got upon the word upon our worship lord god we just ask you to touch every person here every person listening by radio this morning internet radio we bless them and we pray god that your power and your anointing and your glory and your presence lord that you will touch people listening people here this morning god we need your presence we need your presence and we need your truth both together we pray it in jesus name foreign we're on the lord thy god i am here i hear your prize i hear your pains i hear your worship i hear your joy i am with you walk to my glory see me hear me feel me know that i am with you at your side i walk every day just save the world praise the lord amen you may be seated this morning you know there's nothing better than the presence of the lord amen and i talk about when he when he manifests his presence in a special way you know the lord has kind of been laying on my heart some scriptures this morning so we're going to turn first to john chapter 14. because i believe we're moving into a new season that the lord is is revealing that he's ready to move among us and do some new things in our lives and everything accomplished by by jesus in our lives would be by the power of his presence by the power of the holy spirit and by the truth of the word of god amen i want to show you something that a lot of christianity doesn't even understand
anymore because it's not simply enough for everything to be academic amen it's not enough to just have information right you got to have the presence of god the reality of the presence of jesus christ in your life and there's different degrees of that the bible talks about the anointing that's one thing the bible talks about his presence the bible talks about his glory there's different degrees and different aspects to how god manifests his presence and his power in our lives and i've talked about that in the past about the difference between the anointing of god or the presence of god versus the glory of god i've talked about that i may mention explain that a little more in a minute since we have some new folks with us but here's the thing for the christian your ultimate desire should be to know jesus intimately and in a real way where you feel his presence from time to time where you s where you speak to him and you hear him speak to you where you feel his power and you see his glory working in your life it's it's a real relationship it's a real interaction it's a real thing that should be going on it's not just about going to church it's not just about reading your bible it's not just about you know learning things in the scriptures all that's good but the ultimate goal of all that should be pushing us toward hungering and thirsting and experiencing the presence and the power of god in our lives through jesus blood through the holy spirit and see much of the church world now is to simply go to church sing some songs sing two or three songs and hear a 30 minute sermon and we go home and we don't do anything different we just live our lives and that's why so many young people i'm gonna be honest that's why so many young people are leaving the church that's why so many young people are getting involved in witchcraft and the occult because there is a hunger in the human heart for power for the power of the spirit world for the power of something beyond us that's why so many people are into the whole alien thing and they want they want to find out that aliens are real because the human being knows deep in their soul deep in their spirit that we need something else beyond just us because we're pretty pathetic and pitiful right we're pretty evil we're pretty selfish we're pretty self-driven and self-absorbed and and wicked and sinful and as the scripture says you know jeremiah said the prophet jeremiah the holy spirit said through him in jeremiah 17 10 he
said the heart of man is is deceitfully wicked i mean it's it's just wicked it's just deceitful and desperately wicked he said who can know it you know people the people of the world walk around and go well well he's got a good heart she's got to go no they don't no they don't listen good deeds don't well never outweigh your bad deeds no matter how much good you try to do nothing can can deal with the evil that's in each one of us see that's the thing we have this deep embedded evil in us that was passed down from adam and eve it's inside of us and the bible told us that this evil that's inside of every person will never go away until we come until jesus comes back until we are resurrected till you believe in him and you're born again and then we're resurrected and jesus sets up his kingdom that's the only way the only way your flesh is going to cease from wanting to do evil is it's going to have to die and be resurrected and be a body like jesus has that's the only time but the good news is this is that jesus knew that we needed help he knew we couldn't save ourselves by good deeds that we could never out we could never get rid of the evil we could never control the evil in our hearts or our flesh without him coming and dying on the cross for sin and evil and wickedness and being raised from the dead and then giving us his spirit to help us obey the scriptures and not give in to our evil nature but to walk according to the spirit of god and according to the word of god now i've preached a lot in this church and over the years i've written books about it i've preached messages about that the bible expects us to live obedient lives holy lives but here's something i want to focus on today we're going to talk about that too but i want to focus on some there's the there's the benefit if you're willing to do things god's way there's a massive benefit all right let's look at that benefit here in this world there's something you can have that's from the other world that's from heaven amen let's look at this what jesus said this is john 14 jesus speaking to his disciples and of course verse 6 is where he said i am the way the truth and the life and no man comes to the father but through me and then as he goes on down and he's talking to them we're going to look down at verse 15 he says this and if the church world could just get this chapter down in their heart and understand well we got a lot of the church world now doesn't even believe verse six anymore that jesus is the only way to heaven so i mean this chapter is an important chapter in the bible amen it's exactly what jesus spoke and what jesus said
but we're going to look at verse 15 and jesus said this this is jesus christ of nazareth the lord the messiah god in the flesh this is what jesus said if you love me keep my commandments and i will pray the father and he shall give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever notice the the condition and then the promise the condition if you love me what more than yourself more than your sinful desires more than your wicked ways more than the evil things in the world if you love me then keep my commandments and he says if you do this if you love me and you keep my commandments then i will send you the comforter or the holy spirit see this is the beauty of it god is always saying if you can turn loose of sin if you can turn loose of your own ways if you can turn loose of your own evil wicked lustful desires if you can turn loose of your own plans and do what i command you love me first and obey me i will give you the holy spirit i will give you a comforter how many would like a comforter amen again what i'm talking about the human heart the human being knows we need something beyond our world to help us through this life and jesus said when i go back to heaven i will send you my holy spirit to be a comforter a helper a guide a strength a power that you need and the reason the church doesn't have power is because we won't yield and obey the commandments of god we won't meet the conditions to have the power of his presence a reality and so that's why we have so many people walking around saying they're christians but they have no power in their lives to live differently or to heal the sick or cleanse the leper raise the dead cast out demons the real christian is supposed to have the comforter the holy spirit of god living in them on them around them and flowing through them like a river to help other people that's true christianity but it all hinges on the verse if you love me jesus said then keep my commandments look i can tell my wife all day long i love her i could say it every day 10 times a day but if i'm committing adultery and having an affair my actions say i do not love her but because i keep the commandment to not commit adultery and break my covenant it shows her it proves to her that i love her it's the same with god lip service is no good
jesus even said he quoted isaiah and he said their people would they draw near to me with their lips but their heart is far from me right the presence of god only comes to those who are willing to do the commandments of god because they love god and understand god loves them and has something better for them come on everybody in here knows that world out there all the sexual lust all the drugs all the alcohol all the party and all the nonsense everyone knows it doesn't make anyone happy tried it it didn't work out it's darkness it's destruction it's depression so why then would we come into the church why would we look to god why would we say we believe in god but only go halfway why why would we go to church and say we love jesus and keep wanting to do that mess out there why there's a heart issue going on amen now the good news the good news is god's so patient and loving with us that he's just waiting for us to confess that sin and say god i hate that i don't want to do that anymore and you know what he does he said i'll forgive you and i'll throw it in the sea of forgetfulness and god says i won't even remember it anymore now take up your cross and follow me and if you do here's the bonus i will give you a comforter i'll give you my spirit to live in you to dwell in you to comfort you to give you power to give you the reality that you have a relationship with god almighty you don't have to walk through this life alone you don't have to walk through like this life in doubt or guessing or wondering if god is with you and for you it's simple if you love him and you keep his commandments he has promised he will send his holy spirit to you and he will be with you and he will guide you into all truth and he will speak to you and show you things to come and you will see his power in your life and there will be no doubts about jesus and who he is in the reality of god in the bible see that's why no one i don't care richard dawkins the atheist and all their their foolish arguments against god in the bible they don't move me i don't care how much they argue that god doesn't exist they're too late i know him i know his presence and power and peace and joy in my life because i chose to do his commandments
and love god so god filled me with his holy spirit he gave me a comforter i've seen his power you're too late richard dawkins you're too late atheist you're too late you lying scientists you're too late and that's why ninety percent of the world anyway despite all the arguments of atheism ninety percent of the world still believes there's a god they may not know who he is yet most of them but they believe they know he's there i love to tell atheists that by the way you're still outnumbered with all your hoopla still 90 percent of the world doesn't believe what the way you believe so i guess we're all wrong and you're right huh right i need someone let's look at this verse again this passage i didn't even get to the one i wanted to get to because that'll preach right there that's a short verse but boy it's packed isn't it if you love me jesus said keep my commandments talk is cheap that's why i just i all i got to do is be around people for a little while i know whether they love jesus or not it's easy it's not hard right let's look at this right here where would we leave off yeah here we go we'll read it again verse 15. jesus said if you love me thank you if you love me keep my commandments and i will pray and i love this jesus said he'll pray about it how many of you believe his prayers can answer i will pray the father and he shall give you another comforter that he may abide with you forever may abide may be may remember that word even the spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive because it seeth him not neither knoweth him but you know him for he dwelleth with you and shall be in you come on now if you're a born-again christian and you love jesus and you're doing your best to do his commandments guess what the holy spirit of god lives in you let him have his way how about that amen he says even the spirit of truth whom the world cannot receive because it seeth him not neither knoweth him but you know him for he dwelleth in you and shall be in you he dwelleth with you and shall be in you i will not leave you comfortless i will come to you i love this how jesus once again ties in that the trinity is
one he said i'll send you the holy spirit he said i will be with you amen father son and holy ghost one god just different revelations of the one god but just one god amen let's keep reading verse 19 yet a little while and the world seeth me no more but yes you see me because i live you shall live also at that day you shall know that i am in the father and ye and me and i in you now look at verse 21 this is one i want to get to he that hath my commandments and keepeth them he it is that loves me and he that loveth me shall be loved of my father and i will love him and will manifest myself to him oh listen if jesus christ is not manifesting his presence in power in your life to the point that you have no doubts that you are saved and you know god is real and alive if you have any doubts it's simply because you're still not obeying his commandments you won't yield and believe him and you won't do it his way uh-oh because the promise of jesus is if you keep his commandment look at verse 21 he that has my commandments and keepeth them he it is that loveth me and he that loveth me shall be loved of my father and i will love him and will manifest myself to him the word manifests there means that god will fully reveal himself make himself known to you make himself apparent and evident to you there won't be no doubt there'll be no questions jesus will show himself to you this happened to me when i was 19 years old i gave it all to jesus i turned from all my sin gave up all my plans surrendered my life and said lord from this point i will do your commandments i will do it your way i will not do it my way jesus forgive me of my sin come into my heart be my lord and savior today i walk away from the drugs and the alcohol and the immorality i walk away from it and i'm going to obey your commandments it wasn't but a few months later that i have an open vision of heaven i see the glory of god the presence and power of god i see jesus christ standing at the right hand of the father i'm wide awake open vision so powerful that i thought jesus was coming back that's how strong his presence was flowing through me in waves of love and peace and power that i could not even hardly uh withstand it was sheer
glory and power he manifested himself to me not because i was perfect not because i was more holy than anybody else but i made up my mind jesus i'm gonna follow you and he made himself real to me now listen he didn't have to give me a vision because i remember that there's been times that i've been talking to him and i felt him i felt his presence so strong and so real and so overwhelming that i couldn't do anything but sit there and cry and sob not for sadness but for for joy of knowing that i know god god knows me he's with me see christianity is about knowing god intimately if you don't you don't really have the real thing you have a counterfeit i see that's why the church has killed itself because we cut people off from the presence of god in the presence of jesus and the holy spirit we've cut them off from the living god because we haven't told them you've got to keep his commandments we just tell everybody oh there's grace do what you want god's grace covers it it's okay he understands that you want to be evil and practice sin no that's a lie from the devil the church has believed it and it's cut us off from the presence and the power and the miracles of god god promised you keep my commandments first believe that jesus is the way the truth and the life and there is no other way to heaven there is no other god but him there is no other one who died on the cross for sin and rose from the dead there is no other god but jesus christ you believe that and then you say lord i need your blood to forgive me and wash my sins away and today i choose to repent to turn away from that and walk with jesus and i promise you if you do it for real he will come and manifest himself to you it may not be that day it might be the weak following or two weeks or three weeks for me it was a few months later he really came and manifested himself to me because listen we first walk by faith and not by sight but let me just tell you god doesn't mind showing up and showing you that he's real if you're willing to believe him first if faith comes first then revelation you hear me and when it's real no one can talk you out of it if you can be talked out of your faith you don't have it
nobody can talk me out of my relationship with jesus a gun to my head a sword to my neck wouldn't it that doesn't even that wouldn't talk me out of it either you hear me i can't deny what i know not what i but just what i believe what i know what i've experienced what i've seen what i've heard what i felt from heaven i know heaven's real i've seen it you know why i've seen it why god let me see it more than once because i do his commandments i haven't kept them perfectly in my life i'm not saying you you will do it perfectly but it should but but going after god's commandments should be what dominates your life not going after the world not going after sin one or two you can't both sides can't dominate your life all right i remember you know 19 20 years old and i'm seeing the crippled walk in jesus name i'm able to pray for somebody who hasn't walked in two years and i say in the name of jesus christ of nazareth the lord told me to tell you to rise up and walk and they got up and walked and 10 years later they were still walking you don't do that by yourself there's nothing in me that can do that but here's the beautiful thing any true believer that's willing to give up sin give up the world do god's commandments jesus will manifest himself to you and then through you the holy spirit will begin to touch other people's lives that's christianity if if if the power and presence of god in jesus name is not flowing through your life something's wrong you should see that power in that presence in your home you should be casting out demons speaking in tongues healing the sick all the things that jesus said we would do if we have the holy spirit in us amen i like that i'm going to read it again verse 21. he that hath my commandments and keepeth them he it is that loveth me and he that loveth me shall be loved of my father and i will love him and will manifest myself to him
judas saith unto him not iscariot this is not the judas that betrayed him but judah said lord how is it that you will manifest yourself unto us and not into the world and jesus answered and said again if a man love me he will keep my words and my father will love him and we will come unto him and make our abode with him now the word abode means that god will come and live and dwell in you and with you how about that one but again do you see jesus repeats the condition for the promise if you will keep my words that means keep your eye upon them obey them if you will keep my words and you know what the word there keepeth and keep is a present tense greek verb which means an ongoing action a continuous action that's ongoing and taking place in the present so he said if you keep your eye on my word keep obeying my word continually and presently i will come and i will live with you and in you there will be reality of christianity you will know the one true god amen [Music] look at what he said in verse 24 he that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings you see how simple this is how many people tell me oh i love god i've seen them on bourbon street you know i used to go preach from time to time down in new orleans on bourbon street but for that matter at auburn university campus oh i've had them drunk as they can be beer in their hand you know couple with their arms and hands all over each other going into the next frat party oh i love god i love god i have one of them tell me i remember one time i wrote it in my book he said oh yeah yeah we love god he was carrying a cooler he had one beer and one hand cooler another and his girlfriend going there going into one of the big frat parties down in auburn university and he oh yeah yeah i love god i love god my dad is a baptist preacher i'm good i'm what saved i always say i said are you living in sexual immorality you you two in sexual sin yeah and you're drunk and you drink and you do this all the time yeah the bible's playing you don't keep god's commandments no drunkard will inherit the kingdom of god no fornicator will inherit the kingdom of god your daddy lied to you i don't care what he is or who he is he lied to you he wasn't too happy about that but here's what jesus said don't say you love god but you don't keep his commandments right you can holler grace all you want
to this is the red part of my bible right verse 24 he that loveth me not keepeth not my sayings and the word which you hear is not mine but the father which sent me these things have i spoken unto you being yet present with you but the holy but the comforter which is the holy ghost whom the father will send in my name he shall teach you all things and bring all things to your remembrance whatsoever i have said unto you so he's saying when i send the holy spirit to you he's just going to keep reminding you what i said now why do we have to keep being reminded of what jesus said because we're hard-headed our hearts are wicked and our bodies and our flesh want to sin so we have to be keep being reminded what jesus said and what it means and that's why the church has deceived us the greater portion of the church world has deceived the church they've gone with the lie of satan what does satan tell eve in the garden god said you eat this tree you die satan said you don't no you can eat the tree you won't die the church jesus said if you keep my sayings you have eternal life you keep my sayings you have my presence if you don't keep my sins you don't love me and god is not with you church doesn't talk about that i'm sorry folks see we got this problem because we're human there's a deep down seed of rebellion in us we don't like being told what to do well i'm sorry the creator gets to tell us what to do the one who made you informed you in your mother's womb who who gives you breath day by day who can who who gives you life and and actually your spirit has supernatural life in it from god or you couldn't be walking around breathing it belongs to him he can be boss you don't like that you have a problem because what's going to happen is you're going to be your own boss and i assure you you will fail your life will be destroyed because you can't be your own boss listen it's been tested and tried now for about 6 000 years but if you think you can be your own boss and go your own way and it'll all work out go right ahead with your bad self right learn the hard way isn't that right you end up wrecking cars getting shot and that right trey getting run over by trucks and getting shot getting hooked on drugs you hear what i'm saying
keep trying it your own way we need a comforter we need a teacher we need a guide we need help from heaven there's not but one way to get it all right look at this go go to go to uh acts chapter 3. see here's the good news the good news is that if you've been messing it up if you've been royally screwing it up if you've been living in sin if you've been giving in to sin over and over and over again doing things your own way following your own plans being rebellious being stubborn being hard-headed letting your wicked heart lead your life the good news is you can repent now i know i said this before but i want to show you something that god promised true repentance also brings the the tangible presence of god to your life let me show you y'all are y'all ready for this this is peter preaching after the the lame man was healed right [Music] oh let's read from verse 11 and as the lame man which was healed held peter and john all the people ran together under them in the porch that is called solomon's greatly wondering and when peter saw it he answered unto the people and said you men of israel why marvel yet this and why he looked you so earnestly as though we through our own power or holiness has made this man to walk the god of abraham and isaac and of jacob the god of our fathers hath glorified his son jesus whom you delivered up and denied him in the presence of pilate when he was determined to let him go but you denied the holy one and the just and desired a murderer to be granted unto you and you killed the prince of life whom god has raised from the dead whereof we are witnesses and his name the name of jesus through faith in his name hath made this man strong whom you see and know yea the faith which is by him by jesus hath given him this perfect soundness in the presence of you all now all now brother and i know i want that you through ignorance did it as you did our fathers he's saying you through your ignorance you crucified jesus he says but those things which god hath before showed by the mouth of all his prophets that christ should suffer he hath so fulfilled look at verse 19 repent ye therefore and be converted that your sins may be blotted out when the times of refreshing shall come from the presence of the lord oh come on now here peter is preaching to a group of
people who were in the crowd crying out when pilate had barabbas up there the murderer and jesus the lord of all the prince of life who never sinned he had them both standing up there and the crowds out there and pilate says who do you want me to release and the crowd being filled with their evil hearts and their evil desires and listening to the demons and the devil said give us barabbas and then pilate said what shall we do with jesus whom is the king of the jews crucify him this is a group now that was saying crucify him crucify him and and peter stands up to them a little while later and and they they heal a man who's been crippled for many many years that everyone knows has been crippled and jesus heals them through peter and john and peter and john say hey we didn't it's not our power it's not our holiness it's the faith in the name of jesus christ and then he says whom you killed you killed him now guess what that made anybody feel bad right there i mean can you imagine the heads hung low right and yet he says i know through ignorance you foolish people you did this but repent that word is full of meaning yes feel the guilt of your sins what this word means metanoia in the greek this is what it means compunction it means to feel the guilt of your sin to change the way you think and then to reform your whole life your actions how you live so he says if you will repent feel guilty for what you've done turn away from it it says there that your sins will be blotted out wiped away erased covered by the blood of jesus because of god's love and mercy and then he says this and everybody i think misses this part he says and then times of refreshing will come from the presence of the lord meaning whenever you make up your mind to really repent and turn from your own ways and your own sins and your evil he says that times of refreshing and the word refreshing there means revival renewing reinvigorating it's like someone who's who's drowned and somebody's giving them cpr and brings them back to life you're given god's given you new breath a new a new chance and he says times of refreshing will come from the presence of the lord and the presence of the lord means when god really lets you feel and experience his glory and his presence and his power for real in your life how many of you want to feel the real stuff
now let me tell you what happens there's revival in a church when enough people do this and get so filled with god's presence they bring that presence all together in church that was one of the keys to the brownsville revival people came to the brownsville revival i remember standing out in the line for hours before you even could get in the service and the line would wrap around the block over about two blocks and i remember sitting out there and the presence of god would be out there the fear of god would be you could feel this both the joy of in the god's presence and this little bit of fear because you know you just entered a holy atmosphere and you better not be playing around because this wasn't a game and i would see people out there i mean i even we've even heard testimonies that we know people that we know that said i wouldn't even write with god and i was living and i got in that line out there and before the service even started and god started dealing with me about my sin and about repenting and that's why by the time we got in the service everyone was ready see everyone that's revival revival is when jesus shows up his presence shows up that's revival you got to have it in your personal life before church has it amen [Music] go with me go go to psalm 16. i'm gonna go to one more verse i want to show you something because i feel like the lord wants me to wants me to put this on you here this morning this this is the good part of it another good part you know what else comes from the presence of god being in god's presence everybody going to psalm 16. i'll let you get there because i want you to see it for yourself in fact this is the passage that peter quoted in one of his first sermons there in the book of acts about the resurrection of jesus this is what this this is about but here here what what he says here psalm 16 verse 7 i will bless the lord who hath given me counsel my reigns that it means in my heart shall instruct me in the night seasons i have set the lord always before me
because he is at my right hand i shall not be moved therefore my heart is glad and my glory rejoices my flesh also shall rest in hope for thou will not leave my soul in hell neither wilt thou suffer thine holy one to seek corruption this is about jesus not seeing corruption but being raised from the dead verse 11 you will show me the path of life in thy presence is fullness of joy and at thy right hand are pleasures forevermore this is all about jesus and he says that jesus would show us the path of life and that path of life is to obey his commandments right the path of life is to believe in jesus christ as the only savior the only true god the only way to heaven the only redeemer the only blood sacrifice for sin the resurrected messiah the path of life i am the way the truth and the life jesus said no man comes to the father but through me that's the path of life through him but but then the rest of the path of life is to obey him to love him enough to obey him and to walk with him and to go after him he says that's the path of life but look at the promise again he says he will show us the path of life and in his presence is fullness of joy come on folks when you really get right with god and go after god and his presence comes in your life that's where true joy comes from listen i've had new cars i've had a big fancy house with a pool i've had money and been able to do anything and go anywhere guess what that is some of the darkest times in my life i was still depressed i was still tormented i was still vexed i still had all kind of problems things do not give you joy they might make you happy for a fleeting moment that's the way drugs and alcohol work make you happy for a fleeting moment until you wake up with the hangover until you realize that you spent 300 at the bar the night before and didn't realize you did then you realize that your eyes black and your jaw sore because somebody hit you with a chair yes that was me yeah what i'm saying sex
listen only happy for a second just for a few moments and then and then listen if there's sex outside of of marriage between a man and a woman there's there's going to be all kind of guilt and depression and you just connected yourself with all the problems of that other person because you just became one with them so now you've got all their problems weighing down on you because once you have sex with somebody you you become one in the spirit realm so whatever they feel you feel whatever oh yeah that's why so many people are crazy because they've given themselves parts of themselves to everybody else they don't even know who they are anymore they're scattered all over the place they've got other all these other people that they're one with the world is messed up man thank god there's a redeemer amen you know what a redeemer means the word redeem the word redeem means to buy back that which was lost we were you know we were ransomed you hear what you know what that means that means we were kidnapped and the devil was demanding payment you know what jesus did he paid so what a lot of people don't realize is jesus paid the ransom so the devil took off the handcuffs and opened the gate but we sit in the prison with the door open and the chain's off and we sit in the prison now i'll stay a little longer and have a drink no it's outside where there's fullness of joy walk out the door amen i love what he says here he says in your presence god there is fullness of joy and at your right hand there are pleasures forevermore now hear what i'm about to say did we not know that the scripture said jesus when he ascended back to heaven he is set down at the right hand of the glory of the father jesus is set at the right hand so he's saying at his right hand in jesus through jesus there will be pleasures forever heaven is going to be awesome i've seen it three or four times in vision form it is beyond words for me to describe the scene i saw i saw my mother in heaven when she passed away and god spoke to me something i have seen the place i've also seen a vision of hell and the fires of hell
these places are real through jesus i don't understand why we want to hang on to so-called pleasures of sin when those will never last forever you know here's the thing people have problems with what they believe but one thing we all ought to believe and know is true one out of every one will die the human body will not last forever you will die at some point if you are not alive when jesus comes back you i it is appointed unto man wants to die after this adjust we know that everybody knows i will not live in this body like this forever that's a fact even atheists believe that right do you want the pleasures of sin for a season or do you want the pleasures of the presence and power of god through jesus forever it's a simple question simple question god has warned us if we reject the path of life if we reject the commandments of god and jesus then the promise is the promise of another eternity in hell people say well you talk about that you're just trying to scare people no telling you the truth is not trying to scare you like this truth if you climb up on top of a 15 story building and you jump off to the concrete you will die i'm sorry that's the truth what's the lesson don't get up on a 15-story building and jump off right i can't help the fact that if you deny the only way to heaven jesus being his commandments repentance there is no other destination but the flames of hell the worms of hell the torments of hell there is no other place there's no in between there's no purgatory roman catholic no purgatory no such thing as a place in the middle and then you get out if people pay enough money so there could be enough masses said by the pope opponents all this foolishness that's not in the bible man-made doctrines jesus even said doctrines of men are going to damn people to hell for all eternity they bring destruction and death it's simple if you love god you will keep his commandments not just a little while and listen to me if you don't then there's a problem in your heart with loving god
maybe you're mad at god some people are mad at god because he didn't answer a prayer or do something the way they thought he ought to hard to love somebody you're mad at right here's the thing you know what god will even forgive you for being mad at him i was mad at him one time i mean mad mad furious god i prayed i fasted i did my best and you let this happen to me anybody ever been there no but you know what that's like that's like beating your head up against the concrete wall that's been backfilled with concrete right finally after beating my head up against that wall for a while i realized you know the problem's not with him it's with me i had to admit you know what i did i screwed up quite a few times i pretty much brought this on myself and you can't control what other people do no matter how good you may handle the situation you cannot control what someone else does right here what i'm about to tell you there's three people you got to forgive if you got if you got anger and bitterness in your heart you got to forgive yourself got to forgive the person that hurt you and you got to forgive the lord and your perception of him letting it happen and i promise you one thing and i don't know why i'm going down this road but the bad stuff has happened to you even though a lot of it god had nothing to do with it it was evil people doing evil stuff are you screwing up but he promises if you will do turn and you will start following him all those things those bad things will end up working out for your good that incident i was talking about that made me angry at god when it all went through after several years you know what i look back i look back and see how much that trial that i went through made me a better person a better christian as i hung onto jesus and made it through it i even say i don't even like that guy that i was before that bad season i went through i learned a lot of lessons all things work together for good to
those who love god i know people like to quote that verse but they don't usually quote it all right and jesus said if you love me you keep my commandments if you don't love me you don't keep my command simple right commandments are simple don't lie don't steal don't cheat on your husband or wife don't get involved in homosexuality don't be a drunkard whether that's on drugs pot or beer or white or whatever don't be a drunkard they're they're written out plain people say i can't understand the bible you can't understand now shall not commit adultery you don't understand that it's time for english class it's simple do what you get you know you don't understand what the the beast is with seven heads and ten horns and and crawling out of the sea that's fine that's big no big deal what about thou shall not commit adultery what about thou shalt not be a drunkard what about you should not bow down to idols roman catholics what about that let's do what we know is clear and evident and god will take care of the rest matter of fact i found out over the years that if you'll just obey his commandments he'll open up and show you what all the rest of it means amen you got that song show me your glory do you have it if not it's on that the bethel or jesus culture whichever one it is we're gonna do this song show me your glory as we close here this morning and this altar call this morning is going to be simple real simple if you need to repent and ask jesus to forgive you and to get back on the path of life maybe you've never been on it or maybe you've been on it and got off of the path of life this morning is a time to repent and something i found out y'all listen this is from many years of experience a lot of people don't like to get out of their seat or their pew or their church chair or whatever you want to call it they don't like to get out of their seat and they don't like to come forward either they don't just don't want to do it laziness or they worry about what people think or whatever but i'll tell you i've experienced something i don't care it's from the time i was a young kid there's something about getting out of your seat and walking up to the front of the church the presence of god seems to be stronger about right here every time last night when i went up to i went up to the altar to let my brother david copeland pray for me and you know i felt the presence of god on in the anointing on the message that was preached by the brother from texas but it was something different when i
