yes god we we acknowledge you this morning jesus god is king of kings and lord of lords god you reign forever on your throne jesus and we give everything to you this morning lord that you that you are worthy god you are the only worthy you are worthy worthy lamb of god that we jesus we love you this morning how we worship you how do you reign forever god we ask for you to pour out your spirit god god as as we are in the end times lord we ask god for for an extra pouring out of the holy spirit god that we may have more power god more anointing god got more authority to walk god in your will god to preach the gospel where where you lead us lord to reach those that you put before us god god we ask for just an extra infilling of the holy spirit this morning lord god the fire god of the holy ghost fall on this church god and on everyone listening this morning god god the fire of the holy ghost fall god anoint us with the oil the oil of gladness god the oil to go forth and preach god and to heal and to seek after you lord god we lift you up this morning god we ask you to bless this service this morning god in jesus name amen god yes lord yeah yeah andy's got a word this morning so we'll give him a moment to say that i am the vine my father is the fine wine dresser you must abide in me if you want eternal life you have to abide in me the lord wants to to know uh let his church know that abide in me apart from me you can do nothing so that's what i felt this morning when i was holy spirit yes amen amen yes lord yes god whoo lord lord just let me get through this now we're gonna [Music] we're gonna look at a subject that is familiar to us this morning a little bit because we are a pentecostal church so we uh we're gonna look at pentecost and uh and the latter rain and god pouring out his spirit in the end times and and what he wants to do and how he wants us to to go and and and be the pentecostal people that that we are called to be [Music] so we're gonna we're gonna start off in acts chapter two
and uh then we'll go to joel and around a few scriptures this morning and we'll just start at verse 1 in acts 2 and it says and when the day of pentecost was fully come they were all with one accord in one place as a church our church especially i believe we are all of one accord that we have all we all of one mind we are like-minded we believe and and teach and preach the the word of god and believe it to be infallible and we are all on the track of deliverance and and speaking in tongues and healings and and all the gifts of the spirit and he said then and suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind and it filled all the house where they were sitting and there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire and it sat upon each of them and that's the fire that we were worshiping and praying for this morning is the fire of the holy ghost to come down and to sit on us that people may see the fire as we go out and the people will see the the truth that we have and the words that we speak are powerful and anointed by god that's the that is pentecost and that's what this church especially i know that's what we seek that's what we desire that's where we want to go is to be like acts like the church in acts here like the church especially in acts 2 right here where we we want the holy ghost to to lead us and guide us and and direct our paths and i'm thankful that we have a church like that that we have a pastor that that leads us and teaches us in that direction it says they were all filled with the holy ghost and began to speak with other tongues as the spirit gave them utterance says verse four and five and there were and then it goes on and talks about there were jews and development of god very nation and they heard all of this and they supposed them to be drunk but then peter over here uh in four verse 14 he says peter standing up with the 11 lifted up his voice and said unto them you men of judea and all ye that dwell at jerusalem be this known unto you and hearken to my words for these are not drunken as you suppose seeing it is but the third hour of the day but this is that which was spoken of by the prophet joel and joel said and it came to pass in the last days which saith god i will pour
out my spirit your s upon all flesh and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy and your young men shall see visions and your old men shall dream dreams and all my servants and on my handmaidens i will pour out in those days of my spirit and they shall prophesy and i will show wonders in heaven above and signs in the earth beneath and then he goes on to talk about about the sun being darkened and and things like that and then we then we get over to verse 31 and [Music] he says he's seeing this before spake of the resurrection of christ and his soul was not left in hell neither his flesh did see corruption this jesus hath god raised up wherefore all we all are witnesses therefore being by the right hand of god exalted and having received of the father the promise of the holy ghost he hath shed forth this which you now see and hear so god poured out his spirit in the first century here this was basically the birth of the church and and pentecost has been around the pentecost is actually in the jewish tradition means the first fruits or the the feast of days and so they celebrated pentecost but 50 days after passover is when the day of pentecost is and that's when the jews celebrated it and 50 days after jesus was crucified god poured out his spirit of course we know jesus was here on the earth for 40 days before he was ascended into heaven and 50 days after jesus died god gave us his spirit that we could walk now why some somewhere down the road the church has gotten away from the holy spirit and gotten away from being walking with fire and anointing and power but i'm here to tell you that that is coming back the church is going to be walking like in acts 2 here when god poured out the holy ghost and when god poured out his spirit god because if we'll go to joel 2 we'll see that where joel was was talking about uh and we'll go joel 2 and we'll start a little bit here in chat in verse 23 it says be glad then you children of zion and rejoice in the lord your god for he had given you the former rain moderately the former rain i believe joel talking here is the former spirit the the spirit that that the jews had walking with god and and before the day of pentecost came on in acts chapter 2
he said have given you the former reign moderately and he will cause to come down for you the rain the former rain and the latter rain and i believe that's coming that's what we're looking for here in the end times and then we'll go over here to verse 28 and here's where peter was quoting from and shall come to pass that come to pass afterward that i will pour out my spirit upon all flesh and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy and your old men shall dream dreams your young men shall see visions and also upon the servants and upon the handmaidens in those days will i pour out my spirit and i will show wonders in heavens and in the earth and blood and fire and pillars of smoke the sun shall be turned into darkness and the moon into blood and you know we're we're from what we teach here in this church and what we believe we believe we're in the end times and we're about to see the tribulation begin and the second coming of jesus and and all this and we also believe that there's going to be an end time revival and that's what this is the latter rain is going to be an end time revival that's coming to the church and there'll be some that accept it and there'll be some that reject it and that's just the way it is i mean there's there's no getting around that but we want to be a church that is in the middle of this revival that's what has been promised to our pastor been promised to us that's what's been promised by god that there'll be an end time revival that will bring many people to heaven of course we already see the scoffers and the ones making fun of us and and saying where is your god and and all this i mean just this week the boy scouts of america have voted to accept openly gay boys into their organization not leaders yet but openly gay boys and that was that was heartbreaking for me being an eagle scout and we're seeing this tremendous departing from from core beliefs even in the boy scouts who claim to be morally straight and reverent towards god and have a godly background in their organization and they have now stepped away from that and so we're going to continue to see people fall away and walk away from the truth but this church i know we are here and god has called us to be a light and a voice crying in the wilderness to the people that are in this community and then this town and in the world because our podcast and our messages go everywhere so we know what we are called to do and it's like that song said we have chosen
your will for our own and god has called us to preach and teach and so what i want to encourage everybody this morning is that pentecost in acts chapter 2 is not just for acts chapter 2. it's for us this morning it's for right now it's for us to have and walk in authority and power and go and do what jesus has called us to do in mark 16 to go into all the world and preach the gospel these signs will follow them that believe right lay hands on the sick cast demons out heal the brokenhearted preach deliverance to the captives that's what this church is called to do and i want to encourage us this morning to know that god is fixing to pour out his spirit in a greater measure in the latter rain that joel just talked about there is more to what we have we want more than what we have it's time to stand up and go get it that's the only way we can find it is to go get it god's not just going to give it to us it's like with the prayer language speaking in tongues the holy ghost is not going to move your lips and make you speak in tongues he's going to give you the ability and then you have to step out in faith and do it so that's what we have to do in this latter outpouring of the holy ghost that we're about to see and we're about to receive is to go get it is to move our lips open our mouths and preach and the holy ghost will speak for us and that's what we're to do for this church especially is to preach to the christians preach to the unsaved and reach the people in our community and in our world and it's amazing that our little church is reaching the world like we are i mean we have people all over the world listening to our sermons and our podcasts and our sunday morning services i mean we've had people in canada log on and listen to our sunday morning service i mean that's just phenomenal i mean live service somebody in canada i mean we are making steps to reach the people that god's called us to reach but it's also time for us as a body to stand up and go get what god's called us for what god's called us to go do [Music] and let's go to in going down that road let's look at acts chapter four and we'll go to verse 29. and this is uh the subtitle of this little section is that for mine in my book in my bible is the apostles seek courage from god in prayer and that's what we need i believe as a body right now we need the courage to stand up against what's going on in the boy's house what's going on in the secular world
people wanting to defile us for their own pleasure you know they they want us to conform to them instead of them conforming to god and that's just and we need courage this morning i believe to be able to stand against the things that are coming the things that that the apostasy that's coming if you will the the great falling away the you can see it i mean it's it's rampant in our government it's rampant in our country i mean judgment is knocking at the door for america right now because of the the the falling away and the the just walking away from god and we as a body and as a group of believers whether you're listening or or in this room right now i mean we need the courage to stand before these people and preach and not be afraid of being thrown in jail or or even martyred if it be i mean are we ready for that really as a body of christ are we ready to to see the multitudes in heaven that john saw of those that were martyred for jesus i mean have we put thought to that i mean it's it's amazing to me that i mean some of the guys we work with they're i just want to live my life and i don't i don't want to hear all that and y'all are crazy and they say any other fine you know i may be crazy but i'm preparing myself for what's about to happen you know and and whether nuclear attacks happen on the u.s or not i want to prepare for the worst and then make it through if that really happens if it doesn't praise be to god you know if we're raptured out of here before all that happens then hallelujah but i don't believe that's going to be the case as we all know in this room especially so we'll look at uh acts 4 29 and he said and now the lord behold their threatenings he said behold their threatenings and grant unto thy servants that with all boldness they may speak the word so see even in this time they were threatening them and coming against them and and putting peter paul and everybody in jail for them speaking the word of god and so here they are the apostles asking for courage and boldness from god and if they needed it how much more do we need it living in the last days that are that are quickly quickly approaching it says by stretching forth thy hand to heal and that signs and wonders may be done by the name of the holy child jesus and here it is verse 31 and when they had prayed the place was shaken where they were assembled together and they were all filled with the holy ghost and they spake the word of god with
boldness they were filled with the holy ghost the place shook and they spoke the word of god with boldness that's what we need to be seeking that's what we need in our lives is to speak the word of god boldly without fear so we need to seek the holy ghost for a new infilling a new baptism a new fire to fall on us to walk in this world to go out into this community and let me tell you auburn may be a southern town but it is as liberal as it can get i saw a government it was a government governmental textbook that was at anders bookstore that our university professors use to teach government to our students to these students here to people around us and i just looked at the chapter outline and it was pretty well promoting a one-world government and doing away with democracy and doing away with uh capitalism and all this and that it would be the world would be a better place without it i mean that's being taught here in what we would consider a conservative university if that's the case then what's going on at some of these more liberal universities that are out there i mean it is the push for the one world government the push for the antichrist to come is tremendous i mean it's amazing so we as a church have got to seek a fresh feeling of the holy ghost to speak the word of god with boldness and without fear and because this is not going to go away at all and you know there may be some people i know there's people out there but i doubt anyone's listening that holds to this view that you know that the holy ghost is not for the gentiles which you know we are engrafted in now as christians but there there is a scripture we're fixing to turn to that talks about the gentiles receiving the holy ghost because up until this next scripture pretty much everybody that has received the holy spirit has been a jew but for people out there that are listening the holy ghost is for everybody there is no limitations to who can receive the holy spirit there's different levels of receiving the holy spirit when you get saved and holy spirit comes in you to help you with your walk and then there's baptism after baptism after fire a fire of fire from the holy ghost that you can get to help you and to empower you i mean is it crucial that you're baptized in the holy spirit to be saved i know i mean not not what we're talking about
it's extra power that you get it's extra power you can have to walk this walk out so why not seek after it why not want it i mean if you're content with your dull lame backslidden walk with god then i feel bad for you but i know what i know above what i know is that the holy ghost that's in me that i yield to can make give me the power to go and do and stand up here and preach which believe me i'm not a guy that likes to be in front of the crowd i'm a behind the scenes kind of a guy that would rather make this go help make this go and make everybody else's job easier but the holy ghost allows me to stand up here and speak with boldness and sureness and power and that's what we all need that's what we all can have we just got to go get it we got to want it do we want it i mean do we really really want it i mean kids y'all can have it too there's no age limits there's no age requirement you don't have to be 42 inches tall to ride this ride this is awesome and you can have it it's where do you want it do you know how to get it if you don't then we need to teach in our houses in our homes and our families and our church we need to sit down with the kids and teach them how to get it what they need to do i mean the brownsville revival kids laying hands on adults heads and adults hitting the ground because of the power of the holy ghost these kids have i mean that's amazing that a child i mean because it was it jesus said have child like faith they should be the ones having it before us because of their childlike faith they just don't know any different we've got all the baggage you know that we've got to filter through and get to the point of okay i'm ready to surrender now after i've unloaded 14 suitcases worth of luggage you know i mean it's it's it's out there it's available god wants us to have it jesus wants us to have it or he would not have sent him and if he didn't want us to have the holy ghost and the power and the boldness to go out and preach and teach then why did he send him why is there even a third part of the trinity if we aren't meant to have it to go and use it i mean god is an awesome god and jesus is our lord and savior and holy ghost is our comforter and power to go do it
so why are we holding back why do we be timid with our walk i'm guilty i'm guilty of being timid with my walk with preaching and teaching to people why i don't know it's the baggage i haven't unloaded it all yet who knows but we have it to go and do with everybody can have it all you got to do is ask for it call out to jesus in desperation in need go get it [Music] i mean this i'm amazed at myself i mean i'm standing up here i may be talking to y'all but i'm talking to myself i mean i don't walk the walk like i want to i don't spend enough time in prayer like i want to i don't spend time studying like i want to i mean we have families we have obligations we have work and god understands to a point but we do have to put him first and we do have to seek after him and we don't need to be just doing it driving down the road i mean we need to be on our face in our prayer closet quote unquote naked before god laying it all out that he can hear us heal us and use us for what he's called us to do let's look at acts chapter 10 verse 44 and this is since the the heading in mind as the gentiles received the holy ghost it says while peter yet spake these words the holy ghost fell on all them which heard the word oh you want a select few it wasn't just for the leadership in the church or the preachers or the teachers or the sunday school teachers it was for all and they of the circumcision which believed i mean the jews were astonished as many as came with peter because that one the gentiles also was poured out the gift of the holy ghost for they heard them speak with tongues and magnify god then answered peter can any man forbid water that these should not be baptized which have received the holy ghost as well and then he commanded them to be baptized because they were saved i mean you get saved born again filled with the holy ghost you have the power and the authority and the anointing of god to go and do and go and do are we are we willing to sacrifice enough that we can seek god and seek heaven to lay hands on the dead and raise them from the dead or do we think that's a fairy tale that laying hands on the dead person and they rise
that is the power of the holy ghost that is god is it god's will for people to to die yeah do they have to if it's not his will and it's up to the believers that walk closely with god in the spirit to to know and understand what god's will is for this situation and in god and seek god for this person that's dead seek god for this person that's sick and afflicted to lay hands on them heal them of the cancer that is terminal that they only have a couple of weeks to live lay hands on them and heal them from any disease and sickness that is out there i mean that is what god has called us to do as christians as normal christian believers normal i mean do it most of the church world doesn't even understand what normal christianity is i mean what jesus did and jesus is our great example and he said that we are to do what he did even greater so why is what jesus did not normal christianity for us it's because we don't seek the holy ghost we don't seek what god sent us to empower us to do these things i mean we have got to be a people that seek god that seek jesus that seek the holy spirit i mean there is a trinity for a reason and they are not to be separated and they are not to be one used and one not i mean we have the father the son and the holy ghost for a reason and it's time that the church and the church world and everybody that we come in contact with knows why the third person part of the trinity is here for us and for us to use the power that he gives us i mean the latter rain is comes at the late season of the growing period to give them an extra boost of energy and power to produce the fruit to make the crop yield bigger what are we supposed to do with this latter rain the harvest is there the harvest is getting ripe it's almost time to go and collect the harvest but we have to seek the holy ghost to have the power to be the gatherers and we just we need the holy spirit more than ever now than we ever have i mean the end times are the greatest trial and tribulation that's ever come on the earth ever has been or shall be is i believe the way it's put so we need a greater infilling and a latter reign of the holy ghost pouring
out his spirit pouring out his oil pouring out the anointing and the power i mean are we ready to sacrifice to do this it's a realization i'm having to come to i've got to sacrifice more to spend more time seeking god i mean there's no doubts of that for me personally i mean i try to get up at 4 30 in the mornings to pray and study but hello i don't know it was like turn 40 a switch got flipped man i can't get up or nothing nine o'clock i'm ready to go to bed and i could sleep until nine o'clock i don't know what it is but i mean my grandparents even up to the ages 70 years old i don't know they go to bed early and get up at crack and dawn i just i don't know what it is i gotta figure something else out to be able to study and get up and and seek god more because i want more i mean i'm not satisfied with where i am i want more and i hope you all do too i mean there is more to be had there's more to uh for us with god i mean if we ever get to a point where we're comfortable with where we are with god we got to check ourselves because we are headed down the wrong road this so i hope y'all are encouraged this morning i hope that this gives you a little encouragement to to seek god and seek the holy ghost and seek after this latter rain that is coming to make the harvest and the fruit grow even more so that we can be in place to call in the people that god is i mean god doesn't want anybody to go to hell he wants us all all to come to repentance and to the knowledge of the truth is that a reality no but that's his desire that should be ours that should be our desire i mean we pray all the time and we sing songs it says god break our hearts for what breaks yours well that's what's breaking his heart is the people are going to hell and there's people here on earth that aren't doing a thing about it you know and that's where we as a church i believe we are headed that's where god is taking us is to be that light that anointing to try to bring in as many in the harvest as possible because let me tell you it's it's getting scarier out there by the second i mean the war is coming and you know one thing that i did look at and i'll kind of share with y'all a little bit but get some dates here i'm not real good at memorizing dates but uh you know it seems and i talked to pastor about this last night and it seems that right before either right before or right after a
major war happens there's a revival there is a great revival and you know we'll look uh the azusa street revival which basically birthed the pentecostal movement you know there's always been pentecostal there's always been people speaking in tongues i mean since acts chapter two but this azusa street revival birth the pentecostal movement and and it's gone forth and it's ever since then it's been the fastest and biggest and greatest growing segment of the church since that the azusa street revival birthed this it was i mean you could the stories are you could walk down azusa street by this building and i mean they had to call the fire trucks to this building because people would walk by and see flames on it but then get there and there'll be no fire that's the fire of the holy ghost [Music] the cloven tongues as the fire fell in this place and birthed the azusa street birth the pentecost movement as at azusa street well the azusa street revival i'm looking at wikipedia sometimes it's okay and sometimes it's not so it's it began on april the 9th 1906 and continued until roughly 1915. so it then if you look at this okay you look at the pentecostal movement being birthed and it ended in 1915. well from what we teach and believe here about the six trumpets about the seven trumpets the we believe that the first one was world war one correct okay and i think there's something to this what it is exactly i don't know but something about the pentecostal movement being birthed and [Music] the first trumpet being blown happened within the same time frame so we looked at azusa street ended in 1915 but then world war one began july of 1914. so roughly right before the azusa street revival ended world war one began so why why is that i mean why did the pentecostal movement be birthed and then the first trumpet blown it's a good question i mean something i want to dive further into i mean is there a correlation to it it's too coincidental for it not to be but what it is i can't say right off so it so then you know you have war ii happened and was it uh i forgot exactly i mean and then was it 91 the gulf war happened and then brownsville revival started so you
know it's there's a lot either god is trying to save people right after right before millions are going to get killed or he's trying to use the tragedy of war to bring people to him so it makes you wonder is war a judgment is war a wake-up call it should be so where do we stand now with the sixth trumpet war about to happen who knows does the revival happen before or after it who knows we just have to wait and see but one thing's for sure that if the war happens first then the revival that's where we're going to see the latter rain poured out the the new filling of the holy ghost poured out on people that truly seek it i mean the the amount of people that are going to be killed in this war is unlike any we've ever heard ever seen i mean this six trumpet war is going to be massive i mean it's basically going to be all of our previous wars combined and put numbers to that but that's you know that's pretty much what it's going to be like the amount of people killed in this war coming is going to equal be real close to the sa the total number of people killed in all the wars before i mean so where should we be i mean we should be seeking god in our on our faces and and praying for this revival which we do we pray for revival continually in this church it's just a matter of when is it going to happen and are we going to be prepared when it does and that's where seeking god and spending time and and sacrificing for the holy ghost and for the power and the anointing that he's allowing us to have is going to be crucial i mean i know i'm personally i mean this war starts i'm walking away from job and everything and start preaching i mean i know that is what god has called me to do i mean there is no doubt that work job it all ends because when this war starts we don't have much time and it's not going to matter whether i'm ever able to pay my bills or not because there's just not going to be nothing to i mean nobody's going to have jobs really i mean once when the economy crashes and everything goes down what are we gonna have we're gonna have each other and maybe a tent in the woods who knows you know but you know it's just it's not gonna matter anymore and i hope that we're all getting ourselves prepared for that time that's going to come as to when we have nothing but each other and god
and we're having to hunt and fish and and take care of our families without money or or shelter like we've been used to and accustomed to i mean you know what's going to happen to our houses that we owe mortgages on i don't know i'm sure somebody can tell me you know but i don't know i mean is the government just going to come in and take all the houses in the land i mean that's going to be about all they have i mean you know so i said prepare ourselves for what's coming and prepare ourselves for the outpouring of the holy spirit that's about to happen because it is going to be huge i can assure you of that that what god does in this end time with his spirit pouring out i mean in the last days he's going to pour out his spirit and our sons and daughters are prophesied we see that already i mean little faith running around prophesying all the time i mean i mean i know ian's had dreams about different things and places and stuff that's going on in certain places so i mean that is going to start increasing more and more and more and more and we just have to be in a position to recognize it and say yes lord i surrender yes lord we receive that yes lord we are ready to go you've called us we will go so i hope everybody's encouraged this morning and we'll uh we'll end a little prayer right quick and then we'll take up the offering now we just thank you this morning lord god we want to be a church that seeks after you that is on fire for you that is ready and able and willing to go and do and preach and teach where you've called us to lord god you are a mighty god you are awesome god you are the prince of peace the everlasting father the king of kings the lord of lords god we could go on and on and on god we worship you this morning god we ask you for a fresh anointing god a fresh fire god a fresh infilling for us god as a church and as individuals and as a corporate body god we ask for your spirit to burn in us lord with boldness god god and fervency well we thank you this morning god we just ask you to to protect those that are traveling again god and just dean and nancy as they go to see austin and austin as he's traveling lord and sheree and john is there away god we just ask you to protect them lord we thank you for everything that you're doing and the things that you provided us with god we ask you to just be with us this week in jesus name
amen and i also know that there's been a prayer request put in for douglas and uh so paul would you would you pray for douglas and kind of lift up that situation this morning god
