minute I think it's five iron yep five iron those of you that aren't golfers it's all right I'm going to give you a free lesson today all right help you understand something all right um let's just get to your Bibles and go let's go to John chapter 11 first the Gospel of John chapter 11 just calling this today uh follow through on follow through um the Lord just kept laying this on my heart and I didn't I didn't quite get it all until I got to church this morning and I it all kind of began to come together but I'm going to share some important things with you about it really this is about the spiritual warfare that you get between point a and point B that's where in the middle is where you're going to get the devil's opposition when God's given you something to do when you know the Holy Spirit has spoken to you and said you are to do this you are to go this direction you are to go do this thing and you can be all you can feel the the witness of the Holy Spirit and the peace of God and the presence of God and you can get all excited about that thing because you know oh man God's speaking to me God's showing me something I need to do in my life and you can get all excited about oh it's I it's great to know the will of God and yes it is all that's true but when you finally there's one thing to know the will of God there's another thing to actually do it this is where most people when they begin to do what God has called them to do and this applies to everything whether it's you when you're first born again following Jesus and you truly repent of your sin and you know your sins are washed away you know Jesus is Lord of your life well you've got to make up your mind not just how you begun but you got to make up your mind that you're going to finish the race I mean it has to be an absolute determination that I am not going to be stopped before I make it to heaven or I'm standing there with Jesus when he returns one of the two but I am not going to be one of those who starts and doesn't finish um how terrible it's going to be for the Christians who started out and I'm talking about true Born Again Christians that that have encountered the witness of the spirit and been truly saved but then allow persecution or the lust for other things
or the love of money or whatever it is sexual immorality you or just doing your own plans with your life you deciding which way you're going to go and you're going to stand before God one day and he's he's going to say you're going to say well Lord I was I was saved Lord Lord I know you I even cast out demons and prophesied and did wonderful works in your name and the Lord's going to look you say yeah you did all that when you first got saved but you didn't follow through son on you didn't finish the race you didn't do what I told you to do so all your church going and all the the the religious facade means nothing if you don't finish and what's really bad are those who start out and don't finish we call them backsliders or lukewarm Christians or just you know they become careless and let me tell you the Bible says it will be worse on judgment day and it will be worse in hell for those who knew Jesus and turned away from him in fact the Bible says this in second Peter chapter 2 it would have been better for you not to have known the way of righteousness who is the way of righteousness it says it would been better for you not to have known the way of righteousness than after you have known it to turn from that Holy commandment delivered on you backsliders lukewarm Christians Christians that allow sin lust money offense whatever it is unforgiveness lose their integrity start lying cheating stealing say oh Christians wouldn't do that oh there's some of the worst because once a Christian I'm talking about a person who's really known the Lord starts going bad they go really bad because in between your start and where you have to get the Finish Line Satan and the demon Spirits are going to fight you at every step of the way they want you to fall they want you to be told by God depart from me he cursed into Everlasting fire they want that you have to understand that Satan and the demon Spirits are like a mafia gang you understand they know their end most Mafia guys know they're not going to heaven some of them even think that they're cursed and that's just the way their life is and they're going to be in hell but they have this mentality I'm
going to live however I want to live and I'm going to take as many people with me anybody gets in my way they're going to hell with me they don't care let me tell you the devil knows his end Satan knows that he's going into the Lake of Fire for all eternity but because he hates God so much he hates what Jesus has done for us so much that he wants to take as many of God's children God's creation to hell as he can possibly take he's truly the devil is is the kamakazi he's the suicide bomber he's the extreme jihadist that wants to kill himself and take every everybody with him but it the devil's not deceived about his end he knows where he's going he wants to deceive you about your end he wants to deceive you about where you really are and that's why it's important like my wife did yesterday about prove it the message she spoke about prove it you got to prove yourself you got to examine yourself and how do you prove yourself and how do you examine yourself well there's one mirror that you got for Spiritual proof of where you are living and that is the Bible it is the word of God the Bible even says this that it is a mirror that you look at to see and this is why I'm going to tell you we were talking about this yesterday if you get away from what the written word of God says As a Christian and I don't care it may be something small if you get away from it and say I know the Bible says this but I'm going to do this you already gone your whole attitude your whole heart is showing that you are not going to be able to finish you're not going to be able to follow through because you're going to have to trust believe adhere hang on to live by every word of God that's that's come forth from him I mean there's going to be some people that are going to take the mark of the beast because they don't know or understand the word of God about end time Bible prophecy and where we really are they are not Discerning the times remember Jesus said that to the Pharisees they knew the scriptures backwards and fors but he said you aren't Discerning the time you're in therefore you don't even understand who's in front of you and you don't understand what's going to happen in 40 years but I do all of you are going to be killed I mean think about that God stood before them in the flesh the Messiah that they had been reading about studying about he's standing there and and on top of it he's doing every miracle that the Old
Testament Prophet said he would do the lame walking the blind seeing the deaf hearing he was doing all of that right in front of them see this is why look I know this everybody in here who who wants to see Miracles can I tell you that everybody who followed Jesus when he was on Earth saw Miracles but a lot of them didn't make it you a lot of us there's a lot of Christians think well if I just saw this happen I would make it oh I would be the strongest Christian ever if I saw somebody raised from the dead well guess what I've seen it oh I'd be the strongest Christian ever if I saw somebody get up out of a wheelchair that's i' I've seen it I've seen all kind of Miracles I've seen people receive amazing Miracles and still fall away from God and not finish the race so Miracles is not the answer let me tell you what the answer is what the most important thing is is that you have a madeup mind a madeup heart you've got the fear of God in you enough that you go I'm not starting this thing and not finishing it see what what transformed my life and the reason I've done all this stuff I've done for the last you know 38 years is because when God spoke to me in June of 1987 and when he said Son you can have everything the world has to offer and go to hell or you can surrender your life to me and live forever and I saw two paths I could choose I could have chose Hollywood and fame and money and all that stuff it was all being handed to me on a silver platter because the devil knew there was a calling on my life an anointing on my life from a child he knew he saw it he saw it in me when I was in my mother's womb the devil did he's like I'm going to destroy him before he can get to doing what he is called to do the devil tried to Blind me right after I was born I had nuns taking care of me for a whole week that's hilarious isn't it born in a Catholic Hospital me Lord have mercy but he tried to take me out so many times tried to destroy me but when I said to the Lord that day in 1987 when I said Lord I was 19 years old just finished my first year in college I was on summer break I had all these plans and I've shared this before but I said these words to the Lord I said either I'm going all the way with you or I'm not going at all I will not be a hypocrite see when he when I knew when he revealed
to me where I was headed my destination if I kept on the path I was going the drugs the sexual sin doing my own will I said Jesus forgive me for all that I'm going to follow you from now on and I I the Holy Spirit fully revealed to me at that moment that Jesus was really Lord like he was the boss as we say my wife calls me he well Jesus is he and some people don't like that some people are rebellious they got such a deep-seated rebellion they don't like to be told what to do like to do what they want to do oh Pastor Dean I I just like I just like video games or I just like movies or I just like you know novels or or whatever it is they say things are not necessarily bad well what if the Lord says you know what I would rather you be reading your reading the Bible praying and doing what I've called you to do see there's a lot of people that are going to be good mortal people decent people that aren't doing terrible things but Jesus has not been he see when we to get saved what does the Bible say in Romans 10 if we will confess with our mouths the Lord Jesus and believe in our hearts that God has raised him from the dead we shall be saved but see think about this if you confess with your mouth Jesus Is My Lord but you don't do the things that he says to do then you are a liar don't don't don't talk to me about oh Jesus my Lord but you're still getting drunk on the weekends and partying no he's not your Lord You're Still Lord of your life but you're trying to get some fire insurance that's it if Jesus is Lord of your life you you the old you not just the bad things you did but even the good plans you had those have to be crucified with Jesus Christ they have to die they have to be buried with him and a new you has to come up that's willing to walk with him in newness of Life a whole new life and guess what this is what see this is this is what's wrong with American and European Christianity is that we've been told just pray this prayer and you're in you're eternally secure no matter what you do God understands that you can't really live the Christian Life and so we fumble around go to these churches that make us feel good about ourselves eles and oh don't let there be any
difficulty come because oh no American Christianity says every day is a Friday your best life now Joel oin is't that what his books say and that's why a lot of people a lot of Christians when the difficult time hits and I'm talk I'm not talking about just outward persecution but I'm going to get into this part right now the spiritual warfare you are going to face between where you begin and where you have to end is going to be intense mentally emotionally spiritually I mean you at times you will feel like Darkness has set settled in upon you misery dread fear Temptation overwhelming Temptation Suicidal Thoughts you don't want to live like this you don't want to feel like this marital issues Financial issues health issues pain and suffering you're like well I thought I was a Christian I was trying to do good stuff and look at all this I'm going through oh those are words that'll get you get you stuck right in the middle and not able to finish let me just go and tell y'all you know the Lord the Lord told me in 20120 to get involved in this political thing to run for governor and to be a voice and a light against all that evil and let me just go on and tell you that since I stepped into that Arena I have been through a personal physical mental emotional hell that a lot of you don't even have a clue what I've been through and here the Lord telling me to do it again nothing in my flesh wants to do that again nothing and this time as I've already announced and I've already moving forward to run for lieutenant governor of Alabama the spiritual warfare and oppression and darkness that I am facing is 10 times worse than last time already and we just getting started the things I'm going to confront will go all the way to the Chinese Communist Party operating in Alabama to the UN the 2030 2020 you know uh Agenda 21
agenda 23 all of that's going to play into this the Lord's told me that things are going to get more dangerous this time I've had multiple people come to me and give me warnings that you're basically your life's going to be in danger this time far more than last time and I know that and and also because I've been through hell since 2021 really since covid almost killed me I still have stuff I'm dealing with from covid y'all health issues from that that y'all don't even know about cuz I went to the me and Troy I know we went to the point of death I mean I can feel it creeping up on me and when you can't breathe and your oxygen level's getting down in the low 80s you think well this might be it and boy let me tell you that's when you better know Jesus when you get to that point and we're all going to face it you know everybody's freaking out about the plane crashes and all this other stuff but death's coming to us all at some point unless we go in the rapture and I'm not talking about a pre-trib one either right let me tell you if you end up in the in the in the Rapture you have endured to the end all right the very end all right most of us probably won't make it that far are you going to be ready now that's just your introduction so let's get to John 11 now most churches that'd be the sermon we had to we' let y'all go right no not yet now let's read this uh John 11 vers1 now a certain man was sick named Lazarus of Bethany the town of Mary and his sister Martha and it was that Mary which anointed the Lord with ointment and wiped his feet with her hair whose brother Lazarus was sick therefore his sisters sent unto him saying Lord behold he whom thou lovest is sick and Jesus when he when Jesus heard that he said this sickness is not unto death but for the glory of God that the Son of God might be glorified thereby now Jesus loved Martha and her sister and Lazarus and when he had heard therefore that he was sick he Abode two days still in the same place where he was now does that make any sense Jesus loved this family he used to hang out with them he used to go to their house to eat and rest these were not just Disciples of his or followers but these were friends these were people that he loved dearly and he hears that
Lazarus is terribly sick and instead of rushing there he waits for two more days you know this right here is just to tell you that God is not going to do anything on the time frame that you and I would like never not going to happen so just get used to it right right he usually takes a lot longer than we want all right but he tells them the sickness is not into death but then we know Lazarus dies H isn't that interesting all right but let's keep reading he says then after that verse 7 then after that saith he to his disciples let's go into Judea again and his disciples saying to him Master the Jews of late sought to Stone thee and goest thou thither or there again so he's saying they want to kill you there are we really going there yep we're going back we're going and Jesus answered and said are there not 12 hours in a day if any man walk in the day he stumbleth not because he seeth the light of this world but if a man walk in the night he stumbleth because there is no light in him these things said he and after that he saith unto them our friend Lazarus sleepeth but I go that I may awake him out of sleep then said his disciples Lord if he sleep he shall do well how be it Jesus spake of his death but they thought that he had spoken of taking a rest in sleep then said Jesus unto them plainly Lazarus is dead and I am glad you know this is why you got to keep reading this is why you got to always take the Bible in context right he said I'm glad for your sakes that I was not there to the intent that you may believe nevertheless let us go unto him then said Thomas which is called timus unto his fellow disciples let us also go that we may die with him and then when Jesus came he found that he had Lain in the grave 4 days already now Bethany was n to Jerusalem about 15 furlongs off and many of the Jews came to Martha and Mary to comfort them concerning their brother then Martha as soon as she heard that Jesus was coming went and met him but Mary sat still in the house then said Martha unto Jesus Lord if thou had been here my brother had not died but I know that even now whatsoever thou will ask of God he will give it thee and Jesus saith un her thy brother shall rise again and Martha saith unto him I know that he shall rise again in the resurrection at the last day and Jesus said unto her I am the resurrection and the life he that believeth in me that word believeth trusteth clings to adheres to not just he that has this oh I just believe in Jesus no it's somebody that clings to Jesus Trust trusts Jesus follows Jesus obeys Jesus that's what that word mean and it's a present tense Greek word which means continuous
ongoing action taking place in the present he says those who truly believe follow in me he said though they were dead yet shall he live and whosoever liveth and believeth me shall never die believest thou this or do you believe this she said unto him yay Lord I believe that thou art the Christ the son of God which should come into the world and when she had so said she uh went her way and called Mary her sister secretly saying the master has com and call us for thee and as soon as she heard that she arose quickly and came unto him now Jesus was not yet come into the town but was in that place where Martha met him the Jews then which were with her in the house and comfort her when they saw Mary that she Rose hastily and went out followed her saying she goeth unto the grave to weep there it says then when Mary was come Jesus was and saw him she fell down at his feet saying Lord if you had been here my brother had not died and when Jesus saw her weeping and the Jews also weeping which came with her he groaned in the spirit and was troubled now I want to stop right there we know the rest of the story Jesus went on in and he raised Lazarus from the dead and it was so powerful there were so many witnesses to this Resurrection this power and glory of God manifest there were so many witnesses that the Pharisees wanted to kill Lazarus and Jesus now they talked about this you can read the rest of the story I'm not going to read the whole chapter but I want to get to this where it says Jesus groaned and was troubled we're going to look up these words in the original Greek because it's important because remember Jesus was always led by the Holy Spirit spirit in everything he did he said he he said me and the father are one Jesus had the Holy Spirit without measure Jesus Is God manifested In the Flesh fully and he was always letting the Holy Spirit lead him to do everything he did so when Jesus waited that was God leading him when he let Lazarus die that was the Lord saying wait that was and see remember Jesus though he was God In the Flesh he chose to operate as a man anointed by God In the Flesh to be an example to us so he had to fight through this the things we have to fight through remember it says he was tempted in all ways like we are yet without sin Jesus went through everything so every attack of the devil that comes at you Jesus has had come at him except probably far worse but let's look at this when it says Jesus was groaned in the spirit
right he groaned in the spirit and was troubled let's look at that let's look at the word groaned here the definition this is going to be the strongs definition and the THS and here's what groaned means here um the biblical usage of this word is to charge with Earnest admonition sternly charged threatened to enjoin it means strong definition down here to have indignation on to blame to sigh with ch grin to sternly enjoin to groan to murmur against so Jesus was um actually too it means to snort with anger like to you know when you Huff and you know when you get frustrated somebody so he wasn't happy now think about this Jesus knew what he was going to do he knew before he even went there that he was going to go raise Lazarus from the dead as a testimony and witness to the whole nation uh and he did this right before he went to the cross and was resurrected to prove again to have two witnesses of Resurrection they had no excuses not to believe right but it says that he snorted or side with anger um the Bible you know a lot of people think angry anger is sin it's not that's why Paul said be angry and sin not right sometimes there is anger that is righteous anger there's anger that should be manifested I know we little snowflakes here and cupcakes in the the American Christian World they we don't like that Lo let me get Stern and tough on something or somebody oh I don't know he's he showed some anger he must need counseling oh gosh I'm like well you imagine what they would have said to Jesus when he started throwing the tables over and whipping folks and whipping the animals and running them out of the temple you oh God he he's got he needs management classes right no there's an anger we should be angry at sin we should be angry at wickedness but I'm going to tell you what Jesus was angry at he wasn't angry at Mary and Martha he wasn't angry at any of the people around there he was angry because as he moved from point A to get to point B the resurrection of Lazarus to do the will of God in that situation the devil showed up and go to the next word when it says he groaned in the spirit and was troubled well not that one the other one
we'll come back to this I sent more than that well troubled in the Greek means to be agitated like you would stir up water all right you know how like you know kids get a puddles nice and clean and calm and they get a little stick and stirred up but it was in the spirit he was being he was angry and agitated let me ask you you ever felt a little angry and agitated trying to do what God's told you to do I'm trying to get from point A to point B that devil will not leave me alone and it also means and I can't believe I'm I oh you got it I can't that that definition you got to see the whole thing because it actually T it talks about to be tempted or to be pushed doubt trying where the devil's trying to push doubt in your mind trying to push discouragement in your mind trying to push actually fear let me just tell you something I'm I'm I've spoken to crowds live crowds I think the largest church service and crowd ever spoke to is 22,000 people all right in Africa and I felt no different than talking here preaching here and I don't care if it's two or 20,000 or 100 that makes no difference to me I am not afraid I'm not afraid to talk to anybody I've spoken to Governors and judges and police officers and FBI agents and CIA agents and MI6 agents and Satanist and everything I don't I'll talk to anybody I don't care I I'm not afraid of anybody or anything but you can just be trying to get do something God's told you do simple as maybe even walking across the street to talk to your neighbor about Jesus and you'll start walking and you're not afraid you you're you're used to talking about Jesus but this this boom will hit you this fear like just dread like you're like you know like somebody's coming to get you to throw you in the goog you're like what is this why do I feel this horrible fear and dread over something so simple that's the devil meeting you in between A and B the devil uses this heaviness this agitation see this word where it says he was troubled that's still that's that's not the one it's the next one yeah teraso all right look what it says to agitate trouble a thing by movement of its parts like you know stirring up the water to cause one inward commotion take away his calmness of Mind disturb his equinity uh to
disquiet make Restless to stir up to trouble to strike one's spirit with fear and dread to render anxious or distress to perplex the mind of one by S suggesting Scruples or like you're doing something wrong or doubts this is the devil was there to meet Jesus to stop him from Raising Lazarus from the dead and notice it was all it was nothing physical in the sense of like you know putting a real wall in front of him or something it was all mental emotional spiritual attack to stop Jesus from following through I can tell you almost every time that the holy spirit is told me to do something and I start doing it I start on that path I get hit with this I get hit with sometimes unexplainable fear and dread I get hit with unexplainable un just not normal agitation I feel like Nancy and I say it sometimes we feel like we're walking through a swamp you know like you you're you're just uh your feet are in quicksand you you're trying to obey you're trying to do what the Lord said to do but every step every part of it is difficult and this is where most people give up it's just too hard I'm too afraid I can't deal with the heaviness I can't deal with the depression that I feel a lot of the depression we feel has nothing nothing to do with our chemical imbalance or our brains or anything else it's spiritual it's Darkness it's satanic it's demonic and it is to stop us from doing what God has told us to do and what the kingdom of God let me just tell you right now what the kingdom of God needs is some soldiers who know how to endure hardness and difficulty and affliction and spiritual Warfare and keep doing what God said to do and follow through with the mission that God gives you to follow through with because when you obey God when you do the will of God that is where the power of God is going to be that is where the favor of God's going to be that's where the mercy of God's going to be you want God to have some slack on you be in his will you can be in his will and be messing up some things but you're still trying to do his will and he will will have mercy on you be out of his will and start messing up you going to get a big fat spanking you hear me say this with me I want to
be a finisher a finisher see if I could just get people to understand this I I there's situations right now people I know I know that God's hand is upon them the the anointing of the holy spirit's upon them they are called to do some great things for Jesus Christ and for the kingdom of God and for all eternity but they let the devil stop them they'll start we we talk Nancy and I talk about all the time that's the person that takes one step forward and another step back and they stay in the same spot and the Devil beats them in the head see let me explain something to you about follow through let me get my golf club here let's see if we can do this Hallelujah see if I can do the old pocket trick all right here we go all right now the golf club the golf swing is Art all right right I used to could smack one pretty good all right getting old but let me just show you something I'm not going to swing it hard but I'm just to so you have you have there's different parts to this thing you have to have the grip I do the interlocking grip you have to know how to put your legs not too far where the ball placement is supposed to be for the different clubs all that stuff so that's how you start your grip your setup right and then when you start the swing you know we used to do a drill left arm has to be straight I know left arm has to be straight you don't bend this elbow you keep it straight and if when you get if you're in the right position your weight shifted back here and if you drop the club it should land on your shoulder right so that's your back swing and then you start down you keep your eye on the ball cuz if you look up to see that beautiful shot it won't be right you keep your head down you bring the arm straight down you bring the club down into the ground right into the ball you striking down on it believe it or not down goes up all right but when you get through with it you come through and you should follow through I'm not you should follow through and you should be like this and you should be your your front foot the weight should be shift Ed this way and you should you should have a nice follow through that comes all the way through right now if you prepare a follow through there's a different follow through that if you're in high wind you want to keep the ball low you don't you kind of stop about right here you say but wait a minute what difference does it make if you're here or you're here and how the ball goes I'll tell you why because the way in your mind that you prepar to finish is how you're going to start and how you're going to go through the whole process you hear me it's not just the start but it's the whole thing and the way you're thinking about
finishing will affect your middle you understand because in the middle of your start and your finish is when you hit the ball and if you don't have the finish in your mind prepared the proper finish you will not hit the ball the way you need to hit it you understand follow through they'll tell you this when I played baseball I used to play Third Base and Pitch I was a quarterback in football throwing the football hitting a golf ball shooting a basketball they'll tell you if you don't have the proper f follow through your shots are not going to be consistent right if the pitcher doesn't know how to follow through with the ball he's not going to have enough power and speed through the pitch if the quarterback doesn't know how to where to place the ball and how to use his entire body and follow through with it he's going to float one and throw an interception okay it's all about that you know I spent a lot of years not liking Nick Sabin okay I praise the Lord that he's retired now but he was the best coach ever in college football ever all right but the thing about him that if you listen now and they're starting to play a lot of his speeches and stuff he used to tell his players but he used to tell them all the time you can have like I mean they recruited five five star four star I don't even think if they took any three stars anymore cuz they could get any players they wanted just about but what he would tell them he said your talent doesn't mean anything he said all of you to be here have talent that's a given he says what makes the difference between a talent person and a winner a champion is how they finish if they work hard to get better and better and better see he didn't like guys he he um I remember they they were talking about I think it was Tua Tua gets in the championship game against Georgia at the last second they're behind Alabama and throws the winning touchdown for the national championship the confetti falling down you would think that coach Sabin would be happy with that but the play before that play SU Tua actually ran around and took a sack that took them out of field goal
range right when he could have just thrown it away and not lost any yards and now here they've won the National Championship two as a freshman everybody's cheering they're going crazy he said and Coach Sab walks up to two and said what were you thinking taking that sack Tua started laughing said well I thought we needed more room for the touchdown pass Lord he was joking around San said it's not funny and turned around and walked off you know why because Tua wasn't finished being his quarterback he was going to be his quarterback next year and possibly the next year and he didn't want him thinking messing up in the middle is okay you get what I'm saying he wanted him to have the mind of a finisher not hey we accomplished this goal by mediocre play so therefore mediocre is okay and that's one of the things he said Sabin used to say if I could just get that idea out of people's head that mediocre is acceptable it's not and this is what we have to God is looking for soldiers who know how to not allow their flesh and their emotions to stop them Jesus encountered the most intense demonic satanic fear dread agitation oppression heaviness and he pressed through to go do what God had called him to do with Lazarus but the same thing happened let's go to uh I believe it's Luke 22 let me just go there y'all all right it's only 11:45 we're doing good we're cruising right on with this I want to give you one more example of this of how important it is to follow through now this is the night Jesus was going to be arrested and he was heading to the Cross now this is what's hard for us to get a hold of Jesus going to be beaten whipped shredding his back punched in the face by Roman legionnaires having a crown of thorns placed on the head with thorns that deep shoved down into his head hands and feet in the wrist area and through the top of his feet can you imagine that I had some needles
stuck in the top of my feet one time and it's not fun I can't imagine a big old rusty nail and they he he he was going to have to go through all that to deal with our sins to make a way for us to be forgiven to have eternal life but between point a the Passover meal will say and point B the resurrection which was a good day there was the Affliction The Suffering The Sacrifice the pain the agony and all of that he went through was the absolute perfect will of God for him and this I don't know why we don't get it that we have to go through some difficulty Jesus leaves the Passover meal and I want you to go over I me there's a whole lot of stuff going on he foretells Peter's denial he tells them he's going to be crucified and betrayed and they're like no no no but we get over when they finally go out to the Garden of Gethsemane and let's read this let's go down to verse 39 as remember this is in between it says he came out as he was want and went as he want to the Mount of Olives and his disciples also followed him and when he was at that place he said unto them pray ye that ye enter not into temptation and he was withdrawn from them about a Stones cast and kneeled down and prayed saying father if it be that if thou be willing remove this cup from me nevertheless not my will but thine be done and there appeared an angel from heaven strengthening him and being in an Agony somebody say Agony Agy and being in an Agony he prayed more earnestly his sweat was as it were great drops of blood falling to the ground and when he arose from prayer and he was come to his discip deciples he found them sleeping for sorrow and he said unto them why sleep you rise and pray lest you enter into temptation now Jesus was in this this battle was going on because the devil remember at at one point Jesus said from this time on you know the prince of darkness comes but he
doesn't have a place in me and what happened was is that the Prince of Darkness Satan the devil that old serpent Lucifer his many name he was allowed to come do all this and Jesus his physical side of him that was a physical man didn't want to go through it and it's okay sometimes to think I don't really want to do this cuz I know it's going to be difficult I don't want to do what God's telling me to do cuz I know it's going to be difficult I'm going to be hated I'm going to be persecuted I'm going to be rejected I'm going to be mocked I'm going to be attacked I might even be physically attacked I'm going to lose my job I may end up living on the street I mean we go through all this crazy stuff but the Lord is like he's okay if we if we if we'll just go to prayer and sayl I don't really want to do this I don't really want to go through this difficulty that's okay but you got to go on to the next part not my will but your will be done I would love to get out of this Lord if I can but if not then let's do it and the Bible tells us that we are to have the same mind that was in Jesus that means we are willing to do whatever is necessary even to suffer Affliction to suffer loss to suffer persecution to suffer even physical death if it comes to that to do what the Lord has called us to do to follow through some people can't even follow through with getting to church on Sunday morning some people can't even follow through to do what they say they're going to do with their husband or their wife they can't be faithful some can't follow through a simple task with the where your boss tells you to do something and you just don't do it and go do your own thing this is why Jesus said what he that is faithful in little things will be faithful in many because it's a mentality that you have to have it's a determination I'm going to finish this job I'm going to do it well I want to finish my course well and you know what to everybody in
the world looking at this in the natural Jesus being beaten and nailed to a cross looked like defeat looked like his mission was over looked like he had failed his own people rejected it the leaders of Israel they all rejected him hated him wanted him dead but three days later what happened he rose from the dead with the keys of hell death and he said now I'm going to fill you with the Holy Spirit like my father filled me and you're going to go and preach the gospel to the world and you're going to go heal the sick and cast out demons and raise the dead and cause the to walk and the blind to see you're going to do that you're going to be the light to the world yes some of you are going to suffer for it cuz you're not better than the master we are not better better than the master if he suffered we will suffer if we if he was persecuted he said you will be persecuted if you're not being persecuted and hated and going through some difficulty you are not following Jesus Christ you're playing Christianity see I quit playing a long time ago we talking about just things that God is shown me over the years the reason he's shown me some things over the years is because I spent decades asking him to show me not 20 minutes not 15 minutes while I'm riding in the car but Decades of prayer and fasting and studying this book saying Lord show me give me understanding help me know what I want to be able to preach this correctly because I don't want to lead people astray I want to be a pure clear light to people I didn't want to lead anybody off of course that's why you know what I could talk about a lot of things we could talk about all kind of crazy things going on in the world but why do I always come back to do you know Jesus do you follow Jesus do you love him with all your heart soul mind and strength are you willing to give up your sins and your own will to do his will why do you think I always come back to that because that's what matters and right now all of us are in between point a and point B right or Z I like what Jesus said what did Jesus say about himself I am the Alpha and the Omega what is that the beginning and the end you start with me finish with me follow through don't be one of those who give up in the middle who Fall Away who get tempted by something stupid in this world let me tell you there's no drug
there's no sexual sin there's no pleasure in this world that's worth going to hell over and let me tell you if hell didn't exist I just wouldn't want to be away from the peace and the presence and the power of Jesus forever because when you love him you want to be with him see right now we sometimes when he when he's not manifesting his power and presence on us and we have to walk by faith and not by sight and feelings it gets rough sometimes because it's like a longdistance relationship but is it in those long-distance relationships you find out if you're going to be faithful or not huh if you're not going to find another lover there's a lot of Christians that say they love Jesus but they're cheating on him and I can just tell you right now he's not marrying any bride that is cheating on him you hear me what does it say in Revelation let me turn there real quick it's not even 12 how is it time is moving like we're in some kind of slow time warp here Revelation 19 I love this right here see I think sometimes it's good for me to take a break from preaching I I get I get to missing things y'all get me fired up but this is right before this is right after I believe the Rapture takes place just prior to the seventh file of Wrath the judgments of God are coming down on the world and we're going to be in heaven for just a little while before we come back with him and he says this right here verse seven this is right before the second coming of Jesus where we ride back with him let us be glad and rejoice and give honor to him for the marriage of the Lamb is come and his wife hath made herself ready and to her was granted that she should be arrayed in fine linen clean and white for the fine linen is the righteousness of the Saints and he saith unto me write blessed are they which are called into the marriage supper of the lamb and he saith unto me these are the true sayings of God and then of course verse 11 I saw heaven open and behold a white horse and he that set upon him was called faithful and true and in righteousness he doth judge and make war and this is Jesus returning but he says his wife the church the bride has made herself ready and she's what she's given these white beautifully clean fine linen garments to wear which
represents not is righteousness but Purity and how are we made pure by faith our faith in the blood of Jesus and faith enough to walk with him faith enough to develop a relationship with him faith enough to start follow through and finish see I want to be standing there on this day and given a white robe because I lived for him and not myself everything you see going wrong in this world every evil thing that's going on out there is because people love themselves and they love money more than they love God period the love of money is the root of all evil well guess what that's not the only part of a tree is the root is is it you got the the what they the trunk you've got the limbs You' got the leaves so the root of all evil is the Love of Money let me tell you what the rest of the tree is love of self more than loving God more than loving other people you know the Bible shows us tells us in in first John that if we love God what and we love other people you know what the proof of it is if we love other you know we're told to love our neighbor you know everybody out in the world oh just love People Beatles all we need is love but what did the Beatles do did they lead people to God did they love God they love Jesus no they hated Jesus they said they were going to be more popular than Jesus said Christianity would would disappear and they would be oh yeah no no no there's a secular world worldly human type of love and then there's the god kind of love and the god kind of love says what I love God enough to obey him and to live not for myself but to help others come to know him you can't live for yourself and truly bring others to know him can't do it and all that's going to matter when you die or when you stand before the Judgment seat of Christ or the great white Throne all that's going to matter did you know him did you obey him did you walk with him did you finish your race or did you let the devil stop you in the middle the devil tries to stop me all
the time you all the time sometimes that spiritual warfare on my brain is over women and I know how to bind the devil I know how to resist the devil I know how to rebuke the demons I know how to make them flee but sometimes they fight and they stick around and you have to war and then another one comes and then another one comes and you can get weary and this is what it says it it says in the end times Daniel that he's going to the devil's going to come and try to wear out the saints that me that word wear out in the original Hebrew there it means emotionally mentally the war is up here the devil will lie to you try to turn you against people the devil will turn people against you and you ain't done nothing to them you see sometimes the devil puts something in somebody's mind that you should do something that you don't do because you don't know they even want you to do it then they get mad at you when you don't do it but you didn't know anything about it and then they're mad at you and you're like what are you mad about chetra you do it you've done it to me before mad at me for no reason like I call you out didn't you uhhuh but see I know cheer loves me so I know what that is when that gets in her brain but it's not only cheater is it especially you married folks let me tell you the devil put some stuff in our brains about our spouses down done she don't love me she didn't even make me breakfast this morning maybe you need to learn how to cook an egg y'all know what I'm talking about why you think divorce has happen somebody listens to the devil and allows that Hardness of Heart and Division and strife to continue until you can't finish let's stand y'all all right follow through folks you know Jesus told that Parable Luke 14 about what count the cost right you don't want to start something and not finish it and he was talking about he's talking about
building your house he's talking about your spiritual house your life with him your walk with him he said you either build it on the Rock on a good foundation or on the sand and what did he say the one who builds it on the sand the storms have are going to come and it's going to wash it away into the ocean but he said the one who builds upon the rock are the ones who hear he said who hear me and obey me he said their house will be built on the Rock but the storms are going to come to them too see these storms these battles of depression heaviness Darkness fear dread Panic all these things that come at us Temptation lust all these things fear of not having enough money or whatever all these things that it that's these Storms Come at all of us nobody's exempt but there's going to be some people who have made up their mind mind they're going to finish what they started and that's building your house on the rock and when the storms come they won't knock you down so I've been through some storms y'all a lot of y'all know I was married before that all fell apart lost everything my home my church oh pastor did you cheat on no didn't cheat I say I didn't cheat on her I didn't beat on her but you know what it was devastating but you know what and I could have in all that pain and loss and persecution I could have given up I've told y'all this there was one day I was in so much pain over what it was putting my girls through and I was just there was been some things that happened I don't know it was just it was a horrible day and I ended up 2 or 3 in the morning sitting my mom's driveway with my 9 mm stuck to my head for a minute I was was in so much pain Oh I thought about it but you know what I thought I don't want to I don't want to be away from Jesus I don't want to do this to my girls I got to finish and if I do this I can't finish and I put it down and in all that pain I had and I'm going to tell you it was absolutely
broken heart I just got up and I kept seeking the Lord and trying to follow him and that's the only way I survived that that storm 21 covid right before I got covid nearly died my sister died I didn't even get to go to her funeral may there's been a lot of pain but you get up and you keep going I remember when I got an better I mean recovered from covid enough to go back on the campaign Trail I went to my first meeting to speak again and there were two steps up to get get in the building and I almost couldn't do it I almost couldn't I was so weak I almost couldn't do it but you know what God Said run for governor so you get up and you keep going that's what I'm talking about absolute determination to finish to follow through amen what was the song you did before more what was that one can we worship the Lord for just a few more minutes I'm going to pray we're going to do this song because he's worthy and here's the good thing if you'll just keep walking with him you might be stumbling you might be weak but just keep walking he'll help you just don't lay down and give into the devil amen amen let's pray Father in Heaven I pray today that you will convict hearts and Minds that we must finish this race that we must follow you we must hear your voice we must let you lead us and guide us into all truth in your word the Bible but also in what you have for each of us to do you have different things that you want us to do in this life to be a light and a witness and a voice to the people around us to this generation Lord I pray in the name of Jesus that you will help us to be finishers to follow through to endure the Affliction the pain The Suffering The difficulties the persecution the loss the rejection the fear the depression everything the devil may bring or people may bring against us
