to the book of judges i know that's odd i rarely preach from the book of judges of course i've alluded to things but the lord is bringing this to my attention and he brought it to my attention last night um let me just see where i want to go first because i don't want to read the whole story this morning that can be for your homework if you want to go back and read the whole story but it's the story of samson in the bible and to me um samson uh samson's story there's a lot of great victories in his life and there's a lot of great defeats and sadness in his life but i think as i was looking at this last night and praying about it this morning i think the lord was just speaking to me speaking to me a word of encouragement prayer for me personally and as well as um i think it's going to be some encouragement for some people that are in the church that have been in the church for and when i say church this morning i mean in a broad in the broad sense because you know what all of us have struggled as christians with our flesh and with sin um you know even though i preach we should live holy lives and obey god and that god's going to hold us accountable i do know very well that christians struggle with the flesh and with temptation and with sin in their lives and some of them make a big mess of it um thank god that there is uh mercy with him and there is patience with him if we go to him and confess our sins he is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness but i guess what i'm feeling today is that really you know i i got into another long debate on facebook this past couple of days uh about the once saved always saved issue and i'm just seeing that there is just a total lack of understanding about sin and about what god is okay with and what he's not okay with and what will separate you from him or what won't separate you from him but it's amazing it just seems like people who really cling to the once saved always saved theology and belief system tend to just make excuses for sin and it it's it's really pretty sickening i mean like this guy even argued well you know teenagers got their hormones raging they can't help but live in the fornication well guess what i don't care whether teenagers have their hormones raging or you know 45 46 year old men it's not the issue you see what i'm saying god wants us to control ourselves we're not animals and he's given us not only a will to be able to do it
but he's given us if we're born again he's given us his holy spirit within us to give us the strength to resist temptation and to live for him now again i'm not saying we will always do that perfectly but as i've said many many times in here that you know sins like that sins like adultery or like fornication or lust or pornography or um lying or you know those sins that the bible specifically spells out that if you practice these sins you will not inherit the kingdom of god now when we say those those sins will they be in the lives of christians sometimes yes but what did the apostle paul say in ephesians 5 he said those sins should not be once named among you now paul knew that there would be some but again this is something that we need to get let it sink down into our spirit the carnal christian will not inherit the kingdom of god and there have been a lot of christians and there are a lot of christians right now who started out right like samson did they started out right they had a call from god on their lives they had the anointing of the holy spirit they had the strength of the holy spirit they had the boldness they were doing what god wanted them to do but they let something get them off base something of the flesh now with samson it's uh the issue with most men and it's not just a man problem but lust lusting after women that he was not supposed to have and that eventually took him down because he would not get control of it and i think sometimes the story of samson and i shared this a little bit last week about the stages of spiritual growth and talked about the corinthian church and how that you know the corinthians the bible said came behind in no gift you remember that they have all the gifts of the spirit that means they spoke in tongues they had interpretation of tongues they prophesied they had the gifts of healing and working of miracles the word of knowledge the word of wisdom the gift of faith they had all the supernatural gifts of the holy spirit working in their church and yet paul said that they were babes and he could not speak unto them as being spiritual and what we fail to realize some is that the gifts and calling of god that god gives us whether it be to be a pastor or to be a teacher or an evangelist or an apostle or an elder or a deacon or a musician in the helps ministry whatever it may be that god gives us gifts and even anoints us to do does not mean that will carry us through that that means we're okay with god if it if that gift is working it's one of the biggest deceptions that we can latch on to in our lives well i felt the
anointing of god to preach and teach he must be okay with me even though i'm secretly struggling with adulterous heart and there are many christians that are not just struggling with it there are many christians that are indulging it they're indulging their lust regularly i mean it's not like they stumbled with pornography one time but it's like every other week or every other month and it keeps on going and it keeps on going and it keeps on going but then maybe they go to a prayer meeting or they go to church and the spirit of god comes on them and they speak in tongues or they give an interpretation of tongues or they prophesy or maybe they witness to somebody at work or or whatever and feel the anointing and go well god must be okay with me and that's one of the greatest deceptions that we can fall into is to think that the gifts and the calling of god mean that we are right with god and that we are strong spiritually boy this is something that needs to sink down this is one of the biggest problems within the charismatic and pentecostal world and it has been for decades and decades and decades because we think that because the gifts are flowing the anointing is falling and maybe even folks are coming to the altar and getting saved do you know that jimmy swaggart was one of the most anointed gifted preachers of the 20th century he led personally led millions of people to the lord i love to listen to him i used to listen to him on sunday mornings before i went to church because i knew that man was going to have a message from god and that man would read the bible through every six months he prayed two to three hours every day he was called as an evangelist he was anointed and powerful i i went to his meetings i was in services of his alive not just watching on tv the anointing of god was there but guess what the anointing of god and the power of god and the gifts of the evangelists that he had were working through him while he's visiting prostitutes now finally he got caught now i know some things about jimmy and i know jimmy had some open doors there were some things sexual things i think some sexual abuse that happened to him when he was young and he never went through deliverance because of his assembly of god background that a christian can't have a demon and that that contributed to the problem but one of the things i believe is that jimmy also had a pride problem and his pride problem was look at how big the ministry is even leonard ravenhill said of jimmy swaggart in 1986 that he was the best of them right before it all came out it was a hard lesson and of course the
world mocked jimmy and i remember my friends coming to me that i had led to the lord baby christians and going well what do you think about this they were awful because they knew i loved jimmy swaggart and i guess they thought that i was going to fall because jimmy fell right and you know what they said when they they all gathered around me what what do you think about this when jimmy got caught you know the first time and i said he's a man i said he puts his pants on one leg at a time just like i do and i said i can fall and you can fall so you better be careful i said did that change the fact that jimmy was an evangelist called by god from birth no did it change the fact that the anointing of god was on him to preach no did it change the fact that the gift of healing worked through his life no he had an issue in his in his life in his secret private life that he hid for years that he thought and listen i want to tell you something there's no doubt in my mind i heard the man share about this many times there's no doubt in my mind that he fought that thing and he wrestled with that thing and he resisted it and he would beat himself up when he would fall and it was something that he struggled with but the bottom line was jimmy never sought help he was too proud or too afraid too worried about losing maybe his ministry or his support or whatever or maybe he just thought well you know i will will this thing out of me i will read the word of god and i will pray it out and i will overcome this by myself sometimes you can overcome it by yourself and listen to me i don't take a thing away from what jimmy did jimmy did a great work for god and you know what i believe that jimmy's going to be on heaven when he when he dies i believe he will i believe he's repented i believe he sought help he you know what the greatest thing that jimmy needed in his life was not another crusade a stadium full of people at that time what jimmy needed was humility i'm broke i need help somebody helped fix me and i think you know he had to learn the hard way he had to go the way of being exposed publicly and ridiculed publicly and for years but that maybe saved his soul from going to hell why because i don't care what gifts you have great evangelists led millions to the lord but these great gifts if he was sleeping with prostitutes habitually according to the bible galatians 5 he will not inherit the kingdom of god so
in god's mercy god will expose god will finally bring the thing down to the ground there's one thing i remember david wilkinson preaching this message he said from from deuteronomy be sure your sins will find you out may take a long time i mean jimmy was in the ministry for 30 something years before but see there's difference though there was a difference back then between jimmy jimmy swaggart and jim baker jim baker didn't have i don't believe jim baker had even a desire had a doctrinal foundation of what it really meant at the time to live holy or to be holy i didn't even think he believed you had to he had homosexuals all working on his staff and stuff compromise now he may have gotten himself right in prison i don't know but my point is god knows the heart right gifts let's read a little bit of it we'll start at chapter 13. i want to read this some of this in the children it says verse 1 and the children of israel did evil again in the sight of the lord and the lord delivered them into the hand of the philistines forty years and that right there just says all you need to know and there was a certain man of zorah of the family of the danites whose name was manoa and his wife was barren and bear not and the angel of the lord appeared unto the woman and said unto her behold now thou art barren embarrass not but thou shalt conceive and bear his son now therefore beware i pray thee and drink not wine nor strong drink nor eat any unclean thing for lo thou shalt conceive and bear a son and no razor shall come upon his head for the child shall be a nazarite unto god from the womb and he shall begin to deliver israel out of the hand of the philistines and then of course it goes on and and she shared this with her husband and the angel appeared again but this thing was that this child was going to be special called from birth how many of you know that the bible says in the book of jeremiah 1 he said he told jeremiah when he was a young man he said before i formed you in the belly before i formed you in the womb i knew you and i ordained you sanctified you and ordained you to be a prophet to the nations many callings of god are before you're even born there are gifts given you and callings giving you before you're ever born before you even get saved god has a purpose and a plan for our lives from the moment we're i mean even before we're a thought
right in anybody's eye except she is so he was going to be a special child and and this nazarite vow this is something you can read in the book of numbers but this nazarite vow was something special that god said this is going to be certain individuals that are even set apart more than others i'm setting them apart and they have to be even more different they had and you know she couldn't drink wine or or or any eat anything unclean or or cut his hair and that was one of the things that was a stipulation for him as well as he grew up he could not eat anything of the vine he could not drink wine or strong drink and he could not shave his hair and you say well that all sounds silly well guess what to god no command of his is silly or to be taken lightly and this is the problem folks within the church and within what i'm going to call the samson church is is that god has given us commands and it doesn't matter whether we understand them or whether we like them or whether they make sense in this world he makes a command we're supposed to trust him as the sovereign lord the creator of heaven and earth and the one who loves us and is looking out for us and knows what will destroy us and what will save us and there is no command it's just like right now the entire church is being corrupted by occult demons and occult techniques because they want to obey one simple command when jesus said don't use vain repetitions in prayer like the heathen do this one command that's being ignored by a lot of good christians are opening them up to demons and preparing them to be deceived and led into the false church of the antichrist one command we ignore and listen to me this is what is so important one compromise one little compromise one little disobedience up it can open a flood gate to other sins and deception in your life this is why it's not so much you guys that that people when we talk about sin or we talk about living holy or we talk about obeying god that we're we're sitting here striving about things it's really about an attitude towards sin do we realize how dangerous and destructive it is how slippery a slope it can be do we look at it how god looks at it i mean do we look at it like it's a rattlesnake or do we look at it like it's a little baby who might get some pee on us see it's a big difference isn't it you'll still hold a baby even though you might get a little throw up on your little pee on you right but you're not gonna hold a rattlesnake in your lap are you unless you want him crazy folks in tennessee right
but my point is what is our attitude and this is something that samson was supposed to have his parents and samson was supposed to have an attitude keep the commands of god if you want the to stay strong in the lord if you want the anointing and power of god to stay strong in you and you don't want to ever fall and become a samson then you got to take god's commands seriously even if they don't make sense listen it doesn't make sense to me why she couldn't eat grapes why she couldn't drink some wine why she couldn't cut his hair does that have anything to do with him having supernatural physical strength and being able to kill a thousand men with with his bare hands or with the jawbone of a donkey no that was god's favor god's blessing god's power on a man to do his will at that time and that that anointing from god and that strength from god was there because they kept the commands his parents kept the commands of god and then he kept the commands of god and they never cut his hair and he never drank wine as far as we know now that was in the beginning right i'm not going to go through the whole story you know the story that of when he uh the lion attacked him and he killed the lion remember that you could read this this is from judges 13 through judges 16 but he killed the lion and it says he went down to the land of the philistines and after many days he came back and he found there was a honey a habeez had made a hive and made honey inside this carcass of this lion and it says he took and he ate that now that was his first step because that was eating something unclean he was eating something from a dead carcass that had been in contact with a dead carcass and for an israelite that was unclean so that was his first compromise right started small didn't it here's what's so shameful is he took that honey and he gave it to his mother and father didn't tell them here's here's another thing we need to understand about this story every sin that we commit affects other people in our lives whether we intend to do it or not huh so he takes that so he starts he starts real small there and i'm not going to go i mean we could go into many things but i want you to go into chapter 15. just go down to the last verse and this is after he had killed the
thousand men with the jawbone of a donkey supernatural strength and god had raised him up to deliver the children of israel from the oppression and the evil philistines and so he was to be a warrior that's why he was to kill those evil men to set them free from the slavery and oppression of the of the philistines and he started to do that he never really finished he never really succeeded but that was the reason he was born and that was the call in his life and that was why the anointing of supernatural strength was on him verse 20 he says he judged israel in the days of the philistines 20 years so he became a leader he was a judge 20 years goes by so maybe we don't know what it all happened in those 20 years but maybe he had been faithful for a while see this is what's scary you can do good for a while can i just say this it's not how you start always it's how you finish right samson started out good he judged israel for 20 years maybe he got tired maybe he got lazy maybe you know from losing his first wife and some of those troubles that happened to him maybe he had some wounds in his heart who knows maybe he just got bored and had a lust issue i don't know but chapter 16 verse 1 it says then went samson to gaza and saw there a harlot and went in under her harlot means a prostitute and it was told the gazidis saying samson has come here and they compassed him in and laid weight for him all night in the gate of the city and were quiet all night saying in the morning when it is day we shall kill him and sampson laid till midnight and arose at midnight and took the doors of the gate of the city and the two posts and went away with them bar and all and put them upon his shoulders and carried them up to the top of the hill that is before hebron now here's where it gets scary here's the the anointed man of god with the spirit of god on him judges israel for 20 years finally decides to go in and spend the night with a harlot okay but gets up the next morning and the gifts and the power of god still work in his life right after he crawled out of bed with a prostitute quite scary in it and maybe that's what made matters worse for samson because it got worse from there he goes from that harlot he goes from that in verse 4 it says it came to pass afterward that he loved a woman in the
valley of sorek whose name was delilah and let's just put it plain he said he loved a woman he lusted after a woman a philistine woman named delilah now guess this the scripture said that the israelites were not supposed to be with foreign women right so disobeying god there as well but still the anointing the strength from god the power of god still worked in his life let's keep going says he loved this woman and went into this woman delilah and the lords of the philistines came up to her and said unto her entice him and see wherein his great strength lies by what means we may prevail against him that we might bind him to afflict him and we will give the every one of us eleven hundred pieces of silver plus one was about to get rich and delilah said to samson tell me i pray thee wherein thy great straight lieth and wherewith thou mightest be bound to afflict thee and samson said unto her if they bind me with seven green with that were never dried then i shall be weak and be as another man then the lords of the philistines brought up to her seven green whis which had not been dried and she bound him with them now there were men lying in weight abiding in her chamber and she said unto him the philistines be upon these samson and he broke the whis and he says as a thread of toe is broken when it touches the fire so his strength was not known and delilah said unto samson behold you have mocked me and told me lies now tell me i pray thee wherewith thou mightest be bound and she stays after him and here's what's so interesting why does samson stay with her knowing she is pressuring him and even setting him up and yet he stays now this shows the progression of lust and justification that will go on in a person's life if they don't deal with sin and compromise and disobedience early they will finally find something that they like a whole lot more than god's commands and god's presence and god's ways and god's will for their life they'll find some woman they'll find some man they'll find some website they'll find some bottle they'll find some pill they'll find something that they start liking more and even though here's what's so bad even though they know that this thing is going to take them down or trying to take them down and destroy them they keep playing with it
i don't understand but see here's what's here's what most of the church world has done why they are samsons in the lap of delilah most of the church world has said it doesn't matter if i stay in delilah's lap it doesn't matter if i keep looking at the websites it doesn't matter if i keep sleeping with my boyfriend or girl it doesn't matter if i keep taking the pills once in a while it doesn't matter if i smoke the joint one i'm once saved always saved i'm eternally secure no matter how i live i'm okay god's okay he understands as a matter of fact i still feel the anointing and presence of god when i worship in church i still speak in tongues i still prophesy i still feel the power got matter of fact i led somebody to the lord the other day they're being cemented into their own deception by their disobedience and god has yet to remove himself from the situation see and they think because the gifts still work god must be okay with me being in the lap of this delilah even though she's trying to get me right i don't know how many people listen to me there's a lot of men and a lot of women in the workplace married men married women in the workplace that maybe you know maybe things aren't as good as at home as they ought to be and another woman say starts flirting with a man or a man starts flirting with a woman they're married and you know deep down they hadn't been getting attention and the attention's nice and they don't realize that it should cut it off right there they feel that flirty lustful thing starting to stir and come at them from this person but it just becomes a game we're just playing a game and you know that's what samson was doing he's just playing with her oh by me with green widths blind me with the widths and i'll be weak as another man huh playing a little game just all fun and games but there's something that happens especially if you start sleeping with somebody as samson did with delilah they start getting more and more influenced more and more control and what happened she kept pushing him and kept pushing him and kept pushing him and look at verse 16. he says and it came to pass when she pressed him daily
with her words and urged him so that his soul was vexed unto death that he told her all his heart and said unto her there hath not come a razor upon my head for i have been a nazarite unto god from my mother's womb and if i be shaven then my strength will go from me and i shall be weak and be like another man he finally told her the secret of his strength and what was that that i am sanctified and set apart by god and this is the sign that i am supposed to this is the thing i'm supposed to obey remember adam and eve had one command one command don't eat of this tree right here just one thing i love how these once saved always say grace freaks start talking about oh salvation is not my works i said since when is it a work not to do something said you sound like obama and democrats if god says don't eat of the tree not eating of the tree you could just be sitting on your couch not eating you're not working for it just supposed to keep it right one command i never understood how not doing something is works i don't get that but not committing adultery that's a work not committing fornication that's a work not lying that's a work no you're not supposed to do it right that's why the bible calls it works of the flesh because once you start doing it you are working except you're just working to go to hell so he tells her all this hard look at verse 18 he says when delilah saw that he had told her all his heart she sent and called the lords of the philistines come up this once for he just showed me all his heart and then the lords of the philistine came up unto her and brought money in their hand and she made him sleep upon her knees and she called for a man and she caused him to shave off the seven locks of his head and she began to afflict him now she started to afflict him he listen the thing you sin with the thing you compromise with the thing you give into that god said not to give into you it will start afflicting you and it'll start before the full force of satan comes you hear me and look what it says in verse 20 and she said the philistines be upon me samson and he awoke out of his sleep and said i will go out as at other times before and shake myself and he wished not that the lord was departed from him now i gotta stop right there for a second because listen to me ma this is what's so sad to me this is the saddest part of the story he told her all his heart he told her the secret that he was supposed to keep this command of god to keep his anointing and
his strength he tells her but then he gets up she shaved his head she starts afflicting him he gets up and says i'm going to go out like at other times i believe what's so sad about this story is he quit even believing the word of god that the promise of god gave him and folks this is where this stuff leads sin compromise disobedience will always end up you not believing the scriptures trying to justify them explain them away or twist them to make them fit your crooked messed up life it always leads to this did he believe that if his hair was shaved he would lost his strength why did he say i'm gonna get up and didn't know the lord he should have known see god's word let me tell you something god's word will never fail not one jot or one tittle will in no wise pass till all is fulfilled this is one of the little foxes says in song of solomon about the little foxes spoil the vines or is it in ecclesiastes one of those the little foxes he said but the philistines look at verse 21 took him listen here put out his eyes and brought him down to gaza bound him with fetters of brass and he did grind in the prison house look at the progression first thing they took him and they put out his eyes that speaks of your spiritual vision your discernment your ability to see and understand is put out first see then you don't even know where it's coming from you don't know who's who who's what and then the devil takes you it says the second thing he said it took him to bound him on fetters and chains that's the bondage right there and look at this you're put in the prison house to grind grain that means you're just going to walk around in circles now think about this what kind of miserable existence blind bound with chains and walking around in circles then that describes some folks that that we know that won't turn loose for that meth they could have turned loose of it a long time ago now they're blind bound and in the prison house won't listen now here's here's the good part here's the good part of this story says he was there he must have been there for a while because his hair started growing back
[Laughter] right takes a while for hair to grow start getting long again [Laughter] yeah i don't know either all right it takes a while to let it get down there start hanging again but it says then the lords of the philistines gathered together for to offer a great sacrifice unto dagon their god or the devil to rejoice for they said our god has delivered samson our enemy into our hands and this is what's so sad folks a lot of great men and women of god have been taken down not by satan but by their own sin and compromise but yet the devil gets to brag that he did it the enemies around you will mock and brag that they brought you down their god brought you down nobody brought jimmy swagger down jimmy swaggart brought himself down huh let's read it and when the people saw him they praised their god for they said our god hath delivered into our hands our enemy and the destroyer of our country which slew many of us and it came to pass it says um and it came to pass when their hearts were merry that they said call for samson that we may that he may make a sport they called for samson out of prison of the prison house and he made them sport and they set him between the pillars and samson said to the lad that held him by the hand suffered me that i may feel the pillars whereupon the house standed that i may lean upon them now the house was full of men and women and all the lords of the philistines were there and there were upon the roof about three thousand men and women and be and that be held while samson made sport and here we go and samson called unto the lord and said o lord god remember me i pray thee and strengthen me i pray thee only this once oh god that i may be at once avenged of the philistines from my two eyes and samson took hold of the two middle pillars upon which the house stood and upon which it was born up of the one with his right hand and the other with his left and samson said let me die with the philistines and he bowed himself with all his might and the house fell upon the lords and upon all the people that sat there in so the dead which he slew at his death were more than they which he slew in his life then his brethren and all the house of his father came down and took him and they brought him up and buried him between zorah and eshkatol in the burial place of manoa his father and he had judged israel 20 years here's the thing and here's here's what i'm hoping for and here's the good news of this story there have been some people in the church christians
who have royally screwed up they have fallen into sexual sin into immorality and to compromise they've had their eyes put out they're bound by demons they are in a prison house they still may be going to church every sunday but here's the good news and y'all listen to me close i'm going to close with this i want you to listen close i believe in the days ahead that we're going to see many of these start getting their hair back and see samson it wasn't just about getting his hair back because what did he do he turned to god and was willing not only not only to pray and say god strengthened me one more time but it was the reason why and the reason was he got back to what god had called him to do and that was to to destroy and kill those evil philistines to deliver his people he got back to what god originally called him to do he he was willing and this is what's so beautiful willing to lay down his life again to do the call of god willing to die willing to give up his life to see god's mission for his life fulfilled and i believe there's going to be a lot of people in this last hour at the last minute at the last time they're going to finally say god i'm sick of laying in delilah's lap i'm sick of being blind i'm sick of being bound i'm sick of being being in the prison house lord strengthen me one more time send somebody to help me i want to get back to what i'm called to do i'm like with you i'm willing to lay down my life it'll be no more about me it's going to be about you and doing what you want i will die to myself i will give up my life and listen some of that is not about physical death but i believe in the days ahead there's going to be choices made to stand up and preach and tell the truth knowing that you will die because of it but there's some decisions that have to be made now and see the problem within the christian church world is that instead of selling out early and giving everything to god and being willing to do god's will and being willing to stay away from delilah's lap they they can't they can't leave delilah alone and they never finished the will of god see i'm going to tell you he didn't finish destroying them until that last act matter of fact they said that in that in in the commentaries they say in that act he killed more of the philistines and all of their leaders
and embarrassed their god dagon in front of all of their people and did more to devastate and destroy the evil wicked people the philistines than anything he'd done before but he had had 20 plus years to do that a man with that kind of strength with that kind of anointing he should have been doing what god wanted him to do the whole time and you know i'll share this for some of you know i mean i'm i can say i'm not laying in delilah's lap but i have prayed and said lord i'm not what i was when i was a young man i'm not what i was in prayer i'm not what i was in fasting part of it's just physical energy and strength i know that but i said i'm not i'm not what i was and i was i was really praying about that last night i said lord i want to be i want to be i want to have that strength that i had in my early years again and i opened i just opened to this you know because i let what happened to me almost destroy me i let it years ago and i just realized the lord was encouraging me well son your hair's growing back figuratively babe your hair is growing back and you're going to do those things again amen and i think the lord was telling me you're going to do more in the last hour than you did in your younger days because everything didn't work back then amen and that's the hope any good news that we can screw it up but get back where we need to get back before it's too late let's pray hallelujah thank you jesus praise you mighty god lord i thank you for the bible it is so alive and so powerful and can speak to us so many different ways i thank you for the old testament i thank you for the new testament i thank you for your holy spirit who guides us through it all and teaches it lord i pray let it be so lord i feel a prophetic anointing a prophetic a prophetic unction on this lord that you're going to enable us like
samson to do more at the end than we did at the beginning if we will cry out to you if we'll separate ourselves and we'll be willing to lay down our lives and crucify the flesh father i pray in the name of jesus enable us to crucify the flesh and to give up our lives to die daily to take up our cross and to be the christians to be the men and women of god that you ordained us to be before we were even born father i pray that today in jesus name amen and let me say this this morning never ever never ever if you're struggling with something keep struggling alone you need to find somebody that loves you somebody that loves you and somebody that can help you and tell them what you're struggling with this is a principle that is missed that's why the deliverance teaching of this church is so important in the confession of to somebody else of stuff you've opened the doors to it's been such a blessing to people for many many years because it's a principle god never ever ever intended us to try to do it all on our own amen matter of fact i want to read one more passage yeah i just the lord will not turn me loose from it galatians chapter five i'm gonna read something from galatians five and six but just this is just a misconcept in the body of christ but verse 19 i alluded to this earlier but he says now the works of the flesh are manifest which are these adultery fornication uncleanness lasciviousness idolatry witchcraft hatred variants emulations wrath strife seditions heresies endings murders drunkenness revelings and such like of the which i tell you before as i've also told you in times past that they which do such things or practice habitually such things shall not inherit the kingdom of god but the fruit of the spirit is love joy peace long-suffering gentleness goodness faith meekness temperance which is self-control i don't understand why these grace
people think controlling yourself is bad it says it here's the fruit of the spirit to control yourself right he said against such there is no law now look at verse 24 and they that are christ have crucified the flesh with the affections and lust crucified that's a brutal thing that's a grabbing that thing pinning that thing down and nailing it to a cross you hear me listen if it's pornography it's time to nail it to a cross if it's fornication or lusting after other men of the women it's time to nail it to the cross and there's something that paul said and this is in first corinthians 15 but he made this statement he said i die daily what was he saying i have the flesh just like you have the flesh the flesh rises up and wants to sin it wants the works of the flesh but i'm not going to let it paul said in first corinthians 9 i keep my body and bring it under subjection lest by any means when i have preached to others i myself should be a castaway or reprobate paul was saying he explained in romans 7 in romans 8 he explained it in many places that he still wrestled with the sins of the flesh but that he died daily meaning he crucified them he won that fight against them every day and see this is where us and the once saved always saved crowd differs we believe you're supposed to crucify the the affections and lust of the flesh and they believe that they're okay that god understands why they indulge them but then he carries on and he says if we live in the spirit let us also walk in the spirit let us not be desirous of vainglory provoking one another envying one another and this is the important thing is what i'm talking about about getting help and being helpful to others and having humility brethren if a man be overtaken in a fault ye which are spiritual restore such a one in the spirit of meekness considering yourself lest you also be tempted and bear ye one another's burdens and so fulfill the law of christ for if a man think himself to be something when he is nothing he deceives himself nobody's beyond needing help and you know what i'm going to say this and you this is this is very important in times when you have it together be careful not to get a little too prideful at somebody else that may not have it quite together then
because the moment you get prideful and judgmental and and overly religious that pride's gonna you you will be tempted with the same thing or something similar right and tempted means it's gonna really pull at you right so i'm gonna finish on that see you know this guy said you know well i hate to be like y'all walking around worried about the next sin that's going to take you down i'm like that ain't i don't walk around worried about it i don't think the next time i trip up or sin that i'm gone but i know one thing i know not to play with it i know not to bring it home and treat it like a little baby not to treat that rattlesnake like a little baby and sleep with it and and wallow around on it and you see what i'm saying i know the difference how to treat sin no got to get that thing out got to kill it i had a dream another night about a coral snake i was thinking about which bullet to use on it yeah anyway father thank you again i praise you and i thank you lord for your word let it god speak to our hearts and change our lives and set us free and lord god help us take these scriptures and these truths and these principles help us to take these to other people as well and lord god help the samson church lord arise and wake up and pray that prayer god and that hair and glory glo grow back again and that strength come back again and that anointing come back again as we step back into the truth and back into the the destiny and the calling and the original plan that god had for each of us father i pray that many sampsons out there will wake up and arise in this last hour and be true to god's word and true to god's calling and true to god's commandments and true to righteousness and faith and the and the gospel of jesus christ lord i believe many sampsons are going to come back in jesus name amen amen hallelujah
