I started a few weeks ago entitled demons and deliverance This is part three This is on doorways Open doors how we open doors to the devil of course I've covered the scriptures From Ephesians 4 27 it says give no place to the devil. Are we good? Go ahead. You can start Okay All right. I just didn't see it up here. So I didn't know Anyway Ephesians 4 27 Makes it real clear give no place to the devil and as I've stated over and over again in this series That was spoken to Christians by the Holy Spirit through the Apostle Paul So if if he had to tell people that if you had to tell Christians that then it's possible to give place
To the devil in your life. Well, how do we do that? Well, we do it mostly through ignorance Now let's look at a couple of verses here. I mean that ignorance is not bliss Now in this second Corinthians chapter 2 verse 11 in the context of it Paul's talking about forgiveness and we'll get to that because today we're going to talk about really the seven primary Doorways that we give place or open doors to demon spirits in our lives for them to afflict us One of them will be unforgiveness. We'll get to that toward the end But in context Paul said he's talking about forgiveness, but then he says this in 2nd Corinthians 2 11 He says less Satan should get an advantage of us For we are not ignorant to his devices So what is this verse implying here? It's implying that if you're ignorant to Satan's devices if you're ignorant to how he works to how he tries to Attack you and manipulate you and work To get in your life if you're ignorant that he will get an advantage of you Paul was saying hey, we're not ignorant So ignorance is not bliss other passage of Scripture here Hosea 4 6 and 7 Something God said here. We have both Old and New Testament to witness this God said my people Not the lost not the Gentiles not the unsaved not the heathen He said my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge my people the people of God This should know better We shouldn't be destroyed devoured vexed tormented afflicted be in bondage We shouldn't be controlled by the devil. We shouldn't be destroyed remember Jesus said in John 10 10 He said the thief cometh not before to kill still and destroy it But I am come that you might have life and that you might have it more abundantly We like to look over those words, but Jesus said you might have it might maybe hopefully But Paul, but through Hosea here the Prophet Hosea God says my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge He says because you have rejected knowledge. I will also reject you That you shall be no priest to me seeing you have forgotten the law of thy God I will also forget thy children and then God says as they were increased or as they were blessed He's on by these people so they sinned against me therefore will I change their glory into shame? so pretty serious that we are not ignorant to Satan's devices now Let's go back to a passage that we we mentioned last week in a different context about Satan standing in the presence of God at his throne He made his statement To the Lord about this hedge that God puts around his people the hedge of protection God in the book of Zechariah. He says he is a wall of fire around his people
Bible talks about the name of the Lord is a high tower and the righteous run into it and they are safe The Lord does desire to be a hedge a wall a shield around his people and As we see even in the old covenant We see this hedge of protection this wall this barrier and this is job one nine and ten And Satan answered the Lord and said does Job fear God for not for nothing has thou not made a hedge about him and about his house and about all that He hath on every side thou has blessed the work of his hands and his substance is increased in the land So God said, you know, the devil even said I can't touch him You put a hedge about it You've put a wall a fence a shield. I can't do anything to it. Don't you want to be in that place? Right, but most of us sadly are not because we're ignorant to the devil's devices Because we want to continue playing with sin. We want to play with things that belong to the devil. And so we are constantly Breaking the hedge we're constantly Opening a door to the devil. Now, what's interesting about this this word in the Hebrew for hedge. I Want you to see it's called suk The Hebrew word here is suk and it means to fence about or to hedge in with thorns But I want you to look at the letters of the word. Of course, I've been studying more and more the Ancient Hebrew the paleo Hebrew, but look at these letters And of course Hebrew goes from right to left So Move on here These are the letters of the word hedge here This letter here they go from right to left so you have shin valve and dalette shin valve dalette What blew my mind is as you look up these letters and what they mean It's mind-blowing. Here's a picture of shin and it's as it's kind of evolved over the centuries, but it it has Deep meaning each letter this word shin means Teeth it also the picture is teeth, but it means to consume. It's also a fire or flames of fire Here's another picture of that It just gives you an idea of the word shin or sheen as some pronounce it When it has a little dot on the other side, it's pronounced sin without this But it also means flames of fire. So it appears that it's actually like it's flames here There's something else significant about this letter is that this letter is kind of God's initial
This is from Wikipedia just to give you it says shin also stands for the word Shaddai a name for God El Shaddai Because of this a coin of priest forms the letter shin with his hands as he recites the priestly blessing in the mid 1960s actor Leonard Nimoy old Spock Used a single-handed version of his gesture to create the Vulcan hand salute for his character, mr. Spock So when he did this he was making the three the shin letter Of Course they use it on all kind of different things God also said he would put his name in Jerusalem and you see and I've been there I've stood on Mount Zion. I've stood on Mount Moriah and I've stood on Mount the Mount of Olives I've been all through walked all through here But there's three valleys that run through here Coming up through this way and it makes the letter shin as God said he would put his name in In Jerusalem, so the shin is like another and you know, this is another picture of it here the Henan Valley here the Tyro poi in there whatever have they say poi on Going up through here. There's the Temple Mount in the Kidron Valley that divides the Temple Mount and Mount olives So you see the word shin there of the letter shin Let me just give you a little interesting tidbit here about this letter. Do you notice in fact, let's back up Let's back up one here. If you notice this letter shin, I didn't know this but I Watched a video the other day and saw a Jewish rabbi talking about that. This letter is made up of three valves The letter valve is the straight, you know, kind of a little Almost arm at the top and then a straight letter. Remember the letter valve is a nail. That's the picture It's a nail. I find that this being God's signature are part of one of his names in This letter that it's made up of three nails Well, Jesus had a nail in each hand and a nail one nail through his feet three nails Also, it's one letter but it's made of three So three father son Holy Spirit one letter So you get both the Trinity and that and of course it being representative of a flame of fire God said in multiple places in the scripture. I am a consuming fire That is part of a part of his nature So you see that letter so we're going to move on here and here's the other two letters in the word valve the nail or the hook the tent peg and Dalette which means door doorway entrance Its picture is a door. So let's look back at this. So the word hedge is made up of God the God of Israel El Shaddai The nail or the tent peg which means to secure and Dalette means the door
So literally the word hedge means the Almighty God of Israel secures the door All right Pretty good. That's what he wants to do. That's what he was doing with with Job the hedge around Job's life God had all the doorways were secure because Job was righteous. Job was living for God Job was under the blood covenant. In fact, God said he didn't he doesn't do anything wrong pretty amazing, isn't it and even when God allowed Satan in a door God backed away and Allowed Satan in a door to attack. It says still that Job did not sin with his mouth Pretty good here. Now, let's go to Genesis 4 6 and 7 You'll see this This is a story of when Cain was about to Kill his brother Abel and I'm not going to read all of it But the Lord begins to speak to Cain. Cain is jealous. Cain is angry because God accepted Abel's sacrifice but didn't accept Cain's fruit of the ground but accepted the blood of one of Abel's sheep basically Abel was going to do it God's way and bring the blood of an animal and Cain was going to do it his way bring the fruits of the ground that was cursed and Cain obviously knew Which way was God's way? He was just gonna do it his way I know a lot of people like that and the Lord said unto Cain Why are thou Roth or why are you angry and why is thy countenance fallen? Why you got your lips stuck out if thou do as well Shout thou not be accepted and if thou do us not well, look what he said We just run over. He said sin lieth at the door sin lieth at the door and These shall be his desire and thou shalt rule over him really it says there you should rule over sin Now the picture you get from this sin lieth at the door the Hebrew word you get the picture It's as if an animal is crouched at the door waiting to attack. You're like a lion or a tiger It's crouched and ready to attack and God was warning Cain You're about to open the door to Satan because I don't have this verse pulled up But in 1st John 3 it talks about Cain was of that wicked one and then murdered his brother What happened here when sin was lying at the door when Cain made the decision That he was going to go harm his brother and he didn't deal with the sin He opened the door not only to sin but to Satan and then murdered his brother He became a vessel for Satan himself Now we've already covered these verses, but I'm going to cover them again Ephesians 4 27 neither give place to the devil and
Then the scripture here because a lot of people just think well if I'm a Christian I don't have to worry about this if I'm born again. I'm good the devil can't touch me But that's not the warning we get from Scripture the warning and the attitude we get from Scripture Peter's speaking to Christians He says be sober be vigilant because your adversary the devil as a roaring lion walketh about seeking whom he may devour That means he's looking for people who will open doors to him He's looking for people for Christians who will give him place who will open a door either through ignorance or through willful Disobedience sin and if you open a doorway he will come into you I don't care if you're a Christian or not if you open the door to a demon spirit He will come into you. That's what I've been talking about for these several weeks. They please he asked he's 10 8 very clear he that they get the pit shall fall into it and Whose soul breaketh the hedge a? Serpent shall bite him So if you're a hedge breaker say well, I'm a Christian. I got a hedge around me really do you Or are you a hedge breaker a lot of you don't understand that that even after you got saved There were there were holes in the hedge We'll get to that in a second, but I wanted you to see this Now let's go. I want everybody to get take your Bibles out in turn To mark 9 because I could only put a few verses up, but I want to read a good portion of this because you know I I have people all the time and Contact me about deliverance contact me with questions and comments and all that's fine And some I haven't been able to get back to I'm getting I'm getting more and more busy But not too long ago. I had somebody contact me, and I really hadn't even answered them yet Because I had this guy contact me and obviously his daughter has some obvious clear demonic problems demonic manifestation But what I love is is that this guy said he tried to cast demons out of his daughter He's taking his daughter to these different churches. No one has been successful Then he contacts me and tries to tell me how I'm supposed to do it I don't know a lot of those people. I'm just like okay if you know how to do it. Why aren't they working? Don't contact me for help and then try to tell me how to help you That ain't gonna be the way it works all right But one of his comments was he said I don't believe we have to go back into the past I believe he didn't want to go back in the past because I believe he's the problem Parents open doorways to their children if you notice a lot of times it was children being brought to Jesus
Why their children getting demonically attacked because their parents open doors parents We are responsible the stuff. We do as you're going to see Opens doors for our children to be attacked vex tormented. Yes, and even possessed So this stuff is serious because the ramifications are not just for you Your children your grandchildren your great grandchildren even to the third and fourth generation stuff You do can affect your family for centuries People say well this guy tried to tell me he said well I don't believe we need to go back in the past we don't need to go into all those details I said yeah, yeah, you don't want to do it. You don't want to do it, right? You just want some relief, but you don't want to really get to the root of the problem because you're the root of the problem But maybe I'll address him. I won't let's read this. This is mark chapter 9 Guess I'll be turning there myself And I want to show you what Jesus Jesus went. I believe this about you He was the greatest teacher of all and I believe everything he did Even the way he did things he was teaching us and so let's read this. This is Mark 9 we're going to start reading at verse 14 And says that when he came to his disciples He saw a great multitude about them and describes questioning with them and straightway all the people when they beheld them Were greatly amazed running to him and saluted him And he asked the scribes what question you with them and one of the multitude answer said master I have brought of thee my son which hath a dumb spirit and Wheresoever he taketh him he tarrith him and he fomoth and he nashes with his teeth and pine at the way And I spoke to thy disciples that they should cast him out and they could not and he answered him and said Oh faithless Generation how long shall I be with you? How long shall I suffer you bring him unto me and they brought him Unto him and when he saw him straightway the spirit tore him and he fell on the ground and wallowed foaming I wish I could bring the video video of the demon manifestation in the child who they just took the video games away from Full on demons talking I'm gonna play it next week, but this kid was walling on the ground foaming at the mouth The spirit was tearing him Did Jesus jump in there and cast the demon out of the boy? New what did Jesus ask? He turned and he asked his father how long ago since this came unto him and he said of a child and Oftentimes he has cast him into the fire and into the waters to destroy him But if thou can't do anything have compassion on us and help us Now I wanted to show you something. It's Jesus here Jesus the Messiah The Son of the Living God God manifested in the flesh Operating in the fullness of the Holy Spirit. Why didn't he just
Go cast the demons out of the boy and part with all this conversation He's teaching us as Jesus wanted to show us We got to get to the root of this problem. So when did this begin? So I do deliverance what I do is I always go back as far back as we can go I'll go back all the way to your childhood Let's go back to the beginning As most of your problems started in your childhood Your doorways the sins the things done to you things you are around traumatic events all these things shaped your life and some of them Gave place to the devil and some of them. It was your parents or your grandparents or your great-grandparents. They Did things that gave place to the devil in your life? And that's why we see these children these children look children are innocent until they reach an age of accountability So why are children being oppressed and afflicted and tormented and possessed by demons? Well, what did Jesus when Jesus said how long how long ago says oh? It's the guy said even when he was even younger when the child was younger And the demon was trying to you know cast and get the boy to cast himself into the water in the fire to kill himself Oh But then the man keeps talking and I love that people can just keep talking You find out problems. They just talk and he says to Jesus if you can do anything You don't say that to Jesus You don't say that to God. What is that? Revealed it reveals unbelief it reveals a lack of faith it reveals fear The problem with the child was the father's unbelief the father's sin the father's attitude That's why the child was like that and you have to remember all this is going on while the child is laying on the ground And his spirit is tearing him and he's foaming at the mouth and freaking out and there's a multitude of people around well Why doesn't Jesus do something so then Jesus turns to him and I love this one of my favorite stories in the Bible And he says Lord if you can do anything Help us have compassion on us and help us basically you're not doing anything Lord, so you're not you're not operating in love You're not doing anything and Jesus turns to him said no if you can believe If you can believe basically what he just told that father is if you don't move out of your fear your unbelief which is sin If you don't move out of that if if you can believe all things are possible I tell people all the time you want freedom from demons, but you don't even believe you're you're afflicted with them Right you say you just won't help with your problem, but you won't acknowledge the problems demons
You don't have faith in God's word. It's not in what pastor Dean says Do you believe God's word do you have true faith, and I love the father cries out You know and he says you know he repents I love it. He repents, and he says a straightway verse 24 the father of the child cried out with tears Said with tears Lord I believe helped my unbelief and when Jesus saw the people come running together He rebuked the foul spirit saying thou dumb and deaf spirit I charge they come out of him and enter no more into him and the spirit cried and rent him sore and came out of him And he was as one dead and so much that many said he is dead But Jesus took him by the hand and lifted him up, and he arose and of course When the disciples asked why we couldn't cast him out verse 29 She said this guy didn't come forth by nothing, but by prayer and fasting So an important passage here now. This is what I'm getting at about we're gonna. We're gonna list doorways Because Jesus went back into the history of this boy instead of just casting just jumping in the situation and cast out So people always want me to jump into their situation and fix it for them Well now we got to find out some things we got to find out Why are we having this problem? Why what are what do these doorways come from? Why is there an attack? Why is this going on? This is a powerful scripture. We're gonna read a few scriptures here, but this is job 13 You can turn there and look job 13 23 through 24 and verse 26 here, but he says here, and I love this he says how many are my iniquities in my sins? Make me to know my transgression in my sin and then he asked God wherefore hide is thou Why do you hide your face and hold me for for your enemy think about this? Yeah, you ever seen you know when when they're people gang up You know two or three guys getting up on another guy, and there's always one holding him holding him up for the other one I've been in some of those unfair fights, so I understand this I fought five guys when I buy myself I took out two of them, but I lost that fight all right hold him up, and he's saying here God, why are you holding me up and letting my enemy just wail on me? Why why why are you allowing this? And then Job says this You write bitter things against me, and you make me to possess The iniquities of my youth I'm gonna break that one down for you in a minute But let's look at the way to proceed if you want freedom from something if you want help from something especially a sin Problem a demon problem a marital problem whatever it may be the first step Is you better start talking about it because he says here he that coverth his sin shall not prosper But who so confesses and forsake at them shall have mercy Proverbs 28 13 Here's James 5 16 confess your faults one to another and pray one for another that you may be healed
And then of course having therefore these promises dearly beloved let us cleanse ourselves from all filthiness of the flesh and spirit Perfecting holiness in the fear of God so what I'm getting at that it is biblical to confess your faults Now some of us have so many sins so many faults so many open doorways to the devil That we couldn't do it all off the top of our head I know I couldn't back in the old days So I realized to thoroughly deal with my sins and the demons that I opened doors to I had to make a thorough list Let me show you how this is biblical The definition here of possess when when he told Job you make me to possess the iniquities of my youth the word possess y'all rush is Interesting because it means to occupy or to drive out previous tenants It is a picture. It's not the picture of You're making me to hold them or to have them You are making me drive out the inhabitants in my life that that came through my iniquities and my sins That is the picture of the word and if you go on to see the Genesis Hebrew Cal D lexicon Continues this thought when it says the word possess means to take possession of or to occupy by force So meaning you you must occupy you must deal With the sins and the open doorways of your youth By force is what he's saying Most of us have never done that We continue I love this because this Hebrew Greek lexicon continues to say you must take possession Drive out from the possession the Edomite Edomites expelled them the whole rights and destroyed them These are the the idea so he's giving you the idea you must drive out These things now the word right when he said you write bitter things against me We're gonna skip on He says here in Job 13 it literally means to Put in writing but look at this right here this phrase to direct in writing Everybody see that So there's what he's saying is Lord you are directing me in writing To possess or to drive out or deal with the issues of the iniquities of my youth So this is why I make people write down the list so we can be thorough now. Here's your seven main doorways That you're gonna have these are the seven primary doorways that Open a way for a demon to come in and get a stronghold in your life
Now each one of these folks can be a sermon. So I'm really kind of only touching on these things But number one is generational curses or the sins of our fathers that are passed down to the third and fourth generation childhood trauma slash abuse occult pagan practices number four sexual sins number five oaths vows and curses Things we speak or people speak six touch or close association Number seven unforgiveness or bitterness. I want you to write these down Now again, I'm not going to be able to cover all these thoroughly today. There's so much here But let's look at the verse of Scripture. Let's look at generational sins for just a minute Now this is numbers 14 18 that we have up here, but it's also in Exodus 20 right in the middle of the Ten Commandments The statement is made the Lord is long suffering and of great mercy and forgiving iniquity and transgression and by no means clearing the guilty Visiting the iniquity of the fathers upon the children unto the third and the fourth generation. Oh My us parents. We don't like to hear that. They were responsible Now children and teenagers would like to try to take that see it's your fault Well, maybe when you were little but now It's on you We all straighten this out. I straighten it out of my own life Here's a New Testament passage to give you the idea that things are passed down spiritually both good and bad This is second Timothy 1 5 He's talking to Timothy said when I called her remembrance the unfeigned faith or the good solid, you know sincere genuine faith that is in thee which dwelt first in thy grandmother Lois and my mother Eunice and I am persuaded that It's in you also So there's good things that are passed down spiritually through the generations I Want to break break this down just a little bit before we get into the next one here, but Listen to me closely on this There was a there was a study done a guy studied two two men who lived in the 1700s In fact, I need to pull this up. I didn't I didn't have time to transfer all this, but I do have it here And this is from a book entitled generational curses it was quite fascinating because It just talks about these two men and one one was Everybody heard of Jonathan Edwards All right. Now listen to this
You want to talk about things that can can follow a family for centuries? This is one of the most profound examples that we have ever read of families exhibiting the blessing or the curse of The generations is the example of the Edwards family versus the jukes family Jonathan Edwards who was the great? What was the head of Yale and the great leader of the? First Great Awakening. He was a preacher who's a man of God who's famous for the The the famous sermon that sparked the first great revival awakening in America centers in the hands of an angry God Anyway, he was a godly man You know Jonathan Edwards and Max jukes were contemporaries Their lives however could not have been more difference Edward Edwards was a committed Christian minister who gave God first place in his life and married a godly woman jukes was an atheist who married a godless woman a man once studied the descendants of these two men over a period of time and this is what he found of the 540 descendants of max jukes who could be traced 310 died as paupers poor 150 became criminals including seven murderers 100 were known to be drunkards and at least half of the women were prostitutes The antics of max jukes descendants cost the United States government more than 1.2 five million dollars back then and of course We we can see the drastic difference. Here's the descendants of the 1394 descendants that could be traced to Jonathan Edwards 295 graduated from college 13 became college presidents 65 became professors three were elected to the United as to be United States senators. This is back when our politicians had some virtue Another 80 held some form of public office one served as vice president of the United States 30 were judges 100 were lawyers 60 were physicians and 75 officers of the military 100 were missionaries and preachers 60 were prominent authors None of Edwards descendants was a liability to the United States government imagine that Amazing now that doesn't mean that all of Edwards descendants were godly righteous people or perfect or sinless or even that They became born-again Christians, but it shows the power of a generational curse or a blessing That can move down I'm gonna tell you I had to break a lot off of my life It was wild because I didn't know much about my my grandfather or my great-grandfather on my mom's side because they died early
Well recently I've come to find out why they died early Because they were a bunch of roughneck hooligans And they love to get drunk regularly and they and when when they got drunk they got you know a little mean and even the brothers would pull out knives and fight each other and cut each other and guess what both my grandfather and my great-grandfather and my Grandfather's uncle. I mean my uncle my grandfather's brother Who fought in World War two and lost a leg? died were murdered in bar fights left for dead and died and I thought to myself This is what's so wild that curse Was haunting me in my teenage years Because I started going to the bars I started drinking and I started fighting I started carrying knives and the fights were getting worse and worse and they were going from just fist fights to people pulling knives on on each other and people pulling guns on each other and I remember saying to myself and you remember I had no knowledge of these things of this generational sin in my family and I remember thinking One of the last bar fights I got into it a guy pulled a knife on me and I pulled my knife out And I had a bigger knife. I talked him into putting the knives up and fighting for real But as I'm fighting him another guy's coming up behind me with a baseball bat had not a friend of mine had a Pulled out the shotgun and pointed in his face. He would probably crack my skull. It made me kill me I would have probably died the same way as My great-grandfather and my grandfather and I began to wake up and I began to realize Especially when I went into college in that years when God began to get my attention and I thought to myself if I keep going down this road I'm gonna be dead in a bar fight with a knife or a gun I'm gonna be dead and I just saw this I just realized this just the other day that this curse was haunting me now when I got saved when I learned the Truths of deliverance and breaking generational curses. I started breaking curses off everything I knew and it began to change but Man, I'm say one. I mean just to think about this one night That guy pulls a knife on me. I and my backs turn to him. I don't know he's pulled a knife The music's playing the bands playing. I can't hear anything This guy's getting ready to stick a knife in my back and I happen to turn around something told me turn around And I turn around and he had his hands that he was opening it the knife Big buck knife and I reached back and I snatched it away from me and knocked him unconscious But I would have been dead I think if it had to been for the prayers of my grandmother my great aunt's they were fighting the demons in me
They were fighting the curse upon my life they were they were keeping me alive until I could get to Jesus and get the truth and Break the curses and get the demons out of generational curses are serious and they're real I could spend a whole sermon on that the next thing number two we talked about This is probably the main thing this this these statistics are true. I checked and double-checked These are true, and they're sad, but there's nothing that opens a person up to demons any faster than being abused physically or Even mentally, but especially sexually sexual sexual abuse will open the door to demons to come in Dissociative disorders multiple personalities all this stuff that can happen These are just different ways of saying Demon infiltration in a person's life, but look at this 17 million children will be sexually abused over the next 18 years 47% of child molesters were sexually abused as children the devil knows how to perpetuate the problem 42 million number of sexual abuse survivors in the US today, and that's probably conservative because a lot of them never tell 77 percent of child molesters are married 93 percent of child molesters consider themselves religious 90 percent of children have known they're abuser 1% of child molesters are female One in three girls are sexually abused one in five boys Do you think we have a problem in the world? number of convicted pedophiles living in the US 400,000 and they let them out and they're gonna do it again Only in this this disturbs me here only one in ten children will tell someone they were molested There's so many people this has shattered so many lives. The Bible says mark that person Roman 16 says mark a divisive man and avoid it So what I'm saying today about forgiveness does not mean That you have to ignore everyone's behavior and still hang out with him. So please understand what I'm saying We don't have to ignore a lot of people think oh if you forgive you just throw it away and there's no consequences or problems And you've got to hang out with I use the term all the time a woman that's a Christian. Maybe she got raped She has to she has to ultimately deal with that hurt and that pain and forgive that person who wronged her She's got to deal with forget. She's got to forgive them doesn't mean She has to hang out with them or become friends with him. So, please don't misunderstand what I'm saying today
But you have to forgive from the heart when you have been hurt wounded mistreated lied about whatever Because if you don't if you hold that in You're going to become bitter and you're going to become angry and what the Lord has spoken to me many times Is that not this this is not just? This is not just an emotion. This is a sin you're committed Unforgiveness is a sin and it opens the door for the tormentors What are the tormentors pastor Dean take a guess? Dr. Larry Lee years ago. I didn't do anything. Oh, God And then the Lord speaks to me as he's talking and he says you you have unforgiveness toward Cayman And you know I noticed that over the last several months that I've been getting more irritable short They took a day. I was getting more depressed. I was I was getting more Frustrated with every little thing and I realized that you know my prayer life was difficult Bible study was difficult What's going on and finally the Lord says you have unforgiveness story all right can't argue with God Boy, it's pointless. You can but it's pointless and I said okay, what would I do and he said well you're unforgiveness in your heart Toward her is sin, and you had a confess it is sin, and you've got to repent
I said Lord forgive me for having unforgiveness for my daughter forgive. I forgive her I Bless her and I asked Jesus to wash it away to forgive me And I bound the demon tormentors of unforgiveness go for me in Jesus name. I want to tell you Immediately I felt this heavy weight Lift off of me now she hadn't changed one bit of her behavior She's still a snot She hasn't changed one bit So you can mention Caitlin now and my anxiety level doesn't rise my anger doesn't rise My frustration doesn't rise now. Do I still have? hurt and desire that things could be Back to normal yeah, I do But I'm actually moved at a place where I'm trusting God with her and I'm not worried about it, and that's peace If you have unforgiveness you will have no peace you will have tormentors demon tormentors Because of the sin of unforgiveness Everybody say this with me unforgiveness Is a sin Listen some of you some of you Even in this church you're you you're offended by you've been offended and hurt or frustrated or By somebody else in church, and you hadn't really dealt with it you tolerate them But you hadn't really dealt with and I'm going to end this message with this and y'all need to listen to me real close marriages Nancy will tell you I'm not the easiest person to live with I have issues I mean I have issues man. but you get married life Life's a bumpy road tonight, and I can say though the strength of our marriage is not just that we love each other It's not just that we agree Spiritually on things we are we are truly equally yoked together I have to say she is a very submissive wife and respects my authority doesn't mean we don't Bump heads about things sometimes But the thing about Nancy and I that that God has blessed us the strength that we have is God dealt with us both about forgiveness and So she could do something that gets me upset or angry or hurt or I could do something that gets her Upset and angry hurt, but one of the things we're able to do is it doesn't go very long does it back? Because one of us will usually go hey, I'm sorry please forgive me and neither one of us keep holding on to and We can have an argument today about something and we never bring up An argument from the past that lets you know All isn't that we're not bringing up that stuff you get an argument and stuff's coming up from ten years ago We have a problem But listen to me all marriages all divorces. It's not about Infidelity that'll cause it yeah, but but before long before there's infidelity Jesus said there was one thing that caused divorce or why he said that God gave Moses the Blank to say you could get a divorce But Jesus talked about it. He said hardness of heart hardness of heart Where does hardness of heart come from hardness of heart comes from when you don't forgive? From the heart when you don't release it things done to you wrong Look Caitlin has done me wrong and she could probably and she's probably looking back and things in in the past When her and me and her mother were together and she you know We had issues and she's probably still mad about something from 20 years ago or 15 years ago That's her issue.
