When the music fades and all is stripped away and I simply come longing just to bring something of worth that will bless your [Music] heart. And I'll bring you more than a song. For a song in itself is not what you have [Music] required. You search much deeper within the way things appear. You're looking into my heart and I'm coming back to the heart of worship when it's all about you. It's all about you, Jesus. And I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it when it's all about you. It's all about you, Jesus. And I'm coming back to the heart of worship. When it's all about you, it's all about you, Jesus. And I'm sorry, Lord, for the thing I've made it when it's all about you. It's all about you, Jesus. [Music] Jesus. Jesus. Well, I just want you. Nothing else. No, nothing else. Nothing else will do. I just want you. Nothing else. No, nothing else. Nothing else will do. Thank you, Lord. Thank you, Jesus. Thank you, Father. Lord, we love you. We worship you, King of Kings, Lord of Lords. Lord, you are worthy of more than we can give you this morning, but we give you what we have, Lord. Thank you, Jesus. Y'all, just tell the Lord that you love him this morning. Thank you, Jesus.
I love you, Lord, and I lift my [Music] voice to worship you, oh my soul. Rejoice. Take joy, my king, in what you bring. May it be a sweet, sweet sound in your ear. Yes, Lord. [Music] Sweet Holy Spirit, sweet heavenly stay right here with us, filling us with your love. [Music] And for these blessings we lift our hearts in praise. Without a doubt we'll know we have been revived when we shall leave this place. Thank you Lord. We are [Music] standing on holy ground. And I know that there are angels all around. Let us pray. Jesus now we are standing in his presence on holy ground. This is holy ground. We're standing on holy ground. For the Lord is here and where he is is holy. This is holy
ground. We're standing on holy ground. For the Lord is here and where he is is holy. Tell him one more time that you love him. I love you, Lord, and I lift my voice. to worship you, oh my soul. Rejoice, take joy, my king, in what you hear. May it be a sweet, sweet sound in your ear. May it be. And may it be a sweet, sweet sound in your [Music] ear. Yes, Lord. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Let's praise the Lord. Thank you, Jesus. We worship you this morning. King of kings and lord of lords, the one who died on the cross for our sins and rose again. He is the living Messiah, the living savior. Amen. Amen. You may be seated this morning. Welcome everyone. Happy resurrection day. Um, first I want to say I I announced this, but some others came in, but I want to announce it again. Uh, just to let you know that Johnny and Julie Parsons are now coming on fulltime as our praise and worship leaders at Fire and Grace Church. And so we thank God for that. God has uh uh we've known them a long time and God's moving and the anointing is on them and we appreciate uh them being willing to jump into this fire with us. All right. The fire and grace is no no doubt about it. There's some fire and then there's some grace, but the fire comes first. Amen. Hallelujah. All right. I want you everybody to take out your Bibles this morning. We're going to cover a lot of territory. You know, I don't just uh I'll do holiday messages, but this will bring in the resurrection of Jesus anyway here
and the crucifixion. But we're going to talk about today the keys of the kingdom. And we're going to do that. And I'm going to have to repeat myself over there some things that I've taught already because there's been some false teaching spread around. So, I'm going to have to deal with it. And so, we're going to get into the word and into deep a little deeper into the Greek than normal this morning. We'll show you what some stuff means. But let's look at Revelation chapter 1. I just want to read this from verse 10. And this is just uh awesome. I love this part here in Revelation. The apostle John writes, "I was in the spirit," capital S mean the Holy Spirit. "I was in the spirit on the Lord's day and heard behind me a great voice as of a trumpet, saying, I am Alpha and Omega, the first and the last. What thou seeest write in a book, and send it unto the seven churches which are in Asia, unto Ephesus, and to Smy Smyrna, to Pergamis, to Thotyra, to Sardis, and unto Philadelphia, and unto Leodysia. And I turned to see the voice that spake with me. And being turned, I saw seven golden candlesticks. And in the midst of the seven candlesticks, one like unto the Son of Man, clothed with a garment down to the foot, and gird about the paps were with a golden girdle. His head and the hairs and his hairs were white as wool, as white as snow. And his eyes were as a flame of fire, and his feet like under fine brass, as if they burned in a furnace, and his voice as the sound of many waters. And he had in his right hand seven stars, and out of his mouth went a sharp two-edged sword, and his countenance was as the sun shineth in his strength. And when I saw him, I fell at his feet as dead. And he laid his right hand upon me, saying, "Fear not. I am the first and the last. I am he that liveth and was dead, and behold, I am alive forever more. Amen. And have the keys of hell and death." You might want to underline that. Write the things which thou hast seen, and the things which are, and the things which shall be hereafter, the mystery of the seven stars, which thou sawest in my right hand, and the seven golden candlesticks. The seven stars are the angels of the seven churches, and the seven candlesticks which thou saw are the seven churches. So Jesus says here when he died, we know according to the scriptures that he went down into Hades into hell, not the suffering side of it, but he went down into the paradise side because he told the thief on the cross, "Today you will be with me in paradise." And we know from the book of Ephesians chapter 4 that it says he
went first that he before he ascended he descended. So, first thing Jesus did is he died on the cross. His spirit and soul went down into paradise and there he preached. And of course, we're not going to go into all that, but part of that, his death, when God Almighty in the flesh shed his blood on the cross, he broke the power of Satan. Now, there was uh my one of my pastors back in the day used to say this in World War II, there was a day that was declared that the war was over, the victory was done. Okay? But then there was about a year before all the fighting stopped. Now that's kind of sounds odd, but it was actually within that time period, not quite a year, that some of the most intense fighting took place. Now, when Jesus said on the cross, "It is finished," he meant, "It's all paid for. It's all done." Now, the dealing with sin, dealing with sickness and disease, the dealing with the curse of the law, the dealing with having power over Satan. Okay? All of that he dealt with, but though he's provided it, it's just like salvation. He's provided it and made it available to everyone. Okay? But you have to believe it in your heart, confess it with your mouth, and you have to walk it out with him, right? And everything in the kingdom of God works the same way. Whether you're talking about spiritual warfare, deliverance, you name it, it works the same way. Now, I want to talk about these keys because he talks about the keys of hell and death, but these are not the only keys that he has given us. So, let's go to Matthew chapter 16, Matthew 16, and we're going to start reading at verse 13. Now, when we talk about keys of the kingdom, and there are several things that I can point out, and there several different keys, but I want you to understand that Jesus only said in the New Testament, two things to do first. Okay? Number one, he said what? He said, "Seek ye first the kingdom of God and his righteousness, and all these
things will be added unto you." Right? Matthew 6:33. And then he said in Matthew 12, "First bind the strong man if you want to spoil his house." And that was in the context of dealing with demons. Somebody say first. That means it's important. Now, think about this. as important it is seeking the kingdom of God and his righteousness, he puts it in the same class of binding demons. And I'm going to talk about this binding demons because one of our now former members started spreading around that it's not biblical to bind demons because she's listening to hardcore Christianity out in Arizona. And I happen to listen to the very sermon that he taught this. So, I'm going to correct this because this is foundational. And in fact, if you don't know how to do this, if you don't know how to bind demons and resist the devil in Jesus' name, if you don't understand this concept, they are going to beat you to death. All right. The demons are going to have a heyday on you and bring deception, destruction, all kinds of problems into your life if you don't know how to do this. And I have been teaching this since day one. Since I came back to Jesus in 1987, I've been teaching this and I've seen doctrines come into the church, the Assemblies of God. I've seen whole denominations, the charismatic church, independent non-denominational churches. I've seen them have the correct understanding of this binding demons. And then I've seen somebody come in and start teaching some foolishness to turn them away from doing that. And that's when that church goes through all kinds of crap that they don't have to go through. Now, remember Dr. Rebecca Brown, one of the things she said in her book, He came to set the captives free in the eight-point plan that Satanists use when they want to infiltrate and destroy a church. One of the things says is teach and change doctrines about the devil. Either stop the teachings altogether about how to fight the devil, about spiritual warfare, or twist them. Okay. Now, let's look and read this in Matthew 16. And I want to say this because I you see, and I've had to deal with this over the years. Some of my my brother actually went to uh what is it? Uh Southeastern Bible College of the Assemblies of God down in Lakeland, Florida. He went there for about a year. two of my friends that I led to Jesus, two of my best friends that I led to Jesus back then, uh, went to Lakeland, um, Southeastern Bible College down there in Florida and graduated. So, when
they would come back to visit, um, they would tell me this stuff they were teaching and in the Assembly of God Bible Colleges, they were teaching that is not biblical to bind the devil. And then they would use this passage and say this passage doesn't mean we should bind demons uh Matthew 16. And what they would say is because Jesus talked about binding and loosing also in Matthew 18 in the context of forgiveness and unforgiveness. So they would move over there and say see this just has to do with forgiveness and unforgiveness. they would ignore Matthew 16 in a way because Matthew 16 is in the context of spiritual warfare or overcoming Satan and his demonic powers. So we need to understand this. So let's read it. See it's not just you know churches out there today all of them going to be talking about the resurrection of Jesus. That's wonderful. But if you don't know how to apply the power and the victory, the authority that he's given us through his death and resurrection, you going to be defeated. All right? This is how to apply it. So when Jesus came into the coast of Cesaria Philippi, he asked his disciples saying, "Who do men say that I, the son of man, am?" And they said, "Some say that thou art John the Baptist, some Elijah, and others Jeremiah or one of the prophets?" And he said unto them, or he saith unto them, but whom say ye that I am? And Simon Peter answered and said, Thou art the Christ, the Son of the living God. And Jesus answered and said unto him, Blessed art thou, Simon Barjonah, for flesh and blood hath not revealed it unto thee, but my father which is in heaven. And I say also unto thee that thou art Peter. Now the word Peter, he changed his name from Simon to Peter. Why? Peter means a little pebble. a little stone. Then he uses term and he says upon this rock Petra the Greek word he says upon this rock which Petra means a massive rock I will build my church and the gates of hell will not prevail against it. He was not saying that I'm going to build my church upon the little pebble of Peter. He's saying, "I'm going to build my church on the massive rock of the revelation of who Jesus Christ is, what he has done, that he is God in the flesh, that he died on the cross as the sinless, perfect sacrifice for our sins, and that he rose from the dead the third day, that he will come again as well." Now, these things about this right here, see this is where the Roman Catholic Church takes these and twists these things and say that Peter was the first pope, but yet Peter was never in Rome. Paul was, but Peter wasn't. And all of that crap is just nonsense. Okay? But that's what they try
to actually the Catholic Church seizes upon this and tries to use this to create their authority or their right to rule over all Christians is what they think. Um I'm sorry I'm still a Protestant. They're not ruling over me ever. But then he says this as he says this. He says, "I say unto thee that thou art Peter and upon this rock I will build my church and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it." Now if I talking to you about building the church and Jesus saying the gates of hell shall not prevail against it. Is that would that be a context of spiritual warfare? Right? I'm not making this not pastor Dean's opinion. It's right here. Okay. Now we go on to say when he says context of spiritual warfare and he says and somebody say and and that means it the thought is continuing here he says because I'm going to give you because the I'm I'm telling you that the the power of hell the gates of hell are not going to prevail. Why? Because and I will give you what the keys of the kingdom of heaven and whatsoever thou shalt bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. And whatsoever thou shalt loose on earth shall be loosed in heaven. Okay. Now, heaven represents the spiritual realm in this passage. Now, what's been taught by hardcore Christianity that brother Mike fella and what teacher started spreading around to some of you was that the word for bound here, whatever you bind on earth shall be bound in heaven. that because that that is a perfect tense Greek verb that means that that is something that's already done in heaven. Therefore, as it goes on to talk about praying and asking for what you want that basically you just agree with it, not necessarily that you do it. And this is why she started teaching this. But here's the problem. Greek gets a little more interesting. And let's go ahead and put up We're going to look at this word bound here. So, put up the uh where it says Matthew 16 and you see the word bound with the verb tense, the definition of perfect. Do you see that picture? There it is. Everybody see that? Now, if you have the blue letter Bible app, it uses the blue letter Bible app in the Greek. It uses uh the Strongs Greek dictionary and the theers and also combines a a biblical usage. But I want to show you you can click on the verb tense. It will bring up the verb tenses and these are the same in my parsing guide of New Testament Greek verbs by Nathan Ehan. This is the same uh basic understanding you get from the Hebrew Greek keyword study Bible. Their Greek verb tenses. So it does say that bound is a perfect tense Greek verb.
This is the what perfect tense means in Greek corresponds to the perfect tense in English and describes an action which is viewed as having been completed in the past once for all not needing to be repeated. Jesus last cry from the cross it is finished is a good example of the perfect tense used in sense. Namely is the atonement has been accomplished completely once and for all. Um, and then it goes on and it says, "Now, there's a few cases of exceptions to this rule." Now, that is true until you do something with this verb. Now, I haven't talked I've talked a lot about I've tried to I've drilled into you guys what present tense is. We haven't spent a lot of time on perfect tense. Okay? So, perfect tense denotes a completed action. So I can see where if you just take this verb by itself, okay, and you can say, "Yeah, that means a completed action. It's already been done." But it's not by itself. Okay, let's look at shall be here. Did I give you shall be? Should say future on it. Should be a shall be one and two. No, that's not it. Shall be. Here we go. There you see it. All right. I got one that's going to zoom in on this right here. But anyway, shall be. What does it say here? If you It's kind of hard to see, but we're going to zoom in the next picture. It says future. Somebody say future tense. Future tense. So, whenever you have a verb, a perfect tense verb, and you put a shall be or will be in front of it, you have changed it. You've changed the verb. It's no longer perfect. Okay? It's future perfect. Let's zoom in. Put up the picture that Yeah. So, everybody sees that shall be. See? Shall be bound. Okay. shall be bound corresponds to the English future and indicates the the contemplated or certain occurrence of an event which has not yet occurred. Everybody see that? Now, hardcore Christianity, brother Mike teaches that be this events already occurred. So, you really don't have to do this binding thing. All right? And and that's why he teaches it because he teaches it with the word bound is a perfect tense Greek verb which again that is correct if you don't have the shall be in front of it. So what he says about shall be is that the King James was translated wrong and it shouldn't be shall be there. But let me assure you that I've looked up the word for shall be and it's supposed to be
there and you trash the King James that ought to tell you everything you ought to know. Because what we find out every time we dig back into the Greek language in the New Testament, we find out it was right every time. Okay. Now, let's go to the uh the ones you put up there. Let's go to the the Greek tenses. So, I go to this site here, Greek Pod 101. I think it's really good. Neat little source here. All right. Go to the next one. All right. Greek tenses are a cornerstone uh chapter for every student of the language. They allow you to refer with ease to actions, present, past, and future. The good news is that the Greek tenses are very similar to those in English, making it easier to adapt. On the other hand, the bad news is is that the Greek language features many different verb groups as well as many exceptions. Kind of like English. We have exceptions. But now, let's keep going. I want you to see this future perfect here. The Greek future perfect tense indicates an action that will have taken place in the future by a certain point in time. So again, it's future perfect. Once you take a perfect tense and put the future in front of it a future tense. It makes it future perfect. Let's go to the next one on this. It says, "As for the future perfect, the only thing that needs to be added is the preposition of will or what is another word for will? Shall. So when shall be is put in front of it, it is future." So when Jesus says whatsoever you shall bind that means in the future shall be bound means in the future. So teacher is wrong. Mike is wrong. Hardcore Christianity is wrong. And every time I I listen to a video, the more I listen, the more wrong I find. Now, like I said last week, I'm not saying that they've never helped anybody, but we don't ignore things that get off wrong because let me tell you, just this issue alone can steer somebody before they know it. And little Miss Cheeter got a little prideful and thinking she was going to correct me about this binding thing. And this what this shows is both rebellion to spiritual authority and it also shows pride and arrogance thinking she going to start teaching us like start teaching Pastor D and me and Pastor Nancy and Nope. You're still a young Christian. You're still This is what blows my mind. All of a sudden you start listening to some dude on the internet and you're an expert at everything. No, you're not. And what I find interesting is how easy it was for them to forsake a church for
a parurch ministry. Now, why am I bringing that up? Because a church is different. A church is a house. It is a covering. It is a household. It is a family. It is a place where, and now I'm not talking about every church. I'm just talking about a true church. It is a place where you are, if you have a good shepherd, it is a place where the shepherd has been anointed and called by God and that there's other people in there anointed and called by God that can help you not get into error. That's the whole purpose of the five-fold ministry and the church. And so if you like Paul said he said this to the Corinthians because the Corinthians were giving Paul a hard time and he said you know though you you may have 10,000 instructors he said but you don't have many fathers and he was making a thing is one of the things it says about spiritual fathers and this is a term used in the Bible in the New Testament. One of the things is is that they had it says they have known the Lord from the beginning. There's a knowing. There's a wisdom. And that's why there is he puts fathers in just not teachers. He He actually warns us. You got to be warned because he said there's going to be so many false teachers and prophets rise up. When something says we're not a church and I'm not really I'm not really big on doctrine, big red flags ought to go up. P you know what is it down at the beach? Double red. Double red flags. I've been in the water when it was one red flag and it nearly tore it nearly ripped me away. I I when double red, I won't touch it. Double red. If you get in, they'll put you in jail. All right. Now, now that we've had our our Greek lesson, let's go back to uh Matthew and let's go back to Matthew chapter 12. You know, I call the the the topic of binding and loosing a spiritual warfare 101. Why do I call it that? Because if you don't get this, you might as well forget winning this battle. It's kind of like a boxer that doesn't know how to punch. I mean, the first thing you're going to learn if you're going to go into boxing is you got to learn how to punch correctly so you don't break your wrist or, you know, get beat up every time you enter. You have to learn to do things the right way. All right? If you're going to resist the devil, the question is, the Bible says resist the devil. You got to ask the question, okay, I'm supposed to resist the devil. How do I do that? Right? And we have Jesus's example. And we have two things. We have Jesus's
example and then what he taught them and told them to do. Okay. Now, um get ready with uh the PowerPoint slides. I'm going to pull up the uh binding and loosing from the fire and grace school of ministry. All right. And by the way, Chetra failed the spiritual warfare class the first time through. If that tells you anything, had to take it again. Even though she's a PhD, she has been struggling with this area. Now, I'm just telling you, I mean, y'all say I'm be y'all might think I'm being mean by calling name, but if you start teaching things publicly and sending emails out to the members of my church with this stuff in it, I'm going to call you out about it. All right? I love Chetra and I love Craig, but they are getting off base with this stuff. All right? They they following the wrong thing, but that's up to them. They're free to do so. Like I say around here, you vote with your feet, right? All right. Matthew 12. Let's go down to verse 22. It's only 12 uh 11:30. We're doing great. That was just the introduction. Y'all ready? All right. Here we go. It says, ' Then was brought unto him one possessed with a devil, blind and dumb, and he healed him in so much that the blind and dumb both spake and saw. And all the people were amazed and said, "Is not this the son of David?" But when the Pharisees heard it, they said, "This fellow doth not cast out devils, but by the prince of the devils." And Jesus knew their thoughts and said unto them, "Every kingdom divided against itself is brought to desolation, and every city or house divided against itself shall not stand. And if Satan cast out Satan, he is divided against himself, how then or how shall then his kingdom stand? And if I by be elabub cast out devils, by whom do your children cast them out? Therefore, they shall be your judges. But if I cast out devils by the spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come unto you. Now, isn't it interesting? He's talking about casting out devils. He's about to talk about binding demons. And he says, "If I do this by the spirit of God, the kingdom has come to you. It's come nigh to you." Why do you think that is? Because you're using the keys. It's kind of like you're unlocking a door and you can go in. You understand? He goes on to say, let's keep, he says, talking about if I cast out devils by the spirit of God, then the kingdom of God has come unto you. Verse 29. Or else how can one enter into a strong man's house and spoil his goods except he first bind the strong man and then he will spoil his house. Then he says, "He that is not with me is against
me and he that scatter gatherth not with me scatterth abroad." All right, let's stop right there. Go over to verse 43. This is in the same chapter. And he says, "When the unclean spirit is gone out of a man, he walketh through dry places, seeking rest, findeth none. Then he saith, I will return into my house from whence I came out. And when he is come, he findeth it empty, swept, and garnished." Then goeth he and taketh with himself seven other spirits, more wicked than himself, and they enter and dwell there. And the last state of that man is worse than the first. Even so shall it be also unto this wicked generation. So Jesus talking about casting out devils. He starts talking about binding the strong man. Somebody say binding the strong man. And then spoiling his house. Now also hardcore Christianity brother Mike teach that your spirit basically cannot be infiltrated and that really it's only your emotions and your flesh that can be uh have demons in them. This is a word of faith teaching. This is something that Hagen and them taught that I don't agree with because we know 1 Corinthians 7:1 says, "Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." In fact, put that one up if you want so everybody can see it. 2 Corinthians 7:1. Um, I've taught it so many times that I don't have to look at it anymore. All right. So, your spirit can be open because listen, second Corinthians 2 Corinthians 7:1. Yeah. I'm sorry. I think I might have said first the first time, but it's 2 Corinthians 7:1. All right. Perfecting holiness. Now again, they teach and this was a doctrine that came out. I think what it it came out because people just didn't want to say flat out a Christian can have a demon in them. Okay, that just was a more comfortable way of trying to ease people into this that they might need some help in the area of deliverance for Christians because it's been taught Christians can't have demons period by Baptist, Methodist, Presbyterian, Assemblies of God, Church of God. I mean, it's been taught for so long and so many people didn't get help. So, but again, just because you want to try to ease people in doesn't mean you should teach something that's not correct. Okay? Because I've had Christians that people that got saved, they came out of hardcore Satanism or they came out of the New Age movement or they came out of doing Eastern meditation and visualization techniques and they learned how to uh astral project out of their bodies through those techniques.
And that didn't immediately go away when they got saved. those demons that they invited in have to be bound, torn down those strongholds and cast out in Jesus' name. And I've had Christians like there was one uh kid I led to the Lord back way back when and he had been into this stuff. He he had even dabbled a little in Satanism, but he had been into the meditation and visualization and all that stuff. And he got saved. I mean, he got born again. He got filled with the Holy Spirit and he was but he was still tormented all the time and and constantly seeing into the spirit realm and seeing things that were scaring him and agitating him and he was constantly being messed with and he was seeing in the spirit realm frequently like like sometimes all during the day when you try to go to sleep at night and finally I mean he was looking kind of frazzled. you you know you go through that for a while and you don't sleep you you know you become kind of frazzled and one day he asked me for a ride home from somewhere and I gave him a ride home and he started telling me he said I'm still seeing in the spirit and I'm still feel like they're trying to pull me out of my body and he goes they're they're tormenting me and keeping me awake and I said have you severed that demonic link between your soul and spirit that you put there you know the third eye opening I said have you dealt with that have you done any deliverance for that. He said, "No." I said, "I just reached over and laid my hand on his shoulder in the car and said, in Jesus' name, I break the link, the demonic link between soul and spirit. In Jesus name, I bind the demons right now, the power demons, the familiar spirits, the spirit guides that came in. I bind these demons that came into him, allowing him to see the spirit realm. I bind these demons, break their power, tear down their strongholds, and command them to go out of him in Jesus name. Immediately, I said, Lord, I ask you to close this doorway. It was open. Because, see, you're only supposed to see in the spirit realm when God sovereignly moves upon you to see, not when you decide to see through new age or Hindu or Buddhist techniques. And he went home that night and slept like a baby. He went home and he said it all. So he told me later, he said it all stopped that night. Now that didn't mean he didn't need more deliverance because his other things in his life like sexual sin and drugs, he still needed to complete an area. But you get what I'm saying? That was in his spirit, man. So don't tell me a demon can't have you can't have an unclean spirit in your spirit. You can. All right? I've seen it too many times. And that verse right there proves it because he's telling Christians to cleanse yourself. And I've said this many times over. Somebody, somebody got a piece of paper. Anybody? Let me have a piece of
paper. I'm going to show you this. Thank you, ma'am. All right. Here we go. I've told you this many, many times. Let's do it. But for those out there that are new, all right, let me explain deliverance for you. All right. Two things happen when you sin. You open a doorway. Sexual sin, a cult, messing with witchcraft or sorcery or of any kind. Um, just to name a few. But let's just use the sin of going to a fortune teller. You open that doorway, there's a sin because you're disobeying God's word. So, you sin by going to the fortune teller who has a familiar spirit. And the moment you do that, a doors open and the sin goes in your your heart. It's not just in your mind or your body. It goes into your spirit because really the messing with the occult is a spiritual sin. It's not just emotional or mental. It's a spiritual thing. So you go and you pick up spirits of divination, familiar spirits, right? The sin goes in and now come the familiar spirits. the spirits of divination, the spirits of witchcraft, and then you walk around like this, and then let's just say you're whether you're a Christian when you do this or you're not. Well, let's just say you're not, and you do these things, you still get the same thing, the sin and the demons, right? So, let's say you come to Jesus or you're a Christian that finally realizes it was sin and I need to repent. What you do is what? 1 John 1:9. Let's put that up. 1 John 1:9. Just remember 2 Corinthians 7:1. 1 John 1:9. What does it say? If Jordan, if somebody say if. If. What does that mean? It means if. All right. It's conditional. That's good. If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just to forgive us our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. So when we go to Jesus say, "Lord, I recognize that I sinned by going to the fortune teller. I ask you to forgive me of the sin." The Bible says Jesus is the one who cleanses you from the sin. Okay? But there's something else here. There's something else unclean still here. Nowhere does it say here that when you are saved or forgiven that it automatically deals with this the demons. That's where we go back to 2 Corinthians 7:1. We have a cleansing that Jesus does by his blood cleansing of sin. And then we have one that we are to do by taking
the authority we have in Jesus' name to bind the unclean spirits and cast them out. That's why he says, "Having therefore these promises, dearly beloved, he's talking to Christians. Let us which he includes himself, cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit, perfecting holiness in the fear of God." Somebody say spirit. There it is. So that's more error they're teaching over there. And if you're not addressing this specifically, then people are going through deliverance and not getting delivered. Here's but here's what you do. You've gone to the fortune teller and you've asked God for forgiveness and Jesus has washed the sin away by his shed blood. And then you say in Jesus name, I bind the strong mans of divination and witchcraft. familiar spirits because why are the I say these are strong men because these are the demons mentioned in the Bible. I bind those demons in Jesus name because Jesus said why do we do that? Because Jesus said do it first. Well then how do we do it? Well if you don't speak it out of your mouth it doesn't get done because that's how you deal with spirits. Jesus said we cast out spirits. He cast out spirits with his word. We're going to put that up in just a second. In fact, go ahead and put up the first slide number 10 on the binding and loosing. We'll start there. Just just hang on for a second. All right. But then you say, I bind these demons, the strong men, familiar spirits, divination spirits, witchcraft, sorcery. I bind these demons. I break their power. I tear down their strongholds out of me. And I command them to leave. And watch this. They'll leave. And then see my fingers like this is a for a reason because you opened the doorway. And then what we say is Lord Jesus we ask you to close that doorway and seal it back up. Seal that hole in the hedge that I broke. And he does. Now I've been doing this for 38 years. It works. All right. It works if you're truly repentant. If you're truly following Jesus. If you're serious about doing this, doing the word works. You understand? And I'm going to give you this verse here. Okay? Of course, the Lord's given us power to tread on serpents and scorpions and over all the power of the enemy. So, we have power. Somebody say, "Over all." Over all, we have power or authority. Maybe it'll go. Let's keep going. This was, of course, Jesus gave this to the 70. I'm trying to get down to one here. Maybe I'll find
it. There it is. Matthew 8:16. And when the evening was come, they brought unto him many that were possessed. Now this word, you know, in English we we think of the word possessed as meaning totally and completely controlled like the, you know, the exorcist girl spitting pea soup and your head spinning around and you're growling and you're killing priests and all kinds of stuff. Nope. That's not does it mean? It means to be demonized. It means to be tormented. And there are degrees of this. The woman that had the spirit of infirmity only had one demon, but it was causing her a physical arthritic crippling. Okay? But she wasn't totally controlled. She wasn't the gathering demoniac who had thousands of demons in him. And then Mary Magdalene we know only had from Luke 8, she only had what? Seven demons in her. So you can go from one to seven or thousands. But there are degrees of demonization and torment that can come in your life if you are opening doorways. But the way we deal with these evil spirits is by our words. Giving you an illustration. Some of you know this. There was a person in my family that you know for years has just hated me with a passion. But but they're full of demons. So most people that are full of demons don't like me. and they don't even know why. Um I've had people that are possessed with demons walk up and say, "I know who you are." Like, "Hey, I know you do." Right? So, demons are irritated by people who have the anointing and who understand their authority and who have cast out demons. They know, right? They know you're a danger to them. They start freaking out. Um, but anyway, this person, she didn't like me at all. But long story, I won't get into it, but she came into my yard, cussing me out, cussed some of my church members out at the time that were there visiting us. I'm just like this neighbor cussing my church members out. I mean, cussing in front of children, right? Just fully, right? And I had to get on the phone. There was an issue. So I'm on the phone with somebody. We're all standing out in the front yard. She's cussing up storm and fre and you know screaming. I'm nowhere near. No one's anywhere near. My wife is up on the porch with our church members probably a good hundred feet from her and just says under her breath, I bind the demons in said her name. I bind the demons in her. Her feet flew out from under her. She landed on her butt. The demons shut I mean that shut their mouths. Quit talking. Got up, walked off my property, and didn't come back for six
months. Don't tell me it doesn't work. It works. But what is binding? Let's look at it here for a second. Let's go back. Let's go to Mark 16. Go to verse 15. We're going to read there. Going to show you there's two different things here. There's casting out demons and they're suspending the activity of Satan for a time. That's what binding is. Somebody say binding is suspending their activity for a certain time and they teach Yeah. do it silently in your mind. And Jesus said the hardcore do this some of this stuff silently in your mind. You you Yes, she sent it. They can put it up. You can play it. Oh, you sent me the Okay. Anyway, you have to speak it. You do these things with your with your words. You resist. Now, I think the Lord will make uh an accommodation for somebody who can't speak. I'm sure he will. But bottom line is if you can talk, it should be coming out of your mouth. Right now he said unto them, "Go ye into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature." He said, "He that believeth and is baptized shall be saved. He that believeth not shall be damned, and these signs shall follow them that believe in my name. They shall cast out devils." Casting out, right? He says they shall cast out devils. They shall speak with new tongues. That means never known before. So that's unknown tongues. They shall take up serpents. That that right there. Underline that right there. And if they drink any deadly thing, it shall not hurt them. They shall lay hands on the sick and they shall recover. Yes. All this. Yeah. This from verse nine, I think it is. All this your your modern Bibles say that this wasn't in the original manuscripts, but it was uh it just wasn't in the Catholic manuscripts, the Roman Catholic manuscripts because they don't like this. Okay, but here it is. When it says they shall take up serpents, we got cast out demons, take up serpents, two different things. So there are churches, you know, up in Tennessee, there might have been some up in North Alabama, Mississippi, uh, that took this literally in the sense of
we're going to handle real snakes, rattlesnakes, to show you our faith. That is so not what this means. Okay. Um, I saw one guy handling the rattlesnake, a video of it, and got bit right in the face. Pretty sure you're going to die if you do that right there. And he was in serious trouble. I've seen people bitten on their arms and stuff and they've lost their arm and hand. It's not a game, okay? There not Jesus just said back in Luke 10:19, we read it. I give you power to tread over all the power of the enemy. What? You shall tread on serpents and scorpions. He's just using that as a term for demon spirits and fallen angels. Okay? And those are two different things. But just get this real quick here. When he says they shall take up serpents, the Greek word verb there, take up, everybody say take up. I can you say in Greek aero. Aro. Aero. All right, that's the Greek word and it means to suspend. So, anybody watch some of these nature shows like the crocodile hunter before he possibly passed away? um some of these other people. If you got to deal with a serpent, and they teach our army rangers and special forces this, if they're in the bush and they got to be quiet and they got to deal with a poison, you've got to grab it tightly right behind its head. as close as you can get it to the the the front and control it so it can't use its body to turn and twist and and bite you. And so when they do that, when you grab a serpent by its head and suspend it, that's what this word means, suspend. It can't do anything. All right? But you can't hold it forever. You got to get on with real life, right? So this is why again it's not permanent. It's a temporary stopping, suspending. And here's what's interesting. The word in Greek, the word aero, doesn't just mean to suspend or lift up. I wish I needed a plastic snake today. Doesn't mean to to lift up. It also means by you do this by raising the voice. This is in the Strongs. I don't did I I don't know if I had that in this or not. Let me see here the PowerPoint again. I don't know if I had
it. Nope, I didn't have it. Anyway, you can look it up. The Strongs, it'll actually say besides AIO for the word take up, it will say raise the voice. So, it's talking about what? Speaking, suspending or stopping that serpent. See, they put I've heard now, maybe this is a rumor, I don't know, but at Fort Benning, I've heard that they put our rangers in a pit, army rangers in their training and throw a snake down in there and that they got to get control of it so it doesn't bite them. and they got to get control of it and get it out of there so that they don't have to uh you know go to the hospital and get antivenenom. All right. Now, that's going to be a suspension. Um and we had a three-hour discussion in my office with Craig and Jeter the other day, and I had to explain some of this. We had to go through some of this because the then the the idea came up. Well, we don't we probably we shouldn't bind demons in other people. No, you shouldn't cast out demons in other people until you know they're ready. Binding them is different. You can temporarily suspend the activity of a demon in a person that's where the demon's blinding their minds. You can temporarily suspend it by binding it and it will allow them to have a clear free mind to hear the gospel. And why is this? Let's put up second Corinthians chapter let's see here. What is it? Three, I think. No, four. Yes. Go to second Corinthians chapter 4. Y'all don't mind teaching this morning, do you? Some of you just glad it's not you, right? Huh? Oh, the aero. Yeah. Put that up for everybody so they can see. The Greek word for take up in Mark 16 is right here. See right here says take up. Man, that's the It's terrible. But it does say right here to keep is suspense. Keep in suspense. And then where is it? I'm looking for it. Yeah, there it is. Yeah. To raise up from the ground. Take a Yeah. Where is it? Right. Right. Oh yeah, there I see it. Okay, y'all can pull it up. It says to raise the voice to spend. So you you got that. Now we go to second Corinthians. This is another reason why this is so
important. All right, because we we have been told that we are to go forth and be a light and a witness. Uh second Corinthians 4. 2 Corinthians 4. We're to go forth and be a light and a witness and to set the captives free. That's as a as a Christian, that's our job. Okay? And we're that means we're to preach the gospel. But the Bible tells us that something's going on in these people's minds that's hindering them from the gospel. And y'all know it. How many How many have preached the gospel to somebody and they've likem Okay, so we've all experienced that. Well, there's a reason why. Let's read it here. Now I'm going to start at verse one. Therefore, seeing we have this ministry as we have received mercy, we faint not, but have renounced the hidden things of dishonesty, not walking in craftiness, nor handling the word of God deceitfully, but by manifestation of the truth, commending ourselves to every man's conscience in the sight of God. But if our gospel be hid, it is hid to them that are lost. In whom the god of this world, see that? Satan, the small, the power of darkness hath blinded the minds of them which believe not, lest the light of the glorious gospel of Christ, who is the image of God, should shine unto them. Now, I've shared this before, but this is, let me tell you how my mom got saved. My mom came home one night cussing us out, drunk, half drunk. My stepdad was really drunk, pulled a gun on me. My brother and I are going back and forth with them. We finally get the gun away from my stepdad. Yes, I had a dysfunctional family. We get the gun away from him, get him in bed, passed out, drunk. My mom is still yelling in the kitchen. I'm dealing with my stepdad pointing a gun at me. My mom's in the kitchen yelling at my brother. My brother though he was probably at the time 17 or 18 something like that. He was he had just read Dr. Rebecca Brown's book. He came to set the captives free and where she talks about binding the demons and rebuking the demons in people so they can hear the gospel. And he just went off to my mother. He said I just bind the demons in you in Jesus name right now. Command you to shut up. She just looked like something slapped her across the face because I walked in about that moment. Let me tell you, she got quiet. She shut her mouth. She sat down at the table and we had a peaceful conversation and shared the gospel with her that night and she listened without arguing, without cussing for like two hours. But I knew the job wasn't finished. So I prayed some more that night. Told my brother to and sister that morning, y'all go ahead and go to church without me. It was a Sunday
morning. My stepdad got called into work on a Sunday. I was like, "Glory to God." And I talked to my mom and led her to Jesus that morning. She was born again. And I asked her because I thought maybe she had gotten saved in the past. You know, when she was laying on her deathbed about to go home, I said, "Mom, when did you get born again the first time?" I mean, you know, really born again. She says, "That morning you prayed with me right after Christmas." So don't tell me we're not supposed to bind demons. Don't tell me that it it's no good. You can stop You can't stop everything. We can't stop everything. The world's going to be the world. But boy, can you stop a lot of stuff? At least suspend it for a while. You hear me? And let me just go on and say this to you. Stop falling for every wind of doctrine that blows through. This is something that if you are part of this church, you should instead of spending hours and hours and hours on videos of somebody you don't know, you might go back and find out that I've been teaching this stuff for going on 17 years in this church from the beginning and trying to stick to what the word says and not octopuses coming out of your head and all this other nonsense. And see a lot of the reason too I think people get caught up in some of this is because look a church has to focus on multi- things. We are not just one thing. We we we're not just a biblical cosmology church. We're not just a deliverance church. We're not just a healing church. We're not we have to cover because a church is supposed to give you a balanced diet, not just focus on one thing. So some of you get bored if it's not the thing the topic that you like or to get you excited, get your serotonin up. But it doesn't mean you don't need it. And you know, I look at this that's gone down in this last week. I'm not even upset at them. I'm upset for them. Because it's like a couple of teenagers that start learning something and then
they think they know better than their parents. And then they're like, "Well, we're going to go out here and live on our own." Oh, go ahead. We'll see how that works, right? You left your home that you're loved and where people want to care for you and protect you and make sure you don't get into these errors. And it just it just makes me sad. And it's not like that we're a ministry that doesn't believe in deliverance because we do. We teach it. We do it. But see, there are deliverance ministries that do not stick to the Bible on some things. They get off into weirdness. Now, God will use them sometimes because people run into them and that's people are are desperate and God it will use a donkey if he has to. Okay? But let me just like I said before, I got helped. I got saved in little North Side Baptist Church down here when I was 11 and 12 years old. and I was truly born again. So God used that Baptist church in my life. But that doesn't mean I'm to ignore the errors that they are in after that about the Holy Spirit, about deliverance, about all these things. I'm I I have to grow and keep staying in the word. So, there was no way that I could have stayed in that Baptist church and be what I am now. You get what I'm saying? I love the fact I got saved there. I'm not ashamed of that. I got saved in a Baptist church, but I needed the baptism of the Holy Spirit with the evidence of other tongues. I needed to know how to bind and cast out demons. I needed to know about the truth of our creation, biblical cosmology. I needed to know that. I needed to keep following God in his word. Okay? Now, there are people right now crying out all over this country. I can't find a local church. Yet, they will run after every teacher that comes along. Beware of this every new thing. But they help me. Okay, it's fine. Great. I thank God for that. But what are they teaching? Where is some of it leading? See, I I told y'all a few Wednesday nights ago. I scared some of you to death that I'm going to do my job. And my job as a pastor, a shepherd, a five-fold minister, my job, according to Ephesians 4, is to try to keep you from being blown about by every wind of doctrine, by the cunning craftiness of those who lie and wait to deceive. And remember, deceivers who
come in the name of Jesus, any deception that comes will always be accompanied by some truth. There's always some truth in there. But you hear them talk about anybody, and I've said this before, they start talking about doctrine's not my thing. Run. It's funny how doctrine is not his thing, yet he teaches all the time. Because doctrine simply means teaching instruction. So you're trying to teach doctrine while telling people we shouldn't be concerned with doctrine. meaning don't really scrutinize what I'm teaching. And I found out somebody says, you know, like I showed you on their little miracle list, say one thing, right? The demons put a curse on you. Demons don't put a curse on you. People put a curse on you or God puts a curse, but demons don't put a curse on you. But to make that statement and then put beside it scriptures that don't even apply. And people look at go, "Oh, look. It's Bible verses that go with this. Did you look them up? Did you see if they went with it?" No. That's problematic. I I just again, it blows my mind. You guys should know. Anything you hear, you better start checking. I've told you to check me. But I'm going to do my best to bring the receipts. I'm going to do my best. Hey, if I'm wrong about something, I admit it. I admitted I was wrong about the whole creation thing that I had been deceived. And I repented and I fixed that and I went through the word again and reestablished what the truth is about the nature of creation. And then God had me write a 479 page book about it. I did some study. I will study this. I will study the Hebrew. I will study the Greek. I will do my best to try to protect you from the wolves and the error. But you're not always going to like it because I'm going to have to name names. And Paul did this. Himaeus, Phileitus, Deeus hath left me, has forsaken me and loved this present world. I'm going to deliver Himaeus and Phileas to Satan that they may learn not to blaspheme. Titus and Timothy, I left you in to command those that they teach no other thing. Titus and Timothy were to go to correct error. told him if they won't shut up. A heretic after the first and second admonition reject knowing he have subverted. There are mouths that must be stopped who are teaching things that are false for money's sake. That's the job of the
ministers. So if you don't like me for doing my job, you really aren't going to like what you find out there. Because what I'm finding, it's getting more and more deceptive, more and more subtle, more and more slight things just mixed in. Just like today, we found out he loves to say, "Mother Mary, mother Mary, mother Mary, mother Mary. I'm like, I don't want to ever say mother Mary. And when you when you couple he likes to say mother Mary coupled with a weak stance about the Catholic Church. When I say weak basically none, it actually sounds like he's promoting it. Now he may not. I'm not saying he does, but if you make it sound like you are, then you're going to mislead people. And so you say, some people say, "Well, Pastor Dean, you should go to him." Oh, no. I don't have to. You know why I don't have to? Anybody that starts teaching publicly can be publicly corrected and rebuked. It's one thing to have a private issue in your life and we need to talk privately first. It's another thing when you've been feeding the body of Christ a bunch of half-truths or some lies or some falsehoods while you mix in truth with it. You need to be rebuked and corrected. I hope he sees this. He may not like it. Don't care. I've been saved twice as long as as he has been doing it a lot longer. I you know that's one of the things I thought when the whole Greg Lock and the Demon Slayers came out. I was like where y'all been? Like this was something new. I'm glad y'all finally figured it out cuz some of us been doing it since the 80s. It's not some new fad. But you know, you can make it. You Let me just say this, too. This is another thing about our church. I don't try to make a show out of things so I can get attention and raise money. I don't try to put people I'm casting demons out of who are manifest. I don't want to put them on, oh, get the cameras out. Make sure we film this. I could have filmed one after Skyfall that would have freaked all of you out. But you know what? Where it happened? Privately in my office with her family and with me and Nancy. Because I'm not trying to make a show out of it. I'm not trying to say,
"Oh, here. Look, see what God's doing. Send us a a big check." And in fact, it grieves my heart when I see people that are going through dealing with demonic problems in their lives made a spectacle. It It really It really hurts me. I just like that's such a private issue. I know some of the deliverance happened in public. Sometimes it will happen out in open. somebody starts demons start talking through them. Well, here we go, you know. But for the most part, ministering to people like this should be a private thing. That's why I'm not doing, you know, 500 live streams every day. I'm not I'm not trying to use trying to get famous and rich. I'm not trying to do that. And so for some people if they don't see a lot of stuff happening. Oh, we're going to go over here where there's testimonies. Do you know if I started lining up testimonies for the last four decades, we could do hours and hours and hours of service. I could read the ones I get. And do you have I know it's 15 after, but do you have the access quick to the Gene May prophecy? I want you to play it real quick. Gan May was a true prophet. He's still alive. He's an older gentleman now. He's some of you met him. He came to Skyfall 2020 in his 80s now. But this is the prophecy he prophesied over me in 1989 on November 19th, 1989. And the reason I'm going to play this, some of you heard it, some of you hadn't. I play it at our graduations of our fire and grace ministry school students. But I want you to listen to something because I want to make a point. Listen closely to what he says. The pro, this was spoken of. I never met the man. That was the first day we ever met. It was in a service. He walked past me. The Lord told me I was next. He turned around and walked back up the aisle, laid his hand on my shoulder, and he spoke these words over me, and he never met me. You got it. Hallelujah. Hallelujah. Lord, I thank you for this, brother, and I thank you for the commitment. You know, brother, this is what I see. I see you before God and I see you kneeling there before the Lord in a absolute contrition, absolute dedication unto him. Just putting your life there saying, "God, it's yours." And God's taking you up on it. God's placed a calling upon your
life. God's going to have you teach. There's a teaching anointing that's going to come upon you that will be very powerful in the body of Christ. God says a teacher and my five-fold ministry you will be because of the things that I'm stirring inside of you. This is not a day of release, but this is a day of preparation for you. But there will be a day of release when I will launch you and I'll push you forth, says the Lord, and you'll walk forth in my anointing and my power, and you shall teach. But there shall not be the things that all would expect. But there will be the things of God that will set and the captives free and liberate my body to be what I've called it to be. For you will train many others that will go forth, and they too shall teach, and they shall break the strongholds of the enemy by that taught word, says the Lord. Hallelujah. The part I wanted you to really get was he said, "They will break the strongholds of the enemy by that taught word." The power of correct, sound biblical teaching, if you will simply put it to practice, is what will break the strongholds of the enemy. You hear me? It can be done. You can do it. I've seen it too many times. You say, "Well, Pastor Dean, I've I've I've gone through this or that and I've still struggled." Well, guess what? Maybe you just hadn't learned something you need to learn. That's okay. Learn it. Seek God for it. Tell him to show me where where's the open door. What do I need to do? Show me. Teach me what I need to to know. And the Lord will do it. He will show you. He will lead you. He will He's promised if you will seek him, you will find him. If you ask, he will guide you into all truth. Amen. And you know, I play that too to show here that that was November 19th, 1989. I was a very young man. I was about to turn 22. So I was 21. And God was teaching me these things then. like I had just led this the the girl out of Satanism and dealt with her for over a year and and learning all this in the scriptures and putting it into practice and going on the street and witnessing and the Lord spoke that over me. So what the reason I bring it up is because you're seeing the fulfillment of it now. You're seeing our church and ministry touch hundreds of thousands of lives over the last 16 years. It's
really into the millions with the videos, the debate, the conferences. It is insane. Be and we would and I have a lot of the evidence of how many people we were reaching especially before they terminated my YouTube channel in 21. So what I'm saying is God is doing exactly what he told me through a prophet, a prophetic word 36 years ago. This is not some fly by night thing here. We've been in Opalikica and Auburn doing this church now 16 years. We're not going anywhere. We're not changing anything. Now, we're going to build a church. We got 15.6 acres. We're going to build a church. And let me just say this. I know I never do this, but the Lord laid on my heart. I got to do this before I go. The Lord just told me that somebody is going to uh I'm I'm to say somebody's out there that's supposed to write a check for a million dollars to build the church just to build it because that's what it's going to cost. We figured out anywhere between $800,000 and a million dollars. So somebody is supposed to do that. That's it. And if they don't, they don't. But somebody the Lord's going to nudge to do that because they got it. And he even said that he's going to speak to him and say, "You know, that's why I gave you all these millions of dollars that you have cuz you're supposed to give them one." Okay? Because I'm not going to the bank and borrow money from the Rockefellers or the Rothschilds. I'm not doing it. Okay? So, there's some Christian out there that loves this ministry that's going to write a check and we're going to just go build it. All right? And I'm just going to leave it at that. Amen. All right, let's stand. And who knows, it may be somebody that will see this later on down the road. But I said, I will not go in debt. I will not borrow money from the banksters. It's not going to happen. I'm not going to sit and preach freedom in a church owned by the Rockefellers or Black Rockck or Vanguard. I'm not going to do it. All right. So, $1 million. Thank you. All right. Amen. Let's pray. Father, we thank you so much for all your blessings. We thank you, Lord. We know you're our provider and you provide when it's time, when you want it, not when we want it. We love you. Uh Lord, even building this church, Lord, if you want it, you will move on people and provide for it. If you don't, you won't. That's fine. I don't care. Um, however you want to do. We pray your kingdom come and your will be done. I pray more than anything, Lord, that you will ground people in your word. You will convict people, people that are straying and getting into error, Lord,
whether it be just a little bit getting off, that you'll draw them back, that they'll stick to the word and sound doctrine, not subtle false teachings. And Lord, I ask you to draw and bring the people here that are supposed to be at Fire and Grace Church. And if if they're not, then Lord, send them where they're supposed to go.
