You are the Everlasting Father, the Mighty God, the Prince of Peace, the Wonderful Counselor. Lord, You are our everything. We thank You for the blood You shed on the cross. We thank You that You rose from the dead on the third day. You conquered hell and death. Lord, for those of us that would believe that would take up our cross and follow You, Lord, through the blood of Jesus and the word of our testimony and loving not our lives unto death, we can overcome Satan in this world and sin and this whole system that is antichrist. Lord, we thank You today for all that You've done. And it's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen. Hallelujah. You may be seated this morning. We welcome everyone. Fire and Grace Church. Well, I had a couple of things I thought I was going to do. I'm not going to do either one of those things this morning. You know, as we were singing that last song there, Running After You, Thirsty For You, Hungry For You, I just thought about a verse that came to my mind. And, brother, I want to tell you this verse, this passage is for you. Because when the Lord spoke it to me over there and gave it to me over there, He said, you just tell Saul that this is for him. Let's everybody turn to Psalm 37 this morning. Psalm 37. So everybody had two messages, different messages planned this morning. Didn't know which one. This is the third that I didn't know about. Let me get there myself. I'm thinking before jumping ahead. Psalm 37. Everybody there? And let's go to verses 23 and 24 this morning. I want to tell you this morning that I'm glad that I live in the new covenant. I'm glad that Jesus, when he came at that last supper, that Passover meal, took that cup and said, this is the New Testament in my blood, which is shed for many. I'm glad that he took that bread and he said, this is my body that is broken free. I am grateful that we are not under the system anymore of the blood of bulls and goats that were a shadow of things to come. They were just to teach us, as Leviticus 17 says,
that the life of the flesh is in the blood. The Lord said, I have given it to you upon the altar to make an atonement for your souls. All things are cleansed, all sin, all uncleanness. It takes blood to cleanse it away. And I'm thankful that the blood of bulls and goats was only a shadow of things to come. Because God, in eternity past, decided that he would take on the form of human flesh at a certain time in history so that he could live as us, live a sinless life, and then willingly lay down his life and shed his holy, spotless, sinless blood to wash our sins away, to make a way that all sin could not just be covered, but it could be washed away. And I'm thankful today that because of this new covenant, because of the blood of God, the blood of the Lord Jesus Christ, that I don't have to be perfect. I don't have to be sinless. Now, I should strive for it. I should press toward that mark. I should want to be because I want to be close to Him and I want to please Him. But I'm thankful today that even if I fall, He's not ready to throw me aside. And He knows the difference between someone falling and someone going to live in sin. He knows the difference between someone struggling and someone playing games. God is not deceived. But I am grateful today for the blood of Jesus Christ. I am grateful today as what Paul called in Romans, the gift of righteousness that comes through His blood, through faith in His blood, that I don't have to go to a high priest, a Levitical high priest and bring a bull or a goat or a lamb. I'm grateful for that today. I love the new covenant. And I'm not going to try to mix it with the old because it's new. And Hebrews 8 says we have a better covenant with better promises. We have a new covenant and it is through the shed blood of Jesus. And it is by faith, not by the works of the law. And people call this heresy now. They want to go back and try to keep 613 Old Testament laws they can't keep.
But I'm grateful today for the blood of Jesus. Now I want to read this verse right here, these two verses. And remember, we may look at it in a minute, but Revelation 12, 11 says we overcame Him. We overcome Satan. He's talking to me the verse before that old serpent, the devil, Satan, the one that deceives the whole world. Says we overcome Him by the blood of the lamb, the blood of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, by the word of our testimony because we love not our lives unto death. We're willing to lay down our lives for that truth and for that faith and for that relationship with Him. And we overcome Him. I want to show you this right here. This is absolutely one of my most favorite passages right here, this verse in the south, this is for you. Here's what it says. Psalm 37, verse 23. The steps of a good man are ordered by the Lord and He delighteth in His way. Though He fall, He shall not be utterly cast down for the Lord upholdeth Him with His hand. I want you to understand that right there. The steps of a good man are ordered of the Lord. Now let me just tell you, I looked this up in Hebrew yesterday and when it says here the steps of a good man, if you notice maybe in your King James that the word good is in italics, meaning it's not in the original text, but they're just putting it in there to try to help give some understanding, some context, some description. But when you look this word up, it's not just man here. It means valiant man. It means warrior. It means one who is gonna fight for the Lord, the one that loves the Lord enough to be a warrior, a soldier, a fighter who's gonna fight to run after Him, to fight to stay true to Him, to fight to stay with Him. And guess what the good news of the gospel is? The good news of our Creator is this, is that if you love Him, if you run after Him, if you believe Him, if you're willing to change your ways, if you're willing to repent, if you're willing to take up your cross and follow Him, and you're running after Him, even if you fall down, even if you make a big mistake, even if you blow it, it doesn't mean it's over. It doesn't mean it's over. We serve a supernatural God, a miracle God, a God of mercy and compassion and patience. And He knows if you love Him with all your heart and if you're running after Him with all your heart. And I wanna tell you, there's nothing more that He will honor and bless and forgive and help the man or the woman that's a warrior, that's valiant, that's ready to run after Him.
Man, let me tell you, the steps, the steps of a warrior, the steps of a valiant man or a woman are ordered by the Lord. Now listen to this part. He delights in your way. We don't think about that too often, do we? That God delights over us. He looks down just like we look down. You know what? Just a minute ago, when you told your little baby, she went over to touch the guitar over here, and Sal told a little baby, no. And she's little, how old is she? One year or so, one year old. He said, no. And she took her hand back and turned around and obeyed her dad. And I thought, boy, that just delighted you, didn't it? It delights you to see that. Now I know she's not a perfect little child, is she? But it delights you when you see that. You see the little joy in her. She didn't have a problem with that. She didn't fuss, she didn't cry. She went and ran back. She ran over her dad smiling and laughing. You see, God delights over us. And he knows the difference between the people who love him and are running after him, and running after the truth. And I'm talking about keeping things in context. And he knows the difference between those kind of people and the people that are trying to say, you know what? Grace covers my sin, I can do what I want. This shouldn't be hard to figure out. And yet, we got constant insanity, constant deception, constant, you know, either the devil trying to tell us, you know what? Even the devil trying to tell us. And I'm talking to people right now, I'm not talking to people playing games. I'm talking to people that are serious about walking in New Covenant, New Testament, relationship with Jesus Christ. You need to understand something. God's not looking to banish you because you fall down. He's not looking to punish you. He's not looking to beat you up. He's not looking, in fact, he knows if you're running after him, he delights over you. And even if you fall, he promises this. Think about this, he will uphold you. He says, though he falls, this valiant warrior Christian, though he falls, he shall not be utterly cast out.
Ooh, somebody say that's good news, isn't it? Let me tell you, I had somebody had the audacity to say that Pastor Dean thinks he's God. Really? Somebody said that this week. Isn't that hilarious? I told my wife, I think I'm God, yeah right. Let me tell you, I believe I'm a warrior for Jesus Christ. I believe I'm a soldier for Jesus Christ. I believe I've been in this battle a long time and I have no intention on quitting, slowing down, or stopping. But I know one thing, I'm not God. And I have fallen down many times on this journey. I have fallen down, I have sinned, I have made terrible mistakes, I have blown it. But you know why I'm still here preaching? Because of this right here. I can't tell you how many times in prayer I've said, Lord, I thank you that the steps of a good man are ordered of the Lord. And that though he fall, he will not be utterly cast down. Because you know what would happen when I'd fall? I'd get back up and say, Jesus, you said in John chapter one through your apostle John, if we confess our sins, you are faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness. You are faithful to not remember our sins and iniquities. You are faithful because of what you did on the cross. You are good and you are sinless and you are perfect and you are holy. And my faith is not in what I can do. My faith is not in that I can do it perfectly all the time. My faith is in the blood of Jesus. So for those of you out there who say I'm Dean, Pastor Dean thinks he's God, no, I don't. My faith and the only thing that makes me righteous and clean and holy and just is the blood of Jesus and my faith in the blood of Jesus and his resurrection and my willingness to when I sin and when I fall down to say, God, please forgive me, please help me. Help me, help me get up and keep walking and keep running. I just laughed, I just blows my mind. He thinks he's God, no, I don't. The absolute insanity. But of course, that's the, that's Jezebel's talking out there, all right?
It's just amazing, you know? Just amazing. Faith in his blood. That's such a good thing. You know, I think we forget sometimes. No matter how righteous as Christian, and listen, I'm saying there is a New Testament standard of righteousness that God wants us to walk. But I can tell you this, we're never gonna walk you back. Don't tell me you're never gonna say anything that you shouldn't say. Or you're never gonna think anything you shouldn't think. Or you're never gonna do anything you shouldn't do. Don't tell me, don't tell me. I mean, there's some people out there that actually preach that a Christian should never sin anymore. They should, or that they never, they can live in sinless perfection. Now granted, in theory, that may be right. I've heard people theorize that, well, can you live without sin and thought, word, or deed for one second? Well, yeah. Well, then if you could do it for one second, then you could do it for five seconds. And then if you could do it for five seconds, you might make a whole minute. So theoretically, yeah. But guess what? Our lives are lived in weeks and months and years. Right. My wife and I were discussing a certain individual, a certain situation this morning. And my wife has good discernment. I'll have to say that. And she asked, sometimes she says, well, you know, I just got a bad feeling about this particular situation. And I said, well, one thing we know, time will always expose you, right? Might not get exposed this week or a month from now, maybe two years from now, maybe three years from now, but it'll happen. That's why the Bible talks about not putting a novice or one newly come to the faith in a position of authority or leadership where there needs to be time to tell, are they faithful? Are they faithful to this walk, to this journey, to the scriptures, to the truth? Time will always tell. That's why I laugh. People come at me with all kind of crazy stuff. And I'm like, you know what? I don't care what they say. Because you know what? Anybody could go back in my past and find a sin and find a mistake. You got to go back in my past and find something? Got news for you. You're trying to dig up stuff that the blood of Jesus has washed away. So good luck with that, right? I mean, recently, I've had everything thrown at me from divorce and remarriage issue, which I'm going to have to address biblically. In fact, I might address some of that this morning. About the university I'm affiliated and associated with
in Nigeria, that it's listed on the legal universities in Nigeria, but most people don't understand that Nigeria is run by Muslims and corrupt leaders. It's funny if they're legal, why are they still going? But I might address that in a minute. But isn't it crazy? And this is not, listen. Some people say, oh, why are you whining? No, I'm happy. Paul made a defense. He said, this is my answer to those who examined me. Paul made a defense of his life, his ministry, his salvation experience, what he preached, what he taught. He always made a defense of those things. He was, oh, don't defend yourself. Well, you know what, I'm not. I'm defending what God's done in my life. Don't try to poo-poo on what God's done in my life. I don't like your poo-poo. Eat your poo-poo till you set, right? But let me read something to you. This is something awesome. I won't share the guy's name, because he's a new believer. Let's see if I can find this real quick. But this is the kind of stuff I rejoice in. And he was messaging me this morning. But I get this message this week, on top of the crazies attacking me from every angle. But here's why I keep getting up. Number one, I love Jesus. And I know he is the way and the truth and the life and the only true God. And I know he loves me. And I know he gives me the strength and the power over the devil. And I know that no matter what happens one day, I'm gonna be with him, right? So this guy, Ken, that's all I'm gonna say. He may be listening right now. He's in Canada. And this is what he said. He said, your videos have brought me back to Jesus and away from the lies of Eastern mysticism and Eastern nonsense. I said, that's wonderful to hear. I praise the Lord Jesus for that. I'd love to hear more about that. So a little while later, he comes back and he says, I practice Buddhism. He said, but for some reason, only when I would pray to Jesus, I would feel that that was the truth. So I was back and forth, confused. So I came across flat earth and really wanted the truth. I couldn't find the flat earth and the true nature of creation he's talking about here in Buddhism at all in any of their teachings. But I know the earth is flat. So he came to this conclusion about the true nature of our creation. And he said, he'd really been searching. He said, then I found your videos out of nowhere with the Bible verses on flat earth started to understand biblical scripture. Then I came across your videos on Buddhism,
Eastern mysticism. And he said, I just had to search you on Facebook. He said, the serpent power, the Kundalini thing and how it teaches we all can become gods. He said, I practiced that for a period. And he said, then I thought about it. He says, because if you think about it, Hollywood's pushing this Buddhism and this occult teaching a very strong way. So it's making all sense to me now. The Kings of this world are master deceivers. And I just know it's not true. Something was always missing. He says, all their stuff is just supernatural hocus pocus. He said, they've done a good job infiltrating the whole world with their cult. He said, they really had me for years, but not anymore, not anymore. You see the truth of God's word, the truth of the cross of Jesus Christ, of the new covenant, power, gospel, sets people free. And you know what? I get these quite often. I get these testimony. So you know what? Let them just keep writing them out. Because the day's coming, we will all stand before the judgment seat of Christ to give an account of the things that we have done in this body and in this life. And we will give an account of them, whether they be good or bad. I will stand there. You will stand there. You will stand there. Everyone will stand there all day. And the Lord's just gonna look, did you love me with all your heart? Did you live a life of faith running after me? And I love that. Remember Matthew 5 where Jesus said, blessed are they that do hunger and thirst for righteousness. They will be filled. Well, guess what? That doesn't mean running back to try to keep the feast and the Sabbath and the circumcision and the dietary laws and the old covenant. It means running after the new. It means running after intimacy and relationship with the Lord Jesus Christ, who died on the cross and rose from the death. It's about spending time with Him. It's about worshiping Him. It's about learning to hear His voice. It's about letting His Holy Spirit lead you and guide you into all truth and teach you. It's about freedom. It's about peace. It's about joy. It's about healing you of spiritual and emotional wounds and hurts. It's about healing the brokenhearted.
People wanna call me. People wanna call me a false teacher. And all I do is talk about Jesus is the way, the Jesus of the Bible, the Jesus of this new Testament, the Jesus that was foretold by the prophets and the old covenant, the Jesus who is God in the flesh, the only one worthy, not Barry, not Buddha, not Krishna, not Allah, not Muhammad, but Jesus Christ of Nazareth. I don't say Pastor Dean is the way. I don't say Fire and Grace Church is the way. No, Jesus is the way. He's the only one that can wash your sins away. He's the only one that can drive the demons out of your life. It is His name, His blood, His resurrection, His kingdom, His creation. It's all His. I'm just glad to be in it. Amen. I'm happy. I'm happy this morning. I'm telling you, I'm happy to be in Jesus Christ through faith in His blood. That's that simple gospel, remember? We like so much. Just the simple gospel. You know, we were singing this morning, those songs, and of course, those of you that joined us around 11, you probably just heard the end of one. But we're worshiping the Lord this morning, and I'm just thinking how wonderful it is to know Jesus, to really know Him, to truly be born again. Listen, no one can talk me out of it. No one. If you can be talked out of it, then you don't have it. You hear me? Because I'm gonna tell you something. What is it? Romans 14 says this. The kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy in the Holy Ghost. Not righteousness from striving after the law. It's not the righteousness of the law. It is the righteousness by faith in Christ Jesus. And I got a message coming, Torah terrorist. I got one coming for you. Almost did it today. I already got 50 slides, but I'm not done yet. The kingdom of God is not meat and drink, but righteousness, peace, and joy. I don't know, if you get down on your knees, I'm gonna tell you something. If you get down on your knees, and you're like, I thank you God, I keep the Sabbath, I thank you God, I'm not like these other Sunday Christians.
Go to church on Sunday, God forbid. I'm so glad, I'm not like that. Your righteousness is in exactly that. You know what I say? I say, I thank you Lord, that my righteousness is in what you have done, not what I have done. Isn't that good? See, that's rest right there. And I say it all the time when I'm in prayer. You know what I say? I say it in prayer all the time. I say, Lord, God, thank you for shedding your blood for me. I don't look to my ability to keep it way perfect. I thank you Lord, I thank you, that it's only your blood that makes me work. It's only the blood. We got some of these torteres, I'm gonna cover this in the week ahead, but some of these torteres, they're calling Paul a false apostle and a false teacher because they cannot grasp the realities of the New Covenant. Because they've been duped by slick little deceivers and they're thinking, I've got to make myself righteous by keeping the law. Well, they got answers for it all, man, I'll tell you. They got their own, they got their own, they got their own New Covenant. So I could spend this whole morning, but let's go to a verse, let's go to the book of Romans that they hate, of course, they hate Paul. But you know what? They wanna hate on it, they can hate on it. It's still for us, right? Just because they hate it doesn't mean it's not for us. Let's go to Romans chapter five. I'm gonna take this, where's my water? Let me read a little bit. And you know, you start preaching like this, oh, he's a anti-nominee, he's one of the Nicolations. I actually found out recently, there's a bunch of Torah people that believe that unless you're into the Torah observance, if you're into that,
then you're the five wise virgins in the parable that Jesus gave. And the rest of us poor Sunday Christians are the foolish virgins that are gonna be left out. But then they'll say, same people will say it's not a salvation issue. Double-talking, four-toned little serpents. I don't care, I'll call you what you are. Let's read this from verse one, Romans five. I love this. Therefore being justified, that means made righteous, clean by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom also we have access by faith into this grace, wherein we stand and rejoice in hope of the glory of God. And not only so, but we glory in tribulations also, knowing that tribulation worketh patience and patience experience and experience hope. And hope maketh not a shame because the love of God is shed abroad in our hearts by the Holy Ghost which is given to us. For when we were yet without strength in due time, Christ died for the ungodly. For scarcely for a righteous man will one die, yet per venture for a good man some would even dare to die. But God commended his love toward us in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us. Look at verse nine. Much more than being now justified by his blood, we shall be saved from wrath through him. For if when we were enemies, we were reconciled to God by the death of his son, much more being reconciled, we shall be saved by his life. And not only so, but we also joy in God through our Lord Jesus Christ, by whom we have now received the atonement. Do you notice how many times he says, rejoice? How many times he says, have joy. We rejoice and we have joy that we have been justified. We have been made righteous. We have been made righteous and have access to God through the blood of Jesus shed on the cross, through his righteousness, his righteousness. Love these people, they wanna keep talking about the law, but do they hear the law? Tell me, as Paul said in Galatians, tell me you who desire to be under the law, do you not hear the law? Isaiah said, Isaiah, what is it? 64, 65, 66, one of those chapters, he said, our righteousness is as filthy rags. Paul said in the book of Romans 10, he said, the Jews are going about to establish their own righteousness according to the law and have not submitted themselves to the righteousness of God for Christ is the end of the law for righteousness. He fulfilled it. He did what none of us could do. He did what none of the prophets, none of the old covenant people, nobody. He did what no one could do.
He came and lived it out. He fulfilled it, completed it perfectly, has been fully God and fully man. Then he willingly took the penalty of sin, even though he had not sinned so that we could have righteousness in him. And how do we have that? We believe that he died for us. We believe that. We believe that God shed his righteous, holy sinless blood for us and that there is nothing good that we can do to get it. We simply must believe and confess with our mouths. And yes, we must be willing to repent and follow him. But that is not what makes us righteous. Amen. Faith in his blood makes us right. Walking with him in new covenant, truth and context and reality keeps us in relationship. You hear what I'm saying? The holiest one of us in here is going to sin again. I mean, the apostle Paul in Romans seven says, as a spirit-filled believer, he says, things I wanna do, I don't, things I don't wanna do, I do. Even though I want to do what God's word says, perfect. I wanna do, I delight him, but I don't know what you're doing. Think about that. The people that are born again like the apostle Paul that want to do it all right, that try hard, that are running after God, that are being warriors still fall down. Still blowing, still sinning. Tell me it's not good news to know. It's not over at that moment. Tell me it's not good news to be able to get up and say, I sinned, I blew it, I fell down. Forgive me, Lord, wash me, Lord. My faith is in your blood to cleanse me and wash it away. I'm gonna try to do better, but I might not do better. You know what? We're messed up. As my wife says, all of us, we have issues.
Well, you're supposed to be full of the Holy Ghost. Yes, you're gonna be full of the Holy Ghost, but guess what? We leap. That's why I gotta keep running back to him. Fill me up, Lord. Fill me, Jesus, with your spirit again. Help me again. Help me do better. Change me. Well, you stop doing that and you're in trouble. Change me, Lord. Is that one of your prayers? You're gonna remember the Evangelist, Steve Hilda Brownsville Revival. I loved his simple. He used to get people to pray right before he'd preach all the time. He'd say, pray this with me, everybody. He said, simple prayer. Lord, speak to my heart. Change my life. In Jesus' name, amen. Speak to my heart, Lord, and change my life. Not turn me into a Jew. Trying to wear the little tassels and the little shawls and the little heads. You know, I'm quite happy being a Gentile. I'm okay with that. I had a plan for the Gentiles, didn't I? And you know, it's amazing. There's all this, but I see all this crazy stuff. I get the emails and the comments and YouTube and Facebook, and I see all this stuff people talking about. Who are the true Israelites and who's this and who's that? And I read in the scripture, said, don't be, don't, don't consume yourself with Jewish fables and genealogies. We don't know who the 10 lost tribes are. People trying to say, we're the United States and Europe, they're Manasseh and Ephraim. I don't know, but what difference does it make? I'm not supposed, according to the New Covenant, I'm not even supposed to be worried about all that. Because you know what happens when you start worrying about all that? And doesn't it become a race issue then? Well, I'm of this tribe and I'm of that tribe. I mean, I said, we're the real Hebrews, and you're, I got called this last week after my sermon last week. I got called an Esau devil. Eat a Mike devil. The Senate of Esau, I'm an eat a Mike devil. It's crazy. But I'm sitting here going, what does any of that matter? I don't care if I have true Jewish Hebrew blood and man. I don't care. I don't care. I mean, look, y'all, I know for a fact, I know I'm part Cherokee Indian and I'm part Englishman. Whoop-de-dah, right? What does it matter?
Why do we get so hung up? If we're white, brown, black, yellow, purple, what is it? All that, does it matter? No, does it matter to God? No. You know what the Bible says in the book of Acts? He made all men of one blood. We all bleed red, don't we? We all have an appointment with death. And there's only one man. And let me just tell you, Jesus is not black. Jesus is not white. He's somewhere in the middle. He's brown. I'm gonna tell you, some of this crazy, I mean, I get some crazy. I mean, just crazy. And none of that matters. In Christ Jesus, what? You need a male and a female? You need a bond, no free, no Jew, no Greek. You're all one in Christ Jesus. I love it, this room, we got, we have a small crowd this morning, but we pretty much got the whole color spectrum, don't we? And that's the way it should be. There's one human race, and there's only one that came to die for the sins of that human race. And he's the one that said, I am the way, the truth, and the life, and know me comes to the Father, to the Creator, to God. There's no access to God but through me. John 14, six, that's Jesus' work. No other way. So here what I'm saying. The gospel is simply this. I love this. In fact, I can hear it in my head right now. I'm gonna quote the late Keith Green. For those of you who don't know, Keith Green is, he was a new-ager. Well, he was born Jew, was a child prodigy on the piano, wrote songs and did music for CBS Records when he was like 11 years old. In the hippie movement in the 60s and 70s, he got into all kind of Buddhism and Hinduism and Eastern mysticism. And then finally, he tried all that stuff. The drugs and the hippie movement. And he finally came and found Jesus was the one who set him free. And the Lord revealed himself. Keith Green, I remember his music.
He had a powerful ministry worldwide for about seven or eight years before he died in plane crash. But I believe the Jesuits tampered with his plane is why it went down. That's another story. But he used to say this. I remember at the end of his concerts, in fact, give me a favor and see if you can find Keith Green's altar call, Tom. We're gonna play that at the end if you can find it. But he used to say this. He said, the gospel is simply this. I mean, he had preached the crowds 40 and 50,000 young people in a field. And he'd say, the gospel is simply this. Jesus will forgive all your sins. If you come to him humbly, bow down at his feet and say, you're the Lord, and I'll surrender the rest of my life to you to spend eternity with you forever. See, it's about, will I lay down my life? Because he did. See, that's what I'm talking about. When you meet him, when you truly encounter Jesus and you have the full revelation of what he's done for you, you want to give him your life. You're willing to make the great exchange. You can use me however you want here because I know I'm gonna be with you forever. So let's just do this thing, Lord. Do with me, do through me what you wanna do. You know why I'm here today? Why I'm still preaching after 31 years after going through hell and high water and demons and devils and all kinds of problems and you wouldn't believe. You know why I'm still here? Because a long time ago, I said, Lord, I give you my life. No longer what I will, I want what you wanna do through me because I know, Lord, if you work through me, you will help somebody through me find you. And that's what all I want. I want you to use me to help people find you. And that's why I'm here, still here. That's why I'm still doing this, listen. I could be laying on my couch watching football on Sundays. I could be sleeping till noon on Sundays. I could not stay up till one in the morning studying and get up at six o'clock and start over. Well, I want the Lord to use me. And that's the way all of us should be. Lord, I give you my life. I'm willing to be a living sacrifice.
No more what I want, what you want. That's where you find joy and peace and purpose. You don't need Rick Warren's purpose-driven life. You just need to surrender to Jesus. See, the problem is we got a lot of Christians or people who call themselves Christians who've never truly surrendered at all. Remember the old hymn, I surrender all. I want y'all to hear this, you got it? Let's stand, this will be our closing song this morning. This is how he would end his concerts. And for those of you out there watching and listening, you better put up the fair yeast thing, real quick. But for those of you out there watching and listening, if you have not accepted Jesus as your Lord and Savior, it's not complicated. If you will believe that he is God in the flesh who died for your sins on the cross, born of a virgin, lived a sinless lie, died on the cross for your sins, rose from the dead on the third day. If you'll believe that and confess your sins, how many say, Lord, forgive me for what I've done, forgive the times I've hurt you, I've sinned against you, I've sinned against others, forgive me and wash it away. He is faithful and just to forgive you and wash it away. Not because you've been righteous enough, not because you've been good enough, but because he loves you. And as all he's ever wanted is for you to humble yourself and say, forgive me and help me. And Lord, I surrender my life to you and I will give you everything. I will follow you. Amen. Probably today as we come before you, Lord, we pray in the name of Jesus that the people that will see this today that are watching, listening, or who will, that they'll come to you, that they'll believe what you've done for them, Jesus. They'll call out to you. They'll surrender to you. And they'll be saved, born again, washed, cleansed, and find the joy and the peace and the salvation and the hope that you paid for, Lord, on the cross. I pray that for everyone watching and listening today. And it's in Jesus' name we pray. Amen.
