Alright everybody we're ready to get started on part two here. Can a Christian have a demon? Christian have demons in them This has been the hottest one of the hottest theological debates for 30 40 years I've debated argued fussed with pastors and Christians But this right here comes from many years of study and all this And again, we've been told lies. We've been told lies about a lot of things, but we've been told well, you know If I'm a Christian, you know What Concord has Christ would rely on light with darkness can't mix and I'm like, okay let's we're gonna have to straighten all of this out because Christians do have demonic strongholds in them. I found it out very early on One of my first converts came out of high-level Satanism in witchcraft. One of the first people I led to the Lord and a group of us started discipling this young lady and She was doing good. She was she was telling us everything that went on in Satanism the occult world at the time I found out things back then before the Internet existed For us anyway But I found out things back then that have turned out to be very true Everything from the truth about the Nephilim the Giants Being in the last days all kinds of stuff. She revealed but she was walking with the Lord when one day out of this young lady came this very loud male voice and She was born again So my theology God started out early By just letting me see it happen. All right, and then I had to go and figure out. Okay Where is this in the word? Because when you got a 16 year old girl going? My name is Lee John And it's so loud that it hurts your ears and you're like Okay We've just stepped into a whole new realm here and of course it took about 15 minutes, but we finally Got those demons out of her and she told me she said it was strange when they took over She said I felt like that I was pushed down in a well and I could hear the demons talking to you through my body And I could hear you talking to them, but I couldn't say anything that I wanted to say She said but I heard the whole conversation going on And the whole fight so when we got rid of the Legion because she did she had a legion and She had been brought up in Satanism generational Satanism, so
it was that was my beginning and It was because God wanted me to teach this and try to help people get free When we come to talking about Christians can Christians have demons in them when the first scriptures that should come to your mind Is this one in Ephesians 4 27 neither give place to the devil now? This was written to Christians if you go to Ephesians 1 1 when he wrote Ephesians and Paul wrote Ephesians the Holy Spirit led him to do this He said to the saints and to the faithful in Christ Jesus So he's not speaking the book of Ephesians is not written to the unsaved not any part of it it is written to the born-again Christians the church of Ephesus and they were plainly told Neither or don't give place to the devil now if a Christian couldn't give place to the devil Why would you be told to not give place to the devil all right the word? Place there is the word we get us topos where we get the word topography from meaning any place on your map folks Don't give them place if you give the devil place meaning you open a door you give him legal right he will seize that That land Which is you he'll seize that part, and he'll stay there, and he he's a squatter Everybody know what a squatter is He'll squat and not want to leave of course we know That we need to be careful Christians were told this that we would be sober vigilant because the devil seeking to devour us So again warnings to Christians so that the just the concept that a Christian couldn't be attacked or a door couldn't be open or Place-given it's just not biblical. I know it sounds like you're you know preaching the victory, but no You give them the place they will take it every time all right, so let's look at this verse Ecclesiastes 10 8 Says whose soul ever Breaks the hedge a serpent will bite, but let's read the whole thing he that dig at the pit shall fall into it So that means if you dig your own pit guess what? you're gonna fall into it and who so breaketh a hedge a Serpent shall bite him now. I do believe God puts a hedge of protection around his people Right, but then he says who so who's who so? You me you We're all who so The whosoever breaks the hedge a serpent will bite him now a serpent bites you guess what I've been bitten by water moccasins So I know how this goes Things go in you and there's poison Then I'm injected in you and left in you to do you harm When God uses these terms like if you break the hedge a serpent will bite you he's letting you know a demon a devil is
Going to put something in you That's to do you harm. That's the whole picture. That's the whole word picture you get But who so means just the unsaved No No, saved or unsaved you open doorways you get demons Ignorance is not bliss when it comes to the kingdom of God and spiritual warfare Second Corinthians 2 11 lest Satan should get advantage of us for we are not ignorant to his devices Well, what's the flip side of that coin if you're ignorant to his devices? He will get an advantage over you he will find a way to get in through your ignorance You will do something that will let him in that's why God said my people are destroyed for a lack of knowledge in Hosea 4 6 Think about that. My people my people my people Are destroyed for a lack of knowledge and then he says what happens God brings some knowledge and then they reject it Because you've rejected knowledge. I will also reject you You want to know why a lot of people are in in trouble Christians are in trouble Because first of all, they either ignorant and then God tries to bring them knowledge and then they reject that Don't reject knowledge of God's Word and truth Matthew 12 43 to 45. I mentioned this a minute ago, but we're gonna read it Jesus said here when the unclean spirit has gone out of a man He walked it through dry places seek and rest and find it done then he saith I'll return into my house from whence I came out and when he has come he findeth it empty Swept and garnish then goeth he and taketh with himself seven other spirits more wicked than himself And they enter in and dwell there and the last state of that man is worse than the first even so shall it be? Also into this wicked generation So Jesus is talking about when he says when the unclean spirit is gone out of a man Well, what does that mean? Do they just leave once they get in? No, let me tell you why they want a body because they used to have a body and they they cannot find any rest or satisfaction Unless they're in a body. This is why demons want to get in you They don't want to just hang out with you They want to get in you because they want to use your body to feel and do the things they used to do when they were wicked when they were wicked entities walking around the earth But he says here when the unclean spirits gone out of a man, so somebody cast the demons out of somebody But he said that house was empty Swept and garnish. So if the house is empty meaning no Jesus no Holy Spirit The house is empty the demons can come right back in. This is why I tell you and I've been teaching this for over 30 years You don't cast demons out of unsaved people Unless you know you can lead them to Jesus. Now. There's a few exceptions. I have ministered to people who were so demon possessed that they were about to be put in a mental institution and
I have cast demons out of them just so I could talk to them sense to them and hopefully lead them to Jesus and I've Seen success with this. I mean we had a guy completely flipping out demon possessed He was in another location from me another house in the same city people were with him And he was telling them tell Dean to stop praying for me and I was praying for him was I was trying to come over to To minister to him and he was about to be taken down to a mental hospital And I just said, you know, we got to do what we can So it started casting some demons out of you know what he got better He got out of there pretty quick and he got better. He got his life together. He got a job. He had a family. I mean This guy was headed down a bad road, but very rare situation Okay, I wouldn't advise it because if you do it and they they're empty. They don't have Jesus They're not born again. They don't have the Holy Spirit dwelling in them. You're gonna make them worse All right, which again confirms That deliverance is primarily for us The children's the children's bread as we're gonna see right? Let's keep going here. Oh, there's your little devil in the dry places Right you still buying the demons in an unsaved person Right like we did with my mom that night you bind the demons in them and command them to stop their works So they can hear what you're saying Definitely all the time. All right. There's your devil's First Corinthians 10 9 through 20 again written to Christians He says what say I then this Apostle Paul by the Holy Spirit saying that the idol is anything or that which is offered to sacrifice The idols is anything but I say that the things which the Gentiles sacrifice They sacrifice to Devils or demons or unclean spirits and not to God I would not that you should have fellowship with devils He was warning them Christians if you Participate in anything pagan or idolatrous You are going to be fellowshipping with demons This word fellowship is the same Greek word used about having fellowship with the Holy Spirit of God And where do you have fellowship with the Holy Spirit of God in you? So he's saying if you open the door Christians through paganism Witchcraft sin you open the door. He's saying don't do it because I don't want you to have fellowship with Devils and that spiritual fellowship and there it is partakers with demon coinos share associate Same word as having being a partaker having communion having fellowship with the Holy Spirit. There it is right there I like to prove what I believe here. All right, so let's go to this. We're gonna move through this
Says now when he was this is Matthew 8 16 again It says when they were when even was come they brought into him many that were possessed with the Devils And he cast out the spirits with his word. We mentioned this a minute ago now the word possessed here It is remember. I talked about it a minute ago. It's not the same word Is what we think possessed means in English? It just simply means to be possessed with Devils It means to be vexed with a demon possessed with a devil All right, so notice he even here it puts it can be a devil or devils you can be You can be not so bad or you can be really bad. It's it's degrees And so down here the strong's definition says to be exercised by a demon to have be vexed with be possessed with To be under the power of a demon. We're gonna jump through some of this So there's three degrees of demon possession in the New Testament. I'll show you what it is Luke 13 11 through 17 the daughter of Abraham notice. He said daughter of Abraham that means a blood covenant child of God Before Jesus went to the cross you were a true Israelite you were under the blood covenant So he says the daughter of Abraham had one demon everybody say one demon Yet it was destroying her health one demon and Jesus cast that demon out of her and she was healed then we see in Luke 8 1 through 3 Mary Magdalene had seven demons Alright, so Mary Magdalene was a little worse than the lady in Luke chapter 13 and then we have mark 5 The Gatorine demoniac right the guy who had the legion of demons anywhere from two to six thousand And he was the one cutting himself with stones and crying out and running around naked and they tried to chain him up He was breaking chains These kind of people end up in mental institutions in the present time Except I've been to Africa and in Africa they chain them to trees Trying to keep them protect the rest of society I went to a church to preach there in Nigeria and I walked behind the church and they had places where these people were chained to trees and they had little cots out there and they were because the church was fasting and praying for them to set them free They didn't have mental institutions to ship them all to you. All right, so I've seen this with my own eyes Here's your house. So there's your there's your house. You have multiple rooms spirit soul and body of different rooms in that There's the woman. She just had one demon in there crippling her then your house could have seven demons in it like Mary Magdalene, right or You could be like this It could be any of those So there's some things you don't understand Three things that we understand first the things that happened unto them in the Old Testament are examples unto us in the New Testament
Many things that actually happened in the Old Testament are types and shadows and allegories of New Testament truth Like the first Passover the Lord Jesus was ministering under the Old Testament as he was establishing the new this is very important for you understand Jesus was operating under the Old Covenant as he was getting ready The New Testament was not established until he died on the cross and rose from the dead. That's when the temple veil was rent So you you understand these three things now we look at these types and shadows real quick He says more of a brethren 1st Corinthians 10 1 through 6 more of a brother And I would not that you should be ignorant How that all of our fathers were under the cloud and all passed through the sea And we're all baptized unto Moses in the cloud and in the sea and did all eat the same spiritual meat and Did all drink the same spiritual drink for they drank of that spiritual rock that followed them and that rock was Christ But with many of them God was not well-pleased for they were overthrown in the wilderness now these things were our Examples everybody say that now these things were our examples examples type shadows to the intent that we as believers followers of God children of God Should not lust after these evil things as they also lusted so they're examples. They're a warning right so here We go it says neither be idolaters as were some of them as it is written the people sat down to eat and drink and rose Up to play neither let us commit fornication as some of them committed and fell in one day three and twenty thousand Neither let us tempt Christ as some also tempted and were destroyed of serpents Wait a minute now He says this is an example to us If we tempt Jesus we do things he said not to do Thank you. We're gonna get away with it. No, we're gonna get destroyed by serpents. What are these serpents demons? Saying you will be destroyed by demons if you keep giving them place in your life through sin disobedience ignorance He said these are written for our admonition So he repeats it again all these things were happened unto them for examples And they were written for our admonition upon whom the ends of the world are come Wherefore let him that think if he stand it take heed lest he fall Well if you're the only the Christian fall The wicked are already controlled by the devil. They're already property of the devil So he says here take heed you take heed you do the same stuff. They did Serpents are coming. All right. Now. Let's keep reading. There's the definition of example Should be enough for you. Here's the example when we go through Egypt Remember when the when the Israelites came out of Egypt They had to put the blood of the Lamb on the door post and God brought them out and the death angel passed over them What is that a type or shadow of an example in the New Testament? We all know this Salvation So when we come out of the world system to come out of our sins we come out of our slavery to that world to that system
through the blood of Jesus through faith in the blood of Jesus and That is our Passover. Jesus is our Passover now Then the Bible talks about that. There were two baptisms in the wilderness The two baptisms the water and the cloud of God more of a brother And I would not that you should be ignorant how that all of our fathers were under the cloud and all passed through The sea and were all baptized unto Moses in the cloud of the presence of God the Holy Spirit and in the sea So he's saying that when they went through the Red Sea that was a type and shadow an example of water baptism He says as they went through the went through the cloud of God's presence That was a type and shadow of the baptism of the Holy Spirit that we see in Acts chapter 2 and Acts chapter 10 and 19 So we get these types and shadows, but that do they end at the Red Sea? new Because we have the Promised Land shadow here now remember I remember growing up. I remember going to Pentecostal Assembly of God Church with my great-aunt and my great-grandmother I remember the songs that were saying and I remember everybody talking about we're going to the Promised Land and The Promised Land was heaven Wait a minute now. Is that the type and shadow we have in the Old Testament of what the Promised Land is? No The Promised Land was not a type of heaven folks And they told him said we came unto the land with thou sent us and surely it floweth with milk and honey And this is the fruit of it nevertheless the people be strong that dwell in the land and the cities are walled and very great And over we saw the children of a neck there the Giants the Nephilim The very ones where these evil spirits came from he said they're in the land you promised us this land God and Surely it's a good land. It's blessed. It's flowing with milk and honey the fruit is amazing but The children of a neck are there the Giants are there the evil ones are there. They're in our land. God What do we do? And says because of that they got fearful they brought an evil report of the land They had searched out and says and they went on to say and all the people that we saw in it are men of great stature And we saw the Giants and the sons of a neck which come of the Giants and we in our own sight as Grasshoppers, so we were in their sight so this is some of the early Canaanite some of them were at 36 feet y'all these Skeletons have been found of course the Smithsonian now hides them underground so nobody can see them But these are what's talked about in the Bible Average height of a man six feet we had 12 foot og was between 12 and 18 feet King Og of Bishan and so on but these are what was in the land now Heaven is not a type and shadow. What did they have to do their job was to drive out? the inhabitants of the land Can I say right now that you taking your promised land the type and shadow of the New Testament is to drive out?
The evil ones out of your land Its deliverance you hear me. It's not about going to heaven as far as I know There's no Giants and evil ones in heaven, right? So it couldn't be that the promised land could not be a type and shadow It was actually a type and shadow of our spiritual warfare There were strongholds there like Jericho that had to be torn down There were evil ones there that had to be destroyed and the reason God wanted to kill all those groups is because they were not All human they were hot they were half human and half fallen angel, and they were determined evil That's why God wiped out That's why he would say things like that we're gonna wipe out all the men women and children he's talking about these evil ones not real humans Pure humans. All right Here he said right here and it came to pass when Israel was strong that they put the Canaanites to tribute and did not utterly drive Them out. This was in direct disobedience And so he says there and the angel of the Lord came upon Gilgal to bokem And said I made you to go up out of Egypt Salvation I brought you into the land which I swear to your fathers I brought you to where you needed to drive these people out cast them out He said and I will never break my covenant with you and you shall make no league with the inhabitants of the land But you shall throw down their altars, but you have not obeyed my voice. Why have you done this? Wherefore I also said I will not drive them out from before you, but they shall be as thorns in your sides Their gods shall be a snare to you their gods are demon gods And he says because you didn't drive them out like I told you to do Now they're gonna be a problem for you and I'm telling you right now if you don't drive out every demonic stronghold in your life They're gonna be a problem for you big problem. Now. Here's the argument about light and darkness Everybody said Oh light and darkness can't dwell in the same place If you're Christian you are full of light. Let me tell you something. I've yet to meet a Christian It's absolutely full of light and no darkness at all and no issues. Have you I Hadn't met this holy glow in one yet. The only one perfect is Jesus Rest of us got some cleaning up to do Alright, so he says here this is second Corinthians 6 13 through 8 light and darkness Okay This is what they say now now for a recompense in the same I speak as unto my children Be also enlarged be not unequally yoked together with unbelievers for what fellowship hath the righteousness with unrighteous what communion hath light with darkness what Concord has Christ would allow or what part hath he that believeth with an infidel and What agreement hath the temple of God with idols for you are the temple of the living God as God had said I will dwell in them and walk in them and I will be their God and they shall be my people wherefore
Come out from among them and be separate sayeth the Lord and touch not The unclean thing and I will receive you and I will be a father unto you and you shall be my sons and daughters Sayeth the Lord Almighty now the fact that he had to say this to the Corinthians. We know from church history We know from reading first and second Corinthians that they were doing these things. They were already Participating in idolatry fornication. They were still a lot of problems in this church So he was telling them you have to come out from that you have to stop touching the unclean thing You can't use this as an argument that a Christian can't have a demon in it. It just doesn't exist That's not the context Nor does it say that they were obviously already doing these things which is why? He had to tell us and just so you know the argument that light and darkness can't dwell in the same place now God is is omnipresent. He's everywhere If light and darkness could not exist in the same place then Satan and his demons could not exist at all God is everywhere, right? Job We see that in Job It's not the case Satan came into heaven into the presence of God to petition for Job How can you say that Satan and demons couldn't be in the same place where God and his presence is? Where did you get that from? preachers Didn't know what they were talking about because they didn't think through this Satan goes to the very throne of God to petition for he did it with Job Peter and he does it for you and me And God allows it to happen like Psalm 37 139 here 7 through 12 David says where shall I go from your spirit? Where shall I flee from your presence if I ascend up in heaven you are there if I have make my bed in hell You were there. There's nowhere. I go from the presence of God God allows Satan and demons to exist and He lets them exist in places even where he is and where he is moving for his purposes And I believe he lets them he let the the The Canaanites the children of a neck. I believe he let them stay in that land. God could have just made them all drop dead Right, couldn't he have just cleared the land out for them years before he let them free from Egypt Say why did God let them stay in the land the Giants? Because he wanted his people to be warriors You hear me not whims warriors So he allows difficulty in our life. He allows enemies He allows these things to happen So we'll rise up and fight. He doesn't want us to be wimps y'all now Look at it. This is where job look at if there's any doubt now there was a day when the sons of God the angels came to present themselves before the Lord and Satan came also among them
Do you see that and the Lord and Satan had a little conversation about Job and it says so Satan went forth from where The presence of the Lord meaning he was in the presence of the Lord and then left So Satan was allowed to hang out for purposes. There you go Satan hanging out. All right, you had your conversation time to go Here's another one Samuel anointed King Saul. I'm gonna run through this real quick King Saul remember the Old Testament type and shadows for us in the new what we learned from King Saul King Saul was an Israelite. He was a child of God Called by God anointed by God Samuel anoints him It's interesting the language about King Saul It says the Spirit of the Lord Samuel said will come upon you and you shall prophesy with them And you shall be turned into another man. Think about that God gave him another heart and it says in the Spirit of God came on him and he prophesied among them Doesn't this sound familiar if any man be in Christ? He is a new creature old things pass away all things become new God gives us a new heart and The Spirit of God comes in us and then we begin to operate in the gifts of the Spirit So here's the type of shadow We have King Saul being anointed filled with the Holy Spirit given a new heart changed into another man the gifts of the Holy Spirit Operating in him and then he begins to disobey For rebellion is the sin of witchcraft stubbornness is as iniquity and idolatry Samuel told The prophet told Saul what to do Saul directly disobeyed it and the moment that that started happening What look what it says there? But the Spirit of the Lord departed from Saul and an evil spirit from the Lord troubled him And it says down here and it came to pass that the evil spirit from God came upon Saul And he prophesied in the midst of the house and David played with his hand at other times And there was a javelin in Saul's hand and Saul cast the javelin for he said I will smite David even to the wall Think about that. Here's a man God anoints fills with his spirit changes him gives him another heart makes him the leader of his people. He's prophesying operating in the gifts of the Holy Spirit and then he begins a life of disobedience and Then an evil spirit come and now he's trying to kill The ones who are anointed you think Christian can't go the same route. No, they can't You can fall away from God and Saul ends up in witchcraft and dead. Now. This is the one I really want to get to here I want you to turn if you got your Bibles Matthew 15 want you to read it for yourself Matthew 15 21 3 24 remember what I said about Jesus a minute ago. It was very important. I understand he was operating
Under the Old Covenant until his death and resurrection So here's what it says Then Jesus went thence and departed into the coast of Tyre and Sidon and behold a woman of Canaan came out of the same Coast a woman of Canaan would been someone Not in Israelite Outside of the Covenant of God, they're not under the blood covenant So this woman represents an unsaved person to us someone outside of the Covenant Not born again not covered by the blood of Jesus So this woman have came and came out of the same coast and cried in him saying have mercy on me Oh Lord, thou son of David. My daughter is Is grievously vexed with the devil, but he answered her not a word Now was Jesus be if I did this People say he that guy's so rude Here she's begging. Oh my daughter needs help and Jesus didn't even say a word I think he didn't say a word because she knew better And his disciples came and sought him saying send her away for she cries after us But he answered and said I am NOT sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel But remember this Jesus made another statement. He said I am NOT sent to the righteous But to the sinner, well, it seems like we have a contradiction doesn't he? He said I came to call sinners to repentance Right, we know that Gentiles Got saved. We know that Jesus called out to them, right? What is this about this is about this deliverance issue. It's not about salvation issue He said I'm not sent to cast demons out of people except for the house of Israel the ones under the blood covenant This is what he was pointing out. How do we know this continues? so this woman Refuses to give up like most most Christians get offended leave church never come back, right? This woman wouldn't give up and she came and she worship and saying Lord help me But he answered and said so, you know, he didn't talk at first now. He insults her He said it is not meat or it's not right to take the children's bread and to cast it to the dogs ouch The dogs were a reference to those who were Gentiles Outside of the Covenant unclean and he says Jesus said it's not right to take the children's bread. Well, what was she asking for? Deliverance for her daughter. He she wanted the demons cast out of her daughter. It was deliverance She's asking for and Jesus said it's not right to take the children's bread Say this with me deliverance is
the children's bread and It's not right To give it to those outside Because you make them worse It's not it's not a mean thing. It's not an evil thing. You don't want to make them worse You see this is why a lot of times people call me and they're like, oh, I'm just having all these troubles I Had one person come from a long way. Oh, they even moved here. I'm having all I need deliverance I need this I need that and I just the Lord just kept him. Nope No, don't do it. I didn't know why at the moment. Don't do it. I was even driving I mean he got desperate, you know, a lot of times us preachers that people get desperate. Oh, you got to come You got to come help me and just Okay, and so I was driving to church actually meet him to pray with him and I'm driving there and the Lord said no You don't don't you do it? Do not pray for him. You will make him worse and I thought okay, so this guy not say sure enough Coming to church for months could talk the Christian talk when we got down to the brass tacks and I start asking Hey, when were you born again? Well, uh, I don't know What do you mean? You don't know you cannot be born again and not know it and I said and he goes, you know I said have you ever had a moment where you truly repented and you truly Asked Jesus to be your Lord and Savior and you felt him come into your life and transform it. He said no And I said, well your problem is you never been born again I said, I'm so glad that I didn't meet with you and cast demons out of you Now he got a little offended at that, but I don't care. It's the truth. He admitted he wasn't born again I'm not we know this I said you're getting the cart before the horse. I Said you need to get saved first and you need to do whatever is necessary In your life to get saved and give your life to Jesus. Then we'll sit down after we know You're saying and this is what Jesus was doing He said it's not right to take the children's bread and cast it to dogs and she said truth. She'd say she knew truth Lord Yet the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from her master's table now I want to tell you right now what you're seeing here is a demonstration of someone Operating in great humility and faith This is why Jesus finally said and he adds old woman Great is your faith? Be it unto thee even as thou wilt and her daughter was made whole from that very hour. She was delivered from the demons it was her humility and her faith and she went from being an Unbeliever to a believer and so Jesus granted her her request
This is so vitally important Now this is another good illustration in the New Testament Lazarus, you know Lazarus died right dead for four days Then Jesus came and raised him from the dead and look what it says there in the end of this and John 11 Is that he that was dead came forth? Bound hand and foot with grave clothes and his face was bound about with a napkin and Jesus said unto them Loose him and let him go This is such a beautiful picture because the Bible talks about that when we are born again We come out of spiritual death into spiritual life. We are raised to life in Christ Jesus But yet many of us still walk around bound up a total prisoner of war Still captured by the things of death those unclean rags that were wrapped around Lazarus Represent the unclean spirits that still have us bound up even after we've been raised to life even after we've been saved It's all wrapped around us and notice Jesus did not go and set this person free from their Their grave clothes he told the people nearby Go loose him and let him go this is something I want to get across to all of you when it comes to demons and Devils Jesus does not do it for us You hear me? The Bible says this and we're talking about this is the two cleanings and I'm about I'm about to finish right here The two cleanses. All right If you notice the tabernacle here the ancient tabernacle of Moses You went into the court and there were two things you had to go through first before you went into the holy place One was the brazen altar where the sacrifice was the blood sacrifice and the burnt offering That's the blood of Jesus. That's the forgiveness of your sins The next one was the lather it was the water and you were to wash and and and be clean before you went in So there's two things that had to cleanse you here One was the blood sacrifice the second Was what you had to do yourself First when the priest did for you and you just went in and they did it for you and an animal died in your place You didn't do it. They've done for you sound familiar The second one you had to go wash yourself There's two cleanseings in the New Testament as well. Show them to you right here First John 1 7 through 9, but if we walk in the light as he is in the light We have fellowship one with another in the blood of Jesus Christ his son cleanses us from all sin We say we have no sin we deceive ourselves and the truth is not in us if we confess our sins He is faithful and just to forgive us of our sins and to cleanse us from all unrighteousness That is the blood cleansing of our sins by Jesus by what he did We don't do anything. We asked for this. We receive this
All right, but there's a second cleansing second Corinthians 7 1 he's talking to Christians And he says having therefore these promises dearly beloved people that's already been saved through the blood of Jesus He says having therefore these promises dearly beloved. Let us cleanse ourselves From all filthiness of the flesh and spirit Perfecting holiness in the fear of God Let us cleanse ourselves from what not just sin Jesus cleanses us from sin We cleanse ourselves from unclean spirits because he's given us the authority to bind the demons and to cast them out We do it. He doesn't do it for us. This is why people stay all bound up Let me show you we'll give you a little illustration before we quit here. It's real simple All right, I'm gonna take this little napkin here So let's say this my hand here is your heart. All right, and let's say you go commit the sin of adultery You open a door by that sin We're gonna talk about open doorways after lunch You open a door by committing adultery or fornication or homosexual whatever sexual sin occult sin But you open a door into your heart your spirit your life and the sin goes in Right and everybody knows that right you open the door the sin goes in. That's what you have to confess and get cleansed of But what everybody forgets is what goes right behind this sin of adultery or demon spirits of Hortons and lusts and Adultery and they go in and they dwell there because you gave place to the devil so they go in and they hang out there So this is how people walk around They got the sin of adultery. They got the demons of Hortons and lust and adultery So you get saved or maybe you're a Christian and you were finally repent of your adult You ask God to forgive you so you confess Lord, please forgive me I know you shed your blood for my sins and I just ask you to forgive me for my adultery. I repent I'm not doing any more. I'm gonna walk with you. The Bible says we confess our sins We repent he is faithful and just that cleanse us from the unrighteousness the sin sin goes away But this is how Christians continue to walk around doors open demons still here Alright Deliverance is simply this you say Lord. I know I committed the sin of adultery and I know you've forgiven me of that That's not the sin. I'm dealing with sin and demons are two different thing, but I need to deal with this because How many of you have been walking as a Christian yet? You just feel like you're always if you got in the wrong place at the wrong time you commit adultery like that Don't raise your hand because I already know the truth But the way you get rid of this is you say Lord. I know my sins forgiven, but in Jesus name say the person was
Jim Bob Well, I had I had an adulterous affair with Jim Bob and I've just bind the demons of Hortons and lust and adultery Perversion that came in through this sin. I bind them. I break their power I tear down their strongholds and I command these spirits of Hortons and lust and adultery to go from me in Jesus name You cast the demons out and you say Jesus. I ask you to close the doorway. I Because according to Revelation 3 7 you're the one that Shuts the door that no man can open and opens the doors that no man can shut this door seal up that broken place in the hedge again, and Then if there's been any damage done, then you say Lord I pray for healing I pray for healing and that's where he said he came to heal the broken hearted So sometimes we the things we do cause wounds in us and other people and we need to heal him. Yes, they can I've been I've seen it for 34 years Loaded with them does that mean you're totally possessed and need to be in a mental institution. No 99.9% of people aren't that far off the folks, you know, what's gonna happen in this world This world's getting more and more dark and demonic and crazy You need to be a free people. Isaiah 42 says all of you are snared in holes and in prison houses. All of us have Like I said, there's no holy shining one only Jesus We've all sinned we all sinned before we had things done to us So the doors have been open.
