praise god it's good to worship the lord amen it's something when it and when it ends up being uh more than songs you're singing in it amen praise god i want everybody to take your bibles this morning because i really do have something burning on my heart this morning i want you to take your bibles and turn with me first to the book of ephesians chapter two we're going to start there ephesians chapter 2 because there's just something burning on my heart and it's it was so vivid and clear it's like the lord gave me a vision of this first slide that i've created this morning for the powerpoint and i just saw it but this this issue's been burning on me for some time but the title of the message this morning is real simple dead dead doesn't sound good some of it's not but some of it is amen dead glory to god there's good side there's a bad side we're going to examine this this morning in detail but i want you to hear what leonard ravenhill says everybody know who leonard ravenhill is anybody know who he is if you don't if you don't know who leonard ravenhill is you should probably go up to sermonindex.com and and download some of his uh messages because uh he passed away in about 1994 but he was probably one of the most fiery godly holy men of prayer he was a prophet to our nation and to england he wrote many books his one of his best-selling books was why revival teres he wrote another book entitled sodom had no bible just books like that on the judgment seat of christ and other things he was a mentor to david wilkerson uh to evangelist steve hill and dr michael brown and others um he was friends with a.w tozer and preached together he was just a preacher of preachers he was really a prophet to preachers is what he was just a a man of holiness a man not afraid to preach the truth you can see him on youtube you know and um anyway this is what he said and i'm i want you to i want you to look at this comment this morning this was uh he said this in a message he preached in 1989 entitled where's the fire but he made this statement and this is a radical statement for most of christianity but i'll show you this morning in the word of god that it's true he said there are only two kinds of people in this world those dead to sin and those dead in sin well you need to let that one settle in
right there the christian the born-again christian the christian who loves god with all of his heart soul mind and strength or her for that matter the christian is supposed to be dead to sin we are supposed to crucify the deeds of the body that we may live so this is the good side of being dead being dead to sin is good somebody ought to say amen right there and if god let me just say this if god said be dead to sin then we could be dead to sin and let me just say this the problem that the reasons that most christians are not dead to sin is because they don't want to be they in a lot of them because of their preachers don't think they have to be but if you read the word of god especially romans and galatians and ephesians and colossians if you read those books that paul wrote to christians he said mortify the deeds of the body die to the flesh die to the world the world should be crucified unto you and you unto the world we've got to break the chains off of us of loving the world once and for all amen no more games and i'm going to talk about loving self too about dying to self two kinds of people in this world those dead to sin or those dead in sin let's let this sink in this morning let's talk about those dead in sin first for a minute here's what the bible says i had you turn to the book of ephesians ephesians chapter 2. i want you to see this just so you know what the bible calls us before we were born again before you came to know jesus and you had a born-again experience and you really turned to the lord for the first time believed in his in his death on the cross for your sins believed in his resurrection from the dead believed he was god manifested in the flesh hated your sin understood your sin was going to damn you to an eternity in hell you understood the truth and you turn from it and there was a supernatural experience in your heart you were born again when that happened the bible says something about that it says that you before that happened that you were dead in trespasses and sins now wait a minute i was walking around alive so god's talking about something else he's talking about being spiritually dead now even though the human body the or the human being has a spirit a soul and a body and even though a witch or somebody into satanism or the new age movement their spirit man is still works and will travel outside their body and they can do different things just because it's active does not mean it's spiritually alive to be spiritually alive means to be connected to the creator god through the blood of jesus christ to have the life of god in you and to know that you have passed from death unto life that's what being saved is being saved
is not saying i believe in jesus and nothing changes in your life or inside of you that's just a lie from the pit of hell but it's preached in every church pray this prayer sign this card believe in jesus you know the bible says that the devils believe and tremble but it doesn't save them right all right the bible says we were dead in trespasses and sins when we walked according to the course of this world according to the prince of the power of the air let's read this in ephesians verse chapter 2 verse 1 and he says and you speaking to christians now here he matter of fact if you go back to ephesians 1 verse 1 he says to the saints at ephesus and to the faithful in christ jesus so people that aren't living faithful to jesus can't claim anything in the book of ephesians for them all right let's understand who he's writing to sometime a bunch of sinners out here a bunch of backslidden lukewarm christians go around claiming they're they're sealed and all this stuff that's in the book of ephesians no you're not the book was written to the saints and the faithful in christ jesus but he says he said you saints and faithful brethren in christ is you has he quickened or made alive who were dead in trespasses and sins say this with me i was dead in trespasses and sins when i walked according to the course of this world so when i walk like the world walks i was dead before jesus came into my life and i repented and turned away from that stuff before he made me alive i was dead in trespasses and sins dead dead doomed ephesians goes on to say alienated from the life of god boy that doesn't sound good does it alienated from the life of god boy i don't want to ever be there alienated from the life of god but he says when we walked according to the course of the path of this world according to the prince and the power of the air now i want to turn to something real quick just so we understand what he's talking about when you see the word world used okay world what he's talking about world or worldliness let's go to first john go to 1st john chapter 2. and i got to do this before we go any further i mean this is burning on me i can tell you right now it's just like a fire on the inside of me of my heart right now because you're going to be dead to sin or you're going to be dead in sin we're going to talk about what it means in a minute to be twice dead and plucked up by the roots and that's a scripture we'll read that in a minute first john chapter two after he says quite a few matter of fact
let's just read a few scriptures leading up to this first john chapter two verse one he says my little children these things write unto you that you sin not and if any man's sin we have an ad advocate with the father jesus christ the righteous and he is the propitiation or the sacrifice for our sins and not for ours only but also for the whole world and here is how we know that we know him if we keep his commandments he that saith i know him and keepeth not his commandments is a liar and the truth is not in him but whoso keeps his word in him verily is the love of god perfected and this is how we know we are in him so this is the context by which he's talking about what obeying god keeping his commandments this is how you know we are in him all right everybody see that in your bibles now go down a little bit further in chapter 2 and go to verse 15. now this is something that the modern american church just does not want to deal with okay now again john here speaking to christians and i'll prove it in just a second he's speaking to christians but he says to christians love not the world neither the things that are in the world if any man love the world the love of the father is not in him for all that is in the world is the lust of the flesh and the lust of the excuse me lust of the eyes and the pride of life it is not of the father but is of the world and the world will pass away and the lust thereof but he that doeth the will of god abideth forever or will live forever well you ought to underline all that in your bible love not the world now now when he's saying this what is he talking about he's not talking about don't love the sinner don't love the lost person don't love your neighbor he's not talking about that god wants us to love the sinner he wants us to love the lost or the backslidden one he wants us to love our brothers and our neighbors and try to to help them and minister to them and and you know it's not talking about that he's talking about loving the world system and then he goes on to define it do not love what the lust he says don't love the world then he tells you what what what am i talking about the lust of the flesh you know what that word means they're lust it means a longing or desire for that which is forbidden the lust of the flesh we'll look at that in a second what the details are on that but he says don't love the things that are in the world here's what's in the world this world system the lust of the flesh and guess what you don't have to commit adultery to be an adultery because it says the next thing the lust of the eyes boy do we ever have a problem with that right now some of you may have have seen my internet post earlier in the week but i was riding home from work the other day and had the radio on
christian radio station and said that 67 percent of christian men admit to viewing pornography once a month that 30 of christian women admit to being addicted to pornography and that 50 percent of pastors admit to viewing pornography once a week folks the lust of the eyes is just as bad to god as doing it it's a hideous sin and it's a bondage that i understand that men and women get into fall into and struggle with but sooner or later if you're going to be a christian and you're going to follow god and you're going to go to heaven you're going to have to crucify this flesh and die to it and quit loving it it's just the way it is now i'm preaching this because this is what the bible says now now now listen everybody struggles with sin i'm not saying you're not going to struggle and we're going to talk about the difference between being tempted and struggling versus crucifying this thing okay but don't love the world neither the things that are in the world what does it say there if any man what's that mean brother saved or unsaved see even if they want to say he's talking to unsaved people i'm sorry he just said if any man love the world the love of the father's not in him let me tell you why else it's christians he's talking to the word love here is agape which is the love of god that's only shed abroad in the heart of a born-again believer the world does not have the love of god in them they might have phileo which is a fondness of for friends they might have eros which is where we get the word erotic from lust love that that's what mainly what they call love but it says here that people christians who've had the love of god put in their hearts are now using this love to love the world god help us wouldn't be the first time we took something that god gave us for his service and used it for the devil remember belshazzar remember took the instruments from the temple and was having a party and worshiping the gods of gold and silver and yeah right love not the world even the things that if any man love the world the love of the father is not in him oh wait a minute i thought god loved everybody yeah he does let me just say this to you god loves everybody right now that went to hell that's already dead and in hell he loved them too jesus loved them he died on the cross for them but just because god loves you
doesn't mean it'll stop you from going to hell you have to love him amen i say this all the time when i'm out witnessing or on the campus or whatever the question is not whether god loves you or loves us the question is do you love him that's why jesus said if you love me obey me right that's the you know what and here's here's an example that i could tell my wife all day long that i love her and i could go to work and provide for our family and that kind of demonstrates me that i love and and care about my family but if i'm cheating on my wife it's just words what's she gonna feel like does she gonna feel like i love her no and guess what the good stuff i'm doing is nullified by the bad stuff i'm doing that's why god says that the sinner or the christian who backslides or the righteous man who turns that his righteousness won't even be remembered you can't say well i go to church but i'm going to keep my pornography or i love my wife and i'm going to go to work and provide for the for the family but i'm going to have a girlfriend on the side love is proved by what you do not by what you say when you think jesus said this people draw near to me with their lips but their heart is far from me they worship me in vain that ought to scare us to death you can worship jesus and jesus say it's all worthless because you won't obey me you won't turn you won't change see my love for my wife is not proven by what i say it's proven by what i do god if we could just get the church world to understand that let's go to the next one here i talked about that right there i want you to see that being born again is when we come alive now why am i saying all this let's go to romans feeling good you feeling good brother this is christianity right here 101. let's go to romans chapter 6. matter of fact i'm gonna make me a t-shirt out of that first slide it's gonna have that skull on it big skull it's gonna say dead across the top of it it's gonna say roman six on the bottom romans 6 we may turn back to colossians in a
second but i want you to see remember our subject this morning dead know some people might say that leonard ravenhill's statement there's you're either dead to sin or you're dead in sin is a radical statement but it's exactly what romans chapter 6 teaches and any man of god that says something like that a true man of god trust me he says something radical like that he took it straight from the word he just reworded it to get it down in our hearts let's start reading at romans 6 and see what the christians supposed to do and i love this because he says we were dead all right and he says verse one what shall we say then shall we continue in sin that grace may abound god forbid how shall then we that are dead to sin live any longer therein let me just stop right there before i go any further how i mean paul is like how what kind of christianity do you guys have there in rome what what kind do you have in corinth what do you not understand if you are dead to sin how can you live any longer therein have you been crucified with christ have you been buried with him in baptism do you hate iniquity and evil do you love him if you have been crucified with christ you will hate sin and it will not rule your life and you will do whatever is necessary to overcome it and live the way god wants you to live and be close to him he said we are dead this is the good side dead let me let me tell you something the most lustful seductive harlot can't even get a dead man to turn his head you understand dead i could tell a story about jesse duplantis but i'm not gonna do it well maybe i will he said he was on a plane and here you go he's a married man evangelist everybody knows who he is he said he flies everywhere and he said inevitably some woman will be sitting next to him see the ring on his finger and not care try to get him to have an affair when they land and he said they'll start talking to him and just plain language and i'm not going to say what they say and he just said i'm a dead man i'm a dead man you're talking to a dead man they look at him i don't want something i don't know what you're doing they're like well uh uh he goes i'm dead i'm dead to that jesus christ made me dead today amen
i mean i was i can't i won't say it we have children in the room anyway let's keep reading how shall we that are dead to sin live any longer therein know ye not that so many of us as were baptized into jesus christ were baptized into his death therefore we are buried with him by baptism into death that like as christ was raised up from the dead by the glory of the father even so we also should walk in newness of life listen i want to say something if you've not been baptized in water you need to be baptized but baptism is more this is talking about the spiritual thing that happens when you truly surrender to the lordship of christ when you've truly been broken over your sin when you truly repent when you truly deep down hate the sin in the world and the things you used to do and the things that the devil still tries to get you to do when you know you hate that when you've been truly been baptized into jesus that's why so many people i believe have never really been saved have you really met the lord jesus christ have you really been born again have you really been baptized into his death if so you do not want to continue in sin if you understand it i think so many have been confused by preachers i'm sorry i'm fired up this morning look at what he says verse five four if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death we shall also be in the likeness of his resurrection how many of you want to be resurrected from the dead how many of you when it's all said and done and jesus tarries or we are martyrs for him or or bad things happen in this world or or or or we die of old age one day i want to be resurrected in the likeness of jesus christ i want to be with him i want to be like him i want to be with him forever he says here plainly only if what we are buried in the likeness of his death will you are y'all letting us sink in for if we have been planted together in the likeness of his death how was jesus how did jesus die he was crucified just remember that we shall also be in the likeness of his resurrection knowing this that our old man is crucified with him notice he didn't say our old man was crucified it says our old man is crucified present tense has got to be
happening now our old man is crucified with him that the body of sin might be destroyed that henceforth we should not serve sin meaning if you are experiencing this you should no longer in the word serve here means to be a bond slave it means to be a slave [Applause] to be in bondage to something oh hallelujah can i keep preaching for he that is look at verse seven come on now stay with me i know this is tedious this morning but paul wrote this so it's not my book right you ought to underline verse seven for he that is dead is freed from sin oh god dead dead dead dead are you dead in christ i mean dead to sin dead to the flesh dead to the world dead to yourself will if not you got some crucifying to do you got some repenting and some crucifying to do and let me say this crucifying means killing it nailing it on a cross his cross no your cross that you're supposed to pick up and carry paul said i die daily what was he saying my flesh wants to do this but god wants me to do this so i crucify the flesh and do what god wants me to do every day brother the war goes on every day some days may be a little easier in other days but some days are evil days some days all hell comes at you the evil day and demons and your flesh rises up and everything's going but still that day even in that day you're supposed to die die choose see and here it is choose to die if a man will what save his life he'll lose it try if you try to live according to the course of this world you're gonna lose it but if you were what lose your life for some i heard somebody preach this one i think it was jesus amen we'll turn to what he said in a minute god let me just i hadn't felt the anointing like this in a long time to preach something look at verse 8 now if we be dead with christ we believe oh that we shall also live with him knowing that christ being raised from the dead diet no more death has no more
dominion over him for in that he died he died unto sin once but in that he liveth he liveth unto god look at verse 11 likewise reckon ye also yourselves dead indeed to sin but alive unto god through jesus christ our lord do not let sin reign in your mortal body that you should obey it in the lust era who who don't let it you you you don't let it rain don't let sin rule don't let lust rule don't let disobedience rule i say this and i'm gonna say this for you guys you i've said it before but some of you are new but i'm gonna say it also for the for the cd and the podcast listen i'm not saying a christian will never sin i know christians sin i know christians struggle but that thing about you got a sin every day is a lie from the pit of hell nowhere does the bible say you will sin every day okay here's the thing though i say this in the life of the true christian the christian who's on fire the christian who's growing the christian who's going after god the christian who loves god sin will be the exception not the rule if you fall into a sexual lust you won't keep doing it you will get up and get out of that thing until you defeat it amen and that's the mercy of god that he'll forgive us when we fall but there's a difference between falling in a hole and wallowing in the hole right god help us get out of the hole amen see this is why jesus said you know what you know what the hole is the hole is the ditch when jesus talked about he said if the blind lead the blind they both fall in the ditch it's that ditch of sin that they wallow in and make excuses and make doctrine so that they can justify staying in it get out of the ditch man i love it listen leonard ravenhill said this and it just stuck with me i saw a little interview with him what a man of god but he said this what did jesus say to the woman who was caught in adultery go sin less no he said go and sin no more and that was before the cross what did he what did he say what did paul say in ephesians 4 let him that stole steal less steal no more what did he say to ephesians 5 don't let these things once be named among you fornication and
uncleanness and all this stuff not once oh man not one time now look at this dead to see let's i'm gonna read one more a couple couple more verses look what he said verse 12 through 14 we're going to stop there well maybe not verse 12 again let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body that you should obey it in the lust thereof neither yield your members your physical body as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin but yield yourselves unto god as those that are alive from the dead and your members as instruments of righteousness unto god for sin shall not have dominion over you for you are not under the law but under grace well all he's saying there you know what people people misuse this right here well we're not under the law we're in the grace so i can do what i want no it's not what he said what is he talking about under the law they didn't have a new nature their spirit man was not made alive they were not born again they were not filled with the holy ghost regeneration had not yet come that's what he's saying sin shall not have dominion over you because now under grace if you've been born again by repentance and faith in the lord jesus christ and you love him and you go after him then sin will not have dominion over you all right let's look at let's go to galatians real quick galatians chapter five say that'll preach pastor dean everybody with me in galatians 5. i preached these verses before but i'm going to read them because again we have some new people galatians 5. i need to get there because we're going to look at something in galatians 5 and 6 galatians 5. just in case there's any confusion on what the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the pride of life is paul gave us a detailed description here right thank god the brother got put in prison and the holy ghost came on him and he wrote down what god wanted him to write down right here's what he says verse 16 we're going to read a few verses here this i say then walk in the spirit
and you shall not fulfill the lust of the flesh for the flesh lusteth against the spirit and the spirit against the flesh and these are contrary wonders so that you cannot do the things you would but if you are led of the spirit you are not under the law now the works of the flesh are manifest or revealed which are these adultery fornication which is pre-marital sex and all sexual immorality uncleanness lasciviousness which is a licentious wild lifestyle that has no rules idolatry witchcraft hatred variants emulations or jealousies wrath strife sedition heresies false teaching endings murders drunkenness revelings and the such like of which i have told you before as i have also told you in times past which they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of god the greek word do their espresso it means to practice those who practice repeatedly these things will not inherit the kingdom of god so he makes it very clear idolatry fornication adultery just goes on that witchcraft hatred not forgiving someone that hurts you i mean we could just go down through the list here but he says you will not inherit the kingdom of god and he talks about the fruit of the spirit but i want you to look at verse 24. he says and they that are christ have crucified the flesh with the affections and lust they that are christ have crucified the flesh you see that right there say this with me i must crucify the flesh if i belong to jesus all right let's look at one more verse here go over to chapter six real quick i just want you to underline this one make a note of the chapter six verse fourteen paul said here he wrote here but god forbid that i should glory save or accept in our the cross of our lord jesus christ by whom the world is crucified unto me and i into the world now let's go to colossians y'all stay with me i'm determined to give you scripture this morning here with me to colossians chapter three okay colossians 3. let's just read verse verse 1 here okay this is
if you wanted to take my sermon in a nutshell this morning these next few verses just sum it up okay if you then be risen with christ if you're alive in him if you've been resurrected from being dead in trespasses and sins through being born again if you then be risen with christ seek those things which are above where christ sitteth on the right hand of god set your affection on things above and not things on the earth for you are dead and your life is hid with christ in god did he say you are dead dead you are dead and your life is hid if you are with christ if you've been risen born again changed on the inside if you have encountered the living christ then what seek the things that are above heavenly things seek heaven set your affection on things above not on things of the earth for you are dead and your life is hid with christ in god and when christ who is our life shall appear then shall ye also appear with him in glory and then he tells us mortify or kill or crucify therefore your members which are upon the earth fornication uncleanness inordinate affection evil concupiscence other evil lust and covetousness which is idolatry for which things say the wrath of god comes on the children of disobedience somebody'll say that's good preaching mortify the deeds of the body is that in your bible that you may live you got to put fornication to death amen you got to put pornography to death you got to put adultery to death kill it kill it hack that thing to pieces in your life you understand i didn't again i didn't write these things idolatry anything more important to you than jesus you see that let's talk about self for a minute go to matthew chapter 16. see this is the one that's going to hurt you most of you know about this stuff that i'm talking about today matthew 16 24 and those few verses there pardon me if you think i'm quoting raven hill too much but
i need to quote this from him ravenhill was sharing about how he grew up he grew up in a godly household he said nobody came to jesus with a cleaner outside life than me he said my family went to church every sunday he said i was brought up methodist and my father took me to pentecostal tent meetings and i saw miracles on a regular basis and he said my daddy would pray and i didn't want to pray and my daddy would read the bible and i didn't want to read the bible my dad would go out on the street and witness and i didn't want to witness he said it wasn't the things that i had done that terrified me it was the things that i had not done i had not loved god with all my heart soul mind and strength i had not loved my neighbors myself i had not cared whether they died and went to hell or not what was he saying folks it's not always what you do it's what you don't do amen dying to self let's look at this verse right here this is the words of jesus himself verse 24 then said jesus unto his disciples if any man will come after me let him deny himself and take up his cross and follow me for whosoever will save his life shall lose it and whosoever lose his life for my sake shall find it deny himself take up his cross and follow me let me explain this a little bit here this is where most people miss it see when i came to jesus at night came back to the lord rather in 1987 and repented of the fornication and the drunkenness and the drugs and all the things that i was into when i came back that was only step one after step one then you know i had my own plans for my life at that time i was at troy state university which is now troy university at that time i was looking at possibly playing football for them at that time i wanted to be a doctor and was in pre-med i loved medical things i wanted to be a doctor i loved it i ate it up i had my own plans for my life i had a modeling contract i had i had had screen tests i had offers to be in movies but when i came to jesus he said son i got something else i want you to do and before i even knew i was called to preach or anything god just first thing he told me was you're not going back to troy state i said okay lord surrender to the you're not going to be a doctor surrender you're not going to be an actor you're not going to do those things
i have a plan for your first step you're not going back to troy stay here obey second thing don't even call the modeling con company or my modeling agents and don't even call them back yes sir you see i could have come to jesus and repented of all the evil stuff and never denied myself and taken up the cross and followed him and that is just as evil just as evil see people have their own plans for their lives you know i want this uh this is this is the reason and for those of you that are single in here listen up to me real close this is the reason people end up marrying the wrong person a lot of times because either god said wait or he said no but they want it so bad they want their own plan so bad and they end up with the wrong person and they end up in all kinds of hell for it but it's not just that you know there's people that won't leave a denomination maybe god wants them to leave or or people that that won't get out of you know a town maybe god wants them to do you know there's nowhere in the bible that says dean go to auburn and start a church right but god revealed his will to me i know his will about that right so that's why it says remember all the way back to first john chapter 2 and it says he that doeth the will of god god will show you what to do with your life and if you'll stop and ask him he'll show you where to live where to go to church who to marry he'll show you the right things the best things but i want to show you this jesus said if any man will come after me let him deny himself take up his cross and follow me now turn to luke go to luke 13 13-14 ah we're not gonna read all of that i'm gonna let's just read this luke 14. then i'm gonna quit preaching luke 14 verse 25 and now the reason i want you to see verse 25 is i want you to see the context look what he says
and there went great multitudes with him and he turned and said unto them great multitudes right here's what jesus preached i it wasn't an ounce of him it was seeker sensitive right here's what he said if any man come to me and hate not his father and mother and wife and children and brethren and sisters in yea his own life he cannot be my disciple and whosoever does not bear his cross and come after me cannot be my disciple is that in your bible look at verse 33 so likewise whosoever he be of you that forsaketh not all that he has he cannot be my disciple this is crucifying self self will self plan self desires some of you and listen to me god promised abraham a son and gave him isaac then god said supernaturally miraculously gave him isaac and then god said go take him your son your only son upon the mountain i will show you and offer him as a burnt offering to me and abraham went and obeyed to the point of laying his son on the altar and raising the knife and god says stop let me tell you some of you will never grow or get free until some things get on the altar some of your own plans your own desires your own ways you hear me not necessarily for bad things just not things that god wants for you right now or even maybe at all this is where people will not crucify their selfish their self desires their soulish emotional desires and god said if you don't you can't even be my disciple a true disciple doesn't get to go where they want do what they want be with who they want now granted when god brought my my wife to me i wouldn't want my wife i'd laid it down i was like god i'll be single until jesus comes i'm fine with it but god brought her to me and had to make it clear to me that she was the one and make it clear to her we had to know we were just getting married because we want to get married you understand so i say all that to just let it get in you god wants us dead dead to sin dead to the world dead to
self and alive to him i think that's why one one day in eternity we're going to be shocked to find out who's there and who's not there there's gonna be a lot of people we thought were real spiritual folks church folks and they're going to hear the words depart from me cursing everlasting fire they're not going to be there why because god's going to look at him and say you knew what you ought to do but you took and buried it in the earth and did what you wanted to do you loved your plans for your job your plans for your family your plans for your own way you never listened to me ever now let me say this some of us are are older and we've made some mistakes thank god we can ask god's forgiveness for every time we did our own will and say god now i want to do your plan for me and guess what he'll forgive you and pick right back up and have a plan for you that's still the best plan that you could ever have and this is why i tell you get close to god because he will speak to you it's a beautiful thing i i feel sorry for christians who who have pastors and theologies or beliefs they don't believe that god talks to people anymore no my sheep he said hear my voice and they follow me the only way you gonna hear his voice though is to die sometimes you got to turn off the noise of the world and get along with him you got to get along with him you got to spend time with him you got to want him more than anything else that's the people he talks to amen that's the people he reveals secrets to and let me tell you when god starts revealing secrets to you it's pretty awesome thing when he starts telling you the secrets of people's hearts and you start being able to minister to them and see them go when you can see other people brother ain't nothing better than seeing other people because you've gone from darkness to light and you've passed from death to life to be able to take somebody by the hand and help them go from from death to life that's the good stuff man i've had my ups and downs i've had my struggles but i tell you what there's nothing that i like more than seeing somebody go from death to life somebody go all the way for jesus amen let's pray thank you jesus thank you father heavenly father we come to you today and god we all need to repent god of our own
