And Lord, you will judge us by this book, not by another, but by this [music] book, you will judge us. Did we do your will? Did we stand for your truth? Well, sometimes you just have to get back to basics, right? I've shared this before, but back in the old days of football, Vince Lombardi and those great coaches used to say when they their team got a little too fancy and started losing was scrapping everything, starting over and they would literally pick up a football and go, gentlemen, this is a football and the object of our game is to take this football and move move it down this field across that goal line. Auburn needs a little bit of that. Okay. So, I'm going to back up to something that's very basic. Should be. Let's Let's Let me put it that way. Should be. Somebody say should be. Should be. Should be. Very basic. It's one of Jesus most fundamental foundational teachings that he did a as he walked the earth before his crucifixion. In fact, he said, "If you don't get this one, you will not understand anything else I have to say." Now, think about that for a minute. If you don't get this, we can't move on.
Oh, come on now. Some of y'all ought to know what I'm about to talk about. I want to read something before we get into the text that actually I've titled this after. I want to read this basic teaching. So, let's go to Mark 4 and we're going to start at verse one and we're going to read a good bit here. Some of the craziest things that I have seen in the body of Christ. I just saw another one this week. Donnie sent it to me and got my blood boiling. Way to go, Donnie. Thank you, Donnie. Just like a Florida fan to get your blood boiling, right? [laughter] But anyway, Mark chapter 4. Now, let's read this. Everybody thinks they know this, right? I'm gonna find out if if they know it or not because we got the the new what I call the new flavor of the month. The the people that start getting popular just about, folks. Everybody starts getting popular in social media is probably a deceiver. You you probably just ought to lean and go, "Well, let me wait a minute and find out." So, because you usually can find out. What disturbs me are the Christians who are not seeming to figure it out. Basic foundational truth that is to me if you don't get it, you're you're set up for all the end time deceptions. You're just going to go along with the whole show. So let's read this. Speaking of Jesus, it says, "And he began again to teach by the seaside, and there was gathered unto him a great multitude, so that he entered into a ship and sat in the sea, and the whole multitude was by the sea on the land. And he taught them many things by parables, and said unto them in his doctrine, say this, parables parables are doctrine." which means that they are not open to individual private interpretation. Meaning the way we understand a parable is either the Lord himself explains it or the first law of hermeneutics or biblical interpretation is let the Bible interpret the Bible. meaning we look at what's in there and we find other things talking about similar things in the parable and then we know now I'm going to show you when you're going to you're going to see a clip this morning of how one of the biggest influencers pastors on social media right now the new hot potato
BaskinRobins's new flavor. [laughter] I I get sick of it. They go they get so popular because they talk about oh, you know, they got the they've got the full marketing program. They got six campuses in Texas. Narrowing it down for you. Baptist church. trying to pretend like it's not Baptist. Don't you love those? They take Baptist out of the name so that you don't know. Oh, come on, y'all. Where's my Hang got my water open here. All right. Tell me what you are. You know what I'm saying? And I'm tired of vague everybody. Oh, what was that? I'm tired of vague statements of faith as well. Go to these churches and try to find out what they believe. They leave it as vague as possible. Now, why would you do that? Let's trying to hide something. That's what politicians do and talk in vague generalities. It's because they're hiding something. All right, let's read this from there. But it says parables. He taught them many things in parables and said unto them in his doctrine. This is a doctrine of Jesus Christ. Hearken, behold, there went out a sewer to sew. And it came to pass as he sowed, some fell by the wayside, and the fowls of the air came and devoured it up. And some fell on stony ground where it had not much earth and immediately sprang up because it had no depth of earth. But when the sun was up, it was scorched, and because it had no root, it withered away. And some fell among thorns, and the thorns grew up, and choked it, and yielded no fruit. And the others said unto the good uh others fell on good ground rather, and did yield fruit that sprang up and increased, and brought forth some 30, some 60, some 100fold. Then Jesus said this, "He that has ears to hear, let him hear." Meaning, please get this. And when he was alone, they that were about him with the twel asked him the parable. So they move away from the multitude, and the people that were closest to Jesus, say close. Close. They didn't even understand it. Now this is bad. So they come and when he's alone, and they that were about him, and they asked him of the parable. And he said unto them, "Unto you it is given to know the mystery of the kingdom, but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables." Now, it looks like Jesus is showing some favoritism here. Yeah, he is a little bit. He's like, "You, if you're born again, if you're my disciple, you should understand these things. You
should have the Holy Spirit in you helping you to understand these things. Those who are outside of the church not going to understand these things at all. You should though, but I'm gonna show you how the majority of the American church does not understand this. And their leading preachers preach contrary to this foundational truth. But he said unto them, he said, 'It is given to you to know the mysteries of the kingdom of God, but unto them that are without, all these things are done in parables, that seeing they might they might may see and not perceive, and hearing they may hear and not understand, lest at any time they should be converted and their sin should be forgiven them. So, they've got to be converted first to really understand this. Okay? Meaning, the Holy Spirit has to convict them of sin. There has to be an acknowledgment of that, a belief that Jesus died for their sins and rose from the dead and the understanding that they must repent and turn away from sin and wickedness and follow Jesus. Okay? And he says if they're converted like that, they'll understand this. Okay? Now then he goes on and he says this. So he's going to explain the parable to them. And in verse 13, he said unto them, "Know ye not this parable? And how then will you know all parables?" See, the Lord would I I would read the Bible over the years and then the Lord would slam on the brakes. That verse right there. And he he they just asked him. And Jesus said, "It's given to you to know." Then he says, "What? If you don't know understand, if you don't get this one, how you going to understand all the rest of them?" Cuz what Jesus was saying is this is very basic stuff right here, gentlemen. This is a football right now. Our job is to ventriculate this down the field. [laughter] across the goal line. What's our goal? What is our goal? What's our end goal? To hear the words, good job. Enter into the kingdom. Enter into the joy of thy Lord, good and faithful servant. To make it into heaven slash the kingdom of God forever, right? Eternal life with Jesus. with God who created us. Anything that gets in the way of that ought to be looked at like it's a rattlesnake getting ready to bite us.
Anything. Somebody say anything. And anybody, even if it's an angel from heaven, I'm about to hurt somebody's feelings today. I'm going to tell you right now. He said unto them, "Know ye not this parable? How then will you know all parables? The serth the word and these are they by the wayside which where the word is sown. But when they have heard, Satan cometh immediately and taketh away the word that was sown in their hearts." So these don't believe these this group is not saved. Satan, they hear it, but Satan steals it immediately. These are your people that just reject immediately. Okay. Next group. He said, "And these are they likewise which are sown on stony ground, who when they have heard the word, immediately receive it with gladness." Somebody say, "Receive it with gladness." Receive gladness. Now the Bible tells us we are saved by receiving the engrafted word of God which is able to save our souls. Right? We are born again by the word of God. The Bible tells, right? So this one that falls on stony ground receives the word and begins to grow spiritually. Okay? If there is growth spiritually, you had to have been born again because there can be no spiritual growth in Jesus unless you are first saved by Jesus. Right? But these that fell among the stones, they sprung up quickly. There's a lot of people that receive the word gladly because they're like, "Yeah, I want to go to heaven. Yeah, I want my sins forgiven. Yeah, hey, hey, that sounds good. I I like that insurance policy and it's free. Hallelujah. I'll take it. And you know what? God's faithful to his word. They receive that word. They can begin to spring up. He says, "But in the other," and remember Jesus told this parable. We got it in Luke. We have it in Matthew. And he gives details, but he says, "These are they." Because what happens is when persecution arises, when trials come, it says these what? Dry up, wither away. They fall away. They die spiritually because they have no they they didn't stay long enough, fight long enough to get their roots going down deep. But they did begin to grow. See what this does right here. I mean, actually in Luke, it it it gives you a little more detail,
but let's go on to the next one. So that's the group that on stony ground. And he goes on to say, he says, they have no root in themselves. So they endure but for a time afterward when affliction or persecution arises for the word's sake immediately they are offended. That means to stumble or to fall. And then he says and these are they which are on are sown among the thorns. So this is your third group. Such as hear the word and the cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the lust of other things entering in choke the word and it becometh unfruitful. But again, this is a group that began to grow among thorns and vines. Now, down here in Alabama, we got these vines that will grow. I'm not I kid you not. I've cut them down. They'd be this tall. And I have cut them to the ground and come back in two weeks and they're back right here. This is how fast they grow. They can get they can get huge. They can go up a tree 30, 40, 50 feet. As they grow, the thorns begin to come out. And these things grow in my fig trees. Even Faith has gone out there and going, I got to save the fig trees and she'll get the stuff and start going down in between where the root, you know, the fig tree and cutting those vines and pulling them out of the field. is what did those vines try to do to my fig trees? Choke them out. Use all of the water in the ground and make my fig trees unfruitful. And that is not permitted. Right? But he says, "What my fig trees?" What? But even though you got a ground full of thorns, the fig tree is still growing. They grow together. And this group, they grow together. So meaning they were born again. Spiritual growth begins. You can't choke out something that's not alive. So, it had to be born again and start spiritually growing. But it it's surrounded by these cares of the world and the deceitfulness of riches and the lust for other things and that idolatry and those distractions and that love of the world are those vines that if you don't cut away, you're not going to survive. You have to get rid of those things. See, becoming a Christian, if you're going to keep growing, if you're going to survive, if you're not going to be choked out, you've got to cut some things out of your life. The the vines and the thorns. A lot of Christians won't cut it out of their lives, like pornography. Oh, it got quiet in here. Chasing after money instead of God, what do you want me to do?
There's a lot of people that won't surrender to the will of God because it's going to cost them a job or it's going to cost them money. You better follow God instead of money. But it says these. All right, let's keep reading. And the cares of the world and the deceitfuls of of riches and the lust of other things earing choke the word and it becomes unfruitful. Now the Bible is clear. If you do not bear fruit, you will not go into the kingdom. And I can show you that in John 15. Now, the final group are those who are sown on good ground such as hear the word, receive it, and then bring forth fruit. They take time to let the roots go down deep. They dig. They get close to Jesus. They learn the word. They fight through. They don't let persecution sway them. They don't let trials deter them. They don't get distracted and lusting after other things, money and fame and fortune. They don't get going after those things. And let me tell you the problem with a lot of churches and ministries in this world now is what are they chasing? They are chasing money, fame, and numbers. how many followers they have, how big their church is. They think they have they have bought the lie that that is success. But success to God has nothing to do with about how much money, how big a church is, how much land you own, how many churches you've start, all of that stuff you're going to find out. Even there's even a false intimacy movement. Oh, we want to be intimate with God, but they don't do what God's will is. Okay. Oh, now let's go and we'll put up my slide. We're going to go to Proverbs. That was just to get you ready. All right, somebody say amen. All right, that's good. Now, we're going to go to Proverbs 30. And you can go ahead and put my title slide up. The title of this message today, and this is just the start of the message, I'm telling right here. Pure in their own eyes. Pure in their own eyes. Now, let's read this. Let's go down to Proverbs 30 and we're going to go down and start at verse 11. Here's some wisdom for you. He says, "There is a generation that cursseeth their father and does not bless their mother. There is a generation that are pure in their own eyes and yet is not washed from their filthiness.
There is a generation whose teeth are as swords Oh, I'm sorry. I'm sorry. I skipped verse 13. How it says there is a generation." know how lofty are their eyes and their eyelids are lifted up. There is a generation whose teeth are as swords and their jaw teeth as knives to devour the poor from off the earth and the needy from among men. Now, when he says here there's a generation, he's not just talking about he's not talking about ages of people in particular. If you look this word up, it's kind of broad and you can have he talks about the generation of the righteous. Well, you've always had righteous and the generation of the wicked. You've always had them at all different times. So, he's talking about really different groups. And I believe all four of these exist right now in our time. We are in the time where children do not respect their parents, do not honor their father and mother. Um, it's actually an epidemic now. Um, I could really spend time on that. But the same generation are pure. This is what's so wild. They are pure in their own eyes and yet not washed from their filthiness. Okay, I'm going to show you something now. Let's play this video and they're going to cue it up. This video is a pastor, a megaurch pastor in Dallas, Texas, Lake Point Church, which I happen to know it's in Rock Wall, Texas, because I know that they are the ones that bought and took over Church on the Rock, Larry Lee's old church building once Church on the Rock left. This is a Baptist church and their pastor, Mr. Josh Howton, has become uh you know an uh social media phenom now, right? [sighs] Just play it. I guess we'll make sure the volume's up. will not experience heaven in the same way. I don't know how it all works. There will be different degrees, the Bible says, of eternal wealth in glory in heaven. Different degrees based on what we've done. There will be different degrees, it seems like the Bible's saying, of fame, honor, and recognition [music] in heaven. In the parable of the talents, remember there's a dude that just takes the one talent and sticks in the handkerchief and is like, I don't want to risk anything. So, he does not listen, he does not turn turn a profit on his life with the things God gave him for the glory of God and the good of
people. He doesn't do that. And Jesus looks at that guy and he goes, "You wicked and lazy servant." He gets in, but he gets no reward. [music] But then Jesus looks at the dude who took the 10 talents and he leveraged his life, time, talent, treasure and he turned 10 into 20. And Jesus looks at that guy. You remember what he says? He [music] says, "Well done. Well done, good and faithful servant." Now I'm wondering how many just raise your hand. Did you catch it? How many of you caught his error? He said the wicked guy who hid his talent in the earth bore no fruit still got in but he just didn't get the rewards that other people get. Now what's so bad is how in the world let's turn to Matthew 25. You got to turn to Matthew 25. Y'all got to watch these guys. They're slick. They're professional marketers. They slip in these lies, these false doctrines of hell from Satan, right in the middle of an emotional sermon because he goes on to get kind of really emotional about it all. [sighs] Matthew 25, the parable of the talents he was speaking of. Now, I'm not going to read the whole thing here. We could we could uh he says, well, let's just read verse 14. For the kingdom of heaven is as a man traveling into a far country who called his own servants. Who? Who who's the man traveling in the far country? Jesus. as means after his crucifixion and resurrection and he left he ascended back to heaven that's him traveling into far country he called [snorts] his own servants and it says and he delivered unto them his goods meaning that the servants Jesus called he gives them everything they need right he gives them everything they need to do what he wants them to do that's what the talents represent the talents represent God giving you once you become saved he gives you everything you need to make it he gives you a Bible the word of God. He gives you his Holy Spirit to lead and teach you. And he's the one God has dealt to everyone the measure of what? Faith. And then he's the grace, the power of the Holy Spirit comes to actually help you do it. Okay? So, God's delivered to us his goods, everything we need to make it from this point into heaven to our goal line.
And it and all three of them were given different amount and responsibilities. And what does that represent? One woman was given five, one woman's given two, one woman's given one. What does that represent? We all do not have the same level of responsibility. Okay? That's why it talks about teachers and pastors are going to be held accountable and come under greater condemnation because we have a greater responsibility. We can't be messing it up, Pastor Howton. You're messing up the b the basic foundation of this thing. Who makes it in and who falls away before they make it. I remember that when I was 19 years old, God showed me this is the most important issue in the church. They don't preach it clearly. They don't explain it clearly. And the big ones with all the money and all the people and the TV and the marketing, they all they slip it in and that's how they end up keeping the masses. Let's let's put it up real quick. Just on Facebook, one million followers for Mr. Howard. Let me show it right here. One million one million people following this dude. And he's telling them, you can be a wicked slothful servant and you still going to get in. Wicked. You can be wicked, lazy, do nothing. bury it in the earth because you're ashamed. You're afraid. What did God say about if you're ashamed of him and his what did he say? Oh, you're going to make it in. Tony Evans, you know, the one that got But this is both of these guys are out of Dallas. Tony Evans, I remember he would preach on the radio. Black preacher out of Dallas, big ministry. heard him on the radio for years, on TV, the whole nine yards. Of course, he got busted for sexual immorality. Usually they do that believe this, but I remember him teaching this parable and saying that the guy who had the one talent and hid it and they said, "Take him and cast him into outer darkness where there'll be weeping and nashing of teeth." He actually said that that's not hell or separation from God. That's a dark corner of heaven he's gonna have to live in. I kid you not. Now, what does the Bible say about heaven? That what? There is no darkness there. Not even shadows.
God is light and in him there is no darkness at all. No shadow of turning. How could you say something like that and be a pastor influencing millions of people? And yet here we are. Let's keep reading. So for the kingdom of heaven is as a man traveling into far country. We know that's Jesus. He called his own servants. That's Christians. Delivered unto them his goods. Grace, faith, everything. the Holy Spirit, the power, everything we need. Unto one he gave five talents, to another two, to another one, to every man according to his several ability, and straightway took his journey. Then he that had received the five talents went and traded. Say this, he went and did something with his faith. He obeyed. He heard from God what to do and walked it out and ventriculated the ball down the field. Right. He walked this journey to make it across. Our carpet's messed up, right? To make it across the goal line. I played football. I used to play quarterback. Meaning I used to throw the ball to other people and I used to run the ball. I even played on kickoff return. And I remember my goal when I was running the ball was to get through all the obstacles in my way and all the people trying to knock me down and get down there. And guess what? I scored a few touchdowns in my day. I've been in the end zone, right? It's fun. You spin the ball, do a little dance. It's fun. This one though is about your eternal life either in heaven or in hell. This is not a game. And let me tell you what Howardon is. How m Mr. Pastor Howard, he's not somebody trying to help you block for you to get you down the field. He's somebody trying to tackle you, but he's wearing your jersey. Wolf and sheep's clothing. Exactly. Let's keep reading it. Feeling good today. So it says, "And likewise, what he traded, and likewise he that received the two, verse 17, also gained other two, but he that received the one went and digged in the earth and hid his Lord's money." Somebody say, "His Lord's money." His Lord's money. His Lord. His Lord. Jesus was his Lord.
He called Jesus Lord while he took what Jesus gave him and was ashamed of it and in fear, in disobedience, and as a rebel and buried it in the ground. but yet walked around. Jesus is my Lord. Hallelujah. And Jesus would ask the question, "Why do you call me Lord, Lord, and you do not the things that I say?" That's these people that are pure in their own eyes. Oh, got Jesus. Got Jesus. Then I got a honey over here that ain't my wife. Somebody say [laughter] or as my mother-in-law would say. And he says here, verse 20. Well, no, verse 19, I'm sorry. After a long time. Somebody say after a long time. After a long time. Not 70 AD. That wouldn't have been a long time, now would it? That's for you what are they little predous or short season people after a long time about 2,000 years. The Lord of those servants cometh and reckonth with them. This is Jesus return and judgment day. And so that he that had received the five talents came and brought the other five talents, saying, Lord, thou delivers unto me five talents. Behold, I have gained beside them five talents more. He said unto him, "Well done, good and faithful servant. Thou hast been faithful over a few things. I will make thee ruler over many things. Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." He also that had received the two talents came and said, "Lord, thou delivers unto me two talents. Behold, I have gained two other talents beside them." See, it's not even a matter of the amount of work. It's and it's not about work anyway. It's about the will of God. Works are what you choose to do. You can do a bunch of good works that you choose to do and it's not the will of God. There's a lot of guys that are pastoring churches. That's not the will of God for them. But they just decided they were going to go that way. But if you hear from God and do his will, that's what bears fruit. Real fruit. Lasting fruit. fruit that God looks at and says this. Come on in. Then he says this. The Lord said, "Well done, good and faithful servant. God's been faithful over a few things. I will make thee ruler over many things. Enter thou into the joy of thy Lord." So the guy with five, the guy with two, here's the same thing. You were faithful. Somebody say faithful. Faithful. You were not wicked and slothful.
Now, let's read about the last guy. All right, just so you see, I'm not taking it out of context. Verse 24. Then he which had received the one talent came and said, Lord, I knew thee that thou art a hard man. He's saying, I know that you meant what you say, that you ain't playing games. You're you're hard. So, I get accused of all the time. You're a hard man. Well, guess what? I work for the hardest of them all. Right? He said, I knew you meant what you said. And he said, um, you're a hard man reaping where you have not sown and gathering where you have not stroed or planted. Meaning, I also know that you are supernatural and powerful. Now, this is something a Christian would say. God, I know you can do anything. Then why is your talent in the earth? Why are you scared? Why are you ashamed? Why are you wicked and slothful? If you know that I mean what I say and you know I can take and make something out of nothing, why would you disobey me? Why would you become wicked and slothful? And then he says this, "I was afraid and went and hid thy talent in the earth, and lo, thou hast that is thine." And his lord, somebody say his lord, his lord answered and said unto him, thou wicked and slothful servant, thou kneest that I reap where I sowed not, and gather where I have not. You knew I could do anything through you, for you. Thou oughtest therefore to have put my money to the exchangers, and then at my coming I should have received my own with interest. Take therefore the talent from him, and give it unto him which hath 10 talents. So that means everything the Lord had given the guy was taken away from him, including salvation. Taken from him. And this is Jesus talking to the angels and he says, "For every one that hath shall be given, and he shall have abundance, but from him that hath not shall be taken away, even that which he hath, and cast ye the unprofitable servant into outer darkness, there shall be weeping and nashing of teeth." Now, let me show you something. Somebody that lives a life of fear, the kind of fear that keeps them from doing God's will for their lives, they don't make it. Let's go to Revelation 21.
Verse six. Now this is what Pastor Howardon should be preaching. And this is Jesus talking. He said unto me, "It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is a thirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcomemeth shall inherit all things and I will be his God and he shall be my son. So he's talking about you want to make it to the end goal of eternal relationship with God. Know this. You got to overcome something. What do you have to overcome? Fear. Fear of being what you're supposed to be. Don't shout me down when I'm preaching good. He says, "He that overcomemeth," the word here is a present tense Greek verb. What's that mean? FGSM students ongoing ongoing continuous action taking place in the present. So he's saying that you have to continually overcome. What's that mean? As you're running down the field, you got to be Bo Jackson. You run over people that's in your way. You stiff arm them out of the way. You fly by them faster than they can catch you. You take it down the sideline to the end zone. When little uh oh, what's his name? When little uh oh, prime time. What was it? Deion Sanders. When Deion Sanders catches up with you at the end zone and your Bo Jackson and he tries to tackle, you just wipe him off like he's a little gnat. And Dion told that story. But what he's saying is is that if you continue to live for Jesus and walk with him in obedience and not be ashamed and not let fear stop you, fear is going to be one of those opposers that's going to try to stop you. Right? You can't let anything stop you. Amen. Let's let's keep going. He says, "He that overcomemeth," meaning all obstacles put in his way, "shall inherit all things, heaven, the new Jerusalem, the new kingdom upon the earth." All things, it's all ours. I will be his God, and he shall be my son. But somebody say, "But." Jordan, but
[laughter] But the fearful, do you see this? The fearful. What did the guy say? I was afraid. Went and hid your town there. the fearful and unbelieving and the abominable and murderers and whoreongers and sorcerers and idolattors and all liars shall have their part in the lake which burnth with fire and brimstone which is the second death. See these preachers don't want to talk about who makes it and who doesn't make it. My job is to make it as crystal clear to you where you are. And it's not that a Christian will not sin. I have taught this so many times, but I know the Lord want me to do it again today. Sin in the life of a Christian should be the exception and not the rule. Meaning, if these things right here, if you live in fear, if it's a habitual ongoing lifestyle that you never get out of, then guess what? You don't make it in. If you're a whoreonger, mean you just you're a man that chases after one after another. Just being blunt. Same thing for a woman. And you don't ever repent. You don't ever come out of that. You continue to be a but you can go to church all you want to. You can talk about Jesus is my Lord all you want to, but your talents buried with that You understand? Because Bible says a is a deep ditch, deep pit. He that is wise escapes from that. Uh that's Ecclesiastes 10:8. He that digth a pit shall fall into it. Keep going. What you say? Murderers. That and that murderers are people who hate their brother. Not just people who kill other people, whoreongers, sorcerers, drug users, drug dealers, witchcraft, idoltors. What's that? That's idolatry is those thorns and lust for other things, the deceitfulness of riches. All liars shall have their part in the lake which burnth and the burnth there happens to be present tense Greek verb. What does that mean? Ongoing, continuous, and taking place in the present. We got people saying it's it's going to end. Hell's going to burn out, fizzle out.

He says, "Enter ye in at the straight or the narrow gate, for wide is the gate, and broad is the way that leadth to destruction, and many there be that go in there at because straight or narrow is the gate, and narrow is the way which leadth unto life, and few there be that find it." Then he says, "Beware of these people who appear to be Christians, but are really Obstacles, stumbling blocks, linebackers trying to stop you. 370lb defensive linemen trying to stop you. You understand? But they wear our own jersey. Sometimes we think they're on our team and they're not. But in this same context, I want you to go down verse 21. He says, "Not everyone," verse 21, "not everyone that saith unto me, Lord, Lord, shall enter into the kingdom of heaven, but only here, he that doeth the will of my father which is in heaven." Many will say to me, somebody say many. Many. Many will say to me in that day, Lord, Lord, have we not prophesied in thy name? And in thy name have cast out devils, and in thy name done many wonderful works. And then will I profess unto them, I never knew you. Depart from me, ye that work iniquity. Um, I warned they've had they had sexual scandals there with other ministers and I warned that once you mix paganism, once you incorporate visualization and and uh mantra type prayer where you do repetitive type prayer, when you do that, you open the door to all kinds of demons. But idolatry usually opens the door to demons of lust and perversion. Remember when the when the Israelites open the door to idolatry in the wilderness and all of a sudden they're in a in a fornication orgy, okay? And God starts killing some of them because they were wicked. Now, I warned about this in 2012 and I got attacked, rejected, hated. How dare you talk about Mike Pickle and Idaho? Don't you know they're praying 24 hours a day and there's worship going on 24/7? Don't you know they talk about intimacy with God all the time? Yeah, I'd watch some of their stuff. I went to one of their conferences one time. I heard Mike Bickl speak in 1999 at a Charisma Magazine conference. I was there invited by Charisma Magazine while I was there. And I remember him announcing the 24-hour prayer and worship ministry. And I thought, who is this guy standing up here? what he's saying. What he's saying sounds good, but there is no anointing of the Holy Spirit on what he's saying.
That was my first encounter. Then what used to bug me is I said I would say we went to one of his conferences. This is right after Nancy and I first got married. And I was already questioning why what is going on here? And I was starting to find out some things. And then we go to this conference. And here's a conference about 24-hour prayer and worship at Fresh Anointing in Montgomery, 2009ish, somewhere around there. And I'm sitting there the whole time and I'm like, there should be the witness of the Holy Spirit on this, but it's as dead as a Baptist church. Why? I couldn't figure it out. Couldn't figure it out. Couldn't figure it out. Couldn't figure it out. But one scripture the Lord took me to about this problem, and we're going to get to these slides in a second.
