[Music] place free [Music] Jesus [Music] there is [Music] Freedom tonight [Music] there is freedoms oh there is [Music] Lord we thank you there's freedom Lord by the power of the Holy Spirit by the name of Jesus Christ by the precious blood you shed Lord there is freedom there's Deliverance there's healing there's Authority and power over all the power of the enemy to bind to rebuke to resist the devil in Jesus name and he must flee from us now we are Overcomers by the blood of the lamb and the word of Our Testimony because we love not our lives even unto the death Jesus you are everything you are everything to us and your word is the truth Lord your word your holy scriptures Lord from Genesis to Revelation Lord this is the truth and we thank you that the truth you said was set us free Lord I pray today that you just move in this place Lord I sense you here Holy Spirit and I ask you to have your way in
this place today in Jesus name and everybody say Amen amen you may be seated this morning Hallelujah Hallelujah all right well I don't even know what to call this this morning but I want you to take your Bibles out I want you to first turn to second Corinthians chapter 11. you know last week really talked about your thought life and controlling your thoughts bringing every thought captive The Obedience of Christ not letting Satan Rule and Reign and just have his way in your mind and your thought life because thoughts once thoughts are accepted they may be coming from outside sources but once thoughts are accepted into the brain wrong thoughts from the Devil and they're accepted and meditated upon and just let to stay there and revolve around and around and around they'll eventually drop down into your heart and then the Bible says you know Jesus spoke about this from the abundance of the heart the mouth will speak and what you let get down into your heart into your spirit you will eventually say or act upon you will do and this is why it's very very important to control your thought life and you have to do it through God remember we went through that scripture last week second Corinthians chapter 10 3-6 there you have to do it through God through the name of Jesus Through The Power of Jesus if you don't you're not going to be able to control your mind and I did quote this passage a little bit of it last week and we're going to start here but we're kind of going in a totally different direction because I want to talk about a move of God talk about Revival this morning what it is and what it isn't because there's a lot of things going on that's not really Revival it's being called Revival okay I'm gonna be honest with you and I'm just going to say this there's a big news in town of the revival going on in Auburn University okay now let me just tell you getting a big group of people together is not a Revival okay um I'm starting to look into one of the speakers and I'm very troubled I'm just going to tell you that right now who spoke at the thing and it's leading back to all the same characters that I have run into in the past all right now let me just say this though somebody can get saved just about anywhere I told the story of the person that I I knew about that you know got arrested one night for being drunk in public right you know Ron White talked about getting arrested being drunk in public well this guy was drunk he got thrown in the drunk tank well he just happened to be a backsliding Christian who was out drinking and got thrown in the drunk tank and while he's there with all the other
drunks in the drunk tank he starts preaching the Gospel of Jesus Christ to them and look out now somebody got saved in the drunk tank okay now God can do anything he wants and he can move through anybody he wants in any place and any time even if they're not right with him this is again something that's hard for us to understand sometimes but just because somebody might get saved in a situation does not mean the whole situation is good or safe for that matter okay um and let's just read this I want to read this and then we're going to go to uh you know get ready to go to Isaiah 59 but I guess I I ought to turn there that would help matters all right this is second Corinthians 11 we're going to read through verse one through four here now remember the Apostle Paul was a Fearless man he was a bold man he was a Holy Ghost Field man he was ridiculed and hated in in the church and outside the church now you think about that even the first century Church there were Christians in the church that didn't like Paul they thought he was rude they thought he was too harsh they thought you know he even accused him at times of not being an apostle but he says this to this to the Corinthians and they had all kind of problems they had idolatry in the church fornication they had all kind of sin going on they loved to speak in tongues they loved the gifts of the holy spirit but they didn't like the Holiness of the Holy Spirit and that's why there was problems serious problems in Corinth and Paul was trying to correct them and get them out of it but he said this to him he said would to God you could bear with me a little in my Folly and indeed bear with bear with me for I am jealous over you with a Godly jealousy for I have espoused you to one husband that I may present you as a chaste virgin to Christ so Paul says that my job is to make sure you stay pure I'm gonna say this pure in your moral life pure in your doctrinal beliefs because that's a job of an apostle the fivefold minister is to make sure you stay pure both morally and doctrinally that's their primary purpose it's not miracles Miracles are great I'm all for miracles I've seen God do great Miracles but how many of you know there can be Miracles and no repentance I'll show you that in a minute Matthew chapter 11. you know Matthew chapter Jesus got angry with several cities he said because he and them he had done most of his wonderful works and yet they had not repented and he was upset about it now I want to see more miracles I've seen Miracles everything from the deaf hearing the blind seed the dead raised the crippled walking I've seen all those things I saw the dead raised in a situation and the people family that the dead rays were dead did not repent so I'm going to tell you right now the answer is not Miracles though God does Miracles and he wants to do them to show his power his resurrection power the
resurrection power of Jesus to confirm the message but I'm going to tell you right now that just because Miracles are happening or there's a big crowd that's not a Revival and it's not necessarily even a move of the Holy Spirit though God sometimes will get somebody saved in that situation it's kind of like the people who managed to get saved in the Catholic church in spite of all the false Doctrine and idolatry and pedophilia that runs rampant in the Catholic Church behind in spite of all that there will be people who come and find Jesus in the midst of that it's it that to me is a miracle of God right well Paul says look my job is to bring sent you a chaste virgin to Christ but I fear somebody say fear did you ever see Paul saying he feared anything he didn't fear persecution he didn't fear getting beaten by rods he didn't fear being whipped he didn't fear losing his life he was stoned one time to death I believe in the disciples raised him up from the dead Paul didn't fear anything he wasn't afraid to speak about Jesus to Caesar and all of Caesar's household while he was in prison and they could have had his head taken off at any moment he didn't fear death he didn't fear persecution but he did fear this one thing he said I fear lest by any means as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety so your mind should be corrupted from the Simplicity that is in Christ now some translations say that that there he said I fear that your minds may be corrupted from single-hearted single-minded Devotion to Jesus Christ see and what he's telling you is that that's what the devil's after to lure you away from Jesus anything to lure you away from Jesus because he is the one true God the only true God who died for your sins and rose from the dead he is the only one that paid the price in blood to wash sins away not any other gods out there Little G's only Jesus he is the creator he is God Almighty In the Flesh he's the only one who lived a sinless life and he died on the cross and shed his blood to give an atonement to give the possibility a forgiveness of your sins and eternal life he's the only one and if you walk away from him then the devil has you you have been deceived you have been misled you have been deceived down a road of darkness and let me tell you once you walk away from Jesus Christ who is the light there is nothing else but Darkness depression heaviness demonic manipulation of your mind and this is what Paul's talking about I he said I'm fear lest by any means as the serpent beguiled Eve through his suddenly so
your mind he's after your mind may be corrupted turned away from your simple devotion to Jesus and let me just say this your Devotion to Jesus Christ has to be according to the scriptures there's a lot of people out there that call on the name of Jesus but they don't call upon the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth the god of the Bible they have their own version of Jesus Christ and you're going to see Paul warns about this that there would be people come who would preach another Jesus Deepak Chopra out there you know the new age or Hindu Buddhist whatever he is I don't know what he is but he says we're on our third Jesus no we're not there is one Jesus Christ of Nazareth one Creator one God you hear me one true God who died for the sins of mankind rose from the dead and gave us the holy scriptures that prove who he is by prophecy and every other way archeology and manuscript evidence there is no other book like this book no other book that can prove can prove it no other religious leader except for Jesus Christ had a book written about him thousands of years before he showed up about specific details of where he would be born and how he would die and what he would do in his life there's no other religious leader or little G God that has this kind of backup so let me just go on and tell you there is only one way one truth one everlasting life in his name is Jesus Christ you hear me and he says but I Fearless by any means as the serpent beguiled Eve through his subtlety so your mind should be corrupted from the Simplicity that is in Christ for if he that cometh preacheth another Jesus whom we have not preached or if ye receive another Spirit which you have not received or another gospel which you have not accepted you might well bear with him so he's warning them that there will be those who come and preach another Jesus a different Jesus they will present to you or move in a different Spirit not the Holy Spirit and they would preach another gospel that means another means or way to be saved kind of like how about this one just believe in Jesus and you're saved it doesn't matter whether you repent of your sins we have another gospel it's called once saved always saved no matter how you live that permeates the church world the gospel that that leaves out repentance from sin is another gospel it's a false gospel and it's preached in almost every Church in America
just believe just say this little prayer right here sign the card you're in make sure you pay your tithes and you'll go to heaven and then they'll say oh you're in man and there's nothing you can ever do to lose it how do we don't care if you backslide and become a drunkard beat your wife kill your children in abortion become a homosexual a transgender you're a Christian you're a Christian once and forever isn't it amazing like God's Gonna force you to go to heaven even though you don't like anything about him it's another gospel it's a false gospel and it always has been so think about that another Jesus another gospel another Spirit now let me show you this about the Holy Spirit okay let's go to well first of all I said Isaiah we'll go to let's go to Isaiah first and then we'll get back to the Holy Spirit because the move a move of the holy spirit is going to resemble who he is and what he does amen but there's counterfeits out there oh they're counterfeits Isaiah 59 . now I'm going to read a few things here let's read Isaiah 59 we're going to start at verse 4 I'm going to read a few parts of this chapter you can go back and read it all for yourself later he says here behold the Lord's hand is not shortened that it cannot save neither his ear heavy that it cannot hear but your iniquities have separated between you and your God and your sins have hid his face from you that he will not hear for your hands are defiled with blood in your fingers with iniquity your lips have spoken lies your tongue hath muttered perverseness none calleth for justice nor any pleadeth for truth they trust in vanity and speak lies they conceive mischief and bring forth iniquity now remember that the prophet as Isaiah here was raised up by God anointed by God to speak this word to the children of God he's not talking to any of the heathens he's not talking to the Gentile Nations he's talking to the Jews who should know the word of God and be walking in the truth and he says the problem as the problem always is is sin sin brings the separation between you and God and he tells him he says None is calling for justice or pleading for the truth
nobody wants the truth Isaiah says over in Isaiah 30 he said they say don't don't speak to us right things speak to us smooth things cause the Holy One to cease from before us we don't want to know about this holy God who wants Holiness in his people don't don't talk to us profit about our sins and make us uncomfortable talk to us about smooth things well guess what folks America and the West they're loaded with preachers who are going to give you smooth things nice things every Sunday morning they're never going to talk about your fornication or your adultery or your drunkenness they're never even going to tell you the truth about suicide that it leads you to hell you don't go to heaven if you commit suicide sorry you don't they're not gonna right now they're gonna they're all you know one of the lines we know is the ones that are okay that say homosexuality you want to be homosexual transgender that's okay God understands he loves you anyway now listen God loves everybody but he doesn't want you to stay the same he wants you to repent and follow Jesus and you're not a homosexual and a Christian at the same time sorry no no no different than you say well I'm a drug dealer or I'm a drug user a drug addict or I'm a habitual drunkard and oh but I'm a Christian too this is what we live in in America and sadly many people are never going to hear the truth and they're going to go to church every Sunday and they're going to they're going to die in their sins and wake up in hell for all eternity separated from God and see I want to tell you he talks about them having blood on their hands I'm not gonna have blood on my hands you know why he said that people have blood on their hands like prophets and and the children of Israel he said because you don't you don't tell people the truth see the truth it's not comfortable most of the time because we all have sinned and come short of the glory of God and we all live in this flesh suit that wants to sin all the time so we have to bring it in check and if we get lazy or we don't want to bring it in check and control the flesh it's a fruit of the spirit by the way it's called self-control if we don't want to do that then we will be deceived then we will be led astray we will be led into what what I call the habitual sin and the Holy Spirit part of his job is
he comes to convict us of sin now think about this if there is a move of God in the land somewhere if it's a Revival if it's a holy ghost Revival and I love them I've been in some real ones but if it's a holy ghost Revival I can tell you right now there will be heavy conviction of sin in the in the camp that means if you're a Christian Living in these sins unto death that some of them I just listed you will be miserable being in that until you repent and you will either repent of your sin and get right with God or you will run out the door and never come back y'all want Revival that's Revival everything else is just a Pentecostal pep rally to me if I don't see people crying and groaning and moaning over their sin it's not a Revival see that's why I knew the Brownsville Revival was the real thing now it got off in the in in at the end too and I'll tell you why in a minute but I was there in the beginning week after week I mean I would go week after week and and in the beginning and I've shared this they would have the pastors if you're a pastor and of course I knew one of my friends was on staff at Brownsville he was the children's Pastor van Lane I knew him before he ever ever went to become a youth pastor I mean the children's Pastor down there and they would give me a badge and when they would give the altar call let me tell I'd be this most of the time I sat down in the front because I had to be at the altar to counsel people when they gave the altar call but I was there when people people would run to the altar when Steve would preach Steve Hill would preach a message of true repentance from sin and that Jesus was the only way to be forgiven of your sins and he was faithful to preach that every service night after night for five years I couldn't believe he kept finding different ways to preach the same message that's what an evangelist does though they'll they'll they'll start anywhere in the Bible and end up preaching repent of your sins and accept Jesus as your lord and savior follow him and Steve would preach and give that altar call and people would be crying their eyes out over their sins and they'd be down at that Altar and I'm talking about I'm not talking about just a little tear running down their face I'm talking about ugly crying snot and everything flowing and you just have to wait sometimes you just have to wait until they got done and say do you need me to pray with you what do you need I need to give my life to Jesus tonight thank you see now I'm not gonna say I don't know what's going on in Auburn they say they say 100 people or more got baptized the other night well okay Hallelujah but I hope there was more than baptism I don't know I'm gonna I'm gonna find out there's a lot of folks who think getting
baptized saves you let me tell you right now getting baptized does not save you you must be born again through faith in Jesus Christ it is a supernatural experience when you surrender your your your life completely to him not only do you decide I'm going to quit living a sinful lifestyle but I'm going to do what you want Jesus I give you my life from this point on then you get baptized you understand you're born again first you're baptized second baptism is really just a an open testimony to say what has already happened see because some people say oh well I think you know the Bible says you got to be baptized in water to be saved let me tell you what what are you baptized in before you ever hit the the baptismal pool when Jesus was hanging on that cross for our sins not only did he shed his blood to deal with our sins but it says when they when they came up and pierced his sight out of his side flowed blood and water and the thief on the cross there was saved that day without being dunked in a pool somewhere by some minister he was saved that day because of his faith in Jesus Christ his sorrow and repentance over his sins that I deserve this because I've lived a horrible Wicked life he admitted I'm a wicked Sinner and I deserve this crucifixion I deserve death but Jesus will you have mercy on me and that he said today what words today you will be with me in Paradise he never saw the baptismal pool so stop with his foolishness you must be born again and being born again is through faith in Jesus and faith without works is dead so when you say I believe Jesus that Jesus died for me and rose again and I'm going to repent of my sin and give Jesus my life it means you go all the way with it or else you're a liar and the action of faith in this situation is you say I repent and I turn from my sin meaning if I'm committing adultery I stop committing adultery if I'm a fornicator or a pornography addicted person I stop doing that if I'm a drunkard or just a weekend drunkard every weekend I stop doing that if I'm constantly getting high with marijuana and it comes in different forms now you don't have to smoke it but if I'm constantly getting high you're not being sober you understand what I'm saying you repent the repentance and some people say now you're preaching Works how is stopping being and I've said it
many times if I'm an adulterer and I'm hooking up with a honey and I've got to keep two phones and keep secrets from My Wife and run around all that do all this stuff to keep to to women and I quit doing that how is that at work get into work if I quit going to the liquor store to buy the liquor guess what I quit doing something I'm not doing something how can quitting doing something be a work you see how twisted the world oh you're talking about work salvation if you dare preach repentance no remember remember Adam and Eve their order was to not do something don't eat of that tree right there so if they just sat down and left it alone ain't been all right but they had to work getting up and walking over to the tree and picking the fruit off and eating it that's working good sin is work that's why he calls it the works of the Flesh in Galatians 5. it is work and your payment for that work is demons death destruction and hell the wages of sin remember then the Bible talk about the wages of sin is death death is not ceasing to exist it is moving into a place where you are separated from God for eternity that's death you never cease to exist you know the once you were conceived in the womb I mean the moment that you know what happened and they've even found out that the moment that happens there's a spark of light that happens and from that moment you are a human being you are a spirit soul and body and you will live forever somewhere you're an eternal being and you will live forever in heaven and in the kingdom of God with the Lord Jesus Christ because you've believed in him and walked with him and obeyed him and been faithful to him even unto death or you will end up in hell for all eternity this is what the Bible teaches and I'll tell you something else that's Revival preaching right there because if they don't talk about hell and they don't talk about Sin and they don't talk about repentance that's not a Revival you hear me you're just getting churched I talked about that last week Lord you don't want to just be churched especially in the churches today because they just try to teach you how to deal with stress at work foreign they'll know that half their Deacon boards in adultery and let them stay on
and once they start inviting other ministers to speak that believe in all kind of nonsense like homosexuality is okay and they're into all kind of contemplative mysticism once they do that it's not a Revival it's a counterfeit I'm gonna show you something else here look at this I'm gonna show you this verse we're still in Isaiah 59. I want to tell you I sensed the anointing of God on this oh oh gosh where do I want to start verse 10. it's interesting because he again this is the people of God this is the people under the Covenant and we grope for the wall like the Blind and we grope as if we had no eyes we stumble at Noonday as in the night we are in desolate places as dead men or like dead men we roar all like bears and mourn soar like doves we look for judgment but there is none and for salvation but it is far from us for our transgressions are multiplied before thee and our sins testify against us for our transgressions are with us and as for our iniquities we know them in transgressing that means openly rebelling against the Commandments of the Lord lying against the Lord and departing away from our God speaking oppression and Revolt conceiving and uttering from the heart words of falsehood and judgment is turned away backwards Justice standeth afar off for truth is fallen in the street and Equity cannot enter now listen to verse 15. yea truth faileth and he that departeth from Evil maketh himself a prey and the Lord saw it and it displeased him that there was no judgment or discernment he says here even those who depart from Evil are making themselves to pray why there will be people here's the thing if somebody got saved in Auburn the other night and I hope they did if somebody Found Jesus truly found Jesus convicted of their sins repented Jesus be Lord of my life and then said hey I want to be baptized in water and they baptized I'm all for that but what's sad is if they keep hanging out with that group it looks like it they're going to end up in these churches that are going to tell them oh hey you're once they've always saved now no matter how you live or Worse let's start visualizing Jesus in heaven let's start using these uh repetitive prayers and stuff let's let's let's start operating let's let's let's go to the third heaven whenever we want to you know we can just meditate and visualize it and make it happen and fly up there anytime we get ready we can astral project out of our body anytime we get ready
it's called contemplative mysticism y'all that's what the whole I wrote the whole book God had me write about the polluted Church from Rome to Kansas City because it is from Rome to Kansas City to Auburn Alabama I could go on and on y'all y'all just don't even know I'm gonna tell you right now most of you don't have no comprehension of how bad the Pentecostal charismatic prayer movement prophetic movement has been infiltrated by occult mysticism and this comes from somebody who believes in all the gifts of the Holy Spirit and the supernatural tongues and interpretation of tongues and prophecy and visions and dreams that are from God and miracles that are from God but I'm going to tell you right now the counterfeit in all of those areas has infiltrated the church I wouldn't set foot in 99 of the charismatic and Pentecostal churches in America right now and I am a charismatic Pentecost I wouldn't let those people lay hands on me for a million dollars you understand I hope you do folks Everything That Glitters Is Not Gold everything that claims itself to be Christianity is not everything that they claim oh is the spirit of God it's Revival no it's not necessarily you know we went to Asbury to check it out and the moment I walked in there I was like well this is a great that these kids want to get together and worship God that's great but this ain't a Revival and that was evident within days again it was good maybe somebody got saved because of they went there and somebody talked to him about Jesus but there was no Revival preaching you didn't hear any sound Doctrine going forth but hey a bunch of kids want to get together and worship Jesus hey I'm all for it but don't call it a Revival because Revival is going to have certain fruit to it y'all all for quiet out there you go block a bunch of lutherans this morning y'all hear me listen I've I've been in the real thing and I've been in the counterfeit y'all had a counterfeit the counterfeit will have all the music and the jumping and the singing and the clapping it'll have some preaching oh yeah there'll be some tears some crocodile tears I've been in the Pentecostal paper analy show that's why I'm not impressed
that's why you don't get an altar call here an emotional hype every Sunday morning I don't do that if the spirit of God moves and wants us to do something different we do it if he doesn't you don't force it because the moment you start trying to force something or make something happen that the Lord's not doing then you've just created a counterfeit I mean I wish the glory of God swept in and put all of you on the floor and we're crying and weeping and repenting and praying for the loss I've been in meetings like that where the Holy Spirit came in the room and everybody just melted into the floor and they were weeping and crying and they were weeping and crying over people going to hell that's a move of the Holy Spirit when he puts in you how he feels about those who are still lost and deceived and resisting and rebelling and on their way to an eternity in Hell the Holy Spirit Grieves over that he Mourns over that he weeps over that it's not just about oh do you there's a bunch of preachers out there thinking because they they got uh you know a million dollars in the last last offering that that means that God is moving in their midst oh it doesn't mean it y'all hear me the counterfeit the counterfeits everywhere let me let me read something to you the one of the greatest before we turn to our next practice one of the greatest revivalists in American history was Charles G Finney in fact you know they called Smith Wigglesworth the Apostle of faith and he was if you don't know who Smith Wigglesworth was you look him up one of the Great Men of God in the past died in 1947 I think an Englishman that well Jesus walked in faith somebody asked him said Smith how long do you pray every day he said I never prayed longer in 30 minutes they thought what he said but I don't go 30 minutes without praying oh all right at one point he stopped reading everything else he wouldn't read a newspaper magazine nothing else he only read the Bible he was always reading the Bible he was so filled with the Holy Spirit he got baptized in the Holy Spirit the evidence of speaking of the tongues and it turned him into a mighty evangelist if the Lord he'd be on a train and if the Lord told him to stand up and speak to preach the gospel to everybody on that train he'd stand up and preach it and that's why when he would he would Minister to people he would cast out demons heal the sick great miracles happen and in San Francisco the healing Revival that he had the the building could not contain the people that were sick and needing prayer and they laid them in the Streets of San Francisco and when Smith walked by his shadow healed them just like Peter that's why he was
called the Apostle of Faith he was a man of God but I'm going to tell you what I'd call Charles D Finney I'd call him the Apostle of Revival everywhere he went Revival happened he understood it he understood every spiritual principle every aspect of it all the all the Practical applications of what you can do and can't do what will stop a Revival what will hinder it I mean just to give you an example 1831 Charles G Finney goes to Rochester New York for a week of meetings but he was always ready to stay and the Holy Spirit fell on the whole town but let me tell you what happened he ended up staying there preaching for six months and 100 000 people were born again repented of their sins and gave Jesus their life they say to this day you can go to Rochester and they still talk about it think about that 1831 no radio no TV no social media yet somehow God moved and think about the building they were meeting in could not contain all the people they were getting saved and Charles Finney says this let me read this you want to know about Revival he defines it this is in Revival lectures chapter three or no chapter two what a Revival is that's right he says a Revival always includes conviction of sin on the part of the church backslidden professors cannot wake up and begin right away in the service of God without deep searchings of Heart The Fountains of sin need to be broken up in a true Revival Christians are always brought under such conviction they see their sins in such a light that they often find it impossible to maintain their hope of acceptance with God it does not always go to that extent but there are always in a genuine Revival deep convictions of sin and often cases of abandoning all hope see Finney would go into these towns in America and they had been the people had been trained by these Calvinists these calvinist churches Baptist Churches Presbyterian churches and they've been trained you accept Jesus you're good and then these people start struggling and start falling away drifting away backsliding getting into sin never getting totally free from living in sin but their pastors would come and reassure them no Grace covers you you're good you're in God's grace as if Grace is some mystical blanket that just hides everything and Finney would have to come in there and Finney would send to usually he would send two guys and they would pray in 24-hour shifts until they felt a breakthrough in the
spirit Realm then they'd call Finney saying it's time for the meetings now and he would go and start preaching but see he knew exactly what to preach God would give him what to preach but it always dealt with directly with sin and the human responsibility that each of us have to repent of our sin and because he knew what to do he didn't play around Finney knew exactly if you want a Revival if you want Soul saved if you want Christian backsliders brought back here's what you do it's not hard here's what you preach here's how you preach he said and every time he said it's it's like he said I'll tell you this he told he said this in Revival lectures he said a Revival is no more a miracle than a crop of grain he said if you plow the ground properly prepare the ground properly put your seed in the ground properly and then pray for the blessing of God that's a Revival meaning that there is human responsibility in Revival to do things right you can't just say oh I'm gonna throw this seed out here and just hope I get I hope I get a crop of corn you might get one or two but you're not going to get a crop you understand this is modern Christianity just slings it out there or we're just going to sit around how about this you do nothing this is what the Presbyterians would do you do nothing you just sit in your home and you're in your lazy boy and if God wants us to have a crop of grain we'll have a crop of grain that's that's Calvinism but that's a lot of Christians mentality oh if God wants a Revival he'll just do it oh yeah it's he he comes in he manifests himself but let me let me show y'all something y'all know that that God can come and manifest himself and people walk away because because there's a free will and human responsibility to respond to what he does think about how many people heard Jesus speak how many people saw his miracles and never followed him came to a meeting or two and walked away can you imagine in in on Judgment Day the Lord going Lord what's wrong with you you saw me raise that little girl from the dead he saw the crowd you saw the resurrection power and you walked away went home and continued your life as normal somebody say Amen or old me let me show you something that's really devastating let's go to First Kings chapter 19. I'll show you this is this is even this is some of that scary stuff if what I'm preaching is not scary enough look God called me to scare the hell out of people
I don't care if you like it you don't like it that's what he called me to do all right and I'll give you the verse for it let's put this up real quick Jude 23 22-23 on some have compassion making a difference somehow some people I just love you and hug on you and some of you I'm just gonna beat you with the sword until you get it some have compassion making a difference others save with fear pulling them out of the fire hating the Garment even spotted by the flesh see I hate I hate sin and preach against it because I know what it will do to you I know what the flesh nature will do to you if you let it that's why I talk about it that's why I teach about it that's why I explain it to you that's why I talk about my own personal struggles and how we have to fight and we have to stand against the the old their own flesh nature that just wants to sin but through God somebody say through God through Jesus I can keep my flesh under control that's what Paul did now First Kings everybody ought to know this remember the story of Elisha and after he had confronted now you won't talk about a Revival for a second they had a Revival I mean they had a Holy Ghost Revival Elijah confronts all the prophets of Baal all the prophets that claim they were speaking for the Lord too they were speaking for the Lord and for Baal mixture he said I'll tell you what the god that answers by fire we'll build an altar here you build an altar and The God Who Answers by fire that's God he said he said how you know Israel why are you between two decisions here why are you lukewarm why one minute you're talking about serving the lord and next minute you're you're bowing to to bail let's let's get this thing straight so he's dealing with the sin of idolatry and he said you know what the god that answers by fire so we know the story oh the priests the Baal they cut themselves they cried all day they were bleeding everywhere no fire from heaven and that's the representation of the holy ghost moving and the Holy Ghost finally Elijah gets up there and why and you know they've been three and a half years in famine so their water was scarce and Elijah gets to bring me water no bring more bring more he's dumping water on the sacrifice he even built a trench around it filled that trench with water and Elijah calls upon God and the fire comes down burns up the sacrifice and licks up every drop of water and the people fall on their faces y'all forget the prophet then killed all the false prophets
but we'll move on from that y'all y'all can't handle that American Church what did he do yeah healed them all why because it was a serious crime to lead people astray now God may not kill you false prophet right now but eternity is not going to be good for you now this is we're going to go on down here you know and of course Jezebel loses her mind and she threatens Elijah and he runs and we're going to deal with this afterwards but we'll go to verse 9. so uh Elijah runs out into the wilderness and it says that he came there unto a cave and lodged there and behold the word of the Lord came unto him this is I'm sorry First Kings 19 verse 9. if you're not there and the word of the Lord came into there and said to him what doest thou hear Elijah and he said I'd have been very jealous for the Lord God of hosts for the children of Israel have forsaken thy Covenant thrown down thy altar slain thy prophets with the sword and I even I am left I only am left and they seek my life to take it away and he said go forth and stand upon the mount before the Lord and behold the Lord passed by and a great and strong wind rent the mountains and broken pieces the Rocks before the Lord but the Lord was not in the wind whoa what we'll keep going and after the wind an earthquake but the Lord was not in the earthquake and after the earthquake of fire but the Lord was not in the fire and after the fire a still small voice and it was so when Elijah heard it the still Small Voice he wrapped his face in his mantle and went out and stood in the entering of the cave and the Lord spoke to him again and the Lord began to correct him and give him New Direction now let me break this down for you I the Holy Spirit brought this to me this morning and this is what's scary okay you'll think oh there's nothing scary in this right here oh yes there is the Lord brought A Mighty Wind so strong that it broke in pieces rocks someone said the Lord did it but he wasn't in it oh let me give you an example the Lord made a promise to Israel he said I'm going to bring you in the promised land but remember there was so much Rebellion there was so much sin Idol just so many problems so much complaining and murmuring and everything else the children of Israel the Lord finally tells Moses guess what you guys can go in the promised land I'm going to give it to you I'm gonna give you what I promised you
but I'm not going with you y'all hear me God can give you a Revival not be in it God can give you the the numbers the big the big buildings the people all the hype a few people might even get saved that's from him he did it but he ain't in it y'all understand what I'm trying to say to you see I don't want the Revival the heat in I don't want the hoopla I don't want the hype I don't want the big buildings and the big numbers I all that's great I mean I'm not it's nothing bad if God does it but I don't want it if the glory of God the presence of God is not fully in it fully manifest you see what's interesting I'll give you an example number of years ago well I'll go back even further 1999. I had a friend that worked at Charisma magazine he good friend of mine and he wanted me to come down to Orlando to go to their big conference and they were having a number I mean uh big speakers were there I mean you know I met all these people Carlos anacondia called a fruit Zone that led the Argentine Revival um all just all kind of and then there was this guy named Mike Bickel there IHOP Kansas City International House of Prayer got sued for using that by the way they settled out of court for something but Mike Bickel was there talking about starting his 24-hour Prayer Ministry 24 hours seven days a week worship and prayer in Kansas City now I didn't really know who he was back then but I remember I had I had said in the conference those days and I'm sitting there listening to these different speakers and especially the guys from Argentina that had been in Revival for 15 years and the real thing and you could feel the anointing and the presence of God the glory of God upon them I remember when Bickel got up there I felt nothing as I even said in my heart I said who is this guy because there's no anointing in what he's saying yet it should be because 24 hours a day prayer and worship is a good thing that'd be awesome right so but I'm sitting there going again you hear good things but if there's no anointing if there's no manifestation of God's presence upon it you get you better beware because it's going to be you're going to be you might be going into the promised land without him and so I remember that's 1999 I kind of just dismissed that and went on my way I mean I like I have no dealings with this individual so I just move on so fast forward 10 years exactly 10 years Nancy and I are married in 2008 2009 we
move here we have friends in Montgomery Alabama you know I went to a church there in Montgomery Alabama where Troy and D went for a while and I go there because they're having uh one thing IHOP conference there so what Nancy and I went with the best of attitudes because like okay so here's this Mike Bickel 24 hour seven day a week prayer thing let's go let's go and I sat there again the entire day in the front row or up near the front we're in the first and second row I can't remember on the front row because they had a guy that was part of their Ministry that had prophesied over me one time and I remember once I got there and it had been several years and he had prophesied and he had nailed it but he acted strange and I was like what is what is going on it was just a strange Spirit there and we sat there all day and there was not a there was not a drop of the anointing of the Holy Spirit now see I can't how do I put it I can't make you understand this unless you have come to a place in your life when you recognize when the anointing of the holy spirit's moving and when he's not I just if you haven't you need to grow to this all right but I remember sitting there going there's no anointing on this but it should be this is a truth this is something we need and I remember when we left saying this to Nancy and she was like yeah I didn't there was nothing there it took me another year or so when I started really digging into to find out why because I found out Mike Bickel teaches contemplative mysticism and pushes Roman Catholic Mystics like Teresa of Avila and Saint Bernard of clairvaux and he pushes that visualization and Mantra type prayer well he'll say Jesus over and over again for hours until he has an experience that's the same as Hindu and Buddhist Meditation that's satanic demonic okay and that's why God again is why God had me write the book The polluted church I will call your name out if you're teaching false Doctrine or leading people into occult mysticism I don't care if you put Christian names on it okay and again are there a lot of good people that go and become part of Mike Bickel's Prayer Ministry with a sincere heart a lot especially a lot of young people that go there with the right heart they want to pray they want to worship God they want to do God's will yes it's full of good people that's and that's what's sad because if they end up following his teachings to the fullest they will end up in some very serious error and they will end up completely deceived with another Jesus and another Holy Spirit and another gospel and I've seen it I've seen it happen I've seen it happen with people who go to IHOP with Mike Bickel and I've seen it happen people go
to Bethel I've seen it happen in multiple especially people that go to Rick joyner's place the prophet Rick Joyner in North Carolina say Pastor Dean you shouldn't call people's name Bill sorry Apostle Paul did harmonious phileidus Alexander the copper Smith he named names he didn't just say oh it's just somebody over there that's not warning you and again it's nothing personal with like for instance Mike Bickel there's nothing personal I don't hate him I don't want him destroyed I'm just telling you that he's been deceived or he knows what he's doing I don't know which one he even said that you know he was a Roman Catholic he even said told Roman Catholics I have the quote from him he told the Roman Catholic Church he was being interviewed by a Roman Catholic newspaper he said I never really left the Roman Catholic Church well then you're either an idiot or you're a deceiver one of the two because if you're a Christian and you can't see the idolatry of Rome praying to Mary and bowing the statues and everything else that's going on there if you can't see that's wrong then you don't need to be my leader so you're either completely deceived and I don't need to follow you or you're doing it on purpose so only two conclusions you can come to about these folks there can be and I'll say this boldly there can be no compromise with Roman Catholicism in the Protestant church do you understand me none zero Jesus said come out of her my people come out not cozy up too Kenneth Copeland that's another snake we'll deal with him later but just the fact he's trying to join the charismatic church back up with the Roman Catholic Church that's it that's all you need to know I mean really folks it's not rocket science here if they're leading you to idolatry if they're leading you to sexual immorality if they're leading you to the nonsense of the heliocentric lie if they're leading you to lies to deception things that are not Bible then guess what they're leading you astray in the name of Christianity Jesus said didn't he say it put it my uh Matthew 24 he said in my name take he did no man deceive you for many shall come in my name and deceive many oh y'all there's so many that use the name of Jesus but it's easy to start figuring them out because usually they don't want to offend anybody they want to build a big crowd they want to build a big you know social media following so they're not going to say things that are uncomfortable for them they're not certainly not going to talk about Sin repentance not talk about Christians being lukewarm of being spit out of his mouth or falling away and going to hell it's certain look I remember years ago
when the the Lakeland Revival happened and I say that with big quotation marks see I'd never heard of Todd Bentley didn't know who he was some Canadian guy they're weird anyway but anyway I'm just kidding there's some great we got some Great Canadian Christians up there but this guy this you know they say a and things right I wish I could have heard Faith arguing with the Canadian one time with the word again Faith ago it's again she go no it's a game and you go it's again and they just went back and forth but I've never heard of this guy and you know and look I'm open if God starts moving I don't care where what what church or denomination it's in if the holy spirit's really moving I'm all for it but I'm also paying attention I'm not just going to be Duke and go oh it's a Revival [Music] let me jump in there and get hands laid all over my head no I even walked in the Brownsville Revival the first time I said Lord show me if it's you I want to know if it's not I'm walking out the door and I sit down in the Pew after being in the line for two or three hours and I sat down the people before the service ever starting the Holy Spirit came all over me and he said it's me I'm here and boy was he ever but I remember turning on the Lakeland Revival and I remember Roy Fields be leading worship and now I know Roy Roy and I used we spend hours on the phone talking and he's leading worship oh so anointed and then this guy gets up and starts preaching and I'm like what is wrong something is not right because the anointing was on Roy but not on this guy and then I remember I listened to what he preached and it was nothing about repentance from sin or dealing with sin and you want to know why because while he's preaching this revival he's cheating on his wife with his secretary and let me tell you while he's cheating on his wife with his secretary all the prophets come in Bill Johnson Rick Joyner um all of them all the big dogs come in and pull Todd Bentley up there lay hands on him and say this is the next Apostle of Revival this is the next move of God right here and the guy not one of them were a true prophet not one of them discerned he was in adultery with his secretary Paul Kane Bob Jones the whole crew of the charismatic false deceived prophetic movement and I remember when I saw them on the stage I said oh God here we go the same Usual Suspects the same problem children who have demons who are going to transfer demons to everybody in the house it was ten thousand seat tent
people flocking there from all over the country and all over the world and then all of a sudden after that hole he's the next revivalist he's the next great miracle move of God he's this he's that over Todd Bentley about a week or two later it all comes out then he divorces his partially crippled wife and marries the secretary and the guy's been caught in every type of perversion that there is now do I hate Todd Bentley or I want Todd Bentley to go to hell no I hope Todd Bentley gets set free but Todd Bentley's problem was I believe he truly got saved when he was younger but then he got hooked up with the prophet Bob Jones and Paul Kane and Patricia King and all these people I talk about them and I list in my book I don't just say their name I go through exactly what they teach the Demonic occult crap that they teach as the Holy Spirit moving and it has nothing to do with the holy spirit it's demonic and again this is coming from somebody who believes in the real gifts and supernatural of God's holy spirit through the name of Jesus I believe it all so I'm not coming from this from a place where I say oh the gifts are not for today and there's no more miracles today and God didn't speak to anybody today and there's no such thing as dreams or Vision I believe God does I'm just not going to sit there and drink a glass full of counterfeit poison polluted crap when there's a pure sitting there next to it but see let me tell you what this poison glass of the counterfeit it's covered up with flowers and looks like you're in a in the Bahamas getting you a a pina colada it looks wonderful right smells like the beach with umbrella on it exactly and most people go oh that's the pretty one let me take that she's got pink hair let me let me drink that Kat Kerr by the way let's see I'm sick and tired of watching the true Protestant Holy Ghost Field Church get contaminated get infiltrated that's not Revival but you'll see this this is one of those scary things when he says God was not in the Wind here's one for you he wasn't in the fire he wasn't in the earthquake he did it but he's not in it that means this is scary God can let something happen a movement or something and people get saved in it some people actually might get saved in
it but he's not really there and you have to have discernment you can say I hear it all the time well people got saved so it had to be God really the donkey started talking too was the donkey a prophet probably more accurate than Balaam at the time but you get what I'm saying the drunk tank just because somebody got saved in the drunk tank from another drunk talking about Jesus doesn't not mean that they're all right with God and ready to go it doesn't mean we should have drunk tank Church let's all get drunk and have a drunk tank we'll go win that's how we'll win souls no foreign God did something but he's not in there you know what I'm saying I want a move of God where he's not just doing something but he's fully in it and it takes discernment to know the difference and you know I'll say this too what blows my mind I got people turning turn against me left and right but I want to tell you they they it will be hard for them this is what's so wild it will be hard for them to find somebody that preaches the gospel of Jesus Christ in the Bible as directly and clearly as I do I hear this all the time I'm not just bragging I'm not trying to brag I'm just saying I I believe I'm being faithful to preach the word of God and particularly the Gospel of Jesus Christ's repentance from sin holy life obedience being filled with the Holy Spirit obeying the holy spirit in your life trying to keep folks free from demons and doctrinally sound and I got people that turn against that I'm like go find it go find it better then you know wag your mouth good luck because it's a Minefield out there I know and I I'm not I'm not ashamed of as Paul said Paul even called it my gospel I love that Paul said my my gospel he wouldn't say it he came up with it a lot of people say see look at him he's just so arrogant well Paul was saying he was so died to himself and identified with the Gospel of Jesus Christ the Lord didn't even mind him calling it my God because Paul had already died long before they took his head off he was walking with Jesus and he was going to tell the church the truth no matter what they hated him or not even even the fact he told he told the Corinthians he said you know the more abundantly I love you the less I Be Loved you think that's because he was telling
them all they were sweet and going to heaven no matter how they live no because he was calling out their sin and when he started calling out their sin and telling them they had to repent they started saying well you know what Paul's not even really an apostle he's like what's wrong with you folks if I'm not an apostle to anybody else I am do you have started this whole thing here your church wouldn't even exist if I hadn't started God told Paul to stay in in Corinth for a year and six months and he made sure he didn't take any money from him and worked as a Tent Maker because he didn't want to he knew that there were a bunch of greedy Little Devils and they didn't want to give money to him to support his ministry so he said you know what I'll just work and still be here to establish this church and then they had the audacity to say Paul is not an apostle Paul see you want to talk about demons getting in your head and in your thoughts I mean people denying Paul's an apostle of the very church he started isn't that crazy folks the only thing is crazy I've Seen Crazy we got folks that left here went to the Highlands the local mega church you say old Pastor dang don't don't start saying stuff like that I'm sorry but I listened to their sermons from time to time I tune in I ain't heard anything yet that would get that would get a horse fly saved are there's good some good people in that church yes of course there are there some small groups that you'll probably get something out of because there's true Christians in there absolutely is that church leading with the true Gospel of Jesus Christ and true repentance happening do they talk about Sin do they talk about hell do they talk about any any type of real revive no they don't but now if you want to go there and be around a bunch of people and get coffee and donuts every morning and make sure you leave feeling good you got the smooth things if that's what you want they got two campuses here they got them all over the state find one hey Pastor Dean you're terrible but again I think it's a place where God does something but he's not in it see the holy spirit's only going to honor what's truly him and what I say is if if Jesus said well let's go let's do this we it's it's only 15 after 12. so I can't quit yet thank you bucko bucko's here everybody get back over here [Applause] [Laughter] but John
John chapter 16. I love this if it's the holy spirit this is going to be happening y'all don't mind if we do this real quick do you I know I say it sometimes but I think you need to see it so John 16 let's go down to verse so seven I guess here this is when Jesus is talking about he's going to go away but he's going to send a comforter the Holy Spirit to the church he says nevertheless I tell you the truth it is expedient for you that I go away and if I go not away the comforter will not come unto you but if I depart I will send him unto you and when he has come he will reprove this means the rebuke correct show a fault he will reprove the world of sin somebody say sin he will reprove the world of sin and of righteousness and of Judgment of sin because they believe not on me of righteousness because I go to my father and you see me no more of judgment because the prince of this world is judged and then he says I have yet many things to say unto you but you cannot bear them now so he tells us here that the Holy Spirit his work is the first it says to convict to reprove to correct to telephone to make you realize you're wrong all right and a lot of people have a hard time saying I'm wrong [Music] most people don't want that not even Christians most Christians are in the in the would be in the category of a scorner because it says reprove a scorner now hate you boy I've given people some correction they hate me Christians but it's correction they needed they needed to Humble themselves and just receive the word of God and the truth about what was going on in their life and say I need to change I need to grow but the Holy Spirit comes to reprove the world of sin and what is righteousness remember Jesus is our righteousness and he lived a sinless life and that's why he said I the Holy Spirit has to show us what is righteousness because Jesus is not here to see we don't have the example to look at so the Holy Spirit trains us about what is sin what is righteousness and what is judgment to come remember when when Paul preached to Felix he said he reasoned of righteousness Temperance self-control which would include repentance and judgment to come hell Judgment Day the separation who some are going to heaven and some are going to hell that's what Paul preached that made Felix tremble let me tell you you sit there and talk about God loves you and has a wonderful plan that was that was the uh this the the four spiritual laws put out by a campus Crusade for Christ for you God loves you and has a wonderful plan for your life that is true but that's not what a sinner needs to hear a sinner is first got to feel the
conviction the misery the guilt of their sin and realize that they cannot live that life stay in that life and the Holy Spirit comes first to make that real to them and if that hasn't happened in a person's life they just said oh I believe in Jesus but they can never say I came to a point where I realized I was a wretched sinner I deserve judgment I deserve to go to hell I didn't deserve this I was a fornicator I was a drug user I was this I was that Lord forgive me you've got to come to that point at some place or it's not the work of the Holy Spirit see that's one of those things well I called on the name of Jesus oh did you that's one of those things yeah that's of God what is God in it calling on the name of Jesus just the beginning the thing that follows better be repentance of fear of sin you better have felt the getting felt the word repentance at metanoia means to feel compunction compunction is the word it means guilt for things you've done wrong see but but most of the world and most of the Christians go oh no to feel guilt is bad we should never feel guilt we should just always feel joy and happiness and peace and love you're a hippie then because if you're unsaved or you're a backslidden Christian as Charles Finney said if there's going to be true Revival God moving in your life and bringing you out of that then there's going to be such conviction of sin you're going to feel really miserable until you finally say I surrender Jesus forgive me I'm a sinner or I'm a rebel or I'm a backslider or I'm lukewarm or I'm a fornicator I'm adulterer I don't want to be this way anymore God and see I don't have any problem telling y'all if y'all got a problem with this kind of preaching go to the highlands go to First Baptist don't start trouble here if that's what you want to hear giddy up you aren't going to hear it here not ever you're never going to see me back away from the truth of repentance and sin and Holiness and obedience never and what true Revival is see I've been in the places man I tell you the glory I I have seen the glory cloud the real thing and let me tell you when the real glory Cloud comes in you usually won't be hopping around and dancing you'll usually be on your on your face repenting I remember Pastor John Kilpatrick used to say when Steve Hill was preaching the anointing would be so strong on him and Pastor John would say I know I'm saved and I know my life's right with God but I felt such conviction I'd want to go to the altar every time
[Music] I remember one night I was there it was August of 90 8. I think it was August 9th on somewhere in that time period and I remember the glory of God Steve preached and I remember he preached on the first sermon he had preached at the Revival but he like given an update but he talked about his testimony about how God he was on a on a ferry going across the English Channel and he saw the you know he saw the White Cliffs of Dover and he was he's just you know he's headed to check and see if this revival that was going on there was really legit he's going to check it out he said and and over the intercom of this Heathen boat bagpipes playing Amazing Grace he said in the Holy Spirit just moved on him and said the Lord he just knew Lord You're about to do something in my life and I want to tell you what the glory of God was at Brownsville did you know why it ended when the main Rings it ended as they started letting these fools come into the church and speak that whole Joiner crowd and and you know the the Toronto Revival got completely off base and into the Demonic toward the end because they had Bob Jones and Paul Kane there and so then you had are not coming he was the pastor of the Toronto Vineyard you had him coming you had all this other stuff and so what you had was a contaminated group of people coming and they contaminated the Revival and it ended I I was there to watch it come to a screeching halt I was there the night some of these people were sitting on the front row getting ready to walk up there and I said oh my God it's over and see as preachers or as pastors and leaders of anything you better be careful who you let stand in this thing right here you wanna know why we don't have many guest speakers that's exactly why I have to know you I have to know your your heart I have to know your beliefs I have to know if the anointing of the Holy Ghost is on you you don't just get to to speak here you know why because I don't want anybody spreading that contamination and pollution at demonic contamination pollution and false Doctrine to you because I made the mistake back when I was pastoring the church in Montgomery because I was in my 20s I had to learn the hard way and I took a whole big group of us to a meeting in Montgomery where they had the prophet Bob Jones from Morningstar who had been at IHOP Kansas City who started helped start the whole thing and I just heard oh he's a prophet he's a prophet I'm not against prophets I said well let's go mistake that man laid hands on me and my whole group about 20 of us that went and
transferred demonic spirits of lust and perversion all over us and then I started digging I had to go through Deliverance myself for letting him lay hands on me I had to cast the demons out of all the 20 people that came that were Christians yes Christians can have demons in them and I had to cast them all out they were starting to have all kinds of demonic trouble foreign and close that doorway open through the laying on of hands and then I started digging a little bit into who is this man and then I found out I found out that while he was at IHOP Kansas City when they were starting the whole thing when it was what was it back then uh oh Kansas City fellowship or something like that and Bob Jones was the prophet in the church and he started having women come into his office with just Him and the woman and she had to disrove to get a word from the Lord yeah he finally got found out what they do with those guys though they're so prophetic prayer movement they just slap him on the wrist just hide for a little bit and you can come back that man should have never set foot in another church except to sit in the Pew or sit in the chair and listen but he was they call him the father of the movement you wonder why there's a sexual immorality is rampant within the charismatic Pentecostal prophetic prayer movements that's why because Paul came the prophet Paul Kane that was with William Branham who was another one who had an angel that helped him do healing but it was funny that when if the ever pastors got together when William Brandon would come to town and they would say Lord if it's not you we bind the Angel that's with him in Jesus name and when the Pastors in the town would do that he would get up and say I can't heal anybody and turn around and leave but there were a lot of people back in the 60s and 70s who thought William Branham was of God and he was not at the end he started calling himself The Reincarnation of Elijah the prophet you see a lot of things come in the name of Jesus but they have a different Jesus they have a different spirit and they have a different gospel and there are signs and wonders that happen in those things too people fall in the floor oh yes some people even get healed there's demonic healing y'all so be careful out there you've got to be and that's why I said last week what was the main theme last week not just your thought life but why why what was the main thing I was telling you you've got to be close to Jesus because you spend time in prayer a lot of time in prayer and a lot of time in the word of God so you will be able to control your thoughts and not be
deceived and there are some of you that still need Deliverance the Satan has strongholds in you doesn't mean you're totally controlled but you have strongholds there that if you don't get rid of they're going to rise up and deceive you it's just that simple I've watched it for 36 years you know I I wrote a book let me just tell you all this I started writing a book in 1999 it's been a long time ago it's sitting in I have it in my computer I've wrestled with the the title of it for years and I've wondered why I've written it and probably I need to write just a little bit more and I need to update some stuff because I started writing it in 99 I wrote some in 2004 I wrote a little bit in 2008. wrote a little bit more I mean I'm like Lord and it's about spiritual warfare and deliverance and I'm like the Lord has never moved on me like finish this and release it he's starting to now it's like finish it now and release it I'm like okay so I got to finish this thing so I'm going back and I'm I'm reading this and I'm just like I'm realizing though because I'm reading all these stories that I had written about you know just in my life that was going on at the time I even found a prophecy God gave me in there now think about this I started writing this book in 99 the Lord said the next 10 10 years of your life is gonna you're gonna go through hell he told me that I wrote it in the book I had forgotten about it and I ain't kidding you things did not begin to turn around things went started going south in 1999 and it get worse and worse and worse and worse and didn't really turn around until 2009 when we came here and started this church until I married that beautiful lady back there and she's helped me get things in order I needed a partner I need you to help her I'm one of those men that need a helper she even says I don't know how you lived alone I said I don't either but I survived I guess God helped me oh she is the finder too I know I joke about it the Bible says he that finds a wife finds a good thing and safer from the Lord men we find a wife she finds everything else I can't find stuff now so you get married it's like some blindness comes I can't find stuff sitting right in front of me and she'll walk up that's right here I'm like you're the finder I need to pay our finders fee okay somebody say God is good see I want what God is in not just maybe what he has allowed or maybe touch something but not in it you know I talked about the difference between the anointing and the glory of God years ago it's it's in our audience going all the way back to like 2009 2010 when we started but I talked about how the
anointing of the holy spirit is like the atmosphere uh around him it'd be like somebody putting on cologne and then walking out of the room but you still smell the cologne that's the anointing but the glory is when he's still in the room and when he's in the room and he manifests his glory let me tell you something there's not a lot of joking around that's going on there's not a lot of people going you know thinking oh I can I can still live in my sin and everything's gonna be all right and these these churches are talking about oh the glory came in here and I'm like I see nothing happening I'm like no it didn't no somebody somebody blew their cigarettes into your vents or somebody clicked on a smoke machine behind the scene and they're saying it's the glory I mean a lot of this foolishness happens and though I believe I love being a Pentecostal charismatic in the sense that I am baptized in the Holy Spirit and the gifts of the holy spirit work through my life and I want to see that for everybody that that wants that truly but I'll tell you right now I am ashamed and appalled at what I see in 99 percent of Pentecostal and charismatic churches either they're woefully ignorant or they're just fully filled with contamination demonic contamination and occult mysticism so beware of that Minefield out there you say Pastor Dean I don't Christian can't have an email oh yes I can you open the door don't don't even start it with me Ecclesiastes 10 8. whosoever break at the Hedge serpent will bite him whoso that's not Jose it's whoso that means anybody you break the heads listen I broke the Hedge when Bob Jones came to town and I let him lay hands on me I broke the Hedge and a serpent stuck his fangs in me a demonic Spirit stuck its fangs in me and I had to bind it and cast it out in Jesus name actually multiple demons and more recently I'm just gonna y'all don't mind I'll tell you another little story real quick this might help somebody that's how demons are real and this is how Deliverance is this is how real Deliverance is all right 36 years oh yeah I was talking about my book I didn't get to that I think I'm gonna call it a lifetime of Deliverance because it's a lifetime of this folks think it's just something I started yesterday no no no but for some reason I don't know a few months back and y'all probably still say I'm still not to the weight of the normal weight but you know covid I was 230 pounds before that was probably I started I started had a little bit of this but
still I would I had more muscle and mass and everything else across the board so I weighed 200 about 230 pounds maybe a little over and then I got kovid real bad y'all know I was got real sick and couldn't eat and couldn't breathe and all that stuff and I lost down to 195 so that's 35 pounds right so after I got over covid and started eating again and got my taste back and salt didn't taste like poison um after I got back I gained I started you know and I started working out again getting my strength because I had I was on the campaign Trail so I had to get back just I had to get some strength so I started working out weights again and getting my strength back and I got back up to about 215 so I gained 20 pounds back and that's a good place for me actually I need to be about 215. so all of a sudden for no reason that I could see I wasn't sick boom 15 pounds just fell off of me I'm like what is going on I didn't change anything I was eating or doing or anything like that and then I just started feeling like I was wasting away like I then I started getting a little concerned like well maybe I need to eat more I need to do whatever and I would get on the scale and I was dropping below 200 pounds what's going on and so long story short now this will tell you that I'm somebody that's prayed through I've I've been prayed for through Deliverance I've gone through I've made lists of every doorway I've ever opened in my life I mean I've been I've been through a thorough Deliverance 1989 1991 thorough Deliverance so I have the Lord speak to me while I'm praying in tongues one day the Holy Spirit comes on me speaks to me he says you inherited a wasting Spirit from your mother and I was like my mom I thought my mom got cancer in 1986. Hodgkin's Disease had a tumor in her chest and they had to Cracker sternum cut this massive tumor out of her chest I believe she got from going to psychics and stuff back then because she was not walking with the Lord she's opening the doorways and that's probably where the Spirit came in but of course I led my mom to the Lord in 87 she was she had chemotherapy and radiation in 86 and 87. and the cancer never came back praise the lord we got 25 more years with Mom um but it's like she never could eat right or gain her weight back and I watched my mom who when she was her most beautiful and healthy she was like 130 pounds is what she because she was tall so she needed to be about 130 135 pound woman and that's where she was just you know she was beautiful she didn't look like a skeleton well I just watched her after that even though the cancer never came back she looked like a skeleton she and she she dwindled down especially over the latter years I bet when she died she might have weighed 80 pounds
and she died at 65 years old and when the Lord spoke this to me this I was like I never had thought about it as a generational curse that I inherited from her of this wasting spirit that it was a demon that was just trying to destroy her I always thought it was the long-term effects of chemotherapy and radiation but it was not and so here's how you know so I said in the name of Jesus I'm laying in bed the Lord's telling me this I'm like this one morning I wake up early and I just lay there and pray a lot of times all right or I'm up through the night and I just pray about things and I'm laying there praying and I said all right Lord I break this generational curse from my mom in Jesus name this wasting spirit I break it off of me in Jesus name I plead the blood of Jesus over me and I said I break it off and I bind this wasting spirit in Jesus name and I command it to go from me now who the moment I did that I felt it from here come up into my chest come up through my throat and leave and when it left I had a coughing fit to the point I almost coughed up a lung I was coughing so hard that I felt like I was going to throw up and I was not sick or nauseated or anything and the moment that thing left who did I feel better it's like I because for a while I've been feeling like I was just like my health something was trying to destroy my health and kill me it was weird I couldn't put my finger on it why do I feel so horrible why do I feel like I'm wasting away why do I feel like I'm dying why do I feel like something's trying to kill me but I'm praying I'm resisting the devil I'm you know I'm not sick because I've had after covid we had to have blood test and x-rays and all this stuff and the doctor took real good care of us making sure we got got back healthy and man I felt so much better so don't even try to tell me that a Christian might not need Deliverance in an area or two because I needed it I feel I'm going to tell you right now I feel a hundred percent better like just and here's what's Wild my wife said one night she didn't even tell me about this until I told her about this wasting Spirit she said one night a few months ago she was worried about me she gets worried about me she don't say anything she was trained well not to speak negative things and so she said one night you came to bed and she said I looked up at you and I saw like y'all know the the Terminator skeleton robots you know when they're FL when they don't have the Flesh on them she said your face looked like that and the left side of my face she said was completely like caved out like you look like a skeleton like death she said I just saw this Flash and she said I wasn't about to say anything because I'm like I ain't speaking this that Devil's trying to scare me I'm not saying anything
but she saw that demon that had a stronghold in my life and I wish he'd told me but I told her I said even if you'd have told me I probably wouldn't have understood it until the Lord revealed to me where where it came from and why it was there so I want to tell you that is important and a reason the reason I bring this up is because you let the wrong person lay hands on you it's the same type of thing I don't care if it's a generational curse or you go and open the door you go sin with sexual sin or occult sin or you let the wrong person pray for you you submit to the wrong individual you're going to open the door for a demonic Spirit to get a stronghold in there and if you don't get rid of him he's going to cause you some trouble that doesn't mean you're not a Christian it doesn't mean you're not walking with Jesus but he's there to cause you some trouble just like when it says the serpent who breaks the Hedge a serpent will bite him let me tell you anybody in here been bitten by a poisonous snake nobody just me and I promise you it wasn't in some Pentecostal Church handling snakes I got bit by water moccasin on my foot fishing and I want to tell you he left something in my foot to kill me and you go to the doctor to help him deal with what they put in you right so I'm just going to tell you right now you open the door the Hedge gets broken to a demon however it happens see that was a generational curse because it happened to my mom and it probably goes back further than that because her mother died young and then her dad's side my granddad's uh mother so it'd be my great-grandmother full-blooded Cherokee Indian so y'all want to know why I'm a little fiery sometimes because I have a lot of Cherokee Indian In Me and those generational curses passed down the things that that the spiritism and stuff that the Indians some of the the Native American tribes that stuff will pass down to you and you can sit there all day long and say well salvation gets rid of it really because I have a lifetime of experience that says no it doesn't automatically go when you get saved so let's stand so we got a birthday to celebrate I hope everybody's staying Bobby is this what 59 and holding 59 and holding say there's no more birthdays after this right no I'm just talking about celebrate acknowledging them right yeah we're not going to knock them no we you know what it's a blessing to live a long life isn't it brother it's it's a blessing to live a long life some of us could have didn't take it out a whole lot sooner and the devil he tries to take us out Bobby what was that wreck he ran you remember 2006. see that could have been it there we praise God that it was amen
let's pray father we thank you today for your word we thank you for the truth Lord there's a world out here that is so defiled and so contaminated and Satan and his demon Spirits are just running amok in everything and trying to pollute everything and Lord we want to stay free from that pollution that contamination we want the real move of the Holy Spirit we want real Revival we want the real glory of God have come down and we want the real Jesus and the real gospel so Lord we ask you to lead us and guide us into all truth to give us discernment to give us wisdom and that as we pray and meditate in your word that you'll continually lead us and guide us into all truths and we'll recognize spiritually recognize when something is contaminated when something is off when something is wrong because we've got to endure to the end and you warned us there's going to be a lot of deception in the end and you warned us that so we know you've given us a promise that you will lead us and guide us into all truth we just have to follow you so we ask you to help us do that in Jesus name amen can somebody say Amen did you learn something today I'm all you all know I'm gonna catch all kind of Health from the names I name but I don't care there's new names going to come out here and in the days ahead too we have to be careful not everyone that names the name of Christ is really flowing in the Holy Ghost so you got to be careful so we're not going to do a song today we don't need a song amen Jesus didn't have a worship leader so it's all right y'all I see I just messed up somebody right there too um this is the week though y'all be praying if you're not going please pray I have a word to preach there so impact conference 2023 Myrtle Beach South Carolina September 22nd through the 24th we fly out this week um others are going to be going those of you that are going I need to load some books in your car so you can take them there so we already shipped four thousand dollars worth of books to this thing but we're going to take a few more um because it probably could be around a thousand people there or something like that we're gonna see but uh just be praying if you're not going please be praying we will be having service here we have a secret guest speaker that's going to speak she wants me to keep it secret but I really should tell D is going to be preaching [Laughter]
