All right. Good morning, everyone. We welcome our fire and grey school of industry students this morning The ones here ones watching and listening. I think I'm sound a little high volume on No one any echoes, but anyway, this is our what is it block 5 this is eschatology and Of course, that's the study of final things in times our eternal destinies and Today we're going to start our study through the book of Daniel now when I say that I'm talking about primarily the prophetic Parts of the book of Daniel we will talk about like today. We're gonna go. We'll just read an introduction We're not going to read chapter one. That's for you to read today we're going to cover thoroughly chapter 2 and the study of the dream of King Nebuchadnezzar of Babylon that Daniel interpreted is really key to Bible prophecy it is a story that kind of tells you and in destroys actually destroys the false teaching of Preterism and But we'll we'll get into that in just a minute. But anyway, so this is eschatology class 3 book of Daniel And let's just read the introduction this introduction is From the Hebrew Greek keyword study Bible that I use I like their Introductions to the books of the Bible, but let's just read through this. It says Daniel Was a nobleman of Israel possibly a prince. It was taken to Babylon in the first deportation around 605 BC probably while in his early teens His ministry lasted the entire length of the Babylonian exile his last dated prophecy being made in 536 BC When Daniel was in his 80s The meaning of Daniel's name. My god is judge It's certainly in harmony with the overall theme of the book the sovereignty of God this book describes the current and future world Conflicts, but God's control over all events is clearly demonstrated Daniel is probably the most highly organized book in Scripture So I'm attribute this to the fact that near the end of his life Daniel rewrote and organized the whole book into one consolidated message But we don't know that so I love they do speculate The intricate arrangement of the ideas in the book demonstrates the extraordinary wisdom of Daniel The things that appear in Daniel's vision such as the great statue the beasts the angelic messengers the description of God's glory Are very similar to the things that are portrayed in the book of Revelation The book of Revelation cannot be properly interpreted without a general knowledge of the book of Daniel and with that I do agree
material from every chapter of Daniel is either quoted or alluded to in the book of Revelation and only two chapters in Revelation do not have some background in Daniel I actually call the book of Daniel the revelation of The Old Testament the book of Revelation for the Old Testament. So that's how important it is now what we're going to do of course chapter one deals with Daniel and his friends his young people being deported to Babylon after Nebuchadnezzar conquers Jerusalem of course, they're placed with the wise men and The astrologers and the magicians and of course They refuse to eat the king's meat which is sacrificed the idols to show that they won't compromise And so things start out, you know, Daniel starts out even in Babylonian captivity taking a stand against Compromise. All right, so this kind of shows you why God could use him in such a mighty way because he was He was going to be faithful to the Lord even in a you know Not the best situation. All right, even among the enemies of God at this time So let's move on through we're going to just read through together We're going to read through the book. I mean in Daniel chapter 2 we're going to read the whole chapter is today we're going to go through the whole chapter and we're going to break down the in the what the dream the prophetic dream that God gave King Nebuchadnezzar and gave Daniel the interpretation We're really going to focus in on that, but let's start reading here Daniel chapter 2 verse 1 And in the second year of the reign of Nebuchadnezzar Nebuchadnezzar dreamed dreams where with his spirit was troubled in his sleep break from him Then the king commanded to call the magicians and the astrologers and the sorcerers and the Chaldeans for to show the king his dreams So they came and stood before the king and the king said them I have dreamed a dream My spirit was troubled to know the dream Then spake the Chaldeans to the king and Syriac. Oh king live forever Tell thy servants the dream and we will show the interpretation The king answered and said of the Chaldeans this thing is gone for me If you will not make known unto me the dream with the interpretation thereof You shall be cut in pieces and your house shall be made a dung hill Nice fella that Nebuchadnezzar, huh? So he says but if you show the dream and the interpretation thereof you shall receive of me gifts and rewards and great honor Therefore show me the dream and the interpretation thereof And they answered again and said let the king tell his servants the dream and we will show the interpretation of it The king answered and said I know of a certainty that you would gain the time basically you're just trying to delay I've told you what you're gonna do He said because you see the thing is gone from me
But if you will not make known unto me the dream There is but one decree for you for you have prepared lying and corrupt words to speak before me Tell the time be changed therefore tell me the dream and I shall know that you can show me the interpretation thereof The Chaldeans answered before the king and said there is not a man upon the earth that can show the king's matter Therefore there is no king lord nor ruler that asked such things at any magician astrologer Chaldean amazing saying No one can do this. No one's ever done this and no king's ever asked anything like this Let's keep reading And it is a rare thing that the king requires and there is none other that can show it before the king except the gods Whose dwelling is not with flesh for this cause the king was angry and very furious and Commanded to destroy all the wise men of Babylon. Well, of course that would include Daniel and his friends and The Cree went forth that the wise men should be slain and they sought Daniel and his fellows to be slain then Daniel Answered with counsel and wisdom to Ariac the captain of the King's Guard Which was gone forth to slay the wise men of Babylon he answered and said to Ariac the king's captain Why is the decree so hasty from the king? Then Ariac made the thing known to Daniel and Daniel went in and desired of the king that he would give him time and then He would show the king the interpretation Then Daniel went to his house and made the thing known to Hananiah Michelle and Azariah his companions And we keep going here verse 18 That they would desire mercies of God of heaven concerning the secret that Daniel and his fellow should not perish with the rest of the Wise men of Babylon. So so Daniel goes back and Ask his buddies and I say hey we need to pray and ask God for God's mercy and grace and help in this matter and they pray Seek God and guess what happens? Verse 19 then was the secret revealed unto Daniel in a night vision. Now, this is just a dream But this is a prophetic dream. What does God use prophetic dreams? God reveals things and dreams so often I cannot even tell you even recently. Well, but we'll be dealing with that here soon but Then what's the secret revealed unto Daniel in the night vision? Then Daniel blessed the God of heaven Daniel answered and said blessed be the name of God forever and ever for wisdom and might are his And he changes the times and the seasons he removeth kings and set his up kings He giveth wisdom unto the wise and knowledge to them that no understanding he reveal at the deep and secret things He knoweth what is in the darkness and the light dwelleth with him I thank thee and praise thee O thou God of my fathers who has given me wisdom and might and has made known unto me now What we desire to thee for thou hast now made known unto us the Kings matter so Daniels prayed he got his answer through a dream a night vision and
Then he wakes up and he praises God for the answer Truly a godly man here. It loves the Lord Verse 24 therefore Daniel went in unto Ariok who the king had ordained to destroy the wise men of Babylon He went and said thus unto him destroy not the wise men of Babylon bring me in before the king and I will show unto the king the interpretation Then Ariok brought Daniel in before the king and haste and said thus unto him I found a man of the captives of Judah that will make known of the king the interpretation The king answered and said to Daniel whose name was they gave him a Babylonian name belt the Shazzar Art thou able to make known unto me the dream which I have seen in the interpretation thereof Daniel answered in the presence of the king said the secret which the king hath demanded cannot the wise men and the Astrologers and the magicians and the soothsayers show unto the king But there is a God in heaven that revealeth secrets Praise God and maketh known to King Nebuchadnezzar. What shall be in the latter days now that is very important I want you to underline that Daniel says that the Lord the God of heaven the God of Abraham Isaac and Jacob the God of his fathers Jehovah Elohim That he is revealed Secrets and that he is showing the king What shall be in the latter days or the last days? Okay, now he's going to show him the progression of things but all the way up to this is very important the Last days and I'm going to show you this vision shows the second coming of Jesus. Okay this was a amazing vision an amazing prophetic dream and revelation about The things that would lead up to The very last days in the second coming of Jesus Christ and the setting up of his kingdom on the earth So let's read verse 20 again, but Daniel says with that to the king But there is a God in heaven that revealeth Secrets and make known to King Nebuchadnezzar. What shall be in the latter days? Thy dream and the visions of thy head upon thy bed are these so he tells Nebuchadnezzar now Not just the interpretation. He tells him what he dreamed It's pretty intense right here, right? Said as for thee. Okay, thy thoughts came into thy mind upon my bed. What should come to pass hereafter? This is prophetic and he that revealeth secrets make us known to thee what shall come to pass But as for me this secret is not revealed to me for any wisdom that I have more than any living But for their sakes that shall make known the interpretation to the king that thou mightest know the thoughts of thy heart So here you see Daniel is also humble and he admitted This is not because I'm smarter than anybody else around here. It's just cuz God is revealing this
Alright, so great humility there from Daniel giving God the glory and the credit Verse 31 he says thou will King saw us and behold a great image This great image whose brightness was excellent stood before thee and the form thereof was terrible This image his head was a fine gold His breasts in his arms of silver his belly and his thighs of brass His legs of iron and his feet part iron and part clay. I'm just gonna say y'all need to Know all these parts here Okay, he said but you saw Till that a stone was cut out without hands Which smote the image upon the feet that were of iron and clay and break them to pieces Now this is gonna get clear in a minute, but he says there is a stone That's gonna come and hit this statue at its feet. Notice it says right here. You saw this statue head of gold chests silver thighs middle section brass iron legs feet with tit with toes ten toes Iron mixed with clay and you saw this statue until a stone That was cut out without hands. So a stone that was cut out Which smote the image so a stone came and smote the image upon his feet That were of iron and clay and break them to pieces. That is very important to remember the stone came and hit the feet All right, that's part iron and part clay and broke them to pieces now We know this in martial arts, you know, I think it was in one of the karate kid movies Let me say, you know the man can't stand he can't fight So you knock somebody's legs out from under the whole thing comes down, right and that's the point The stone comes and hits the feet. It destroys the whole thing comes tumbling down. All right. Now, let's look at this right here Verse 35 then was the iron the clay the brass and silver the gold broke into pieces Together and became like chaff of the summer threshing floors and the wind carried them away That no place was found for them and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain That filled the whole earth. Oh Wonder who this stone is what this stone is, right? It's a great mountain that fills the whole earth So he tells him the dream and then he says in verse 36 This is the dream and we will tell the interpretation thereof before the king Thou a king art a king of kings for the God of heaven hath given thee a kingdom power and strength and glory and Wheresoever the children men dwell the beast of the field and the fowls of the heaven hath he given into thine hand And hath made thee ruler over them all Then he says to the king Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon
Thou art this head of gold verse 38. So here we go. You're the head. You're the beginning of this thing You are this head of gold and after these shall rise another kingdom inferior to thee or a bit weaker and another a third kingdom of brass which shall bear rule over all the earth and a fourth kingdom shall be strong as Iron for as much as iron breaketh in pieces and subdue with all things and as iron that breaketh all these it shall break in Pieces and bruise now again. He's giving you a hint. So now what we know is that these different Metals and materials or whatever within this statue represent kingdoms that will come that will rule over The earth great portions of the earth even the holder remember This is what it said as we're gonna see from Nebuchadnezzar There have been these great kingdoms that have ruled but the one What in metal if any of you have can remember basic chemistry class which metal out of those is the hardest the strongest? Anybody know that iron? Yes iron gold is the softest actually So it just shows that this iron so just remember that iron that's why it's talking about the fourth kingdom shall be strong as iron for as much as iron breaketh in pieces and subdue with all things and as iron that breaketh the All these shall it break in pieces and bruise. Just remember the iron kingdom. We'll get to it in a second All right, and we keep reading He says and whereas thou saw us the feet and the toes Part of potter's clay and part of iron The kingdom shall be divided now. That's the final kingdom. All right The fourth kingdom he says the reason that the last kingdom is iron and clay is because he says it's going to be divided The kingdom is going to be divided and he says but there shall be in it the strength of the iron So you'll have some of the strength from this previous kingdom The kingdom shall be divided there should be the strength of iron for as much as I saw iron mixed with clay And as the toes of the feet were part iron and part clay So the kingdom shall be partly strong and partly broken very important. Remember all this Whereas I saw us the iron mixed with miry clay. They shall mingle themselves with the seed of men But they shall not cleave one to another even as iron is not mixed with clay And in the days now listen to verse 44 and 45 and in the days of these kings what kings? These ten kings this final kingdom We're gonna see that the ten toes represent ten kings in this final kingdom
All right He says in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom Which shall never be destroyed and the kingdom shall not be left to other people But it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms and it shall stand forever So God said I'm gonna set up a kingdom that's gonna stand forever when when that stone comes Hits that feet the feet of this thing destroys it and becomes a mountain that fills the whole earth We know that's the kingdom of Jesus Christ and he says this right here verse 45 For as much as thou saw us that the stone was cut out of the mountain without hands That it break in pieces the iron the brass the clay the silver and the gold the great God is made known to the king what shall come to pass hereafter and the dream is certain and The interpretation thereof sure so he says this is certain and this is sure now Let's keep reading this. We'll just finish the chapter verses 46 through 49 Then King Nebuchadnezzar fell upon his face and worshiped Daniel and commanded that they should offer an oblation and sweet odors to him The king answered unto Daniel said of a truth It is that your God is a God of gods and a Lord of kings and a revealer of secrets Seeing that thou couldest reveal his secret. You know, what's it hidden in this verse? The Godhead the triune nature of God the God of gods the father the Lord of kings the son The revealer of secrets the Holy Spirit there it is. All right verse 48 then the king made Daniel a great man and gave him many great gifts and made him ruler over the whole province of Babylon and The chief of the government governors over all the wise men of Babylon. Then Daniel requested of the king That he set Shadrach, Meshach and Abednego Over the affairs of the province of Babylon, but Daniel set in the gate of the king. All right So let's break down this statue here and here it is Boom. All right Here's the verse. We're gonna look up top there Babylon the Great Chaldean dynasty Nebuchadnezzar the second 634 to 5 62 so he says thou O king to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon for the God of heaven has given you a kingdom power Glory verse 38. You are this head of gold. So We already established that Babylon was the head of gold that starts this The next kingdom that came that conquered Babylon and took over was the Archimended Empire or the bear the medians and the Persians now what's interesting about this is notice It's the shoulders and the arms, right Now what do you have you have two shoulders and you have two arms, right?
See what that's about is the the median Persian Empire had two kings one of media one of Persia. They shared Joint rule, so that's how specific this gets All right, but the median the Persians came in and you see this later Daniel chapter 5 when Nebuchadnezzar's His son or his grandson can't remember now, but he's having the party and he takes out the vessels from the temple of the Lord and they're drinking and getting drunk and partying it up and God's hand comes and writes on the wall basically says You've been weighed in the balances and found wanting and your kingdom is now given to the Medes and the Persians alright, so So the the next kingdom that came and ruled the world was the Medes and the Persians And that was from 550 to 330 BC So then we move to the next Metal in this statue the waist here and that's the Greco-Macedonian. That's the Alexander the Great the Grecian Empire from 336 to 323 BC really an onion to 168 or so BC kind of lingered it split into four parts after Alexander the Great died at 33 years old and you know, I don't want to get too graphic with you but I'm just gonna go ahead and tell you it's interesting that this is around the sexual area because it was pretty well known that the Greeks including Alexander the Great were into all kind of homosexuality and Pedophilia and all kinds of stuff. So and it kind of spread their sexual immorality kind of it was kind of went crazy in the Grecian Empire. Okay, just a little side note of how specific again God using this dream as a statue in these different body parts to show the truth of what was what would happen now we get down to the legs of iron remember it says the iron the strongest part and What also the legs in your body your legs are what the longest part of you, right? Themer bones the longest bone in your body the Roman Empire is the iron Empire and The reason I believe it's the legs is because it lasted the longest from 44 BC to 476 a.d. Very long time for a kingdom. It had great military strength It was stronger than all the others actually conquered more land more region more area than the Babylonian Empire or the Syria Assyrian Empire, so it was stronger. I mean there was nothing like the The Roman legions there were back then there was just nothing that compared That's why I was the the opening scene to gladiator when they're in
Germania and they send out the You know they send out the guy to see if they can make peace or they're gonna go to war and of course he comes back beheaded and they said well, they say no and then Quintus and Maximus are having a little discussion and he said a people ought to know when they're conquered and Maximus said would you and then Maximus says at my signal unleash hell and boy did they ever Unleash hell they were something else that scene is probably one of the most It's just give you chill bumps that scene that way they were they were serious Alright, so you have the Roman Empire. Alright now That's the legs of iron so if all these other things were great empires and Like even the Medes and the Persians they combined Empire but yet one, right? And as you're gonna see in a minute that the Roman Empire Ended up being split into kind of east and west and that's why you had the two legs But we'll get to that in a second, but you have this this final Empire this final part the feet part iron and part clay And this is where the stone which is Jesus Christ and I'll show you that in a second hits the feet so this is telling you that At the end of the Roman Empire after the end of the Roman Empire and that when there is another empire that arises That's part iron part clay with 10 Kings That's gonna be the time of the second coming of Jesus and when he comes he will destroy all these kingdoms of men and Set up his kingdom on the earth Now can I just tell you this destroys Preterism that all this happened at 70 AD because The Roman Empire went way beyond 70 AD Okay, but we'll deal with that more in a minute But as you'll see and as we get into the book of Daniel, I'm just gonna tell you this now Chapter 7 repeats this talks about these ten toes talks about a beast with ten horns, and then he says these are ten kings that shall arise and Then an 11th horn will pop up and he's the Antichrist that will rule these ten kings and these The Antichrist and these ten kings will rule the whole world Okay That's why I put down here people have called this the new Roman Empire the revived Roman Empire the ten kings the ten kingdoms The United Nations and I'll show you that today. Well, I believe it's the United Nations the New World Order But here's what I believe the Roman Empire as you're gonna see represents the European or western side of the of the final kingdom and the clay has to represent out the gold represented Babylon and the silver represented the Medes and the
Persians and the brass represented Greece and the iron represented Rome, then the clay has to represent somebody it has to represent somebody I believe That I can show you that the clay represents the Arab nations Particularly the Muslim Arab nation. Okay Which most of them are Muslim anyway But notice he says that these two will be mixed together But they won't get along I'll show you that in a minute. Alright, let's keep going through this here this morning. So Here's the verse again. Let's look at this Daniel 2 34 and 35 he tells the king you saw this statue Until a stone was cut out without hands which smote the image Upon his feet that were iron and clay and break them to pieces then was the iron and the clay and the brass and the silver And the gold broke into pieces together and became like the chaff of the summer Threshing floors and the wind carried them away That no place was found for them and the stone that smote the image became a great mountain filled the whole earth a stone Smote the image at the feet. Alright, so let's look at what the Bible says I've already told you the rock from heaven and his kingdom Jesus all right Here's the rest of that. Let's read it again from he goes on down when it once he gives the interpretation And in the days of these kings shall the God of heaven set up a kingdom Which shall never be destroyed and the kingdom shall not be left to other people But it shall break in pieces and consume all these kingdoms and it shall stand forever For as much as I saw us that the stone was cut out of the mountain Without hands that it break in pieces the iron the brass the clay the silver the gold The great God hath made known unto the king what shall come to pass hereafter And the dream is certain and interpretation sure and so on and so forth. So let's keep going here Get into this part Just a few verses This is psalm 118 22 This is the prophecy of Jesus The stone which the builders rejected has become the head of the corner. So this was a prophetic Scripture in the book of Psalms about Jesus the rock from heaven coming and Being rejected by his own people who were supposed to be the builders of the kingdom All right, the Jews rejected it and that's in he spoke this to the Jews In fact, he spoke this to them in Matthew 21 verse 42 Jesus said to them and he was speaking to the the Jewish leaders the Pharisees and the scribes and the Sadducees and he gives this little parable in Matthew 21 and talking about them rejecting the messenger and What has Jesus said to them? Have you never read in the scriptures? The stone that the builders rejected has become the cornerstone or the headstone This was the Lord's doing and it is marvelous in our eyes
Jesus was quoting Psalm 118 to them saying I am the stone from heaven, but and you are rejecting me All right, and then we have another verse. There's many verses about Jesus being the rock stone from heaven first Corinthians 10 for And it's talking about them coming out of Egypt and how they were baptized in the sea through going through the Red Sea They were baptized under Moses. They were baptized in the cloud And it's then it says this and they all drank the same spiritual drink for they drank from that The spiritual rock that followed them and that rock was Christ. So this is This is a symbol this this rock Jesus is the rock now, here's what's interesting and and again showing again, the oneness and the deity of Jesus Christ because it says that this This rock Jesus was cut out of This mountain. Well, what's the mountain? What tells me that the mountain is God's kingdom, right? but I believe when it's talking about this mountain that the rock was cut out of and Then he sent here and destroys the kingdoms of men and that final kingdom of the Antichrist and the 10 Kings It becomes a mountain that fills the whole earth. That's his that's the kingdom of God on earth I think this mountain is talking about the mountain is the Godhead the father son of the Holy Spirit there one one mountain and God cut out part of himself and sent himself part of himself here and and I say that I mean it's again this thing of the Triune nature of God is such a mystery But Jesus fully, you know the fullness of the Godhead bodily but he talks about to being the express image of the father so it's just amazing that the the I don't know the pictures that we get the word pictures the descriptions of things but You know that rock is part of that mountain, right And it was cut out and sent here to do something But what does it become once it's here again the whole mountain again, right? All right Where Jesus has always been in the beginning was the word the word was with God the word was God the word became flesh see God in his Triune nature as Father word, Holy Spirit
It's always been one mountain All right When he decides to come here in the flesh Right, that's when he cuts out this part of himself and come and but same material just like I've said before I don't care if it with water you have You have the liquid you have the solid the ice and you have the steam the gas I don't even know what whatever state it's in. It's still H2O That's its chemical makeup. So still water. All right, let's move on Through this here. Let's come back to this. I mentioned this a couple times But I want to really emphasize this because there's a lot of people I still get people pushing this False teaching of Preterism and I have proven and we did a show probably Two years ago. I don't know Yeah, maybe I don't know somewhere around there on Prophecy Quake show on this Preterism and how it was created by the Roman Catholic Church and the Jesuits to get people away from the true Meaning of Bible prophecy and them being the great horde mystery Babylon and the whole nine yards, but Literally, I mean it boggles my mind when people say everything was fulfilled everything in Bible prophecy Was fulfilled in 70 AD when Titus of Rome came in with the 10th Legion and destroyed Jerusalem and scattered the Jewish people again to the four winds and That that was also people say that was the spiritual second coming of Jesus through the Roman legions to bring judgment upon the Jews for rejecting him and That we're now in the millennial reign, which is symbolic and all this crazy stuff I'm not joking. There are people teaching this and that there are no future in time prophecies to be fulfilled that it all was fulfilled instead of the AD and basically that we should We're to preach the kingdom and all of that stuff and take over the world. That's where you get the seven mountain Kingdom now Dominion theology nonsense all these faults ideas of in time prophecy That all really originated with the Jesuits in the Romans The Roman Catholic Church I should say and that's why we still have the Romans with All right, but this one prophetic revelation in Scripture of this statue This dream of Nebuchadnezzar Interpreted the dream and they think about it. The dream was given to Nebuchadnezzar Nebuchadnezzar forgets it God gives the dream to Daniel so Daniel can Give it back to the king and give the interpretation so this is a prophetic dream given twice given to Nebuchadnezzar then given to Daniel and that's why he said it is
sure Remember the dream was given about the famine to Pharaoh twice two different ways And he says this is established. It is sure So let me tell you if everything happened in 70 AD Then the Roman Empire should have completely come to an end We should have went into a kingdom that was part Roman Empire and part something else In 10 Kings and all that and we should have the kingdom of God on earth We do not all right The Bible says Jesus will sit here He will be seen in fact the book of Zechariah Talks about when he comes every eye will see him and those who pierced him and that they will ask him Why do you have these wounds in your body? They will ask the Messiah the Jews that are the remnant of the Jews that will say why do you have these wounds in your body? And then he says this was what I received in the house of my friends. That's what he says to him That hadn't happened So all of this could not have been fulfilled in 70 AD so Preterism is a lie It is a deception. It is a distraction. It is to get people to believe Remember the parable that Jesus told if the servant this is in Luke 12 He said if the servant says my Lord delayeth is coming or basically it's already happened or whatever. It's just nonsense Okay, we haven't had the Antichrist. We haven't had the mark of the beast We haven't had you know, we haven't had the earthquake that made all the cities of the nation's fall I mean, these are things that haven't happened. So There's there's there's four different views of end-time Bible prophecy. There's historical there's the spiritual or allegorical There's the Preterist and Then there's the future All right And all and what we believe what I believe what I teach and I believe is correct biblically is the futurist view and Not to say that we don't believe some end-time prophecies have already happened in history But that they're still the fulfillment of all of them and the final ones are still in the future now We believe it's in the near future, but it's still in the future.
