hallelujah praise you lord there's there's none like you jesus you are the only king of kings you are the lord of lords you are the god of gods you're the creator of heaven and earth and all of the universe you are god the way the truth and the life and there is no other way to heaven no other way to eternal life there's no other god who took on flesh and and died for the sins of mankind you are the only way the only truth and the only life lord help us to convey that god both with with love and boldness so many people around us they need to know you before it's too late so we pray god help us to be men and women of prayer men and women of of boldness and sharing our our witness and our testimony that jesus christ is the way the truth and the life the savior the only one that can wash away sin well we praise you and we thank you jesus name amen hallelujah well good morning everyone hope you had a good week [Music] i did two deliverances this week so i'm tired i'm worn out went back to working at gtr this week as well so i'm even more tired and worn out than usual but god is good he is our strength he refreshes us amen he helps us um hallelujah well going to look at some stuff today got a few things i want to go to in the word this morning first of all i want you to turn in your bibles turn to uh to matthew chapter 13 we're going to look at the shortest parable jesus ever told and yet the ramifications of it are huge because really i believe it was a basically a parable or a prophecy about the time we're living in now everybody knows in here because you've heard me preach it many times that we're living in the last of the last days and one of the things jesus said in matthew 24 was one of the major signs or problems or issues
of the last days he said many will come in my name and deceive many right many will come in my name and deceive many and then he even said it again later on in the chapter he said many false prophets will rise and deceive many okay i think it's hard for us i still think even within our church there is not a grasp of how bad the deception has spread within the church okay because i'm i'm just giving you these verses you can look me up later but second thessalonians chapter 2 jesus through the apostle paul said let no man deceive you talking about the coming of the lord and and the rapture he said let no man deceive you concerning the coming of our lord jesus christ and our gathering together unto him he said let no one deceive you that day will not come except there come a falling away first and you've heard me talk about and what that means is an apostasy that means many people who were walking loyal to jesus walking in the truth of the word of god before jesus comes back in this in the second coming he said there would be this departure from the faith and and let me just say this departure from the faith does not mean necessarily that you quit believing in jesus so that he is um the son of god it literally means there the apostasy or to be deceived the words mean to stray from truth y'all hear me jesus is known as the way the truth and the life right jesus testified and all of the apostles and all of the prophets testified that the word of god is the truth right jesus said it in john 17. he said in his prayer his great they the great prayer he prayed before he was crucified he said sanctify them through thy word thy word is truth right the word of god is true now jesus name is also known as the word of god and y'all have heard me say this many times but you cannot separate jesus christ of nazareth from the written word of god they are as one as unified as father son and holy ghost okay matter of fact if you look at psalm 138 and if you want to turn there you can but one of the things it says and i believe it's in verse 2 but in psalm 138 there he says that god speaks about his word and he says he's magnified his word above his name think about that for a second this is the same god who says if you
take his name in vain he will not hold you guiltless right this is the same god who says in the new testament that the name of jesus is above every name and that at the name of jesus every knee will bow and every tongue will confess that jesus christ is lord to the glory of god the father so god speaks of his word he says he has magnified it above his name see let me just say the word of god is holy the word of god is pure the word of god is truth the word of god is alive and powerful and you cannot separate the bible the written word of god genesis to malachi matthew to revelation you cannot separate that from who jesus is now the moment you begin to teach anything or preach anything that is not according to what the bible says you are no longer believing in or following the jesus christ of the bible you are creating your own jesus your own spirit and your own gospel okay now y'all know you know i'm telling you the truth because we've looked at this verse hold your spot there matthew 13. and this is just need to set this up i've talked about this we're going to lay the foundation second corinthians 2 corinthians chapter 11. i want you to see this again with your own eyes so you know pastor dean is not making this up so paul's warning to christians here speaking of christians second corinthians chapter 11 verse 1 he said i would to god you could bear with me a little in my folly and indeed bear with me for i am jealous over you with a godly jealousy see this is how listen this is how a pastor should feel about his people i'm jealous over you with the godly jealousy not that i want to keep you in this church i want to get you to heaven you see what i'm saying that's why i'm not going to water it down amen because the goal of a true pastor or goal of a true minister of jesus is to do whatever it takes to get you right with god to get you on the right path to get you walking in the truth as a matter of fact if you and we may turn there in a minute but if you're looking in the epistles of john first john second john third john you see something that he repeats over over and over but he says this he says i have no greater joy. than to see my children walking in the truth now he was calling the churches that he established his children but do you see
what i'm saying the apostles looked at it differently they didn't say i want to see you uh i want to see you all you know having fun he didn't say always i want to see everyone smiling he said i have no greater joy than to see that you walk my children are walking in the truth right so paul's jealousy here and he says it he says i'm jealous over you with a godly jealousy for i have espoused you to one husband that i may present you as a chaste virgin to christ so what he's saying here to these corinthians is i have introduced you to jesus and you're engaged right i remember the saying when i first came here nancy and i first came here there was a saying from several of you but it basically boiled down to this we didn't know how messed up we were until you got here you want to know why because actually you'd been fed a false gospel you'd been fed a compromised gospel and it was affecting your life i just listened to an excerpt from dr michael brown on youtube preaching at the brownsville revival about whatever happened to the wrath of god but he just went on and on about we've we've preached a defective gospel that's made defective converts in the church world and then those defective converts come in and make more defective converts truth is of utmost importance in the kingdom of god i mean truth is it if jesus says the words i am the way the truth and the life it's pretty serious all right he says here though i've espoused you that i may present you as a chaste or pure virgin to christ meaning i want to i want you to make it there but i fear now has anybody ever thought about this paul was a man who had suffered persecution shipwreck beatings with rods beatings with whips this is the man who god told you're going to suffer great things for my namesake and yet he went and kept preaching and kept preaching and preaching this is a man to me i would say that had no fear this is the man who also wrote god has not given us a spirit of fear but a power love and a sound mind so he's obviously talking about another fear here paul's one fear here's his one fear was that the christians that he had preached to would somehow allow themselves to be deceived by the devil and not make it this was his fear this is what motivates and ought to motivate every man of god every woman of
god this fear that the people around them the people around them under their influence will be deceived let's look he says but i fear unless by any means as or just like the serpent beguiled eve through his subtlety so your minds should be corrupted from the simplicity that is in christ for if he that cometh preacheth another jesus whom we have not preached or if you receive another spirit which you have not received or another gospel which you have not accepted you might well bear with him now what paul was saying was the corinthians were so messed up that if somebody came along and preached a slightly different jesus a slightly different gospel had a different spirit than the holy spirit but one that looked really could counterfeit it pretty good he said you know what you guys are so and if you go back to first corinthians you'll see he said you're babes he said you got all these stupid divisions you've got sin and compromise and all these things going on and he says what he said you guys might listen to these people now as for our church i think y'all are equipped enough not to listen to them hopefully prayerfully but i still think we don't realize that outside of here i mean really how few and i'm just going to say this how few people are walking in the truth of the word of god yet they name the name of jesus they are ministers they have churches they have ministries they write books this is what i'm saying i don't think we understand how widespread it is there is another jesus being preached out there he doesn't talk about wrath he doesn't talk about hell he doesn't talk about repentance he's not the jesus that says you must take up your cross and follow him or you're not worthy of him there's a different jesus out there oh jesus loves you who forgives you really there's a whole lot more to this message than jesus loves you and you're forgiven no you're not automatically forgiven but this is the gospel this is the jesus right we've got a gospel out there that says grace covers it all doesn't matter really how you live that matter if you struggle and fall away from god and live a lifestyle of sin grace just covers it so we got a different gospel and now we've got the people coming up that are meditating like hindus and and buddhists and visualizing jesus and having spiritual experiences and they don't even realize that they've given themselves over to another spirit
a demonic spirit christians have given themselves over to another jesus another spirit and another gospel and i'm going to tell you something right now i can show you it's happening in our town it's happening in opelika and auburn well-known ministers big preachers are going down this road and here's the sad thing their congregations are going to follow them let me show you let's before we go back we're going to matthew 13. i promise you go to luke 13. this verse has been on my heart all morning and i want you to know sometimes maybe i sound a little angry but i do get angry when people are being deceived and misled it it just really bothers me and it should bother you that people are being deceived in the name of jesus in the name of christianity and are thinking they're going to heaven and many of them are going to bust hell wide open for all eternity but they're convinced they're okay they're convinced they're going to heaven and their preachers reinforce it this is this is a dangerous game that's going on and we've even had some of some of our church members they really don't take this seriously that's why you don't see them i luke 13. are you there i want to read this this is a verse go to verse 22. speaking of jesus here it says he went through the cities and villages teaching and journeying toward jerusalem then said one unto him lord are there few that be saved now could this question be any more clear are there few they're going to be saved what did jesus say and of course they're talking about in comparison to those that will be lost and and go to hell for all eternity and what does jesus say here does he say just believe and you're okay i love you and everything's gonna be all right everybody's gonna make it to heaven listen there are many christians believing that everyone's going to
ultimately go to heaven because jesus sacrificed on the cross paid for everybody so everybody's going to make it to heaven because they're forgiven and they don't even know it that's called universal salvation it's a demonic lie because what did jesus say right here he said strive to enter in at the straight or narrow gate for many i say unto you will seek to enter in and shall not be able many will try to get into heaven but will not be able jesus said the way is narrow and few everybody everybody say that think about this few there be that find it not because it hadn't been preached to many not because they don't have a bible not because they don't have a church not because they don't have a preacher but they refuse to obey the truth learn the truth walk in the truth hunger and thirst for the truth love the truth more than their traditions more than their religions more than the commandments of men more than the lies of the devil many are going to name the name of jesus they're going to sit in church and they're going to go to hell forever and burn for all eternity and most of their preachers are going to do nothing to get in the way of that now if you think that that i'm making this up let's go back and actually it's right here matter of fact we'll just read it in luke right before this verse because what i had you turn to we're going to turn we'll turn back to matthew show you it's in luke and matthew but verse 20 and 21 this is the shortest parable jesus told right here okay and we're going to break it down remember what's our rule about breaking down a parable everybody all know this let the bible interpret the bible right this is this won't be pastor dean's private interpretation or my own ideas that i just make up all right and again he said jesus speaking where and to shall i liken the kingdom of god what is the kingdom of god like it is like leaven which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal until the whole was leaven now go back to matthew 13. matthew 13 verse 33 in matthew it's only one verse
and another parable spake he unto them the kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal till the whole was leaven now let's break this down first of all jesus is not talking about the world here because whenever he uses the terminology the kingdom of heaven he's talking about his kingdom now let me go ahead and just give you the verses because there is no you are not in his kingdom you have no part in his kingdom you won't even see his kingdom if you are not born again right let me call me john 3 3 what does that say you must be born again or you will not see the kingdom of god right now jesus said this in luke 17 he said the kingdom of god is where within you will we begin to first experience the kingdom of god is at salvation remember what did jesus say repent for the kingdom of heaven is at hand meaning it's it's the word at hand means it's very near you why because how we begin to enter jesus kingdom is we are born again if you're not born again it doesn't matter how much you go to church it doesn't matter how much you pray it doesn't matter how much you read if you're not born again through faith in the lord jesus christ and repentance from sin if you're not born again and had that supernatural experience you have no part of the kingdom of god so i want to make it clear here in this parable jesus is not talking about the world he's not talking about the unsaved he says the kingdom of heaven my kingdom will be like this now this is what's sad here now some people take this parable and i've heard them try to twist it and make it out to be positive but we have a problem if we're going to let the bible interpret the bible he said the kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven now not one time do i see in the scriptures is leaven considered or a symbol of something good or holy is it you guys ought to know with your jewish hebraic background that leaven is considered what unclean defiled it's representative of and i'm going to show you this it's representative in the bible of sin it's representative of of ceremonial in uncleanness or impurity and false teaching okay and let me let me give you a few verses to prove that right um i mean what bread did they have to have at passover
unleavened bread do you do you know what the jewish the jewish people did before they they had passover one of their traditions now this is just a jewish tradition but it was to teach the kids something see we really shouldn't hide easter eggs that comes from babylon that's a pagan practice right but here's the thing what the jewish people did was that before passover passover was one of their holy feast days it was a time to worship the lord it was about the blood sacrifice of the lamb it was about escaping the bondage of egypt or to us the bondage of the world it is a holy time that's why the feast those seven feasts of israel were holy convocations they were holy times and you were not to go into those things haphazardly or with sin in your life and so one of the things was that's why you had to get all 11 yeast 11 that you would put in the dough that had to be removed from your house so what the fathers the jewish fathers would do is that they would they would gather all the children around and they would tell them the story of the exodus how god delivered them from egypt through the blood of the lamb so they were preaching the gospel to their kids and basically telling them okay to to experience this gospel to walk in this gospel we've got to have the blood of the lamb and we've got to get the leaven out of our house so the father of the house would take pieces of leavened bread small pieces of leavened bread and he would hide them through the house and the children's job was to go through the house and to search it out and to clean it out and get all the leaven out of the house all right because that was teaching the kids what you need the blood of the lamb and you need to get the sin out of your house that's salvation folks right so leaven has never represented a good thing i'm going to show you this go hold your spot we're going to come back here in just a second but go to first corinthians chapter 5. if you think this is just pastor dean making this stuff up i want to show you where paul talked about it the apostle paul right y'all don't mind studying the bible on sunday morning do you okay let's see first corinthians chapter 5 hallelujah somebody say i love the word i love the word i'm telling you i love it because when you stud it's like a puzzle and god what he did was he took all different pieces of different things and he scattered them all over the bible and he wants us to study and and figure out how they all fit together that's what one of my favorite verses is uh proverbs 25 2. you know what it says it is the glory of god to conceal a thing and the honor of kings to search out the matter it's an honor to study the bible and search it out god hides things from us
but he hides them in plain sight they're in here you just have to look right so here's what he says we're going to start reading for verse one speaking to this church about what sin in the camp here and he said what he says it is reported commonly that there is fornication among you and such fornication as is not so much is named among the gentiles that one should have his father's wife and you are puffed up or prideful and have not rather mourned that the he that has done this deed might be taken away from among you for verily as absent in body but present in spirit have i judged already yeah they say we shouldn't judge right paul said i've judged already as though i were present concerning him that hath done so so done this deed he said in the name of our lord jesus christ when you are gathered together and my spirit with the power of our lord jesus christ to deliver such and one unto satan for the destruction of the flesh that the spirit may be saved in the day of the lord jesus this is talking about church discipline when you actually have to set someone down they won't repent of their sin they won't get out of it you're supposed to put them out of the church hopefully that that will get their attention and they'll repent and get right with god okay that's that's part of the discipline some do some don't right but look what he but he begins to compare this to verse 6. he said your glory is not good know ye not that a little leaven leavens the whole lump i mean if you allow and tolerate sin in the camp it will eventually spread some of you know this because you saw it in your previous churches they ignored sin they let sin go on sin was going on with the pastor sin was going on the church it wasn't confronted it wasn't dealt with and it began to spread to everybody right this is why we deal with it all right so he said here it's not out of meanness but it's truly out of love to protect the rest of the the flock so he's so he begins now he's talking about this brother in horrible sin in the church right and he compares it to what leaven and he says a little leaven leavens the whole lump what does he say right here verse seven purge out or remove therefore the o 11 that you may be a new lump even as you are unleavened for even christ our passover is sacrificed for us well jesus said what he was the bread of life right he is the bread of passover he is the bread with the stripes on it the bread that is pierced but he is the unleavened bread so the unleavened bread is a symbol of purity it is a symbol of jesus christ so having leaven out of something is is makes it pure right all right so he says let's keep ordering he says purge out therefore the old leaven that you may be a new lump look at verse 8 therefore let us keep the
feast not with o 11 neither with the leaven of malice and wickedness but with the unleavened bread of sincerity and truth and then he goes on to say let's get this brother out of the church until he can get his act together so that's what they did so i wanted you to see that now go back go to go to matthew chapter 16 as we head back to matthew 13. somebody say this 11. not a good thing not a good symbol symbol of something bad all right everybody got that all right here we go are you there all right matthew 16 verse 1 the pharisees also with the sadducees came and tempting desired him that he would show them a sign from heaven and he answered and said unto them when it is even you say it will be fair weather for the sky is red and in the morning it will be foul weather today for the sky is red and luring oh you hypocrites you can discern the face of the sky but you cannot discern the signs of the times what's jesus saying you can figure out the weather but you can't you you men who know the bible know the scriptures can't figure out who i am you can't figure out what you need to do and then he calls them what they are a wicked and adulterous generation seeks after a sign and they shall no sign be given to it but the sign of the prophet jonah and he left them and departed and when his disciples were come to the other side they had forgotten to take bread and jesus said unto them or then jesus said unto them take heed and beware of the leaven of the pharisees and the sadducees and they reasoned among themselves saying is it because we have taken no bread come on guys a little thick headed and what did jesus say it says when jesus perceived he said oh ye of little faith why reason you among yourselves because you have brought no bread do you not understand neither remember the five loaves of the five thousand and how many baskets you took up neither the seven loaves of the four thousand and how many baskets you took up how is it that you do not understand that i spake it not unto you concerning bread but that you should beware of the leaven of the pharisees and the sadducees and look what it says then understood they how that he baded them not beware of the leaven of bread but of the doctrine of the pharisees and the sadducees now over in i think it's in mark in luke when he's talking about this he also adds in the leaven of herod all right now you know what herod's problem was i'm not even gonna turn there
but herod's problem was he loved the preaching of the prophet uh prophet john the baptist he loved his preaching but he didn't want to get out of his sin he liked his you know he liked his uh strippers we'll just say it that way he liked to lust after women and he liked his he liked his uh his position but he said he loved to hear john the baptist but he ended up beheading john the baptist over a woman boy how many people turn against the bible over lust many people are going to bust hell wide open over this lust and sex issue all right but let's look at it so i've made my point now let's go back to matthew 13. now i'm going to go down the list here so we've got 11 representing sin we've got 11 representing the doctrine of the pharisees and the sadducees which i would take a whole sermon to to uncover all of their doctrines i'm going to bring up one or two here in a second but levin also represented the leaven of herod right now you know what the leaven of the sadducees was what they all had the pharisees and the sadducees had religion they had the bible remember what jesus said to them he said in them you think you have what you think you have eternal life but you don't oh y'all see where i'm going with this the pharisees said we're children of abraham and jesus said don't think you just because you're children of abraham you're going to make it right the pharisees and the sadducees and let me say this they weren't in a false religion they were in the religion of jehovah god and they were absolutely convinced that they were holy that they were righteous that they were on their way to heaven and jesus looks at him and says you are of your father the devil you can't stand me you think you know me but search the scriptures you think you have eternal life but they speak of me you really don't know me you think you know me you think you know what who the messiah is and how he will act and who he will be you think you know but you don't know because you love the praises of men more than you love anything else you are whitewashed tombs you are you look righteous on the outside but on the inside you're full of sin and wickedness i mean jesus exposed them they were absolutely convinced that they were blessed and the people who didn't know the law or the word of god was cursed so what the pharisees the doctrine of the pharisees and the sadducees
represents to me is those now in christianity who think they know jesus they think they know the bible they think they have eternal life they think they're saved and going to heaven but they are lost they are deceived they are not walking in the truth they don't really know the messiah intimately and the proof of that is when they depart from the scriptures don't shout me down when i'm preaching it all right so let me see so let's look at this parable again now we know a little bit about the leaven of the pharisees the eleven of the sadducees the leaven of herod that leaven represents sin in christians first corinthians 5. and all this leaven that jesus talked about is in in the church and that's what this parable is about let's let's look at it now that we know matthew 13 verse 33 another parable spake he unto them the kingdom of heaven is like unto leaven which a woman took and hid in three measures of meal until the whole thing was leavened now i'm just going to give you these just for the sake of time because i'm not going to try to keep you here all morning the woman there a woman always represents something in the scripture you know what she always represents a church the true church is called the bride of christ and that a woman i don't know today is men calling themselves brides but i'm talking about correct right so in the bible the bride of the the church the true church the church that is walking with jesus that's walking holy that's trying to to overcome the flesh and fight the flesh and not walk after the lust of the flesh the one that's that's making herself pure and walking with the lord and is getting prepared to be without spot and wrinkle that's his bride but revelation 17 tells us about another woman a a harlot she's full her cup is full of idolatry she's compromised she's full of sin full of idolatry and listen even though i believe and have taught and can prove that that of revelation 17 is the roman catholic church remember it says that she is the mother of harlots she has many daughters and they're just like her so folks there is a bride and there is a harlot let me just tell you the bride is a lot fewer people
than the harlot he says this woman the backslidden compromised harlot church took and hid this leaven she took and hid it where in three measures of meal anybody know what that is oh i'm gonna have to make you turn to this one hold keep your spot there and go to uh first timothy chapter five first timothy five i'll show you something remember just what is meal corn it could be corn it can be it can be wheat but it's something that's that's beaten out mashed out and it's and it's it's made into the grain that we end up making bread out of right it's crushed wheat crushed corn and it's made out into something then you mix leaven and and water or lemon and oil you mix it in there and that's how you make bread right all right when we find out let's find out what meal is first timothy 5. look at this he says verse 17 he's talking about elders that rule well listen to this he says let the elders that rule well be counted worthy of double honor especially they who labor in the word and doctrine for the scripture saith thou shalt not muzzle the ox that treadeth out the corn and the laborer is worthy of his reward therefore against an elder receive not an accusation but before two or three witnesses them that sin rebuke before all that others may also fear so what is he saying here let elders that rule well so he's talking about elders ministers in the kingdom of god he said let ministers who rule well especially those who labor in the word in doctrine meaning those who are studying the word breaking the word down like an ox breaks down the corn or the wheat to make the meal that basically what i'm doing today is i'm breaking down the meal all right i'm laboring in the word and doctrine right so that's what i want to show you so what the woman did here it said this woman back to matthew 13 33 it says that this 11 the kingdom of heaven is like leaven sin false teaching deception
compromise lust all these things are put into the teaching of the word of god she hid it in the meal you understand all false teaching and all false doctrine in all compromise it it would never deceive anybody if they didn't preach a little bit of the scriptures with it if they didn't mingle it in there with it this woman this deprived backslidden compromised church takes the leaven of sin she takes the leaven of compromise she takes the leaven of a false deceived twisted grace she takes the leaven of the pharisees and the sadducees and herod as she hides it in the teaching and preaching of god's word until we have come to the place where jesus said this leaven will be hidden in the meal meaning that it wasn't supposed to be there the meal the bread we're supposed to eat is supposed to be unleavened pure truth of the word of god but this these false churches these deceived churches these deceived ministers are hiding their deceptions in their leaven in the word of god until now we're at the end of the age and he says until the whole thing is leaven do you know how many people i found true believers tell me how hard it is for them to find a church now let me say something to you it's easy to find one if you don't really care about what's being preached but if you care it's hard now i hear people i'm people have been saying that to me for years oh that we could find a church that would preach the truth but i find out that even some of them can't stomach it when they sit in it for a while right let me just tell you we'll close with one verse go to jude next to next to revelation and those of you who didn't hear the message last week it's not going to be put on a podcast or because it was an fgc family talk you know when you got to call the family and say we got to have a talk we had a little talk last week and so this will make more sense to you after
you hear that um but here's the thing i want you to look at verse jude verse three and four and actually i could spend i could spend a month or more preaching through the book of jude because it's so important but verse three and four beloved when i gave all diligence to write unto you of the common salvation it was needful for me to write unto you and exhort you that you should earnestly contend for the faith which was once delivered to the saints for there are certain men crept in among us unawares they look like christian ministers they sound like them and maybe even at one time they were there certain men crept in unawares who were before of old ordained to this condemnation ungodly men turning the grace of our god into lasciviousness and denying the only lord god and our lord jesus christ y'all need to hear this y'all have heard me say this but i'm gonna say it again he's warning us here these men are hidden in the meal they're hidden in the preaching and teaching of the word of god he said but don't he's warning us don't be deceived fight for the faith be bold be outspoken be strong fight for the faith that was once delivered that means the original what's in the scriptures not the new stuff not their new ideas of grace he says these men will turn the grace of god into lasciviousness see there's a fundamental difference in the kingdom of god right now in the church world grace is either the power to get you free from sin you either look at it that way grace is the grace of god the mercy of god is to get you forgiven and help you learn to overcome sin so you don't live in it or you look at the grace of god as covering you and making you okay while you live in it there is no two other ways to look at it this primary issue is why the whole kingdom of god is leavened this right here this poison from lucifer from the garden of eden this poison that was continued by john calvin this poison has been continued by
baptist churches methodist churches charismatic churches this poison that the grace of god and the mercy of god is something that allows you to keep living in sin and to believe you're going to heaven it's poison and let me just say this i have seen men and i'm watching the several right now who didn't used to believe this didn't used to believe this version of grace they call what saved always say they didn't used to believe it but now they believe it now they have moved into this era and now they're moving into other errors see here's the problem once you give in to seducing spirits and doctrines of devils you're going to keep going it's not going to get better you will keep going down that road you are wide open to other things this is why because people did not receive the truth about repentance about falling away from god that a christian can fall away from god and be lost because they don't believe this foundational truth of the scriptures now we have what's called the entire postmodern emerging church world that is believing all kinds of lies like uh they've they've gone beyond calvinism to universalism they've gone beyond that you know what's funny is many of them deny the gifts of the holy spirit but now practice hindu new age meditation and create their own visions and call that the gifts of the holy spirit it is unbelievable the level of deception and demonic possession that is going on within the church world i can blow your mind right now i could name some names in this town right now that are headed down this road of destruction and they're leading many down this road of destruction and i am just blown away but jesus told us the kingdom of heaven will be like this leaven hid in the preaching and teaching of god's word within his church until the whole thing was screwed up well welcome to the nightmare because we're in it boy i find out on facebook people you think are solid i'm finding out no they're not so ladies and gentlemen what do we do
you know i almost typed this last night but i i stopped i said you know i just it's too late i don't want to get into this debate here's the thing you better read your bible you better read it and read it a lot and you better know it for yourself because i'm just going to be bold enough say this there's a lot of pastors in this town on judgment day are going to stand before god and he's going to say depart from me he cursed into everlasting fire you didn't preach my gospel you didn't preach me you had another jesus you had another jesus you had another spirit you had another gospel you didn't have mine because mine was about taking up the cross and following me mine was about holiness impurity mine was about repentance for the remission of sins not just the remission of sins mine's a whole lot different my grace said live holy your grace said it's okay to not live holy you hear what i'm saying that's why i'm so fired up about these things it's it's fundamental to christianity and i'm just going to be honest with you there are few anymore fighting for the faith that was once delivered to the saints few and i'm not saying this to puff myself up sometimes i want to quit because i feel like what's the use the masses are going are going the way of the devil i get de-friended by more christians on facebook than unsaved people i've said that recently but it's true christians it's time to decide isn't it it's not going to get better so you better know the bible you better know how to tell them now here's the good news some are going to listen a few some will listen some are going to come back home they're going to be some prodigals that come back home they wandered away from god they wandered away from truth they got out there and sinned there's going to be like like a prophecy one of one of nancy's friends from years ago she got a word years ago that she would be an 11th hour worker about that story where jesus said there are going to be some people that get in right at the end now they're going to be some that make it in there's going to be some that come back we got to go after them but we don't get them we're not going to get them by watering it down for them to
try to get them and i'm not going to do it and i pray to god that you're not going to do it amen read read read man you know powerful testimony i close with this scene i hadn't even preached the hour i'm good for an hour usually but a powerful testimony you know that uh i know she won't mind me saying this but but kat graham our boss's wife at gtr she will tell you she was a bitter she'd been in church her whole life but she was a bitter angry god hating she said i hated him she had her reasons for some different things that happened in her life but she said i told him i hated him she said while i played piano in church every sunday she said she would say things like i didn't ask to be put here why am i here i don't even want to be here and just just shake her fist that's i hate you but i asked her this past bible said i said what because i remember trying to talk to her her own husband who uh has his own issues was worried about her really worried we were i mean when when i first started working i mean it would come out at work her venom would come out at work and for some reason sitting in church though her her pastor challenged their church to read the bible and she finally just said you know what i don't like you god i don't like anything about you i'm angry at you i hate you i don't but i'm going to read the bible and she started reading the new testament and then backed up and started reading the old testament here's what's about the power of the word of god through reading the bible the power that's in those scriptures the power of the holy spirit began to change her and she'll tell you i can't really explain it but as i read the entire bible through god just dealt with all of my anger and dealt with my pain and dealt with my questions and dealt with so many things and she said i realized i didn't have to understand everything and she said i began to understand the role of faith and the role of trusting god even when i don't understand and she said she said i can't i can't tell you how this happened but she told me that and i said you know there is the absolute power
of just reading the bible the whole thing not just the parts you like not just the verses everybody wants to quote you know everybody wants to quote jeremiah 29 11 i'm about sick of seeing that one because you know what there's a whole lot of judgment that came before jeremiah 29 11. they don't talk about that part right that was after 70 years of babylonian exile okay but here's the thing the whole thing and she's a transformed person that's why she came to us and said i want to have a bible study i want to study you know i'm reading this whole thing but i'm not really getting some of this in revelation and i want somebody that knows more about it than i do and i want to study it that would have never happened a year before before she read the bible through so this is why i say read your bible read your bible for yourself read it then read it again then study it then look up words read it read it read it read it read it until you understand what you're reading look it up in webster's look it up in the greek and hebrew dictionaries anybody can do it i did it when i was a teenager look up the scriptures you can learn the bible for yourself you can know it it's the only thing that's going to protect you from deception and error amen that's why for years you know what the catholic church was all about deceiving their people that's why they said don't read the bible they didn't even let their people bring a bible to church for the for the longest time they only did their masses in latin and nobody could understand them what is the point of that beware of a church that wants to keep you stupid right let's pray thank you lord father in heaven thank you lord so much that you've given us your holy word lord these people in this emerging church world or the rob bells the donald millers the all these other different guys that are coming up they always want a question they always want to doubt they always want to say well i believe this but i don't know this and that part of the bible is a fairy tale this part i accept no no no lord i thank you for giving us the holy scriptures your words magnified above your name it is truth and it will sanctify us and it will change us lord your word is alive and powerful jesus you and your written word they are you are one in the same you are totally unified you said heaven and earth would pass away but your word will not pass away lord i pray in the name of jesus that
god you will move upon everyone here and everyone hearing this message and even those that are not here today lord god that you will move upon each of us to to read and study your word and meditate in your word and memorize your word and get your word in it and let it change us and let it fill us with truth and power of of jesus christ let it fill us with everything we need to to to not be deceived by the many false teachers and false prophets and deceived pastors and deceived christians lord we pray for that in jesus name god we pray for grace and help jesus name amen unto you this day those who choose to seek me with diligence will receive and see my mercy as these days come to an end you will see me stand before you and between the enemy in this nation that will try to cast you down seek me and show me that you love me and you will be saved amen amen hallelujah hallelujah thank you lord hallelujah brother write that one now real quick if you can since it's fresh on your memory there i'd like you yes okay verse four you want to read it you want me to read it well ian has this verse for us psalm 46 1-4 well it's even smaller in my bible so let me sit there trying to god is our refuge and strength a very present help in trouble therefore we will not fear even though the earth be removed and though the mountains be carried into the midst of the sea though its waters roar and be troubled though the mountains shake with its swelling there is a river whose streams shall make glad the city of god the holy place of the tabernacle of the most high i'm going to even read this one god is in the midst of her she shall not
