holy spirit upon us the anointing to empower those words to flow through our lives to change us to speak to us to lead us and guide us lord we invite you here we thank you god we praise you god this morning we thank you god for everything that your word promises when we do things your way lord we just worship you i thank you have this time to be together with our church family and those listening we thank you lord god for uh those who will hear this all over the world and we pray god that you would just ordain and speak and move through this entire service jesus name amen you can be seated this morning could have done those last two songs several times i think [Music] okay i thought the sound system was coming back on what's that oh yeah we'll turn this on now all right well good morning to everyone hallelujah so as most of you already know that today is our ordination service we have a message to preach before we do that though because it is a serious thing amen it's something that i've never taken lightly and never done quickly with anyone because it is a it is a serious matter you know the bible talks about in hebrews chapter 6 talks about the foundational doctrines of christ and it says there the doctrine of repentance from dead works faith toward god it talks about also the doctrine of baptisms plural not one doctrine of baptisms but it also talks about the doctrine of the laying on of hands and there are multiple just like there are multiple baptisms there's the baptism in water until repentance after you're saved there's the baptism of the holy spirit with the evidence of speaking in other tongues that the the christians already saved received on the day of pentecost and on throughout the new testament then there's the baptism of fire when god truly baptizes you with fire and sanctifies you and does a cleansing work and and frees you from a lot of things that you used to habits and issues that you've had okay how many of you know christians still have bad habits and sins and issues that
need to be burned out of them amen so that's the baptism of fire the old the old uh you know wesley and his guys used to call it sanctification and they believed it was a complete second work of grace after you were saved that you needed to be saved sanctified and filled with the holy ghost that's the way the old pentecostals used to preach it amen and the old methodist circuit writers so there's multiple baptisms there's multiple reasons for the ministry of the laying on of hands the ministry is laying on hands if you look and again this is just giving you a little introduction to this this morning this is really not the message but but the ministry of laying on the pants is for divine healing she said these signs will follow them that believe they will lay hands on the sick and they shall recover amen so it's for the ministry of healing but it's also the ministry of laying on hands for the ordination of ministers and the impartation of the gifts of the holy spirit and not just the gifts of the holy spirit but the ministry gifts this is a biblical principle you see it in romans 1 verse 11 you see it talked about in timothy both first and second timothy uh you see in the old testament as well you see it when moses god instructed moses to call 70 of the elders and he called the 70 elders and the lord spoke to him and said i'm going to take of of the spirit that's on you the holy spirit of god that was only said i'm going to take of that anointing that's on you and i'm going to put it on them so they can help bear the burden of the congregation and so god transfers anointings i don't know you know some people in the traditional church world they don't understand this they don't believe it but it's bible we see the picture with elisha and elijah you know and and they understood that man in fact all the prophets then because you know back in the days of elijah and elisha there was a group of prophets there was a school of the prophets actually they called them the sons of the prophets but elijah was the head prophet over those prophets of that time and i remember when he said the lord told him he said go do such and such a few things here and i want you to go anoint elisha to be in your place when you leave when i take you and so elijah went and obeyed the lord and anointed elisha to be prophet in his place when he left and so for a time for a season elisha served elijah with humility and learning and maturing and then of course we know that before elijah left and this is all in second kings before elijah left that you know god took elijah up to heaven and a chariot of fire and before elijah left elisha asked him and said you know elijah said well what do you want
and he said i want a double portion of your spirit to be on me and what did the lie elijah says you've asked a hard thing but i'll tell you what if you see me when i'm taken it'll be so and so elisha stuck with him and he was there and saw him when he was taken up into heaven and he said as elisha or elijah brother i mean was taken up to heaven his mantle or his coat fell down to the ground and his coat fell down to the ground and elisha walked over and picked it up because it represented the calling and the gifts and the anointing it wasn't that there was anything special about that coat except that it represented those things and elisha walked over and picked it up and he went to the jordan river and he smote it just like elijah had done before and divided it he smoted he said where is the lord god of elijah and the water parted and the prophets the sons of the prophets the younger ones that were standing back on the hill looking at all this watching all this happen they said surely the spirit of elijah rests upon elisha see this may sound odd but this is biblical let me go to acts chapter 19 and you see where paul it said had aprons paul was working when paul sometimes when paul was in a place planning a new church he had to work a physical job of building tents and he said so obviously he said you know he he had to wear you know like his work belt like an april dominant like a carpenter's belt type thing type apron that you can wear and it said they took those things handkerchiefs and aprons from that the apostle paul had just worn while he was working and he took those to people who they people took those to people who were demon-possessed and when the clothing got near them they were delivered and healed by the power of jesus there's just something about the principle of god and that's why you know there are people out there who think it's foolish when i talk about accursed objects because you know just like i've just shared with you there are things blessed in this world by god's spirit like elijah's mantle and and um and these things paul's apron and handkerchiefs you know i hate it for our some of our baptists and methodists and traditional brothers but that's in the new testament about pieces of clothing getting people set free from demons and getting healed in jesus name you know i don't try to argue with the bible amen and i've seen that happen myself okay but it also happens the other way in the other world in the demonic realm in the witchcraft realm they curse things they put their demon spirits on things and they can be brought into our possession and we can have that demonic blessing that i say lightly demonic blessing but
anyway so ordination into the ministry this is no like thing now we're going to start i want you to go with me go to matthew 10. and of course i'm going to talk about prophetic leadership this morning but i got to share some things with you god always uses men to affirm and confirm his calling on your life he always use other men other women who have been called who have been walking in the anointing who have been walking in the gifts he always calls them to confirm your calling it's not that man calls you it's not that man ordains you but god calls and he uses a man to ordain or confirm that calling on you because god knows everything in the in the world he does everything through somebody and if you don't believe me of course you can go to the store of john the baptist in jesus and jesus when jesus comes to john the baptist and he said to be baptized and john the baptist goes what are you doing here i need to be baptized of you and jesus said no suffer or allow this to happen because we must do this to fulfill all righteousness well why did that have to happen why did a a sinful man in john the baptist because there's no men that's never sinned but but how could a sinful man have to baptize jesus christ of nazareth god in the flesh before jesus could fulfill all righteousness and begin his ministry why did why did jesus have to be recognized by a prophet or a man on the earth because that's the way god works john the baptist represented the prophetic leadership that was on the earth anointed by the holy spirit called by the holy spirit and every true man or woman of god that goes out into the ministry has to come from someplace some other ministry some other church some other prophet they have to come and they have to be recognized it's just part of the thing part of the way god does it amen i mean is that bible all right now that's why i'm giving you that because it's important that we recognize that and especially those of you who are about to be ordained this morning some of you do the five-fold ministry we've won this
will be ordained elder just so you know that if you're ordained to the five-fold ministry that automatically makes you an elder so this morning really we are donating four people three to the five-fold ministry one as an elder but all four are going to be elders in the church and it's important for you to realize and i'm just going to say this that two things is going to happen in your life when you submit to true prophetic leadership and when you are ordained to the ministry and you step into the rules two things can happen uh going to see the identity of that increase in your life and the gifts increase in your life and you're going to see a little left with authority and power increase in your life but you're also going to see a new level of attack because you've stepped into a new realm and i know some of you think well it's no big deal it's just a piece of paper listen you're right it's just a piece of paper but this is the the ordination of leadership in the church is as spiritual and as powerful as baptism or communion or whatever because this is the passing of the baton this is the continuation of the body of christ this is how we go from generation to generation i mean what makes some some things really awesome in church history is when we look at say the apostle john and the man some of the men that john discipled personally who later carried on into the next generation and then they discipled me and who carried it on into the next generation and that's the way it's supposed to go and listen more than ever before and i'm going to explain these terms i'm really calling this today prophetic leadership in a time of apostasy because that is where we're living we're living in a time people the word apostasy means to leave the truth to stray away from the truth to to not be loyal to the truth to jesus christ and to the truth of the word of god and we're seeing people listen only a true believer only a christian can commit apostasy and we are in the great falling away the great apostasy promised in the end times all right and listen there are many voices out there there are many voices many voices saying a lot of things i listen to a sermon friday night and you know what i'm realizing there are people that can babble on they can just babel bible battle spiritual goblin talk but just because you can spout out a few scriptures here and there and give some stupid illustrations does not make you a prophetic leader in the kingdom of god
does not mean you're hearing god does not even mean you know god there are a lot of people claiming to speak for god who don't know god and they don't know the word and they chop the word up like it's a jigsaw puzzle and they can take whatever piece they won't use it however they want to prove whatever they want and i'm really sick and tired of it but a prophetic leader a prophetic leader is someone who is close to god someone who hears from god someone who is devoted to the whole counsel of god's word fiercely devoted fiercely jealous for god's honor god's truth god's righteousness and god's way of doing things we've got a lot of readers out there books but they are not prophetic leaders they are not anointed by the holy spirit they are not even doing what he wants them to do but glory they sure can preach their five points in a poem and it's sermon that's for christian acts and bassinets amen it's weak we live in an era of weak watered down effeminate christian leaders that are just killing the church by their compromise by their weakness and by their just their their their total deviating from what is true and holy so when i say this this morning i'm not taking this stuff lightly and i hope you don't either because if i were doing you to the ministry and you start messing up i am going to embarrass you amen i am going to hold you accountable i am going to make sure that you don't stray if you stray you will not be recognized by this ministry in this church [Music] right and that's the way it should be amen you can't have any foolishness going on now i want to say i'm going to read this verse where we got enough foolishness going on but this is important matthew 10. verse 40. and i've talked about this verse before but this is why you need to take this seriously this morning how you receive leaders that god raises up in the church determines a lot of things all right matthew 10 verse 40 jesus said this he said speaking to his disciples as he could just ordain them and he said he was with you as me
and he that receiveth me was he was going to accept me and he that received the prophet in the name of a prophet shall receive a prophet's reward and he that received a righteous man in the name of a righteous man shall receive a righteous man's reward so how do you receive your leaders how you receive the reward what's the reward of a prophet is it money the reward of a prophetic leader is that he gives you the truth he gives you the truth he gives you the true counsel of god because he's hearing from god he gives you true prophetic revelation and if you are so called you're going to receive the supernatural anointing you're going to receive power and gifts and supernatural anointing that's on his life you're going to receive the gift if you receive him that way here's what's interesting there's a scripture that's a phrase that's repeated in the old testament touch not mine anointed and do my prophets no harm it's also very dangerous to mistreat or speak against a true prophetic leader okay i've seen people getting real trouble you know this is funny i mean listen y'all y'all know y'all see me i'm human i'm living gross sin backslidden and you know all that stuff but i'm not i'm not a perfect man by any means i've had my struggles but the call of god's been on my life for many years jesus appeared to me in a vision called me to be a prophet in the kingdom of god called me to be a pastor called me to be a five-fold teacher called me to be an evangelist i've had men of god speak those things later confirm those things and ordain me to the ministry and recognize those gifts and calling on my life i have seen people decide they're going to come against me and watch their lives fall apart and i'm like it ain't me god sent a prophet to you and it was usually after i gave him a prophetic word or a correction or a rebuke or some kind of instruction and said this is from the lord this is not from me this is from the lord he made me come tell you this because trust me i didn't want to i've told people that i'd much rather play golf i'm not joking you know what i'm saying i'd much rather play golf than the lord tell me i want you to go speak a prophetic word in first baptist church which i did back in the 80s or pine grove united methodist church or one church here
in town back then god had to go give it a word that it was going to be no more and guess what it is no more okay there is truly power and god backs up his people so i want you to say about her you receive a prophet in the name of a prophet you receive a prophet's reward so how you take this day and i'm speaking of course to those of you who's going to be ordained but it's really for everybody because because all of you are going to be called of god to do something in your life and you're only going to be called no matter if you're in this church or or god sends you to another one one day you're going to be called to be submitted to true leadership if you're not truly submitted to a prophetic leader and truly humble in your heart and truly planted in a relationship with a true prophetic leader then you need to be if you're a christian amen if jesus had to go to john the baptist to let it be done right there's people out there think they don't have to have a pastor they don't have to have a covering they don't have to have a church they don't have to have elders in their lives they don't have to have accountability that's all rebellion error and dangerous if you are a believer and listen just because there are some leaders out there that abuse their power and abuse their position does not mean that that gives you an excuse to be a rebel amen so and we've talked about this before i've covered that thing before but i want you to go with me we're just going to cover a few points what makes a prophetic leader let's just look at it go to um first timothy if you read first chapter one if we go to first timothy chapter one you find out some interesting things because right now we're in a time of such a time of apostasy and deception and error and compromise in the church world and it's been going on for so long now that it that it seems like accepting uh false teachers in false doctrine and false theology and demonic people and demonic religions and demonic perversions of christianity it seems like that has become what's hip and acceptable within the church world and if anybody dares speak up about that they are the bad guy and we've had this happen here recently it's gotten out of hand and let me tell you what this is
these these attacks when you when you step up to confront something when you step up to speak the truth you step up to confront a brother or sister who's erroring in doctrine or erring in their lifestyle or erring in how they're treating people or whatever and you step up to do something prophetically as a prophetic leader and you all of a sudden are the bad guy it just shows you how far we've fallen and i'm talking about because the persecution comes from christians it's become so watered down now that no basically all this demonic pressure to not be confrontive and truthful and plain and blunt and strong is the devil pushing the church to be effeminate i mean i'm just telling you right now the devil what you see in the world with the push to make men have a feminine side folks men aren't supposed to have a feminine side why because we're not feminine matter of fact the word effeminate is listed in first corinthians chapter 6 as a sin that will damn you and you know what it's defined as the word effeminate there in the greek is defined as being nice soft and of course the other thing men liking men homosexuality men liking boys in particular but think about that be nice be soft that's the pressure from the world and now the pressure that that all this pressure has been put on men to not be men in the world and now we've got an epidemic of homosexuality and men taking estrogen and having sex change operations because all this pressure is you got to be nice you got to be soft you got to have a feminine side you got to dress like a woman and do your nails and all this other stuff so that you can understand women guess what i don't care i don't have to understand women i just need to understand the bible amen i would never understand women that's right i try i'll try to understand but my brain doesn't work that way it is not supposed to amen god wants women to be women and men to be men and christians to be strong bold clear blunt unafraid unashamed amen even in the kingdom of god this goes for me and woman he says quit you
like me be [Music] you've got no reason to flee from someone when they're in wickedness that's proverbs 28 2 i believe or one the righteous of bold as a lion the wicked flew when no man pursues you know what i was talking to my friend from hollywood last night and he said you want to talk about an issue of manhood go to california go to hollywood he's told me last night that there are men paying three thousand dollars a chop to get other men to teach them how to be a man i'm like let him come down here to the south and hear the word of god and we're going to shoot some guns and we'll be men we won't bathe and we'll hunt and if you make a homosexual passing us and touch us we'll slap your face we'll punch you in the mouth and still be your friend and get that beam in homosexuality out of you amen listen this nice soft effeminate theology and ministry and leadership that's in the church right now it is a cover to cover up for all the sin that's going on let me tell you what a prophetic leader is supposed to be first and foremost concerned with after his relationship with god making sure he's living as holy a life as he can and dedicated and obedient to the lord the number one thing is that we're to guard the doctrine the foundational and fundamental doctrines of christianity with our lives for our lives our reputations and our fortunes and like our founding fathers pledged their lives their reputations their fortunes everything when they signed that declaration of independence it's everything and how do i know that here's the apostle paul
writing to his son in the faith timothy the faithful young brother who who you know timothy was a faithful faithful brother he loved paul he served paul faithfully but he had a little fear problem he was a little timid he's a little afraid of people and little issues paul kept having to encourage him don't be afraid god's not giving you spirit of fear don't draw back don't be ashamed of the gospel don't be ashamed of me i mean he had to keep telling me why you want to know why he's had stomach problems and part of the time he's like a little whine for your stomach's sake he's done because he had fear issues fear make your stomach messed up nobody writes the first letter to timothy as timothy goes out and listen to what he said because you know what there are people in the church world saying don't worry about doctrine doctor's not a big deal it's just about jesus now let me tell you if you depart from the doctrine of christ you've departed from christ if you add to or take from god's word and his sound doctrine you've departed from jesus let me just explain something to you you can't have jesus and mary because the moment you add mary as co-redemptive queen of heaven uh individual that you pray to you don't have jesus anymore because you're an idolater you understand you can't depart from the doctrine of scripture and keep jesus they are one of the same that's why he has called the word of and earth will god away but my words will never pass away amen man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of god every word every matthew 28 what did he tell his disciples he said go and teach them and tell them all things that i commanded you all pilot ephesus acts chapter 20 what does he say i have declared unto you the whole council of the word of god i am clean of the blood of all men but some of you i know that after my default departing grievous walls will rise up even some of you he tells timothy first thing he says to him after he gives his greeting let's read it verse one paul and apostle jesus christ by the commandment of god our savior and the lord jesus christ which is our hope unto timothy my own son in the faith grace mercy and peace be god our father and jesus christ our lord as i was taught you to abide still references when i went into macedonia
that you might challenge them that they teach no other doctrine neither give heed to fables myths made up stories we either give you the fables and endless ideologies which minister questions rather than godly edifying and the word edifying is amazing godly edifying their wounds doing what you should do preaching with you to preach that builds the church in truth and righteousness not giving them doctrines that make them comfortable in sin not watering it down so we can get along with the catholics weak i'm about to get some folks faces out here in this world y'all think you've seen something when jesus looked at the pharisees you know what made him so angry with them they were the ministers of god y'all he said though sat in moses seat of authority he even told the people what they tell you to do do but don't do like they do and he looked at them in front this is matthew 23 in front of a multitude guess what in public on facebook in front of everybody jesus looks at them and says you vipers you hypocrites you wash tombs full of dead men's bones here's what you do and he went down the list in front of a multitude listen to me he didn't go in private and he was sweet and nice and said you know y'all might want to think about changing this it's just you know i i'm just encouraging you brother no the sick of it i'm not trying to encourage you if you're wicked the wrath of god abides on you if you're wicked and you're done until we repent that's prophetic leader right there why because he's not because because he doesn't love no matter of fact see a prophetic leader a true prophetic leader is so burning with love for god's people and lost people that they're angry and upset with anybody or anything or any devil or any deception that would take a person away from god and damn them to hell matter of fact the stronger our leader is about the truth the more he loves you the more compromised he is the less he loves his people so he tells timothy i told you i left you in macedonia
that you might charge these people not to preach any other doctrine and look what he says verse 5. now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart and of a good conscience and of faith and feeling and where we can look at this the the end of the commandment is love out of a pure heart you know what a pure heart is a heart that's truly moral and given to morality no true love hear me no true love can come out of somebody that wants to justify the evil roman catholic church or wants to justify homosexuality or wants to justify wickedness and say oh it's okay jesus covers it all i can live in this sin no true love true charity comes out of a pure heart a moral heart a heart that cares about what is righteous and what is holy and what is godly and what is true and guess what the prophetic leader cares about what is true about god and his word more than he cares about your weak and unique little feelings or whether you tithe or not or whether you come to church or not [Music] don't shout me down now see that's why i told nancy i said you know it's beautiful i said it's wonderful to be free i can't be bald i can't be manipulated i can't be pushed you're not pushing me away from the truth you're not manipulating me away from the truth you're not going to shed tears to get me off the truth you're not going to scream at me fuss at me cuss me intimidate me punch me shoot me you're not going to get me off the truth you're not going to threaten to leave the church or quit tithing and quit getting i just looked at you thinking bye i'm preaching the truth oh but brother you'll cause more harm than good really what are you causing wolf in sheep's clothing what are you causing you're just the wolves wanting me to leave wanting me to leave the flock unguarded so you can have them no and i i'm gonna tell y'all what people tell me i'm crazy for the stuff i preach and say they're coming they're like they're coming to get you man you must be high on the list you know what i say come on you win nsa antichrist whoever else muslims take your best shot put like i've said before put my head in the guillotine put an ak-47 in my head
lock me up in a prison i i'm not gonna stop and then if you kill me i'm coming back with him on a white horse and i'm just going to be pointing at him saying this is important to jesus and he about to hurt you amen i'm with him touch me at your own peril you know god loves his children let me tell you there's nothing nothing god won't do or can't do for his child his leader that's loyal to him be lower oh yeah you'll go through some tribulation you'll go through some trials you'll go through some rejection you'll go through some hatred you'll go through some some some tough spots but those are the people who get the promise i will never leave you no forsake you never seen the righteous forsaken or a steep begging bread seen the wicked forsaken plenty of times right so he's preaching good now now look we get on down look what he said he tells people don't teach any other doctrine now that this means that he was telling he told timothy to address elders leaders teachers preachers in ephesus who were teaching the church you all understand we just read over this sometimes we don't pause and think and he says now the end of the commandment is terribly out of a pure heart of a good conscience and a faith unfined or without hypocrisy from which bomb having swerved or gone aside have turned aside into vain jingling that just means random talk yet they are desiring to be teachers of the law or the word of god understanding neither what they say nor where they affirm but we know that the law the word of god is good if a man use it lawfully knowing this that the law is not made for a righteous man but for the lawless and disobedient and for the ungodly and for sinners and for unholy and profane for murderers of fathers and murderers of mothers for man slayers for whoremongers and for them to defile themselves with his mankind which is a sodomite [Music] for men stealers for liars for perjured persons and if there be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine so we're not even out of chapter one and he's already mentioned doctrine twice oh but it's not important it's not important whether you're a calvinist or an armenian
really both can't be right one of us is wild and guess what i'm not afraid nor ashamed nor tilted to say calvinism is a big pile of horse dog from the devil being fed the saints and destroying souls and that's all five points right down to what's third only say the regional security no matter how you live i'm and i'm hearing it everywhere now but listen to what he calls sound doctrine he says guess what if you want to live let me read it look it says if you want to live as lawless this will be no law no restraints no nothing you obey in your life you want to do what you want to do and you're disobedient to god you're ungodly he said you're you're sinners you're unholy you're profane your murder is a father murderers and mother man slayers you know you're pro-abortion you're for home your hair monger you're just full of lust and fornication and all you're about is sex all the time he says for them that defile themselves with mankind and yes in the greek that's mean sodomite means you like to have sex men with men women with women for men singers you want you like to kidnap people a lot of people you perjure yourself means you'll lie under oath you don't even care and he says if there'd be any other thing that is contrary to sound doctrine so he's saying that if you live this way you're contrary to sound doctrine so sound doctrine of the prophetic leader that's hearing from god and reading by god will call you away from those things he'll expose those things he'll tell you that that's air that's deception that's wickedness come out from that you can't live like that you can't do those things and inherit the kingdom of god that's what he said ephesians 5. and guess what you know i hate to keep harping on this but idolatry is one of those things [Music] praying to mary is idolatry bowing in front of a statue of mary praying to pope john paul ii and getting a miracle is idolatry and it's a demonic miracle i'm about to address that too and being a protestant preacher
and talking about you love saint francis of assisi shows me that you have departed from the faith i don't care what you didn't pass why do we why why do we seem to forget in the church world that solomon had god appear to him twice gave him an anointing that had with more wisdom than any man had ever lived except for when jesus came as god in the flesh [Music] and you can read how this man was anointed as king of israel he built the temple i mean god even said he wouldn't let david build the temple no your son is going to blow so he was hand picked by god to be the king to build the temple hand-picked to reign over israel's greatest time of prosperity and blessing and it said solomon loved many strange women foreign pagan ungodly wicked witches and idolaters and said he loved them and he clung to them in love and he kept lusting for more and lusting for more until he had 700 wives and 300 concubines you know what that was a fancy way of saying he was a he was a very very dedicated whoremonger now what's even worse the bible clearly tells us he said that his wives turned his heart away from the lord and that this once anointed great man built temples in jerusalem and throughout israel to molech to ashtareth to chamos and literally participated in human sacrifice one of the most evil things a man or woman could do people would freak out by saying i say a plan i don't believe solomon's in heaven we'll get on that we can get on that later now let's look at something else we got to get on over to it here we go second chapter verse 18 [Music] paul says discharge i commit unto thee timothy according to the prophecies which went before only that thou by the midas war a good warfare holding faith and a good conscience which i'm having put away concerning faith have made shake the shipwreck rather of whom is harassing alexander whom i have delivered under satan if they may learn
not to blaspheme we're not even out of chapter one and we're putting folks at the church for teaching error that's what delivering to satan means but i want to i want to define this right here we read over these words faith the word faith there jesus twice down there y'all with me now i'm going to give you the greek definition of the word faith salute from the strongs and i want you to listen to it it's 4102 in the strongest greek dictionary it is the greek word pistus p-i-s-t-i-s and here is the greek scholars definition of this word what the greeks meant by this word okay here's what he says persuasion i.e credence here's what i want you to really get moral conviction of religious truth moral conviction of religious truth or the truthfulness of god or a religious teacher y'all stay with me do i need to back up and repeat that for those of you taking notes prescription i.e credence i'm reading it just like it's written in the strong moral conviction of religious truth or the truthfulness of god or religious teacher especially reliance upon christ for salvation reliance upon christ for salvation and constancy in such profession also the system of religious gospel truth itself [Music] the system of religious gospel truth i'm going to say it again the system of religious gospel truth itself and then several words assurance belief believe
faith and fidelity and what does fidelity mean right staying faithful right we've heard the term infidelity right that means you cheating you're not faithful to your spouse fidelity means you don't cheat now let's think about this for a minute this word faith here is not just the belief in jesus it means so much more than that it means to believe the whole system of religious truth in the word of god in the gospels to believe it all heaven hell speaking in tongues baptism the holy spirit healing jesus is the only way to heaven you have to repent turn from your sin to be forgiven it's repentance for the remission of sin you get what i'm saying it's the whole truth all of the truth or none of it if you depart from the word of god in any part i don't care if you tell me you believe in jesus [Music] you have departed from the faith the faith is the whole ball of wax y'all it's the whole enchilada you don't get to pick and choose when am i making stuff up here no right so when you think you read over this word look at what he said here when he said in verse 5 now the end of the commandment is charity out of a pure heart of good conscience and of faith and fiend from some from rich son having swerved or turned aside into vaingenuine he said look they desire to be teachers of the law they don't even understand what they affirm right and he goes on to say correct look at verse 19 he says faith in a good conscience which some having put away concerning faith have been made for right the word i looked all this up i thought i looked up at every one of these words they swerved away the word swerved there means that they allow themselves to be led astray to be blown off course and then to be destroyed and sunk from what the faith the whole system of religious truth of christianity listen the moment you add mary in
your ship break the moment like rob bell you say there's no hell you're shipwrecked the moment you say just believe in jesus and you're eternally secure you're shipwrecked and i'm just going to add another moment that you don't need the power of the holy ghost and the gifts of the holy spirit you're shipwrecked the moment you say christians don't have the power to cast out demons you're in trouble you understand what i'm saying it's the whole enchilada that jesus listen just some truths about the the return of jesus the second coming is wrecking people there's a bunch of people out there that think that jesus came back in the first century after the destruction of jerusalem that that that was armageddon and everything else and that that it was some kind of spiritual return and now we're in the kingdom of god and jesus is not really returning physically to the earth and it's the church's job to extend the kingdom of god on earth and create some type of utopia that everybody will finally accept no but you wouldn't believe how that's messing people up i see it every day i see the messed up christians every single day but he tells timothy [Music] to war good warfare listen i could go through many scriptures here and let's let's do one more here one more passage and then we're going to do this thing here let me ask y'all something y'all just give me an episcopalian nod this morning paul name names was this letter to be read in public form it certainly has been in the bible for about two thousand years so we all know that hymenas and alexander blew it right we're gonna know about some other folks too amen the lord said listen part of being a prophetic leader let me go ahead and tell you this y'all remember the verse where jesus said what i tell you in secret if we proclaim from the rooftops guess what just so happens right now that not most of us don't have to get up on our roof to tell people things we have facebook we have email we have telephones we have skype see what i'm saying doesn't matter how it goes out it goes out
matter of fact tell you the truth i wish we still had the way it was way back when the public square where people had to come into the public i like it like in mcdonough but see even it's not like it wasn't in the in the old days everybody had to go into town every day for something and town was one block square your general store you had all your stuff and everybody had to go there and and if if you needed to tell the community something that's where you went and you stood in the middle of the public square and you lifted up your voice that will tell you that's how john wesley and the circuit riders and all them when they came to america that's how they spread the gospel the true gospel that's how they planted churches that's how they became what they were in america and it made america this is what most people don't know america wouldn't be here if it hadn't been for john wesley and his boys because they rode hundreds and hundreds of miles on horseback they'd go to every town every little village and they would stand in the court square and they would they would preach the god preach the gospel of god open air boldly proclaiming and thank god john wesley wasn't a calvinist god thank you changed america changed the course of america matter of fact many people give john wesley and his methodist circuit writers in england the credit that the french revolution would have come into england had it not been for christianity being so strong because of john wesley and the methodist circuit riders so i wish we had you could go to the public square there'd actually be people there it's just not that way everybody you know you even go to the courthouse you run in you run out you go you're in your car and you're turning the air conditioner on and the music and you're out of there so it's different now it's hard to get word out to the public unless you do it electronically these days being a prophetic leader in a time of apostasy my bible even chapter four apostasy and my bible was written by a liberal theologian that i would have to cut out most of his uh his foot all of his notes and yet the little heading they put up there apostasy well just by very definition he just said there's no such thing as what saved always saying though he teaches once they've always saved venus notes these people contradict themselves all the time apostasy you can't leave something you don't have okay and it follows this verse and i quoted it last week but we're going to read a little further now the spirit speaking expressing that in the latter times in the last days someone should depart from the faith giving he just produced experienced the
doctors event let me ask when you see the word faith now do you realize how much more it is than just believing everyone's time will not some will not depart saying they don't believe in jesus anymore they'll just depart from the truth sound doctrine some will depart from the faith giving spirits and doctrines of demons or devils speaking lies in hypocrisy having their conscience with a hot iron forbidding to marry and combat commanding to abstain from meat these are two identifying factors here of both roman catholicism and buddhism so here he he says here's what here's a sign of some of these people that are departing from the faith here's what they're going to do celibacy mandatory celibacy for free it sounds familiar identifies what he's talking about and then he sits here forbidding the marriage commanding to abstain from each which god has created receive the thanksgiving and believe that of them which believe and know the truth for every creature of god is good and nothing to be refused if it be received with thanksgiving for sanctified by the word of god in prayer now look at verse six here a prophetic leader he said if you put the brethren in remembrance of these things thou shalt be a good minister of jesus christ nourished up in the words of faith words of faith someone look at me and writing do you see that not just faith not just a belief words of faith there is no faith without the word of god there is no faith without true doctrine of god there is no faith without truth he's closed up in the words of faith and of good doctrine or unto white house attained but refuse profane and old wives fables and exercise not to breath into godliness for bodily exercise profit a little but godliness is profitable unto all things having the promise of life that now is of that which is to come so godliness is profitable this faithful saying and worthy of all exception for therefore we both labor and suffer reproach because we trust in the living god who is the savior of all men especially those that believe these things command and teach let no man despise thy youth be thou but be now an example of the believers in word what you speak what you teach he said in word in conversation in charity in spirit in faith in purity till i come give attention to reading to and to doctrine give attendance to these things reading exhortation doctrine you know the word exhortation means it doesn't just mean encouragement it means to call near to christ
to invoke people to get close to jesus and then he says to doctrine listen you want to know if a demon's talking through somebody they'll make fun of doctrine oh you're in the doctrine it's not important and i look at you and go hmm you're a devil the devil's gotten hold of your heart your mind because that's what he says because that's not what the book says and what is doctrine it's just the systematic belief system that the word of god teaches right sound doctrine always calls you away from sin it always invokes you closer to jesus it tells you the truth if you're in danger that's true doctrine let's get going he says this till i come give attention to reading to exploitation to doctrine neglect not the gift that is in thee which was given thee by prophecy with the laying on of hands of the presentation of the elders meditate upon these things give thy holy or completely to them that by profiting they appear to all take unto yourself and unto the doctrine continuing them for in doing this thou shalt save thy self in them that hear thee now let's go to one more i know i said that was it but that this one just came to my mind and we got to do it so timothy take me to reading do an example and to the doctrine doctrine will either save you or damn you how about that one try that one on for size you doctrine haters out there christian doctor you know why they hate doctrine because doctrine systematically destroys error see somebody come up and tell me the baptism the holy ghost and the evidence of speaking in tongues and the gifts of the holy spirit are not for today and by doctrine systematic study of the word of god i can destroy that false teaching and adore anybody to come and bring that mess to me because they're gonna have one verse that they twist and i'm gonna have a hundred that spells it out in plain language you understand and i'm not ashamed see we gotta we listen as a prophetic leader you you can't be afraid or worried about looking at somebody in their eyeballs or speaking to somebody or writing a letter to somebody or writing an email and saying you
are well oh not in this politically correct society that we live in no i am right and you are wrong and i am right about this because i have 50 systematic hermeneutically correct passages and you have something that you assume to be in unity with me because the word of god is true and every man is a liar amen now let me say this before we read well let's just read it ii only one chapter verse seven for many deceivers are entered into the world who confess not that jesus christ has come in the flesh this is the deceiver and the antichrist look to yourselves he moves away from the deceivers out there that deny jesus he says but look to yourselves look at yourself look among yourselves the church look at yourselves that we lose not the things which we have wrought but we receive a full reward whose fail ever transgressed and abideth not in the doctrine of christ hath not god he that abideth in the doctrine of christ has both the father and the son if there come any unto you and bring not this doctrine receive him not into your house neither been in god's speed or bless his journey or bless his work for he that biteth from god's speed blesses his journey or his work is partaker of his evil deeds don't for doctrine y'all so if a man come to my door a man says he's a christian says he believes in jesus but then tells me there is no literal hell this man is trying to bring to me a doctrine that is against the doctrine of jesus christ because jesus taught on hell very clearly so he's trying to bring a doctor unto me and that tells me that he does not have god for if he had god he would respect god's word love god's word and hear god's word be fiercely dedicated to god's word if a man comes to me and says that we can pray to mary and we can buy the statues and we can pray to dead saints and popes
he doesn't have god it is simple he has departed from the faith and i don't care what his name is or what he's done in the ministry or how many people he helped and y'all know who i'm preaching about and we gotta stop kissing back and putting men on pedestals who had long failing offers a long time ago sorry but i'm sick christian leaders and christian people need some guts you are not to be a christian wimp and folks quit caring about who likes you who doesn't like you if it's over truth so be it amen it's always going to be a dividing line what do you think jesus said matthew in matthew 10 he said thank god that i come to send peace on earth but i came to put a sword down and what is the sword the sword is the word of god the word of god will always divide it will always divide those on the side of truth from those that have gone into error always that's why they don't preach that's why these these hit relevant churches don't preach the word of god you might get one scripture after you've been preaching 20 or 30 minutes used incorrectly most of the time and you might get what why do they not preach the word why do they not spend time in the word of god why do they not give a lot of scriptures because that would show where they're wrong they can't preach it they can't teach it they can't go there they can't explain it they don't want to explain it to their people i get questions why don't my preacher preach on on the second coming on the end time prophecy and all this stuff then why don't they preach on it they can't they don't believe it they're afraid they're afraid of you they're afraid of their congress they're afraid of losing their paycheck they're afraid they don't want to get in the controversy no it's not controversy to preach the bible if me preaching the truth makes you mad you wanna and the church wants to split split so guess what we need to trim the fact then
right sometimes the herd needs to be thin so it can grow right i know that sounds mean last thing a prophetic leader must be prophetic i'm going to give you the verse just write it down proverbs 29 verse 18. a prophetic leader must be prophetic this is what proverbs 29 18 says it says where there is no vision the people perish but he that keepeth the law happy is he now what's interesting let me just go ahead and cut down some of these hip relevant churches these mega churches these corporations that they call churches these mac churches let me just tell you something here's what they think a vision is they think a vision that this verse they use this verse they're going to give to their vision statement okay they think that this is verse means that they can write down the goals of how they want to build a big church and that's their vision and so they use this verse and go well we have a vision you know that's not what this verse says because if you look up the word vision in hebrew you get something quite different it is prophetic vision a man or a woman who is called as a prophet that receives a vision from god about what is going on who speaks from god as an oracle who has seen something from the heavens from the spirit realm from god himself what did jesus say the lord say through the prophet ezekiel when he was rebuking the false prophets in ezekiel 13 and he said that the false prophets they see nothing they speak a vision that comes out of their own heart oh we're going to have this land over here and we're going to have this many by this time and we're going to build this and we're going to do that and that's our vision no you sir are nothing more than a contractor an architect trying to plan a neighborhood a prophetic leader has discernment a prophetic leader is full of the holy ghost a prophetic leader knows things before they're going to happen y'all say that that sounds weird no john 16 he said the holy spirit when he comes to you will show you things to come
he will speak to you and he will show you things to come what were the prophets always doing elijah isaiah jeremiah daniel they were always speaking clearly about israel's idolatry their sin their sexual immorality their their watered-down weak religion they were always calling them to come back to god with all of their heart with all of their soul with all of their mind and their strength they were always tearing down the idols and rebuking the idols they were always challenging the status quo they would challenge the idolaters to their face they would challenge them in public the prophets were always turning people back to the word of god and putting the word of god in full view and they were speaking as an oracle inspired by god and knowing things before they happened and discerning the rules and sheep's clothing and confronting the false teachers who were deceiving the people this is what a prophetic leader does see we got leaders y'all in the church but we got very few prophetic leaders and it doesn't mean we have to be a prophet to be a prophetic leader because god can use all of his people but listen i'd love to tell about 90 or more of the pastors in america sit down and shut up because you have not been with god you have not heard from god you are preaching seminars that you probably robbed from somebody else's website i know there's one pastor in town that does that he gets his servants from a website that gives you sermons no a man or a woman that hasn't been with god and heard from god and discerned the times and seasons they're living in has no right to be up speaking to anyone i'll just tell you that junk i listen to you and about made me throw up i'm so sick of the hipsters with their four campuses how watered down can we make it to make everybody happy and what's so bad is you know what because so many pastors have kept the sheep ignorant for so long of the scriptures that most of the sheep don't know that they're being starved to death
they're goat farms and sheep killing farms they're not churches most of them are not i hate to tell you i know y'all think i'm rough example prophetic leader can't you just be nice no no because you know what i know the wrath of the lamb is coming i know the judgment seat of christ is coming as a prophetic leader that must always be in your mind the people you preach to or you teach or you share the word with or a prophetic message that may be their last time to hear anything i love what in the book why revival tarries by leonard ravenhill what he said one of the chapter titles prophets wanted for a day of doom prophets wanted why they want it because they're scarce the day of doom is coming where are the prophets where are the prophetic leaders who are warning where are the prophetic leaders who are confronting where are the prophetic leaders who are calling sin sin where are the prophetic leaders that sing something from god that seen a vision had a dream had a clear word a clear oracle who is speaking with passion because they know that the day of doom is coming and guess what even if it was a hundred years away and it's not everybody's got a day of doom coming it's called death and it can stop any moment and you preachers aren't enough time to flee around with little sleep someone else to encourage you to deal with stress at work it's not my job don't see a psychiatrist if you want to find out how stress at work my job is to prepare you for the day of doom and that's your job amen let's pray thank you jesus father we thank you lord what a terrible terrible and awesome thing all at the same time to be called to preach the gospel terribly wonderful all at the same time
but what a privilege and an honor to be a leader of your people whether we lead two or twenty thousand it doesn't matter to be called and anointed and gifted to be a leader by you lord what a privilege what an honor but what a responsibility so lord this morning now this afternoon as we ordain fivefold ministers to their calling and elder to his calling i pray for the power of the holy ghost i pray that these men and women will be strong and be prophetic like leaders in this time of of week of weakness and deception and error lord you told jeremiah even when he was young that he was called to speak and you would send him to people to speak and you warn him don't be afraid of them don't be confounded or let them confuse you when they come against you stand strong told jeremiah i've made you a defense wall a brazen wall you're a defense city it's better to be on god's side than the majority side amen so those of you will be dating this morning want you to step forward
