and it is true that i love you with an everlast for i have given myself on the cross for your sins i have loved you even before you were born for i have known you before you were formed in your mother's womb i knew you i had a plan for you says the lord and i have a plan for you now says lord i have a plan to show you my love and my forgiveness but that plan means you must turn to me with all of your heart away from every sin away from every distraction away from every idol you must turn to me and give me all of your heart and i have promised if you will give me all of your heart i will give you all of mine for does not my words say draw nigh unto me and i will draw nigh unto you i have promised to draw near you i have promised to heal the brokenhearted to set at liberty them that are bruised i want to heal your broken heart i want to fix your shattered emotions i want to fix your heart and your mind i will forgive you if you will come to me with all of your heart turn from your sin and follow my son i saith the lord thank you lord jesus thank you hallelujah thank you jesus you know i feel that real strong this morning even uh during praise and worship you may be seated this morning we'll get into the word i want you to turn with me to luke chapter four luke chapter four you know the truth of the gospel is that jesus loves us amen that is the truth that he loves us so much that he willingly laid down his life and died on the cross became sin for us so that we could be forgiven of our sins that is according to god almighty the creator that's the greatest act of love that's ever been done ever in the history of the world
that jesus christ the messiah the son of the living god god manifested in the flesh this mystery that we have a hard time grasping with our minds that god became a man lived a sinless life died on the cross for our sins rose from the dead and that through believing and following him that we can be forgiven that our broken heart can be healed that our emotions can be healed that every wound from our past and our childhood can be healed this is the gospel but let me say this there is there is something in the way no you'll hear people you'll hear preachers talk about god loves us and that jesus died for us and all of that is true but there's a big part that's being left out today because there's this there's this ocean of god's love and healing and forgiveness that he wants to give us but he says there's something you have to do there's something that i have to do to get all of that and this is the problem we tell people there's preachers on tv there's preachers in churches this morning they tell people basically they just say god loves you he loves all of us and they almost make it sound like everybody's going to heaven they almost make it sound like everybody has access to this forgiveness and and and truly they do have access but for some of us there are these big obstacles in the way some of us it is sin it is rebellion it is disobedience some of us it is simply an unwillingness to give everything to god to truly surrender our lives 100 and say i will no longer do my own will i'll no longer follow my own plans i'll no longer try to do it myself but i surrender god all of me and this stands in the way of experiencing the love and the healing and the deliverance that jesus wants us to have folks let me say this yes is jesus coming back one day here soon to judge the wicked and to judge the earth and are many people going to be thrown into hell forever yes that is a sad reality but that has never been god's first choice for anyone that's why the scripture says in second peter 3 9 that the lord is not willing that any should perish but that all should come to repentance god wants everyone to come to repentance the problem is is that the preachers and the churches and many christians have quit preaching the very thing that will get the obstacles out of the way of people's lives they've quit preaching repentance and they and most people don't even know what that means anymore
they think a lot of people think it means feeling sorry for what you've done guess what everybody feels sorry for what they've done they've done even bill clinton felt bad about what he did but he didn't change his ways you see it's not about feeling sorry that your sins messed up your life or that you got caught it's about what are you going to do with how god feels about it now i want to read some things this morning because basically i don't even know what to call this this morning um the gospel preaching the gospel i don't know but in luke chapter four this is when jesus had just he'd been baptized by john the baptist he'd been in the wilderness tempted of the devil 40 days he came back and it says in verse 14 we'll start reading there and jesus returned in the power of the spirit into galilee and there went out of fame of him through all the region round about and he taught in their synagogues being glorified of all and he came to nazareth where he had been brought up and as his custom was he went into the synagogue on the sabbath day and stood up for to read and that was delivered unto him the book of the prophet isaiah and when he opened the book he found the place where it was written the spirit of the lord is upon me because he has anointed me to preach the gospel to the poor he has sent me to heal the brokenhearted to preach deliverance to the captives and the recovering of sight to the blind and to set at liberty them that are bruised and to preach the acceptable year of the lord and he closed the book and he gave it again to the minister and sat down and the eyes of all them that were in the synagogue were fastened on him and he began to say unto them this day is this a scripture fulfilled in your ears now before i read any further in this i just want you to see this is what jesus came to do he came to preach the gospel what is the gospel the gospel is simply simply this we are all sinners we are all lost we are all in need all of mankind we are all in need of the forgiveness of sins because we have all broken god's law and that no good deed we could do could save us in and of itself we couldn't be good enough we could never be good enough because we have all broken god's law so god had to send his only begotten son to die in our place to pay the penalty for our sins even though he didn't have to and he came and he did that he became the sinless spotless lamb of god the sacrifice to shed his blood and the bible teaches only the blood of jesus washes away sin
not buddha not muhammad not karma not krishna nothing only the blood of jesus there had to be a sacrifice for sin and so jesus became that sacrifice and because he was the holy spotless son of the living god death could not hold him even though he willingly tasted of death for us and he rose from the dead three days later because he is life itself that's why he told mary and martha i am the resurrection and the life i don't even understand people who don't want hope of eternal life who don't want to make sure that they have it man i want to make sure how about you i want to be sure i have it i don't want to just guess right i don't want to just think and that's one thing that's beautiful about jesus this thing is not about religion there are a lot of people that believe a lot of things but if you really turn to the creator of heaven and earth to the one true god jehovah yahweh elohim if you turn to him and his son jesus christ he will let you know that you are saved you will have an experience called being born again the holy spirit will come in you and he will wash you and cleanse you and you will feel the peace of god and the power of god and you will be changed it's nothing you have to guess about it's nothing you have to wonder about if you truly meet him and turn to him and meet him you will find out that you can know the creator of heaven and earth that is good news see the the short definition of the gospel is good news what is the good news you can know that you know that you know that you know that jesus is real that he is who he says he is that he did what he what the bible says he did and that we can trust him for all eternity we can trust him in the good times and in the bad times we can trust him to be our comforter and our healer and our deliverer and everything we need amen he is the messiah you guys i think there's there's not enough we need to focus back again on who jesus is amen and what he wants to do and it's listen it's out of his great love jesus wants listen he wants everybody to be saved he desires everybody to go to heaven forever he wants every person that's ever been born he wanted them to come to him the problem is he gave us a free will he gave us a free will we're not robots he doesn't make anyone love him or follow him or obey him but listen it's out of love
and see the one of the one of the things and you guys have heard me say this before that that god's sacrifice and demonstration of love for us was so great that to turn from that to reject that to try to do it some other way is the greatest sin you can commit you hear me it's not homosexuality it's not drunkenness it's not murder the greatest sin is looking at what god did on the cross for your sins his love his desire to save you giving us a bible that he had many different people right over centuries giving us prophecies that are coming to pass left and right willing to willing to forgive us even though we don't deserve it we're all horrible wretched evil people and he wants to forgive us and he wants to save us and he wants us to be with him forever and and to say no to that no thank you i'm gonna do it my way or i'd rather stay in some sexual sin or i'd rather chase after money instead of following after god or i'd rather put some relationship ahead of of god or whatever it may be see to me folks jesus is worth it he's worth he's worth leaving everything in that world you know billy painter my my former college roommate he knows that i had it all the modeling career the tv career the movies i was going to be rich and famous i could have had everything the world had to offer and i do not regret walking away from that and giving my entire life to jesus that's right one day i'm gonna have not just what i have now in him but for all eternity in heaven and the earth then the bible says the meek shall inherit the earth one day i'm going to get heaven and i'm going to get everything that they kept from me here on this earth anyway amen let me get heaven and earth right but listen there's something in the way see there's a gospel being preached out there that's not the gospel jesus it's only half of it y'all hear me it's only half of it and if i didn't tell you both parts then i would be a false false teacher i'd be a false preacher and this is the thing let me just say it this morning it's not enough to just believe in jesus oh boy it's not enough to believe in jesus it's not enough to go to church once in a
while it's not enough to give your tithes and offers it's not enough to be baptized it's not enough to sing in the choir you can be baptized 15 times have a choir robe on and die and go to hell and a lot of people are a lot of church folks are convinced that they're ready to go to heaven and they are not right now here's the here's the kicker let's go go to mark well let's see maybe we won't well let's go to luke 15 first since we're in luke hang on a second let me pull out my notes real quick there's a verse for some reason i can't remember now where it is ah that's it mark nine let's go to mark nine first then we'll come back to luke mark chapter nine tell me when you're there mark chapter 9 verses 10 through 13. now here's something jesus said okay i'm in totally the wrong place what is going on with me today i put down the wrong reference all right y'all see it even happens to me sometime i'm just totally off well i got it written right here somebody will have to find it for me i'm i'm lost anyway this is in mark somewhere and it says that it came to pass as jesus said at meade in the house behold many publicans and sinners came and sat down with him and his disciples and when the pharisees saw it they said unto his disciples why edith your master with publicans and sinners but when jesus heard that he said unto them they that behold need not a physician but they that are sick but go ye and learn what this meaneth and i will have mercy and not sacrifice for i am not come to call the righteous
but sinners to repentance now did you notice something there real quick where was jesus hanging out he was hanging out with publicans and sinners right he was eating with them but did he say i just came to tell these folks that i love them is not what he said right matthew matthew 9. i don't know why i wrote down mark 9. anyway matthew 9 he said that he said what i came now think about this y'all listen real close if jesus said his purpose i came not to call the righteous but sinners to repentance now if if jesus said that and he did how important is that y'all with me all right now let's go to luke 24. luke 24. you don't have to follow me we'll move quite a few places this morning luke 24. we're going to start reading here this is after jesus rose from the dead appeared to his disciples verse 44 and he says when he sat down and ate with them and he said this and he said unto them these are the words which i spoke unto you while i was yet with you that all things must be fulfilled which were written in the law of moses and in the prophets and in the psalms concerning me then open to either understanding that they might understand the scriptures and he said unto them thus it is written and thus it behoove christ to suffer and arise from the dead the third day and that repentance and the remission of sin should be preached in his name among all nations beginning at jerusalem so this is the command that jesus gave to his disciples he said all things had to be fulfilled concerning me that were written in the law of moses that were written in the prophets that were written in the psalms and then he said this that repentance and the remission of sins should be preached now i'm going to give you the definition of repentance from from the greek the original greek language everybody you know we've covered this before but i'm going to give it to you again all right here is the definition from the greek it's the greek word metanoia and this is important remember because the greeks the greeks they had much deeper meanings not that they're different meanings than we have in english but they just were deeper they were more descriptive okay and this is what it says the the word used in the bible for repentance is the greek word metanoia and this is what it means it means compunction or feeling guilt
that includes reformation or a reversal of one's actions you're with me on that shall i say it again it means compunction right which the word compunction means to feel guilt for something but that it includes reformation which a reformation means to totally change it means a reversal so literally what this word means it means to feel the guilt or the conviction for what you are doing wrong the sin you are committing but then to be willing to turn away from it to change your behavior to change your actions and that is what repentance is and jesus said that he didn't come to call the righteous but what sinners to repentance then we read here in in luke where he said when he sent them out to preach the gospel he said he sent them to preach repentance and then the remission of sins repentance is the absolute requirement for being forgiven if you want you cannot be forgiven do you hear me if you won't repent you cannot experience the love and the mercy of god it is an absolute biblical condition that god laid out that you have to be willing to feel the guilt of your sin and to be willing to give it up turn away from it and follow jesus with all of your heart that means if you were a drunkard you quit being a drunkard that means if you are a homosexual you get out of the homosexuality that means if you're an adulterer you quit committing adultery that means if you're in pre-marital sex that means you quit committing premarital sex that means you turn away from it you reverse your behavior you change and you start walking with god amen for the hindu they'd have to stop praying to vishnu or khalid for the roman catholic they need to quit playing to mary and other saints and get the statues and the that they pray to out of the house you see what i'm saying you repent it doesn't matter if it's idolatry if it's sexual immorality whatever it is you've got to say god i'm leaving this i'm walking away from it i'm giving you my life now does that mean you will never see it again once you become a christian no but what does that mean it means that you turn away from a careless life of indulging those things see there's a difference in falling in a sin and living in one
and this is i don't know why most of the church world can't get this in their heads it's different falling into the sin of adultery versus staying in adultery or in adulterous relationships for years on end see this is what people say well david king david committed adultery yes he did he committed adultery but he didn't keep on committing it and the bible says that he cried out in psalm 51 god have mercy on me a sinner forgive my wickedness i have sinned against you god and you only and guess what david we have no record of david ever doing that again but there's so many people say well i can be i can commit adultery i can ask god to forgive me and then they keep living in adultery that is not repentance and they are deceived because there is no forgiveness unless there is repentance see this is why homosexuals cannot be said you want to know why you can't get anywhere witness into talking to a homosexual because they have justified their sin they have justified it while i was born that way one lie god understands lie number two here's the issue they can never be saved until they change their attitude and belief about it until they accept god's feelings about it that it is sin it's an abomination god hates it but god loves them and wants them to be saved until they can get that right in their heads they can never be saved because the first act of repentance is changing your mind feeling the guilt accepting the guilt for what you've done wrong admitting it right you got to be honest god loves honesty doesn't he he doesn't care what we've done and that's the beautiful thing the good news is god will forgive us if what if we repent if we confess it and turn away from it right well i'm having a hard time back on now i want to go to something else here i want to show you something look how jesus i want to show you how jesus dealt with people all right let's go to mark chapter 10. just to prove what i'm saying y'all don't mind me proving it do you i've had a rough week i almost didn't think i was going to be able to preach this morning all right
are you learning something though all right all right mark chapter 10 we're going to look at verse 17. on down read this little story it says that when he was gone forth into the way this is jesus there came one running annealed to him asking him good master what shall i do that i may inherit eternal life now that's a good question amen he must have recognized jesus was the messiah he must have recognized that jesus knew the way to eternal life so he's on a good path here he's on the right road and he manages to get to jesus personally face to face and to have this conversation amazing all right so he says good master what shall i do that i may inherit eternal life and jesus said unto me why callest thou me good for there is none good but one that is god and i think that was jesus puzzle question so are you saying i'm god do you believe that you see what i'm saying but anyway look what he said to him jesus said you know the commandments do not commit adultery do not kill do not steal do not bear false witness defraud not honor your father and mother and the man answered and said unto him master all these have i observed from my youth now look at verse 21 then jesus beholding him that must mean jesus must have paused for a minute and looked at this man and it says jesus beholding him loved him loved him here's love y'all want to see love love didn't say wow you're a great guy wow you're you know what you're on your way son you you have eternal life you just don't know it is that what he said said jesus behold him loved him and he said one thing you lack one thing's keeping you from this y'all hear me one thing you lack go your way sell whatever you have give to the poor and thou shalt treasure in heaven and come take up the cross and follow me and he was sad at that saying and went away grief for he had great possessions and jesus looked round about and said unto his disciples how hardly shall they that have riches enter the kingdom of god but here's what i want to get across to you did jesus say wow you're a good guy wow you've been you've been a moral person you've been good enough to get into heaven know what jesus did love looked at him love looked at him and and listen that means that jesus wanted this man to understand jesus wanted this man to have eternal life do you all understand y'all agree with me jesus wanted this man to have this but he knew that he couldn't lie to him
he knew that there was one thing in this man's way and it was the love of money it was his money was his idol it was more important to him than anything else and we know this because when jesus said go sell everything get rid of everything come take up your cross and follow me and you will have treasure in heaven and you'll have eternal life you'll have it all son the man became sad and walked away listen to me telling the truth to people doesn't mean you're going to get everyone converted if jesus couldn't win everybody we're not going to win everybody and see let me tell you something says this man was sad i'll tell you another thing that happens to folks when you tell them the truth they get mad this week i told the roman catholic lady the truth love her grew up with her and her husband went to high school with she was best friends one of my girlfriends but for weeks probably a couple of months god kept telling me this is what i want you to tell her and i told her and she lost it even tried to get me fired at work but you know what bottom line is i told her praying to mary is idolatry and idolatry is a sin the bible says will keep you out of heaven never in the scriptures are you instructed to pray to mary or an angel or any other dead saint never never did jesus say to do that never did any of the apostles say to do that never did any of the prophets say to do that and they plainly said if you do it you are an idolater there is no difference between the roman catholic praying to mary and the hindu playing the kali or vishnu it's the truth but it makes people mad because they have idols that they've christianized oh she got furious but you know what i believe i'm probably the only person that's ever told her the truth in great detail and with the scriptures folks listen to me if you're going to tell people the truth the truth now hear me the truth they need it's and i said this that tuesday night at the bible study the truth they need if somebody is into fornication and
sexual sin the truth they need is that they need to know they've got to give that up and to follow jesus that's the thing they lack if it's like this guy and money is their idol and they're chasing after the world more than they're chasing after god and trying to be a success in the world and lying and cheating and stealing and you know and cutting corners trying to be a success then guess what it's time for them to stop all that and follow jesus amen you get what i'm saying the gospel to you or to you or to you may be different than me this man jesus looked at one thing you like one thing i hope this man repented later but we have no record of that can you imagine this man being in hell for the last 2000 years knowing that he stood face to face with jesus christ and jesus told him exactly what he needed to do to be saved and it was a little more than just believe that i'm the messiah right let's go to another one we'll we'll go to a good one john chapter four here's here here's the good response i love this this story here john the gospel of john chapter 4 verse 1 when therefore the lord knew how the pharisees had heard that jesus baptized a maid and baptized more disciples than john though jesus himself baptized not but his disciples he left judea and departed again into galilee and he must needs go through samaria and then cometh he to the city of samaria that is called which is called sychar near to a parcel of ground that jacob gave to his son joseph now jacob's well was there and jesus therefore being weary with his journey set us on the well and it was about the sixth hour or it was about noon time and there cometh a woman of samaria to draw water and jesus saith unto her give me to drink for his disciples were gone away unto the city to buy meat they went to get lunch i love that then saith the woman of samaria unto him how is it that thou being a jew ask his drink of me which i am a woman of samaria for the jews have no dealings with the samaritans so jesus already broke a barrier here he broke a racial barrier you know a religious and racial issue he he he decided i'm going to talk to her see here's the thing some people you got to know you're going to upset them the moment you talk to them you're going to break some barrier down you've got to break the ice somehow
and you've got to accept the fact that some people are going to get mad and some people aren't going to like what you have to say but you do it anyway right so jesus broke the eye so she couldn't believe he was talking to her and look at what verse 10 jesus answered and said unto her if you knew the gift of god and who it is that saith to thee give me to drink thou would have asked of him and he would give him the living water oh boy if you here's the here's jesus love coming out if you knew the gift that has been given to you the fact that you're sitting here with the messiah and you don't even know it pretty powerful stuff and the woman said to him sir you have nothing to draw with and the well is deep and winston has thou that living water art thou greater than our father jacob which gave us the well and drank thereof himself and the children and his children and his cattle and jesus answered and said under whosoever drinketh of this water shall thirst again but whosoever drinketh of the water that i shall give him shall never thirst but the water that i shall give him shall be in him a well of water springing up into everlasting life and the woman said to them sir give me this water that i thirst not neither come hither to draw now i want you to see what jesus did here jesus immediately shifts the conversation away from physical things and starts talking about living water and eternal life boy who doesn't really want eternal life go out and ask anybody do you want to live forever do you want to go to heaven everybody wants to go to heaven everybody if there's a heaven they say and even if they doubt if there's a heaven i want to go there well that's good everybody wants to go to heaven this woman said give me this water that i don't have to drink anymore right give me this water it's going to give me eternal life now did jesus say okay sure here it is no jesus started doing the pesky little things we preachers do he started pointing out her sin and what was keeping her from this the very next thing he said was verse 16 jesus saith unto her go call your husband and come here and the woman answered and said i have no husband she lied in a way she said i have no husband and jesus said unto her thou hast well said i have no husband for thou hast had five husbands and he whom thou now has now is not thy husband in that said is thou truly oh boy and the woman saith unto him sir i perceive that thou art a prophet see here we go what was jesus trying to do what was
this woman's problem her problem was men back in that time having five husbands that sounds like today it was almost unheard of back then this woman had an issue right and obviously maybe you know what we all have different reasons for our sin maybe she was a hurt broken woman looking for love and trying to trying to find something in men i don't know but guess what no matter what her reasoning was it was still sin it was still adultery and it was still something that if she didn't catch a hole that she needed to get out of it then she would be lost so jesus points out her problem and immediately she goes this man the prophet and you know what they understood about prophets back then prophets were around to expose your sin and secret sins even yeah sometimes god tells us prophets what is going on in secret but regardless of whether he tells us or not he knows and here's one thing you can be sure of the holy spirit will always if the holy spirit's talking to you everybody listen to me look this way if the holy spirit is talking to you and there's something in the way of your relationship with god i assure you that if it is the holy spirit he will point it out to you now you can try to quiet him and and turn the tv on or whatever you want to do you can try to quiet him but that's your conscience going when are you going to deal with this that's the holy spirit say when are you going to remove this this obstacle that's in the way between you and god when you're going to get it out but if you want to know a true a true pastor a true prophet a true evangelist a true christian who loves you will if they're being led by the holy spirit sometimes have to come and point it out to you because you're not listening i've had this happen many times people don't like it but i've seen both examples so jesus points out this woman's sin right i love how when you point out somebody's sin and they start trying to have a conversation about religion you know she she immediately goes i perceive you are our prophet our fathers worship in this mountain and you say that in jerusalem is the place where men
ought to worship so she brings up a religious controversy right and jesus said unto her woman believe me the hour cometh when you shall neither in this mountain nor yet at jerusalem worship the father you worship you know not what we know what we worship for salvation is of the jews but the hour cometh and now is when the true worshipers shall worship the father in spirit and in truth for the father seeketh such to worship him god is a spirit and they that worship him must worship him in spirit and in truth and the woman saith in him i know that messiah cometh which is called the christ and when he has come he will tell us all things and then jesus said i that speak unto thee am he now this woman left her way and she went into the city of samaria and became a great evangelist because she believed now i know you hear me you want to see the great response this woman accepted you know what this man's a prophet he's exposed my sin i know that that there's a prophecy that the messiah is coming and now i know who he is and she went into the city and told everybody amen listen when you really meet jesus when you really really decide to give up all sin and all idolatry when you really are get rid of that one thing or whatever maybe two things when you really get rid of that stuff there will be more joy and more peace and more power and more i mean there's nothing like it in the world and you know what here hear me out even some christians need to be reminded of that because we slip back into things we slip back into lukewarmness and we slip back into tolerating certain things and the lord just said you know what you want the joy again you want the peace again get deal with this right here get it out and follow me amen see that's the good news i'm not going to keep going there's other stories in here where jesus confronted these things there's other places where jesus confronted paul confronted matter of fact paul even had to tell the galatians the church of galatia he had to tell them he said have i become your enemy because i've told you the truth sometimes you stir up trouble i i have more christians hate me than unsafe people i hope they deal with that issue before before judgment day right but you know the bible says this ephesians chapter 4. it says this very plainly he said paul instructed us to speak the truth in love and i said it tuesday night in the bible study and we'll say it again you have not preached the gospel to someone the true gospel by just telling them jesus loves them or
jesus died for them if you don't tell them that they have to repent and give up their sin and follow the lord or they can't be saved you haven't preached the gospel amen this is why a lot of tv preachers a lot of tv preachers won't do this because they start preaching like this the offerings start dropping their book sales start dropping they start getting nasty emails and letters from people who are living in sin and and want to still want a preacher to tell them you can live in this adultery or you can live in this idolatry and still go to heaven that's what people want but that is a lie from satan you hear me there are christians right now you all know this conversation nancy told me about this conversation look their people make up their own doctrines so they can keep their sin and think they're going to heaven you better read the book amen you want y'all to know why i preach like this while i preach this stuff two reasons or three number one it was me i know what got me saved amen it wasn't until i was willing to give up my sin and follow jesus that i really found him and got filled with the holy spirit so number one my own experience with god number two after that i actually read the whole book numerous times and i found it for myself i didn't trust the tv preachers to build my theology and even some of the preachers of big churches in this town i didn't trust them the book the bible itself and number three the reason i preach like this is because i want people to go to heaven and if i don't tell you how to do it then i am a miserable failure as a preacher my whole job is to tell people how to find eternal life if i don't do that right what am i doing and i look at the way jesus did it and i look at the way the apostles did it and i am ridiculed by other pastors for just preaching it the way they did listen i i i have a sneaky suspicion that the whole roman catholic church in this town is angry at me i don't care bring it
we'll have a discussion in the public square somewhere well i'll debate you in public on television i don't care amen the truth is the truth but it's not because i'm mean or hate people you preach the truth because you love people and want them to make it you want them to know the love of god you know i had to be willing to upset my family at times to tell them the truth you know my own mother before she got saved cussed me out my brother and i just cussed and hated us and ridiculed us and mocked us because she wanted to live in her sin she wanted to drink and party and keep on with that but the holy spirit smacked that down and finally broke that down and my mom got saved but you have to be willing to take the heat because you love people and i'm not talking about just go out there and be mean but you got to tell them if something if you see somebody you work with somebody or somebody in your family or somebody around you and you know the bible said to preach the gospel to the whole world and we're supposed to preach the gospel and you see somebody and you know that some you know the obstacle that's in their life and you don't tell them this is the thing that will keep you from heaven you've got to get it out to be saved then you don't love them don't tell me you love them you don't jesus loved people enough to tell them if there was one thing in their life that would keep them out of heaven one thing you lack man that guy was really ahead of most of us most of us have more than one thing right so many people here's my my final thought love people enough to tell them the truth the whole truth and nothing but the truth the love of god the mercy of god the wrath of god there is a heaven and there is a hell amen let's pray thank you jesus hallelujah thank you heavenly father lord i come to you today and lord you know where everyone is in this room lord father i come to you in jesus name and i just pray that you will touch everyone and that today this morning god even as as we've been going through the scriptures that you have illuminated in
people's heart may be things that are beginning to be obstacles or have been obstacles in their life and that they have not surrendered to the lordship of jesus christ and and truly surrendered all father i pray in the name of jesus i don't care if it's young or or old or anywhere in between father i ask you to do your work in this i ask you to do your work on people listening to this podcast and or this audio message lord i ask you to do it now that they will give up that thing that sin that idol that blockage and they'll receive your love and your forgiveness that is through the cross and the blood of jesus christ or i don't care if they're a muslim listen to this in istanbul turkey they can give up the false god allah and know jesus christ as savior and lord father we thank you we thank you for this right now with everybody's head bowed and eyes closed i'm going to say this this is for this is for anyone that needs it this morning if you if you've never truly repented and made jesus lord of your life i'm gonna give you an opportunity to do that if you're a christian and you've slipped into some sin and that that's become an obstacle between you and the lord it's time to repent and it's time to get that out of your life now the reason we give altar calls is because i found out over 25 years of doing this that it's a powerful thing and that we should confess jesus and our faults even before one another satan loses power when we get things out in the open when we do things publicly in church and it's powerful when you're willing to step up in front of other people and say god i need your forgiveness i want them to pray for me i've seen more people be touched by the power of god when they were just willing to take a few steps so this morning as we play this song for a minute if you need to repent this morning and i won't get you to say what it is out loud i'm not gonna that's not my purpose
