I think I was getting them wrong so I could get them right. Come, let us worship. Come, let us recognize. What a sacred thing we did. Come, let us bow down. God, as we bring our hearts, let them please the heart of you. Lord Jesus, let us be pleasing to you today. Lord Jesus, we just ask that you just anoint us and fill us, Lord God, with your presence, Lord Jesus, with the power of your spirit, Lord Jesus. We just give you praise. Let's give the Lord a great hand. Give Him a good hand. Amen. You know, I like a good song that uplifts the name of the Lord. I don't know about you, but sometimes when I worship the Lord just, He just overwhelms me. This is one of those songs that that happens on. So if I have to stop, if I have to cry, please forgive me. The spleen majesty, let all the earth rejoice. He wraps Himself, the darkness tries to hide. He's our God. Sing it to him. Praise our God.
In time, Father, speed and angle. He's our God. He's our God. Oh, we'll see how great. How great. He's our God. He's our God. How great. Get with me. Our God is our God. One more time. the Prince of Peace, the wonderful counselor. Lord, we thank you today, Lord. The same yesterday, today and forever. Lord, I think what you said, for what you said about yourself, Lord, when you defined it in Revelation 1, when you said that you are the beginning and the end, first and the last, the Almighty. Lord, great is that mystery of godliness that God manifested Himself in the flesh. Not a God, not a man, but God Almighty became a man to die for our sins. And death couldn't hold you because you are the author of life. We are thankful today. We can know you and worship you, Jesus' name. Amen. Amen. Good job, brother. Amen. One of my all-time favorites. Hallelujah. Good to have you all here today. Welcome, everyone, to Fire and Grace Church. Those watching and listening, are we on out there? Did we make it this time? All right. We're on. Good deal. Well, I guess this is part four this morning of the topic of faith. And it's amazing, you know, sometimes you think some things are elementary and that you're just covering some ground that you've covered before, but the testimonies have been rolling in, especially from people, well, people here, but people out there listening, saying that I just I needed that so much. But you're going to need this one too because I prayed and I said, Lord, should I continue this? And I think he's actually giving me like this week and next week, at least. But this one, you know, we've talked about great faith and we talked about no faith. And then we've talked about our faith versus fear and what comes out of our mouth, our words. And today we're going to talk about the gift of faith. And you can go ahead and put that up right there. The gift of faith. And it is not what you think. Now, there's a lot of people out there who think, well, because God gives us every man the measure of faith, and let's go ahead and put that up. Put up Romans 12.3. The Lord has dealt to every man the measure of faith. A lot of people think, well, that's just the gift of faith for you to be saved. All right. And that's not what the gift of faith is we're going to talk about today. It is a gift. Anything from God is a gift because we don't deserve any of it. We don't earn any of it. It's a gift.
But what we're going to be talking about today, the gift of faith is different than what's given to you so you can believe and be saved. All right. And you're going to see that in the scriptures as we get into this. But here's where Paul was writing by the inspiration of the Holy Spirit. And he said, for I say through the grace, give it unto me to every man that is among you, not to think of himself more highly than he ought to think, but to think soberly, according as God had dealt to every man, the measure of faith. Now, this is important for us to understand. If God has dealt to every man, the measure of faith, meaning God's given every single person who's ever lived the ability to believe in him from the heart, to trust him, to know him. He gives that faith. And then Jesus made the statement. And John, he said, if I be lifted up, what, I will draw all men. Somebody say all. Those two passages right there should show you that Calvinism is of the devil. Right? Because Calvinism teaches from its basic foundation that God chooses some to be saved and others to go to hell. And that's just not true. Not ever was true. In fact, anybody who ends up separated from God, going to hell for eternity, will find out that they had to fight God the whole way to do it. Because he's dealt to them the measure of faith. They've had to fight that. That's why atheists hate a God. They say that doesn't exist. All right. And what? They have to paddle their own canoe, right? Now, let's get it. Well, let's get into this. All right. Oh, thank you for putting those up. Yeah. John 1232. If I be lifted up, what did I say? John 1232. Gospel of John. If I be lifted up from the earth, I will draw all men. So God is drawing all men. He's put faith in all men. So if they don't come to Jesus, if they don't repent, then what are they doing? Resisting the Holy Spirit, right? And what did Stephen say in Acts 7 when he's preaching the Pharisees? You do always resist the Holy Ghost. As your fathers did, so do you. That's what Calvinism says. You can't resist the Holy Spirit. This is what I'm talking about. There's nothing true in Calvinism. Now, that's just free this morning. Somebody needed to hear that today. But the faith that I'm talking about being saved is when now you surrender. So we were saved by grace through faith. The grace is that God has given you the ability to believe, right?
And he's drawing you, right? So if he's given you the ability to believe already and he's drawing you, right, when you act, right, in faith, confessing Jesus as your Lord and Savior and repenting, turning from your sinful lifestyles and becoming his disciple, that's your work of faith. That's what we talked about in being, you know, the difference between having faith that's alive and active versus faith that is dead. And you can have faith that is dead because there are many people out there. You walk around now, ask somebody if they believe in God, they'll say, yeah, I believe in God. Well, that's faith, but it's not necessarily saving faith, right? So there's dead faith, there's saving faith, and then there's the gift of faith. And the gift of faith is something very, very different. Let's go to 1 Corinthians chapter 12. Because the gift of faith is within the list of the nine gifts of the Spirit. Y'all are so quiet. Now, let me just tell you something about the gift of faith. When this gift operates in your life, things get fun. I'm gonna get there myself in just a second. I'm too busy thinking about something else. But 1 Corinthians 12, let's read this. We're gonna start at verse one. Now, concerning spiritual gifts, brethren, I would not have you ignorant. What would you say that the church is probably most ignorant on? Out there, the gifts of the Holy Spirit. There's really only a small portion of what we know as we call the church world that is not ignorant about the spiritual gifts. Now, don't get me wrong. Operating these supernatural spiritual gifts are not what saves you. Are we clear? You don't have to speak in tongues to go to heaven. You don't have to believe in healing to go to heaven. You don't have to see a miracle to go to heaven. Okay? But as a Christian, you should desire not to be ignorant of spiritual gifts, and you should desire to operate in them. Okay? Because they help you, they help those around you, and they help you bring lost people to Jesus to actually plant the seed of faith in somebody. Like, remember when Jesus told the woman at the well, go get your husband. She said, I don't have a husband. And he said, no, you've had five husbands
and the one you're with now is not your husband. Oh, sir, I perceive thou art a prophet. Right? See, what he was doing there, he was using the gift of the word of knowledge that we're going to read about here. He was using that gift to plant the seed of faith and stir up the faith that she was already given by God. Right? Just really, I shouldn't even say plant the seed because it's already there. He's just going to water it with the manifestation of the supernatural. Right? And then as he continues to talk with her and she said, well, we know Messiah's coming. And then when he says, the one you speak to is I am he. Right? So then she was like, boom, I know you are. I mean, it was like an instantaneous knowing in her spirit. She knew he was the Messiah. And she went and told the whole town. Right? What she was experiencing there was that she was given this supernatural, powerful moment, manifestation of the gift of faith to believe that Jesus was the Messiah. And you're going to find out, actually, there's more to this. Actually, I'm realizing now that there's more to this gift of faith than even I thought. Because sometimes it's hard to distinguish between the gifts, right? Because, for instance, you can have something that's a word of knowledge, but somebody would call it, well, that's also the gift of prophecy operating. And sometimes they work together and sometimes they overlap one another. But vitally important. But God does not want you ignorant of spiritual gifts. And if any church is keeping you ignorant, then they're not obeying God. He says, know that she were Gentiles carried away unto these dumb idols, even as you were led. I remember one of the old preachers back then, you say you were even you were unsaved, carried to these dead churches by some of your relatives. He says, wherefore I give you to understand that no man speaking by the Spirit of God calleth Jesus accursed, and that no man can say that Jesus is the Lord, but by the Holy Ghost. Now, there are diversities of gifts, but the same Spirit. There are differences of administrations, but the same Lord. There are diversities of operations, but it is the same God, which worketh all in all. But the manifestation of the Spirit is given to every man to profit with all. Now, here God is talking about the manifestation of the Spirit is given to everybody to profit. It's for profit. Somebody say profit. You don't want loss. You won't profit, right? Right. So this is what helps you profit. In the spirit realm, this is what helps other people profit around you.
Okay, but it's the manifestation, meaning that the word manifestation here means the revelation, the obvious apparent boom. Okay. I'll give you an example. The good example of the gift of faith is when my friend Mike Pitts, he might be watching today. He came over years ago, dropped by my house one day. This is long before I was married and he dropped by my house and I was studying the Bible at the kitchen table. And he, you know, I gave him the scriptures. I gave him the word. I preached the gospel to him and he gave his life to the Lord. Well, he had his hand in this splint. And I said, what's wrong with your hand? He said, well, I fractured my hand. I said, oh, really? I said, well, do you believe Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever? He said, yeah. I said, do you believe Jesus will heal you? He said, yeah. I said, do you believe he right now? See, there's a difference. You believe he'll heal you right now. And he said, yeah, I believe it. I said, take that off. He took it off. And I prayed in the name of Jesus for Jesus to heal his hand. And then I took both my hands and squeezed his whole hand with all my might. And he was like, no pain. Now, what was that? Was that just an act of presumption? No. I so, I had a manifestation that overwhelmed my normal senses that he would be, I so believed it that he would be healed that I just acted quickly. I wasn't trying to hurt him and I wasn't trying to act foolish. I've seen people act foolishly. But when the gift of faith manifests in you, you will be able to believe right then for whatever it is that God is wanting you to do. You will just know it's going to happen. I remember praying for a woman that was deaf one time and I wasn't even preaching this particular. I was just sitting in the congregation of this church on a Wednesday night. The pastor called me up because this woman was deaf and he knew I'd been fasting and praying. And when he asked me, the pastor asked me, he said, what do you think is going to happen here? I said, oh, I know she's going to be healed. You can't say that unless you really know. And you say, well, wait a minute now. Aren't we supposed to believe it before we say it? Yeah, but this is different. When the gift of faith operates, it's not you going, I believe it. It's all of a sudden you do from deep down within you. Like you just know that you know that you know it's going to happen right then.
That's why the gift of faith is so fun. But he says the manifestation of the spirit is given to every man. So it's available to anyone. Any true Christian that wants to walk in the gifts can do this if they are willing to humble themselves and learn and start going that direction. He says for two, one is given by the spirit, the word of wisdom to another the word of knowledge by the same spirit to another faith by the same spirit to another the gifts of healing by the same spirit to another the working of miracles to another prophecy to another discerning of spirits to another divers kinds of tongues and to another the interpretation of tongues. But all of these work at that one and the self same spirit dividing to every man severally as he wills. So say this with me severally. What does severally mean? If God divides to every man severally, what does that mean? You get more than one. That's right. I want to tell you right now this is how the Lord wants to do it. He wants to give you tongues and gift of tongues. We'll talk more about that in a second. But let's go and look at this. Now y'all get ready. Put the book up here. Donnie found this book. This is a great book. Where you were listening to Ravenhill and Ravenhill mentioned the pioneers, the seven pioneer book and he's one of them. He's one of the Pentecostal pioneers. So this book was published in 1934. So think about that. 91 years ago, this was published and it's probably, from what I can tell, it's probably the foundational teaching for the entire Pentecostal and Charismatic Church on the gifts. This man had tremendous revelation and so it says here, the late Harold Horton was healed and received the baptism in the Holy Spirit under the ministry of the renowned evangelist Smith Wigglesworth. Horton's own ministry and writings touched the lives of countless thousands in many parts of the world. So I would highly recommend this book. I haven't read the whole thing yet, but what I have read so far is amazing. Now I want to read. Winton made sure I read the chapter on the gift of faith. Just go ahead. Well, we just put up that page 120. There it is. But he says right here, the gift of faith is distinct from faith, the fruit, right? That's in Galatians 5. The fruits of the Spirit are these and faithfulness or faith is one of them. He says faith is significantly the only one that is both in the Galatians list of fruits and the Corinthian list of gifts. Faith, the fruit is for character. Somebody say faith, the fruit is for character.
So you learn how to act, right? But then he goes on. He says faith, the gift is for power. One's for character, one's for power. Now this is where you get a baby. Christians cannot yet have enough character, but they can still operate in power. That's what gets us confused sometimes, right? Because we got the baby Christian. They may not know how they may not have to act together, but they God just hits them with the gift of faith and they can do something or believe for something. You go, how do they do that? They don't know squat. Well, I mean, that's why Jesus rejoiced. In fact, deliverance is the gift of faith. I get more to that in a minute, but that's why that Jesus rejoiced that the babes understood, right? So the babes went out and healed the sick and cast out devils and came back rejoicing. And Jesus said, hey, the babes get this, right? Didn't mean they still didn't need to build character over their lifetime, but they could still have power. Somebody say, I can still have power, even though I'm not perfect. Isn't that good? That's the good news. Were the disciples perfect? We watched them screwing up all through the New Testament, right? But yet Jesus was like, go heal sick, go cast out demons, go raise the dead, cleanse the lepers, but let's read on. He said, faith, the fruit is for character. Faith, the gift is for power. Those children of God who have faith, the fruit of the Spirit believe God in such a way that they are assured of salvation. They know they're born again and they're really saved and they're positive of it. Nothing can shake them from it. They believe his word in such a way that they obey his commands. That's faith that acts, right? And then it says, but those who possess faith, the gift of the Spirit believe God in such a way that God honors their word as his own and miraculously brings it to pass. He shall have whatsoever he say as Mark 11, 23, right? And then he points this out where Elijah said, there shall not be due nor reign these years, but according to my word, and it rain not on the earth for the space of three years and six months. So this is where you are so walking with God that God is when you speak, when you operate in the gift of faith, when you operate it, he honors it, okay? And this is an amazing thing to see. It works not just for good things like healing and deliverance, but it also works for judgment.
This was judgment. It's not going to rain for three and a half years. Well, guess what happens? Everything dries up. Food becomes short. Animals die. Your cattle die. Your horses die, right? All right, go to the next one. So this is this, and for any of you need to know, this is on pages 120 and 121. But he says here, saving faith goes before salvation. Faith, the fruit comes after salvation. Faith, the gift comes after the baptism in the Holy Spirit. Now I believe this, okay? Because God wants us to humble ourselves. And in fact, real quick, we'll come right back to this. Put up for me Jude 120. Real quick. Jude 120. Bet faith class, she's not up there today, right? He says here, this is and this is not a suggestion. This is a command. But ye beloved, building up yourselves on your most holy faith, how do you build up your faith? Praying in the Holy Ghost. That's praying in tongues. So that's not the only way you build up your faith, but it is huge. I tell people all the time that the gift of tongues is the gateway really to the other gifts. Now that doesn't mean God can sovereignly move his gifts through anybody at any time. But the order of how he did it in Acts in Acts 2 in Acts chapter 10 in Acts 19 every time when he was bringing believers already born again people into the power of the Holy Spirit. He baptized them in the Holy Spirit. And that was the evidence of that was the gift of tongues and the purpose of the gift of tongues is primarily for your prayer life and your worship life in your private time. But as you operate in that gift, there'll be times the Holy Spirit may move upon you to give a public tongue that is to be interpreted in the service. But know this, that praying in tongues, singing in tongues builds up your faith, increases your faith. In fact, remember when the disciples said, Lord increase our faith. Here's how. You hear me?
Now the other ways are understandable the easy like I talked about last week, reading the word, meditating upon the word like this past week, I just kept having Psalm 1 rolling around in my head. Right? Actually Psalm 1 Psalm 2 and Psalm 3 just kept rolling around in my head. So I got up one morning and I was reading it and then I would stop and I'd say, let me look up that word and I'd look up a word and I read it again and I would just sit there and think about it and I'd pray and talk to the Lord about it. This is how you meditate on it. You don't blank out your mind and visualize things. Right? And let me tell you, as I was doing that, the Lord was using Psalm 1 particularly and Psalm 3 in particular to talk to me. It was like he was and to strengthen me. All right. And I could feel myself gaining like being plugged in and getting strength from that. But you also get strength right there. Well, yeah, Luke 17 5. Y'all are doing good up there. But beloved, building up yourselves and your most holy faith praying in the Holy Ghost. So let's go back to Mr. Harold Horton's breakdown of this gift of faith. Saving faith goes before salvation. Faith, the fruit comes after salvation. Faith, the gift comes after the baptism in the Holy Spirit. I agree with this. The gift of faith is distinct from the working of miracles through both, though both produce miracles. Miracles operation is more active than passive. Faith operation is more passive than active. Miracles, the gift of miracles power does things by the spirit does things he says. Faith power receives or enjoys things by the spirit. And this was a great example and this is why I highlighted this. He said, if Daniel in the lion's den had slain the dreaded beast with a gesture like Daniel raised his hand and the lions died. He said that would be the gift of the working of miracles. He said, but the fact that Daniel decided he was in such faith to believe for his safety that he rested unharmed in the presence of fully active beast was a miracle wrought by the gift of faith. You see what he's saying? That's when you trust when you're when you can wait. When you know, for instance, this is what the Lord was showing me when I was reading this. That the faith that God gave me to believe that my heart is healed. Why I know I don't even have to go back to the doctor about it. Is because when it dropped in me, when I knew it was from him, I could just relax and trust. It's done. I don't I don't have to see
anything happen. I know I'm healed and I knew it. Before I felt the results of it. Understand because I had to actually kind of test the results because before I was healed, if I tried to go out in the heat or do anything strenuous in the heat, I started having chest pains. I started having the pain running down my arm. I started not being able to breathe. I had to take a nitroglycerin pill just to get over the episode. I mean, I was at the point of having heart attack at any point. It was that's when it was wild when they diagnosed it. We did the heart cath in June and it was like going to be three weeks until they were going to do surgery. I'm like three weeks. Y'all just told me that my heart to vow, you know, two of my main arteries 100%, two or 90% and you can, you're just a walking heart attack waiting to happen. Three weeks. I thought they're not real concerned. Right. And I know that he did tell me there were people worse off than me, right? So I'm not going to lie to you. You know, when you get those kind of reports, you're going to get concerned. I'm sure when Daniel I'm getting thrown in the lines then, you know, they're hungry. They hadn't fed those things in a while. I'm sure you went home. That's not going to might not be good. And yet gift of faith operates. I know I'm going to be fine. God's going to show himself strong. So that's what I'm saying. I knew the moment that I just felt the gift of faith drop in my heart. I knew I was canceling the surgery. Of course, I didn't want to make them panic. So I just said, I want to delay it. And then they finally called me and said that the surgeon is still out. I'm like, okay. And then they said, do you want to schedule with another surgery or you want to delay again? I said, we can just delay it again. And it's just like, why don't you just tell them? I said, I will later. Yeah. Well, I'm not having it. I know I'm not having it. I know I'm healed. But it was the gift of faith. I can't explain to you how I knew it. So, you know, because I was willing to do the surgery and this is what I'm saying. Don't be presumptuous. Don't just make up your own mind. Oh, I'm not going to have a surgery or I'm not going to take a medicine or I'm not going to do something I need to do. That's not what we do. We hear from God about the issue. And then we act. You understand? That way you can what? Have true faith. Faith comes by hearing. Let's put that verse up real quick. We'll come back to this.
Romans 10 17. Y'all have heard it. Some of you, some of you've heard it many, many, many times, but I'm going to repeat it. When he said faith cometh by hearing and hearing by the word of God. What is he talking about? Faith cometh by what? Hearing the word. Now there's two different Greek words for word. One is logos, which means the written word. Right, the expression. But there's another one. Rhema, that means what? Speak that God says it to you right then. Like when he says to the church's revelation. He that has an ear let him hear what the spirit is saying, not what the spirit said, what he is saying to the churches. We've got to know what God said in the Bible, and we also have to know what God is saying about everything in our lives. This is why Nancy and I, our counseling method is go pray about it. We tell people all the time. What did God tell you? Why? Because I'm not your Holy Spirit. She's not your Holy Spirit. Now sometimes when you're hard-headed and stubborn and you let your carnal mind rule, the Lord will say you need to tell them this. And I will tell you. Or she will tell you. Well, this is what we heard from God, but you still need to go. Pray about it. And do what? Hear from the Lord. You know, what if I go praying? I don't hear from the Lord. Well, keep praying until you do. Start fasting until you do. Meditate on the word. Turn the phone off. Turn the TV off. Whatever you got to do until you can tune your spirit man back into hearing from God. Amen. So if you want this faith to operate, you've got to be hearing. You understand? All right. Go back to her. All right. Now, now he goes on to say that he said the working of miracles employs active faith that actively works a miracle. Just like boom. Okay. The gift of faith employs active faith that passively expects a miracle. A sustained or continuous miracle. See, right now I'm trusting God. I'm completely in faith that I'm not going to die of a heart attack. I have no doubt. That's not the way I'm going. Now, when I do, let's say,
you know, it's my time and they put me in a guillotine. If they try to take my heart, they're going to find out it may still be clogged. Like they may find it clogged 100% all places. They're like, how is this guy even alive? How did he live? I live by the faith of the Son of God. Amen. See, that's another thing I figured about that. I don't know why I'm talking about this as more, but the other thing I figured about it was when I realized that within the last, say, several years, I could have dropped dead at any moment and I didn't. I said, well, God's been keeping me alive. So I believe he's going to keep me alive, just like he's been keeping me alive. Kind of makes sense, right? But see, here's what happens to us though. This is why it's, I'm going to go to another verse. Proverbs 6. I think it's first. No, it's three six. Or six three. Trust in the Lord with all your heart. Is it three? Three five three six. Okay. I got my numbers reversed. All right. Let's look at this. Trust in the Lord with all thine heart and lean not to thine own understanding in all your ways. Acknowledge him and he shall direct thy path. Now, let's back up to the verse five where we get in trouble and see, this is what we do when we don't hear from God. We start leaning away from God to our own understanding and try to figure it out. This is where we start. And this is the place where we get anxious and fearful and start jumping out and do with this and trying that and doing this and going over here. And when the Lord says, why don't you just wait on me and hear from me then do. Oh, come on now. I'm just preaching the Bible this morning. Let's go back to. Let's go to the next actually the next half of that page and I'll be done with this part of this. So he talks about he says if the disciples and remember last week we talked about this in the boat being tossed with a storm. He said if the disciples in the tempest tossed boat had remained calmly assured in spite of the roaring and turbulence of the wind and the wave the Lord would have shown them the miracle of faith the gift of faith. He said taking them through the billows exist
sent them to trust him in the storm. He was compelled to remove it by a lesser miracle of working of miracles since he could not pacify their hearts in the fury of the tempest he had to pacify them by pacifying the waters. Since he failed to get them to believe for the peace and security they could not see he had to show them the peace and safety to calm their fears. That is the difference between a miracle of the gift of miracles and a miracle of the gift of faith. He says and of course the gift of faith is distinct from the gifts of healing. All miracles of healing are wrought by the gifts of healing through what we might call general faith. The gift of faith produces other miracles which we will consider in a moment. And then he says this and this is something I've said for years. Who knows? Maybe I heard it from somebody that that knew about him but I've said this. The best way to describe the gifts of the Holy Spirit because again they're for Christians who already have faith. So why do we need the gift of faith if we already have faith? What they are is supernatural power surges. Let's just put it that way. That's when the Lord you know is riding on eight or nine and turns it up to 11. All right. That's when in the race car you hit the nitrous. Right. And this is what's beautiful because this is when people look at you and go how did you do that? And you step back and go I don't even know. He just dropped it in me and I could do it in faith. Now for the gift of faith to work in your life on a regular basis first of all you have to desire it. Second of all guess what? You have to be willing to be like a surfer who's waiting for the big one. You don't know when it's coming. Right. But you're positioned in the right spot waiting for it. You're not going to surf a wave in if you never paddle out. Now while you're waiting on the wave there's sharks around. Little devil sharks. And they're going to try to bite your feet off so you can't walk in faith. Right. So you got to pray away the sharks because we have dominion over the fish of the sea if you believe that. See I when I go swimming I'm not afraid. When I go to the ocean why? Because I said Lord I have dominion over the fish of the sea. I command sharks to be gone.
Dolphins come around. We have a good time. Right faith. Faith and I swim in waves that were full of jellyfish. The Lord just protects us. Right. And I haven't seen a shark swimming since I was 14 years old. Yet they're everywhere. Right. So that's good news. Now he says right here since he couldn't get them to trust him in the storm. Do you know how bad God wants us to be trusting him when we're going through the storm to relax. To rest in faith knowing I don't know how we're going from here to over there but God said we're going over there and that's where we're going. So I'm going to go back here and take a nap with Jesus instead of waking him up going you don't care about us or we're going to die. This is a beautiful description but faith the gift of faith is just an explosion and I realized after reading this I realized how many times this has happened in my life over the last 38 years. Like when you're praying for someone in a wheelchair and I had this happen years ago and I'm praying for this person in this wheelchair and of course anybody can just say rise and walk. I mean we've heard we've read that in the Bible right for crippled people rise up and walk right. But if you just say it because you're repeating something you've heard you're just a parrot. That doesn't mean it's faith just because you say it or you repeat it. Here's what happened when I was praying for this woman who had been paralyzed in a wheelchair for two years. When I was praying for her I heard the Lord say to me tell her that I said for her to rise up and walk and I know why the Lord did it that way because he told me this has nothing to do with you. It's because I'm saying it to her through you but you are not doing this. And when I told her I said exactly to her her name was Mary Elizabeth. I said Mary Elizabeth you know people in Montgomery love them double names. I said Mary Elizabeth I said the Lord said for me to tell you that he said for you to rise up and walk and she got up she stood up and started walking and kept walking
went back to work see I heard the word of the Lord and that gave me the faith to act to say it. This is why we've got people running to these healing meetings where you got all these freaks we got all these showmen and these wheelchairs nobody gets out of them right because why? Maybe it's not time for that person. Wait a minute and see this is where where there's a big argument and disagreement. In fact I've had a big argument and disagree but with several of our graduates from our school of ministry over this issue but they believe it's always God's will to heal right when you're praying. Well guess what? My experience of 38 years is you have an opportunity to see it when you're praying but it doesn't mean it's going to happen every time and in fact there was one situation that we were praying for somebody to be healed I mean fasting praying believing for someone to be healed and she died. Later on I found out and I'm not getting into the details because somebody will figure out who I'm talking about but later on I found out that she was pretending to be a Christian she was really a witch and then the Lord said I didn't heal her because that was judgment upon her for her wickedness and oh see somebody doesn't get healed you may not know why you may think you know everything this is why it's great to know the healing scriptures it's great to pray in faith and speak the word and step out in faith God may do it's his will but when he speaks it when he drops the faith in for it and you just know absolutely know what's going to happen right then then it's going to happen right? of the Apostle Peter pulling gold coin out of a fish's mouth and did a pretty good job I said dark hair tan skin and actually looks like somebody we know but Jesus told him go you know they were probably I'm guessing they were at the Sea of Galilee and he said go and the first fish you take up there's going to be money in its mouth now I don't know of ever in history being recorded that somebody reeled in a fish or caught a net full of fish and decided to open one's mouth and pulled out a gold coin never heard of this happening and I'm sure that Peter as a fisherman never saw that happen so the Lord's telling him oh yes okay we're going to pay our taxes here's how we're going to pay it you're going to go over here going to pull the first fish up open its mouth and pull out the money if Peter had leaned to his own understanding he would be going what kind of crazy talk is this this guy is off his rocker he's a madman he's insane but he knew who said it see what does that say up there Matthew 17 right this is right after Matthew 16 when Jesus asked him who do you say I am and Peter spoke up you are the Christ the Son of the living God and he said flesh and blood your own understanding didn't reveal this to you but my Father which is in heaven so Peter had a supernatural revelation of faith of who Jesus was so he knew who was talking to him so he didn't doubt he didn't lean to his own understanding he obeyed went and pulled the fish up and pulled the money out and paid the taxes you're going to be asked to do things sometimes by the Lord if you're listening to the Holy Spirit if you're dedicated you are going to be directed to do things that sound sometimes crazy ridiculous impossible beyond impossible but see that's where the fun stuff is that's where you get to see people get out of a wheelchair get their hearing back dead person come back to life

in the past you're going to offend some people I'm sorry it's going to happen you're going to offend them I've seen look what's his name that guy that in the book he wrote about praying in tongues Dave Roberson the book Walk of the Spirit Walk of Power he knew God called him some people don't know who this is but this guy he used to go to Nancy's church that she went to growing up and this guy knew God called into the ministry and he was working eight hours in a job and the Lord told him laid in his heart I want you to quit that job you're working for me now okay you know what to do right there's no invitations to go to churches to preach but God's called him to the ministry so so what do I do well what most people do is decide well I'm gonna run off to Bible school somewhere no I was gonna say somebody say no no first thing you do is we're gonna find out what God wants so he didn't know what to do but he knew about praying in tongues so he said you know what I'm gonna give God eight hours of prayer he said by the first what 20 minutes he was out of English words so he said he started praying in tongues in the spirit eight hours a day and this went on for a while how many how long yeah it was it was a while and one day he said he was sitting in the local was it a Methodist Church or Baptist Church I can't remember anyway it was it was one of those traditional denominational churches that basically have no faith not for power not for healing not for miracles and because he's been praying in yeah as a Bible study in that church or something but he because he's been praying in the spirit so long and so often and he had obeyed the Lord to start working for him there was a lady that that had some kind of problem and he reached over her leg or whatever and he reached over and prayed for and she was healed oh boy then people kind of people started getting healed and guess what that church did to him I mean they knew these people who were sick and had all these problems and you know couldn't walk all these people getting healed they threw him out they threw him out because he busted up their roof of unbelief y'all you hear me you're gonna bust up some roofs if you walk in faith and the rest of the church doesn't want to guess who you're gonna have the most problems from the Christians who don't want to who don't want to believe it
oh you're talking about your hand seeing this is a new thing now if you start talking about the gifts of the Holy Spirit tongues healing miracles walking in faith supernatural provision you start oh your word of faith you're in there you're word of faith there's there's a demon out there it's just like oh it's just let me tell you what you stick with this let me let me show you something else too so you got to be willing to do some dangerous things go to mark chapter five real quick it's only five after twelve I don't know how I've gotten through all this so quick but I want to show you this all right oh go down let's see verse 25 well verse 24 we'll start there and Jesus went with him and much people followed and thronged him so there were people all around him and a certain woman which had an issue of blood twelve years and had suffered many things of many physicians and had spent all that she had and was nothing better but rather grew worse when she had heard of Jesus oh let me stop right there she heard of him what is what is she here? the Messiah is here the Son of David is here there were prophecies in the Old Testament about him coming to heal the sick the blind the lame the deaf and she in her heart now get this this is what she says she had this issue of blood she was bleeding for twelve years suffered many things of the physicians when she had heard of Jesus came in the press behind and touched his garment for she said if I may touch but his clothes I shall behold and straightway or immediately the fountain of her blood was dried up and she felt in her body that she was healed of that plague and Jesus immediately knowing in himself that virtue he felt the power go out of him turned him about in the press and said who touched my clothes this disciple said didn't you see the multitude throwing these say who touched me and he looked about to see here that had done this thing but the woman fearing and trembling knowing what was done in her came and fell down before him and told him the truth and he said in her daughter thy faith has made the hole go in peace
and behold of thy plague now let's stop right there why was she trembling why was she terrified because Leviticus Leviticus chapter what is it chapter 15 you know you can go there if you want to Leviticus 15 it talks about a woman's menstrual cycle that when she was on it or it goes on to say if she has an issue that continues goes past that because sometimes there are problems right says she was supposed to be unclean for seven days minimum and if it continued not only was she considered unclean but her clothes her bed anything she touched and anybody who touched her became unclean and had to be separated all right you can read it all in Leviticus 15 so she knew that even going out in public she was breaking the law oh my goodness y'all ain't getting this are you but remember Jesus was in the process of moving them from the old covenant to the new covenant and she's caught right in the middle of it this whole transition but she believed she so knew the gift of faith will put you out there where nobody wants you where everybody hates you where they want to kill you because she could be stoned for this and Jesus think about this Jesus being the sinless son of God here's an unclean woman with an issue of blood touching him so under the old covenant law if that was what they were still under she was going to make him unclean but her faith see before she even got healed her faith had made her clean you understand that's why faith comes before the miracle faith always comes before the man real faith and she so believed she would be healed she was willing to risk her life her reputation and she wasn't just going to touch Jesus she was going to touch she probably touched a lot of folks trying to get through him to him through the crowd they could have turned around and looked at her and said we got to stone you
see you've got to be willing to be a little dangerous you understand I put myself obeying God I've been in some dangerous situations and this is another thing that Mr. Harold Horton talks about in this book the gifts of the spirit he says that just like Daniel he goes on to talk about how when you can be at peace and rest when you're in the middle of a dangerous situation because you know Jesus told you to be there see like when I went to Africa in 2006 I went in 2006 I went in 2006 to Nigeria 2006 or 2002 I get through the airport and I get in you know I get through fine and dandy 2006 when I get to the airport Legos Nigeria I get pretty much basically arrested detained by soldiers some of which soldiers were Muslim so I'm detained put in a cage put in a jail cell with other people for 12 hours I even tried to bribe them I mean I had crisp hundred dollar bills I said come here I said just hey man you know the people that are picking me up after I said come on I'll give you this you open the door everything's cool right wouldn't even talk to me I said do you see this I mean that was a hundred dollar bill it's a hundred thirty-four thousand in IRA something like that and they didn't let me out but even though I was in there for 12 hours I never felt anxiety about it I never felt worried I never felt fearful and then when they come get you at midnight three guys with guns AK-47s and don't say anything to you I think you don't speak to me or walk me out I don't know a mile till we went through these hangers in the dark and then we would walk out of this hanger or at the airport out on the tarmac we're way out there I'm like yep they're about to put a bullet in my head and feed me to the to the gorillas or something I was like well lord if this and I actually said well if this is it this is it I know I'm here because you wanted me here I know I'm doing what you want me to do I'm telling you there was no fear whatsoever
no anxiety nothing and then they walked me out to this airplane and put me in first class seat now they didn't let me in the country sent me back home but hey I flew first class Dutch KLM airlines is wonderful but you see what I'm saying that was the gift of faith because it was like I'm in the lions den but nothing's going to touch me and if it does I'm fine if it doesn't I'm fine I mean it was this is what and in the days ahead folks you're going to have to have that kind of peace in the midst of the storm through the storm and some of this storm we're not going to get delivered from we're going to have to go through it and you got to trust the Lord so fully that you can relax because if you don't this is why it says that men's hearts are going to fail them for fear seeing what is coming upon the earth because they can't rest in the storm I would love to sleep with a bunch of lions I lay my head on one of them and have two on each side and just just go it's like I'm one of them I'm a lion I'm in here we got we we buds now I could do that though I don't know if I could do it with snakes but I could do it no I could and you could and this is what's again what you got to believe the Lord can give you faith that you are fully his in the midst of whatever is happening when I walked out of that church that time and those three guys got out and pointed the guns at me no fear whatsoever and they saw something that terrified them they turned around ran back to the car and threw their guns in the trunk and took off you know what that is gift of faith people talk about oh psalm 91 psalm 91 psalm 91 well guess what it's psalm 91 says I will say of the Lord he is my refuge in my fortress are you abiding in the secret place of the most high psalm 91

true faith in God that I am not afraid we had faith and I and Donnie we went down I spoke to the Dell County Republican Party come back we dropped Donnie off this is somewhere around 11 30 12 at night faith and I are headed back home down 29 and all of a sudden this car comes out of nowhere gets on my so close to me that I thought it was going to hit me and then it backed off and then it did it again now it could have passed at any point there's no traffic out right it could have passed me anytime it didn't want to pass and it did that the third time and I'm just like all right safety off you know I don't know what's going on here and that's when I told faith about this car and he was getting so close to me I could not see its headlights in my rear view mirror and I thought it's about to hit me as we're going down the hill to that big creek that Beansville Creek is like a river going down that hill and it does it again and then it backs off and all of a sudden as she turns around and looks and I turn around and look we start up the hill it did the fastest U-turn on the bridge that I've ever seen and went the other direction they say it's kind of weird yeah it's kind of weird but what do you think that kind of stuff is it happened when I was running for governor last time scare put fear intimidation whatever you know what I'm saying but there is none and the lords let me know it's going to get more dangerous as the days go and then yesterday y'all got a second yesterday we find out some things about Huntsville that we're going to talk about later and now I believe that not only is Alabama going to be have the space command they should call it the ether command right because it is operations above 73 miles I know what it is but what we found out yesterday and I can't go into it because this is going to take too long but what we found out yesterday is I think that Alabama is also from what they're saying and this is coming from the alien UFO community and the deep state intelligence people and all kinds of stuff they're saying that it's all going to come out of Huntsville, Alabama like disclosure the whole nine yards now we know why not only is space command coming to Huntsville but you have FEMA there you have homeland security and the FBI headquarters I think Alabama is actually going to be a fallback position
