ask you to fill your church fill your church with joy overflowing feel us lord with peace fill us with your love fill us with god just your fire lord i thank you lord for these songs this morning that we had in worship lord come like a a rushing wind a fire again lord i believe you're gonna breathe new life in in us lord breathe you're really breathing new life in us individually and corporately lord i thank you for the gifts of the holy spirit i thank you for the presence and anointing of the holy spirit i thank you lord that you have plans for each and every person in your kingdom you have specific plans and you reveal your will and direction to them father i thank you for that today holy spirit we give you this service it is yours jesus you are lord you are king wow goodness gracious well the lord gave me several things for different people paul was one of them so i guess that's probably one of the reasons for this strange episode but um during praise and worship the lord gave me several things for different people first of all patrick the lord wanted me to say ask you if you're ready to get on your path to be ordained and fulfill your calling and that's partly on me and you but if you're ready he must be ready to get started to get serious no more abstract talking about it it's time to get to doing it um sandra the lord wanted me to tell you he said tell her she is my daughter and not to worry about a thing okay but he is going to work everything out because you are faithful to him and that doesn't mean bad stuff doesn't happen that doesn't mean difficult he didn't have but he is going to work all the details out and you quit worrying about that's what he all right um kevin the lord told me one simple thing for you he said he's going to reward you for your faithfulness i don't know what that means but for your servant
heart and your faithfulness there's a reward coming for you and for paul i guess we'll have to wait on that one but just remind me to tell him later okay all right that was all the lord gave me this morning but uh you guys can be seated and we'll get in the word this morning oh there was one other thing um andy are you what are you doing friday night well i felt the lord lay on my heart that church-wise we need to go out preaching and witnessing on friday night with you and auburn so anybody who wants to go is welcome to go do that on friday night we'll uh eight o'clock all right eight o'clock friday night uh we'll meet at toomer's corner all right and um also on that while we're talking about that um you know we had talked a while back about when we were possibly going to get the building i'll just say this there are some things we want to do we want to get some tracks made and printed up so those of you that wanted to give a little extra for the building maybe the lord let the lord deal with you about giving a little extra and we're going to make some some tracks to take out witnessing some more specific kind of what the lord has us focus on and uh instead of just being kind of generic in our track all tracks you know if they preach the gospel they preach the word they're good but we want to be a little more a little more laser focused on it okay anyway and then don't let me forget to tell paul later poor thing are they okay she feeling good we okay over her there's just a lot going on and we prayed over her and she was fine she was like i'm good but then during worship she told me she goes i'm hot mom i'm hot and i said just you'll be fine i could just keep praying well let's pray everybody for leah right now father in heaven we pray god we ask you lord to bless uh the fricks right now all of them lord silas and josiah and elia paul and marlene but we just pray for healing right now for leah whatever this attack is this sickness coming over her we just pray in jesus name god for your healing power to touch her we rebuke the forces of darkness we rebuke the spirits of infirmity and sickness we rebuke this in jesus name we command it to go from aaliyah and we plead the blood of jesus over her and we pray for her healing now
together as a church we pray for her to be healed and to feel well in jesus name amen amen you okay sweetie all right um during praise and worship the lord gave me several things for for different folks but what he wanted me to tell you and he really laid this on my heart yesterday and i kind of you know got busy and forgot but then he reminded me so it must be important but the lord told me he wants you to prepare to preach your and teach or and even put it in written form your testimony of what we were talking about coming back from miami of the transformation from where you came as a baptist and some of the doctrines you were believed and taught and how how god moved and guided you into different truth and how god moved in in in some of the things you didn't used to believe in but but how god moved in your family with healing and deliverance and the baptism holy spirit i felt that strongly when we were writing just how powerful your testimony is and it your testimony will help a lot of people and the lord wanted me to tell you to to get it in written form we need to make a little booklet out of it really and that you need to get ready to preach that here as well so um anyway testimonies are powerful what god's done in your life um and where you came from and things you believed and what you did testimonies power we overcome satan by the blood of the lamb and what word of our testimony as well our testimony what jesus has done in you where where you started where he's brought you things he's brought you through amen and oh and i needed to tell you that you got to get ready with him on this thing it's not him over here doing this you over here doing this you too will be done i saw you going out from here and preaching in churches from time to time okay it'll happen but it's a team all right what he's called to do is just like nancy what what i'm called to do she is she is involved i mean she is called to be with me in the middle of it it's yeah and but and she is she is truly with me in it all well we welcome those listening by blog talk radio welcome to fire and grace church and we're going to get into the word this morning i already posted it online uh the blog talk links and the title of the message we're going to talk about milk or meat this morning all right
we got a lot of scripture to cover and this is let me just say we're going to continue the series on science and the bible we're we're not done with that at all this is kind of to deal with some problems that have arisen because this sermon series has stirred up some animosity and some uh some definite devils have gotten irritated with this one um but this week and i'm just going to share i want to say this week i'm going to say this month really has been a wild month for me and for nancy in particular in regards to the attacks in the sense of mockery uh reproach false accusations all kinds of stuff that's come from christians i'm talking about you know i i like to tell people all the time people would say want to criticize me sometimes i'm a little too strong i'm too firm i'm too harsh or whatever and i turn people away that turns people away from jesus it's funny because i don't ever upset them really the unsaved people i very few of them ever get uns uh upset with me it's the it's the christian folk they get upset i'm gonna call them the the milk bottle suckers get really upset and we're going to talk about that because i've really discovered in the last few weeks even more how most of christians do not want the meat of god's word they they want the milk and some of them as i'll show you don't even want the milk they've become lactose intolerant to even the milk the milk of the word is just the very basic fundamental doctrines of the bible and we'll see that and some of them don't even don't even want those anymore or they want a few of them and not all of them but there comes a point that you know as a christian you're supposed to grow up and you're supposed to want you know i still drink milk you know that's what you start out as with a baby you drink milk and that's all but then as you grow up and you begin to mature you you know god created you to have teeth in your mouth so you could choose solid food real food meat right [Music] and god uses these metaphors these analogies whatever you want to call in the word to try to teach us something we're going to start here i want you to go with me to so you'll know what i'm talking about let's just go to first peter and look at this verse first first peter chapter 2. everybody with me we got quite a few places to go this morning
none of the critics will be able to say that we didn't preach the scripture this morning all right first peter chapter 2 you're there verse 1 he says wherefore laying aside all malice and all guile and hypocrisies and endings and all evil speaking as newborn babes desire the sincere milk of the word that you may grow thereby so as newborn babes now what does that mean i mean that ought to be obvious that it means someone newly come to the faith in jesus that's just been newly born again they really don't have a lot of knowledge of the bible of the scriptures of god of history maybe they are just newborn it's brand new they've believed in jesus they believed he died on the cross for their sins rose from the dead they believe that that there's a heaven and there's a hell that they are a sinner and that they have to confess their sins and that they're a sinner and ask jesus to forgive them and to save them and when it became real and they realized that they were living in sin they had to repent and turn from that and follow jesus become a disciple the very basic foundation in the gospel they received that and they were born again and they were newborn babes now we all know anybody's had a child knows that when they're you know a baby is born they desire earnestly desire the milk they gotta have it right and they're going to because their stomach small they're going to have to eat frequently right how many times a day every one to two hours i guess something like that because what they're they're they can only handle milk but they got to have a lot of it over a day you know 24 hour period for it to meet their needs okay and i found this when i was born again when i came to jesus and it was real and i was on fire for god and i made up my mind i was going to leave the the sin of the world and the pleasures of the world and all that stuff i was truly desired the word of god i mean i just i just read the bible every day every day i mean it was just reading reading reading reading reading and absorbing you know all that i could and did i know then the things that i know now no but i just kept reading the word kept reading the word i knew and i thank god for the people around me the brother that led me back to the lord and other people that that were serious about god and holy spirit feel that that encouraged me to study the bible and read the bible and read book good books and read good articles and listen to good preaching and teaching i mean i
thank god for it because um you know god god fed me [Music] and so let let's just understand that i'm not going i'm not degrading the aspect of the milk of god's word the very basics i'm going to show you what that is the very basics the fundamentals aspects you know just jesus is lord jesus died on a cross the blood of jesus washes sin away is the only thing that washes sin away and can give eternal life there is heaven there is eternal life there is a hell there is eternal punishment and damnation right [Music] god's word is true inspired by him very fundamental things that are the milk and we need those those are foundational aspects of our faith and our life right jesus said man shall not live by bread alone but by every word that proceeds from the mouth of god so the word of god is important right well let's turn hebrews back up a little bit go to hebrews chapter 5. [Music] i've read this verse or this passage before but we're going to dig a little deeper this morning all right now here's the problem in the church world this this is why we have denominate different denominations and divisions let me tell you why y'all want to know the reason we have different denominations various contradicting doctrinal beliefs throughout the body of christ different churches the reason we're not in unity where paul said in corinthians he said true unity was speaking this all speaking the same thing and having the same mind the same judgment not happening in this what we call the church world but why is that because at some point somebody refused to believe either part of the milk or part of the meat and they decided this is where we stop this is where we set up our tent and we're going to call where we stop and what we believe and our limits on where we're going this is our denomination right [Music] and then so you had another group of people come along that kept reading their bibles asking god to reveal more truth to speak to them to guide them into all truth holy spirit come guide us into all truth right and then another group comes on and realize that this group [Music] the first group they don't want to talk about this subject here but it's in the bible right so then this group says well hey what about this
i'll give you some specific examples in a minute i'm being nice for just one moment and so this the second group goes well well this is in the bible and you won't accept it so we're going to start our little group and we believe this you believe a and b now we believe a b and c but c folks we there's all the way to z and the next church goes well we found this in the bible we found this and god started teaching us this and guiding us into this truth so now we have a and b church we have a b and c church now we have a b c and d church and then a a b c and d church looks down their nose at abc church in a b church and then a b church looks at a b c and d church and goes they're crazy but despite popular belief folks ignorance is not a virtue [Music] i should say despite popular belief and practice ignorance is not a virtue especially for the christian now hebrews chapter 5 did you turn there see paul said there was a problem now in hebrews chapter 5 paul is trying to give them a revelation my friend let's just start with verse one because we want to give the context of this okay because he's thinking about jesus and he's trying to give them some depth of understanding about jesus as the high priest and look what he says he goes for every high priest taken from among men is ordained for men in things pertaining to god that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins who can have compassion on the ignorant and on them that are out of the way for that he himself has also compassed with infirmity and by reason here have he ought to as for the people and that also for himself to offer for sins and no man taketh this honor unto himself but he that is called of god as was aaron so also christ glorified not himself to be made a high priest but he said unto him thou art my son today i have begotten thee so he's talking about jesus being the high priest and he says as he said also in another place quoting the psalms thou art a priest forever after the order of melchizedek who in the days of his flesh when he had offered up prayers and supplication with strong crying and tears unto him that was able to save him from death and was hurt and that he feared and though he were a son yet learned he obedience by the things which he suffered speaking of jesus still and being made perfect he became the author of eternal salvation unto all them that obey him
called of god a high priest after the order of melchizedek now paul is is speaking to melchizedek he gives further discussion of this melchizedek individual in chapter 7 saying he was without father without mother without beginning right or end of life oh wait a minute right so this is a revelation we're talking about something deeper in the old testament scriptures that jesus literally the word of god the second person of the trinity of the godhead was melchizedek in the old testament and he came down having neither father mother nor beginning of days nor end of life so paul is trying to take these hebrew christians here a little deeper he's trying to give him a little meat right why is he doing this because there were questions arising as to is jesus who is jesus even i mean among christians is is he just uh a man is he just the son of god is he god in the flesh is what is you know so paul and the apostles had to by revelation of the holy spirit explain and teach about god deeper things not just that jesus died on the cross for your sins and rose from the dead and that's how your faith and your repentance and is what washes you clean but we we need to understand who god is we need to increase in the knowledge of god imagine that right so paul here is saying you know he's trying to explain this to him so i wanted to give that to you to give the context of this next part of this chapter because look he's talking about this melchizedek revelation that's deep and still to this day freaks out a lot of christians they don't get it right and he says verse 10 is he in the call of god a high priest after the order of melchizedek and then paul adds this of whom we have many things to say and hard to be uttered seeing that you are dull of hearing for when the time you ought to be teachers you have need that one teach you again which be the first principles of the oracles of god and have become such as have need of milk and not of strong meat for everyone that uses milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness for he is a babe but strong meat belonging to them that are of full age even to those who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil we'll talk about that a little bit in a second he says therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of christ the very basics right not that we forsake those he's saying but let's get that down let's get these
basic doctrines of christ down in our souls in our minds in our spirits let's know them like the back of our hand but we need to move on there are other issues and questions and mysteries and things that need to be revealed in the scriptures for the saints to grow up so he's saying look let's get these basics down and let's move on to some deeper things okay now i have the reason i'm saying this this morning is is because because i have christians telling me what to preach or what i should preach or teach you need to stick with things that are just you know basic things that you know will help people get saved you know i'm glad everybody knows what i ought to preach and teach who should i listen to the baptist the methodists the presbyterians the reformed the calvinist the pentecostals the charismatics who should i listen to i'm blown away i i have people come on my facebook like you shouldn't talk about this and i'm like i'm glad god made you the judge of what i should preach no what you're revealing when you're trying to tell me what i should and shouldn't say that's in the scriptures what you're revealing is that you just can't handle the truth as colonel nathan r joseph said one time no i should say this way what you're saying is you cannot handle any of this meat you want milk that's not my problem this is this is a huge problem now this church we don't really have that problem that much i mean honestly we really don't you guys have gotten accustomed to it's not going to be milk every sunday okay and what has god done god has stretched you and you have grown in areas and learned things and and stepped out in things because you you were willing you know you didn't push the bowl away and and throw a temper tantrum when you didn't get the bottle anymore okay but he says leaving now let's look at the doctrines these doctrines of christ real quick because he says everyone that uses milk is unskillful in the word of righteousness and let me just go in and tell you there are guys with doctorate of divinities and doctrines of theology and masters degrees and divinity and theology that are that are still
unskillful in the word i mean serious they're that group that paul talked about in second timothy when he said ever learning and never able to come to the knowledge of the truth i am all about education i love learning we should learn everything we possibly can but there are people who absorb themselves their bias against certain truths in the bible causes them to study things and to learn things that just reinforce their deception their faults doctrines and so let's let's keep going here i'm sorry verse chapter six verse one therefore leaving the principles of the doctrine of christ let us go on unto perfection or maturity not laying again the foundation of repentance from dead works and of faith toward god of the doctrine of baptisms plural water holy ghost baptism with tongues and fire three baptisms that's why it's plural there laying on of hands the resurrection of the dead eternal judgment and this we will do if god permit so he's saying is these are foundational doctrines now i'm just going to tell you before we go any further that there are great and vast portions of the church world who don't even have these doctrines correct repentance means to confess your sin and to quit it admit it and quit it right hate it and forsake it repentance turning around if you were a drunkard you asked jesus to forgive you for being a drunkard and you repent you turn 180 degrees and you start walking with him not being a drunkard anymore can i test that i'm not a drunkard anymore i was but i repented and yes repentance did not save me i could quit drinking but i went to jesus i had to be forgiven by jesus washed in the blood of jesus that's the repentance i'm talking about and then turning and walking with him i'm not saying repentance or changing your ways is what saves you you gotta turn to jesus and follow jesus right but this church we don't we we got people don't even teach this right and then we got the ones that can't handle faith oh no you dare start talking about faith and the principles of faith that's the word of faith movement ah hearing that word of faith camp you're a prosperity freak why because i said death and life's in the power of the tongue that's a scripture right what you believe in your heart and say with your mouth i think that's how you get saved i think that's faith right believing in your
heart confess it with your mouth you know what you speak is part of faith but oh no that's word of faith that's word of faith god because somebody got off base somewhere every now we throw out the baby with the bath water that's what we always do right no that's what babies do adults should know better right well let's go on the doctrine of baptisms uh oh see we got groups that only baptized in water wait a minute then you got a problem because there's baptisms you know like that baptist preacher told my dad way back when when he asked him about the day of pentecost and the baptism of the holy spirit and the gifts of tongues we don't talk about that that's what the baptist preacher told my dad the baptist preacher that god used to lead my dad to jesus cut him off from the holy spirit now what is that [Music] that is the baptist preacher i like my milk no meat for you like the soup nazi no soup for you come back one year right no no holy ghost for you no tongues for you no suit for you [Music] that's it okay they're soup nazis i used to be a seinfeld addict i'm sorry i've been since i have repented and been set free but i used to watch seinfeld [Music] and no one could beat me at seinfeld trivia i assure you um but then we got the baptism in the holy spirit you know when i say i've had an interesting month you know i'm gonna do my best here to not be rude but i had a preacher not on facebook face to face tell me face to face this week this past week tongues have ceased prophecies have ceased when i said i find that interesting because i've spoken in tongues for 28 years then he told me it was demonic yeah we had a little discussion but you get what i'm saying don't even have these things down so here's what i'm getting at folks not only do we have people that just want the milk we have people rejecting the milk foundational doctrines eternal judgment resurrection of the dead
got no hell rob bell right [Music] there's a lot of christians y'all listen to me there's a lot of closet universalist among us rob's just bold enough to say it out loud that he don't believe in the hell but see this is now now here here's a common misnomer in the church world too the common misnomer is well spiritual maturity is equated to how much of the fruit of the spirit you have let's just drive a nail into this right here okay nowhere does it say that in the bible that that that the fruit of the spirit love joy peace long-suffering gentleness meekness you know all those the fruits we're not talking about the gifts here we're talking about the fruits nowhere does it say that that is the measure of your maturity level because i know some nice sweet loving gentle peaceful meek joyful people who are dumb as a rock have no discernment of good and evil and are really weak and won't take a stand for anything and won't don't want any confrontation or any difficulty can i just say that all of us christians i don't care where we are in the spectrum newborn babe uh teenager child adult in the spirit as we're growing up no one is going to always have the perf walk perfectly in the fruits of the spirit okay but the the the qualification really of what decides whether you are mature or not a mature christian is your ability according to hebrews 5 here is your ability to discern good and evil and be skillful in the word of god meaning that you have through time through great study and diligence and research and prayer and fasting and meditation in the word and and and and you've been diligent you have become someone who's skillful in rightly dividing the word of truth a lot of people that use the scriptures but they use them incorrectly pull them out of context don't know what words mean they have their own meanings right [Music] you know let me just tell you a
christian tells me judge not we christians don't judge anybody you know what that tells me immediately you're unskillful in the word righteous you're a babe you're a milk sucking baby and if i hurt your feelings and tell you the context of that passage and tell you while you're wrong you're probably gonna get mad at me and pitch a little temper tantrum on the floor you're unskillful you're a babe if that's your mantra judge not no that's just the beginning of what jesus started teaching there i love what i remember hearing kenneth hagin say years ago we can make the bible say anything we want to make it say you can take this this scripture over here it says judas went and hanged himself right then you take this scripture over here that's in this in the parable of the of the good samaritan when jesus said go down and do likewise well let's see the bible says judas wouldn't hang himself and the bible says go there and do likewise we put those together we can say anything you do that kind of stuff with the scriptures you are unskillful in the word of righteousness because you are obeyed now you are a baby that because you just got saved or you're obeyed because you refused the meat and you refused to grow up one of the two there was a funny trailer i didn't see the movie because i knew it would be terrible but the trailer was hilarious i think it was for grown-ups or something but the trailer had this growing kid walk up to its mother's breast and start breastfeeding they said yeah he's 48 months that's four years right uh everybody knows any right that's weird on many levels right now of course the movie they're trying to be funny but that's what we got in christianity we got a bunch of people [Music] who should be eating meat should be skillful in the word of righteousness but they're still wanting milk and most of them this is a sad thing have become lactose intolerant now what do i mean by that i mean we're we're we're going somewhere for this i promise you this is just the introduction i looked up what you know lactose intolerant i looked up this morning just quickly mayo clinic what are the causes of lactose being lactose intolerant right one of them says that for some people it's just a matter of getting older right
sometimes it's just a problem with aging the body deteriorating and i thought to myself hmm that to me in the spirit world in the church world would represent itself in people who've been saved a long time but just they've been saved so long they're stuck in the traditions and doctrines of men they're just so stuck they've been in it so long they just refused to change they refuse to hear anything else they refuse they have become completely lactose intolerant because they've been in the same thing for so long right the other reason it said that a person can be or become lactose intolerant was by injury or illness or some bacteria or fungus or some infection so some people have refused even the milk of the word like those foundational doctrines they refused those things because they got injured maybe some some pastor hurt them or some christian hurt them or they saw somebody do it wrong i mean that's what i always hear from the baptist preachers who don't have anything to do with tongues and while i saw somebody you know i saw somebody a church was out of order or saw somebody doing it wrong or i saw this pastor who spoke in tongues he robbed the whole church or he cheated on his wife well guess what that that kind of idea that kind of argument i could say that about how many baptist preachers have cheated on their wives and or stolen money from the church or you know been hooked on pornography i mean i could point at that and go why are you a baptist because we've had baptist preachers do bad things too but no you just like to look at the pentecostal charismatics who have done bad things and you want to throw it all out to me that's just a sorry excuse right so you don't have to deal with the deeper things in the bible that's what i was telling nancy on the way here you can always find an excuse i mean think about jesus christ of nazareth our lord and savior god in the flesh who never sinned the the pharisees and the people around him the sadducees and the religious and the people that didn't want to receive him could look at the sinless son of god and still try to nitpick and find ways so they didn't have to listen to what he was saying is this not the carpenter's son you know i heard that you know he may joseph may not even be his father oh oh he heals on the sabbath day did you know that he breaks the law of god he heals on the sabbath he doesn't even keep the scripture oh or they're one oh he he's deceiving the people or how about this one the pharisee said how does this man know thinks he knows
the bible he didn't go to our school he's never learned he didn't sit at the feet of gamel he didn't go to our schools oh oh and he cast out demons and he does miracles by bills above the chief of the demons and that's when jesus said whoa gentlemen you about to go too far but he was perfect listen if you want an excuse to reject the truth of the bible you will find one even with the sinless spotless son of god [Music] it's the truth [Music] whether i'm a perfect man or not the truth of god's word doesn't change the messengers are always going to be flawed but what about the message what about the truth am i receiving the truth of god's word am i rejecting it and see this is the sad thing is that we've got a lot of people in the church world who think that they are full of knowledge and understanding and wisdom and they know it all they think they think that they are spiritually mature and they are babes let me show you some of this i'm going to go down through this stuff pretty quick here [Music] see being saved a long time doesn't mean you've grown up going to bible college seminary doesn't mean you've grown up being able to speak hebrew and greek doesn't mean you've grown up [Music] let's look at this i'm gonna give you some scriptures you can write them down you can turn to them but i'm gonna go through them pretty quick [Music] first corinthians two nine and ten i love this he says but as it is written eye has not seen nor ear heard neither have entered into the heart of man the things which god hath prepared for them that love him but god hath revealed them unto us by his spirit oh that makes me want to dance a little jig man he's saying that your eye has not seen your ear has not heard there's things that you don't know but god will reveal things to you by his spirit for the spirit searches all things and i love this he says yay the deep things of
god say this with me everybody i want some deep things god's willing to reveal them if you're willing to go there you got to break free from denomination you got to break free from doctrines of men you got to break free from tradition you got to break free and just receive the word of god and god will open your eyes and show you some things look at this i'm going to give you the word here this is awesome the the greek word for deep things here is bathos and it and and it's defined in the strong's dictionaries profundity i'll give you the definition of that in a second mystery deepness depth now here's what's interesting the the word uh profundity this is what it means listen to this deep insight great depth of knowledge or thought oh yeah god wants to give his children deep insight and knowledge into him and into his word into his creation somebody said some good stuff that's here's even matter of fact everybody check the first peter 3 i want you to see this because we're going to go to first peter 3 then first peter 4. it's only 12 10. y'all be okay we're not baptist we don't get out at 12. poor methodist see i got on my revival watch out for those of you listening that's no watch all right [Music] see these things are important i love this i've quoted this verse a lot in this series but i wanted you to see it i don't think we've turned to it he says this but sanctify the lord uh first peter 3 15. i'm sorry if i didn't tell you in 16 but sanctify the lord god in your hearts and be ready always to give an answer to every man that asketh you a reason of the hope that is in you with meekness and fear having a good conscience that whereas they speak evil of you as evildoers that they may be ashamed that falsely accuse your good conversation in christ see be ready to give an answer i i'm sick of these milk lactose intolerant whatever babes or the 48-month breastfeeders or whatever they are [Music] i'm tired of them saying that's not important what you're talking about is not
important folks if it's in the bible if it's in the word of god if it's in the scriptures it's there for a reason god wanted it there god put it there and it's there for someone it's an answer for someone see that's why we were willing to go into these deeper things like talking about the nephilim the giants the fallen angels with human women why because it answers one of the one of the biggest obstacles for atheists and unbelievers and even for christians why did god wipe out entire groups of what appeared to be people men women and children i mean that's what the atheist like that richard dawkins guy or whatever his name is who talks about god the god of the old testament was a genocidal maniac no not if you understand that the scripture says that these individuals were descendants were half fallen angels and half human beings cursed and damned and they were so vile wicked and evil that they had to be wiped out or mankind would have been destroyed by them and once you understand that then you understand why we must delve into the deeper things to give and answer now for the christian over here who's just satisfied with the milk okay maybe you're okay you're gonna have your faith in jesus and you might make it to heaven but there's some folks over here that if they don't get an answer of why it appears that god was a genocidal maniac in the old testament and in the scripture addresses why we're supposed to give them an answer [Music] this is why we go into these deeper things to give an answer and you know the problems that i have not with the unsaved they know these things are in history and in archaeology and paleontology they know there's evidence of these things [Music] if the scriptures talk about it it's important for somebody and when god told peter to feed the sheep he said this in john 21 he said peter the last chapter of the book of john he said two things after he asked him do you love me he said feed my lambs and he said feed my sheep what is he saying you're going to have lambs you're going to have the newborn ones give them the milk give them the foundational doctor but you're going to have the sheep the ones that are growing up the ones that are maturing if you stay on milk all the time who suffers
the ones who want to grow up proverbs 25 2. i'm gonna give you a lot of scripture i told you you can write them down or listen to the the archive later proverbs 25 2 it is the glory of god to conceal a thing but the honor of kings to search out a matter now [Music] i've had people again say god's not interested god doesn't want us involved in these secret things these mysteries just preach salvation let me just say this that's a devil talking through you like little miss that came on my page the other day little ronda help help miranda i needed rhonda's help i guess ronda was going to help me and he struck me what i should preach and how i should do it a lot of women got that problem [Music] she needs to read the scripture about rebuking not an elder but she got embarrassed by my wife but see what what is it don't go down these roads right she even said it it caused division right talking about because i was having a discussion with an older gentleman from england who wanted who came on my page and started going off on me and i just was explaining to him trying to so i thought we were having a discussion then he got nasty and so then he got banned and blocked from my facebook page and so we're done here but she comes on saying that these subjects like the age of the universe and the age of the earth and science in the bible it causes division listen to me this is matthew chapter 10 verse 34 35 that's what jesus said this he said think not that i've come to send peace on earth i did not come to send peace but a sword and then he goes on to say i've come to set a man against his son and a brother against the the daughter and the mother-in-law and so on what is he saying truth my truth the sword of the word of god the truth is what will divide because some people even christians when you give truth certain truths they're going to
say no and others will say yes well the moment you have someone say no another one say yes you have a division or it's not a bad division if it's the truth of the word of god right like we had some gentlemen basically stay he doesn't need a church he didn't need his pastor he's got god you know what i say with that good luck sir because the god i know is about to judge you right i'm sorry the glory of god to conceal a thing guess what you know what the word glory here is it's the hebrew word kabald this is the weighty heavy manifest glory the tangible vibrant i can't even overwhelming presence and power of god that surrounds him that flows out of him and he says it is his glory to conceal now listen to this the word here conceal hebrew cathar to hide so it's god's glory to hide a thing the word thing is the hebrew word dabar dabar means a word or an answer god hides his word sometimes in his answers he hides them but he didn't leave it there dybala would also be the equivalent in the greek would be the word logos a word spoken which is a term for jesus himself so he says here god hides certain words certain answers and then he says this but it is the honor now this is what's interesting glory the glory of god here is the hebrew word cabal when it says it is the honor of kings to search out the manner the word honor is the same hebrew word command it is the glory of god upon a king and we are all through jesus now if we're born again called kings and priests he says it is glory to search out these matters oh
see i'm just going to tell you a church that refuses a pastor ministers or a church fellowship that refused to go and seek and search out these matters that are hidden and concealed to find the answers they are not going to have the glory and the power of god on them not at all that's why they're dead dry empty shells they have no glory no presence no anointing no power and they sit there with their bottles thinking they're superior to everybody else as they spit up upon their congregations you see what makes me sad this makes me sad y'all you know ezekiel 34. we could just keep going with this i'm going to stop here but ezekiel 34 he says prophesy ezekiel the prophet he said god tells him prophesy against the shepherds and he says to them he said you haven't sought that which was lost you haven't healed that which was sick and i sit back and i real you know i realize he says with force and with cruelty you've ruled them meaning you've controlled them this is this way a lot of churches are you've controlled them by keeping them ignorant and away from certain from the meat you've controlled and kept them stupid and dumb and ignorant but they're suffering because the sheep have demonic spirits tormenting them they have sicknesses and illnesses that are tormenting them and the church is supposed to be a place not just of salvation where an unsafe person can get saved but where a christian can be healed delivered grow stronger you see what i'm saying and the sheep are being starved to death they're being tormented by demons and you've got churches that won't cast out a demon won't anoint the sick with oil and pray for them won't do anything because they don't believe it they don't want the trouble so what do they revert to psychology counseling and not even biblical i'm talking about genuine psychology i listen most of the not most of the traditional church world i would say a vast majority of people in their congregations because they have not been through healing had healing and deliverance and they don't believe in the power of god and they don't have the glory of god because they refuse the truth of god's word they've got people
just just by the droves on antidepressants you see if you reject the holy ghost you gotta pop a pill and then you know this pastor that [Music] told me this this was i just i'm sorry i got to do this but this pastor that told me that tongues deceased and prophecy was no more and when i talked about healing in the church and he was he he made the statement well everyone that jesus prayed for everyone that the apostles prayed for got healed and i went oh lord so basically if if we're not 100 successful then we should never we shouldn't do it so you know what i told him i said well why do you preach you believe the word of god is powerful the gospel is powerful you you pray you prepare you study to preach sermons so that people will get saved but is everyone who hears your preaching going to get saved no they're not i said so you should according to your logic you should just quit right that mentality well if everybody doesn't get healed then i'm not going to pray for anybody what's amazing was that this pastor when he was little was dying and his parents were praying and he was supposed to die what he said he flatlined several times when he was a kid but he had parents who believed and were praying to god for a miracle and god healed him and saved him and i said how does a man he tells me this story and i feel the anointing and power of god on it god wants to work in this brother's life i said i said how does a man who is a miracle who had a miracle to to have his life be able to continue stand here and tell me jesus doesn't do him anymore [Music] how do you stand up how do you do that how do you preach how do you leave that part of the gospel how do you how do you walk away it was an intense conversation as paul said it was sporty got a little sporty in there i don't hate this brother and i'm not angry at this brother [Music] it's sad to me he's being robbed his church his family people they're being robbed because they've locked themselves into this box and they refuse to hear anything that's outside of that box even if it's scripture
and listen i don't think i know i'm going to be i'm going to tell y'all straight up i don't think i know everything i i constantly realize how much i don't know how much i need to study how much i need to learn but i can tell you this and it's not pride to say i know that i've learned a few things that some pastors have not learned because they just refuse to go there it's not because i'm better than them or anything they just refuse to go where i decided to go you know when i told him i said hey have you ever operated in the gifts of the spirit he jumped over into the ministry well yeah i teach and i preach no no no no i'm talking about the supernatural gifts of the holy spirit you know gifts of healing working in miracles discerning of spirits word of knowledge prophecy and he kept cutting me off and changing the subject but what i wanted to get to on that when i was asking him that but one i wanted to get to was um maybe you ought to listen to somebody who has for 28 years i don't walk it you know i'm not a car mechanic i don't walk into a carmen county shop and tell him he can't do that he can't fix the transmission well you get what i'm saying it's just where's the humility you might not know everything i know i don't have a grasp on everything let's say dr dr hugh ross does about physics and astronomy and science i you know what i hadn't studied that all my life but i'm willing to learn from people who have and compare it with what the scriptures say and open myself up to learn and to grow i got a lot to do trust me i got a lot to do you know and that's what i'm sitting there thinking about this guy i'm like he kept complaining about you know churches and christians he saw charismatics pentecostals that were off and doing it wrong okay so they're doing it wrong why don't you show us how to do it right instead of throwing it out the window show us how to do it right at least try right guess what i got news for him even if he steps out into this realm of the gifts of the holy spirit the power of god and truth that are uncomfortable to his denomination he won't do everything right but you should try that's what god wants us to do and then peter stepped out of the boat and started sinking at least he tried he might have got out there and sunk
but jesus saved him didn't he and both of them were walking on the water together after he sunk so guess what you can step out there and walk on the water in the supernatural and in truths that stretch you and you can sink sometimes you can fall down you can sink you can lose faith you can mess up you can you can get off and you say jesus save me help me get back back where i need to be and jesus walked over and took his hand and pulled peter up and they were both still standing on water and they walked back to the boat together why i think i think jesus was overjoyed i got somebody who's willing to try even in the storm even when the rest of his buddies the apostles were um i'm sitting in the boat the supernatural is always for those willing to leave the crowd and the boundaries of the boat remember the old saying i'd rather be a wet water walker than a dry boat rider hey that's what i'm trying to tell you guys you want to see a miracle you want to see jesus do a miracle let him do it through you you'll never see anybody healed or a miracle that you'll really believe until you lay hands on them and pray for them in jesus name you can always say well i heard that person say it and i heard i saw that person i don't know if it's true or not but nobody can take from me what i've seen with my own eyes when i lay hands on somebody so milk or meat milk meat or you lactose intolerant which one one of my favorite passages i can't remember where it is i know it's in first corinthians or second corinthians and he said let the ignorant be ignorant a man after the first and second admonition reject knowing that he is subverted meaning i'll tell you once i'll tell you twice and i may tell you 50 times if you're nice but if i tell you once and i tell you again the truth and you get nasty with me we're done
and that's in the chapter about the gifts of the holy spirit he said let the ignorant be ignorant you know well i hope you've learned something today be skillful study to show yourself approved who unto men no unto god a workman that needed not to be ashamed rightly dividing the word of truth meaning there's a wrong way to divide it and there's a right way to divide it just like there's a wrong way to put a puzzle together and there's a right way to put those the word of god is a puzzle it's got aspects of it that are hidden hidden you can have something hidden a little nugget hidden in a passage that's not even talking about that nugget god did it that way on purpose he hides things in his word and that's why he talks about right is taking this piece and putting it over here with this piece until it makes sense and it all makes sense this is what we find out the word of god is way ahead of even science we're not done i'm telling you we probably got two three four more in this series and we probably still wouldn't be done with it but the bible talked about what what is now radio waves and television waves light waves taking voice the bible talked about that by light radio waves what comes in through your tv set is light waves carrying images and voices and the bible talked about that before it was ever invented yeah yeah yep anyway see but you know i'll be called crazy on that one too but i'll show you i'll show what science says about it how it works and we'll show what god said about it before the science figured it out right let's pray father in heaven we thank you for this day we thank you for the truth let us god all be humble and admit that we don't know everything we got a lot to learn that yes there are people that know more than we know about different things god let us be open to the scriptures let us not just hold to milk or to our tainted milk but let us receive the meat of the word deeper things of god deeper truths things that will answer questions for people
so that they can be saved that's what this is about people say these things aren't about the gospel or about salvation yes they are for some people these questions these mysteries must be answered for them to be able to accept the bible to accept you god to accept jesus as their savior to accept the cross and the resurrection to accept the forgiveness and the cleansing of the blood of jesus the baptism the holy spirit the gifts of tongues healing miracles dealing with the demonic and fallen angels and all that father i pray in jesus name that more and more people would be open i'm talking about christians to the truth of the word of god the whole truth [Music] we pray it today in jesus name amen the moment my word spoken from my mouth they were said they were spoken for man to know me those that deny my word deny me my people will be destroyed for the lack of knowledge thus saith the lord amen yep hosea 4 6 my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge but it doesn't end there he says but because you have rejected knowledge he said i will reject you it's dangerous when somebody tells you the truth the moment you're told some truth in the bible some truth about god some truth about jesus some truth about heaven and hell or some truth the moment you're told you're accountable to it pretty serious stuff god in his word are one he is a man of his word the way he is pretty he takes it pretty seriously but you know what he also does told nancy the other day he also puts these stumbling blocks out there he'll he he'll leave you enough rope to hang yourself if you want to he gives you enough proof but then he always leaves you with just enough where you can doubt it if you want to what will you believe as for me in my house we will believe the lord amen
