About this sermon

In “Sexual Abuse & Deliverance,” Pastor Dean Odle presents a Scripture-centered message about demons and deliverance, Satanic opposition, prayer. Drawing especially from Revelation 12, Luke 18, Luke 4, Matthew 18, the teaching emphasizes that demonic influence must be answered through Christ’s authority and the freedom He provides. Odle connects that foundation with the conviction that Satan’s work is described through deception, accusation, temptation, and opposition to God’s purposes.

and the power of his christ for the accuser of our brethren is cast down which accused them before our god day and night and they overcame him speaking of satan they overcame him by the blood of the lamb by the word of their testimony and they love not their lives even unto the death i mean we we read this a lot of times and i've read it many times over the last uh 26 years of being saved spirit-filled christian called to the ministry i've read this verse many times i've quoted this verse many times the bible is very clear it says they overcame him satan and that we know that from verse nine but they overcame him satan by three things the blood of the lamb the word of their testimony and because they love not their lives even unto the death um in 26 years now almost will be another month 26 years of from the time i rededicated my life to the lord was called to the ministry and god started me on this journey i've shared many aspects of my testimony um almost all of them you heard what i said there there's an aspect of my testimony i've mentioned to a few people but i've never shared publicly from the pulpit to any group of people because it is uh it's been one of the most painful and difficult things in my life to try to deal with and believe it or not after 26 years of walking with the lord understanding deliverance ministry for christians the understanding the healing of the brokenhearted and ministering to administering to i don't even know how many people who have been through all kinds of things from sexual abuse to satanic ritual abuse to coming out of the occult themselves out of satanism out of witchcraft out of the new age movement i've cast demons out of many many many people over the years i can't even i mean it's just all kinds and you would think and you know i think uh when it comes to deliverance ministry that i got a pretty good handle on it um but i've always said and you guys can testify to this i've always said that i'm still learning i'm still learning still growing uh there's many things that happen in this world that i you know i don't understand i don't understand why god waits sometimes i don't understand why you can cry out for healing and deliverance at times and it seems like he's not there he's not listening and sometimes he bears long with us but he does answer those who cry out day and night to him amen y'all know the

parable i'm talking about sometimes he bears long with his children you know the parable jesus told luke 18 the woman saying avenge me of my adversary saying she came to the judge the unjust judge day and night avenge me of my adversary avenge me of my adversary avenge me of my adversary and he would not for a while but he said because of her continual coming the lord that the unjust judge finally gave her her request and and delivered her from her enemy there are things that um things that happen in this world there's a lot of evil going on a lot of deep dark dark evil um i want you to go with me let's just turn to oh goodness oh just go back to luke go back to luke chapter four we're going to go to luke 4 and i think matthew 18 real quick let's just read those i'm going to show you something here because this is kind of difficult for me this morning but the lord wants me to share this so y'all bear with me um luke chapter chapter four and we've read this of course many times here but the the ministry of jesus and the ministry that christians are supposed to have and continue um part of that is deliverance healing the brokenhearted setting at liberty those that are bruised let's read that chapter 4 verse 16 well this verse 14. and jesus returned in the power of the spirit into galilee and there went out of fame of him through all the region round about and he taught in their synagogues being glorified of all and he came to nazareth where he had been brought up and as his custom was he went into the synagogue and on the sabbath day he stood up for to read and it was delivered unto him a book of the prophet isaiah and when he had opened the book he found the place where it was written the spirit of the lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted to preach deliverance to the captives the recovering of sight to the blind to set at liberty them that are bruised to preach the acceptable year of the lord i want you to just underline or look at what he says he came to heal the brokenhearted to preach deliverance to the captives to set at liberty them that are bruised now these words here bruised and broken-hearted literally means people who have been wrecked that's the term if you look up the words and break down all the root words it means those who've been wrecked those who've had their lives shattered by something

now this morning like i said i'm going to share with you part of my testimony i've really never shared before and the reason i had the children leave this morning because it's about sexual abuse of children and particularly not just sexual abuse but satanic ritual abuse and yes i can say this morning that beyond any shadow of a doubt that i went through that when i was a child it wasn't my parents wasn't a family member we made the horrible mistake as a family because none of my family was saved at the time we made the horrible mistake when i was seven and eight years old to move to california right outside the city of san francisco little did my parents know that they moved us right in the middle of one of the biggest satanic hotbeds in the country um i'm not afraid to say or ashamed to say these are not just a repressed memories that came back i remember things specific things there were things that happened even though you know we lived here i lived here in auburn opelika area when uh you know i was born in tulsa oklahoma and then my mom's from here my dad's from california and my dad was stationed at fort benning when he was in the 82nd airborne and during dr he was drafted during vietnam war and so that's how my mom and dad met here and then they got married when they got married my mom got pregnant they moved to tulsa oklahoma i was born this is ironic but i was born in a roman catholic hospital and my mom got sick and i got very sick we both got the flu right after i was born so nuns took care of me for a whole week before they let us leave the hospital uh yeah irony right of course those of you that listen you might not know what i'm talking about but i preach fervently against roman catholicism so it's just funny to me but anyway but we moved back here when i was around six months old because my mom was homesick and didn't really matter that much to my dad so we moved back here and lived here until i was seven years old so i went to kindergarten first and second grade here at lee academy actually back and before it was lee scott um when i say that some things happen here uh just going to warn parents you know you know i'm going to tell you how it happened you may think that the person is an upstanding member of the community and you let your child go spend the night at somebody else's house bad stuff happens okay i'm just gonna leave that one at that but that was the beginning okay
