Yes, Lord. We thank you, Lord Jesus. You are the King of Kings and the Lord of Lords. God almighty in the flesh. There is none like [music] you. Allah is not the God. Buddha is not God. You are the one true [music] God. We exalt you today. We worship you today. We know you are the the way, the truth, and the life. And no man is going to come [music] before God but by your name, by your blood, by your resurrection. [music] You are the only savior, the only Messiah, [music] the one who formed us in our mother's womb, and the [music] only one that can save us. And the day is coming you will return physically [music] return to this earth to rule and reign over all the kingdoms of the world. [music] We thank you, Lord. One day you're going to beat all the instruments of war [music] into farming tools. And there will be peace, [music] but only through you. Lord, we give you praise this morning. [music] It's in Jesus name we pray. Amen. Amen. Everybody say amen. All right, you can have a seat this morning. Hallelujah. Um We welcome everyone to Fire and Grace Church. I know some of you are here because of Kamari and Destiny. We welcome you as well. I know we have some visitors today, too. Uh we always have visitors from all over the place. We never know who's going to pop in. We have them pop in from Sweden and Australia and all kind of different places cuz people watch and listen all over the world. So, we're we're small here, but we are everywhere. Amen. Uh that's a it's an amazing thing that God is doing. Um I hope you have your Bibles today. And if you do, I want you to turn and uh I want you to go to John chapter 3.

  7. And we're going to start on something that should be familiar. But I'm just going to tell you right now that most of the church world, they don't even teach this, right? And it's something that we've got to have deep down in our spirit. If we're if we're truly already born again Christians, we got to have it down in us because this is what we have to share with the world. And if we don't share it correctly, then we're going to really not help anybody. Um, and what's sad is, you know, the Apostle Paul in the book of 2 Thessalonians, he foretold that in the last days, right as we got near the second coming of Jesus, that there would be a falling away, an apostasy. It means a departure from the truth. And the truth is found in scripture. Now, God moved on holy men across the ages, prophets and apostles to write down exactly what he wanted. and he preserved those and he confirmed that they were preserved through archaeological discoveries, manuscript evidence. We got we could go down the list. The Bible's the most uh accurate history book ever. Every time they say, "No, the Bible got it wrong here." We dig up something and find out the Bible had it right all along. Um 300 plus prophecies foretold the sec the the first coming of Jesus. Think about that. 300 plus probably around 330 prophecies foretold the coming of Jesus. Think about this that no prophecies foretold the coming of Muhammad. Not one. No prophecies foretold the coming of Buddha. Y'all understand Jesus is absolutely unique in history. And when you say prophecies, we're talking about things that are specific. Like it was foretold that King David spoke by the Holy Spirit. Psalm 22 that his hands and feet would be pierced, that they would cast lots for his garments, that he'd be surrounded by Gentiles, that he'd be mocked and beaten. Isaiah foretold 750 years before Jesus was born, he foretold that he would be beaten, his stripes on his back, that he'd be whipped for our healing, that he would be uh numbered with the transgressors, literally killed with sinners, and then buried in a rich man's tomb. We were told that he would be born in Bethlehem. Think about that. 750 years beforehand, we were told he would be born of a virgin, that it'd be a miracle. None of this, no other religion in the world can claim any of this. That's why the Bible is unique. That's why Jesus is unique. And that's why if you don't really come to know him, you are going to find yourself completely lost, deceived, and headed for an eternity that is separated from him. Now, let me explain

  8. something to you. I've entitled today, and you can put the slide up. I've entitled today born again and ready. You have to be both. You have to be born again. Jesus said, "If," and we're going to go to John 3 and look at that, but if you're not born again, you're not even at the starting point. You hadn't even set foot and and started the race yet because Jesus said, "You must be born again." And then after you're born again, you have to walk with him. You have to get to know him. You have to obey him. And this is what's not taught anymore because what the most churches teach now, just believe in Jesus. Just believe Jesus died for you on the cross and rose from the dead and you're good and that's all you got to do. And that is not what the Bible teaches. Never has and never will. Just believing something doesn't mean that you actually really believe it. I know that sounds weird, doesn't it? I'm gonna tell you why. You can say all day long, you can put on a parachute and get in the airplane and you can say all day long that you believe that the parachute is going to work when you jump out of the plane. But until you jump, you don't really believe, [snorts] you understand? And until you surrender your life to Jesus Christ and get to know him and choose to live the way he has commanded us to live, you hadn't jumped out the plane yet. You understand? You don't really believe because the Bible is clear in the book of James, faith without works is dead being alone. And the Bible says this in Titus chapter 1 and I think it's verse 16 where he says he he talked about people who would profess that they know God but in works meaning what they do they deny him. A lot of fakers. Oh I believe in Jesus. Hallelujah. On Sunday morning but you were at the club last night. You've been drinking. You've been fornicating. You've been in adultery. You've been in pornography. You've been doing drugs. So, see, you say you believe all day long, but until you put some action with that, it means nothing. See, that's Titus 1:16. They profess that they know God, but in works they deny him, being abominable and disobedient, and unto every good work reprobate. Now, I want you to go to John 3. We're going to read this real quick. Then we're going to go to Romans. Well, no, I take that back. We're going to go to Galatians 5, then to Romans 8. All right. So, I'm giving you a little heads up. But this is John 3:1. They said, "There was a man of the Pharisees named Nicodemus, a ruler of the Jews. The same came to Jesus by night, and said unto him, Rabbi, we know

  9. that thou art a teacher come from God, for no man can do these miracles that thou doest except God be with him." And Jesus answered and said unto him, "Verily, verily, or truly, truly, I say unto thee, except a man be born again, he cannot see the kingdom of God." And Nicodemus saith unto him, "How can a man be born when he is old? How can he enter a second time into his mother's womb and be born?" This is kind of the stupid questions we ask because we're always thinking of things in the natural realm, but there's a spiritual realm. And the spiritual realm is very real. And Jesus answered and said this, 'Ver, verily I say unto you, except a man be born of water and of the spirit, he cannot enter into the kingdom of God. That which is born of flesh is flesh, and that which is born is spirit is spirit. Marvel not that I say unto you, you must be born again. He said, the wind blows where it listeth, or where it wants to, and you hear the sound thereof, but you cannot tell whence it cometh, or whether it goeth. And what he's saying is you, the wind is real, but you can't see it. And then he says, "So is everyone that is born of the spirit." Now, let me explain what he's talking about here. When you are born again, and I'm going to I'm going to get into what this means, but it is a supernatural spiritual experience. And you will feel it like you feel the wind on your skin when it blows. You don't see it, but you feel it. You won't see the Holy Spirit when he comes upon you. When you truly believe Jesus Christ, God Almighty, who came in the flesh, died on the cross for your sins, that you're a sinner, and that you believe he rose from the dead on the third day, and that you must believe that and follow him to receive this born again experience. And once you do, once you believe it from the heart and confess Jesus with your mouth with the full intent upon repenting and following him, you will feel the Holy Spirit come in you and upon you. You will feel like something just washed you and cleaned you up. You'll feel like the best shower you ever had in your life. Amen. Now, some of you have had this experience. Some of you had it when you were young. I had it when I was like 11, 12 years old, back around 1979. Don't do any math. It was a powerful experience. I was sitting in this little north north side Baptist church right down the road here and the Holy Spirit came on me and first convicted me or convinced me that I was a sinner. Now, the Bible says all have sinned. So, we all in the same boat when it comes to that. All have sinned against God's moral holy standards. We've all sinned and come short of the glory of God. But most of us are not convinced of that because before we get saved or before the Holy Spirit convicts us, we're convinced we're pretty good.

  10. Well, I'm not as bad as that person over there. This is what we do. I'm not as bad as that one. I'm not as bad as that one. So, I'm pretty good, right? We think we're pretty good, don't we? No. The Bible says this about you. There is none good, know not one. All have sinned and come short of the glory of God. But see, what happens to us most of the time is that until we're convinced that we are hopelessly lost in our sins, we will never be convinced that we need to repent and receive the remedy. It's kind of like this. If the doctor tells you that you have stage four terminal cancer, but I got a cure for you. Well, let me just tell you right now, if you don't believe you have the cancer, you're not going to take the cure for the cancer. And we got too many people in this world who convinced that they are good in their own righteousness, in their own standard of morality. But God has a standard. See, human beings have their standard and God has his standard. See, this is where we are with homosexuality. The world's saying, "Oh, no, that's okay. It doesn't matter who you get into bed with or marry or any of this stuff." That's the world's standard. That's human standards. God has another standard. He says homosexuality is a sin, an abomination. But so is heterosexual sin. Si sexual immorality before marriage is called fornication. It's in the same list of sins with homosexuality. God's not picking on homosexuals. Heterosexuals can sin, too. You're supposed to be married one one man, one woman, committed to that relationship. No sexual sin outside a man and a woman in marriage, right? Anything else is sin and the Bible says a sin unto death that will separate you from God forever if you live habitually in that. So if you live habitually in premarital sex as a heterosexual, you're going to the same hell as the homosexual who lives in habitual homosexual sin. Oh, Pastor Dean, you should talk about hell. Yeah. Let me let me explain something to you. Death does not mean ever in the Bible or in the context of this life, death is not ceasing to exist ever. All death means is that you are separated from the one who is life. You are an eternal being. Once you were formed, once once your mom and dad came together and conception happened, there

  11. was a miracle. In fact, they found out, they filmed it. The moment the sperm permeates the egg and there's an explosion of light, it is a supernatural thing that happens, right? Supernatural beyond any anything you can imagine. But the same thing, let me just tell you this. The same thing has to happen spiritually. Why? Because here's the thing. We were born well, we were born, even though it was a miracle, we were born innocent. But because our parents have sinned and our parents before them and our parents before them, we were born into this. Right? Y'all staying with me? We were born into this. But then God gives us as a child, he gives us a period of time. It's called really the age of innocence or uh the not reaching yet. There's an age of accountability. But only the Lord knows. And we don't know the age. There's not a number. I think it has to do with what a child and as they begin to mature begins to understand. But there's a point where sin, as Paul said, sin revives and I die. Once we understand what is right and wrong fully and then we choose the wrong, then we become the sinners. Are y'all with me? And then we choose how deep we're going to go into that. I remember when I was a kid thinking I would never do drugs. I said I will never do drugs. Guess what I did later on? Drugs. Why? Because it was already in me. You understand? And I had no power within me to change anything, to stop anything. I was going to do what was in me to do. You understand? Now, when you come to Jesus, you have to realize, guess what? You have to admit I have sinned, right? I have sinned. And that's what happened to me in that little church down there. I'm sitting in the in the back pew passing notes with my friend, but I happen to stop for a minute and start listening. And the Holy Spirit came on me and convicted me or convinced me that I was a sinner and that that sin produced death in me, which again is not ceasing to exist. It separated me from God.

  12. And once I understood that and I was sitting there understanding that I was completely separated from God, I was completely lost. I was headed for eternal damnation and I deserved it. Oh, but Pastor D, no, you're just a young person. No, in my heart, I did know right and wrong. I did know when I did something bad, I felt horrible about it. my conscience was telling me and what your conscience is. God already told us what our conscience is. He said that is his law written in our hearts. He's written it in the heart of every person. Every person that comes into this world. That's why we are all held accountable because we all know. We know murder's wrong. We know adultery is wrong. We know stealing's wrong. We know lying's wrong. That's why we have to create false doctrines to tell us it's okay for me. I'm still righteous. I'm still right with God if I live habitually in a lifestyle of these things. That's why we have false doctrines like I'm once saved, always saved, no matter how I live. That's not what the Bible says. Now go to Galatians chapter 5 19. We're going to read this. This should be on a plaque outside plastered next to the front door of every church in America. And if so, we'd have revival. Because you know what revival is? Revival is when dead Christians return to God, return to the word, return to truth, get out of their sin, get out of their lukewarmness. Now, he tells us here what the works of the flesh are. He doesn't want us to be confused about anything. What are works? What is he talking about work? Work is what you do. You you go to work Monday through Friday. That's what you do habitually, right? Eight hours. I know what you do, right? o work is something you do ongoing habitually. You practice it. He says, "Now the works of the flesh are manifest or revealed." Which are these? And he says, "Aduly, fornication." I just explained what those are. uncleanness, which is again moral uncleanness, doing things, horrible, unspeakable things. Lasciviousness, meaning have no control when it comes to sexual issues. Let's keep going. Idolatry, worshiping Mary, worshiping statues, idols, anything like that. Witchcraft, I don't care if you call it white witchcraft, black voodoo, hoodoo, whatever. Witchcraft is a sin that will separate you from God forever. Hatred, any kind of And you know what the word hatred is? Y'all y'all think I don't

  13. hate anybody all Let me tell you what what you y'all want. The original Greek definition of the word hatred. Y'all want it? To love somebody less than you should. Oh, that changes everything, doesn't it? All right. Hatred. He says variance, emulations again that's jealousies, wrath, strife, sedition, heresies, wrath that means to violence. Envying that means resentful of other people because they seem to have an advantage you don't have. Murder, drunkenness, rellings, and such like. Of the which I tell you before, as I have also told you in time past, that they which do such things shall not inherit the kingdom of God. The Greek word do there those who do such things is the Greek word paso and it means to practice habitually. So if you do these things the reing means drunken partying that's what I used to do. Woohoo Sigma Kai fraternity four or five days a week drunken partying. I was really a teenage alcoholic. But look at this. We think we see this drunkenness. Oh, Pastor Dean, now it's not a sin to have a drink. Didn't say that. But it is a sin to get drunk. Well, I don't get drunk. I get tipsy. Tipsy is stage one of drunk, just for those of you who don't know. And let me just go and tell you, back in the day when I could drink a 12-pack of beer and still go, I knew I knew females that if they had two beers or two glasses of wine, that was pretty much it for them. And here's the thing about drinking, and I know I I'm not I'm pausing on this for a reason, but here's the thing about drinking I learned. If you do it, I don't care how much you think you're in control. If you do it habitually, you will end up doing things that you said you would never do. Had I not had alcohol in my life back then, there are things that I would never have done, but I did them because I was drunk or tipsy. And let me tell you what that was about to do was not only get me killed drinking and driving, but it was going to get me killed in a bar somewhere cuz I kept going to those places. And you either get, you know, you either get real happy or real mean. One of the two, right? Stuff's going to happen. But bad stuff. You put yourself in these bad places and especially women. Oh, now they can slip something in your drink so easy. But let's go to 1 Corinthians chapter 6. I'm going read a little bit more of this. You say, "Pastor, why you doing this this morning?" Cuz y'all need to know it.

  14. Cuz I guarantee you that 99 out of a 100 churches you visit this morning will not tell you this. They used to, but they don't anymore. And I've been doing this now for almost 40 years. And guess what? Every so often, right? He knows. Every so often, I got to back it up. We got to cover this ground again. Now, let's drop down to what around verse nine, I think it is. He says this right here. This is in the book of First Corinthians. Paul writes this to the Corinthian church. Now, think about this. He's writing this to Christians who were already born again. They were, say this with me. They were born again. They were born again. But they were not ready. They were not ready. You know why? They had gotten born again. They had believed in Jesus when Paul came there. They had believed in Jesus, died for their sins. They had repented. They had started following Jesus. They had left a lot of the the the horrible things that they were doing, a lot of them. But but but then a lot of these born again Christians started guess what? Going back to their old sins and their old habits. And Paul had to write to them and he had to say know ye not that the unrighteous shall not inherit the kingdom of God. Be not deceived. Neither fornicators, heterosexuals before marriage, sin outside of marriage. Nor idolattors, anything you put before God that you worship, honor, or serve. Adulterers, again, heterosexuals cheating on their spouses. The effeminate. Ah, this is an interesting word. This in the Greek is a kamite, which is an early term for a sodomite and a pedophile. So this right here again means pretty much means men who act like women. Oh, and then he says this, abusers of themselves with mankind. This is literally the act of sodomy it's talking about. And then he says, nor thieves, nor covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor extortioners shall inherit the kingdom of God. Somebody say amen or roll me. Right? So two places already he said if you do these things, if you live this way, if this is your lifestyle, don't kid yourself. You will not inherit the kingdom of God. Even if you were born again at one time, you might still be born again, but it doesn't mean you're ready. Doesn't mean you won't be separated from God at the judgment. See, the judgment's when we're going to find out who's getting in and who's not.

  15. Go to Revelation 21, verse 6. We're going to read this right here. Amen. Or me. Right. Say, "Pastor Dean, wait a minute now. I thought we're doing a wedding today." That Well, this isn't the wedding. This is church. Amen. And I gave them an opportunity said, "Hey, we can have we don't have to have it on Sunday." And they said, "No, they want it on Sunday." I'm like, "All right. You might have some questions to answer." [laughter] This is Jesus speaking. He said unto me, "It is done. I am Alpha and Omega, the beginning and the end. I will give unto him that is a thirst of the fountain of the water of life freely. He that overcomemeth," what? Overcome what? What do you have to overcome? What did we just read about the works of the flesh? You better overcome that. We're going to go to Romans 8 and I'm going to show you. But he says, "He that overcomemeth shall inherit all things and I will be his God and he shall be my son or daughter." And then he says this, "But." Somebody say, "But." But the fearful, and that means a fear that keeps you from following Jesus. I'm worried about what everybody else thinks at work about me not drinking with them anymore. You better forget that. Oh, I'm I I'm I'm afraid of what people might think if I say anything about homosexuality. Oh, that's fear. Oh, I'm afraid I I to say anything that about Islam that's negative because, you know, I don't want anybody to be upset. Oh, that's fear. You see, I ain't scared. Here's a fact. Muslim scholars admit Muhammad married a girl when she was six and had sex with her when she was nine. What is that? I ain't scared to say it, but he says the fearful and the unbelieving, the abominable and murderers and whorungers. What's a whoreonger? Chasing Sorcerers and idolattors and all liars. Somebody say liars. Liars. All liars shall have their part in the lake that burns with fire and brimstone, which is the second death. Second death, not ceasing to exist. It's a second separation from God. What was the first? When you were born into sin and then you chose to sin, you were in spiritual death, separated from knowing God and being intimate with God. What he's saying here is if you choose to live this way in the works of the flesh, he says you will experience the second death which means eternal separation from God. Say, "Pastor Dean, we just don't believe in this anymore. We don't believe in hell. I don't care what you believe. I'm telling you the truth. My job that God called me to do when I was 19 years old was to warn you that this day is coming for you. It's appointed unto man." It says in Hebrews 9, I believe it is verse 27. I think it says it appointed unto man once to die.

  16. After this the judgment. Now, some of us may be here when Jesus returns and we get to go meet him in the air. But there is a fact that every person, whether they've been born again or not, will stand before the judgment of God to give an account of their life, how they chose to live. And I tell people all the time, you're going to end up in the place of the one you choose to follow. It's that simple. But I tell people all the time, here's a good idea. Break up with the devil and give him back his stuff. Amen. Because see, what is the Bible? What does the Bible say? We're we're doing a wedding today. But the Bible says the church, those those bornagain people, the church make up born again people. He said those bornagain people must be ready. They must be righteous. You want a bride that loves you. You want a bride that's faithful to you. Right, guys? I hope so. Are you a weird pervert or something? Jesus said his bride is going to be without spot or wrinkle or any such thing. Will you be born again and ready? I hope appointed unto man once to die after this is judgment. Now go to Romans 8. Let's read something. And hey, it's only 11:30, so I'm doing good. I know it's hot in here, but it's Alabama, y'all. Air conditioner is not handling it. Two, three of them not handling. So, Romans 8. Can you imagine back in the day my when my great-grandparents were going to church, no air conditioning? Good night. How they lived, I don't know. Now, let's read this. Now, this is to the born again. This is to those that say they believe in Jesus. He says in verse one, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus." Now, let me just say this right now. If you have a Bible that stops right there, you have a counterfeit Bible. You have a messed up translation because that's not where it stops. The original Greek manuscripts going back, we know exactly what Bibles are correct, and a lot of them are not. But this King James, you can know is correct. And he says, "There is therefore now no condemnation to them which are in Christ Jesus, who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit." Now, what did I just read? What are those things of the flesh? Adultery, homosexuality, fornication, affeminate, witchcraft, hatred. I mean, I go down the list, right? So, he says you have to

  17. be in Christ Jesus. That's being born again through faith, believing he died on the cross for your sins and rose from the dead. But then you have to make yourself ready by taking up your cross, turning from your sin and your old life and walking in a brand new one, walking after the things of the spirit, not the things of the world. Y'all understand? He says, "For the law of the spirit of life in Christ Jesus has made me free from the law of sin and death. For what the law could not do in that it was weak through the flesh, God sending his own son in the likeness of sinful flesh and for sin condemn sin in the flesh that the righteousness of the law might be. Somebody say might be might be. What does might be mean? It could or it could not. We have to see, right? He says, "But that the righteousness of the law might be fulfilled in us who walk not after the flesh, but after the spirit. For they that are after the flesh do mind or keep their mind and actions on the things of the flesh, the things I've listed this morning. But they that are after the spirit, the things of the spirit. For to be carnally minded, that's immorally, fleshly, worldly minded, is death, separation from God. But to be spiritually minded, is life and peace. Because the carnal mind is immity or an enemy against God. For it is not subject to the law of God, neither indeed can be. So then they that are in the flesh cannot please God. But you are not in the flesh, but in the spirit, if so be the spirit of God dwell in you. Now if any man have not the spirit of Christ, he is none of his. So and again I could keep reading this but let's go down to verse 16. I just want to read this one. He said, "The spirit itself or himself beareth witness with our spirit that we are children of God." The Bible could not be more clear about this that you must be born again through faith in his blood, the atoning blood, meaning the sacrificial blood that he became the sacrifice for sins, your [snorts] sins, my sins, sins of the whole world. And if you believe that with all your heart, that he rose from the dead on the third day and you say, "Jesus, forgive me my sins. Be Lord of my life, I'm going to follow you." If you mean that, if you're serious about that, then what will happen is the Holy Spirit himself will come in and bear witness with you. That is being born again. That can happen today. It can happen tomorrow. It might have happened to you sometime in the past like it did for me. But then after that, I tell people all the time, it's not what you choose to do on Sunday.

  18. It's what you do on Monday and Tuesday and Wednesday. And where are we going to find you a month from now, three months from now, six months from now? See, that's what I did in 1987. I left a modeling career. I was supposed to I was on my way to Hollywood to be in the first Die Hard movie with Bruce Willis. I had a part already in the movie. I was already making Think about this. 1987, $200 an hour modeling. And that didn't count commercials. If you did commercials and touch the product, you got thousands of dollars. And I was partying. I was a college student. I was having sexual sin, doing drugs, drinking on my way to Hollywood already signing autographs for people wanting autographs from me. And then God got me. See, I was born again because I got born again when I was like 11. But I wasn't ready because I fell away. I walked away. I chose to live an immoral, sinful life. And when I was 19, the devil had blinded me for a while. But when I was 19 and all that was going on in my life, I said, I'm gonna take the summer, a little bit of the summer, and I'm gonna go see my dad out in Oklahoma, work for a little while, make a little money before I go to Hollywood to California. Started working. I had to go across the state line into Arkansas. Started working at a little restaurant. This guy that owned the restaurant was a born again, spiritfilled onfire Christian. And you know what he started laying on me? He, "Oh, you might be saved. You might have gotten saved when you were young, but you're not ready cuz you're a drunkard." And the Bible says no drunker would inherit the kingdom of God. He said, "You're a fornicator. You love satanic music." Oh, and did I? You know, all of them have sold their soul to the devil to get where they are. He said, "You love them more than you love God." In fact, he showed me about the satanic worship and uh in rock and roll and hip hop and everything else that was out there. And he showed me all that satanic worship and the Lord, you know what the Lord said to me through that? I was listening to that about it was just showing all the satanic lyrics and how they all admit it. And the Lord spoke to me and my heart at that time said, "You're no better than them.

  19. They might worship Satan, but you follow Satan through your actions." And what happened to me was I realized, yeah, I had gotten saved. I had gotten born again when I was 11 years old, but I was far from ready to stand before the judgment seat of Almighty God. Had I had to stand before God at 19 years old, he would have looked at me and he would have said, "Depart from me, you cursed individual." He would have had the angels come in and drag me out and put me in hell where I deserved. Why? Because I had been following the one who hell was made for. Let me just tell you this right now. Hell wasn't made for us. Hell was not made for human beings. It was made for the devil and his angels. But if you follow them and you love them and you love their stuff, you're going to end up with them. It's that simple. Whose hand you holding? Who you walking with? That's the questions you got to ask yourself. God's standard of sin. What is sin? Or my standard of what is sin? Oh, pastor. Uh, God loves everybody. Even Hitler's in he, you know, I've heard that one. Group of homosexuals at Auburn University came out and told me Hitler was in heaven. Whole group of them, their professor wanted to argue with me. I said, 'Well, I said, ' So, you're going to tell me you believe that Hitler is in heaven? So, yeah. I said, 'Well, let me ask you a question. I had this whole group home say we were standing out in Auburn University. I said, "Let me ask you a question." I said, "What about the guy down the road here who goes and snatches a 5-year-old little girl from somebody and rapes them and tortures them to death?" What do you think about those individuals? Woo! The whole atmosphere change. Oh no, that guy's going to hell. I said, "Oh, so now y'all believe in hell all of a sudden." And I said, "But see here's the problem. I agree with you. The pedophile, the rapist, the molester of children, they're going to hell. The Bible says it's better for them a millstone hung about than it. They are damning themselves to eternal punishment, eternal separation from God. But here, hear me. I said, but the problem with you guys is that you we I found your standard of righteousness. But see, I said, God has another one.

  20. See, you're all about Yeah. Let God judge the pedophile. But I'm not that bad. What that is is you're trusting your own righteousness. You're thinking, "Well, I'm not a pedophile, so I'm not that bad." Right? But if you're an adulterer, a fornicator, a drunkard, a homosexual, a drug user, a violent person, an unforgiving person, you're going to find yourself separated from God just like the pedophile. Now granted, the Bible does teach there are going to be degrees of punishment in eternity, and I believe the pedophiles are going to find themselves in one of the worst spots there is. But let me just tell you right now, if there was no eternal punishment, let me just tell you this. But somebody just said, Dean, if you choose to live in sin and you're living in sin, you're just going to be separated from God. You won't know Jesus for all eternity. You will never see him. You will never be around him. You will never get to experience his presence again. To me, that's hell enough. Even if there was no punishment, no fire, no justice. You know why? See, if you get born again, this is something that happens to you. You encounter the presence, power, love of Jesus, of the God who made you like nothing you've ever felt. It was better than any drug I ever did. 1:00:121 hour, 12 secondsThe Bible says his about his love is better than wine. Yeah. Oh yeah. 1:00:181 hour, 18 secondsThere's no hanging over a toilet, the bed spinning. 1:00:251 hour, 25 secondsBut see, since I repented and gave my life back to Jesus, there have been times 1:00:321 hour, 32 secondsas I've spent time in prayer, sometimes fasting, just time alone with him, that 1:00:401 hour, 40 secondshis presence and glory and power has come down upon me so strong. 1:00:461 hour, 46 secondsIt's so you get a you get a a just a hint of what eternity is going to be like with him. 1:00:561 hour, 56 secondsAnd let me just tell you right now, I don't want to miss out on that forever. 1:01:061 hour, 1 minute, 6 secondsThere ain't no sexual sin or drug or drunkenness or partying or worldliness 1:01:151 hour, 1 minute, 15 secondsthat's worth being separated from the one who created you. Ain't nothing ain't nothing here 1:01:231 hour, 1 minute, 23 secondsworth it. Y'all see last year we'll share this. I'm going to quit early. Man, this is it's only 11:45. 1:01:371 hour, 1 minute, 37 secondsOne year ago, I was on the golf course. 1:01:411 hour, 1 minute, 41 secondsDonnie was with me and all of a sudden I started having this pain in my chest and running down my arm. 1:01:511 hour, 1 minute, 51 secondsStarted couldn't where I couldn't breathe. Had to sit down. 1:01:581 hour, 1 minute, 58 secondsCould barely walk up the hill. 1:02:031 hour, 2 minutes, 3 secondsAnd basically I was having a heart attack. 1:02:101 hour, 2 minutes, 10 secondsBeing a stubborn man that I am, I'm like, "Ah, I'm just going to go home. I'm going to walk it off. 1:02:201 hour, 2 minutes, 20 secondsI'll be all right. I just need to go home and cool off and rest for a minute." Well, it kept happening. 1:02:271 hour, 2 minutes, 27 secondsFinally, I go and have a EKG and I have the stress test and they're like, "Yeah, you got a problem." Then I have the heart cathization. 1:02:401 hour, 2 minutes, 40 secondsThey find out that the four main arteries of my heart at the time, two 100% blocked, two 90% blocked. 1:02:511 hour, 2 minutes, 51 secondsI think I said that wrong one time before, but it was two 100% and two 90%. 1:02:571 hour, 2 minutes, 57 secondsSo, of course, they scheduled me for possible quadruple bypass surgery. 1:03:051 hour, 3 minutes, 5 secondsIn the meantime, the surgery was scheduled for 3 weeks away. 1:03:101 hour, 3 minutes, 10 secondsAnd I was having episodes with my heart like I could hardly do anything. I was having to take nitroglycerin pills 1:03:171 hour, 3 minutes, 17 secondsbecause I would start having the the chest pain and the pain in my arm and 1:03:251 hour, 3 minutes, 25 secondsand um the realization came over me and that was last year. So I was 57 years old. 1:03:341 hour, 3 minutes, 34 secondsThe realization came over me when I found out how bad shape the arteries of my heart were in. I thought, you know, 1:03:421 hour, 3 minutes, 42 secondsover the last few years, at any moment, I could have had the massive, 1:03:511 hour, 3 minutes, 51 secondsyou know, heart attack and died and had no idea that my heart was in that shape. 1:04:001 hour, 4 minutesAnd I thought I could have just dropped dead on that golf course. And it hit me like a freight train. 1:04:111 hour, 4 minutes, 11 secondsYou never know when your day is coming. 1:04:201 hour, 4 minutes, 20 secondsAnd God had mercy on me. And I'll tell you the the rest of the story. 1:04:241 hour, 4 minutes, 24 secondsFor three weeks, we prayed and everybody out there that watches were praying for me. And everybody, our church family is praying for me and asking the Lord to 1:04:321 hour, 4 minutes, 32 secondsheal me because we believe that Jesus is still the same Jesus. They can still heal any manner of sickness and disease and do anything. 1:04:411 hour, 4 minutes, 41 secondsBut it's still his it's still his choice. What? But we ask and we believe. We ask in faith. 1:04:481 hour, 4 minutes, 48 secondsAnd I said to the Lord through that time I was praying. And let me just say this with you. I was not afraid. You know why? Because I wasn't just born again. I knew I was ready. 1:05:021 hour, 5 minutes, 2 secondsAnd I said, 'Lord, I know I'm ready to go. I'm ready to be with you. I miss him. 1:05:101 hour, 5 minutes, 10 secondsEvery every day I live and I don't feel his presence like I have before, I miss it. 1:05:171 hour, 5 minutes, 17 secondsI want to be with Jesus. I can't wait to be with Jesus. And Paul said that. He said, "Oh, to be with the Lord is far 1:05:251 hour, 5 minutes, 25 secondsbetter, but to remain here is needful for you. And I don't want to leave my wife just yet or my daughters or my 1:05:321 hour, 5 minutes, 32 secondsgrandchildren or my church family. Not just yet. 1:05:381 hour, 5 minutes, 38 secondsBut I said, "Lord," and I'm not against medicine and surgeries or anything like that. If you got to go to the hospital, you got to go to doctor. I've been I've had surgery. I've had the Lord 1:05:461 hour, 5 minutes, 46 secondsintervene. But here's what happened. I said, "Lord, I'll have the surgery if you want me to have it." I said to him, "But I'd rather not, [laughter] 1:05:551 hour, 5 minutes, 55 secondsyou know, don't want to have my chest cracked open, my heart stopped, you know, while they put in the new valve, then restarted, you know, and all that 1:06:031 hour, 6 minutes, 3 secondsstuff." Did y'all know that when you have bypass, they stop your heart? Your heart is no longer beating for a little bit. 1:06:141 hour, 6 minutes, 14 secondsI said, I'd rather not do that and have to have months of recovery and all this stuff. But I said, "I will if that's 1:06:211 hour, 6 minutes, 21 secondswhat you want me to do, if that's the plan for me, but I'd rather just be healed." 1:06:281 hour, 6 minutes, 28 secondsSo about 3 weeks into it, getting ready to go have the surgery, one morning about 5:30, I got up to pray 1:06:361 hour, 6 minutes, 36 secondsand I heard the Lord say to me, "Postpone the surgery." And I thought, "Okay." 1:06:461 hour, 6 minutes, 46 secondsAnd because I wasn't going to tell them, I'm just not doing it. I know what the Lord says like just tell them you'll postpone it but we ain't doing this right. 1:06:541 hour, 6 minutes, 54 secondsSo I you know that's 5:30 in the morning I kind of get doing my rest of my stuff. I notice though that I'm feeling better. 1:07:031 hour, 7 minutes, 3 secondsI'm not having the chest pain so down the line. 1:07:071 hour, 7 minutes, 7 secondsBut about I don't know a little after lunch I get a phone call. It's the surgeon's office telling me that they're 1:07:151 hour, 7 minutes, 15 secondsgoing to have to postpone the surgery because the surgeon's having a medical issue. 1:07:221 hour, 7 minutes, 22 secondsAnd I'm like, "Huh? All right, Lord." To me, that was a confirmation of what 1:07:291 hour, 7 minutes, 29 secondshe told me in my spirit that morning where he said to me, and I knew that I was and he told me, he said, "Trust me." 1:07:381 hour, 7 minutes, 38 secondsI said, "Okay." And I said, 'You know, I could have been dead at any point in the last few years. You've been keeping 1:07:451 hour, 7 minutes, 45 secondsme alive, so I guess I'll just trust you to keep me alive. And let me tell you what happened. 1:07:531 hour, 7 minutes, 53 secondsThe pain stopped. 1:07:561 hour, 7 minutes, 56 secondsI mean, if I I was having trouble just walking up a slight little hill, right, and not having a heart attack over it. 1:08:041 hour, 8 minutes, 4 secondsNow I go out in my shed in this heat and work out with weights, been back to the golf course. 1:08:111 hour, 8 minutes, 11 secondsI can do it. I can do it all now. I have It's gone. I'm I know I'm healed right now. I can go back and have 1:08:191 hour, 8 minutes, 19 secondsanother heart cathization, but I I'm going to tell you what, that was torture in itself. I'm not doing that again. Right? 1:08:271 hour, 8 minutes, 27 seconds[sighs] 1:08:281 hour, 8 minutes, 28 secondsBut I can tell you this again. Say, "Well, Pastor Dean, what if it's not? 1:08:341 hour, 8 minutes, 34 secondsI'm ready." Y'all understand? I am not afraid to die. 1:08:431 hour, 8 minutes, 43 secondsNot because I have deceived myself, but because I know Jesus. 1:08:511 hour, 8 minutes, 51 secondsI don't just know about him because grandma told me. I know Jesus for myself. 1:08:581 hour, 8 minutes, 58 secondsI know that I am born again. I know that I am washed in his blood. I know that the power of his Holy Spirit lives 1:09:051 hour, 9 minutes, 5 secondswithin me. I know that I am obeying him and walking with him and not living the life I used to live. 1:09:141 hour, 9 minutes, 14 secondsI know I'm ready. Are you? First, are you born again? 1:09:231 hour, 9 minutes, 23 secondsA lot of people think they are, but they're not. And secondly, are you ready? 1:09:301 hour, 9 minutes, 30 secondsMatthew 25, this is going to be my last scripture. 1:09:341 hour, 9 minutes, 34 secondsI'm not going to even go through this whole thing, but there's a parable there of the 10 virgins waiting on the bridegroom to come. You know who they represent? 1:09:451 hour, 9 minutes, 45 secondsThe 10 virgins represent the church. The bridegroom is Jesus. 1:09:541 hour, 9 minutes, 54 secondsThey're waiting on him to come. 1:09:571 hour, 9 minutes, 57 secondsAnd they all had their lamps in their hand. You know what the lamps are? The lamps are the word of God. The Bible says, "Thy word is a lamp unto my feet, 1:10:041 hour, 10 minutes, 4 secondsa light unto my path." So they all 10 had their lamps. 1:10:091 hour, 10 minutes, 9 secondsSo say this with me. They all had Bibles. 1:10:141 hour, 10 minutes, 14 secondsBut five were wise and five were foolish. The five wise, why were they wise? 1:10:231 hour, 10 minutes, 23 secondsbecause they had oil in their vessels with their lamps. What's oil represent in the Bible? Oil represents the Holy 1:10:311 hour, 10 minutes, 31 secondsSpirit who is also the spirit of truth and represents an active real 1:10:401 hour, 10 minutes, 40 secondsrelationship with God. The five wise had oil. They had the Holy Spirit. They were alive. They were their their lamps were 1:10:491 hour, 10 minutes, 49 secondslit. They were on fire. They were living for Jesus. They had a relationship with Jesus. They were ready. 1:11:001 hour, 11 minutesBut the foolish, they had their lamps. They had their Bibles. 1:11:061 hour, 11 minutes, 6 secondsThey probably had their church service and choir robes, too. 1:11:151 hour, 11 minutes, 15 secondsBut the foolish took their lamps and took no oil with them. Keep going. 1:11:241 hour, 11 minutes, 24 secondsBut the wise took oil in their vessels with their lamps. 1:11:281 hour, 11 minutes, 28 secondsAnd while the bridegroom tried, they all slumbered and slept. 1:11:321 hour, 11 minutes, 32 secondsAnd at midnight a cry was made, "Behold, the bridegroom cometh, go you out to meet him." Then all those virgins arose and trimmed 1:11:401 hour, 11 minutes, 40 secondstheir lamps. You know what trimming the lamps means? 1:11:441 hour, 11 minutes, 44 secondsMeans you cut away the bad part that's making it smoke. So they all took their Bibles and started studying them a little more, trimmed off. 1:11:561 hour, 11 minutes, 56 secondsBut it says, "Then all those virgins arose. They trimmed their lamps. And the foolish said in the wise, give us your oil, for our lamps are gone out. 1:12:051 hour, 12 minutes, 5 secondsBut the wise answered, said, not so, lest there not be enough for us and you, but go you rather to them that sell and buy for yourselves." See, this is something else that nobody can do this 1:12:131 hour, 12 minutes, 13 secondsfor you. You can't go to heaven on my oil. 1:12:171 hour, 12 minutes, 17 secondsYou understand? I can't give this to you. You have to get it yourself. You and Jesus. Amen. 1:12:261 hour, 12 minutes, 26 secondsGrandma can't save you. Nobody else can save you. You got to go to Jesus and let him save you. 1:12:331 hour, 12 minutes, 33 secondsBut he we find out while the foolish went to get their oil, 1:12:411 hour, 12 minutes, 41 secondsthe bridegroom came, and they that were ready. Somebody say ready. Ready. 1:12:501 hour, 12 minutes, 50 secondsSee, the five wise were ready and the five foolish were not ready. 1:12:571 hour, 12 minutes, 57 secondsWhich are you? Which are you? Cuz you're one of them. 1:13:061 hour, 13 minutes, 6 secondsYou're going to find yourself on one side of this aisle. Not bride or groom. 1:13:111 hour, 13 minutes, 11 secondsFoolish or unfoolish. Right? Foolish or wise. 1:13:201 hour, 13 minutes, 20 secondsA lot of people are going to say, "Oh, I love Jesus, but won't let go with the pornography." Mm- Oh, I love Jesus, but won't let go with the homosexual. Mm-m. 1:13:301 hour, 13 minutes, 30 secondsOh, I love Jesus, but I got to have my drinks. Settle my nerves. 1:13:441 hour, 13 minutes, 44 secondsNow, let me tell you something. 1:13:471 hour, 13 minutes, 47 secondsWhen you come to Jesus, and this is the key. A lot of people, this is what they want to do. They got a shelf full of idols. 1:13:581 hour, 13 minutes, 58 secondsSo for some people, their idols, their children or their education or their sex lives or whatever it is, 1:14:061 hour, 14 minutes, 6 secondsthey got this shelf full of idols and sin. And what they want to do is take uh Jesus and just add him to that shelf. 1:14:171 hour, 14 minutes, 17 secondsSo I got a little fire insurance. 1:14:211 hour, 14 minutes, 21 secondsBut see what Jesus says, if you want me, you got to remove everything off the shelf. 1:14:311 hour, 14 minutes, 31 secondsThere can be no shelf. There can be no idols. There can be nothing but you and him. 1:14:391 hour, 14 minutes, 39 secondsAmen. Let's stand. 1:14:481 hour, 14 minutes, 48 secondsput my slide, my first one back up if you would. 1:14:541 hour, 14 minutes, 54 secondsLet me tell you this.
