oh [Music] yes i praise you for i am the lord your god for i have called you and i will anoint you says the lord and i will fill you with my spirit hunger and thirst for me and i will give you more than you can handle more than you could ever dream for i long to fill the people with my spirit i long to speak to you and to show you things to come i long to lead you and guide you into all truth i long to fill you with fire and power i want to see you walk in the fullness of my spirit do not sell yourself short do not let things distract you go after me says the lord search for me and i will fill you i will anoint you i will empower you i will flow through you i will set the captives free be filled with my spirit says the lord thank you jesus praise you jesus you know many people don't know that that is a command in the bible ephesians chapter 5 verse 18 be not drunk with wine whereas in excess but be filled with the spirit it's a command it's not a suggestion it's not just an idea that sounds nice or religious or spiritual it is a command to each of us to be filled with the holy spirit and that it's up to us to seek him to thirst he promised that he would fill those who were hungry and thirsty the problem is not with god's willingness to fill us the problem is with us hungering and thirsting enough until he does fill us he's looking you know there's that scripture in second chronicles i believe it is 16 where he says he's looking to find people whose hearts are perfect toward
him that doesn't mean perfect people but a perfect heart wants god more than anything else once god's word wants god's will wants god's spirit in them you know david when he fell into sin his cry was take not your holy spirit from me he realized you know what i'm in trouble here i could end up like saul where where he even talked about saul had been anointed saul had been touched and filled with the holy spirit prophesying became another man was given another heart by the holy spirit and yet when when he died david said it was though he had never been anointed he lost it the spirit of god departed from saul that's the last thing you want to happen but the lord has said this in prayer meeting last week and now this morning through tongues and interpretation which is equivalent to prophecy he's saying be filled with my spirit hunger and thirst for my holy spirit do whatever you must do to search to desire to thirst and be filled i keep you know this is twice in a week and that i have felt him impress me it's up to you how much you want up to you how much you want to be filled how much you want to be anointed how much do you want to flow in the gifts of the spirit and be be a powerful christian he he said that he sent the holy spirit to give us power to be a witness it's all about that i want the power of the holy spirit so that i can walk in the spirit so that i can walk closer to god and so that i can impact people around me because they need more than just words they need those words to be powerful they need those words to be penetrating there are many preachers and there are many christians who say a lot of words but they don't have power behind them you got to have the power of a holy life the power of a of a hungry thirsty heart a power that's anointed i love what i remember leonard ravenhill said this because you know a term for the anointing a term for the spirit of god empowering a person they used to call it function when the holy spirit ocean or the holy spirit empowerment the holy spirit anointing and he would say you know i'm not quite sure what what auction is but i sure know what it is not this morning all across america and across the world they're going to be people preaching and they may even be saying words that are correct but it doesn't mean they're anointed it doesn't mean they're powerful it doesn't mean it's what the holy spirit wants at that moment being said and being preached there's nothing like a man woman of god
a true christian that's not only knowledgeable of the scriptures but is is in tune with the holy spirit and knowing what word to speak in season to a person to a congregation even to a city to a nation i'm telling you a lot of people go you know they think preaching is just just knowledge and and and understanding how to speak publicly but true preaching is just trying to find what the holy spirit is saying at that moment and to say it from the scriptures and from the heart what the holy spirit is saying to the church that's why the church is so powerless and dead and struggling is because there's so little true anointed preaching and teaching even counseling man let me tell you we need the holy spirit tell my wife all the time hey people ask me sometimes why how do you how would you go to a nation like when i went to mauritius or nigeria and preach three times a day sometime for two three four weeks you don't have time to prep for each sermon it's called being filled with the holy spirit and just letting him speak through you in the moment that's why you got to get filled that's why you feel yourself with the word that's why you spend time in prayer that's why you get baptized in the holy spirit and pray in tongues that's why so listen folks we that's why we we need listen we gotta study the bible yes be faithful studying the bible know the bible backwards and forwards the best you can but then be filled with the holy spirit be anointed and that only comes by agonizing in prayer that comes by hungering and thirsting that comes from fasting that comes from resisting temptation i wanna tell you another thing the lord impressed me this morning was he said you know what there's a there's a time of temptation before there's a time of empowering remember jesus was led by the spirit of god into the wilderness to be tempted of the devil and when jesus resisted that temptation and won that victory through prayer and fasting and spiritual warfare resisting the devil when he came out of that wilderness it says he was filled with holy ghost power he came out of that wilderness in time of temptation with power so much that people wondered and the demons cried out when he walked into church amen you resist temptation you go through your time of temptation you resist it and you keep praying and you keep fasting and you keep crying out to be filled with the holy ghost and god sees that true heart of hunger and thirst for righteousness and thirst for him he will fill you and he will shock you
what he will do through you he's looking for people who want him that's revival when enough people in the church want him like that he will fill the place amen y'all may be seated this morning god is faithful to fill his children amen several things i want to share with you this morning and what happened oh it's over here we're preparing to do something as a church i want everybody to do and if we're going to get everybody this book if you don't already have it but in the next month hear what i'm saying in the next month i want everybody to have this book and to read this book as in our church this book is the account of the azusa street revival from the firsthand witness intercessor and man who preached there ministered there he wasn't the leader per se but he was one of the leaders his name is frank bartleman anyway the book's called azusa street and i read this book back in probably 1989 or so when i began my study of revivals and revival history and you cannot ignore the azusa street revival if you study revival history now i know there's a lot of people who are baptist methodists and presbyterian and anti-holy ghost and anti-tongues and anti-jesus healing almost sound anti-christ to me but the bottom line is this revival was really the most significant move of god in the 20th century and is still impacting us to this day and it restored when god poured out his spirit and i'm going to show you some things this morning but when god poured out his spirit at azusa street at the azusa street mission and really it started at another place called bonnie on bonnie bray street but they outgrew that place and they moved to the azusa street 3 312 azusa street in los angeles but when god poured out his spirit there in april of of 1906 it was to restore the baptism of the holy spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues and all the other gifts of the spirit to the church now you know there's a lot of people that are anti-tongues but i'm just gonna say it if your anti-tongue is your anti-bible and if you're anti-tongues you're anti-holy ghost because he's about those things tongues god wanted that truth the gift of tongues for and there's diverse kinds of tongues but he wanted that gift to restore to the church because it is powerful to help you in prayer privately it's also powerful in
public i mean there are people ashamed of the gift of tongues even now within the pentecostal charismatic movement they're ashamed of the gift of tongues and are trying to be seeker sensitive and yet god said in first corinthians 14 through the apostle paul he said tongues was assigned to the unbeliever now think about that one that goes against the normal way of thinking in the brain doesn't it but that's usually how god does his ways are higher in our ways his thoughts are higher than our thoughts the gift of tongues is one of the most powerful things that's ever happened to me being baptized in the holy spirit and beginning to learn to pray in tongues and then the bible says that he that prayeth in an unknown tongue let him pray that he may interpret a lot of people think that if you give a tongue in church you shouldn't give the interpretation no the bible says you're supposed to pray and ask for it you're supposed to pray and ask god to give you the interpretation of your own tongues i have for years and so some from time to time as i'm praying in tongues or god has me give a message in tongues whether it's in private or in public god will give me the interpretation now in our church and for those listening by blog talk radio and he'll listen to the podcast in the archive you know most of the time we have someone else in our church give the interpretation but either way is fine right but god is god desires to speak to his people and that's you know there's so many things burning in my heart right now but i believe i believe that if we can all read this this book and get a hold of the spirit of revival that the holy spirit brought to the church in 1906 that original revival the prayer and hunger that it took to get god to pour out his spirit in los angeles california that touched our entire nation and the world i mean it's a historical fact that the pentecostal movement birthed at azusa street in 1906 has touched the world and is the largest and fastest growing segment of the church in the 20th century and now the 21st century why why did why did the baptism of the holy spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues and the gifts of prophecy and healing and miracles and all that and casting out demons and all the things that was restored to the church during that revival why why was it so why did it cause one of the greatest periods of church growth missions evangelism world missions why did it cause that because that's what the power of the holy spirit will motivate you the power of the holy spirit coming upon you filling you yes great for your private time of worship and prayer great for your local church to be edified and exhorted and to hear what the holy spirit's saying but the the ultimate reason to be filled and and to hunger and thirst for this baptism of the holy spirit to be pentecostal truly pentecost the whole
reason for it is to have the power to be a witness to be more effective and the proof of the 20th century pentecostal movement is that there has been power in evangelism the the pentecostal movement has shaken central and south america africa india and and those early missionaries that went from the azusa street revival that went to india in africa like john g lake went to azusa street was baptized in the holy spirit god led him to become a missionary to to africa and a powerful healing ministry and in prayer ministry that went through that man i mean there's no telling how many millions got saved and healed through the ministry and baptizing the holy spirit with the gift through the ministry of john g lake there was another minister that went to the azusa street revival that got baptized in the holy spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues got anointed had the call of god went to india and for many years impacted hundreds of thousands of people with the true gospel the powerful full gospel of jesus christ in india many many of the early pentecostals in america were extremely persecuted here in america they would take pentecostal preachers out and beat them with hoses many of you don't know have any concept of what the early pentecostals went through now were there mistakes were there excesses were there some counterfeit stuff got in yes that's going to happen in any revival in any church in any movement there's going to get some counterfeit and some faults involved in it but you eat the hay and you spit out the sticks amen you you prove what is good you hold fast to what is good you reject what is false and you know folks i like i've said many times i am not ashamed of the word of god i'm not ashamed of the holy spirit i'm not ashamed that i speak in tongues i'm not ashamed of being pentecostal charismatic however you want to say it i'm not ashamed that i believe what the bible says amen i love in acts chapter 2 after they were baptized in the holy spirit the evidence is speaking in other tongues those 120 a lot of people say oh it was just the apostles no last time i checked it was 120 people in the upper room and 12 12 of them were apostles but the rest weren't and they were all baptized in the holy spirit and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance it just wasn't known languages that they had not learned it was the angels the tongues of angels it was supernatural it was unknown it was
beyond their understanding they were baptized in the holy spirit peter stands up to preach this is that which was spoken by the prophet joel in the last days i will pour out my spirit on all flesh your sons and your daughters shall prophesy your young men shall see visions your old men shall dream dreams he spoke that word and then he ends that chapter toward the end of that chapter he he ends it after he preaches this message repent you killed the prince of life you murderers to this massive crowd that's listening the first sermon of the church and he's preaching this repent save yourself from this wicked generation that killed the messiah save yourselves from the judgment that's coming and it says the men that were listening the people that were listening their hearts were pricked that means they were convicted of their sin and he said man and brother what shall we do and he said repent repent and believe on the lord jesus christ and you'll be saved and be baptized and you'll be said and then he said this he said and this promise is unto you and your children and to all them that are far off even as many as the lord our god shall call this promise of being saved by the blood of jesus after you repent of sin being filled with the holy spirit having the gift of tongues and the gifts of interpretation the gifts of prophecy these things are normal of christianity normal anything else is abnormal it's not complicated if we'll turn loose of sin it will turn loose of lukewarmness and apathy it will turn loose of idols it will turn lucifer us if we'll turn us of our sins and cry out for jesus to wash us and cleanse us and cry out for him to fill us with the holy ghost he will do it i proved it in my own life see we have people young people you're never going to experience the power of god until you turn loose of everything that when you don't care when i was 19 i had it all i had the sex drugs rock and roll gonna be rich and famous i was party animal popular all that stuff but when i decided i wanted jesus when i was convicted of my sin that i was a sinner i was wicked i was evil i was on my way to hell when god took the gospel and penetrated my heart and when god gave me that vision it showed me that my my decisions and my choices would lead me to hell and that jesus died on that cross for my sins and rose from the dead and he was the only way the only savior the only life and when i when i sat there and contemplated what what should i choose god or the
world god almighty my creator and what he has for me or what the world has for me that i already knew was darkness and depression and destruction i already knew it at 19 years old what it was doing to me and when i said lord i remember the lord spoke to me first time i ever heard his voice he said son you can have everything the world has to offer and go to hell or you can surrender your life to me and live forever and i remember sitting there it was clear i had a decision to make and in that moment there were no feelings i didn't have any goosebumps or glory or feeling the presence of god it was a conversation and a decision that i had to make but when i made the decision oh boy i said these words to the lord when i thought about it in my mind i said you know what lord i'm gonna do this and i said these words to him i said lord i'm gonna go with you and i'm gonna go all the way and i'm gonna do it right i refuse to be a hypocrite see i understood it meant total surrender of all my sin all my plans all my ideas everything and it was the best thing i ever did because see when you're willing to to turn loose of it all god's got somebody then he can fill and boy did he ever just three weeks later baptized in the holy spirit with the evidence of speaking in another tongue i wasn't in a church service i was in my private prayer life seeking after god reading the bible and saying lord they had this the apostles got baptized in the holy spirit the 120 got baptized in the holy spirit and spoke in tongues this if they had to have this i know i needed boom [Music] phil started speaking out god didn't move my mouth i moved it but he filled me and the spirit gave me the utterance and from that time forward my life was transformed the other gifts of the spirit began to work in my life it was such a powerful encounter that the satanists and the witches in that city when one of them finally came to me and said we know you are a real christian i said we what are you talking about she said we the satanists the witches in the city we have watched you we have cursed you we have put death curses on you destruction rituals we have set our most powerful demons and forces after you no effect we see the light and glory of god on you
we know you're a real christian and then this girl says to me help me help me help me out of this this witch and my life started an amazing adventure after i led this witch to jesus and i saw demons rise up and speak through her and i cast demons out for the first time you know why i believed i could cast out demons because the bible said i could jesus said in my name you will cast out demons you will speak with new tongues i knew jesus said in john 14 12 the works that i do you shall do also i just been reading my bible i didn't have a church or a denomination or a seminary to mess me up to get me to not believe it and since that time i have seen many saved healed delivered from demon spirits i mean i've cast out more demons than i can count i've seen every miracle just about that jesus did i've seen miracles of healing i've seen cancer patients who were in fourth stage tumors all over their body i've seen in the name of jesus cancer disappear i've seen the death rays the death here the crippled walk jesus is the same yesterday today and forever and i'm telling you he wants a people that will demonstrate the power of his resurrection to a lost and dying world but he will not move through people who will keep their idols their lust their sin their compromise he's not going to move through that he wants a people hungry and thirsty for righteousness hungry and thirsty for him hungry and thirsty for his word that cares about the lost and deceived and not just the the unsaved but even the backslidden church and you can't help anybody unless you're filled with power from on high you can't do anything worth anything i mean think about it guys i've said it before but if jesus trained these 12 men we know he lost one so we had 11 left and he trained these these these men for three years over three years really he trained them that means that they they walked with him they talked with him they they they slept out under the stars together because they had to camp and they they would travel from city to city they were with him when he would preach they were with him when he'd go home and he'd eat and they would and he
would they would ask him to explain what he taught he'd explain it to him you couldn't have better training you couldn't have better discipleship than the lord jesus christ himself god in the flesh sitting with you day by day for three years teaching you and yet he tells those men after he dies on the cross and he's resurrected he tells those men don't do anything yet go to jerusalem wait for the promise of the father i have told you i will baptize you with the holy ghost and fire go there and wait and you will be endued with power from on high trained by jesus already sent out by him when he sent them out during his ministry he had already anointed them and sent them out to heal the sick and cast out demons and preach the gospel of repentance but he said that's not enough it's not enough go wait there's more somebody say there's more can i give you a little clue with the eternal god he is limitless there's always more of him amen always more always always always always more and that's been the key you know to every revival has been a people who got sick of not having enough of him not having enough of his presence his power his truth they are sick of church as usual they were sick and tired of being defeated by the devil and they finally said enough is enough god i've got to have more of you god loves that when you finally get tired of living a mediocre lukewarm sid and ridden life and you're ready to give it up and get filled god's fired me back up about this again because you know what god gave me a powerful a powerful revelation i've shared with him but i'm gonna share it this morning it's gonna blow your mind turn your bibles real quick i shared this on the radio the other night i do have to make a correction because there was a typo in a statistic but it doesn't change anything but revelation chapter 8 i'm going to read something to you now i've taught this church and i've taught it in our prophecy conferences and i've taught it on the radio and i've taught it on our church probably more than once this is not a message this morning to go back into the the seven
trumpets or anything though for those of you listening if you've never heard the seven trumpets message to understand where i'm about to share you can go to youtube type in dean odle d-e-a-n-o-d-l-e and youtube and watch the seals and the trumpets video and you'll understand but just to share this this was one of the most powerful revelations just something i've read the book of revelation so many times and i know church history i knew like i said i read about azusa street and the welsh revival and all the revivals the hebrides revival you know i was involved in the brownsville revival i was there night after night after night i've i've been hungry for real revival saw real revival early in in the in the late 80s and then again when the 90s uh brownsville revival hit was touched powerfully took that and went other places saw the power of god move and flow so i understand i love revival hungry for revival i'm not going to say that there hadn't been times in my life in ministry that i've gotten discouraged you know just feeling like god when are you going to do it and you know you sometimes you get discouraged and you back up and just say well i've prayed and prayed and prayed and i'm not gonna i'm just you know whatever but the lord he knows we are human and that we back up sometimes but [Music] the other night uh tuesday i was getting ready to do the radio program that was during the day really and i knew the lord wanted me to do the seven trumpets and of course in in this church we believe that the seven trumpets uh overlap the seals and the vials and that all of them end at the same time but they don't necessarily start at the same time um but also believe that five of the seven of the trumpets have already happened and can prove that pretty well right and that they started with the first trumpet being world war one in 1914 just for those listening a good idea on this is the second trumpet uh being world war ii we believe and of course it says there that he saw a burning mountain as it were a burning mountain fall into the sea and then he says one-third of the ships were destroyed and the third part of the creatures in the sea perished well in world war ii was the first use of the atomic bomb i believe that was the mountain of fire but it was even more specific because we know that there were 105 127 ships used in world war ii including some of the merchant ships used to transport things and that there were 36 387 sunk which is exactly one-third of the ships were destroyed in world war ii obviously two being such a big event we'd never had a war that killed over 50 million people in world war ii killed over 50 million people very
significant event so we believe that just like the third trumpet says wormwood many men died the waters were made bitter by wormwood wormwood translated from english to ukrainian is the the word chernobyl and chernobyl of course was the worst nuclear disaster in history fukushima may eclipse it as we go forward but chernobyl um affected well over 17 million people polluted the waters and the farms of europe all the way to wales uh from ukraine and of course chernobyl was in the ukraine that's why we translate wormwood from english to ukrainian you find out that it's the term the word is chernobyl so we know that these trumpets have already happened you can go and you can look those up but i was asking the lord just for confirmation the other night before i went into the teaching on the radio about the seven trumpets and i said lord just give me an you know i'm just i just want another confirmation that the trumpets began to happen in the turn of the century in the early 1900s so i open my bible it's amazing when you ask god questions because he's faithful to answer and i opened my bible and i read these words from revelation [Music] chapter 8 look at verse 2. he said this and i saw the seven angels which stood before god and to them were given seven trumpets and another angel came and stood at the altar having a golden sensor and there was given unto him much incense that he should offer it with the prayers of all saints upon the golden altar which is before the throne and the smoke of the incense which came up with the prayers of the saints ascended up before god out of the angel's hand and he and the angel took the censer and filled it with fire of the altar this is in heaven and cast it into the earth and there were voices and thunderings and lightnings and an earthquake now when i was reading this of course you have to understand that in my mind i'm thinking about 1914 world war one because i just had read an article of former cia chief talking about how the the events preceding the war world war one in 1914 are exactly very eerily similar to the events that we have right now in 2014 that's probably gonna lead us to world war three okay very soon not probably it will it's just a matter of when right so i'm thinking about that and then i'm looking at these verses and i'm realizing this it says an earthquake something specific not just any earthquake not earthquakes in general but an earthquake and when
i was sitting there the holy spirit just hit me upside the head because when i saw the term it says the angel took fire from the altar of god in heaven and cast it to the earth i thought that was 1906. that was the azusa street revival and i knew that the san francisco earthquake that shook san francisco and reached all the way to los angeles where the revival happened i knew it also happened in 1906. i said my god lord is this the azusa street revival in the great san francisco earthquake so then i i google the two to find out the dates now this is eerie okay so i go back and i google the dates and of course it comes up and then i have to pull the book off the shelf to confirm it but the the azusa street revival when the baptism of the holy spirit with tongues of fire came back to the church was april the 9th of 1906 and the move of god once started there one one uh lady in it now it was a black lady was baptized in the holy spirit began to speak another tongue she was the first and then they moved they were at that bonnie bray street and many people got filled with the holy spirit what was amazing about the early round think about this in 1906 y'all that the meetings were integrated black and white and even asians and other people i mean it in 1906 and then the man that ended up being the leader of the revival uh brother seymour was a black man and you just amazing the unity within all that racial tension back in those days i mean that you know was god right there right i loved how you know we weren't that far removed from the civil war at this point right and we know there was still a lot of racism and prejudice and and with a lot of things going on and yet god had blacks and whites together and brought one of the greatest revival of the 20th century and then picked a black man who was blind in one eye to lead the revival but you know why because he was humble man and he was a man of prayer powerful just a powerful story but so i look up the date of the azusa street revival april 9th 1906. now here's what's interesting we know what was restored to the church the baptism of the holy spirit came with the gift and the evidence of speaking in other tongues just like on the day of pentecost just like in acts chapter 2 just like in acts chapter 10 at cornelius's house just like in acts chapter 19 at the at ephesus when paul went there the baptism of the holy spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues came to the church
look what it says here it says that when the angel took the fire and we know fire is a symbol of the holy spirit meaning he took the holy spirit and the fire of god and the tongues of fire and he flung it back to the earth it says there were voices if you look that word up in the greek it is the word phone a and it means languages and notice he used plural not voice not just the voice of god he said voices languages he sent to the earth this was cast down to the earth and then i looked up april 9 1906 tongues was poured out the baptism the holy spirit the fire of god was poured out azusa street not even two weeks later nine days later on april 18th of 1906 was when the great san francisco earthquake hit 7.8 it was the largest earthquake in california it was the longest crack and the largest movement of earth one of the largest earthquakes ever the typo that i saw in the article that i saw earlier said that 30 000 were killed but it was 3 000 and i realized they just had another zero in there but it destroyed 80 percent of san francisco the buildings the fires there burned for weeks 300 000 out of the population of 400 and something thousand were homeless and and living in tents this earthquake rocked the the planet and particularly southern california let me read this this is from the usga i mean the the usgs i'm sorry the united states geological survey here's what they say about the great california earthquake the california earthquake of april 18 1906 ranks as one of the most significant earthquakes of all time they go on to say that the rupturing it ruptured the northernmost 296 miles of the san andreas fault um [Music] again one of the largest in history they say that it's it's enabled them to study earthquakes that it was uh just unparalleled the damage it caused uh the equivalent of the damage that caused would be um what did they say about 8 billion in 2009 money that's probably about 10 billion now in 2014 money
right folks hear me god put that in the bible 1906. do you know that there were ministers who came against the azusa street revival because people were speaking in tongues and called it the last vomit of satan upon the earth that was a baptist preacher i wonder what happened to him i don't know serious and watch what you say about what god's doing amen you know they want to act like well there's problems in the charismatic pentecostal church i got news for you babe this method is present problems in your church too so why don't you deal with your problems and we'll deal with ours amen but see no matter the problems you're always going to have problems you get people together you don't have problems right so because we have problems because we have met some messed up people oh we throw out no that's the devil working the devil wants to throw out the baptism the holy spirit and the gifts of the holy spirit god doesn't want to throw it out people get in error they get off they get flaky they get weird they get a counterfeit that's why you should have elders and and pastors and prophets and ministers who have some wisdom and know how to discern it and deal with the problem and you you you shut that that wildfire down you let the real fire keep burning amen folks i believe now you think about this i believe we are in and i believe the lord confirmed this to me we're in the last of the last days god moved in america right before he started the judgments 1906 the revival went to about you know over three and a half years but the movement continued to spread across america i mean the people the people of the brownsville revival the assembly of god denomination the largest pentecostal denomination on the earth all of them trace themselves back to the azusa street revival to the men and women who were filled speaking in tongues moving in the power of god casting out demons flowing in the gifts of the holy spirit two massive denominations were founded sadly racism came back as the as this expanded and as we got segregation again but of course that started changing again a man it's man has evil in its in the in the heart it seems to quench the the holy spirit but i want you to go go with me we're going to look at a familiar passage real quick and and hold your we're going to go back to revelation 19 so you can keep your finger on revelation
but go to um uh first thessalonians chapter 5. you know what i love about the lord is his context of the scriptures certain scriptures we quote certain scriptures sometimes and that's okay sometimes we've got to be careful when we quote or use them out of their context but it's interesting when you put a familiar scripture in its context and you really see what the holy spirit is emphasizing but let's look at this the context of 1 thessalonians chapter 5 is the second coming of jesus the end time because he starts the the chapter off in that section a verse actually we'll look at verse one now this one a lot of people use this out of context to prove that we won't know the times or the seasons but he was telling them that and then he goes into telling this what you look for but he says but of the times and of the seasons brother and you have no need that i write unto you for yourselves know perfectly that the day of the lord so cometh as a thief in the night now a lot of people just take that right there and run with it and think oh we won't know nobody will know we'll never know he didn't stop there he was telling them you won't know he says but look at this for when they shall say he starts giving them signs so that means there would be a people that would look for this but when they shall say peace and safety then sudden destruction cometh upon them is travail upon a woman with child and they shall not escape but you brethren are not in darkness that that day should overtake you as a thief so then he tells christians that they won't overtake you as a thief if you're walking in the light of god's word the truth of god's word and you're listening to the holy spirit you won't be taken it's not supposed to be it's not supposed to sneak up on the children of god the end time the second coming all the stuff that's come hear what i'm saying it's not supposed to sneak up on you like a thief the wicked the sinners those not looking that's who's going to be caught off guard not you shouldn't be anyway right and he says but you brethren verse four not in darkness that they should overtake you as a thief you're all children of the light and the children of the day we are not of the night nor of the darkness therefore let us not sleep as do others so he's telling us again don't be asleep spiritually don't don't be asleep have your eyes closed be unconscious of what's happening and especially this last generation the end generation so you see the context right now let's jump down to verse 12. the context of the chapters end times prophecy end time signs the second coming of jesus verse 12 and i and we beseech you brethren to know them that labor among
you enter over you in the lord and admonish you and to esteem them highly in love for their work's sake and be at peace among yourself so respect and authority in the church elders in the church a lot of people think there's no one's supposed to be over anybody in the in the church world but that's just not the way it is god doesn't have disorder he has an order of authority then he goes on to say now we exhort you brethren warn them that are unruly comfort the feeble minded support the weak be patient toward all men see that none render evil for evil but ever follow that which is good both among yourselves and to all men rejoice ever more pray without ceasing in everything give thanks for this is the will of god in christ jesus concerning you and look at 19 and 20 and 21 quench not the spirit despise not prophesying plural prove all things hold fast to that which is good abstain from all appearance of evil and then he puts it a bookend context on it about the end times when he said in that and the very god of peace sanctify you wholly or completely and i pray god your whole spirit soul and body be preserved blameless into the coming of our lord jesus christ so it within this book in context of end time prophecy and the second coming of jesus he says quench not the spirit despise not prophesying prophesying is is the foretelling of the events before they happen that's the definition of the new testament greek word there foretelling events before they happen or speaking by inspiration of god so he says that there will be people who will foretell events in the last days and there are people who will speak by inspiration of god now i'm going to share this with you why do i don't think i'm the only prophet in america i trust me there are prophets there are prophets men and women there are saints godly sheep in the kingdom who hear his voice and it doesn't necessarily mean you're a prophet because you can prophesy and not be a prophet right just like you can have some money it doesn't mean you're a rich man right but hear what i'm about to tell you because i want to show you some things just to show you this gift is still working in the church because i can tell you personally it's working in my life and i'm going to share and i wrote this article the other day but on december 31st of 2013 i wasn't feeling well but i think the lord allowed that to happen so i would just stay home and pray and sometimes he does that he didn't do it but he just lets it happen so you'll pray
remember all things work together for good to those who love god right so i was at home praying and i was praying i don't know from about 8 o'clock to about midnight and right as as we got toward midnight before midnight 11 11 30 whatever it was the holy spirit came on me and he spoke to me and he said the word unprecedented i heard it is crystal clear as anything he's ever told me he said that is the word for 2014. and the lord just downloaded in me that it would be across the board terrorism warfare environment economy government military everything across the board that there would be unprecedented events and then he even added that there would be unprecedented events even in the church and i believe good and bad remember he told me he said it's across the board and he one of the things he emphasized to me was that there would be some unprecedented moves of his spirit as well to turn people to righteousness to lead people to jesus even some of us would raise the dead in this unprecedented year now folks we're not all the way through we're only in the seventh month now of 2014. and i'll just say this that the holy spirit has come over me and told me son uh you got much more to come this year but it was very powerful it was so powerful that i sat down i typed out what god said and and it was kind of two parts because there were things that he said that i heard his words and there were things he impressed that i perceived that they were about you know paul had this where he heard words but he also said like when he was getting on the ship you know he was being taken to rome he said i perceive that this ship will be with damage and much hurt he didn't know the details of how that was going to map itself out and i will say to anyone who who receives words of prophecy or visions or dreams or impressions be very careful of putting your own interpretation on things just say what god says and share the only the impression he gives you don't add to don't take from that's where we get in trouble okay but he told me this and so of course i began to watch now this was on december 31st i put this on facebook and quickly thereafter wrote an article and nancy and i put it on denotable ministries because i knew whenever god gives these words you need to have proof you put them out there in advance okay well it didn't take long for the first one to happen the first unprecedented now the word unprecedented means what never seen before or very special or very you know
not the norm even in a maybe even a specific time period but it's just not the normal way things are right two days after god spoke that word to me we had what's called the north american cold wave now what's interesting about this they talk about we had a little burst of this cold weather in december of 2013 but there was a significant event on january the second it says on january the second an arctic cold front initially associated with the nor'easter tracked across canada and the united states this caused this it says beginning on january 2nd there was a sudden stratospheric warming that led to a breakdown of the regular polar vortex and subsequent southward movement of the troposphere arctic air now this is what the normal polar vortex looked like and this is what happened on january the second it was a total breakdown of this vortex and a warming of the atmosphere and that's why we got the coldest winter ever in the history of north america in canada the united states and northern mexico in fact they said on january the 7th there were 49 record lows recorded across the united states there had never been any event like this they they talk about how many millions of people it affected how many millions of dollars in damage it did there was power outages for long period of time everybody remember six degrees here right in alabama right but the word what's interesting let me back up here um the word and let me do it this way with the powerpoint here the word that the article uses here temperatures fell to unprecedented levels low temperatures records were broken across the united states so there was your first one all right let's keep going there's that polar vortex breakdown remember the lord told me unprecedented events in the environment here we go right um that one got out of place there here's some more as we go into the year this was in february 10th it says israel experiencing unprecedented drought conditions but not only israel as we move forward right now as of even june 24th but into
the year starting back in march the entire state of california a hundred percent of the state of california is in severe drought and has been four months and and if you notice here you'll see where it really started look here march to june 24th zero precipitation from that time period now why is that significant for north america uh most of our food fresh vegetables and a lot of food comes from california get ready to see food shortages and your food prices going up they've already gone up drastically because of this drought not just in israel in the united states but also here's a tweet from the international water or whatever said unprecedented drought and then unprecedented floods tested australia's water resilience australia is in a terrible terrible drought here's another one of the unprecedented events of 2014 is the ebola outbreak um this is was this article from cnn health was taken april 1 2014 but they used the words ebola toll rises an unprecedented outbreak the latest article says that the ebola outbreak now has killed more uh people than any other it's touched three countries it's in capital cities right now and they're calling for drastic measures to stop this uh i hope no one in this room knows what drastic measures means because it's not good but even the u.n is saying that this could become a global crisis this particular there's different strains of ebola virus this particular one kills 90 percent of people that it infects um thank god for psalm 91 a thousand may fall at your side ten thousand at your right hand will not come nigh you even says protection from plagues can be upon the people of god let's keep going so that was april that was article april 1. i just posted the latest article article where they say it's out of control they cannot control it let's just keep going here of course in the religious world the church world here's an article we had an unprecedented double canonization event with the vatican uh i called it the unprecedented day of idolatry and man worship that took place where they canonized pope john paul ii and john pope john the 23rd in one of the most weird seasons of watching all these people
come to praise men they had relics there to be venerated which is another word for worship of john paul's blood and the dead flesh of john 23rd this creepy mystery babylon of rome really does some creepy stuff she has a cup full of idolatry and boy that day the cup was running over all right but unprecedented again used in are these my words are we not seeing these the i'm putting the news articles up for those of you listening these are the word used in the news articles and there it is again cbs detroit uh unprecedented canonization in the vatican um here's one that's most interesting and i gotta camp on this one here for a second this was posted july the first 2014 cbsnews.com here's what it says big earthquakes double in 2014 just in the first three months meaning the average for the for the year has already doubled in the first three months of 2014. now why is that significant well everybody turn and look at revelation i mean not revelation i'm sorry luke 21 tell me when you get there luke chapter 21 this is jesus is the same thing and this is the luke's account of matthew 24 or they asked jesus what will be the sign of your coming and the end of the world and one of the things that jesus said here very clearly he said well let's just read it verse 8 take heed that you be not deceived for many shall come in my name saying i am christ the time draws near go you not after them but when you shall hear of wars and commotions be not terrified for these things must come to pass but the end is not by and by then said he under the nation shall rise against nation and kingdom against kingdom and great earthquakes shall be in diverse places famines and pestilences or plagues and fearful sights and great signs shall there be from heaven course one of the fearful sites in heaven was the that big meteor over um russia that was in 2013 but i think this tells me there's going to be more of those but what we see they've been been taking the average i don't want to read this which i'm going to have to go out of here but i'll say this they've been taking an average yearly average of earthquakes that are over 7.0 since 1979.
well for a number of years there in 1979 we averaged about 10 major mega quake 7.0 and bigger we measured about 10 per year all right starting in 1992 the average went from 10 per year to 12 per year then in 2000 it jumped to 16 almost 17 on average per year when this says that it's jumped double in 2014 of the average that was in 1979 the average in 1979 was 10 meaning we've had 20 plus 7.00 in the first three months of 2014. can anybody say unprecedented now notice this a lot of people when you i remember you for years you'd read matthew 24 you would read luke 21 people say oh there's always been earthquakes there's always been wars blah blah blah blah jesus the the reason god spoke it is is because he was he's telling us there's going to be something significant about great earthquakes that will give you a sign of my coming into the end of the world folks we've had this increase since 1992 it started moving up and now in 2014 it goes off the charts what does that tell you help you if you're snoozing there what does that tell you folks we have moved into it i could go down a list of unprecedented events since january there's been an unprecedented rash of big high-profile bankers commit suicide some of them i guess they couldn't make it look like suicide so assassins went in and shot them and their whole families it's been over 30 since january we're talking about high profile bankers of jp morgan chase big banks even the ceo of bitcoin was found dead in her singapore apartment you know what that is for anybody it's real simple these are people that either know too much or getting ready to squeal or who are not weren't prepared to go on with the plan because there is
a calculated plan to collapse the world economy to bring about the digital mark of the beast the chip in the hand for buying and selling and i imagine some people's conscience that know about the plan is starting to say you know i don't think this is a good thing don't let that creep out of your mouth if you're already in the illuminati or you've been helping with the plan and you decide you're not going to help anymore no no no whistleblowers here that's why they've been dying it's simple it's not hard to figure out but this has never happened before another unprecedented event when you have 30 plus bankers in a matter of months jumping off buildings but i'll say this i'm sure they were helped off like bill clinton and his thugs used to help people off buildings that were going to squeal on them oh yeah believe me i lived in arkansas when he was governor it's not just hearsay i mean one investigator that was investigating bill back in the day was poisoned with government great anthrax so you know your average joe didn't get his hands on government grade and frank's not back in the 90s right he probably knew about bill's love child or something and got to get rid of you right or in flying drugs into arkansas with his cocaine having his cocaine parties oh yeah right i started talking about that in arkansas you know when i was living there and they were like don't talk about that you end up missing or falling off a big building somewhere so where are we let me go down the list i mean there's many more what's going on in the middle east the rise of persecution you know that persecution has from 2012 that the persecution and martyrdom of christians from 2012 now they say it's doubled persecution has risen beheadings ha and crucifixions of christians have increased dramatically we are we are in no other word describes it than an unprecedented year i'm going to add this the lord told me there's more to come and remember one of the things he told me was there would be unprecedented events in terrorism and then he told me recently on june 11th of this year to watch portland oregon now i don't know what that means i'm not trying to piece these words together but we are going to see a massive attack
on u.s soil again i know from the spirit of god i have seen visions of the east coast and the west coast of the united states i've seen entire cities hit and destroyed i don't know all the details of how that plays out yet god doesn't you know paul put it like this in first corinthians 13 we we know in part and we prophesy in part but why does god give us these prophets why does he say despise not prophesying why does he give us these things they are warnings and they are signs they are warnings that these things are not catching god by surprise there are warnings for people to deal with the sin in their lives and get right with god and be prepared to die if need be don't die not ready to die portland oregon you better listen up jonah walked through nineveh and said 40 days and nineveh will be destroyed you know what the people of nineveh did the only thing that can stop massive judgment from falling upon a city is everyone from the king down to the poorest even the animals fasted and everybody got on their knees and repented and confessed their sins and cried out to god for mercy and god said okay and never got another hundred years but eventually fell back into their wickedness and were destroyed is that going to happen in portland oregon i don't think so but it's not only portland oregon it's mapped out even the prophet henry gruver back in the 80s and 90s said there are cities marked by god for destruction in the us because of their evil and their wickedness and he said god will let people know the righteous ones that are listening which cities to get out of and that he's gathering the wicked into certain cities to destroy them now that offends your theology theology your false theology be offended god almighty is the giver of life and he can give it and he can take it it's his not yours eternity belongs to him you belong to him whether you're saved or not you belong to him he determines how long you live how long you before you die when you die he determines because he'll he's the one that pulls back his hands and allows it to happen people get all bent out of shape why does god allow evil in the world well why are you evil don't worry about why god allows evil why are you evil you change god knows how to deal with evil and he's coming back jesus is coming back to deal with evil once and for all forever anyway so one day god is going to eradicate evil and evil people from
the earth but he's going to do it a little bit at a time and one of the reasons he's doing it a little bit at a time is because he's merciful and he's giving more people time to repent and ask jesus to wash them and to forgive them and to be their lord and savior every every day he holds back yeah he lets you know we see these evil people in iraq and syria and all this stuff doing this stuff yes god could wipe them out in a moment he's trying to give people a chance to repent that's why he holds back his wrath and his judgment his destruction he can wipe him out like he wiped out sodom and gomorrah and that's what i'm telling you folks he's about to wipe out some places and he's just going to pull his hand back and let wicked people be wicked i am you know here's the thing i know it's horrible i've watched the assassinations going on the cruel brutal assassinations of this muslims in in in syria and in uh egypt and i i i watch this stuff and you know what i marvel at is they're not just killing the christians and i've shared this they're killing their own people they're killing muslims are killing muslims because they're not muslim enough i guess right i mean and raping the women their own women muslim raping and killing children it's horrible these people are so demon possessed just they're just beasts they're just animals right and they're killing each other and i just sit back and i just get well maybe this group's been so wicked he raises up a more wicked group to judge that wicked group and he's going to judge that wicked group you know god raised up nebuchadnezzar and allowed him to bring judgment and wrath on the wicked of his people israel that had turned away from him and gone into idolatry but then what did god do with nebuchadnezzar he brought in the persians and destroyed babylon and then when the persians got too wicked after he used that he brought in uh greece alexander the great when alexander the great got a two big first britches then god dropped him dead at about 33 years old and roman empire came in and the roman empire became so wicked started killing christians so then he wiped out the roman empire you're ready america your day's coming every empire goes down because they get arrogant they get prideful they get sinful they get extremely wicked and god finally says i've had enough don't let that be you you know a lot of people say i'm fine you know if god decides he's had enough of alabama and he allows russia or china or somebody to drop some some big bombs on us here's the deal i'm good with that because i know where i'm going i'm fine with that
take me out in the flash in a millisecond i'm fine with that i'll be in heaven with jesus dancing a jig right but from people they're gonna be pretty because they're gonna go from one fire to eternal hellfire because they didn't listen they didn't listen to god god's normal natural law they didn't listen to the bible they didn't listen to any preacher any prophet any christian they didn't listen to the family members who urged them begged and pleaded with them to give up their sin and obey god and let jesus be the lord of their lives for us it's time to get filled with the holy ghost it's time to become bold courageous for god don't worry about what any man thinks or any woman thinks it's time to be bold as lions because listen i believe that the book of daniel teaches very clearly that in the last days god said those who understand will turn many to righteousness think about that those who understand what's he talking about those who understand what god expects those who understands what jesus and the cross and the resurrection is all about those who understand repentance and righteousness and living a holy life those that understand what's going on in these last days the end times and they know where we are in the in the process he says those who understand will turn many to righteousness in daniel chapter 11 and 12. he says those in that time he said the people who know their god will be strong and do exploits for him it's time to rise up get filled up get armed up and get ready to do something for god you not pastor dean you amen so i feel like i hadn't been able to do much it's all right you've been training soon training will be over when training's over and it's time for the real thing you better be sure you're filled with the holy ghost and ready to go amen let's pray the lord thy god be prepared keep your eyes set on me you [Music] and you shall do this you shall be given mercy do not allow the temptations of this world to draw your eyes neither let the things of the world cause you fear for i am with you seek me stand fast in the face of the enemy for i am with you i am alpha and omega nothing can prevail
[Music] amen thank you lord that word keep your eye on him he's our strength i'm going to share this keep you just bite your heads and keep your eyes closed for me i'm gonna share this i i have seen a vision that i am not sharing all the details about but i have seen a vision of god's protection i saw in this vision the hand of god come out of heaven i just his hand and swat down a predator drone out of the sky that was headed toward me i know this is something in the future but folks hear me our god is powerful our god is the creator of heaven and earth the universe and everything therein he is the mighty god of abraham isaac and jacob there is none that can stand against him some he will allow to be martyred some he will allow to be tested but some he's going to deliver because they have a call they have a god has a plan to use them mightily and he will not let the armies of the antichrist the u.n i don't care if the department of homeland security or or an obama drone will not get you if it's not your time and you're walking in the light of god's word and hitting his protection god can slap an f-16 out of the sky remember the soldiers came to get jesus the roman soldiers all jesus said they said he said whom seek ye and they said jesus of nazareth he said i am he the words he spoke said these soldiers went backwards and fell to the ground how many times the crowd went to get jesus and it says he passed through the midst of them folks god is able father in heaven we come to you today and we thank you that we serve the mighty god the king of kings and the lord of lords the one true god of heaven and earth jehovah yahweh jesus christ of nazareth the holy ghost the holy one of israel we are thankful lord that we know the true god the true messiah the true way of life the true way to eternal life the true heaven lord we are thankful today that we can know you and lord i thank you lord i ask you to baptize your church baptize your people baptize your remnant in the holy ghost and fire with tongues and the power of the holy ghost and the gifts of the holy spirit baptize this lord and use us mightily in this last hour and as it gets darker and darker lord that more light more glory more power more of your anointing fill us and flow through us
lord oh god fill us baptize your church baptize this church in fresh holy ghost fire lord stir up the gifts of tongues and interpretation and prophecy and healing and working of miracles and word of knowledge and word of wisdom and discerning of spirits give us power to be witnesses to people around let our words penetrate their heart heal the sick cleanse the leper raise the dead cause the blind to see cause the the wall cause oh god the the amputee to get a new limb show your power jesus in this hour nothing is too hard for you nothing is impossible to you thank you jesus
