeremiah 17 9 and 10 will let you turn there. I like hearing the pages turn. I'm old fashioned because I'm old. But it says here the heart is deceitful above all things. Well, let's let's wait to y'all hearing this. The heart, the heart of man, the heart of woman, the heart of human beings. The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. That means it longs for wickedness. It's desperate for wickedness. And it says who could know it, meaning there is no such thing as you knowing your own heart. Why? Because it can deceive you. You mean I can trick myself. How many of you've lied to yourself, tricked yourself, made up all kinds of excuses for stuff that you knew deep down was wrong, but you did it anyway because your heart was longing for it. But I was in love. No, you weren't. You were in lust. Big difference. But I had emotions and feelings. Exactly. And you're going to find out what that's all about this morning. But the heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. Who can know it? So only really the Lord knows the depth of your heart. And he says, I, the Lord, search the heart and try or test the rains. Now, what is he talking about the rains? Anybody ever been on a horse before? Oh, yeah. So the rains are when they put the bit in the horse's mouth. I used to have a horse and you hold them and you pull this way. If you want him to go this way and you pull this way or you pull back.
And if you've got a real stubborn one and he won't obey none of it, you've got to really yank him a good one. Right. But the Lord says he's going to try the reins of your heart, meaning he's he wants to. Right. He's going to test you, but he's going to put a bridle on you if you allow it. If you allow the Lord to be truly Lord of your life, meaning you obey him, you are going to allow him to go this way and to go that way. But I have been on horses that disregarded all pain inflicted upon them to obey. Those are really stubborn horses, right? They have to be broken. And there's some stubborn people. Guess what? There's some stubborn, stubborn Christians. In fact, God says his people many times were obstinate, stiff-necked, meaning what? Stiff-necked. I mean, I'm not turning, but the Lord says it's your heart that's going to have to have a bridle on it, some control mechanism, because if you just follow your heart, you're going to end up in hell. You're going to end up suicidal. You're going to end up in sex, drugs and whatever else. Why? Because the Bible is clear about this one thing about us. There is none good, no, not one. People walk around all the time. Oh, they have a good heart. Do they? Do you know that person? You see them in public where they're acting right. Do you know what they do when they're at home? No, you don't. Do you know the depths of their heart? Now, the only way you can know anything about anybody, if God supernaturally reveals it to you, that can happen. That's what the gift of the Holy Spirit is, the word of knowledge when God reveals a little piece of what's going on in somebody's heart or their life, that there's no way you could know. And God does that to show them that he is searching and trying their hearts. And so there's a lot of people walk around, I don't have any unforgiveness or bitterness in my heart. And then you come up in the line and the preacher starts praying for you and goes, I feel like the Lord showed me you have unforgiveness toward Tom. Right? And he goes, how in the world do he know that? Because the Lord's trying to help you deal with what you lie to yourself about, what you allow your heart to deceive you. Because see, your heart wants to tell you, you're pretty good. I'm pretty good. I'm not like all them other people over there. Pretty good. I'm pretty righteous. The Lord knows my heart. Let me just go and tell you right now that people say that.
The Lord knows my heart is usually because the Lord knows I got good intentions. I just can't act upon them. Y'all know what I'm talking about. He said, I try the reins or I test the reins even to give every man according to his ways and according to the fruit of his doings. So the Lord says he's going to give to you according to your ways, which way you choose to go. If you choose to let him lead you, and he's going to do so first and foremost by his word, the Bible, secondly, by his spirit as he speaks to you, convicts you and leads you, you're going to choose. And it's not going to be, well, I just believe in Jesus and I did whatever I wanted to do. No, no, no, no, no. You're going to be judged according to what? Your ways and your doings. Like I say, you're going to end up in the place of the one you follow. Another way to say that is you're going to end up in the place of the one you act like. See, if you're a liar all the time, you're a habitual liar, you just lie, lie, lie, lie, lie, lie. Then guess what? You are. You're a liar. Liars have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is second death. But who is the father of lies? So if you're a liar, who are you acting like? And you're going to be known according to your ways. Oh, Pastor, you're hurting me now. What about sexual immorality? If you keep on getting into sexual sin before you're married, you get into sexual sin. After you're married, you get into adultery, homosexuality, all this other stuff. And that's the way you live your life. I don't care if you go to church. I don't care if you're a deacon. I don't care if you're in a choir. You might sing specials. You might get sang, as they say, right? You're going to be judged and known. God's going to test you and you're going to be judged by your ways and your doings. This is why you can't follow your heart. Now, let's keep going. This is the word in Hebrew, lab or lab for your heart. Now, I want to show you this is this is the blue letter Bible. This is taken from multiple Hebrew lexicons. All right. We're talking about Jacenias, the brown driver Briggs, the Strongs.
It says that it's your inner man or your inner person, your mind, your will, your heart, your understanding. The inner part, the midst of things, the heart of man, the soul, the mind, the knowledge, thinking, reflection, memory, the inclination, resolution, determination of the will where your conscience is also. We'll deal with that in a second. What is your conscience? That's that little voice inside you says that's wrong. And then you go, but I'm going to do it anyway. The heart of moral character, the seat of appetites or desires. The seat of emotions and passions. Let's remember this. Okay. Also the seat of courage because you can choose to be in fear or you can choose to resist fear and be courageous. But let's let's understand. And here it is labe. I guess the heart also used for the feelings, the will, the intellect on down the line, the mind. This is where it says the Bible talks that we can be double hearted. All right. Here's the strong as a brown driver, Briggs lexicon, inner man, mind, will, heart. Now I want to show you something here. First Thessalonians 5 23. You turn there and look at this. If this is one of our fire and grace school of ministry classes, I would say this one's going to be on the test. This is a scripture that you ought to memorize because the apostle Paul by the Holy Spirit says in the very God of peace, sanctify you. That means to make you holy by washing you in the blood of Jesus and provoking you or moving you to obedience. He says, I pray he was praying for them. The very God of peace, sanctify you holy. And I pray God, your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless unto the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ. Now, this is something a lot of people don't get a lot of people don't understand that right here. All right. This is going to be the whole man. I don't know if it's going to do it on the screen. I guess not. But this is this is bad. One man or one woman, one person. All of us have three parts. We have a physical body. We have a soul and we have a spirit, which is also called the spirit body. Now, pretty much everybody in the occult world who is a witch, Satanist, new wager or anyone that gets into mysticism, visualization, meditation techniques, mantra type prayer, they will begin to experience their spirit being able to travel or move outside of their body and actually go places.
Now, a lot of that spirit world they're traveling around in is filled with deception. OK, some of it they see is real things, but there has to be a link between the soul and the spirit and to that's called astral projection. Right. Or astral travel. All witches talk about it. Right. All witches do it. But there's the the connection, the demonic connection that keeps the spirit from going off. There's a thing called the silver cord. Solomon talked about Ecclesiastes. He says, if ever the silver cord is broken, that means you're dead. It means your spirit is separated from your body. And when the spirit is gone from the body and it's totally separated, that is spiritual death. Your body dies. Your spirit goes to heaven or hell at that point. Spirit and soul, first to heaven. Now, at the resurrection with the second coming of Jesus, the body is going to be resurrected and reunited with the soul and the spirit. And that's why we get the Bible talks about we get a body that will be immortal. All right. But you have a spirit of soul and a body. And I'm just going to tell you right now, your spirit right here is where you see visions when you dream at night. That is your spirit man seeing in the spirit realm and dreams can be from three places, your own mind creating it from demons and the devil himself or from God. You have to discern sometimes what those dreams are from or not. But that just gives you an idea because you know you're asleep, but you're seeing stuff. So if your body is asleep, what's seeing the dream world? Now, of course, the men in the white coats, the scientists would say, oh, that's just your mind doing that. Oh, no, no, no. It's your spirit man. All right. Your spirit man is where you have intuition. It is where you have your conscience. It is where you have your ability to worship God and spirit and truth. And in fact, the spirit man has a mouth, eyes, ears. This is where you hear God speak to you. It's where you hear the devil speak to you. But you turn around. He's not in the room. He's talking to you, though. All right. The soul is the mind, will and emotions. A lot of people get these mixed up and they think these when you say soul and spirit, you're talking about the same thing. They are completely different. This is the area where you make decisions, where you think, where you reason. It's your personality is what makes you different. OK, it's really you. Remember, it says God breathed into Adam, right?
What did he breathe into Adam? His spirit, giving him a spirit. And it says Adam became a living soul, meaning he became Adam at that moment. Right. He got God's spirit. He has a human spirit, but he became more than just, you know, a clone of something. Right. He became Adam at that point in his soul. And then, of course, we know what the body is now. Let's keep going. Teach you this morning. All right. Now, here's your heart. Your heart. I've had a lot of dealings with this in this last year, but right here, if you'll notice and everybody knows there's four, you know, what do they call them? Chambers. But there's actually two sides. You know, one, the blood comes in, the other, the blood goes out. Right. Well, this right here, your heart in the middle of your chest. And it is. You see, this is an amazing thing about the heart that's in you. It is both physical and spiritual. That's why you will feel the presence of God right here. Touch you first. I remember when I got saved the first time, I remember feeling the peace, the joy, the sheer power, the presence of God here first, because this is where the spirit and soul meet together. The human spirit and the human soul dwell here. OK. It's also why, if your heart stops, you don't live anymore. And think about this. You know, they were before Jesus healed me. You know, I had the four million arteries to the heart were 100 percent, 200 percent, 290 percent clogged. So what they were going to do is crack my chest open, stop my heart. Literally, they're going to kill me. Right. Put me on a fake heart for a minute, a pump, do the bypass surgery, taking veins and arteries and making their little bypass, plumbing job, basically. And then they're going to have to get my heart back beating again. You get shocked. That sounds pleasant, doesn't it? It's electrical, meaning your heart has to have electrical power to it. Really, we are fearfully and wonderfully made. It's amazing. Right. Well, here, too, is where everything emanates from. And it's going to be this from here, where you live and you end up living forever or you end up in spiritual death forever, separated from God forever.
But do you all get this? OK. Now, before you are born again, your spirit is spiritually dead, meaning it's not connected to God. It's still there. It's still doing its job, but it is not connected to God himself. The soul is completely listening to the body. Whatever the body wants, the soul says, yep, let's do it. Right. Or vice versa. Whatever the soul says, the mind says, the body reacts. So this right here is where everything's going on. But when you get saved, this is what should happen. The Bible says when you are born again, meaning you were born wrong the first time. I don't care if homosexuals say, well, we were born that way. Well, guess what? I don't care. That doesn't mean anything to me because we were all born wrong the first time in sin. Sin a part of our being because of our our parents, grandparents, great grandparents going all the way back to Adam and Eve. When you're born again, your spirit is resurrected. The life of God, the power of God comes into you and you are born again. This is why you feel it here. If you've never felt that you haven't been born again. You've just been religious because when you get born again, boom. Holy spirit resurrects your dead spirit and reconnects you with the creator himself. Think about that. Jesus literally the presence of Jesus Christ comes in here and he is the resurrection and the life. The Bible calls this being regenerated, right? So somebody said I need to be regenerated. All right. But here, the soul cleansed from its past sin is still the soul, which is why the Bible says that the soul or the mind must be renewed. So I don't know if you heard, but that anyway, the soul has to be renewed. The mind has to be renewed. Now, let's just keep going here. Now, Hebrews says this Hebrews four twelve. You ought to have this one memorized, too. This will be on the test for the word of God is quick. That's just the old English way of saying alive, spiritually alive and powerful.
Somebody say powerful. What do they call that thing? Defibrillator? Fibrillator, whatever you say. But what is it? It's the thing they shock you with. It'll lift a grown man off the table, right? That has to have some power to it. But the word of God has more power than that. Somebody say Amen. But the word of God, meaning this book right here, what's God put in here? The word of God is quick and powerful, alive and powerful, sharper than any two edged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit and of the joints and marrow. And as a discerner of the thoughts and intents of what? The heart. So let's back up for a second. See what does what the word of God, when you let the word of God come into your heart, it puts a sword right down through here. So you can tell the difference between what the Holy Spirit is wanting and what you are wanting. Don't understand that. This is why you must read the word of God. This is why you must submit yourself to the word of God. This is why the Bible says you were born again by the word of God. Amen. Because it is the thing that comes in. And sometimes look, you put a sword down through here. That's not comfortable. You understand? Even though it's a spiritual sword, it's not comfortable. But you put that sword down so you will know because you have to know in your life, what is the Holy Spirit saying to me through my spirit? What is my mind, will and emotions trying to get me to do? And I need to know because look, your soul, your mind, will and emotions might be trying to get you to do a good thing. But God doesn't want you doing it because he wants you doing something else. So you got to know which one is which. Well, the only way you can know, you can't go, well, I just feel it. Well, I'm just going to follow my heart. I got to find myself. No, you don't. You go to this book right here and it will cut through all the noise, all the crap, all the confusion. You won't be double minded, double hearted. You will know this side's wrong. This side's right. Going this way. This is what it means to be led by the Holy Spirit. This is what it means to walk with Jesus in an intimate relationship.
You let the word of God, the sword of the spirit, divide. But if you reject this sword because you think you know better, then guess what? You got to figure it out yourself. That doesn't work out. I know when I was trying to figure it out myself, what was I doing? Drinking, smoking. It's funny because, you know, Clinton said he smoked marijuana but he didn't inhale. I inhaled fully. That's why nobody can tell me what it does do or doesn't do to you. I know what it does to you, especially the good stuff. Let me go on. I better go on from this. Hey, we're doing good. That was just the introduction. This verse, vitally important. And see, this is why I'm going to tell you right now. This is why Christians, the moment you depart from reading, studying, meditating on, obeying the word of God, the written word of God, the moment you do that, you will begin to fall into deception. And at first, it's going to be self-deception because you're going to start telling yourself, I'm fine. I'm fine. It's interesting. I think it's, check me if I'm wrong here, but I think it's Proverbs 14 verse 14, I think. But it talks about the backslider in heart. And what it means to be a backslider is that you're a Christian, you're on fire for Jesus, and then you start to drift away back into the world and back into your sinful ways. It says the backslider in heart shall be filled with his own ways. You see, you start just doing what your heart wants. You start following your heart instead of following Jesus. But the song said to follow my heart. I looked at one this morning, The Scorpions. They've got a song entitled, Follow Your Heart. Huh? That's right. You don't want to follow The Scorpions. Right? A lot of you don't know who that is. 80s band, you just listen to them. But then a lot of Disney songs. Follow your heart. No, because then you will be a backslider or you'll just be like the unsaved person
filled with your own ways, not filled with the ways of God. Now, let's go back to the PowerPoint here. Thank you. Y'all got that up quick. I'm going back to this verse again. Let's read it again together. The heart is deceitful above all things and desperately wicked. Who can know it means you cannot figure it out. This is vitally important. Jesus said this. Now think about this. If your heart was good, then Jesus would have said, oh, you bunch of folks, your heart's so good. He never said that. He said, for out of the heart, proceed evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornication, pornia in the Greek, thefts, faults, witness, lying, blasphemies. He said these things, these are the things which defile a man, but to eat with unwashing hands defileth not a man. And see what the argument was, was they had all these laws and ceremonies and they had to wash their hands before they ate. And they were all about washing their hands before they ate, but their heart was not clean. And Jesus told them, you are hypocrites. You clean the outside of the cup, but the inside is full of wickedness. That's what it means to be a hypocrite. You try to look good on the outside, you try to fake it until you make it, but you can't make it if you fake it. You hear me? You got to have the real thing. And the only way is to surrender. But Jesus also said, that's Matthew 15, 19, and 20. He also said this to them, and this is the same group of people talking to the religious Pharisees who thought they were holy and pure. And he said, oh generation of vipers, snakes. He said, how can you, being evil, speak good things? Because they would try to say stuff that was good, but Jesus knew their hearts. And he said, for out of the abundance of the heart, the mouth speaks. You know what that means? That means the mouth speaks what the heart is full of. What's your heart full of? What have you been putting in? What are you putting in to your mind and spirit? See, this is why listening to secular music hours upon hours a day is very bad for you. Why? Because what it's doing is it's filling your heart. So guess what? It talks about, I don't care, I mean,
these sweet little pop songs I'll be talking about sexual sin and immorality. It can sound sweet like a little teenager singing and they're singing about some of the foulest stuff you ever think you're going to hear. You think it's rap music. That's why it says this. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. Proverbs 23 seven. Let's put that up for a second. As a man thinketh in his heart, so is he. I think that's it. Am I right about that? 23 seven. Yeah, for as he thinketh in his heart, so is he. What do you meditate on? See, a lot of women, it's romance novels. I just need romance in my life. But you read those novels hours and hours and hours and hours. It takes hours to read novels. What do you think your heart's going to be full of? Novels full of adultery, cheating, perversion. This is why we have got to cut the world off. I say it all the time. If you want Jesus, what do you do? You break up with the devil and give him back his stuff. And there's this verse. I'm going to go to this verse. I didn't plan on it. I just have a whole bunch I put here. But this is an interesting verse. See, I got a bunch of them here. Let me get to it. Yeah, it's Hosea 4-11. Hosea 4-11. It says this. Horedom, meaning sexual immorality. Horedom and wine, drunkenness. Horedom and wine and new wine take away the heart. Let me tell you something. Everything when I was a teenager, when I was a young teenager, that I said that I was not going to do, I ended up doing, because once I took in alcohol and drugs and drunkenness, it breaks down your will to stand for God and to stand against evil,
and it makes it easier to do stuff. I remember we watched. I remember in like seventh grade health class watching a literal film documentary, not a reenactment, of people who were addicted to heroin, shooting heroin on the streets, and some of them, once they ran out, going through the withdrawals of heroin. And I want to tell you what. That was a great thing for me, because I never did heroin after seeing that. Right? It was like, mm-mm, never go in there. But I also said things like, I will never do cocaine. I will never do LSD. I will never smoke marijuana. And every time I did another drug, and I did all those, every single time it was after drinking enough wine or beer or liquor that my resistance to those things was gone. And you, let me tell you, you've got a problem with lust and immorality in that area. Let's just pour the gasoline of alcohol upon it, and that fire will get out of control. And y'all can't tell me it doesn't, because I did it. Okay? I know this is true. Hoardom and wine and new wine take away the heart. Do you want your heart to be taken away into wickedness? Nope. But see, y'all know, y'all, especially us men, we work around a construction site or you're in the military with a bunch of guys, you always know the ones that have no self-control whatsoever in the area of lust and sexual immorality, because all day long, it's coming out of their mouth because their heart's full of it. This is why you watch what people talk about long enough. You'll find out what their idol is. You'll find out what their love is. They talk about what they love. That's why backsliders don't want to talk to Holy Ghost-filled spiritual Christians. They'd rather talk to heathens. They feel more comfortable. Now, look at this. What does the Bible say here? James 1, 22.
But be ye doers of the Word, the Word of God, and not hearers only, deceiving your own selves. That's your heart deceiving you. When you hear something that's God's Word, like thou shalt not commit adultery, adulterers do not get to go into the kingdom of heaven. All right? You hear that. But then the temptation comes and you've been watching the movies and you've been reading the romance novels or whatever, the pornography, and bottom line is what? You know the Word of God says, don't go down that road, but you've been filling yourself with stuff until your heart says, let's go. And then what happens here? You're a hearer, not a doer, so the deception begins, not with the devil. Can't blame the devil. There's a lot of the people that got a bad case of the devil made me do it. Everybody likes to pass the buck. It wasn't my fault. That was that devil. No, no, no, no. He only works with what you give him. That's why the Bible says, give no place to the devil. Why? Because if you crack the door, he's taking it, but you have to crack the door. But so deception, all deception starts when you start deceiving yourself, when you disregard God's holy book that men and women have died for over the years to preserve and make sure we had this book, that God said he would preserve for all generations. The book he says he's going to be pulled out, that we're going to be judged by books. Guess what? There's 66 of them right here. So those are 66 books you're going to be judged by. Then there's going to be another one pulled out, the Book of Remembrance, meaning every word you spoke, every thought you had, good or bad, is in that book. And what does the Bible say? It says we're going to be judged out of the things written in those books. In fact, the Bible says you're going to give an account of every idle word that you have spoken. That ought to make people shudder. But see, as it says in Psalm 36, David said the transgression of the wicked,
the way they live, tells me they have no fear of God in their heart, no honor, no respect, no true understanding. You know that little bit of fear you feel when you're speeding and you see the cop? Yeah. Or you're drinking beer while you're driving? Or some of you, I wish they'd catch you all that are on your phone and trying to drive. Golly. Like, where's the cop when you need him? Somebody in front of me, I think they're absolutely drunk all over the road and I get up beside them and they're reading their phone. Stop it! Stop it! That's a free public service announcement. This right here, though. Are you deceiving yourself? See, this is why so much of the church is to say, for instance, Jesus said, put up for me Matthew 6 verse 9. I don't know why, but I got to throw this out for somebody. This is why we have entire segments of the church world, Christian world, falling into demonic deception. That's not it. What verse is it? The repetitive prayer one. I don't know why it's out of my head. Seven. Okay. I knew it was there somewhere. Yeah. All right. Put up verse seven. When he told them, don't pray like the heathen. Right? But when you pray, use not vain repetitions as the heathen do, for they think they shall be heard for their much speaking. Now, what Jesus is referring to, Buddhism already existed. Hinduism already existed. Later, of course, seven hundred thirties, Islam comes along, A.D. But all of those false religions, the Jewish Kabbalah, Islam, Sufism, Hinduism, Buddhism, New Age, Baha'i, you name it. All of them disobey this because they'll have a mantra or they'll have a phrase that they repeat over and over and over and over and over and over and over and over again. And then they use visualization techniques with that. And Jesus said, you don't do this. So the moment you do it, I don't care if you Christianize it. This is what people do. Oh, Jesus said, don't use repetitive prayer. But wait a minute. But I said, Jesus, five thousand times in an hour.
Okay. He said, don't do that. You don't realize what's happening when you disobey. The self-deception begins. You crack the door. Now the demons come in and see they've Christianize it. They call it. Now they call it contemplative prayer. That's what the Roman Catholics call it. That's what Bethel calls it. That's what I have called it. Mike Bickle and all these people that have got this, they call contemplative prayer. Oh, it's okay. The Roman Catholic mystics of old use this type of prayer. Oh, okay. That's why you're levitating off the ground like witches. That's why you're bowing down and worshiping idols and Mary and everything else. Uh-huh. This right here, as another scripture says, it says that this vain babbling leads to what? More error and deception. Don't do it. Or you're going to be deceived. Now let's go to the doers of the word are not here is only deceiving your own selves. Now, what did God say? Now, this is to the Romans before the Roman Church fell away from God. This was their warning, but he was thanking God. He said, but God be thanked that she were. Somebody say were. What does were mean? It means you used to be that way. You're not that way anymore, right? So he says, but God be thanked that you were servants or slaves of sin, but you have obeyed from the heart. Somebody say obey from the heart. You have obeyed from the heart. What doctrine? That's a bad thing, isn't it? We're not supposed to care about doctrine. See, you hear a preacher say, doctrine is not important. Run, run away as fast as you can go. Because the doctrine he's talking about is the doctrine of Jesus Christ, his apostles and prophets. He says you have obeyed from the heart the doctrine, which is the word of God, what they taught right here in this book. You have obeyed it from the heart, that form of doctrine which was delivered to you. This book right here, I read it the other night I was in Mobile talking to the Azealia City Republican women. Big group. And I read Patrick Henry. Patrick Henry, the great,
one remember of our founding fathers to give me liberty or give me death. He was a devout Christian. If it wasn't for him, we probably would not have the Bill of Rights in the Constitution. He was one of the big proponents of the Second Amendment as well. And he urged our country to take up arms to fight for freedom. But he was a very, very devout Christian. And he said this book is more valuable than all the books that have ever been written. Napoleon said about the Bible, he said this book destroys all those who oppose it. Voltaire said that within a hundred years of his death Christianity would be destroyed. It would be gone. And of course God in his wisdom ends up putting the Gutenberg press in Voltaire's house, and that's where they printed the first Bibles that went all over the world. This world opposes this book, but this book is right from Genesis to Revelation. This book doesn't teach you that we live on a flying, spinning water ball in a vast, empty place. Show me where it teaches that. You can't, because I know it doesn't. Many of you don't even know where that deception came from. You want to know where the spinning ball deception actually began, where it first came from? You want to know? It came from the Dark Ages from a book called the Zohar, written by Jewish occultists. That's where that came from. But I digress. I don't have time to get into all that. You have to desire your heart to be cleansed. I want to show you this. I want to go first to Psalm 51. This is the psalm that David wrote under inspiration of the Holy Spirit, again, the Holy Spirit writing through him, after he committed the sin of adultery. And what happened, the reason he ended up committing the sin of adultery, it says, because there was a season when the kings were supposed to be at battle, and he stayed home.
See, when you're not where you're supposed to be, he wasn't in obedience to God. He wasn't where he was supposed to be. And guess what happened? He walks out on his balcony, and he's overseeing this area, and he looks down, and there's a little Bathsheba, you know, taking her bath in front of him. And she planned this, and her uncle did, too. This was all planned. David should turn around and walk away, but he didn't. He committed adultery with that woman and then had her husband killed while he was at war. Now, you want to talk about wickedness, but yet David is called to man after God's own heart. David loved the Lord, but see, what he didn't understand was how quick his own heart could turn and do something so wicked. And this is what you have to understand. None of us are in a place where we're super spiritual or we're so super Christian that we're going to just be able to stand against everything. No, no. You got to be humble and know that no matter how strong you are, no matter how long you've been saved, no matter what ministry you've done, no matter what signs and wonders you've seen God do, you have to know that in a moment, in the wrong place at the wrong time, when you are not in a place you need to be, boom, your heart can turn on you. I mean, it can try to just leap out of your chest and pull you into something. That's why Paul said, what? He said, with my spirit, I want to do what God wants me to do. He said, but my flesh or my carnal side of my heart, the soul wants to do evil and there's a war going on. And you know who's going to win that war? The two dogs, the one you feed, the one you don't feed is going to lose. This is what we're supposed to be. You were. No, it's okay. Go down. Go to Psalm 51 though. Go down to verse. This is what David said. I'm going to read it. Well, you know what? We'll start from verse one. He says, have mercy upon me, O God. According to thy lovingkindness, according to the multitude of thy tender mercies, blot out my transgressions. Wash me thoroughly from my iniquity and cleanse me from my sin, for I acknowledge my transgressions and my sin is ever before me.
Against thee and thee only have I sinned and done this evil in thy sight, that thou mightest be justified when thou speakest and be clear when thou judges. Behold, I was shaping in iniquity and insented my mother conceived me. Behold, thou desires, you desires truth in the inward parts, in the hidden part. Thou shalt make me to know wisdom. Purge me with hyssop, and that means hyssop was what they dipped in blood and sprinkled it to sanctify things. So this is also a reference for us to the blood of Jesus. And by faith, the hyssop of faith, when we cry out, say, Lord, cleanse me. He says, purge me with hyssop, and I shall be clean. Wash me, and I shall be whiter than snow. Make me to hear joy and gladness, that the bones which thou has broken may rejoice. Hide thy face from my sins, and blot out all my iniquities. Create in me a what? Clean heart, O God, and renew a right spirit within me. Cast me not away from thy presence, and take not thy Holy Spirit from me. Restore unto me the joy of thy salvation, and uphold me with thy free spirit. Then I will teach transgressors thy ways, and sinners shall be converted unto thee. So David, we know, went through a season of great mourning over what he did, and he repented, and he never did that again. See, this is the thing that a lot of people like to make David out to be this ongoing adulterer. I don't know where they get that from. But he knew God had the right under the old covenant and under the laws of the old covenant to strike him dead, to have him actually stoned to death. He knew that's what he deserved, and he admitted, I did it. There was no self-deception going on. I did it. And he asked God to forgive him, and to cleanse him, and to give him what? A clean heart, a right spirit. Right? If you are a backslider, you've fallen away from God, you've let your heart take you back into a lifestyle of habitual sin, then you must repent and ask Jesus to cleanse you and wash you. You must say, I'm done with it. Repentance means I put a stop to it. I'm done reading the romance novels. I'm done with the pornography. I'm done with the fornication, the premarital sex. I'm done with the homosexuality. I'm done with the drunkenness. I'm done with the drugs, the sorcery, the pharmacate. I'm done with that.
I'm done with the partying. I'm done with the bar scene. I want my heart to be changed. I don't want to be wicked. I don't want to be evil. I don't want that to dominate my life. Jesus, you've got to ask Jesus, come in, wash me clean, be Lord of my life. And then you have to say, I surrender all. You have to. It's the only way. There's no halfway with God. That's why he told the lady to see in church, I'm going to spit you out of my mouth if you're lukewarm. If you try to play the middle, there's no gray area with God. There's no fence you can ride. There's no two worlds that you can live in. You've got to pick one or the other. And the day is coming that the devil's going to make you pick. See, Satan's done playing around too. So very soon he's going to issue what's called the mark of the beast, and he's going to make you decide who do you serve, Jesus or me. I would encourage you to choose now to draw near to him, to Jesus, so that you may have the power and ability to resist the devil and make him flee from you. That you may have the courage to say, no, I'm not going to take your mark or your vaccine or anything else you want to push on me when there is a gun to your head, or they're about to lay you in a guillotine, because that's coming. See, I made up my mind right now. They laid my head in a guillotine. I'm going to smile at them and say, I'm going to be back shortly. Remember this face because he's coming back on a white horse right behind Jesus. I'll be back real short. See, I don't care about any of that. I will not bow my knee to the Antichrist, to this beast system. And you know what's even put up one more thing, and this will be the last thing I promise, last scripture. One thing you can't say about Pastor Dean is you can't say I don't give you Bible. Jesus said it would be as the days of Noah. I want you all to put up Genesis 6 verse 5. I'm not going to get into the giants right now. That's not what this is about, but I want to show you this verse.
When Jesus said that it'll be like the days of Noah when we get near his second coming, this is what he was talking about. He says, and God saw that the wickedness of man was great in the earth, and that every imagination of the thoughts of his what? Was only evil continually. And right after this, the next verse says, God was actually sorry he even made man at this point. That's how bad it was. I mean, he's actually sitting there thinking, why did I make him? Why did I make him? Why did I do this? It's bad. Think about it, though. Think about the people around you, especially if you work out in the world system. I mean, I worked one time with a bunch of women. I was the only man in an office of about 10 women, right? And let me tell you, y'all think some men on a construction site can talk filthy stuff. These unsaved women, I could have filed an actual harassment suit because it was all day long. All day. But again, I'm sitting here thinking 20, 30 years before that, you would never hear women talk like that in public, in the workplace. It's like people's thoughts are constantly filled now. Their hearts filled. And it's so filled with all this evil and inequity, and it just all comes out. So I'm just going to ask you this before we close. What are you full of? Spiritual bovine excrement. There is none good. No, not one. We all need to fill our hearts with this book and let it separate between. Cut off that other stuff. Quit feeding that dog, and he'll lose the fight. And then you don't have to follow your heart. You can follow Jesus. Amen. I'm going to put together a medley of different songs from every generation, just for y'all next week. God willing, and the creek don't rise.
All right. Let's pray. Matter of fact, let's stand. Y'all stand. I've been standing for a while, so y'all stand with me. I want you to have that song, Surrender All, ready to go. We're going to sing that song. Let's pray. Father in heaven, we come before you, Almighty God, our creator, and the only one who can save us, the only one who can give us a new heart, the only one that can cleanse our hearts, the only one that we can fill our hearts with that will change our heart. Jesus, we come to you now. We ask you to forgive us of our sins. We ask you to cleanse us from all unrighteousness, iniquity, and evil. We ask you, Lord, God, to help us overcome the temptations, the pull, the deceit of our own heart, not just Satan, but the deceit in our own heart, because we want to be with you for all eternity, Lord. We don't want to miss out. So, Lord, I pray today for anybody in this room that has backslidden, anybody that has fallen away from you and back into their old habits, or have never truly been born again, we're going to give an opportunity for any of those people that need to repent and ask Jesus to forgive to come up and do that publicly, because that's what the Lord expected. There's no private Christianity. There's no closet Christianity. If you need forgiveness today and you need to get it right with God, I want you to come as this song is playing. So, go ahead. Anybody need to come? It's powerful when people step out. Yes, sir. Come on, brother. Hallelujah. Anybody else this morning? This man stepped on out boldly. Amen. Anybody else? It's a powerful thing when you step out. Just bow your heads for a minute. I want everybody to listen to this song, and we're going to pray with Jesus. And if you need to come, just come on now by this song. That's it.
Turn it up a little bit. Turn it up a little bit. If you need to come, come on. You said you will fill them with your Holy Spirit. You will live and dwell in them and give them the strength. Sing it to me.
Say, Father in heaven, I come to you now and I admit where I have sinned to you. You know, Lord, you know what's been in my heart. You know what I've been full of. I ask you to forgive me. Wash me. Wash me in your shed blood. Wash my sins away. I repent now. I turn away from what I was doing, how I was living, and I'm going to follow you with all my heart. Let your word come in like a sword and divide between soul and spirit. I want to be led by you, Lord. I don't want to follow my heart. I want you to fill my heart. I thank you, Jesus, that you died on that cross from my sins, that you rose from the dead the third day. I believe that from my heart, and I mean business with you now. This time, I start a new walk with you, fully, no holding back, cutting off all the devil's stuff, in Jesus' name. Amen. Give the Lord praise. Y'all can go sit down. We're going to do communion now. Now, you know, when you pray a prayer at an altar, it's only as good as what you do tomorrow, the day after that, the day after that, and the day after that. It's a decision. I'm done with that old life. Amen. I made that decision when I was 19. But guess what? I still have to make that decision every week. Amen. All right. Y'all may be seated. We're going to read this, and Bobby, Gary, would y'all come? And up here, you're going to get y'all to pass out the elements. I'm going to read. Oh, okay. Pastor Troy? Donny? Donny, go ahead. All right.
He beat you up there, so. 1 Corinthians 11. I'm going to read a little bit. Those of you at home, if you want to run, get you a saltine and some great juice, go ahead. No salt. You can scrape it off. It's only a few on there anyway. We're going to read from 1 Corinthians 11. Go down to verse 23. As they're passing these out, I'm going to just read this. He says, For I have received of the Lord, that which I delivered unto you, that the Lord Jesus, the same night in which he was betrayed, took bread. And when he had given thanks, he broke it and said, Take ye, this is my body, which is broken for you, this due in remembrance of me. After the same manner also, he took the cup, and when he had supped, saying, This cup is the New Testament in my blood, this due ye, as oft as ye drink it, in remembrance of me. For as often as you eat this bread and drink this cup, you do show the Lord's death till he come. Wherefore whosoever shall eat this bread and drink this cup of the Lord, unworthily shall be guilty of the body and blood of the Lord, but let a man examine himself, and so let him eat that bread and drink that cup. For he that eateth and drinketh unworthily, eateth and drinketh damnation to himself, not discerning the Lord's body. For this cause many are weak and sickly among you, and many sleep or are dead. For if we would judge ourselves, we should not be judged. Now, I'm just going to stop there. So, at minimum, if you plan to do this today, make sure you examine yourself. Make sure you have confessed your sins and said, Lord, forgive me of my sins and cleanse me. I want my heart to be right before you. And that's why the Bible says in 1 John 1.9, if we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So, as they finish, as we finish this, we're going to bow our heads and we're going to have like a moment of silence
so you can examine yourself and make sure things are right between you and the Lord because I don't want anybody getting sick or dying on me. That's why we don't do this a lot. I understand these churches that do it every week. It's a serious thing. Do it a little different. Let's bow our heads right now. We thank you that you allowed yourself to be beaten, whipped with a cat of nine tails. You were spit upon. Your beard was plucked out. A crown of thorns was driven down into your head. You were nailed hands and feet to a wooden cross and you hung there for hours for us. Lord, you did all that. Lord, you took a human body on that you were going to take all the sins of the world of every person upon yourself and only you could do that. No man could do it. You had to be God in the flesh. There was no other way. So we're grateful you took a body. We are thankful for that and we thank you, Lord. And we take this bread right now, Lord, in remembrance of your body that you became a man, lived a sinless life and then laid down your life. No man took it from you, but you laid it down willingly because you could have called twelve legions of angels and stopped the whole thing. But you became the Lamb of God that takes away the sin of the world. So, Lord, we thank you for taking a body, suffering and dying for us and we do this in remembrance of what you did. You can take the bread now. And in like manner we know, Lord, that your flesh was torn apart and your blood was shed so that our sins could be washed away. So right now we take the cup
and we bless it and we thank you, Lord, that it is a symbol of your precious blood that was shed for us. We take it now in Jesus' name. Lord, we thank you so much. We worship you. We adore you. We know you're coming back. Help us be ready. Whether we live to your second coming or we don't make it and we die here, I pray that everyone here today that's heard this message, those that are watching, those that are watching at a later time will make sure they are ready for whatever comes first. Let me pray this in Jesus' name. Amen. Well, all right. I praise God for that. I felt that. It's a good thing. You know, it makes you really focus. It had to be. You see, this is why anybody says Jesus was just a man. That's why that's blasphemy. It's because the moment you say that, might as well be in Troy's blood, Aiden's blood. Y'all's blood can't help me. It had to be. God taking on a human body. He's the only one that could live the perfect life. He's the only one able to take all the sins of the world and put it on himself. I mean, the weight of that was so much that even before he got beaten or touched, just in prayer he was praying. The weight of our sin was so heavy upon him that his sweat, he started sweating drops of blood. And they say that that is from intense stress for that to happen. So, you know, I can't imagine the creator letting a bunch of filthy, wicked men spit on him, mock him, beat him. And I can't imagine, you know, I hit my hand with a finger with a hammer and I about throw up sometime. I slammed my finger in my truck door one time and I literally about puked. It hurt so bad. Can you imagine big old massive nails being driven through your feet? And while you're hanging there, the only way you can breathe
is you have to push up on them to get a breath of air. It was amazing what he did. The mystery, as Paul called it, the mystery of godliness. God was manifest in the flesh. Just amazing. Well, I'm going to dismiss the service. Y'all know the drill around here. We always say it, hug some necks before you leave. You're welcome to stay. We all generally either bring food or go to a local restaurant, grab something, come back and meet downstairs and eat together. So, if you want to do that, you're a visitor and you want to stay, hang out for a while. We'd love for you to do that. We understand. But we say bye to all those watching out there all over the world. God bless you. Again, hug some necks before you leave.
